- 0:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Favorite time of week.
- 0:05Speaker 2: You download the crazy sheets, you get something to drink,
- 0:07Speaker 2: grab your buddy, go on a walk, go to exercise.
- 0:09Speaker 2: But you were gonna spend some time with Market Scotti
- 0:12Speaker 2: talking about college football. I'm Market, I'm here in the
- 0:14Speaker 2: podcasting studio. Scot's at home brother. Week three, Week four.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Week three was fantastic. Last week? Did you enjoy yourself?
- 0:22Speaker 3: Man? It was great? How about the five? How about
- 0:24Speaker 3: the five teamer coming through for us? Our underdog Parlay
- 0:29Speaker 3: came through for uts. Gotta love it. That's those are
- 0:32Speaker 3: great days, great days.
- 0:34Speaker 2: I got a text from a buddy of mine and
- 0:36Speaker 2: he was like, I bet he's in Vegas last week.
- 0:38Speaker 2: He's like, I took old Dominion and people laughed at me,
- 0:41Speaker 2: and he just now I look good.
- 0:43Speaker 1: And he said, oh, by the way, I've got.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Bandy as well. And I was like that a boy.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Now we're getting somewhere.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Now we're getting somewhere. Tell you what a couple of
- 0:50Speaker 3: couple of things the you and I talked about this.
- 0:54Speaker 3: If you didn't watch Thursday night the ACC having the
- 0:57Speaker 3: replay officials where if you're hearing them talk about it,
- 1:02Speaker 3: needs to be adopted across college football on every instance,
- 1:06Speaker 3: and I think by the end of the season that's
- 1:09Speaker 3: going to be so well received that I think every
- 1:12Speaker 3: league's going to be forced to do it. Love hearing
- 1:15Speaker 3: them talk about one set of people's making the decision
- 1:20Speaker 3: really really like that make some of these rulings more human,
- 1:25Speaker 3: I guess would be the right way to say it.
- 1:27Speaker 3: And I really like that. I hope that continues.
- 1:31Speaker 2: No, I agree. I enjoyed that. I thought that was
- 1:33Speaker 2: a great part of the broadcast. I thought it made
- 1:35Speaker 2: the game go faster, really because once they start talking,
- 1:38Speaker 2: it was what are we looking at, Let's make a decision,
- 1:40Speaker 2: Let's get this going and move on. Other thing I
- 1:43Speaker 2: loved about that game n C State man CJ. Bailey,
- 1:46Speaker 2: their quarterback. That kid's gonna be special. I mean, he's
- 1:49Speaker 2: got a whip for an arm. And they're young. I
- 1:51Speaker 2: mean they've got a little bit older offensive line, a
- 1:53Speaker 2: lot of freshmen and sophomores on that team at NC State,
- 1:56Speaker 2: and Dave Dorian's doing a hell of a job. And
- 1:59Speaker 2: now when that team was down fourteen nothing before they
- 2:01Speaker 2: even knew what was going on, and then battle back
- 2:03Speaker 2: and ended up pulling it out and getting the win,
- 2:05Speaker 2: and so yeah.
- 2:06Speaker 3: The ended up winning by ten or fourteen. I mean
- 2:08Speaker 3: it was a yeah. They dominated after those first couple series,
- 2:12Speaker 3: so good win for them. How about I got to
- 2:15Speaker 3: tell you something, if you don't think coaching matters, especially
- 2:18Speaker 3: coaching quarterbacks, we don't need to look any farther than
- 2:21Speaker 3: the Tennessee volunteers. You have got Niko out there in
- 2:26Speaker 3: that hot mess, and then you got the dude that
- 2:29Speaker 3: they turned loose when they got Nico, and he goes
- 2:33Speaker 3: into Nico's spot and is getting paid by the day
- 2:37Speaker 3: because that guy actually looks like an NFL quarterback. Regardless
- 2:41Speaker 3: of the loss, I thought Tennessee played really, really well.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Georgia is just Georgia. They figure out how to do it.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Even though a little bit was luck with the miss
- 2:50Speaker 3: field goal, but it ain't lucky when you keep doing it.
- 2:53Speaker 3: At some point, it's about you and putting yourself in
- 2:56Speaker 3: the position to always be there. But Tennessee's a good
- 2:59Speaker 3: football team and nothing to be concerned about. I don't
- 3:04Speaker 3: think with the volunteers, and I think Agalar is making
- 3:07Speaker 3: money in that situation. I think it's all about coaching
- 3:10Speaker 3: because he has never looked like that kind of player,
- 3:14Speaker 3: and boom, you get talent players around you and all
- 3:16Speaker 3: of a sudden, you're good. Great football game, though they
- 3:20Speaker 3: went at it. That was a significantly higher scoring game
- 3:23Speaker 3: than I think I was expecting. But a really really
- 3:26Speaker 3: fun game. Boy the night games. My favorite part of
- 3:32Speaker 3: the Aggie Dame game. The only way Notre Dame loses
- 3:37Speaker 3: that football game is if the holding gets called for turn,
- 3:42Speaker 3: they score, and it's the other way around. Notre Dame's
- 3:45Speaker 3: going down to win that football game because neither one
- 3:47Speaker 3: of those teams could stop the other team. I found
- 3:51Speaker 3: that extremely fascinating. That was Marcus Freeman. I'd have been like, no, no, no,
- 3:55Speaker 3: it's good. Let him score. We're getting the ball right back.
- 3:58Speaker 3: We just had a six minute drive. We're gonna pound
- 4:00Speaker 3: on these guys for the next three minutes. Bad luck
- 4:03Speaker 3: for Dame. Great football game though, great football game.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Great game. And you know what, kudos to Mike Elko
- 4:09Speaker 2: in the Aggies. You know you always hear about the
- 4:12Speaker 2: year two bump, what's you're gonna get? And you know,
- 4:15Speaker 2: because you had Kaitlin de Boor at Alabama, no one's
- 4:18Speaker 2: talking about A and M and the perennial eight. I mean,
- 4:21Speaker 2: and it's not like he took over a team that
- 4:23Speaker 2: was a dumpster fire. I mean, he took over a
- 4:25Speaker 2: great program and look what he's done with it. And
- 4:28Speaker 2: now he's he's got in lined at this point to go.
- 4:31Speaker 2: And I was reading a great article from this summer
- 4:34Speaker 2: with Colin Klein and he'sid One of the things he
- 4:37Speaker 2: said was coming into the season, he said, I really
- 4:39Speaker 2: like our downfield passing game, and it's evident with Casey
- 4:44Speaker 2: Can and the other thing I want to say about
- 4:45Speaker 2: A and M. What a great deal when you look
- 4:48Speaker 2: at your roster and say, what do we need. We
- 4:50Speaker 2: need some wide receivers.
- 4:51Speaker 3: We need Assissippi state wide receiver. That's what they need.
- 4:54Speaker 3: They ain't Missisippi state wide receiver.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And Casey concept she on Vincy State, and so that's right,
- 5:00Speaker 2: they go get them both, you know. And back to
- 5:02Speaker 2: the Tennessee game. If you want to know how good
- 5:04Speaker 2: Joey Aguilar is. Joey Aguilar had more explosive passing plays
- 5:08Speaker 2: in that game against Georgia on Saturday than niko ol
- 5:12Speaker 2: Mailey Ava had all season last year. Uh And so
- 5:15Speaker 2: obviously josh Hipel is more comfortable running the offense with
- 5:18Speaker 2: Aguilar than he was before. And the one thing I
- 5:22Speaker 2: take away from Tennessee not that there's any good losses,
- 5:24Speaker 2: but I now think that team definitely has the mustard
- 5:27Speaker 2: to be a playoff contending team and it has a
- 5:31Speaker 2: chance to play for the SEC championship. Really and so no,
- 5:34Speaker 2: it was great.
- 5:35Speaker 3: And Mark, I will tell you something else about talking
- 5:38Speaker 3: about playoff teams. You're not gonna convince me Notre Dame's
- 5:41Speaker 3: not one of the best fifteen teams in the country.
- 5:43Speaker 3: And although we've only got twelve teams, but it was like, well,
- 5:46Speaker 3: they're out of the playoff conversation. Let's see where i
- 5:48Speaker 3: AM turns out. Let's see where Miami turns out, and
- 5:52Speaker 3: let's see where USC turns out. Because those let's let's
- 5:56Speaker 3: just hold our horses here, because they've looked they've looked
- 5:59Speaker 3: really good and two losses, and I think that matters too.
- 6:03Speaker 3: If an m was a playoff team through the SEC
- 6:06Speaker 3: and Miami looks like the best team in the ACC,
- 6:09Speaker 3: those two teams both make the playoffs and then they
- 6:12Speaker 3: beat an eight and four, nine to three USC team
- 6:16Speaker 3: at the end of the year. Don't tell me this
- 6:18Speaker 3: team's not a playoff team. There's no chance or not,
- 6:22Speaker 3: and they look like a playoff team to me. That's
- 6:24Speaker 3: that's the truth. I just think they've because these two
- 6:27Speaker 3: losses happen to be at the start of their season
- 6:31Speaker 3: is to me no different than if those games are
- 6:33Speaker 3: one in October and one in November and their attending
- 6:36Speaker 3: two football team. Are we saying that Notre Dame's not
- 6:39Speaker 3: a playoff team, No, we're not, because they've sucked it
- 6:42Speaker 3: up and played them in September. I don't think ought
- 6:45Speaker 3: to be a penalty either. And I'm by no means
- 6:47Speaker 3: a Notre Dame guy. I mean that. The truth is
- 6:50Speaker 3: I think they've lost the two good teams because I
- 6:53Speaker 3: think if A and M can throw the football with
- 6:56Speaker 3: those players the way they've thrown the football early, this
- 7:00Speaker 3: is gonna be a good football game because I think
- 7:01Speaker 3: that running game is gonna get on track, I really do.
- 7:04Speaker 3: And I think this and Elko is gonna keep improving
- 7:07Speaker 3: that defense. That look that defense fell apart late in
- 7:11Speaker 3: the year last year, but I think they're going to
- 7:13Speaker 3: continue to get better under him. Let's wait and see
- 7:16Speaker 3: where these two teams shake out before we stick a
- 7:18Speaker 3: fork in Notre Dame.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I would agree. The only thing Notre Dame's really gonna
- 7:22Speaker 2: have to improve if they want to make a run
- 7:24Speaker 2: at it is their defense. I don't know what happened
- 7:26Speaker 2: between last year and this year, but it's bad. I mean,
- 7:30Speaker 2: Al Golden leaving Chris. If I'm Marcus Freeman, I'm almost
- 7:35Speaker 2: pulling the plug on the mark Chris ash Now and
- 7:38Speaker 2: been like, look, man, we can't give up forty at home.
- 7:40Speaker 2: You know, It's like our defense looks like shit. And
- 7:44Speaker 2: because CJ. Carrs looked good as far as coming into
- 7:47Speaker 2: quarterback play, but they and they can't really they're not
- 7:51Speaker 2: able to control clock the game and would love because
- 7:53Speaker 2: they're having to throw the balls of them much so,
- 7:55Speaker 2: I don't know a lot of good stuff going on. Boy,
- 7:57Speaker 2: the Texas fans are enjoying them. Arch Manning, is this
- 8:01Speaker 2: gonna be the world's largest rug pull ever? Arch, His
- 8:04Speaker 2: throwing mechanics don't look good, his confidence doesn't look good.
- 8:08Speaker 3: He's got hit.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Ten incomplete passes in a row. I mean it looks awful.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Off looks awful. I mean, did he complete a pass
- 8:17Speaker 3: in the second court? I don't think it is. It
- 8:21Speaker 3: is amazing. The kid's gotta be hurt. You're never gonna
- 8:25Speaker 3: convince me something's not hurt with that kid, and is
- 8:29Speaker 3: he just trying to suck it up and play through it.
- 8:32Speaker 3: There's a lot of reasons I feel that way, but
- 8:34Speaker 3: mainly because he doesn't look like he did last year
- 8:37Speaker 3: throwing the football, and his emotions not the same as
- 8:41Speaker 3: dripped down more side arm. There's a lot of things
- 8:44Speaker 3: in play, but wow, how long can Texas keep going
- 8:49Speaker 3: the way they're going? The schedule gets hard for for
- 8:52Speaker 3: the long Horns, so I mean, if they can't, they
- 8:56Speaker 3: got some tough trips coming up, so it's gonna be
- 8:58Speaker 3: interesting to see, uh, you know high that offense shakes out.
- 9:03Speaker 3: I mean that is man, and I can't leave last
- 9:07Speaker 3: weekend without talking about Garrett and us Meyer. How in
- 9:12Speaker 3: the hell does a fifth year guy who's supposed to
- 9:15Speaker 3: be a first round quarterback throw that interception he threw
- 9:19Speaker 3: rolling out? I just don't understand. That is an awful decision.
- 9:25Speaker 3: That's the only way they could have lost the football game.
- 9:29Speaker 3: And then he goes and does it. Man, that was
- 9:32Speaker 3: a rough game for dus Meyer, not nearly as rough
- 9:34Speaker 3: as it was for DJ Lagway, but at least he
- 9:38Speaker 3: was playing a high end defense. I don't know that
- 9:41Speaker 3: the Gators defenses. Of course, it's significantly better than their offense.
- 9:44Speaker 3: But man, we're gonna find out this weekend if that's
- 9:47Speaker 3: a high end the defense or not. So boy, the
- 9:50Speaker 3: Tigers looked terrible on offense and they looked equally as
- 9:55Speaker 3: good on defense. Gators played really well on defense. Just
- 10:00Speaker 3: an interesting Lagway had sophomore growing things in that game.
- 10:03Speaker 3: He was seeing ghosts in Tiger Stadium.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that. Well, it came out today that
- 10:08Speaker 2: they finally announced Nesmyer's hurt. He's got some kind of
- 10:11Speaker 2: a torso issue, which kind of explains a little bit.
- 10:15Speaker 2: But their offensive lines definitely still growing. But the other
- 10:18Speaker 2: thing that their defense in weeks will be back. They
- 10:21Speaker 2: say he's got a strained cap. I would expect him
- 10:23Speaker 2: to sit out this week as they play Southeastern Louisiana.
- 10:27Speaker 2: But the defense is I mean, that's what I thought
- 10:29Speaker 2: we would see. God damn are they good. I mean,
- 10:32Speaker 2: just fly into the ball everywhere and uh, and that's
- 10:35Speaker 2: what you're gonna have to have. I mean that's where
- 10:38Speaker 2: I'm kind of interested. You know, you got press game
- 10:41Speaker 2: You know, I love coach press game after games, press conferences.
- 10:46Speaker 2: You got Brian Kelly just exploding this week at the
- 10:50Speaker 2: end of it, you know, getting asked the question and
- 10:52Speaker 2: can't why can't they run the ball? What's going on there?
- 10:55Speaker 2: And he's losing his mind about that? And then you
- 10:58Speaker 2: follow it up with the middle of the week Clemson
- 11:01Speaker 2: Davos Sweeney who basically gets asked maybe a question that
- 11:05Speaker 2: he doesn't answer and goes on about an eighteen minute
- 11:08Speaker 2: rant about y'all. Don't think y'all don't want me here.
- 11:10Speaker 2: That's fine, I'll go on. I ain't done coaching. I
- 11:13Speaker 2: got plenty of time left. I'm young, I'm just figuring
- 11:15Speaker 2: this stuff out. And the one thing I'm gonna say
- 11:17Speaker 2: about this with Clemson, and maybe I'm wrong, but this
- 11:20Speaker 2: is the reason Week one I was on LSU in
- 11:22Speaker 2: that game is all you heard all off season about
- 11:25Speaker 2: Clemson was is they have everybody back. They have everybody back,
- 11:28Speaker 2: They got this and and you and I talked about
- 11:31Speaker 2: this a little bit, and they did go out and
- 11:33Speaker 2: get a receiver. Great, but you hear all these things
- 11:36Speaker 2: and I was like, man, do they have everybody back?
- 11:37Speaker 2: But were they that good? Last year, and I just
- 11:40Speaker 2: think that team is just a it's mixed out at
- 11:42Speaker 2: this point. And I don't know how they're gonna get
- 11:45Speaker 2: any better, because it's not like you got a bunch
- 11:47Speaker 2: of young guys that are just learning and it's gonna
- 11:50Speaker 2: gel together. This is the same roster they rolled out
- 11:52Speaker 2: last year, and so I have no idea how this
- 11:54Speaker 2: team's gonna get any better.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Milly's got to leave. Dabo's killing him, He's killing his career.
- 12:00Speaker 3: It is uh. He is certainly not willing to take
- 12:06Speaker 3: the breaks off that offense and let Riley run what
- 12:09Speaker 3: I think he wants to run, which is a faster paced,
- 12:12Speaker 3: more wide open deal. This is this is Dabo's offense.
- 12:16Speaker 3: This isn't his. It is not working. They are bad,
- 12:22Speaker 3: but they're more talented than they're producing on offense. And candidly,
- 12:28Speaker 3: I think they got better coaches than than they are
- 12:31Speaker 3: producing as well. I haven't looked, but I'm assuming Matt
- 12:36Speaker 3: Luke is still the offensive line coach. But and and
- 12:40Speaker 3: and he's a good coach. Riley's a good coach. You
- 12:43Speaker 3: just look and and and they're just simply not producing.
- 12:46Speaker 3: And I think it is because they're being dialed. They're
- 12:49Speaker 3: being dialed back, and I just boy, they are. They
- 12:54Speaker 3: are broken on offense, completely broken. And this team's more
- 12:59Speaker 3: talent than that. But look, I don't think it's much
- 13:03Speaker 3: different than the team at LSU. This team's significantly more talented.
- 13:09Speaker 3: They got playmakers at wide receiver, but they can't run
- 13:12Speaker 3: the football and candidly they ought to be able to
- 13:15Speaker 3: do it. It's clearly offensive line play and that's hurting
- 13:19Speaker 3: them in the passing game, where they got great players.
- 13:21Speaker 3: There so a lot of good teams and a lot
- 13:24Speaker 3: of teams we thought that were good at the start
- 13:26Speaker 3: of the year, and we're going to talk about this
- 13:28Speaker 3: about a couple of teams too that looked impressive early
- 13:31Speaker 3: in the podcast are getting shown that they are very,
- 13:36Speaker 3: very flawed. There's a lot of teams with a lot
- 13:39Speaker 3: of awards, and it gets back to exactly what we
- 13:42Speaker 3: were saying all summer. These teams don't have the depth.
- 13:45Speaker 3: The talent is spread out better. We have made college
- 13:49Speaker 3: football more wide open in Arizona State last year. Look,
- 13:53Speaker 3: Mississippi State may not win more than four games this
- 13:55Speaker 3: year because of their schedule, but that team significantly better.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Jeff Levy has gotten the talent influx incredible. Go back
- 14:03Speaker 3: to two years ago and look at what Arizona State did.
- 14:06Speaker 3: They were awful. I think they won two or three
- 14:08Speaker 3: games his first year boom. Then they made the playoff
- 14:10Speaker 3: the next year. You couldn't do that in the previous structure,
- 14:14Speaker 3: and here you can, and teams can go out and
- 14:17Speaker 3: look at Ohio State. They're gonna end up being one
- 14:21Speaker 3: of the very best teams at the end of the year.
- 14:24Speaker 3: And it's because they've got a ton of talent. And
- 14:27Speaker 3: last year they were a flawed program and went and
- 14:30Speaker 3: went and got some guys in the portal to finish,
- 14:33Speaker 3: to finish off and win a national title. And that
- 14:36Speaker 3: lets some of these young guys that are playing this
- 14:39Speaker 3: year develop in a backup role last year. So it
- 14:42Speaker 3: is a really fascinating program. I hate the portal, I
- 14:46Speaker 3: hate being an unlimited transfers, but at the end of
- 14:49Speaker 3: the day, it has spread the talent out significantly more
- 14:54Speaker 3: across college football, and I think you're going to get
- 14:57Speaker 3: some wild games and some wild ups. That's we didn't
- 15:01Speaker 3: talk about this a ton last week, but man, this
- 15:04Speaker 3: travel deal Mark holy Smiel, dude, it is real and
- 15:09Speaker 3: we have you have got to trust it. You get
- 15:11Speaker 3: those teams going out west, like last week, they looked
- 15:15Speaker 3: hal and Stanford won those games easily, and they are
- 15:19Speaker 3: not the better football team. Cal may be the better
- 15:21Speaker 3: football team, but they are not the better football teams.
- 15:24Speaker 3: They won those games easily and convincingly because these teams
- 15:27Speaker 3: are kicking off at ten and eleven o'clock bodyclock time
- 15:31Speaker 3: and there and it's eight o'clock their bodyclock time, and
- 15:34Speaker 3: these dudes are zoost up and ready to play, and
- 15:36Speaker 3: the other teams ready to get home, and it is
- 15:39Speaker 3: making this.
- 15:41Speaker 2: It's the same coming the other way. If you're noticing
- 15:43Speaker 2: two time zones. I don't know why people aren't talking about.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Oregon is six touchdowns better than Northwestern? And I know
- 15:52Speaker 3: Northwestern got that late score to cover, but they are
- 15:55Speaker 3: six touchdowns better than them. That team's not. They go
- 15:57Speaker 3: to Eugene and that is a sixty six, the six
- 16:01Speaker 3: kind of game. I mean, they crushed them, and.
- 16:03Speaker 2: They go in Vegas. They beat the hell out up them, no.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Doubt, and yet Northwestern gets a cover. And again I
- 16:10Speaker 3: understand it's a back door cover, but my point is
- 16:13Speaker 3: they covered and then you get, you know, just like
- 16:15Speaker 3: we were talking about with Purdue. They got no business
- 16:18Speaker 3: covering that game. They get crushed. But these teams are
- 16:21Speaker 3: flat coming across. These young kids aren't mentally prepared to
- 16:25Speaker 3: do it. And we're gonna start cashing checks on this.
- 16:29Speaker 3: I mean, Calveys got we mentioned it and I'm gonna
- 16:32Speaker 3: talk about it again. They got the three trips across
- 16:34Speaker 3: country in six weeks. Man that last week, they're gonna
- 16:39Speaker 3: play like hammered Hill. It doesn't matter how good they are.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you had, you're traveling two time zone, Scott, and
- 16:47Speaker 2: I notice this last year. I'm gonna start betting a
- 16:49Speaker 2: blind at least for half a unit every time. Last week,
- 16:52Speaker 2: let me name it for you. Oregon State, Washington State,
- 16:58Speaker 2: usc USC on the travel game that you've got from there,
- 17:03Speaker 2: Oregon on the travel game you've got from there, the
- 17:05Speaker 2: two Boston college you traveled out to play Stanford. And
- 17:09Speaker 2: who did cal have last week? I can't remember anybody
- 17:14Speaker 2: that moved two time zones last week.
- 17:18Speaker 1: With six?
- 17:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I forgot about I forgot about Wazuo.
- 17:22Speaker 2: You're right, and so I and I How people haven't
- 17:27Speaker 2: started talking about this yet. I'm sure there's some pros
- 17:31Speaker 2: that have been on this and they're pounding these lines
- 17:33Speaker 2: right when they come out, and so you've got a
- 17:35Speaker 2: couple of them this week, and so I really do
- 17:37Speaker 2: think it comes out of the fact that these guys
- 17:39Speaker 2: aren't NFL players. They're not going in two days early.
- 17:42Speaker 2: They're flying. I was in Lubbock, Texas last weekend. I
- 17:46Speaker 2: was there for the game, and I can tell you
- 17:48Speaker 2: right now that Oregon State arrived at the hotel in
- 17:51Speaker 2: Lubbock around two thirty in the afternoon, two thirty or
- 17:55Speaker 2: three in the afternoon on Friday, did a little walk
- 17:58Speaker 2: through in the parking lot stretch. I'm sure had team.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I watched it. I drove right past the hotel, and
- 18:04Speaker 2: I travel I've traveled most of my life for my career.
- 18:07Speaker 2: You travel in four or five hours on an airplane
- 18:10Speaker 2: and then you've got to try to roll out and
- 18:11Speaker 2: be fresh the next day. It's tough. It's just that's
- 18:15Speaker 2: why the pros go a day early. They don't do
- 18:17Speaker 2: it like that. So anyway, that's behind the Scottie Let's
- 18:20Speaker 2: move on Big Week. Had a great week last week
- 18:22Speaker 2: in the contest. We ended up going four to two
- 18:26Speaker 2: and one because our contests play pushed line moved because
- 18:29Speaker 2: those lines don't come out from the West Gate until
- 18:32Speaker 2: later five and two. On the podcast, we had the
- 18:35Speaker 2: money line parlay hit, we had the underdog parlay hit.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Great week, plus a lot of units. Hope everybody was
- 18:42Speaker 2: able to cash some tickets. We got a huge board
- 18:44Speaker 2: this week. What I'll do so I'm putting this out
- 18:47Speaker 2: there in the notes. I will include every play that
- 18:50Speaker 2: we got. I will list the plays that we're going
- 18:52Speaker 2: to have in the contest. I will list plays that
- 18:55Speaker 2: the parlays, so they'll be in the notes of the podcast.
- 18:58Speaker 2: So you don't have to rewind, scroll back and forth.
- 19:01Speaker 2: If you don't even listen, it's there. Scroll down to
- 19:03Speaker 2: the bottom, give us a five star review or tell
- 19:05Speaker 2: us that we're fucking terrible. I don't care. Got a
- 19:08Speaker 2: lot of tweets, we gotta go. Got those some got
- 19:10Speaker 2: those some kudos out real quick to one of our
- 19:12Speaker 2: avid listeners, Adrian Pippery, all the way from Tokyo last week.
- 19:16Speaker 2: He was there to watch his son Trip get stix
- 19:19Speaker 2: in the world and the shot put be ready on lookout.
- 19:22Speaker 2: This kid's coming for the Olympics in LA and a
- 19:24Speaker 2: Cup next year. Uh. He'll be right there with Ryan
- 19:27Speaker 2: Krauser and Shake go backs from the United States representing US.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Uh so, kudos to him. Man six in the world,
- 19:33Speaker 2: I'm not even six in my house and most things
- 19:35Speaker 2: we do and to the people that live here are dogs.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I agree with you. I'm right there with you.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Oh Man, Scotty. Let's get started. Let's get started. I'm
- 19:45Speaker 2: excited Thursday night. I'm gonna throw one of these out there,
- 19:48Speaker 2: maybe just a little half unit to have you some
- 19:50Speaker 2: pizza money fun. Haven't seen a light on this one yet.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Rice and Charlotte come out. This line's two Rice laying points,
- 19:59Speaker 2: I mean all the money. He's coming on Charlotte over
- 20:01Speaker 2: under years forty two and a half. These teams are
- 20:04Speaker 2: not very good football right now. Rise is new do
- 20:07Speaker 2: Both these teams have new coaches. Rice is implemented kind
- 20:10Speaker 2: of a new system. It's interesting and it may be
- 20:13Speaker 2: what they need to evolve. Charlotte and Tim Albins have
- 20:16Speaker 2: not looked good in all this season. Here's where I'm
- 20:19Speaker 2: gonna go with this game. I'm not gonna go to
- 20:20Speaker 2: a ton of detail. May though a happy unit to
- 20:22Speaker 2: have some watchability on this, but if it's anything over
- 20:25Speaker 2: twenty two points, twenty one and a half. If I
- 20:28Speaker 2: need four scores, I'm gonna go the first half under.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Bringing this one back from the dead used to be
- 20:34Speaker 2: almost a every week play. Both of these teams have
- 20:37Speaker 2: played Thursday night. Excuse me, last Saturday, they're playing Thursday night.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Both of these teams are in the bottom percentage of
- 20:44Speaker 2: how fast they run plays. Charlotte takes I mean, Rice
- 20:47Speaker 2: takes almost thirty seconds per to revk a snap. Charlotte's
- 20:50Speaker 2: not much faster than that. I look for this game
- 20:53Speaker 2: to be kind of a slog fest. Probably not a
- 20:56Speaker 2: lot of explosion from these teams, a lot of running.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Got there anything over twenty one and a half? Put
- 21:02Speaker 2: a half unit down on the first half under, and
- 21:04Speaker 2: let's just enjoy some of that stuff. You got anything
- 21:07Speaker 2: you want to throw it on that? Are you just
- 21:08Speaker 2: ready to go?
- 21:08Speaker 3: No? I love that. Let's get rolling. I like that.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Friday night. I'm not gonna get on the Tulsa, Okland
- 21:14Speaker 2: State game, but if I did, I probably would get
- 21:16Speaker 2: on Tulsa in that one. But Iowa and Rutgers, who
- 21:20Speaker 2: man Iowa's offense, will still set time back. They hung
- 21:23Speaker 2: a big number up last week against a UMass team
- 21:26Speaker 2: and finally were able to show that they knew what
- 21:27Speaker 2: afford pass looks like. Rutgers getting two and a half?
- 21:31Speaker 2: Are you gonna get back on the Sun's train here?
- 21:33Speaker 2: Little State University, New Jersey.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Ah Many. I do think they're gonna win this. I
- 21:38Speaker 3: do think they're gonna win this ball game. I also
- 21:41Speaker 3: think it's probably gonna be pretty low scoring. You know,
- 21:44Speaker 3: both these teams want to play defense first, but Rutgers
- 21:47Speaker 3: offense has been a little bit better this year, so
- 21:51Speaker 3: I think this is a I think it's gonna be
- 21:54Speaker 3: a grind it out SoC them kind of game. So
- 21:58Speaker 3: if I'm doing anything, it's probably it probably would be Rutgers.
- 22:02Speaker 3: But I think probably the best line in this is
- 22:04Speaker 3: under forty five and a half.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Next one, I like Saturday as you got out there.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I'm gonna just go straight down this. I don't know.
- 22:11Speaker 2: I think this is rotation order. But North Texas is
- 22:13Speaker 2: traveling up to West Point to play Army send official play.
- 22:16Speaker 2: I'm gonna lay it with North Texas minus two and
- 22:18Speaker 2: a half. Here. This North Texas defense is a lot better.
- 22:21Speaker 2: It is very much improved. Offense is still extremely explosive.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Army's broken, They're missing Captain America Brice and Daily from
- 22:30Speaker 2: last year. I don't think this team's gonna probably finish
- 22:34Speaker 2: over five hundred. They've already lost to Tarlton State. This
- 22:36Speaker 2: goes to show you how bad Kansas State's in a way,
- 22:39Speaker 2: the fact that they lost this game anyway, I would
- 22:41Speaker 2: lay it with North Texas minus two and a half
- 22:43Speaker 2: in so won't be a game people will watch, but
- 22:45Speaker 2: I may split half a unit on that. Scotty. Let's
- 22:48Speaker 2: get to the iron skillet, Baby s Mu TCU. This
- 22:52Speaker 2: is an old rivalry game. This one's gonna be played
- 22:54Speaker 2: in Fort Worth Line here currently sploating around six and
- 22:57Speaker 2: a half to seven over under six sixty four and
- 23:00Speaker 2: a half. If you haven't gotten the chance to watch
- 23:03Speaker 2: TCU play yet, most people did because they saw it
- 23:05Speaker 2: that opening weekend when they played against North Carolina. Josh Hoover,
- 23:09Speaker 2: the quarterback at TCU, is awesome. I thought the kid
- 23:14Speaker 2: was gonna throw for over four thousand yards this year.
- 23:16Speaker 2: I still think that he will. SMU and Jennings to me,
- 23:20Speaker 2: is still kind of a mess. This team's zero to
- 23:23Speaker 2: three against the number, even though they're two and one.
- 23:26Speaker 2: They had that bad comeback loss that Baylor pulled out
- 23:28Speaker 2: of their ass a couple of weeks ago. I like
- 23:31Speaker 2: TCU to cover here, but.
- 23:32Speaker 3: I like I can get on board with that. Over
- 23:35Speaker 3: last four years, this has been the totals in these
- 23:38Speaker 3: ball games, one hundred and eight, sixty one, seventy six
- 23:44Speaker 3: and seventy six the last four years these teams have
- 23:47Speaker 3: played gidda up. I don't think that SMU defense is
- 23:50Speaker 3: very good either. I think it's gonna be a high
- 23:52Speaker 3: scored affair. Like TCU as well, I think they're gonna
- 23:55Speaker 3: win the ball game in cover. But I agree with you.
- 23:57Speaker 3: I think this is gonna be a high scoring affair.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Let's got two out. If you got two, you got
- 24:02Speaker 3: two offensive guys that like score points. That's a bottom one.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Absolutely, Absolutely, Scotty, we got a crust to this one.
- 24:08Speaker 2: We gotta cover this game. This could be your Mac
- 24:11Speaker 2: play of the week back in the summer. I think
- 24:13Speaker 2: it's Jeff Gillier. I maybe he mispronounced his name. Hit
- 24:16Speaker 2: us up on Twitter said he was looking forward to
- 24:19Speaker 2: hearing the breakdown of the September twentieth game. When the
- 24:22Speaker 2: UNLV running Rebels showed up in OX. What was he
- 24:25Speaker 2: calling it? Ox?
- 24:26Speaker 3: Miami.
- 24:28Speaker 2: You know in Miami to play in this game that
- 24:29Speaker 2: we've got here. Interesting line, baby, lines two and a
- 24:33Speaker 2: half to Miami Lion's Miami's oho and two at this
- 24:37Speaker 2: point in the season, but the Lion's coming down line
- 24:40Speaker 2: opened it four and a half. It's moving down. You
- 24:42Speaker 2: got a reverse line move. Is Miami Ohio gonna pull
- 24:45Speaker 2: up an upset against your boy? Dan Mullen, Oh, I
- 24:48Speaker 2: love it.
- 24:48Speaker 3: I'll tell you what. Look, he almost lost to Miami
- 24:51Speaker 3: at Mississippi State in a bowl game. Uh so uh
- 24:56Speaker 3: And and this is the same coaching staff. This UNLV
- 24:59Speaker 3: defense can't play dead. I mean it is a complete mess.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Dan shied to Buddy. Is the defensive coordinator not working out? Well? Yeah?
- 25:08Speaker 3: Give me the Red Hawks, baby, I think they got
- 25:10Speaker 3: a chance to win this ball game straight ups down
- 25:13Speaker 3: to two and a half. Come on, red Hawks the
- 25:15Speaker 3: max look good. They've pulled off some upsets. Can this
- 25:19Speaker 3: be another one? This is the team that, honestly, preseason
- 25:22Speaker 3: we thought was gonna be the group of six representatives?
- 25:25Speaker 3: Was n l V? I think we both did. And
- 25:27Speaker 3: and at the end of the day, I ain't Miami's
- 25:29Speaker 3: about to get a w this weekend. This is gonna
- 25:31Speaker 3: be a great game. Uh. They're gonna have to play really,
- 25:35Speaker 3: really well to win this football game. Long trip, uh,
- 25:39Speaker 3: and it ain't like you're flying direct land Oxford. You're
- 25:41Speaker 3: gonna land and you're gonna land in northern Kentucky and
- 25:44Speaker 3: make the sled up to Oxford if you're if you're
- 25:46Speaker 3: mulling or landing dating and make the drive over. So
- 25:50Speaker 3: I think this is a great opportunity. That Miami offense
- 25:53Speaker 3: is bad and it hadn't been able to score points,
- 25:56Speaker 3: but this this UNLB defense is equally bad. I think
- 25:59Speaker 3: they're gonna be good enough on offense this week because
- 26:03Speaker 3: how bad that UNLV defense is to give them a
- 26:06Speaker 3: shot to win this game.
- 26:08Speaker 2: That's fantastic, Scottie. Let's get this one going BYU. The
- 26:12Speaker 2: boys in special underwear traveling all the way across the
- 26:15Speaker 2: country playing East Carolina again. Another spot that's hard to
- 26:19Speaker 2: get to from Provo, Utah. Lying here is six and
- 26:22Speaker 2: a half over unders forty nine and a half. Give
- 26:26Speaker 2: me the East Carolina Pirates. This team scoring thirty seven
- 26:29Speaker 2: points a game, only giving up nine. I like this
- 26:32Speaker 2: squad here. I think they're live dog in this spot.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Wouldn't surprise me at all if we can get this
- 26:37Speaker 2: thing to pop all the way to a seven. But
- 26:40Speaker 2: let's not forget man, this is the two time zone trap.
- 26:42Speaker 2: You're coming from the Mountain time zone all the way
- 26:45Speaker 2: to the East coast. Long trip, long trip for these kids.
- 26:50Speaker 2: And again I'm still not one hundred percent bought in
- 26:52Speaker 2: on by and you. But give me East Carolina plus
- 26:55Speaker 2: six and a half in this one.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Got this thing earlier in the week on Sunday at
- 26:58Speaker 3: seven and a half. Yes, baby, I think again, that's
- 27:03Speaker 3: we're talking long travel. I think this is a I
- 27:06Speaker 3: think this is exactly one of these situations ECU kind
- 27:11Speaker 3: of you know, got the new coaching staff in there.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Let's see, let's see how this shakes out. I like it.
- 27:17Speaker 3: I think the pirates are gonna get after it this weekend.
- 27:20Speaker 2: All right, another game, we got big state rivalry, Florida
- 27:23Speaker 2: versus Miami. Florida is getting seven and a half points
- 27:26Speaker 2: in this one over Unders at fifty and a half.
- 27:29Speaker 2: These two teams have a common opponent in University of
- 27:32Speaker 2: South Florida. You had South Florida who went into Gainesville
- 27:37Speaker 2: and while the University of Florida was playing with their
- 27:39Speaker 2: food pulled a giant upset and then had to turn
- 27:42Speaker 2: around and come down and play the University of Miami
- 27:44Speaker 2: last week, where they just got fucking splattered on the
- 27:48Speaker 2: road out there.
- 27:49Speaker 1: You had a lot of doubt.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Around this Miami team with this summer. People thought Carson
- 27:54Speaker 2: Beck was kind of a waste. Wasn't sure he was
- 27:56Speaker 2: going to get things done. But I'll tell you what, dude,
- 27:59Speaker 2: if you've watched Miami play, this is one of the
- 28:01Speaker 2: top five teams in the country as far as I'm
- 28:03Speaker 2: concerned right now. They got some swagger, kind of physicality
- 28:07Speaker 2: on the trench on both sides of the ball. And
- 28:09Speaker 2: this Florida team has not looked good at all defensively. Man,
- 28:14Speaker 2: they have tried to keep them in games. But I
- 28:16Speaker 2: kind of wonder last week with LSU and thus being
- 28:20Speaker 2: hurt if that was part of the reason we didn't
- 28:23Speaker 2: get some of the explosion that one lagway through five interceptions.
- 28:26Speaker 2: I said this early on, the kid reminds me of
- 28:30Speaker 2: Vince Young. The long ball he's lived off of that.
- 28:33Speaker 2: They've got tape on him now. He throws off his
- 28:35Speaker 2: front foot and that's the reason he was sailing balls
- 28:38Speaker 2: in the under. You know in those fifteen and under
- 28:41Speaker 2: range that he was having trouble hitting on those outrightes.
- 28:43Speaker 2: We watched this gid. I played this kid in high school. Man,
- 28:45Speaker 2: I know what I'm talking about, and I think he's awesome.
- 28:47Speaker 2: But I think Miami is going to just ask stump
- 28:50Speaker 2: these guys. There's no reason to take your foot off
- 28:52Speaker 2: the gas because you're not just fighting for the win here,
- 28:55Speaker 2: you're fighting for recruiting battles. Everything's going to be going
- 28:58Speaker 2: on this game. It is going to be in Saturday night.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Not at the old they'll be, but at the hard
- 29:04Speaker 2: wrecked stadium in Miami. I think give me the you baby,
- 29:07Speaker 2: lay it down. You might have seven and a half.
- 29:09Speaker 3: I to you, is going to absolutely crush Florida. There's
- 29:16Speaker 3: a lot of reasons, but at the end of the day,
- 29:20Speaker 3: this Miami offensive and defensive line is the difference in
- 29:23Speaker 3: this In this team versus lab Beck's playing at a
- 29:26Speaker 3: pretty high level. Uh and and look, but they got
- 29:28Speaker 3: high level quarterback play last year. What I think they're
- 29:31Speaker 3: getting better this year is play at the line of scrimmage.
- 29:35Speaker 3: And at the end of the day, I just think
- 29:37Speaker 3: Florida's got a brutal got a brutal road. I just
- 29:40Speaker 3: don't think they're that good of a football team. Florida's
- 29:44Speaker 3: gonna be looking for a new football coach and it
- 29:47Speaker 3: might be happening at the end of May, so interesting.
- 29:52Speaker 3: I mean end of September, so it may be happening now.
- 29:55Speaker 3: So it's gonna be interesting what happens with the Gators
- 29:58Speaker 3: after they get pounded and in Miami this week, this.
- 30:02Speaker 2: One, I'd be surprised if Miami did embarrass these guys,
- 30:05Speaker 2: to be honest, with these oh Man Syracuse traveling down
- 30:08Speaker 2: to Clemson on the heels of a Dabbo meltdown line
- 30:12Speaker 2: seventeen and a half over under fifty five and a half.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Clemson wanted two straight up zero to three against the
- 30:19Speaker 2: number Syracuse Fran brown Man the for animal, getting it
- 30:23Speaker 2: done with the transfer quarterback in from Notre Dame. This
- 30:27Speaker 2: team's won one and one against the number Scotty in
- 30:30Speaker 2: this ACC matchup, where we seeing a Clemson bounce back,
- 30:33Speaker 2: laying you're gonna have to score three touchdowns here to
- 30:36Speaker 2: win this one. Baby, Are they gonna be able to
- 30:38Speaker 2: cover this number?
- 30:39Speaker 3: I don't think they're gonna cover the number. Look man,
- 30:42Speaker 3: at this point as broken as that offense is. I mean,
- 30:46Speaker 3: until they explode and they get they get the training
- 30:49Speaker 3: wheels off this offense, they're ain't gonna be in danger
- 30:51Speaker 3: of losing every football game. I mean, they could have
- 30:54Speaker 3: easily lost that game to Troy. Remember, and this is
- 30:59Speaker 3: this is critical. This is now their third home game
- 31:05Speaker 3: and they're one and two. So at the end of
- 31:10Speaker 3: the day, it's not like we're learning that Georgia Tech's
- 31:13Speaker 3: not a phenomenal football team, because, as we saw in
- 31:17Speaker 3: Houston last week, a lot of issues out in Bolder too.
- 31:21Speaker 3: And I just am not convinced that Clemson is a
- 31:24Speaker 3: very good football team. You're gonna give me almost three
- 31:27Speaker 3: touchdowns against a team I do believe Tennessee is a
- 31:31Speaker 3: good football team and this is a team that can
- 31:33Speaker 3: play with them. Oh, I think Syracuse stays in this number. Easy,
- 31:37Speaker 3: give me the orange, baby, give me the seventeen and
- 31:40Speaker 3: a half.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Man. I wish we were at the Carrier Dough with
- 31:43Speaker 2: all those fucking mouth breathers going crazy in there. I'd
- 31:46Speaker 2: be so excited. Oh goodness, Illinois, Indiana. This is a
- 31:50Speaker 2: big game of the Big Tids. You know, this is
- 31:52Speaker 2: the first time these two teams have ever played each
- 31:54Speaker 2: other and been ranked in the I have never played
- 31:58Speaker 2: each other when they have both been at the same time.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Illinois is getting six points over under here is fifty
- 32:04Speaker 2: two and a half. Both of these teams are three
- 32:07Speaker 2: and oh. Illinois's three and oh against the number, Indiana's
- 32:10Speaker 2: two and one against the number. Obviously, Indiana was the
- 32:13Speaker 2: team that took everybody by storm last year. Old Signetti
- 32:16Speaker 2: kirks inside likes to play that offense. How about last
- 32:20Speaker 2: week when he's just pulling Mendoza's out of the cotton
- 32:23Speaker 2: fields and putting them on the out there on the field,
- 32:26Speaker 2: He's got both the Mendoza brothers playing quarterback for him.
- 32:29Speaker 2: A couple things, Man, let me break it down for you.
- 32:31Speaker 2: What you got here, Illinois, I think is the play
- 32:34Speaker 2: here at plus six. I think this team is a
- 32:35Speaker 2: complete live dog to win the game. Here's why I
- 32:38Speaker 2: like this team. They play a shit ton of man defense,
- 32:41Speaker 2: and they're gonna play a lot of man in this game,
- 32:43Speaker 2: trust me. And they are going to blitz the balls
- 32:46Speaker 2: off of Indiana in this spot. Illinois blitz is at
- 32:49Speaker 2: about a thirty percent rate on average. One thing, if
- 32:52Speaker 2: you go back and looking for Nanda Mendoza this year,
- 32:54Speaker 2: anytime he's been blitzed, he hasn't performed as well. He
- 32:58Speaker 2: needs a clean pocket to perform like he has. He
- 33:01Speaker 2: did a little bit better than last year. Cal went
- 33:03Speaker 2: back and looked at those stats two on PFF, but
- 33:06Speaker 2: this year he hasn't performed as well. And then on
- 33:08Speaker 2: the flip side, Indiana they run zone defense at almost
- 33:12Speaker 2: all the time. It's one of the lowest blitzing teams
- 33:14Speaker 2: in the country. So look for Alkmeyer to have a
- 33:17Speaker 2: clean pocket most of the time when he's out there.
- 33:19Speaker 2: I think he's gonna be able to pick this team apart.
- 33:21Speaker 2: They run a shit ton of Cover three. It's the
- 33:23Speaker 2: most most coverage that they run, is what Indiana is.
- 33:27Speaker 2: And I look for Alkmyer to be, you know, the
- 33:29Speaker 2: older quarterback in this game, more experienced. This is a
- 33:32Speaker 2: big game for these guys on the road. You're giving
- 33:35Speaker 2: me six points. I think Illinois played. It's on the
- 33:38Speaker 2: money line, but give me the six. I may even
- 33:41Speaker 2: look and see if I can wait and get a seven.
- 33:42Speaker 2: But I think Illinois wins this game straight up.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:45Speaker 3: I think they are absolutely one hundred percent of live dog.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Illinois is a good football team that you know we're
- 33:52Speaker 3: talking about. We're talking about schedules. Look, that's a nice
- 33:55Speaker 3: that's a nice road road win at Duke. Even though
- 33:58Speaker 3: Duke is struggling a little bit, this is not their
- 34:00Speaker 3: first tough road game, which is what you run into
- 34:03Speaker 3: a lot of times early in the season. This is
- 34:05Speaker 3: not a young and inexperienced team. We talked about them
- 34:07Speaker 3: having more players back than pretty much anybody in the country.
- 34:11Speaker 3: This is a team that's been together, feeling but believes
- 34:15Speaker 3: in this team, I think this is gonna be a
- 34:18Speaker 3: humdinger of a football game. And I just think this
- 34:20Speaker 3: is too many points. But they are one hundred percent
- 34:23Speaker 3: of live dog Love it.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Next game, I want to go to Texas Tech traveling
- 34:29Speaker 2: to Utah. This game's played at Rice ecle Stayum. Big
- 34:32Speaker 2: New kickoff will be at this one, so this one'll
- 34:34Speaker 2: kick off about eleven fifteen Central time, which is interesting.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Why I bring this up because if Utah got screwed
- 34:42Speaker 2: in this game, in my opinion, by getting Big New
- 34:44Speaker 2: kickoff and then then wanting to back it right up
- 34:46Speaker 2: to the show, because now they're kicking off at ten
- 34:48Speaker 2: to fifteen body clock time, and I think that completely
- 34:51Speaker 2: ruins your home field advantage when you're in this spot,
- 34:55Speaker 2: especially when you're going to altitude. One thing I will
- 34:57Speaker 2: tell you, though, I did look this up. Texas use
- 35:00Speaker 2: Tech stadiums at thirty two hundred and sixty feet elevation.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Rice Echles Stadium is about forty seven hundred feet, So
- 35:08Speaker 2: you're not going quite from Houston into Utah as far
- 35:11Speaker 2: as dealing with the elevation change, so it may not
- 35:13Speaker 2: be that big of a factor. But the one thing
- 35:16Speaker 2: I like about Texas Tech, I've said this before, and
- 35:18Speaker 2: I don't think the country's caught up to him yet.
- 35:20Speaker 2: The defensive front for Texas Tech is they've got five
- 35:24Speaker 2: guys that are all going to be in the NFL,
- 35:26Speaker 2: the four down lineman and Rodriguez the linebacker in that spot.
- 35:29Speaker 2: The first team defense for Texas Tech has not given
- 35:32Speaker 2: up a point yet this season. They haven't played anybody
- 35:35Speaker 2: that's that good, but the fact that they've kept pitch
- 35:38Speaker 2: three shutouts when they've been on the field other than
- 35:40Speaker 2: lake garbage touchdowns is pretty impressive to me. You've got
- 35:43Speaker 2: a Utah team here that wants to run the ball.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Devin Dan Pierre, the guy is fantastic But now that
- 35:50Speaker 2: we start to wonder, is is that big win that
- 35:52Speaker 2: they had over Ucla as impressive as I thought it
- 35:55Speaker 2: was in week one? Because Ucla has turned into be
- 35:58Speaker 2: a complete dumpster fire. But that look for this game
- 36:01Speaker 2: to be extremely physical. But I think Texas Tech has
- 36:04Speaker 2: got a little bit too much for these guys. And
- 36:06Speaker 2: I think this is gonna be where Texas Tech has
- 36:08Speaker 2: their coming out moment and then the country starts to
- 36:10Speaker 2: look up and say, maybe all that money spent's finally
- 36:13Speaker 2: going to get them there. Give me the Raiders plus
- 36:15Speaker 2: three and we'll take them on the money line.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Look, I'm gonna tell you I think Tech. I think
- 36:20Speaker 3: Tech is a live dog. You said it. How impressive
- 36:23Speaker 3: is that win?
- 36:24Speaker 2: Now?
- 36:25Speaker 3: I think the critical thing in this ball game, Utah's
- 36:29Speaker 3: got to get out to a league. They can't let
- 36:31Speaker 3: Tech get out in front of them because that Tech
- 36:34Speaker 3: defense is better and this offense isn't made to play
- 36:37Speaker 3: from behind. My book's got it at three and a
- 36:39Speaker 3: half again, love it. Think Tech is a live dog.
- 36:42Speaker 3: In case you can't see it, you got a chance
- 36:44Speaker 3: to make some money if you pick the right games
- 36:47Speaker 3: as you gamble on on these money line underdogs, because
- 36:49Speaker 3: I think there's some live dogs out there, I really do.
- 36:52Speaker 3: I think this is one of them. Nothing against you
- 36:55Speaker 3: all think they're a good team, but I think Tech
- 36:57Speaker 3: is one of the very best teams in this league,
- 37:00Speaker 3: although I think Utah is not far from it. I
- 37:01Speaker 3: think it's a great game early in the year. Too
- 37:04Speaker 3: many points, but I think Tech from what I've seen
- 37:07Speaker 3: early in this season looks like the better football team.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Next game I want to go to Scotty is interesting.
- 37:14Speaker 2: We're going to Magnolia State two lane traveling up to
- 37:17Speaker 2: play Old Miss. And if there is an injury, and
- 37:20Speaker 2: I'm putting this out there to the Twitter verse, if
- 37:22Speaker 2: there's an injury on this two lane team, we don't
- 37:25Speaker 2: know about hit us up on this because this line
- 37:27Speaker 2: was eleven and a half. It's moved up to thirteen
- 37:29Speaker 2: and a half or two lane in this spot. And
- 37:32Speaker 2: then you've got Old Miss and you don't even know
- 37:33Speaker 2: who's going to play quarterback in this game because you
- 37:35Speaker 2: don't know if Austin Simmons is going to play or
- 37:37Speaker 2: if he's going to roll out the kid that was
- 37:39Speaker 2: the transfer from D two Farris State. This is still
- 37:42Speaker 2: a really young Old Miss team. What you got on
- 37:45Speaker 2: this one.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Scotty Man, I'm with you, unless unless the quarterback oft
- 37:50Speaker 3: by you from BYU's not playing this week, then I
- 37:54Speaker 3: think this is going to be a humdinger of a
- 37:56Speaker 3: ball game. The Rebels just had a dog fight in
- 38:00Speaker 3: a late ball game against Arkansas and they got. Arguably,
- 38:06Speaker 3: there are Old miss fans that will tell you LSU
- 38:09Speaker 3: is their biggest rival. So it ain't like they don't
- 38:11Speaker 3: have a huge ballgame on deck. Yes, Kiffin knows this
- 38:16Speaker 3: is a talented football team. Yes they're not gonna sleep
- 38:19Speaker 3: walk through this game. This ain't gonna be Old missus
- 38:22Speaker 3: A plus effort either. You got Kentucky, Arkansas, Tulane, LSU.
- 38:29Speaker 3: You think they're gonna come out biting nails Saturday? Your nuts?
- 38:32Speaker 3: Zach Depposite for the Green Wave. This team is gonna
- 38:36Speaker 3: rally the troops because you have got a bunch of
- 38:39Speaker 3: kids that would have killed to play for State or
- 38:41Speaker 3: Old Miss. A lot of Mississippi kids on this roster,
- 38:45Speaker 3: lot of kids from Louisiana. They're gonna come up and
- 38:48Speaker 3: swing for the fence in Oxford. Are they good enough
- 38:53Speaker 3: to do it? I don't think they're good enough to
- 38:55Speaker 3: win the ball game. But I ain't there good enough
- 38:58Speaker 3: to scare the heck out of the Rebels that's already
- 39:00Speaker 3: I ain't gis numbers going the wrong way unless there's
- 39:02Speaker 3: an injury I just haven't been able to find, which
- 39:05Speaker 3: is entirely possible because Vegas knows about him. But at
- 39:08Speaker 3: the end of the day, as long as that quarterback
- 39:10Speaker 3: can play, I think it's going to be a really,
- 39:12Speaker 3: really good ball game on Saturday.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:15Speaker 2: The one thing I really like about this is the
- 39:17Speaker 2: offense this year. You know, with with Ret's Lap in there,
- 39:21Speaker 2: the offense for two lane is a lot different than
- 39:23Speaker 2: when Daryl Minson was in there last year because Mensa
- 39:25Speaker 2: can't really run. Roth's lap has proved that he's not
- 39:28Speaker 2: scared to run the ball, and I really think that
- 39:30Speaker 2: it maybe see let me ask you, this is your
- 39:32Speaker 2: opinion this. I think he got into camp so late
- 39:36Speaker 2: because of what went on at BYU that I think
- 39:39Speaker 2: some are all has just kind of like simplified the
- 39:41Speaker 2: playbook for him, and it's like, hey, Kip, go be
- 39:44Speaker 2: an athlete, you know, go out there and do something
- 39:47Speaker 2: for us. Because he's running the ball. He's looked comfortable
- 39:50Speaker 2: in this thing. But yeah, I'm all on two lane
- 39:53Speaker 2: this one. I'm hoping to get a fourteen. I don't
- 39:55Speaker 2: know that we will, but I think Tulane is live
- 39:58Speaker 2: and this one, this is a class. I mean, think
- 40:00Speaker 2: about Old Miss. They should have lost the almost lost
- 40:03Speaker 2: to Kentucky probably could have and then Arkansas and then
- 40:07Speaker 2: Arkansas last week easily could have lost that game.
- 40:10Speaker 3: They should have lost that ball game.
- 40:12Speaker 2: And then you've got LSU on deck next weekend, which
- 40:15Speaker 2: everybody in Old Miss knows about that game. And then
- 40:18Speaker 2: you've got lowly old two lane rolling in and their
- 40:21Speaker 2: powder blues and greens in this one that no one's
- 40:24Speaker 2: thinking about. I guarantee you two lane plus thirteen and
- 40:28Speaker 2: a half love it.
- 40:30Speaker 3: I love it, and I'll tell you this. I will
- 40:32Speaker 3: say this. I do think their quarterback, I really do.
- 40:36Speaker 3: I think the backup kid came in and played phenomenal
- 40:39Speaker 3: and his ability to run the football. Maybe it's because
- 40:41Speaker 3: he's healthy and Simmons hadn't been healthy, but man, his
- 40:44Speaker 3: ability to go. He looked more like a Jackson Dart
- 40:48Speaker 3: in that ball game. Now wasn't just one game and
- 40:50Speaker 3: adrenaline and he's fired up and he's at home. We'll
- 40:54Speaker 3: see but he certainly looked He certainly looked good on
- 40:58Speaker 3: Saturday night. So but I just think this is such
- 41:01Speaker 3: a sandwich spot. These kids are nineteen and twenty years old.
- 41:05Speaker 3: We talk about it every year, we talk about sandwich game.
- 41:10Speaker 3: Know where they're going to be ready to play boom here.
- 41:13Speaker 3: It is just I'm right on the money. Here comes Tulane,
- 41:19Speaker 3: who's a really good football team, who might be the
- 41:21Speaker 3: best group of sixteen. And let's not forget they got
- 41:24Speaker 3: a great football coach. I mean a really really good
- 41:28Speaker 3: football coach, and who candidly should have had a couple
- 41:32Speaker 3: of Power five jobs most likely, and just barely missed
- 41:36Speaker 3: out on a couple when he was at Troy same
- 41:38Speaker 3: time he was taken. I don't one job he missed
- 41:40Speaker 3: out on simply because he had just taken the Tulane
- 41:44Speaker 3: job and wasn't in a position to leave literally four
- 41:49Speaker 3: or five days afterward. The guy's a really good football
- 41:54Speaker 3: coach too. I think some are all is great. I
- 41:56Speaker 3: ain't Kiffin knows all of that. There's a reason he
- 41:58Speaker 3: addressed it in the locker room with his football team
- 42:03Speaker 3: the second that game was over. He knows this is
- 42:05Speaker 3: a good football team, but I just think this is
- 42:08Speaker 3: a flat spot. That's a bottom line.
- 42:11Speaker 2: No, I'd agree for you. And the fact that this
- 42:13Speaker 2: is a two thirty afternoon game, I think actually benefits
- 42:15Speaker 2: too late as well, that they're not in the night
- 42:17Speaker 2: and Grove, let's stay right there in that same part
- 42:20Speaker 2: of the country, Scutty, let's travel just a little bit
- 42:23Speaker 2: up north from Oxford, Mississippi, and let that into Scooby
- 42:28Speaker 2: Doo goes down Memphis, Tennessee, where the University of Arkansas
- 42:33Speaker 2: Razorbacks are coming in here on the road, laying seven
- 42:36Speaker 2: and a half against this team from Memphis, This Arkansas team,
- 42:40Speaker 2: say what you want, man Taylor Green. Being under Bobby
- 42:42Speaker 2: Patrino in his second year, we've seen a massive uptick.
- 42:46Speaker 2: I actually went back and looked everywhere Patrino's been second
- 42:50Speaker 2: year with his offense, you've seen much better quarterback play
- 42:52Speaker 2: if the quarterbacks returned, and you're seeing it this year
- 42:55Speaker 2: with this Arkansas team. This is an Arkansas team that
- 42:58Speaker 2: just had to go down the Little Rock to play
- 43:01Speaker 2: Loleo Arkansas State, which they beat the dog out of.
- 43:04Speaker 2: We talked about it, we took it here, and but
- 43:07Speaker 2: they still had to get up for that game. And
- 43:08Speaker 2: then they turn around and they play you know, old
- 43:11Speaker 2: Miss last week in a game they probably could have won,
- 43:14Speaker 2: but they couldn't pull it off. They got Memphis and
- 43:18Speaker 2: they have to go to Memphis this week and then
- 43:21Speaker 2: guess what they get to come home? And who is
- 43:23Speaker 2: coming to fatble next week? But the fighting Irish. Maybe
- 43:27Speaker 2: there is no way on earth Arkansas is gonna be
- 43:32Speaker 2: up for this game. We talked about this this summer.
- 43:34Speaker 2: I was hoping this line would be closer to ten.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Give me Memphis plus seven and a half. I love it.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Yep, same thing my book right now. As got it
- 43:43Speaker 3: at eight and a half. The same deal eight and
- 43:46Speaker 3: a half. Arkansas, Man, they're gonna play flat They got
- 43:51Speaker 3: a Notre Dame coming in next week? Are you kidding me?
- 43:55Speaker 3: Here comes Memphis in the Liberty Bowl. This will have
- 44:00Speaker 3: slightly more people than the Rose Bowl will have in it.
- 44:03Speaker 3: I mean it is. This has got flat spot written
- 44:08Speaker 3: all over it, I mean all over it. And the
- 44:12Speaker 3: Hogs maybe in trouble that this is another team that
- 44:17Speaker 3: could be a live dog this weekend. I'm not gonna
- 44:20Speaker 3: take them on the money line, I am, because Green
- 44:23Speaker 3: has been good. But Arkansas may be in trouble. This
- 44:26Speaker 3: comes gonna be This game's gonna be a four or
- 44:29Speaker 3: five point game, is what it feels like to me.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Oh man, I so hope at halftime they end up
- 44:34Speaker 2: like they do at the Liberty Bowl and they have
- 44:36Speaker 2: some band that comes up and played from this.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Wouldn't it be great? This game's at eleven am. I
- 44:46Speaker 3: can talk about why Arkansas is gonna play flat in
- 44:48Speaker 3: this game for ten minutes, but at the end of
- 44:51Speaker 3: the day they are not gonna play their A plus game.
- 44:54Speaker 3: This sets up bad. You're getting points with a home dog.
- 44:58Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 45:00Speaker 2: You think they're driving.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Maybe, I mean, looking in that far, I mean, it
- 45:05Speaker 3: really isn't. But you know it's this is I'm telling
- 45:10Speaker 3: you that. Look, if Arkansas covers this, it is gonna
- 45:13Speaker 3: be more because Memphis plays terrible than Arkan than about
- 45:17Speaker 3: Arkansas playing well.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Oh my god, Hang, I'm trying to see how far
- 45:22Speaker 2: this is.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Its two hours two hours to Little Rock, hence another
- 45:27Speaker 3: one for three hours to fay so about five hours.
- 45:31Speaker 2: It's four and a half hours if you drive from
- 45:33Speaker 2: Fayetteville into Memphis. So I'm assuming they're flying, But yeah,
- 45:37Speaker 2: I would love to find out that they're busting it,
- 45:39Speaker 2: but I can't imagine it. SEC teams can give me
- 45:41Speaker 2: the Memphis Tigers plus seven and a half. Baby next game,
- 45:45Speaker 2: Scott Michigan traveling down to Nebraska. You could argue this
- 45:49Speaker 2: will be one of Nebraska's biggest games at home that
- 45:51Speaker 2: they've had in a long long time. This is Matt
- 45:54Speaker 2: Ruling year three, Michigan coming down here. We saw this
- 45:57Speaker 2: team a few weeks ago go down in the University
- 45:59Speaker 2: of oklahre Homa. Bryce Underwood obviously being a true freshman
- 46:03Speaker 2: still I think he's getting pretty great, but Venables was
- 46:06Speaker 2: able to confuse him with some of the things that
- 46:08Speaker 2: we saw on the defensive front from there. Nebraska. On
- 46:11Speaker 2: the flip side of this game, Dylan Raola has looked better,
- 46:15Speaker 2: much improved after having a year under his belt. They're
- 46:18Speaker 2: able to run the ball now, they're starting to look physical.
- 46:21Speaker 2: I like what you've gotten this one. Let's not forget
- 46:24Speaker 2: that Sharon Moore is not coaching this game. He's suspended.
- 46:27Speaker 2: And if you were wondering where Biff Pokey is now,
- 46:30Speaker 2: the coach from Charlotte last year, Yep, he's the interim
- 46:33Speaker 2: coach in this game on Saturday, and he cannot come
- 46:36Speaker 2: out wearing shorts with a homemade tank top in this game. Here,
- 46:41Speaker 2: they've asked him to make sure he has to be
- 46:43Speaker 2: dressed for this one. But I like Nebraska in this one.
- 46:46Speaker 2: I think Nebraska is a one hundred percent live dog
- 46:49Speaker 2: in this spot. I think the fan base is going
- 46:52Speaker 2: to be going nuts. It's going to be a very
- 46:54Speaker 2: difficult environment to play in. Now. The one thing I
- 46:57Speaker 2: will say is that Nebraska looked a lot looser offen
- 47:00Speaker 2: to play call in last week with with Underwood in
- 47:03Speaker 2: there and with Poge coaching rather than Sean Moore, and
- 47:05Speaker 2: so I kind of wonder what you're gonna get from
- 47:07Speaker 2: this standpoint. But this is a much improved Nebraska team.
- 47:10Speaker 2: I think Nebraska pulls the upset at home. Give me
- 47:13Speaker 2: the corn Baby plus two and a half.
- 47:16Speaker 3: I agree with you. I think look two of the
- 47:20Speaker 3: all time legendary programs. I mean, can you imagine getting
- 47:23Speaker 3: this game in the eighties more? I mean, oh, it
- 47:29Speaker 3: been awesome. I mean it depended every TV set would
- 47:33Speaker 3: have been on. You know, It's all that would anybody
- 47:35Speaker 3: would have talked about, you know, to a long time programs,
- 47:39Speaker 3: big brands in the in the sport especially for guys
- 47:42Speaker 3: that are older. There's people that are twenty five years
- 47:46Speaker 3: old listening to this and be like these are big brands. Yeah,
- 47:51Speaker 3: like what, but this is such a great game from
- 47:53Speaker 3: a from an old school guy like me, God, what
- 47:56Speaker 3: a great game this is gonna be. But I agree
- 47:58Speaker 3: with you. I think Nebraska. I like underdog, live dog.
- 48:01Speaker 3: This is one of my money line plays this week.
- 48:04Speaker 3: I like the Huskers. It's this is setting up well
- 48:07Speaker 3: for them, gonna be a close game win. Are they
- 48:09Speaker 3: gonna get over the hump? I think that Cincinnati game
- 48:12Speaker 3: might have given them a little bit of confidence getting
- 48:14Speaker 3: over the hump in a close game, and because they
- 48:17Speaker 3: figured out how to win that game. Cincinnati's not bad.
- 48:20Speaker 3: That's not a bad football team. And I like Nebraska.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Here at home gonna be a great atmosphere and Lincoln
- 48:26Speaker 3: like it always is. Give me the Huskers, baby underdog.
- 48:30Speaker 3: This is such a great week of football. I mean, look,
- 48:33Speaker 3: and it gets better next week. For those of us
- 48:35Speaker 3: that hadn't looked at the schedule. Next week, holy smokes,
- 48:38Speaker 3: there's some great games and you got the Ryder Cup
- 48:41Speaker 3: on top of it. Guy, it's gonna be a lot
- 48:42Speaker 3: of fun next couple of weeks.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Yeah, if you've got a girlfriend or a wife, whatever,
- 48:47Speaker 2: next week, I would highly recommend getting the citer Thursday
- 48:51Speaker 2: Friday and taking them out because Saturday you're just gonna
- 48:53Speaker 2: want to put your seat belt on. Get you a
- 48:55Speaker 2: little cooler. I might even put a catheter in so
- 48:58Speaker 2: I don't have to get up, just sit there, piss
- 49:00Speaker 2: right on myself. Man, I don't even care. Oh goodness,
- 49:03Speaker 2: grazy Scotty. Let's get another road trip, another road trip Nerds,
- 49:08Speaker 2: Stanford Nerds, the trees heading all the way out to Uba.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Play these guys out here. Uba La is fifteen and
- 49:15Speaker 2: a half over undering this one's forty nine and a half.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Uba is surprising me. Man, they're two and one straight
- 49:20Speaker 2: up in two and one against the number Stanford with
- 49:23Speaker 2: that big upset win over Boston College last week. But
- 49:25Speaker 2: they're still one and two and one and two against
- 49:27Speaker 2: the number Scotty. Travel game. We're gonna go with our
- 49:31Speaker 2: We're gonna go with their gut here and lay it
- 49:33Speaker 2: with the wos.
- 49:34Speaker 3: E guess I'm going with the who's. There's no chance
- 49:37Speaker 3: Stanford's gonna come out. I was hoping this is gonna
- 49:39Speaker 3: be an eleven o'clock kickoff's not it's a late kickoff,
- 49:42Speaker 3: but it doesn't matter. There's still a long trip for
- 49:44Speaker 3: a not good football team. I don't think Stanford's any good.
- 49:48Speaker 3: That would game last week doesn't make me feel any
- 49:50Speaker 3: better about them. I think it was all about when
- 49:52Speaker 3: that game was played and where it was played. I
- 49:55Speaker 3: think Virginia is a good football team. Their only loss
- 49:58Speaker 3: is what I would call a really good loss to
- 50:00Speaker 3: what's turning out to be a pretty good NC State team.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Had a barn burner football game, and they had every
- 50:05Speaker 3: chance to win it. So I out, Yes, I love
- 50:07Speaker 3: Virginia here laying the points, laying a big number. We've
- 50:10Speaker 3: taken tons of dogs this week. We're gonna lay a
- 50:12Speaker 3: big number here. Thank Stanford comes over, rolls over and
- 50:15Speaker 3: plays dead. Think Virginia gets an easy cover.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Now I completely agree with you. I'm with you. I'm
- 50:22Speaker 2: excited about this one play at one unit and do
- 50:24Speaker 2: it got the next game, I want to get to
- 50:26Speaker 2: a missoo lay intent against South Carolina. This South Carolina
- 50:31Speaker 2: team has proven to be exactly what I thought they
- 50:33Speaker 2: were gonna be. Week. On the defense, they've got a
- 50:36Speaker 2: freak that plays defensive end and a freak that plays
- 50:39Speaker 2: wide receiver. Leonora Sellers got knocked out last week, Luke Dody,
- 50:43Speaker 2: I didn't even know that dude was still in school,
- 50:45Speaker 2: to be honest with you. Came in off the pitch.
- 50:48Speaker 2: Maybe they're gonna blow out Air Nolan? Wasn't it South
- 50:50Speaker 2: Carolina a couple of years ago? Was was Air Nolan
- 50:53Speaker 2: the manager that they suited up and started for a game?
- 50:56Speaker 2: Or yes?
- 50:58Speaker 3: I think that is right. I think you think you
- 51:00Speaker 3: are right.
- 51:01Speaker 2: I'd have to look that up South Carolina. Two things
- 51:04Speaker 2: you'll never forget. Number one, they suited up a manager
- 51:06Speaker 2: for a college football game. And number two, I think
- 51:09Speaker 2: it was Gerald McIntyre junior and Gerald McIntyre were both
- 51:13Speaker 2: defensive tackles at South Carolina who found out that they
- 51:17Speaker 2: were half brothers when they showed up for camp as freshman.
- 51:20Speaker 3: You remember that story, Yes, I don't. I'll never forget
- 51:23Speaker 3: that story. That'd somebody tell me that was not true?
- 51:25Speaker 3: Off line, I was like, get your phone out, so
- 51:28Speaker 3: we're about to get up. We're about to learn a
- 51:29Speaker 3: lesson here. They're likely.
- 51:33Speaker 2: That's so awesome. This is Scott Dinson. Oh so am
- 51:36Speaker 2: I that's fantastic. Anyway, moving on, uh, the Zoo has
- 51:41Speaker 2: looked damn good from jump. This is a team I
- 51:45Speaker 2: took a flyer on them to win the SEC because
- 51:47Speaker 2: their schedule sets up pretty easily. And I think if
- 51:53Speaker 2: you're sitting there and you're an upper if you're in
- 51:56Speaker 2: Upper state Pennsylvania and you're kind of scratching your head
- 51:58Speaker 2: wondering did we left the wrong guy go? Because this guy,
- 52:02Speaker 2: Forbulah has looked fantastic in this offense, defense has stepped up.
- 52:07Speaker 2: They're only giving up fifteen points a game. I don't
- 52:09Speaker 2: know what you're gonna get from South Carolina in the
- 52:11Speaker 2: Battle of Columbia.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Is give me mazou baby.
- 52:14Speaker 2: I think they are going to thump South Cakilaki in
- 52:17Speaker 2: the spot.
- 52:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree with you. I think at the end
- 52:21Speaker 3: of the day, I just don't think South Carolina is
- 52:22Speaker 3: that good. And I hate that because I think Biemer
- 52:25Speaker 3: is a good dude. The question is Bieber gonna beat
- 52:27Speaker 3: the Virginia Tech coach. I think he wins enough ball games.
- 52:31Speaker 3: He went if he can figure out how to win
- 52:33Speaker 3: seven eight games, does he get that job? That's gonna
- 52:37Speaker 3: be fascinating. But on to this ball game. Yes, I
- 52:40Speaker 3: think Missoo's. I just think they're more talented across the board.
- 52:43Speaker 3: I think the only spot South Carolina is really a
- 52:46Speaker 3: better football team is the quarterback spot. If Leonora Sellers
- 52:50Speaker 3: is healthy, that's it. Otherwise, I think Missoo's a better
- 52:53Speaker 3: football team across the board.
- 52:55Speaker 2: So give me a little bit of Missou that you've
- 53:01Speaker 2: gotten that one. I like it. I like Missoo in
- 53:04Speaker 2: this spot. Again, I think this is probably a sleeper
- 53:06Speaker 2: team in the SEC, got the best schedule. Think they've
- 53:09Speaker 2: got a great chance to win this one and go
- 53:11Speaker 2: from there it Scotty, let's go to three point fifteen
- 53:14Speaker 2: in the afternoon. We're gonna be in Stark Vegas. Baby,
- 53:18Speaker 2: Mississippi State laying twenty one over under. Here is forty
- 53:21Speaker 2: nine and a half against the Northern Illinois team that's
- 53:24Speaker 2: coming in. It's gonna be hot. It's gonna be in
- 53:26Speaker 2: the mid to low nineties in Mississippi. And not only that,
- 53:30Speaker 2: this is a non conference game. Scott, please explain to
- 53:33Speaker 2: folks that have never been to a game it's start
- 53:36Speaker 2: with Mississippi. What gets to happen during non conference games?
- 53:40Speaker 3: Do you ring the cow bells NonStop? And you know,
- 53:43Speaker 3: here's the thing. It doesn't end different. And you had
- 53:46Speaker 3: all these people, especially other teams in the league that
- 53:50Speaker 3: are coming to start Ville, like Texas fans are like, well,
- 53:52Speaker 3: we're all gonna start gooding cowbells at all. Y'all are great,
- 53:56Speaker 3: y'all don't follow through on anything. Hell y'all can't follow
- 53:59Speaker 3: through and showing up game. Look, it's legal in a
- 54:04Speaker 3: non conference game for them to bring their cowbells the
- 54:07Speaker 3: whole time. They will get fined significantly in a conference
- 54:10Speaker 3: game when the court, when the center gets over the ball,
- 54:12Speaker 3: it does dial back, but it doesn't go all the
- 54:15Speaker 3: way back. I aink Northern Illinois A is not nearly
- 54:18Speaker 3: as good as they were last year. I think the
- 54:21Speaker 3: benefit there's two benefits in this for state outside of
- 54:24Speaker 3: the just that they're a significantly better football team than
- 54:28Speaker 3: they've been. Is one that that Notre Dame win last
- 54:33Speaker 3: year for Northern Illinois, and second, the Toledo win in
- 54:36Speaker 3: Starkville last year kind of wakes them up and it's like, look,
- 54:39Speaker 3: we can't come out and lay down. But here's the difference.
- 54:42Speaker 3: I think Blake Shapin is playing. He's playing pretty high
- 54:45Speaker 3: level football. He's throwing the ball pretty well and he's
- 54:47Speaker 3: playing well. But the flip side is State's got two
- 54:50Speaker 3: good backup quarterbacks and when they get their reps, they
- 54:54Speaker 3: go balls out and State doesn't call the dogs off.
- 54:57Speaker 3: They get up three or four touchdowns and they're not
- 55:00Speaker 3: gonna call the dogs off. This Camario Taylor's team down
- 55:04Speaker 3: the road, and when he gets in, they're going full out.
- 55:07Speaker 3: And that kid's talented and they're letting him play with
- 55:09Speaker 3: some of the better players as well. And again he's
- 55:12Speaker 3: the third team quarterback, the starter for FSU last year
- 55:15Speaker 3: States backup. So you know, you got some you got
- 55:18Speaker 3: a much better quarterback room, you got a significantly more
- 55:21Speaker 3: talented team. That offensive line is starting to gel a
- 55:24Speaker 3: little bit. Big game on deck for the Bulldogs with
- 55:27Speaker 3: Tennessee next weekend coming into Startville. But I think this
- 55:30Speaker 3: team being so bad being a chance to double their
- 55:34Speaker 3: win total. Bulldogs are gonna come out and play well. Look,
- 55:37Speaker 3: they've played some you know, they played Jackson State, they
- 55:40Speaker 3: played Alcorn, They've played some of those smaller swack schools,
- 55:44Speaker 3: especially the end State schools multiple times. They've never looked
- 55:47Speaker 3: as good and as complete as they did last week.
- 55:51Speaker 3: Against Alcorn, But it was exactly what I said. They
- 55:54Speaker 3: got a huge lead, they started bringing in backups, and
- 55:57Speaker 3: man Levy didn't take his foot off the gas. They
- 55:59Speaker 3: wanted those guys get in case shape and gets hurt again,
- 56:02Speaker 3: and so it was. It was interesting to watch them perform.
- 56:05Speaker 3: But that was the most business like, easy, comfortable win
- 56:10Speaker 3: that they've that in my mind, that I ever remember
- 56:13Speaker 3: them having in this ball game. States had some good
- 56:15Speaker 3: football teams, so I just think they're going to come
- 56:17Speaker 3: out business like attitude set up at four and oh
- 56:20Speaker 3: with Tennessee coming to town next week.
- 56:23Speaker 2: No, I agree with you. I like everything about it.
- 56:26Speaker 2: And like you said, I've been on some bad teams,
- 56:28Speaker 2: and you don't take any game for granted, which you've
- 56:30Speaker 2: been on a bad team, you want every win you
- 56:32Speaker 2: can get and you want to celebrate those. They know
- 56:35Speaker 2: how big a deal this is. There's a lot of mode.
- 56:37Speaker 2: You want a lot of momentum coming into Tennessee next week,
- 56:40Speaker 2: not a not a twenty one to seventeen, you know,
- 56:43Speaker 2: limped in game. You want a lot of mode coming
- 56:45Speaker 2: into that one. So let's lay it with the Bullfrogs
- 56:49Speaker 2: USC at home in the coliseum, playing Michigan State. This
- 56:53Speaker 2: is a three and old Michigan State team that also
- 56:55Speaker 2: happens to be oh and three against the number, putting
- 56:58Speaker 2: up some pretty good points in Jonathan's this second year.
- 57:01Speaker 2: Remember he brought his quarterback over with him from Oregon
- 57:03Speaker 2: State Child's in that one, which I think helped progress
- 57:06Speaker 2: them along even faster. USC laying seventeen and a half
- 57:10Speaker 2: over under here is fifty six and a half. They're
- 57:12Speaker 2: three and oh straight up two and one against the
- 57:14Speaker 2: win did not cover last week traveling two time zone
- 57:18Speaker 2: to Purdue. So what are we gonna do in this game? Scott?
- 57:21Speaker 2: Because this game kicks off at eleven o'clock Eastern time.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Unless you are a Michigan State fans station in Bangkok,
- 57:28Speaker 2: you are gonna be asleep when this thing kicks off.
- 57:30Speaker 2: There's no ifs AND's butts about it.
- 57:33Speaker 1: Give me USC.
- 57:35Speaker 2: This offense looks explosive. You now understand why they kept
- 57:39Speaker 2: the quarterback play that they did in Jordan Mayava. The defense,
- 57:43Speaker 2: to me, though, is what has stepped up and looked better.
- 57:46Speaker 2: I think it's gonna get physical in this one. And
- 57:48Speaker 2: this is probably the game where we finally see that
- 57:51Speaker 2: USC has a legitimate chance to play in the Big
- 57:55Speaker 2: Ten and make a difference. I'm high on USC, have
- 57:59Speaker 2: been since last season. I think this team got better
- 58:02Speaker 2: as the season went on. Last year, they had five
- 58:05Speaker 2: games that they lost by one touchdown. Last year, I
- 58:09Speaker 2: think Lencoln Riley has finally gotten it right. I really do.
- 58:13Speaker 2: But I don't like the travel spot for Michigan State,
- 58:16Speaker 2: and I sure as hell don't like the kicks off,
- 58:18Speaker 2: So damn late, gim me by men of Troy. Let's
- 58:21Speaker 2: go Trojans laying seventeen and a half hoping to get
- 58:24Speaker 2: a flat seventeen. But I think they're going to cover
- 58:26Speaker 2: this game pretty easy.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Yeah, at the end of the day. There, I can't
- 58:31Speaker 3: say it any better. This is a terrible travel spot.
- 58:34Speaker 3: We just watched them get in a war with BC
- 58:38Speaker 3: two weeks ago, and then last week we watch VC
- 58:42Speaker 3: go out to the West Coast and make the same
- 58:44Speaker 3: type travel and get crushed by a worst team. Give
- 58:48Speaker 3: me the Trojans. This is probably not going to be
- 58:50Speaker 3: a close football game. I like USC.
- 58:53Speaker 2: Here big This line moved while we were recording this
- 58:56Speaker 2: podcast on Wednesday afternoon, so yeah, we'll see it's going
- 58:59Speaker 2: to go Scotty that's it. That's the board. I got
- 59:02Speaker 2: like twelve games. We'll put all these in the notes
- 59:05Speaker 2: that we've got there. We'll put what we want to
- 59:08Speaker 2: put in the contest in there as well, so you'll
- 59:10Speaker 2: know how we broke those out. We have to put
- 59:12Speaker 2: seven games in when we play sides. But let's get
- 59:15Speaker 2: to it, Scott, give me my money line parlay. What
- 59:18Speaker 2: do you got for me this week?
- 59:20Speaker 3: Missoo Virginia, Miami, Nebraska, USC. Missoo Virginia, Nebraska, Miami and
- 59:32Speaker 3: USC Miami.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Ye, you go to the little underdog in there.
- 59:37Speaker 3: Gotta throw a dog in there to get some odds.
- 59:39Speaker 2: You get your money line parlay of the week. Scott,
- 59:43Speaker 2: what are we gonna roll with in this spot?
- 59:46Speaker 3: I want me some Nebraska and Illinois Illinois.
- 59:54Speaker 2: I was on Illinois. I was just hoping you were
- 59:56Speaker 2: gonna go with Nebraska in that one. I'm not scared that.
- 59:59Speaker 2: I'm not scared here to mix a little.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Uh. I'm gonna take Miami. I'm gonna take Miami and
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: e CU. And I'm also gonna take Illinois and Memphis
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: in one. Just to let you know. I'm playing three
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: underdog parlays as we can.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: So you're gonna go Miami, Ohio and e Cu.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: Yeah. Now my favorite is Nebraska Illinois. That's my sof
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: if the listeners want one, but I'm gonna sprinkle in
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: as well because the odds on that Illinois Memphis are
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: gonna be gigantic.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: Yo. Yeah, Memphis. Might have to put me a little
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: one two, What do we got? One?
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: Two, three, six? Yeah, yep, five, I'm sorry as five.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: That's five.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: Might have to put us in a little wheel there,
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: scotty little wheeled round robbin. See how that comes out
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: for us, folks. That's been it. We enjoy everybody. Hit
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: us up on Twitter. We try to answer as many
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: questions as we can. Uh. We try to cover as
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: many games as we can. This a full Board's a
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: great week of college football, plenty of games to be watched.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: You can us up on Twitter, scroll down and give
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: us some reviews, ratings. We always like to hear back
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: from a With that being said, have a fantastic weekend.

- 1:01:11Speaker 2: look forward to being back with you next week. Love y'all. Bye,
