- 0:03Speaker 1: I'm mixed one or two point nine. If you've got
- 0:04Speaker 1: a secret, you let us know. It's Bible to kid
- 0:06Speaker 1: Candice Lowpez, producer Pooh. Just call us eight three three seven,
- 0:10Speaker 1: eight seven one or two nine. Some people like to
- 0:11Speaker 1: set it up via Instagram, at Billy on the radio,
- 0:14Speaker 1: at Candas on air, at Poo on the radio. Either way,
- 0:17Speaker 1: just tell us whoever you're more comfortable with dealing with. Yeah,
- 0:19Speaker 1: let's find some people want to deal with Candas. I
- 0:21Speaker 1: don't blame you, Okay, she's nicer. She makes great sourdough.
- 0:24Speaker 1: She says, we don't know for sure. Maybe that's her secret.
- 0:27Speaker 1: She has a secret bakery and she sells her sourdo
- 0:30Speaker 1: on the side. Yeah, exactly what is your secret?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Go ahead?
- 0:35Speaker 3: Yeah? I got a confession, and everybody keeps asking me.
- 0:38Speaker 3: You know, every time I tell somebody if I'm okay,
- 0:41Speaker 3: the answer is, yes, I'm okay. I'm not suicidal. But
- 0:45Speaker 3: the confession is, in two weeks, I'm quitting my job,
- 0:48Speaker 3: packing up everything, and moving to Florida with absolutely no plan,
- 0:53Speaker 3: no plan. Yeah, I'm just picking up and going. I
- 0:55Speaker 3: haven't really told any of my friends or my family,
- 0:58Speaker 3: And as far as you know, they're all concerned, and
- 1:00Speaker 3: that's pretty you know, everything's normal. Meanwhile, I've been listening
- 1:03Speaker 3: to all my stuff on Facebook Marketplace. You know, I
- 1:05Speaker 3: sold my TV, my couch, most of my furnitures gone,
- 1:09Speaker 3: and I'm pretty much just selling everything I have and
- 1:11Speaker 3: you know, except for the stuff I could fit in
- 1:12Speaker 3: my car. And then I'm leaving. Wow, So that's it.
- 1:16Speaker 2: That's it.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Some people think I'm having down.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I'm not well.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I was going to ask you, I mean, you know,
- 1:22Speaker 1: not to get too serious, but you you're okay, You're
- 1:25Speaker 1: you're okay, You're just this is just what you're doing.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm totally fine. I just you know, it's like
- 1:30Speaker 3: every day I wake up and it's the same thing
- 1:33Speaker 3: over and over again. You know. It's like I wake up,
- 1:35Speaker 3: I'm almost robot here. It's like a brown hog Day
- 1:38Speaker 3: or something. Work I made somebody else rich, you know.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I come home, I watch some TV, I go to bed,
- 1:44Speaker 3: wake up, and do it all over again the next day.
- 1:47Speaker 3: It's like, at the end of the week, I barely
- 1:49Speaker 3: have enough money to even enjoy anything. You know, I
- 1:51Speaker 3: just don't want.
- 1:52Speaker 2: To do it. I hear. I get this vibe from
- 1:55Speaker 2: so many people rat race.
- 1:58Speaker 4: It's I get it. We're not doing life right.
- 2:01Speaker 2: No, in a lot of ways, you're right.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And you know what, Candice, you brought this to my
- 2:04Speaker 1: attention the other day because you had some breakdown of
- 2:07Speaker 1: how much how much the average person from nine to five,
- 2:10Speaker 1: how much they work, Yeah, how much free time they have,
- 2:12Speaker 1: And it was.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Sad, how much time is spent in doing things that
- 2:15Speaker 4: we don't necessarily want to do, but naturally we're supposed
- 2:18Speaker 4: to and that's what we're just built for here. I
- 2:21Speaker 4: mean a lot of people wish they could break free.
- 2:23Speaker 2: And you're right, it's so expensive nowadays. It's I'm like,
- 2:26Speaker 2: what am I working for?
- 2:27Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:27Speaker 2: To survive?
- 2:29Speaker 3: I thought to myself. You know, my family's busy with
- 2:31Speaker 3: their lives and kids, and we don't really even talk
- 2:33Speaker 3: that much anymore. All my friends are basically doing the
- 2:36Speaker 3: same thing like that. You know, everybody's getting married up
- 2:38Speaker 3: and having kids, and it's nobody's being a bad person,
- 2:41Speaker 3: but everybody's all wrapped up in their home thing. You know. Yeah,
- 2:43Speaker 3: I'm single, I have no kids, I don't I don't
- 2:46Speaker 3: even have a partner. I live in a strappy apartment.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I got nothing to lose. So you know, I really
- 2:51Speaker 3: just sat down one day and asked myself, like, if
- 2:53Speaker 3: nobody needs me here, why am I here? And I
- 2:56Speaker 3: thought about, Okay, well what would I do? You know?
- 2:58Speaker 3: If I do something, what am I gonna do? And
- 3:01Speaker 3: I keep falling back on fishing?
- 3:03Speaker 2: Fishing?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Yeah, fishing, being out on the water is like the
- 3:07Speaker 3: only thing that clears my head. Maybe I can find
- 3:09Speaker 3: a job on a boat, you know, Ada marina or something, fishing,
- 3:13Speaker 3: charter boat, something.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Yeah, go for it, you should. I mean, I think
- 3:16Speaker 2: that's a better way to put it.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Listen, I'm going to follow a dream that I think
- 3:19Speaker 1: is gonna make me happy instead of saying I'm just
- 3:21Speaker 1: leaving I don't care. Yeah, I think that's that's the
- 3:24Speaker 1: what you're doing. Really, You're trying to find something that
- 3:28Speaker 1: makes you happy, so you have some money you're going
- 3:31Speaker 1: out there with or I mean anything.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I'm not rich, like I said, i'd
- 3:36Speaker 3: braly make enough money to get by, but I've been
- 3:38Speaker 3: saving for a while and I got enough money put
- 3:41Speaker 3: away I could probably I can definitely survive for a
- 3:43Speaker 3: few weeks if I'm careful, and after that, I mean
- 3:46Speaker 3: we'll see, you know, The craziest part about this sort
- 3:48Speaker 3: of thing is I don't think people are gonna even notice,
- 3:51Speaker 3: and I'm gone maybe, I mean, I don't mean it
- 3:54Speaker 3: like that, but they're all just so busy, and you know,
- 3:57Speaker 3: I don't know. Maybe around the holidays somebody will call
- 3:59Speaker 3: or somebody will tech see that.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Now that makes me sad, because people will. I do.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I do sometimes feel guilty because I don't make the
- 4:06Speaker 1: proper effort with family and friends. Sometimes because you're life
- 4:10Speaker 1: does get busy and I'm guilty of that and my
- 4:12Speaker 1: friends are guilty. Then sometimes you got to make a
- 4:14Speaker 1: conscious effort. So people will definitely just because they're not
- 4:18Speaker 1: you don't feel like they're making time, doesn't mean they
- 4:20Speaker 1: wouldn't miss you if you're if you didn't live here,
- 4:22Speaker 1: you know what I mean?
- 4:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I guess.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I might tell my family if I were you.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I don't know if I wouldn't want to worry them,
- 4:29Speaker 1: and you might regret not telling them, But I mean,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you're gonna do what you want to do, but.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I'll let them know what they get there.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Maybe, well, man, good good luck. I hope you find happiness.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I really do.
- 4:40Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know. Maybe you know, maybe in
- 4:42Speaker 3: six months I'll be calling you from Florida, live in
- 4:44Speaker 3: the dream, or maybe I'll call you in six months
- 4:48Speaker 3: from Florida living in my car.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I don't know either way, call me yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 4: I mean the thought of taking a leap like this
- 4:54Speaker 4: is like I respect that I do too. It's exciting
- 4:56Speaker 4: if you, you know, frame it in your mind that way.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I I think that's Cannice. That's exactly what you gotta
- 5:02Speaker 1: frame it differently. People will, people love you, people absolutely care.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I would frame it like I'm going to try something
- 5:08Speaker 1: new because I'm tired of being the same old nine
- 5:11Speaker 1: to five, boring robot.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I want to be happy. I'm going to find my
- 5:15Speaker 2: happy place.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Would say, man, I wish I could do that.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yes, you know, I would look at it like that.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I hope you are. I hope you find that. Please
- 5:25Speaker 2: follow up with us and let us know.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Absolutely you'll get a call
