- 0:03Speaker 1: Enough is enough.
- 0:05Speaker 2: I don't have a high show, serious shuck and we
- 0:08Speaker 2: hold the world ransom for me.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Excuse me while I whip this house.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Broadcasting live and Atlanta, Georgia. This this is the Sports
- 0:20Speaker 4: Shot Show with Wayne Dandy.
- 0:23Speaker 2: You may began dang.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Me, come so far, comes and it comes a moth?
- 0:33Speaker 4: Isn't just.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I'm a doing Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way
- 0:41Speaker 2: you made pill began.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I'm you're listening to the Sports Shock Show.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you.
- 0:52Speaker 1: We are live. We missed you earlier in the week,
- 0:56Speaker 1: but we will try to do our best catching up
- 1:00Speaker 1: on our thoughts and pinions and emotions of the last
- 1:04Speaker 1: four or five days in sport. But good morning. It
- 1:08Speaker 1: is Thursday, Thursday night football. A great game for you
- 1:12Speaker 1: as the Packers of Green Bay take on the Lions
- 1:17Speaker 1: of Detroit eleven and one Detroit nine and three Packers.
- 1:21Speaker 1: We're talking about a game that's a division game and
- 1:24Speaker 1: a game where these are two of the teams that
- 1:27Speaker 1: are fighting for that position in the NFC to get
- 1:31Speaker 1: that buy. Everybody now in the last five six weeks
- 1:36Speaker 1: will be chasing to see if they can secure only
- 1:39Speaker 1: one team. Remember when they changed the format for the NFL.
- 1:44Speaker 1: For a long, long, long, long long time, it was
- 1:47Speaker 1: two teams. Then they changed the format where they added
- 1:49Speaker 1: an extra wildcard team, and now only one team gets
- 1:54Speaker 1: the bye. That's why the Chiefs have to keep the
- 1:58Speaker 1: foot on the pedal because teams like Buffalo and the
- 2:02Speaker 1: Stellers are chasing them on the AFC side. National signing
- 2:07Speaker 1: date was yesterday. We'll talk about that and who won,
- 2:12Speaker 1: who lost. I saw my Auburn Tigers was still able
- 2:17Speaker 1: to but a losing season at five and seven, still
- 2:20Speaker 1: be able to keep their recruiting class to their free
- 2:24Speaker 1: agent class. How about that together to crack the top
- 2:30Speaker 1: ten of recruitment. And out of that top ten, I
- 2:34Speaker 1: want to say six of those teams were Florida was
- 2:38Speaker 1: back in the mix, Texas as you would imagine, Alabama, Georgia.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I think the two biggest surprises with their records were
- 2:46Speaker 1: Auburn and Florida as far as keeping their commits. And
- 2:52Speaker 1: this is just the first national signing date. As we
- 2:55Speaker 1: talk about new things, this has been an early admission.
- 3:03Speaker 1: So these young men, a lot of them, have decided
- 3:07Speaker 1: they're going to skip the rest of their senior year
- 3:10Speaker 1: in high school and head off to college when the
- 3:14Speaker 1: semester starts in January. Again, that's what the early signing,
- 3:21Speaker 1: and I said, you have to take a couple of
- 3:22Speaker 1: years to see if that equates to what the.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Young men want.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Young men want to believe that they left and they
- 3:31Speaker 1: go early, it will send them on a faster track
- 3:35Speaker 1: to the NFL. I guess you have to wait and
- 3:37Speaker 1: see if that is the case. As I've always stated,
- 3:41Speaker 1: I believe that in those years, go finish to other
- 3:45Speaker 1: things that you were doing. Because some of these young
- 3:47Speaker 1: men are on the track team, and some of these
- 3:50Speaker 1: young men are on their basketball and baseball teams, but
- 3:55Speaker 1: they're basically forfitting the rest of their senior year and
- 4:00Speaker 1: what that entails from senior dances and proms to graduation
- 4:07Speaker 1: on an official program. They still will graduate, they still
- 4:13Speaker 1: get their diplomas and things like that, but they're not
- 4:16Speaker 1: going to walk I guess, unless maybe they go back
- 4:21Speaker 1: in May or June. But right now, most of them
- 4:24Speaker 1: are headed off to college off of these early signings,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and we will see if this helps. Because a lot
- 4:31Speaker 1: of guys Juju Lewis Carrollton playing Buford semi finals tomorrow
- 4:38Speaker 1: night game. I'll be calling at seven point thirty. Beauford
- 4:42Speaker 1: got about nine hundred and seventy eight college commits and Carrollton,
- 4:47Speaker 1: who have Juju Lewis, got about nine hundred and eighty
- 4:51Speaker 1: six college commits.
- 4:53Speaker 2: So it's basically like a.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Senior All Star game when you go down the line
- 4:59Speaker 1: of different play different guys where they're committed. We're talking
- 5:04Speaker 1: about Nebraska's, the Alabama's Georgia. It's just big name South
- 5:09Speaker 1: Carolina all across the board. So a great game tomorrow.
- 5:13Speaker 1: If you want to watch some high school football on
- 5:17Speaker 1: GPB at seven point thirty, command you. Greg is back
- 5:20Speaker 1: in the building, big kidding, the funny man himself, the
- 5:24Speaker 1: bad producer is in the building as well, and Lord
- 5:30Speaker 1: deliver me from these pick sixes. Is where we're going
- 5:33Speaker 1: to start today. Jameis Winston Monday Night Football, literally living
- 5:41Speaker 1: up to what I spoke on about him a couple
- 5:47Speaker 1: of shows ago. And I think one of our listeners
- 5:53Speaker 1: mentioned the name Jeff George, and Jeff George was never
- 5:58Speaker 1: Jeff George is great one game and then bad the
- 6:03Speaker 1: next game. Great one game and then bad the next game.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Jameis Winston is the greatest that ever has done it
- 6:15Speaker 1: in a game, and then the greatest that has failed
- 6:21Speaker 1: in the game in the same game. Until you get
- 6:28Speaker 1: to the end, you see he's seventy percent completion, five
- 6:32Speaker 1: hundred yards, four touchdowns. But then if you go one
- 6:39Speaker 1: more decimal over, it'll say I'm strong, strong, He's strong.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It'll say four touchdowns, I mean four interceptions, two pick sixes,
- 6:54Speaker 1: and just really run back for five hundred yar Jameis
- 6:58Speaker 1: Winston and his glory. But in the press conference, as
- 7:02Speaker 1: the end, which it seems that James's way to deflect
- 7:07Speaker 1: has become, He's going to use religion in some kind
- 7:12Speaker 1: of manner. As we have seen him do his interviews.
- 7:14Speaker 1: He's going to do some kind of reference to religion,
- 7:19Speaker 1: which kind of puts the interviewer and anyone else in
- 7:23Speaker 1: a box where they can't really throw the stones when
- 7:30Speaker 1: he goes there, Big Kenny Comanche, Bad producer. Did y'all
- 7:34Speaker 1: see mister Jamis after the game saying praying for help
- 7:41Speaker 1: not to throw pick sixes? I saw it, Yeah, I saw.
- 7:46Speaker 1: What was your impressions of it?
- 7:51Speaker 3: He's he's been one of those quarterbacks that always seem
- 7:55Speaker 3: like he's doing too much, like or he's like overthinking.
- 8:00Speaker 3: The reputation of being like a really smart player, like
- 8:04Speaker 3: someone who really understands. He he he watched his film
- 8:09Speaker 3: like he had a Peyton Manning type of reputation as
- 8:13Speaker 3: far as like knowledge, but it doesn't seem to translate
- 8:19Speaker 3: on the field the same way like he he It's
- 8:21Speaker 3: like he's he's made a decision to throw to this guy,
- 8:24Speaker 3: but then then he changes his mind. It's like, oh, actually,
- 8:27Speaker 3: this guy's it's he's doing too much on the field.
- 8:30Speaker 3: He's overthinking, and that that's what leads to some of
- 8:34Speaker 3: those some of those turnovers. Like yeah, he may throw
- 8:36Speaker 3: for almost five hundred yards, but counting the interceptions, he
- 8:40Speaker 3: threw for almost seven hundred yards.
- 8:43Speaker 6: Yeah, Jameis's one of those once in a lifetime sports
- 8:48Speaker 6: characters that you gotta enjoy. I just like you see
- 8:52Speaker 6: him praying, you see him during the games, all the antics,
- 8:56Speaker 6: and then like Mike greg Is, like you find out
- 8:59Speaker 6: this IQ football IQ is out the window. But it's
- 9:03Speaker 6: just like when the game, when the lights come on,
- 9:05Speaker 6: it seemed like something stops and maybe you can help
- 9:08Speaker 6: us with that, I mean, with all the quarterbacks you
- 9:10Speaker 6: play with.
- 9:10Speaker 2: What do you think? What do you think it could
- 9:13Speaker 2: be that?
- 9:13Speaker 1: Well, I gotta get the big Kenny's view of what
- 9:17Speaker 1: James had to say after the game on Monday night.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Blast Feming He up there, Blastpheming. No, it ain't got
- 9:24Speaker 2: nothing to.
- 9:24Speaker 7: Do with your pick six. Don't put that on God.
- 9:28Speaker 7: Don't put God. God God ratio better than that, James.
- 9:33Speaker 7: I'm saying, No, God ain't not my God. My God
- 9:36Speaker 7: ain't gonna throw no five touchdowns and no five interceptions.
- 9:40Speaker 7: Don't put that on my God. My God might throw
- 9:43Speaker 7: almost interception. You see what I'm saying.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Give us the good and the bad. You give us
- 9:51Speaker 2: some bad. Don't supposed to be teaching you.
- 9:53Speaker 7: This is all I'm saying. Sports Jock said, Does that
- 9:56Speaker 7: put an interviewer in a box? I don't think it
- 9:59Speaker 7: should be allowed to smite down all of that. Don't
- 10:04Speaker 7: don't bring that here and use it as a cloak.
- 10:08Speaker 2: But no, that's that's this ingenuous man.
- 10:11Speaker 1: You're gonna bring something.
- 10:12Speaker 2: You You're going to.
- 10:14Speaker 7: Bring a baby to a fist fight in that little
- 10:18Speaker 7: thing hanging in front of you, in the harness in
- 10:20Speaker 7: front of you, and expect me to fight you man,
- 10:23Speaker 7: the man that's that just don't.
- 10:27Speaker 5: Right.
- 10:27Speaker 7: I punched you in the baby hard as I could.
- 10:30Speaker 7: And this is because that's what you get for bringing
- 10:32Speaker 7: your baby to a fish. Something that he has added
- 10:34Speaker 7: since he left Tampa. It seems to be a device
- 10:38Speaker 7: that he has added to his ultra religion is ultra
- 10:42Speaker 7: religion since he left Tampa, as a way to lead
- 10:47Speaker 7: with grace. Yeah, give me some grace. You know, I'm
- 10:50Speaker 7: out here praying and I'm doing it for the Lord,
- 10:53Speaker 7: and that's just.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Don't do that, teammate Mantra, the Lord loving Mantra.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Why not endure hardship. But I mean, what happened to that?
- 11:03Speaker 6: Why don't you just trudge the law to keep the
- 11:06Speaker 6: team embracing you see the pregate, I mean a lot
- 11:08Speaker 6: of the micd up stuff, and you know they embracing
- 11:11Speaker 6: it with him, And like you said.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It's it's the difference between the Jambs and uh Aaron Rodgers.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Because you don't like me, you'll talk bad about me,
- 11:25Speaker 1: But James and embraces everybody. So they seem to give
- 11:31Speaker 1: him lee way. They still talking about it. He prayed
- 11:34Speaker 1: for the brother that got the picture. Still, I just
- 11:38Speaker 1: want to pray for that gentleman that got that pick six.
- 11:40Speaker 2: They still talking about those sports job who is that?
- 11:44Speaker 1: I haven't heard anybody to whisper it, they said in
- 11:49Speaker 1: a very mild way.
- 11:50Speaker 7: They have to whisper because they don't want to get
- 11:52Speaker 7: the religious right against against.
- 11:55Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Sports Jock Show
- 11:57Speaker 1: right after.

- 13:50Speaker 12: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 13:52Speaker 12: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes where
- 13:55Speaker 12: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 13:58Speaker 12: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 14:02Speaker 12: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 14:05Speaker 12: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 14:09Speaker 12: a positive. I knew I needed more tools on my
- 14:11Speaker 12: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 14:15Speaker 12: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 14:17Speaker 12: father that I knew I could be. I think just
- 14:20Speaker 12: being that good role model as well. That model's good
- 14:23Speaker 12: behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 14:26Speaker 12: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 14:29Speaker 12: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 14:33Speaker 12: and watching your kids be happy.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Never stop being a dad. That's dedication. Find out more

- 15:04Speaker 2: Taking it to a completely different level.
- 15:07Speaker 4: This year where we highlight an appolete that has taken
- 15:09Speaker 4: their game to the next level.
- 15:12Speaker 14: We've gotta be shot and Katy, you can't straight to
- 15:18Speaker 14: it out of Coachman storts catch man, no security maturity found,
- 15:23Speaker 14: I don't raise my baby mom and talking soon another
- 15:25Speaker 14: palyes on the scrums, catching down man.
- 15:29Speaker 1: You make to this what shop shot up?
- 15:32Speaker 13: This?
- 15:32Speaker 1: What shops wing? Came the good morning to you. It
- 15:35Speaker 1: is Thursday. It is a little chilly here in the
- 15:39Speaker 1: Atlanta area. A lot of college football games. Uh still
- 15:44Speaker 1: to play conference championships this weekend. Georgia, Texas SEC ACC,
- 15:50Speaker 1: Clemson s m U. Uh when you look at SMU
- 15:54Speaker 1: first time in the ACC. Similar to Texas, both made
- 15:57Speaker 1: to the championship game in the Big Two. In Oregon's
- 16:00Speaker 1: first time in the Big Ten, they will play Penn's State.
- 16:04Speaker 1: You also have you in LV versus Boise and TOLSA.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Excuse me, Tulane versus Army Bad. Producer says that Southern
- 16:16Speaker 1: is going to play Jackson State and what is that
- 16:19Speaker 1: swat championship?
- 16:20Speaker 6: Yes, sir, okay and South Carolina State has won the
- 16:23Speaker 6: meek already, so they stamped their ticket to the celebration bawl.
- 16:27Speaker 2: He will be the fourteenth of December.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Fourteenth of December, okay, And Jackson State still around TC
- 16:37Speaker 1: what was the name Taylor and not the head coach TC.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Taylor who took over after the coach prime has been
- 16:44Speaker 1: manning the ship. Not as much fanfare, not as much
- 16:47Speaker 1: ticket sales. They say he was swack coach of the year,
- 16:50Speaker 1: but he has done a great job.
- 16:52Speaker 5: I think he was.
- 16:52Speaker 1: They were ten and two this year, yeah, or nine
- 16:56Speaker 1: and two something like that, swack coach of the year.
- 16:59Speaker 2: They have a question the ticket them, so.
- 17:03Speaker 7: No, they were not, and if they were, they were hyping.
- 17:07Speaker 7: They didn't have any more tickets to give of sold
- 17:12Speaker 7: out completely. I'm not talking about sold out like as
- 17:16Speaker 7: in we got fifty thousand seats. We sold out forty
- 17:19Speaker 7: nine thousands seven talking about.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Tickets.
- 17:26Speaker 7: Wasn't some of light up he hipes. He hypes, and
- 17:30Speaker 7: he was hyping that. I saw it with my own
- 17:33Speaker 7: two blurry, bloodshot eyes.
- 17:35Speaker 1: We talked about National Signing Day. Big Kitty had a
- 17:41Speaker 1: question about young players leaving early.
- 17:44Speaker 7: I do, and you alluded to do they come back
- 17:48Speaker 7: later now and this is just as it relates to
- 17:51Speaker 7: high school football players, if I can leave in December,
- 17:55Speaker 7: does that mean that my athletic my I'm sorry. My
- 17:58Speaker 7: academic advisor off in that these are the classes you'll
- 18:02Speaker 7: need to graduate by this time. And oops, look you
- 18:07Speaker 7: qualified for all of that. You satisfied all of those
- 18:09Speaker 7: requirements by December. Now you can go off to college.
- 18:12Speaker 7: Because going to college you got to have a high
- 18:13Speaker 7: school transcript correct, Yes, I thought you had to have
- 18:16Speaker 7: a high school diploma.
- 18:17Speaker 1: So are you or is it?
- 18:19Speaker 7: Don't worry about this last little semester's worth of classes.
- 18:23Speaker 2: How do they do that?
- 18:24Speaker 1: You have graduated from high school early? They take classes
- 18:30Speaker 1: during the well, the summer is bigger, is a bigger time.
- 18:35Speaker 1: It's just like in college now, guys, since they're going
- 18:38Speaker 1: to go there, they take more classes.
- 18:41Speaker 7: And in high school now they're taking classes to finish
- 18:44Speaker 7: high school early. Because summer school used to be almost
- 18:46Speaker 7: like a punishment. Well, if you were no summer school.
- 18:51Speaker 7: That was always the myth of summer school. Summer school
- 18:54Speaker 7: was to sometimes make up classes that you needed that
- 19:00Speaker 7: were not offered because you might be playing a sport,
- 19:03Speaker 7: or you failed that, or you needed a higher grade in.
- 19:07Speaker 7: It wasn't always this idea that you failed a class
- 19:12Speaker 7: and now you got to go to summer school. That
- 19:13Speaker 7: was always the myth of summer school. I went to
- 19:15Speaker 7: summer school right to take CPR because during football season,
- 19:23Speaker 7: that was when the one semester they did the CPR training,
- 19:27Speaker 7: and I couldn't do it.
- 19:30Speaker 1: So summer school. Now, at high school and college level,
- 19:32Speaker 1: you can take three or four classes.
- 19:35Speaker 2: And I don't know if it's.
- 19:37Speaker 1: You can do this even if you don't play sports.
- 19:39Speaker 6: That's what I was going to That's what I was
- 19:40Speaker 6: going to say, even I don't know if it's in Georgia,
- 19:42Speaker 6: but in the state of North Caroline. One of my
- 19:44Speaker 6: little cousins, she graduated high school last year. She's already
- 19:47Speaker 6: a sophomore in college. So because of the classes that
- 19:51Speaker 6: she had been taking at the local college there, they
- 19:54Speaker 6: could take high school and did take some extended prep classes.
- 19:58Speaker 6: Then you could go and take some classes. The time
- 20:00Speaker 6: you graduate high school, you could be already a sophomore
- 20:02Speaker 6: in college.
- 20:02Speaker 7: Now I'm saying I took advance college courses in high
- 20:09Speaker 7: school to qualify for a.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Look, I understand what you said, but I'm saying about
- 20:15Speaker 6: a sophomore on campus or in the school at eighteen
- 20:19Speaker 6: years old.
- 20:20Speaker 7: They had it timed, the academic advisors had it timed
- 20:24Speaker 7: where I won't be able to but the summer school thing,
- 20:27Speaker 7: like you said, can kick in. But when I did
- 20:30Speaker 7: school in the summer, it was on a college campus.
- 20:32Speaker 7: It wasn't for high school. To advance further in high school.
- 20:36Speaker 7: Like I said, my experience, and maybe that's what I'm
- 20:39Speaker 7: trapped in, was for people who had failed a class
- 20:42Speaker 7: or had missed it, or it wasn't offered. Now, I
- 20:47Speaker 7: had very limited experience with classes that weren't offered every
- 20:51Speaker 7: semester either, That's what I'm saying. So it confused me
- 20:55Speaker 7: to think that someone had put a student on track,
- 20:59Speaker 7: even for football, or even without football being consideration, to
- 21:03Speaker 7: graduate early, and it just happened to work out where
- 21:06Speaker 7: I can graduate early and go off to this big
- 21:08Speaker 7: time football program and get this nil deal. So I'm
- 21:13Speaker 7: just concerned that they're skipping steps here, and with what
- 21:17Speaker 7: you've just said, there are checks and balances for that.
- 21:21Speaker 7: But that was my question in that vein, is how
- 21:24Speaker 7: are you going to college without a high school transcript
- 21:28Speaker 7: or high school diploma.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Yeah, they're leaving with their diploma Okay, they're actually graduates
- 21:33Speaker 1: and are in uh fall, I mean winter training sessions.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Wow.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Wow, And that's how it's been going. That's I mean,
- 21:43Speaker 1: it's been a good decade since they've started.
- 21:45Speaker 7: That, And I would love to talk to some of
- 21:48Speaker 7: them kids, Like you say, how do you feel about
- 21:51Speaker 7: not being there when.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Now the reclassific The reclassification part is a new spin exactly,
- 22:00Speaker 1: someone like a juju Lewis Carlton really is a junior
- 22:07Speaker 1: who's graduating and leaving to go to Colorado. And but
- 22:12Speaker 1: then it's the same You've been planning this. So from
- 22:16Speaker 1: the first time you stepped on campus as a freshman,
- 22:19Speaker 1: you were always going to summer. Your class work was
- 22:23Speaker 1: always set up to make this happen. You was taking
- 22:27Speaker 1: the extra hours. You were going to summer school in
- 22:32Speaker 1: a full class situation, not to take one particular you
- 22:37Speaker 1: taking a full load load.
- 22:40Speaker 6: And like you say, reclassifying up, it's something new. Reclassifying
- 22:44Speaker 6: back has always been available for the athlete, but this
- 22:49Speaker 6: new pert.
- 22:49Speaker 1: That was based on age.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Age.
- 22:51Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, you are correct, because some states you could
- 22:54Speaker 6: play up to twenty in high school in nineteen.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it was based on age where you could go
- 22:58Speaker 1: back or, but now you can which your schooling. My
- 23:02Speaker 1: that's and that's why as we go to Greg, guy
- 23:04Speaker 1: was saying, mine is finishing the process of those little particulars. Yeah,
- 23:09Speaker 1: some of these guys are were on the basketball team,
- 23:13Speaker 1: they were on the track team, they were on the
- 23:15Speaker 1: baseball and they're not gonna get to finish that deal.
- 23:18Speaker 5: Right.
- 23:19Speaker 7: Baseball team went state champions and you didn't get you
- 23:22Speaker 7: missed out on the tip.
- 23:23Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show.
- 23:25Speaker 7: Read after this forget the luck of miss I got
- 23:28Speaker 7: the days the tamelet you.

- 23:44Speaker 15: Daisy was abandoned by her family and placed in foster
- 23:48Speaker 15: care at fifteen years old. Her life was full of uncertainty.
- 23:53Speaker 15: She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 23:58Speaker 16: Before I was adopted, like I wasn't enough. I had
- 24:01Speaker 16: this hole in my heart and I never knew what
- 24:03Speaker 16: I needed to patch that hole. But when my mom
- 24:07Speaker 16: asked to adopt me, that hole was closed. It feels
- 24:10Speaker 16: so normal now to say that I'm a part of
- 24:12Speaker 16: this family. I am surrounded by love, I feel safe
- 24:16Speaker 16: and that hole inside of me is gone.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I am whole.
- 24:20Speaker 16: I'm finally enough just as I am.
- 24:23Speaker 15: The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is changing the lives

- 24:44Speaker 17: I ever tried balancing a dozen eggs in one hand
- 24:46Speaker 17: while hopping on one foot, or maybe juggling cats while
- 24:49Speaker 17: riding the unicycle. Sounds ridiculous, right, but guess what? That's
- 24:54Speaker 17: exactly what texting while.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Driving is like.

- 26:32Speaker 1: You welcome back to the sport Shock Show. I'm the
- 26:49Speaker 1: Sport Shock Wayne Candy. The biggest news outside of James
- 26:53Speaker 1: praying for the Lord to God his pick sixes, which
- 26:58Speaker 1: I have no idea why you think the Lord has
- 27:01Speaker 1: anything to do with any of your daily activity? Uh
- 27:06Speaker 1: some of y'all. I mean, I'm just telling you from
- 27:08Speaker 1: my religious point. Some of y'all have always drank the
- 27:12Speaker 1: kool aid on that the Lord blessed us with free will.
- 27:18Speaker 1: In the sense of free will, why would you think
- 27:21Speaker 1: he actually gave you the choice. I'm telling you, I'm
- 27:27Speaker 1: not gonna make the choice. I told you what choice
- 27:29Speaker 1: to make. God would see the open receiver, because remember
- 27:32Speaker 1: I sent you the thing, the publication, Yes, and I
- 27:34Speaker 1: told you not to go to the strip club.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Listen, God would see the eye.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Remember I told you, I said I sent you lose. Yes. Well,
- 27:43Speaker 1: I didn't really call it like a laws, you know.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I said I called it commandments. Yes, and so I
- 27:53Speaker 1: told you what you should and shouldn't do already, and
- 27:55Speaker 1: that was that. I ain't got but ten. I'm pretty
- 28:00Speaker 1: I doubt he was. I'm quite sure God lost a
- 28:04Speaker 1: bet to Moses in that Cleveland game. I'm telling cause
- 28:09Speaker 1: Moses kept telling me, you know, James, James, he underlive.
- 28:13Speaker 7: But God, my child, he's been praying more, even praying
- 28:18Speaker 7: he don't. We're gonna meet the spread. God would have
- 28:22Speaker 7: saw that open man. I'm just saying, my God would
- 28:24Speaker 7: have saw the open man when he wouldn't have.
- 28:26Speaker 5: Threw a piz.
- 28:27Speaker 2: He can't have the faith with as job to believing what.
- 28:31Speaker 7: He started believing in hisself and stopped thinking. He's trying
- 28:35Speaker 7: to blame it on you and him. I'm gonna come
- 28:39Speaker 7: down on this fields. You out here, you better figure.
- 28:41Speaker 1: He better pray to himself and stop waiting on somebody.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Don't got that ball but my head from the laws.
- 28:49Speaker 1: The biggest he gave you, the talent. I didn't even
- 28:52Speaker 1: tell you to go play.
- 28:52Speaker 7: Footballie, Uncle Charlie said the devil working twenty four seven.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Keep praying, jameson uh praying.
- 29:00Speaker 7: I ain't just thank per Grandma and Grandma, and I
- 29:04Speaker 7: told him that the devil is a dB.
- 29:07Speaker 1: That's that's Jamie's problem. His devil is his devil is
- 29:13Speaker 1: a safety. Trevor Lawren's being knocked out of the game
- 29:18Speaker 1: of suspensions coming down for ass Al Shair. That's say
- 29:23Speaker 1: that right, I don't know I give you credit for that. Yeah,
- 29:27Speaker 1: that sounds good to Mez's Al Shahir has been suspended
- 29:31Speaker 1: three games for the hit on Trevor Lawrence. A lot
- 29:34Speaker 1: of commotion, a lot of difference, opinions from people like
- 29:38Speaker 1: Tom Brady letting quarterbacks know you got to protect yourself better.
- 29:42Speaker 1: A lot of pundits to point out this year how
- 29:46Speaker 1: and I I was sitting there listening to something. I
- 29:49Speaker 1: don't know what it was, but I felt like they
- 29:51Speaker 1: was eavesdropping on me because for years now, I've been
- 29:56Speaker 1: telling you, Patrick Mahone, Lamar Jackson, those guys have been
- 30:03Speaker 1: manipulating the slide rule. They go up in the pocket,
- 30:08Speaker 1: they make a b line to the sideline, and when
- 30:13Speaker 1: they get to the marker on the sideline, they start
- 30:16Speaker 1: going north and they try to bait. They use that
- 30:21Speaker 1: the dB Yes, the cornerback. The safety is gonna pull
- 30:26Speaker 1: up because I'm so close. If I step out, there's
- 30:30Speaker 1: another fifteen yards. You might get a jactue. They might
- 30:33Speaker 1: send you the twenty thousand dollars five. And all I
- 30:35Speaker 1: gotta do is I'm playing hard, but I'm not gonna
- 30:38Speaker 1: go out though. I'm just gonna make you look like
- 30:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna go out. And then when I tip up
- 30:42Speaker 1: the sidelines, I'm gonna get about fifteen yards and I'm
- 30:45Speaker 1: a tiptoe real quietly. Even though you see me, it's
- 30:49Speaker 1: gonna seem like it's not happening. And fifteen yards later,
- 30:53Speaker 1: you're gonna be like next time, I'm that's what they think.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Next time, I'm gonna get it. Brother, I'm not gonna
- 30:58Speaker 1: let him get me with this next time.
- 31:00Speaker 7: And then the next time he really be going out
- 31:02Speaker 7: and you lay that out shot here.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Johnny Allen and a couple of guys Picket, they used
- 31:09Speaker 1: the fake slide. They give you the seven yards sprint
- 31:13Speaker 1: and then they give you they freeze you with the
- 31:16Speaker 1: fake slide, and then they go for another eight yards.
- 31:18Speaker 2: In college, they.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Had to they changed that rule immediately after Pickett did that,
- 31:23Speaker 3: like the fake slide, Like if you look like you're
- 31:25Speaker 3: about to slide, yep, you're down right there.
- 31:27Speaker 1: So in this I only thing I thought about it.
- 31:31Speaker 1: I saw the play, I thought the ejection was correct.
- 31:35Speaker 1: I figured it would be a one game suspension like
- 31:39Speaker 1: other occurrences throughout the league. But it ended up being
- 31:44Speaker 1: a blessing for Trevor Lawrence. She didn't want to finish
- 31:47Speaker 1: this season anyway. Him and the Jags. They were looking
- 31:50Speaker 1: for a reason to put him on ir.
- 31:53Speaker 2: They said his shoulder still hurts too, So.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Yeah, going over here, I'm telling you the house is here.
- 31:59Speaker 7: Boy getting a package is doing like it's a package
- 32:02Speaker 7: from Trevor Lawrence says, Merry Christmas.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Christian McCaffrey, Trevor Lawrence. Not only are they, but their
- 32:10Speaker 1: teams are happy. They have a valid reason for keeping mind.
- 32:14Speaker 1: To just start the twenty twenty five campaign. Baby, we
- 32:17Speaker 1: don't even worry about these little last four five games.
- 32:20Speaker 1: We ain't going to the playoffs, were going to Super Bowl.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Just going over here and start getting ready. Had your
- 32:27Speaker 1: little fruits. Now they put Trevor Lawrence on I R
- 32:30Speaker 1: which is four weeks. But there's only five games left,
- 32:33Speaker 1: so you can do the map. There're two and ten.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Uh the Jaguars, I think, I think so, Trevor Lawrence.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence sitting somewhere like I shouldn't have been out there. No,
- 32:44Speaker 1: I don't know what you know.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Already officially eliminated.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Should have been taking that hit. They're probably gonna get
- 32:55Speaker 1: a new coach, Baba juice.
- 32:58Speaker 5: I know, I heard.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I heard you mentioned that you felt like it was
- 33:01Speaker 1: too extensive of a suspension. Three games and three games
- 33:06Speaker 1: for the NFL, that's a lot of that's that's too
- 33:08Speaker 1: many games. Three games for that's like three weeks for baseball,
- 33:15Speaker 1: like however, many games that is what they play about.
- 33:17Speaker 1: That's about eighteen twenty games in baseball in three weeks
- 33:22Speaker 1: in basketball is about twelve twelve thirteen. That's a lot
- 33:27Speaker 1: of games for a hit. Well in the game, it
- 33:32Speaker 1: is about. That's why I was.
- 33:34Speaker 2: That's the way I was came with the.
- 33:37Speaker 1: That's a that's what I came off the sideline and
- 33:40Speaker 1: tripped you, Mike, remember.
- 33:44Speaker 2: A specialty coach for your jacon, Yes, Jets, Jets, Jets.
- 33:48Speaker 1: That that stuck his foot. That's a three three game?
- 33:51Speaker 1: Is I came out and punched somebody on the cheerleading squad.
- 33:55Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. That's three games. Now, this
- 33:57Speaker 1: is what I asked you earlier.
- 34:00Speaker 7: Each time they can start to cover this subject, they
- 34:03Speaker 7: showed his literally greatest hits, some of the what they
- 34:06Speaker 7: considered most questionable of what he deserved to be fine for.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Was this accumulative suspension. Well even and I was gonna
- 34:14Speaker 1: tell you, even in the cumulative way that just two games.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So what so I can I can even go with
- 34:23Speaker 1: the two games based on you saying that you've got
- 34:27Speaker 1: to repeat offender, right, he habitual line step correct, But
- 34:32Speaker 1: you already ejected him from this game one that he'd
- 34:36Speaker 1: made it, then you take him out the next game.
- 34:39Speaker 2: That's two.
- 34:40Speaker 1: My good friend Derwin James. But he's for the Charger.
- 34:43Speaker 1: He's had that this year. He's on the repeat offender list.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I've noticed that. I've noticed.
- 34:49Speaker 2: So I was like, this, ain't the same dude played
- 34:51Speaker 2: piano for us, you know, different on the field.
- 34:55Speaker 1: So he is definitely on the Hey, man, we don't
- 34:58Speaker 1: even it's it's the usual suspects when it comes to
- 35:02Speaker 1: him now, it looked like it was you. Man, I
- 35:05Speaker 1: was on the other side of the field. It was
- 35:07Speaker 1: a three three. I think you need I know that feeling.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Traymond great, everyone don't get no issue.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Man, was you then?
- 35:18Speaker 1: Man?
- 35:18Speaker 18: I was?
- 35:20Speaker 1: But you were they doing this rod when some people
- 35:23Speaker 1: just become the birth fat dude from Cincinnati. Yeah, man,
- 35:26Speaker 1: you did something though, Yeah it was something you did,
- 35:30Speaker 1: birth fat. Everybody said though, everybody on the field saying
- 35:34Speaker 1: it was birfe. But what that's man, I wasn't even
- 35:36Speaker 1: on that play.
- 35:37Speaker 5: Yes you were.
- 35:38Speaker 1: That was offensive play.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it was offensive place.
- 35:40Speaker 1: But but you're being there influenced some sort of action.
- 35:44Speaker 3: I'm sure in the I saw this yesterday that when
- 35:50Speaker 3: he after the after the play. After the game, he
- 35:53Speaker 3: sent out an apologies like I'm not that kind of player,
- 35:57Speaker 3: you know, I didn't mean anything by it in the
- 35:59Speaker 3: corn and then with the suspension that's hold up as
- 36:02Speaker 3: held up, he posted the yeah the joker like you know,
- 36:07Speaker 3: pictures of the Joker saying there is well, think about
- 36:11Speaker 3: it that he's.
- 36:14Speaker 1: In every lane as time they make up what we
- 36:22Speaker 1: used to call. I don't know if the term is still.
- 36:23Speaker 1: We have to check with the BAP doc. Because y'all
- 36:25Speaker 1: got new words.
- 36:27Speaker 14: Uh.
- 36:27Speaker 1: And the word of the year according to Oxford, we'll
- 36:30Speaker 1: talk about later his brain rot. That's the word of
- 36:33Speaker 1: the year. I haven't used it this year until just then.
- 36:37Speaker 18: Uh.
- 36:37Speaker 1: But obviously y'all guys been around here talking about but
- 36:41Speaker 1: I thought that was a strange California right there. But
- 36:51Speaker 1: called what they're doing with him the poster child. They
- 36:56Speaker 1: did it with Michael Vick. You would have thought Michael
- 36:59Speaker 1: Vick invened dog fighting. They did it with Ray Rice
- 37:04Speaker 1: because Ray Rice is the first man el.
- 37:10Speaker 7: To hit the woman. Did y'all know that first one?
- 37:12Speaker 7: First man? Knock your mama down on hell, first one.
- 37:16Speaker 7: I'm saying that first one.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Think about it, Ray Rice basically got black ball from
- 37:24Speaker 1: the NFL from that incident. He never played another NFL game.
- 37:29Speaker 1: We've never really We're reported this year long a couple
- 37:34Speaker 1: of guys that assaulted they're pregnant girlfriend, a wife, Brandish
- 37:40Speaker 1: weapons and it only got two games suspensions and they
- 37:45Speaker 1: were back in action.
- 37:48Speaker 2: It's a great country we live in.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Listen, Listen. I ain't saying brandis weapon on a pregnant moment.
- 37:54Speaker 1: I'm just saying that the legal system we live under
- 37:57Speaker 1: since one that needs to be on the other side
- 37:59Speaker 1: of it. We can be respected.

- 39:57Speaker 2: Hi.
- 39:58Speaker 21: I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generational race CA and we
- 40:00Speaker 21: dedicate a lot of our time to going as fast
- 40:02Speaker 21: as possible. My Grandpa Lou is the reason why my
- 40:05Speaker 21: dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud to
- 40:07Speaker 21: follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was diagnosed
- 40:09Speaker 21: with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump in the
- 40:11Speaker 21: road for us. I've learned a lot on this journey
- 40:14Speaker 21: with my Grandpa Lou, and the memories of my grandpa
- 40:16Speaker 21: will always be with me. It's important to notice if
- 40:18Speaker 21: older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with their memory,
- 40:22Speaker 21: or having trouble with routine tasks. Talking about Alzheimer's can
- 40:25Speaker 21: be really tough, but if you notice something, have a
- 40:28Speaker 21: conversation with your loved one, encourage them to see a
- 40:30Speaker 21: doctor or offer to go with them. Early detection of
- 40:32Speaker 21: Alzheimer's can give your family time to explore support services,
- 40:35Speaker 21: make a plan for the future, and access available treatments.
- 40:38Speaker 21: The Alzheimer's Association provides care, support and research to help
- 40:42Speaker 21: you take control of the situation with your family and
- 40:45Speaker 21: manage the disease together. If you or your family are
- 40:47Speaker 21: noticing changes, it could be Alzheimer's. Talk about seeing a

- 41:28Speaker 22: even Jenny, welcome back to this What shock shun?
- 41:32Speaker 1: This what shock? Wayne Candy, Good morning to you. We've
- 41:35Speaker 1: reached a championship weekend in college uh sec A c
- 41:42Speaker 1: C big twelve of them. They're gonna play at some
- 41:45Speaker 1: point here in Atlanta. It's at four o'clock a repeat
- 41:50Speaker 1: Georgia Texas. It's hard to beat the team twice, so
- 41:53Speaker 1: the Bulldog's gonna have a lot of work to do
- 41:56Speaker 1: uh in that game, because now Texas understands how fast
- 42:01Speaker 1: the Georgia defense really is, so it'ld be a great
- 42:03Speaker 1: game at four o'clock down at the Bens and we
- 42:07Speaker 1: were talking about Tom Brady his comments about Trevor Lawrence
- 42:12Speaker 1: says quarterbacks have to protect themselves a little more. And
- 42:16Speaker 1: I think what from what I was reading and Tom
- 42:19Speaker 1: was saying and then hearing in the little interview, he
- 42:21Speaker 1: was just basically, yeah, leave the pocket, get what you
- 42:25Speaker 1: can get. But once you start seeing other teams jerseys
- 42:29Speaker 1: get on down like you should have been down so
- 42:31Speaker 1: much further than when you decided a lot of quarterbacks, we.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Do see a lot of quarterbacks almost slide up.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Under the fense. Right now, I was going to try
- 42:43Speaker 1: trying to trying to draw the flash.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Something that.
- 42:48Speaker 7: I've noticed is with the advent of things like backup cameras,
- 42:52Speaker 7: people don't even look over their shoulder anymore when backing up.
- 42:56Speaker 7: Do you think a lot of these quarterbacks just think
- 42:59Speaker 7: we got that defense mechanism built into this model. I
- 43:02Speaker 7: don't have to get down super quick. All I gotta
- 43:04Speaker 7: do is look like I'm going down and they're going
- 43:06Speaker 7: to back off. This guy didn't look like he cared
- 43:09Speaker 7: about the fact that Trevor Lawrence was going down, because
- 43:13Speaker 7: maybe he was.
- 43:13Speaker 1: About to get faked out to me.
- 43:15Speaker 6: In the old NFL, like before all these changes, you
- 43:20Speaker 6: as a quarterback, you got down when you knew that
- 43:22Speaker 6: certain lineman or deep linebacker, devisive end was about to
- 43:26Speaker 6: hit you.
- 43:26Speaker 2: You would get down.
- 43:28Speaker 6: Nowadays, like you said, these guys are taking the line.
- 43:31Speaker 6: They're they're they're pushing the envelope, and you know they're runners.
- 43:35Speaker 6: But I think the rule needs to be reversed back
- 43:38Speaker 6: because if you if you're running and you start to run,
- 43:40Speaker 6: you take off, we don't know what you're gonna do.
- 43:43Speaker 7: And I remember an era where guys would take off
- 43:46Speaker 7: and start running Jim McMahon, other quarterbacks like that, a
- 43:52Speaker 7: Terry Bradshaw, and you'd get in front of.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Them and they see what you was made. Though they
- 43:56Speaker 2: would take you.
- 43:56Speaker 7: They wouldn't doing no slide and they was trying to
- 43:58Speaker 7: get the extra two or three yards. And these quarterbacks
- 44:01Speaker 7: seem like they're stuck in the middle of Am I
- 44:05Speaker 7: a runner? Am I a physical player? Or do I
- 44:08Speaker 7: want to get this easy extra five or ten or fifteen?
- 44:12Speaker 1: I think they need to get rid of the slide
- 44:13Speaker 1: and just go with the Church finger with just run
- 44:18Speaker 1: until you think you then just raise your hand raise.
- 44:21Speaker 1: I've always and I know that's an extreme to it,
- 44:25Speaker 1: but I have always felt like it needed to be
- 44:30Speaker 1: a kneel down. Sliding is always going to put you,
- 44:35Speaker 1: even when the guy is not trying to with any intent.
- 44:41Speaker 1: But as you're moving and then you slide, you're vulnerable.
- 44:45Speaker 1: You open yourself up to that. Even if this guy
- 44:49Speaker 1: kind of skims over you, his knee hits you and
- 44:53Speaker 1: knocks your head back on the turf and he's trying it.
- 44:56Speaker 5: Needs to be.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm saying, trying to a fall and help himself.
- 45:02Speaker 1: You're still in such an open I'm running, I do this.
- 45:06Speaker 1: I'm like, I might as well be in a boxing
- 45:09Speaker 1: ring and drop my hands.
- 45:11Speaker 2: That's what he's telling.
- 45:12Speaker 3: As far as like like quarterbacks pushing that line of
- 45:16Speaker 3: when they actually slide, Like, isn't it meant to be?
- 45:19Speaker 3: Like if you're in open space and someone's within five
- 45:23Speaker 3: yards of you, yeah you should slide, but some are
- 45:27Speaker 3: cutting it close like it.
- 45:29Speaker 1: And I think you should be able to go ahead
- 45:31Speaker 1: and hit them because I think you're safer diving forward
- 45:34Speaker 1: because it might be like slide.
- 45:36Speaker 3: If using using the church figure, someone's about to raise
- 45:39Speaker 3: their head and then they get hit, and is that
- 45:41Speaker 3: it's just like a cat on aunt or.
- 45:47Speaker 2: And then all of a sudden, you see the man
- 45:49Speaker 2: he does like that. What's so if I drop it
- 45:50Speaker 2: down and outside I take it down, I'm gonna take off.
- 45:53Speaker 7: Then that's what I was about to say, part of
- 45:58Speaker 7: the responsibility. And some of these hits, in my opinion,
- 46:02Speaker 7: fall on a quarterback because they're not honoring the agreement
- 46:07Speaker 7: that the Jams agreement, right John's agreement. When I go
- 46:11Speaker 7: to slide, you back off. Now you've been backing off,
- 46:15Speaker 7: and I've been fake slide. That's what got us here,
- 46:19Speaker 7: is your fake slid.
- 46:21Speaker 6: Defensive players are getting a lot of defensive players who
- 46:23Speaker 6: are getting injured with this because they're trying to pull
- 46:26Speaker 6: up and they're going so hard and it's hard to
- 46:30Speaker 6: pull up when you're going at that rate of speed.
- 46:33Speaker 6: And then the quarterback all of a sudden the side,
- 46:35Speaker 6: I'm a slide or I'm not gonna slide.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Last weekend, flag planning became a huge conversation in college
- 46:42Speaker 1: at that level, as you see teams celebrate at the end,
- 46:47Speaker 1: none bigger than the Michigan Ohio State and it seem
- 46:51Speaker 1: to spark four or five colleges throughout the day to
- 46:57Speaker 1: start doing fights, and like that, first of all, seems
- 47:02Speaker 1: like if y'allful society forgot you removed athletes of learning
- 47:09Speaker 1: to deal with losing. You created the participation trophy. You
- 47:17Speaker 1: removed when they're six, eight, ten, twelve to start dealing
- 47:22Speaker 1: with that regardless of effort. Bad game or good game.
- 47:28Speaker 1: The game where you struck twelve people out, the game
- 47:34Speaker 1: that you scored two touchdowns and you still lost. He
- 47:40Speaker 1: just as much as you threw two interceptions and you lost.
- 47:43Speaker 1: I play odd, though, man, you learn how to deal
- 47:47Speaker 1: with Noah, don't lose it. It's the same thing that
- 47:50Speaker 1: it seemed to affect. I'm still always baffled of how
- 47:54Speaker 1: is every play a celebration? Is the second player of
- 48:00Speaker 1: the game, you catch and get the first down, and
- 48:03Speaker 1: you need to take the ball and drop it down
- 48:06Speaker 1: and point We've been on the field forty six seconds
- 48:13Speaker 1: and then by the end of the game you lost
- 48:15Speaker 1: fifty two to seven, and everybody did that play, dude
- 48:18Speaker 1: for the game that made it a.
- 48:21Speaker 18: Game.
- 48:22Speaker 2: It's still too you.
- 48:23Speaker 7: From a family like mine, My grandmama gonna roast you
- 48:26Speaker 7: the whole week about that out there doing all that
- 48:29Speaker 7: dropping and pointing and.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Fifty sixth to seven, you know you just it was unnecessary.
- 48:37Speaker 1: We're talking on the other side of the break about
- 48:39Speaker 1: the flag planning and where you think the NCAA will
- 48:42Speaker 1: go with that. More the Sports Shock Show right after this.
- 48:48Speaker 2: About John bow Away.
- 49:04Speaker 9: More of The Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gandia is

- 49:09Speaker 23: Hurting a game, we tough it out, feel exhausted, we

- 49:16Speaker 2: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps.
- 49:19Speaker 23: But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress
- 49:22Speaker 23: gets to us and we need to talk to someone
- 49:24Speaker 23: about what we're really going through. So we're going to
- 49:27Speaker 23: reach out because sometimes mental health is not a one

- 51:11Speaker 8: If I want to perform, And the back end just
- 51:13Speaker 8: came in and focla.
- 51:15Speaker 1: Hey, y'all look back to the sports Shock showing. I'm
- 51:20Speaker 1: the Sports Shock winging Gandy. Good morning. We were talking
- 51:22Speaker 1: about flag pen lanting. H It caused a couple of
- 51:26Speaker 1: fights last week.
- 51:28Speaker 5: Uh and uh.
- 51:29Speaker 1: I got a lot of questions people ask me. Oh,
- 51:32Speaker 1: I and my senior year went and grabbed the flag.
- 51:36Speaker 1: We beat Alabama, We went undefeated, we were on probation.
- 51:39Speaker 1: It basically was my last year, my last game. It
- 51:45Speaker 1: was in Auburn. Beating Alabama is already a big deal
- 51:52Speaker 1: when you're an Auburn player. Beating them in Auburn for
- 51:55Speaker 1: the second time and beating them on a perfect season
- 51:59Speaker 1: in dramatic fact. And I ran around the stadium with
- 52:01Speaker 1: the big flag, which is very tiring because the wind
- 52:05Speaker 1: catch that big old flag and it's some work. But
- 52:09Speaker 1: in incidents, and we've seen throughout different years, and I've
- 52:13Speaker 1: told people always it's like to running to the Dallas Star.
- 52:18Speaker 1: It's more of where you went to plant the flag
- 52:20Speaker 1: than it is the flag itself. Same action in the
- 52:25Speaker 1: end zone. No fights, but people feel like you are
- 52:28Speaker 1: trying to show them up when you go to the
- 52:32Speaker 1: center of the field. It's their logo is their feel,
- 52:36Speaker 1: and I think that was the biggest part nobody talked about.
- 52:38Speaker 1: You could duck the flag, stuck it anywhere else on
- 52:40Speaker 1: the field and nothing would have happened. Most people wouldn't
- 52:43Speaker 1: even notice that you did it, which is why you
- 52:46Speaker 1: did it in center field on the logo because you
- 52:50Speaker 1: get the most o's in that manner. Now, are you
- 52:54Speaker 1: going to expect some people to fight? Sure, because you
- 52:56Speaker 1: got to realize now it's twenty twenty eight guys out
- 53:00Speaker 1: there that they are coming back. This is it for them,
- 53:04Speaker 1: their seniors. You know, they've been on the bench for
- 53:07Speaker 1: four years. They ain't got nothing to lose. So unless
- 53:10Speaker 1: the police come with some handcuff, they can get them
- 53:13Speaker 1: free fighting and about saying we now been in the
- 53:19Speaker 1: fight trying to make that and I'm like, three hundred
- 53:24Speaker 1: pound men fighting how much you think you little.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Ain't gonna Then they spray back.
- 53:31Speaker 7: You're been to put out your flash like and right down,
- 53:35Speaker 7: right down numbers on your pad.
- 53:37Speaker 1: You ain't.
- 53:38Speaker 7: You ain't got no crowd control yet, sir. You need
- 53:42Speaker 7: to sit down your best saying staff. They don't even
- 53:47Speaker 7: say police.
- 53:49Speaker 1: They came. Hold on, man, there's always too many.
- 53:53Speaker 6: There's too many You remember when Northern Illinois started getting
- 53:57Speaker 6: beat Florida State early in the year, there was a
- 54:00Speaker 6: icture of them planning the flag on Florida State's logo.
- 54:05Speaker 1: There was no fight.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Florida State didn't say nothing.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Florida State Illinois.
- 54:10Speaker 2: Who remember talking about I can't even remember Florida State playing.
- 54:16Speaker 5: No, I don't remember that game.
- 54:17Speaker 6: Well, it was a It was a game that Florida
- 54:19Speaker 6: State lost to a Division two pon I'm gonna find it,
- 54:23Speaker 6: and they planted the flag and Florida State didn't say
- 54:26Speaker 6: anything because of some Florida flanns had posted and said, hey,
- 54:31Speaker 6: you guys, don't say nothing about these.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Well that wasn't an arrival.
- 54:34Speaker 2: Oh so it's a difference. What I'm sure what I'm
- 54:37Speaker 2: saying anybody we were already about.
- 54:42Speaker 6: But if anybody planned the flag at your feet, I mean,
- 54:44Speaker 6: regardless of you, Robert, you disrespected my well, regardless of that.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Let me ask you this, when you are very bro
- 54:51Speaker 1: I don't know. I always tell you, I don't know
- 54:53Speaker 1: if you are just like you tried to lead us
- 54:56Speaker 1: into different points of view. It's okay to give your
- 54:59Speaker 1: point of view, but it is different even for you
- 55:04Speaker 1: you won't give mischief. You won't give duke players compliments
- 55:12Speaker 1: even once they left because you're a North Carolina guy.
- 55:21Speaker 1: But if I called somebody that went to North Carolina
- 55:23Speaker 1: State or some other colleges, you you quit to maybe
- 55:26Speaker 1: say some good positive stuff. But the one school I
- 55:29Speaker 1: know that a player came from unless he saved your
- 55:34Speaker 1: family from a burning fire. So when you say things like.
- 55:39Speaker 7: He won't even shout it out them dude happened to
- 55:42Speaker 7: be walking by and took credit for saving my family.
- 55:46Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I'm trying to rivalries. Come on,
- 55:52Speaker 1: they tell me it ain't different. How is it?
- 55:55Speaker 2: I didn't say what different.
- 55:56Speaker 6: I'm just saying, if anybody plant the flag, or if
- 55:58Speaker 6: a team beat you on your basketball court and they
- 56:00Speaker 6: decide to have their little huddle at your center court
- 56:03Speaker 6: claiming victory after they beat you.
- 56:06Speaker 7: I mean, I'm just saying, Well, let me ask a
- 56:08Speaker 7: question that a hope makes more sense than what he's saying.
- 56:14Speaker 7: In this situation, there was a big brawl, police got
- 56:17Speaker 7: called pepper spray. Who do they say is responsible for that?
- 56:22Speaker 7: Is if the person from the program that took the
- 56:26Speaker 7: flag out to the logo because without that action, none
- 56:31Speaker 7: of the resulting actions would have occurred.
- 56:33Speaker 1: So if they're going to find and penalize people, well
- 56:36Speaker 1: they find both schools one hundred thousand dollars, right, and
- 56:41Speaker 1: but the individual player does not get any kind of
- 56:44Speaker 1: fine or I'm not even in the contract. You don't
- 56:48Speaker 1: really have any legal course against a college person. Wow,
- 56:52Speaker 1: we're done in the contract. That might change as we
- 56:55Speaker 1: go forward and we keep ill and they want to
- 56:58Speaker 1: be employees. But as I said, if I'm a senior
- 57:02Speaker 1: and I wanted to do something school, you're gonna put
- 57:07Speaker 1: me out of school exactly, so you know. So I
- 57:11Speaker 1: don't know. It's just a thing of different guys gonna
- 57:14Speaker 1: do different things. It was Rivory Week, Michigan, Stunt Ohio,
- 57:19Speaker 1: stay with the victory, the flag planning, I just never
- 57:23Speaker 1: heard anybody talk about. It was more of where you
- 57:26Speaker 1: went to plant the faac, which is in the middle.
- 57:29Speaker 1: And I believe in any of those rivory games, it's
- 57:32Speaker 1: just one word away from a fight.
- 57:37Speaker 2: They had twelve.
- 57:38Speaker 6: They had twelve fights. I mean every ribbery game actually
- 57:42Speaker 6: had a fighting.
- 57:43Speaker 1: And if you don't have a if you've let the
- 57:46Speaker 1: sensible people remove your rival week, go get it back.
- 57:53Speaker 1: I meant to tell you that, but we weren't here Monday.
- 57:55Speaker 1: That was how I was starting to show. I was
- 57:57Speaker 1: going to start the show. If you used to have Oklahoma,
- 58:03Speaker 1: go find Oklahoma State or Nebraska and in the season,
- 58:09Speaker 1: because a lot of places they've changed it. But they

- 58:15Speaker 1: the end of the season where it created the Michigan
- 58:18Speaker 1: Michigan State the Auburn go get that back. Some traditions
- 58:24Speaker 1: were not meant to be removed. They were not in
- 58:30Speaker 1: that game, regardless of records, typically becomes one of the
- 58:34Speaker 1: better games of the whole season. Because of that, We'll
- 58:38Speaker 1: be back with more than sports Shock Show. Right after this, yu.

- 59:02Speaker 2: Next hear that.
- 59:07Speaker 26: That's the sound of your life, perfectly imperfect, beating in
- 59:14Speaker 26: rhythm to the world you've created. But every time you
- 59:19Speaker 26: drive after drinking, music gets drowned out. Your life sounds
- 59:26Speaker 26: pretty great. Don't let a buzz ruin it. Buzz driving
- 59:29Speaker 26: is drunk driving. Don't drive buzzed. A message from nits
- 59:32Speaker 26: in the AD Council.
- 59:33Speaker 16: My simple solution to the problem was remove people from
- 59:38Speaker 16: the scene and help them feel safer.
- 59:40Speaker 27: In response to attacks against Asian Americans, Maddie Park raised
- 59:44Speaker 27: over two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to donate cam
- 59:47Speaker 27: rights to the Asian community.
- 59:48Speaker 2: There is so much more work to be done.

- 1:00:03Speaker 2: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 1:00:06Speaker 10: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:00:09Speaker 10: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:00:13Speaker 10: have life insurance.
- 1:00:14Speaker 20: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:00:16Speaker 20: just getting started with our family and thought, we live
- 1:00:18Speaker 20: forever life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:00:24Speaker 20: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:00:26Speaker 20: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:00:28Speaker 20: survive without me. That's when I'm in an appointment with
- 1:00:30Speaker 20: the insurance informant.
- 1:00:31Speaker 10: Information gives you power and life insurance gives your family
- 1:00:34Speaker 10: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:00:37Speaker 20: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:00:39Speaker 20: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:00:41Speaker 10: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:00:43Speaker 10: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:00:46Speaker 10: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:00:48Speaker 10: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:00:51Speaker 10: two options, benefits or bills.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: Which legacy will you leave behind? Log on today, benefits
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: or bills?
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Dot Com?
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: That's benefits or bills dot Com?
- 1:01:06Speaker 28: Enough is enough, I don't have any shall share your shock.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: And we hold the world bransom for.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: Excuse me while I whip this out.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: Broadcasting live and Atlanta, Georgia. This this is the Sports
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: Shock Ship with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:01:26Speaker 28: You may.
- 1:01:30Speaker 10: Show comes a far, comes it comes along?
- 1:01:36Speaker 18: Is it just.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: I'm a doing? Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way you.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Made Vegan Welcome back to this sword Stock show. I'm
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: the Sportshock Wing Candy. Good morning to you. If you
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: missed any of that first hour, you can go to
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Apple Podcast, Spotify, Amazon Podcast, Audible, deser iHeartRadio and hear
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: the replay we talked about Thursday night football. Great game
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: for you on a short week with the Packers at
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: ninety three taking on the Lions at eleven and one.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: The toughest division this year, and I like how you know,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: each division seems to be it rotates, and this year
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: it seems the toughest division when you talk about Green
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Bay Detroit and the addition of the Vikings, who are
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: about ten and two, that's who the Falcons have. Kirk
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Cousins going back home. I expect Kirk to try to
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: bounce back from a tough game that he had last
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: And as I was watching the game, I went to
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: the game, I always tell people, you know who you
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: throw to when your receivers can't get open the other team,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: and you won't know what. Sometimes a lot of people
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: don't really start a lot of times you're not evaluating
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: anyone but the quarterback. And as I watched the game,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Falcon receivers don't get open. They don't get a lot
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: of separation. If you watch the game, most of their
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: catches always somebody standing there with them. They got to
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: make tough catches because they don't get no separation. Now
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: it could be the scheme where it's a little vanilla.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: But Kurt had a bad game. He was trying to
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: throw in some tight windows, and it was it was
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: equal as much as it was him on some bad plays.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: It was a lot of receivers. I still somebody, you know,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: if you if you see Kyle Pitts on the field,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: send me a picture.
- 1:03:41Speaker 7: Because I don't ever see him open to nothing. I mean,
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: he's gotta be a current picture. Can't be nothing like
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: it just his face. Oh, we need a full body shot,
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: Kenny said.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: One of our listeners asked a.
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: Question our little listener, uncle Charlie. He wanted to know,
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: could Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, or any of those very
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: physical defensive players of their caliber play in the NFL today.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: Yes, I don't know why they couldn't. Think it'd be
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: more difficult with all of that sliding and well, their
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: training wouldn't be have been the same, so we don't.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: We might not know them to be the same person.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: See what a lot of times people try to do,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: they try to prove a case or you know, deny
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: a case because they're talking about taking the person. But
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: that person's training would have been something different then, so
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: for Lawrence Taylor to be who Lawrence Taylor was. He
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: was trained in a different era. So if he had
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: been trained in the participation Trophy era instead, he wouldn't
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: have been, you know, either been Michael Parsons.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Oh, you didn't have to go all the way back
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: to mic.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: No, Michael Parsons who it was a great, terrific maybe
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: the one, you know, top two or three defensive players
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: in the league. It's just not nasty plays because you
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: was taught to play nasty in the seventies, in the eighties.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: It wasn't you know, it was trying. It was a
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: it was an intimidation. You try to use intimidation as
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: a weapon. Hitting was an idea of intimidation. Little you know, petty,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: try to tap you in the in the privates, right
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: on the slide, any little thing to try to get
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: you offensive line. And you know on certain plays we
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: know were you wouldn't you know it might be a screen.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Now just go cut you for no reason. Now they've
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: cut that out. You have a certain little area that
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: you can even cut in now. So you know, yeah,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: those guys were great enough players. You could send a
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: modern day player back to those days. But you gotta
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: remember they would have been trained to be different. You
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: can't just send them back as they and that's what
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: people want to. They want to They want to take
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: running Lot from eighty seven and bring him to twenty
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: twenty four as that running lot right time travel.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: Smash, roddy lot smash like now that we don't we
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: speak full sentences now righting?
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Well, Aaron Rodgers play next year? A big question that
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: will loom. It'll be interesting to see what the Jets
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: do here from this point on? Do they move on?
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Is there someone on the sideline that even wants some
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: training for the Jets. I think that Aaron Rodgers is
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: a keep. Tom Brady had help. I know you do
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: not see this, but when Tom Brady went to the
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Tampa Bay Bucks, the Tampa Bay Bucks had a good team,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Yes they did. And when Kade Manning went to Denver,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: he had a good team and they just needed that.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Component one piecee piece.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: The Jets got Aaron Rodgers, as though he was supposed
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: to be four things.
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: No, when they got it, they had a good team exactly,
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: they had a good team. And then right, so, but
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: first game, about fourteen seconds in after somebody is scored
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: it like the second player the game, right after somebody
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: scored the first down and dropped the ball and pointed.
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: He came in and blew out his achilles, and then
- 1:07:33Speaker 7: the team that he was supposed to try to lead
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: was no longer there the next time. I think from
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: what I'm reading with Bill Belichick, he is saying those
- 1:07:42Speaker 7: two or three teams that just need that, just need that.
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: A team like a San Francisco if they were healthy,
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: that have rocked party if somebody wasn't there and they
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: just needed the facilitator, the brain of the person.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: That's where he could fit in, not a team that
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: needs him to really turn back the hands of time.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: He's forty one. You got to use the forty one
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: year old version. And I think that's what to me
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: when I was reading with Bill Belichick, if you could,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: if you had a team like that, I don't I
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: don't know everybody's line up to say where that would be.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: But a more mature team where they just need somebody
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: to play quarterback and not be a superhero. Baltimore still
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: needs Lamar Jackson to be a superhero for them to win,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: and he's.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: Got to be Batman.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: They need him and their henry to be superheroes win. Well,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: those kind of situations I'm talking about where they just
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: need someone to play quarterback.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: The green just to come in everything. Not that they
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: have to you, not that they have to carry the team.
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: They don't have to like win the game for them,
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: but you have, like you know, everyone else around.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: The you know, similar to what Russell Wilson has gone to.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: He went to a team that just needed him to
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: play quarterback. We don't really need super plays in Pittsburgh.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: First of all, we don't only really need about seventeen points.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: So that's a great thing to know as a quarterback
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: that I got a defense that might shut you out today.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: That's that's a great confidence booster. And then everybody in
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Pittsburgh is counting.
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: On to win.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: And I can't seem to get other people to listen
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: to me. Command you big Kenny, bad producer. The specialists
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: about Pittsburgh only lies in that they actually want every
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: position to win. Well, isn't that amazing a football team?
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Once theres d line to win the line the win.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Think about Pittsburgh. That's how they play. It's not a
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: one man band. And that's what Aaron Rodgers he needs
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: a team where it's not just him on the saxophone.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: And I don't know they already got a drummer. I
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: got somebody on the trumpet, Yeah, Trump Wilson show on
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: the base. He on that base thing. You know, it's
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: shadow thumping when you hear shadow, you you know shadow
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: when you hear shadow.
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: But sometimes when I watch Aaron Rodgers, it seems like
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: not only is he physically for a professional athlete older
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: than the average professional athlete, he seems like he's dealing
- 1:10:52Speaker 7: with some of that confronting father time stuff in real
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: time on the sidelines, like man, you know what, these
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: young dudes just seem strong, like they really be hitting hard.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Like you're like, man, when I used to be able
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: to get that extra three y'all.
- 1:11:09Speaker 7: And and I don't know if he's going through his
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: personal life stuff or that professional weight is just on
- 1:11:16Speaker 7: his shoulders, But a lot of time he just seem
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: if you gave that that disconnected, what was my man
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: from the from the Bears that that used to always
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: look like he was somewhere else Cutler, Cutler, I've seen
- 1:11:30Speaker 7: Aaron Rodgers on the sidelines. Has j Cutler eyes.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Or Aaron Rodgers. I don't know a rod never knew
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: his training.
- 1:11:38Speaker 5: He did.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: He does look like a guy that never changed his
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: physical training. I think that's the advantage that someone like
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: you see Lebron in his his years, you see Tom Brady,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: you see different guys a little longer in the two
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: look like they even Russell Wilson. They went and changed it.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Stopped sleeping on the show man stand up was just
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: sleep stand up. You don't fell asleep all day somebody
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: you just knowing you were doing. No move from in
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: front of the camera. Take your head, I says, off,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: refresh yourself, take your hair, set off. He fell just
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: step away over here for about five minutes. We'll get
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: you when the birthday starts. Step away from the cam.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: He's not on camera anymore.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: We got to run that back, you miss.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Just move on totally over there. There you go. You
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: fell asleep on a little further As we go to break,

- 1:26:12Speaker 1: Welcome back to the sport Jack Show. I'm the sport
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: I know. Uncle Charlie getting down right now. Just pulled
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: the cardboard out. He's spending, he's spending, going up on
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: his head. He's coming up about it. I never knew
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: the moves and break dancing.
- 1:26:25Speaker 28: They just just I told you.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: I stopped and started rapping, Greg, Greg, you just don't
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: know how you dropped that player at your own wrist.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Back in eighty four, everybody to dance floor. He was
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: adding flashban and I couldn't even dance. I wasn't even
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: I wasn't a dancer, but I still playing. You had
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: to at least get out there.
- 1:26:47Speaker 7: And learn one or two moves because there wasn't no
- 1:26:49Speaker 7: play for dudes that didn't dance back in the day.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: It went for like thirteen minutes. Yeah, you have to
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: do someone like that was nine minutes. Oh okay, see
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: there was like a thirteen minute worst. Yeah, yeah that
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: was That was the radio edit. That's what they call it.
- 1:27:05Speaker 7: They played it on the radio, the nine minute, but
- 1:27:07Speaker 7: it's unually about thirteen fourteen minutes.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: As I said, brain rot. I don't know how these
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: words become words of the year, but that's what Oxford
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: Dictionary is claiming. Have y'all heard anyone use brain rot?
- 1:27:23Speaker 7: No, which makes me want to ask you, do you
- 1:27:25Speaker 7: think that some of these words can be purchased to
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: go on the list?
- 1:27:31Speaker 18: No?
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: No, no, no, no.
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: Listen to what I'm saying.
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: Now, we've seen other forms of quantification be manipulated. That's cap.
- 1:27:38Speaker 7: That's cap, because that ought to be I've heard of CAP.
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: I know what that means, but I've never heard brain rock.
- 1:27:45Speaker 7: How did you go to the top? Brain rock? Who's
- 1:27:48Speaker 7: paying off somebody behind the scene? Brain rock never gets
- 1:27:51Speaker 7: used in my house. Yes, And what I'm saying is,
- 1:27:53Speaker 7: you know, I'm around children from one through twenty one,
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: so I get all of that little lingo and I've
- 1:28:06Speaker 7: never heard brain rot.
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: Me eeda, I've never used it this year, you know,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: you say things like, oh, social media is gonna make
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: you brain ride or something, but I haven't said that
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: in twenty twenty four, right, it is the O word
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: of the year. Speaking of social media, Australia has banned
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: social media for sixteen and under. Ye can y'all see
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: that vibrating over to the US at any point? Sixteen
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: and under a prominent society to decide.
- 1:28:42Speaker 7: And I think that's interesting because in American society we
- 1:28:45Speaker 7: view social media as designed for children sixteen and under.
- 1:28:51Speaker 7: After sixteen, after twenty twenty one, people start, you know,
- 1:28:55Speaker 7: you do social media that kind of thing, like it's
- 1:28:58Speaker 7: only meant for a younger generation, is how it's portrayed
- 1:29:01Speaker 7: here in the United States. So to eliminate them completely
- 1:29:04Speaker 7: from using it is more than significant. They're the driving
- 1:29:10Speaker 7: demographic here in the United States. All of the advertising
- 1:29:13Speaker 7: dollars come as a result of that group.
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: And how does that work? They just like, how do
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: you implement a band like that? Well, you have when
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: you sign up to.
- 1:29:29Speaker 7: Social media sites, when you get on these apps, they
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: have a age verification where you tell them how old
- 1:29:35Speaker 7: you are. When were you born January third, nineteen oh two,
- 1:29:42Speaker 7: and it might say too far back, okay, so January third,
- 1:29:49Speaker 7: nineteen twenty one.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: You're too young.
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: Okay, So I just go to win. It will accept
- 1:29:55Speaker 7: my birthday and I log in. There's very little a
- 1:30:00Speaker 7: ability to validate or verify that.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: But it does become an issue once something else might
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: happen in your life. Yes, and then we find out
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: yes that along. But now that you did a lot
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: of what they do now you're lying on a federal document. Well,
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: see what they do now.
- 1:30:17Speaker 7: Is these apps ask for permission to access information on
- 1:30:20Speaker 7: your phone so they can verify your birthday with whatever
- 1:30:24Speaker 7: stored in your and if it doesn't match up, they
- 1:30:28Speaker 7: it flags and you get kicked out. So they are
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: trying to stop it because of the liability. People are
- 1:30:34Speaker 7: blaming social media for things that are happening in their
- 1:30:37Speaker 7: home and they're trying to eliminate.
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: Should this be something the US picks up that producer,
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: Yes they should, because.
- 1:30:46Speaker 6: Just the fact that these kids Instagram, for example, they
- 1:30:51Speaker 6: have something else differently that the kids even get on younger.
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: It's called Fenstagram.
- 1:30:56Speaker 6: It's where they could be more even a little bit
- 1:30:59Speaker 6: more or provocative, and they try to keep it from
- 1:31:03Speaker 6: the adults.
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: So there has to be some kind of way that
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: they have to monitor it. And I'm with Kenny.
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: You can put in your age unless they got some
- 1:31:12Speaker 6: kind of way they can actually go in and verify
- 1:31:15Speaker 6: the age correctly, then you know it's no way to
- 1:31:18Speaker 6: stop it.
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: Comention No, it's I think it's pretty much impossible. No, no, no, no,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: not whether it's impopula mode. Should we put it in place?
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: You can try?
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: It's a yes, no not can they Should we adopt
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: the law?
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: No?
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: Okay, big Kenny. No, And I would go with bad producer. Yes,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: I'm not. I don't believe social media has done anything
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: to improve our society at all.
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: Well and see dumb it dumbed it down more.
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: I don't see one thing when I talk to anyone
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: that social media has actually help. Then it has destroyed
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: And I would say, I would say, and to that,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: I would say, I would question any other forms of
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: entertainment that have moved our society forward. I can't point
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: to one thing rap has done to make the world
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: a better place.
- 1:32:26Speaker 5: I can't think of one thing.
- 1:32:28Speaker 7: I can't think of one thing that Rock and roll
- 1:32:31Speaker 7: has done to make the world go Kumbai, y'all. You know,
- 1:32:34Speaker 7: we've had our moments, just like social media may have had.
- 1:32:38Speaker 7: But ultimately, for me, I believe that the best decisions
- 1:32:42Speaker 7: are made by consenting money.
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: But you didn't ask me about rap, because I would
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: have said the same thing about about rap rap, and
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: I said the same thing about Rock and Rolling. You're
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: acting like I'm like, okay for rap.
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: No, I'm just saying I would.
- 1:32:59Speaker 7: I'm all for free speech, and each person has free
- 1:33:04Speaker 7: will to do what it is they think.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: And I'm that the sensibilities that I learned from one
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: to sixteen or more of the guarding principles that saved
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: me from sixteen to now, right, and those were more
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: allowed to develop because they were not so toxic the
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: influences in that developmental stage. Okay, I wasn't worried about
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: what somebody in Tulsa was gonna talk about me, right,
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: I was just worried about who in Haines City for
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: you there, And that's the thing about onion. But now
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: I'm twelve, I'm trying to do some project. I get
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: more comments from people I know, and that stuff I'm
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: just giving you an example. No, I completely understand.
- 1:33:50Speaker 6: That, and that's why I was saying that to the
- 1:33:53Speaker 6: point where you got the parents. They tell you, my
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: parents to monitor it, and you being a parent, trying
- 1:33:57Speaker 6: to monitor it, but then they come up the older.
- 1:34:02Speaker 6: But I also would like to band porn from in that,
- 1:34:09Speaker 6: so social media goes right along with it. It's lots
- 1:34:12Speaker 6: of things that I don't think need to be absorbed.
- 1:34:15Speaker 6: I think the mind and the things that we can
- 1:34:18Speaker 6: absorb I don't think.
- 1:34:21Speaker 7: Shouldn't be And what I'm saying, and what I'm saying
- 1:34:25Speaker 7: is for every one of those things, and you say
- 1:34:28Speaker 7: you don't think should be absorbed, I would put you
- 1:34:31Speaker 7: up as an example. Those things exist, they are free
- 1:34:34Speaker 7: to access, and you don't have a desire nor any
- 1:34:38Speaker 7: point of reference for ever having used any of them.
- 1:34:41Speaker 7: But you're not alone. But I only know how to
- 1:34:43Speaker 7: not absorb them because you had a point of reference
- 1:34:47Speaker 7: for never absorbing. It was never normalized for you. Okay, okay.
- 1:34:53Speaker 7: And it's like a cell phone. I don't think that
- 1:34:56Speaker 7: really a ten eleven year old needs a cell phone?
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: Who you call?
- 1:35:01Speaker 5: Right?
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: Who is the level? Who is a sixth grader?
- 1:35:05Speaker 4: Call?
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: And then they say they give them the phones to
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: have the game.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Excuse me, No, that's what is that call about. I'm saying,
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: because you ain't called me all day other than me
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: come placating. What other than me placating something that you
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: want right now? And like you can't wait two more
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: hours until school is out? Figure it out of my head? Hurting, Okay,
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: lay down in the in the uh, I'll get off
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: work afore I'll come by and pick you up. Not
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: none of this instant. Let me run some aspirin. What
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: is that actually teaching you? I'd rather you go still
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: to Aspiring, but figure something out. That's what I did,
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: other than always thinking that I'm just a phone call away,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: like deductive reasoning right right, And I'm not committing I'm
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: not really saying the crime, but I'm just saying, but
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: figure some out. Find the one teacher that is okay
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: at the school giving a kid to Aspiring. It's one
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: of them and.
- 1:36:07Speaker 7: One And I'm saying, hangover. And if you ask out people,
- 1:36:11Speaker 7: if you ask ing out people, somebody be like, I
- 1:36:13Speaker 7: ain't got no askering. You want a good power, they
- 1:36:16Speaker 7: got a good I ain't got no amp.
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: What else do we have here before we go to break?
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: Tyrod Taylor? Where is he at now? The Giants? I
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: know he's a backup somewhere with the Jets. Had to
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: get a court order to put his ex girlfriend, Drea
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: Michelle out, and we've talked about, uh, the whole swatter's rights. Yes, yes,
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: and that's what we're talking about on the other side
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: of break. That's what it sounded like when I read
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: the story. It was more of that, like.
- 1:36:47Speaker 2: Is that the same some person?
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: Once a person dwells in your home so long, you
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: can't just be like, get out right. So the best
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: way is the old way. Never let me in, don't
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: let him in. And if you do let them in,
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: don't let them get mail, don't let me use your
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: things like that that you have to do right, So
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: they take the mail and erase date idea. We'll be
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: back more to sports stock show.
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: Right after this.
- 1:37:14Speaker 8: I go straight out the mood I ain't been in

- 1:40:08Speaker 33: Between all lock on, say you can see a sports chaint.
- 1:40:23Speaker 33: I'll sing even.
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: Very Jenny, welcome back to this boy shock show. I'm
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: the sportshock wing guarantee. The LPGA usg A update their
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: gender policy for the twenty twenty five season, which are
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: two real aggressive moves they basically have in Layman's term,
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: uh install. The rule the OLDPGA is now that you
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: have to have been assigned female at birth or have
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: gone through before you go through male puberty, which is
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: typically the ages of eight nine. Right in there at
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: about fourteen fifteen, you have to have declared to be
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: a female before then to be on the LGPA tour.
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: That is how they have updated their gender policy that
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: will take effect next season.
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: Because they had a player that was actually playing. I'm saying,
- 1:41:54Speaker 2: but the word ladies in the thing didn't help people.
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: Now well, with the New World and the controversy surrounding
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: transgender golfer Halee Davidson, who was on tour this year,
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: the way the l p g A and the U
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: s g A are basically saying, if you were not
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: assigned female at birth or have the clar to be
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: female before puberty, so you wake up, you went through puberty.
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: Now you're saying you are or female, then you can't
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: qualify very clear and precise when you say it like
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: it's a lot of I'm saying now now to me.
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: To me, it sounds like be pretty hard to get
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: around this.
- 1:43:00Speaker 6: People that are working on us getting their kids a
- 1:43:03Speaker 6: sign they're picking them. I thought that there is a
- 1:43:06Speaker 6: rule out there they allowing them to some place you
- 1:43:10Speaker 6: would have to do that and then well, they're your
- 1:43:15Speaker 6: child toward golf.
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: That's what the second one is saying that, Okay, you're
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: one of those open parent households that you're gonna wait
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: and see. Well, in that waiting to see if your
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: child is going through male puberty by that point, then
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: it's too.
- 1:43:31Speaker 7: Late to play golf at least professional play professional golf.
- 1:43:37Speaker 7: You might go to the San Jose State volleyball team,
- 1:43:41Speaker 7: but they're not gonna play professional golf.
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: John Morant says, no more highlight dunks. The Memphis Star
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: Guard says he's prioritizing his health from this port on,
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: So don't look for many of those highlight dunks that
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: a lot of people splash play the play. Don't look
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: for that anymore. Commandee, did I need to declare this?
- 1:44:10Speaker 18: Yeah?
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I did.
- 1:44:11Speaker 7: Had I had to hear myself say it so I
- 1:44:15Speaker 7: could hold myself accountable because I know you watching now,
- 1:44:19Speaker 7: and if I do it, you gonna say something. Because
- 1:44:22Speaker 7: if all I'm if, all I'm battling is me versus me,
- 1:44:25Speaker 7: I ain't gonna argue with myself when I want to
- 1:44:27Speaker 7: do splash play.
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: I'm a splash play.
- 1:44:29Speaker 3: It's gonna happen anyway. So we saw it with Blake Griffin.
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: By year six, he's shooting threes with Vince Carter. You
- 1:44:39Speaker 3: bring it up all the time where he like lets
- 1:44:41Speaker 3: himself down off the riff. We're going to see that
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: with John Morn anyway. Well, I'm saying no, but for
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: him to say it, he again must be conscious of
- 1:44:53Speaker 3: the fact that he's getting to a certain stage where
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: this is going to start becoming factor in my performance
- 1:45:02Speaker 3: going forward. So I'm gonna I'm gonna restrict myself from
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: doing it. But it's like getting a workout partner.
- 1:45:09Speaker 7: I could get out and go walking or lifting weights
- 1:45:13Speaker 7: at six am alone, but the workout partner offers accountability.
- 1:45:18Speaker 7: If you don't wake up with me, if I don't
- 1:45:20Speaker 7: wake up with you, I'm letting you down. One of
- 1:45:23Speaker 7: us is letting the other down. So it's sort of
- 1:45:25Speaker 7: like an oversight. And I think that's why he made
- 1:45:28Speaker 7: the announcement.
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: That's interesting. I was sitting there thinking, why do I
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: need to make an announce Just stop, just stop jumping
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: ball and do you I never went to the game
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: to see you do the highlight dunk. In his mind,
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: he thought I wanted to see you play ball. Whatever
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: playing ball brought about, that's what playing ball brought about.
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: And sports every time you like, okay, we're just gonna
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: stay right.
- 1:45:56Speaker 7: Every time you almost so you don't ask, that's what
- 1:46:01Speaker 7: every time you ask, Like, why would a person make
- 1:46:03Speaker 7: an announcement.
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: I think these people are wrong with job.
- 1:46:06Speaker 7: They be caught up in their own head, like he
- 1:46:08Speaker 7: thinks that everybody's gonna be on some man.
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: Why isn't he dunking anymore?
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: And most people don't even really care about that.
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: We're talking about Tyrod Taylor court order. We've had a
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: couple of cases with the Swadow rules. You might want
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: to check in your state. Just go back all of
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: them different statewide of what qualifies what doesn't. We've had
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: a couple of cases beforehand. As the aproducer was mentioning
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: Leshaun McCoy here in the Georgia area. Every state, I
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: can't say it enough, it's different, So don't don't go
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: by Georgia and take that over to Tennessee and might
- 1:46:46Speaker 1: be the same rules.
- 1:46:48Speaker 7: And if you look, a lot of these are basically rooted.
- 1:46:51Speaker 7: And he said, she said, he said I could stay here.
- 1:46:53Speaker 7: I told her to get out, and I'm still.
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: Here because I think her countersuit is that he said
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: that he would sell her the home if they broke up,
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: so and I guess he just want to be clear
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: of her complete completely. So you might want to check
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: your state law when it comes to that. And our
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: man Eddie George this year having a strong season at
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: Tennessee State. The Tigers up there. You Ohio Valley Ohio
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: Valley Conference, first time they've won it in twenty five years.
- 1:47:28Speaker 2: Twenty thirteen.
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: Okay, thirty you said twenty five years.
- 1:47:36Speaker 6: The report said last time they won the regular season
- 1:47:40Speaker 6: championship was twenty thirteen.
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: That's eleven years. It's not twenty five. When you first
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: told me, you said twenty five years. I wrote it
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: down about one. We'll be back boy man.
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:47:54Speaker 8: We made it as probably bottle to the leader in
- 1:47:57Speaker 8: that everyone followed, ain't know I'm running there, right? They
- 1:48:00Speaker 8: want me to either, didn't women any bleeding room salary?
- 1:48:03Speaker 8: I told him, I cat turns you raise. So you
- 1:48:05Speaker 8: know what's gonna happen when the we catch you out.
- 1:48:07Speaker 28: Run with them?

- 1:50:55Speaker 2: There?
- 1:50:56Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: Why right to the Sports Shock Show. On the Sports
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: Shock Wayne Againdee, we did clear up that Tennessee State
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: Eddie George. It's the first time since twenty thirteen they
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: did what Baptists.
- 1:51:08Speaker 6: Been in the playoffs in the playoffs, but nineteen ninety nine,
- 1:51:11Speaker 6: it's the last time they won the conference championship. But
- 1:51:13Speaker 6: it's still the story is confusing because they went seven
- 1:51:16Speaker 6: to oher in twenty thirteen in the conference, but they
- 1:51:20Speaker 6: still made the playoffs.
- 1:51:21Speaker 7: But they didn't win the conference championship. Okay, but twenty thirteen,
- 1:51:27Speaker 7: that's not they in the play playoffs. Ninety nine was
- 1:51:29Speaker 7: the last time they won the Ohio Valley Conference.
- 1:51:32Speaker 5: Got you?
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: Randy Mall's health concerns, admitted that he I was having
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: some internal health issues. A lot of people saw him
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: and they even was talking about Troy Aikman was eyes
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: were yellow or a deep red on Monday night football.
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: Randy mas said he was wearing shades that night as well.
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: I saw that.
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: I wonder, Randy, you're saying disease has.
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: Liver disease at this moment, has been diagnosed with liver disease.
- 1:52:03Speaker 1: And Troy might have just had Jack Daniel's disease, which
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: leads to it was chili out there. That's how Troy
- 1:52:13Speaker 1: Keith warn right, I mean, and yeah, that's how we
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: all keep going.
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: Am I right?
- 1:52:21Speaker 5: Am I right?
- 1:52:23Speaker 18: So?
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: Uh not that, but it's a command you, Greg says,
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: the golden at bat is in play. The golden at
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: bat is not something that Mike friends. Uh how he
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: says his last name Francona Francessa. Francessa says that he
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: will refuse to watch baseball if golden at that rule
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: is instituted, said he won't even watch it. The longtime
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: manager Golden at bad basically means that in the ninth inning,
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: Is that correct?
- 1:53:06Speaker 3: You can send any more up to that, yeah, or
- 1:53:08Speaker 3: just that as been specified as far as win. That
- 1:53:12Speaker 3: could be any point of the game. But anytime you
- 1:53:15Speaker 3: feel I can get some runs, send up your best
- 1:53:17Speaker 3: hitter like that.
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: Now, when you watch baseball, I don't know how big
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: of a baseball fan you are. Commands you big Kenny
- 1:53:28Speaker 1: Bad producer. Have you ever like these rules that they
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: keep instituting? Is that what you were sitting there pondering
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: with the forty two ounce coke zero what coke zero. No,
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: I'm saying, you're up in the stands. You got your
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: hot dog and your coke zero. You wait, you up
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: in the stands, you got a beef hot dog and
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: you order them.
- 1:53:53Speaker 7: Got deeper questions now, sir, let's paul, let's put a
- 1:53:57Speaker 7: pin in the Golden Bat thing.
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: You let's go with a coch zero?
- 1:54:01Speaker 5: Are you serious?
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: And you were sitting there thinking, you know what, they
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: need to institute the golden back, because that's that's what
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: this game needed. It's the best hitter to come in
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: right now.
- 1:54:15Speaker 7: No, No, I've never been sitting in the stands having
- 1:54:17Speaker 7: a hot dog and a soda thinking, right now they
- 1:54:22Speaker 7: need to put the best hitter. But I have been
- 1:54:24Speaker 7: at home one point, shy of clearing the spread. You thought, boy,
- 1:54:32Speaker 7: if we could jest get my man in here right now,
- 1:54:37Speaker 7: that's what I need. I need a miracle golden Bat
- 1:54:41Speaker 7: for this one run. That's all I need is the
- 1:54:44Speaker 7: one run. That's what the Golden Bat was made to satisfy.
- 1:54:49Speaker 6: But this rule has to be something that's been around
- 1:54:51Speaker 6: for a long time, because even as a youngster when
- 1:54:54Speaker 6: we used to play the game, You do you remember
- 1:54:58Speaker 6: taking your last In other words, once you got down
- 1:55:00Speaker 6: to the second strike, the older person, if you was
- 1:55:02Speaker 6: on it, hey, I'm gonna take your last swing because
- 1:55:05Speaker 6: we got runners on the base.
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: So like the same thing is that?
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: Not?
- 1:55:09Speaker 6: Like what they're trying to do is like I'm not
- 1:55:11Speaker 6: gonna let you're not good enough to hit the ball.
- 1:55:14Speaker 6: We're gonna let you swing as much as possible. But
- 1:55:16Speaker 6: once you get them second strikes on you, somebody else
- 1:55:18Speaker 6: gotta come in.
- 1:55:18Speaker 3: This is this is if it's in the last stitting
- 1:55:22Speaker 3: and you were in, you got your your seventh hitter
- 1:55:25Speaker 3: at bat, and you need someone else to get on
- 1:55:28Speaker 3: base to get to show hal Tony so he can bad. No,
- 1:55:30Speaker 3: you don't have to do that. We're gonna put Show
- 1:55:32Speaker 3: hel Tony in.
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, like somebody taking the best player.
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's coming too. But Major League Baseball has
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: already had that rude because you can pinch hit and
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: D eight. I was gonna ask what was the difference,
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: But then it's that star hitter on the bench the
- 1:55:47Speaker 1: whole game. It's someone who's I already have a way
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: for you to try to maniffacture another run called pinch
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: hitter it's called pinch hitter, but they they can't be
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: pinch hitter.
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: Show he he already just went that's what that's what
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: they're going to.
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: But that's what the golden batch.
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: Mike Francessa is saying.
- 1:56:17Speaker 7: He could get up and load the bases and then
- 1:56:20Speaker 7: have somebody come stand on base for him and.
- 1:56:24Speaker 1: Hit again.
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: That's Vegas.
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: That's money, only Vegas. Only Vegas would do that.
- 1:56:31Speaker 7: No, look, he's on bird base, per se, and he
- 1:56:36Speaker 7: goes to hit again if he is a good hitter,
- 1:56:40Speaker 7: per se.
- 1:56:41Speaker 1: And that's why I'm when rules come out, I always
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: do what I just was saying. I sit there and
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: I think, hmmm, have you ever just been sitting there
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: thinking that should be? And no, I think that you
- 1:56:56Speaker 1: had nine innings to put in work and you still
- 1:57:00Speaker 1: have pitch hitting, meaning that whoever else you over here
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: playing some million dollars, you can have them tag in it,
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: just like you have a pitch runner. Right, yeah, you can.
- 1:57:13Speaker 1: You need to be able to hit our man.
- 1:57:15Speaker 7: Jared says, as a big baseball fan, the only new
- 1:57:18Speaker 7: rule that is good is the pitch clock.
- 1:57:21Speaker 2: Everything else is gimmicky.
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: Correct and the and the pitch clock. I always want
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: to remind people it wasn't just for the picture, it
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: was for the battle, because you know, I man here,
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: what's the man the best player?
- 1:57:39Speaker 5: We got on.
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: Take about like ninety five seconds. That joker would fix it,
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: just your glove after every bad would fix it, all
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: his chains.
- 1:57:51Speaker 5: And it was it was just the ball.
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: He didn't even swing the ball. He stepped back, fixes heaven.
- 1:57:57Speaker 2: Then he fixes gloves and his wrist raised.
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: Did he do it cold?
- 1:58:03Speaker 3: Did he do it?
- 1:58:04Speaker 2: Then he he hit the bat off his clean the picture,
- 1:58:08Speaker 2: throw no.
- 1:58:14Speaker 7: Hold on?
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: And then back and did he do some more stuff?
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: Did he get back in there? And we are in
- 1:58:21Speaker 1: the ocean.
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: The truth is he will throw your in the ocean.
- 1:58:28Speaker 25: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Junk
- 1:58:31Speaker 25: Show with Wayne Candy.
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no no no no. I need
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: something that that that planting rock me that feel because
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: I got a two first, we got a bogo.
- 1:58:52Speaker 5: Get loose and h look Vici and we are in the.
- 1:59:15Speaker 1: We you designs of ocean to give him the swat
- 1:59:17Speaker 1: shout testa minute to Ben. We'd like to thank you

- 1:59:34Speaker 1: trying to push some more teams into the college football playoffs.
- 1:59:39Speaker 1: Here in Atlanta, the Lakers visiting the Hawks. Hawks on
- 1:59:43Speaker 1: won five games in a row. Lakers have lost like
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: eight of the last nine. I'm waiting on Lebron to
- 1:59:50Speaker 1: slap somebody. Let's go slap, even if it's brunning and
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: he ain't even playing. Slap somebody. Let's get somebody's attention.
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: And high school football semi finals Georgia Carrollton number two

- 2:00:10Speaker 1: which is the Beautifort Wolves. They've won fourteen state championships
- 2:00:15Speaker 1: in the last twenty four years. That is called dominance.
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: But going in the ocean today, have you got about
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: forty five minutes? My partner ex partner now the band
- 2:00:30Speaker 1: producer Falling Asleep Live Show Live. It's similar to the
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: man I'm about to hook him with and throw him
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: in the ocean. Chain them together. I know it sounds
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: like slavery, so what it is, Chain them together. Wide
- 2:00:47Speaker 1: receiver Deont Hanson has been suspended, you know, because why
- 2:00:55Speaker 1: have money in your pocket when you can just tell
- 2:00:58Speaker 1: your coach that you ain't going in Hey, get in there,
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: dance Nah man, I'm good.

- 2:01:26Speaker 1: You good? Coach, coach Harball and his staff. I'm very
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: surprised that you even still on the team. If you
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: really want to leave, I would have cut you. Lamar
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: Jackson should have went in there and told coach to
- 2:01:41Speaker 1: cut you. That's how you get the attention of your
- 2:01:45Speaker 1: team and get back to y'all winning ways. I had
- 2:01:50Speaker 1: this experience when I was a rookie with a guy
- 2:01:52Speaker 1: named Keith McCants. He was the great lineback out of Alabama.
- 2:01:57Speaker 1: Coach told him to go in. It was second down.
- 2:02:01Speaker 1: Keith said he was a third down specialist. He don't
- 2:02:04Speaker 1: do second down, He only do the third and the Rams.
- 2:02:08Speaker 1: The Lollo Rams went about four games. The next day
- 2:02:12Speaker 1: Keith was gone. You can't refuse to go in the
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: game or fall asleep, and you've lost a check and
- 2:02:20Speaker 1: you're on your third team in six years. Deyontay Johnson,
- 2:02:25Speaker 1: you're gonna find yourself home sleep buying some arena team
- 2:02:32Speaker 1: and then falling at that You connect the dots on that. Oh,
- 2:02:36Speaker 1: but command you Greg. Hit me with a double. Because
- 2:02:41Speaker 1: I got a double. I got to throw the bad producer,
- 2:02:44Speaker 1: which is even more ingregious because he's sending two feet
- 2:02:47Speaker 1: away from me and fell asleep. And Deontay Johnson for
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: refusing to go in the game.
- 2:02:54Speaker 28: Walk the plank, fuck up plank.
- 2:03:19Speaker 1: Shoe, Sue been kidding the funny man himself commands your
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: Greg and.
