Latest / America Unfiltered With James P / The Assassination of Charlie Kirk: My Tribute to Charlie | America Unfiltered #113
Transcript
- 0:00America, we are back. Today.
- 0:01We have a special episode. This is a very sad episode.
- 0:05Most of you know what happened already.
- 0:09Charlie Kirk was assassinated on September 10th, 2025, and we're
- 0:13going to speak about it today. We're going to speak about his
- 0:16life, his legacy. We're going to speak about what
- 0:19the future of America looks like after this, what the future of
- 0:22conservative politics looks like.
- 0:25We're going to talk about the rise in political violence and
- 0:29we will talk about how this country should move forward
- 0:32together, how we need to end the political violence and all the
- 0:37destruction that's happening right now.
- 0:41I first want to start by talking about Charlie Kirk's legacy.
- 0:46Charlie Kirk was born on October 14th, 1993, passed away on
- 0:52September 10th, 2025. He was assassinated.
- 0:56Charlie Kirk started many companies and he influenced the
- 0:59youth in a way that no one had ever done in America before,
- 1:02including myself. When I first started getting
- 1:06into politics, it was because of Charlie Kirk's inspiration.
- 1:09Charlie Kirk inspired me to be more political.
- 1:12Seeing his TikTok, seeing his reels, seeing his YouTube videos
- 1:17of him debating whether it was against people on college
- 1:21campuses when he went to Oxford and took on the entire Oxford
- 1:25debate team, Charlie Kirk never feared any person when it came
- 1:29to the challenge of debate and sharing ideas.
- 1:33He encouraged us to share ideas. Charlie Kirk is what encouraged
- 1:37a lot of young Americans to speak their minds in a time
- 1:40where they felt like they didn't have a voice.
- 1:43When I felt like I didn't have a voice, when I felt like if I
- 1:46spoke my mind about politics, I would immediately be shut down
- 1:50or criticized, Charlie Kirk spoke up for people like me.
- 1:54Charlie Kirk gave us a reason to push forward.
- 1:57He let us know that being silenced was the the way to
- 2:02destroy ourselves and being silenced was the way to bring
- 2:06more violence to this country. That we need to continue to have
- 2:10a dialogue, whether we agree or disagree with people, and that
- 2:13pushing that dialogue forward, pushing our message forward, and
- 2:17continuing to share our thoughts and ideas with individuals who
- 2:20agree and disagree is the way that a country will prosper.
- 2:27If we stop sharing these ideas, if we stop talking about them,
- 2:32we will end up with more destruction.
- 2:35We will end up with more deaths, we will end up with more
- 2:37violence in this country. Charlie Kirk's passing is, I
- 2:43mean, it's so hard on all of us. It's it's really hard on me.
- 2:49These last few days have been very sad.
- 2:53I've barely slept. I have barely spoken.
- 2:56I am still in shock. It doesn't feel real and I don't
- 2:59know if it will for a long time. I have watched everyone of
- 3:04Charlie Kirk's videos. I was a big listener of his
- 3:08podcast. I watched all his campus
- 3:11debates. I have watched him every day
- 3:14almost since 2018 or so. Maybe 2019 is It hurts it.
- 3:25It feels. It feels like we all knew him,
- 3:28even if you know we never met him.
- 3:32It feels like we knew him. You know he was on our TV's and
- 3:35our phones every day. He was speaking to people and
- 3:38repeating points that we believed in and even on things I
- 3:41disagreed with him about. I, you know, over the last few
- 3:46months, I've definitely given him a ton of shit on his
- 3:49position on Israel versus mine, and I've given him a lot of
- 3:52criticism. But Charlie Kirk encouraged us
- 3:54all to disagree. He encouraged us all to keep
- 3:58disagreeing with each other and speaking our minds and doing it
- 4:02civilly. That's why he would sit in front
- 4:04of these college campuses and debate people for hours on end.
- 4:10Charlie Kirk, your legacy will never be forgotten.
- 4:15And millions more. Charlie Kirks were born on
- 4:19September 10th, 2025. That radicalized millions of us.
- 4:27Nobody should have any calls to violence.
- 4:30Nobody should have any, any retaliation, anything like that.
- 4:39It is important that we act within the will of God.
- 4:42It is important that we act within how Charlie Kirk would
- 4:46have wanted us to respond. He would not have wanted us to
- 4:49respond with violence. He would have wanted us to use
- 4:55our voices, use our right to free speech.
- 5:01He would have wanted us to debate people.
- 5:03He would have wanted us to continue to speak our minds,
- 5:08challenge people, maybe even get some of the people fired who are
- 5:13celebrating it and things like that.
- 5:15But he would not want us to to use violence.
- 5:19And again, I understand how you guys are probably feeling as
- 5:24well. I'm feeling the same way.
- 5:27Like I'm saying violence is not the answer and it should never
- 5:31be the answer. But like many of you, I feel the
- 5:34same. The same urges, the same the
- 5:38same hatred and the same disgust and anger and sadness.
- 5:47And I, I have that same feeling, if I've never been more ready in
- 5:50my life to pick up a gun and fight for America, for this
- 5:53country, for free speech, for people like Charlie Kirk who
- 5:56gave their lives for free speech, that's not the answer.
- 6:02The answer right now is to continue to use our voices and
- 6:05to finish what Charlie Kirk started.
- 6:07Charlie Kirk started a movement that I couldn't do in 1000
- 6:12lifetimes. Charlie Kirk started a movement
- 6:15that captured the hearts and minds of young conservatives and
- 6:19young individuals everywhere. People loved him and people
- 6:23hated him for his ideas, but he never shield away or back down
- 6:28from sharing them. He he encouraged more people to
- 6:31be open about their conservative politics, and he even made it
- 6:36cool to be conservative again. There was a time where it became
- 6:41a very bad thing to be conservative socially and if you
- 6:45weren't liberal, you weren't cool.
- 6:47And Charlie Kirk changed that. Charlie Kirk made it so we had
- 6:51that voice so people like me could do my show.
- 6:54And even though me and him wouldn't agree on everything, he
- 6:58would still want me to voice my opinions every day.
- 7:00He would still encourage me to. He would encourage all Americans
- 7:04to because that's who he was. Charlie Kirk is leaving behind a
- 7:10three and a one year old, a son and a daughter, a loving wife.
- 7:15He was a devout evangelical Christian and his wife was a
- 7:18devout Catholic. They attended daily masses.
- 7:29This is really sad and really hard.
- 7:31I I never thought I would be making an episode like this or
- 7:35talking about this. I might have disagreed with the
- 7:40guy on a lot, but Charlie Kirk was a hero and Charlie Kirk was
- 7:45the face and voice of mainstream conservative politics.
- 7:48He was the he was the epitome of like, you know, if, if your
- 7:54neighbor was Charlie Kirk, if all your neighbors were Charlie
- 7:57Kirk, you'd live in the best place ever.
- 7:59He was such a great person, such a great man, inspiring man, kind
- 8:04man, a man of God. He put God over everything in
- 8:08his family right after that. This is just heartbreaking.
- 8:17I am. I'm so sad that we have this
- 8:22rise in political violence in our country.
- 8:26It is detrimental to the society.
- 8:30We have people on both sides of the aisle who do it, but it
- 8:34predominantly comes from the left.
- 8:38It is overwhelmingly coming from the left, actually.
- 8:41You know, when Luigi Mangione shot the CEO of that healthcare
- 8:45company in the back of the head, people celebrated over it.
- 8:48And as we saw the most graphic assassination we'll probably
- 8:52ever see in our lifetime from a political figure or a pray we
- 8:55ever see in our lifetime of a political figure, people
- 8:58celebrated it. Literally, someone stood up and
- 9:01cheered the second it happened in the crowd.
- 9:03That's demonic. That's evil.
- 9:06It is the evil that resides around us that we need to root
- 9:09out. I don't care if you're a
- 9:12liberal, I don't care if you're a Republican or I don't care if
- 9:15you're Democrat. I don't care if you're
- 9:17conservative or what you are. We're all Americans.
- 9:21There's good and there's evil, and it doesn't matter whether
- 9:24we're left or right. It matters whether you're good
- 9:26or you're evil. And we need to root out the evil
- 9:28from our society because it is around us.
- 9:30The satanic influence is everywhere around us and we can
- 9:35see it rising. We can see it in our media.
- 9:37We could see it in our social media.
- 9:39We could see the propaganda everywhere, and we could see it
- 9:43with the rise in political violence.
- 9:45We just had that woman stabbed on the train.
- 9:48We had Luigi Mangione shoot that guy in the back of the head.
- 9:52Someone took a shot at Trump. A Democratic politician was
- 9:55killed just a couple months ago. And now this.
- 9:58Now, Charlie Kirk, the largest voice in mainstream conservative
- 10:01politics, the largest voice in youth politics, someone who
- 10:05captured the entire youth by their hearts and minds, was
- 10:10struck down in front of thousands of individuals and it
- 10:13took the FBI days to be able to arrest this individual finally
- 10:18this morning. This is a really hard episode
- 10:25for me to make, so I'm sorry, everyone, please bear with me in
- 10:28these just pause moments and just gathering and collecting my
- 10:32thoughts. I'm not writing a script or I
- 10:35didn't write a script or anything for this.
- 10:38It's just me speaking about how I feel about Charlie and the
- 10:45political violence and where I feel this country needs to head.
- 10:52Charlie, we will never forget your legacy and we will honor
- 10:55it. We will finish what you started.
- 10:58I don't know what will happen with Turning Point USA.
- 11:01I don't know who will fill your shoes, or I don't think anyone
- 11:07even could. Like I said, in 1000 lifetimes,
- 11:10I can never accomplish what Charlie Kirk accomplished.
- 11:13And that's not just me, that's most people.
- 11:16You know, any big name you see in conservative politics could
- 11:19not have done what Charlie Kirk did or else they would have done
- 11:21it themselves. What Charlie Kirk did was
- 11:25immensely selfless. Charlie Kirk was warned multiple
- 11:30times that people would attempt to take his life.
- 11:34Charlie Kirk had to spend millions of dollars on security.
- 11:40Charlie Kirk had to do what he could to protect himself at all
- 11:43times, and demonic influence was still able to interfere.
- 11:51He was taken way too young. He was 31 years old, 31, a
- 11:57father of two, and a husband again.
- 12:02A better man than you, me, or any of us will be.
- 12:07We should all aspire to be more like Charlie Kirk every day.
- 12:10We should all aspire to speak our minds truly.
- 12:12We should all aspire to push back on narratives and not
- 12:18accept things as they are. We should all aspire to be
- 12:22better Christians and be better to our families.
- 12:25Be more involved with our families and devote our lives to
- 12:31God and our families and our country the way Charlie did.
- 12:36Not just some days, every day. Charlie was a stoic individual
- 12:40who on the days he didn't want to wake up, you wouldn't even
- 12:43notice because he got up and did it anyway.
- 12:46You wouldn't notice Charlie's bad days from his good days
- 12:49because he was so stoic and he was so dedicated to his craft
- 12:53and dedicated to helping this country that you would never
- 12:57even notice again. We should all do what we can to
- 13:03be more like Charlie Kirk every day.
- 13:05If everyone acted a little bit more like him, the world would
- 13:08be a way better place. People who are justifying this
- 13:13saying any argument that Charlie Kirk has said in the past
- 13:18justifies this. They're saying that Charlie Kirk
- 13:21would speak. You know he was anti abortion.
- 13:25Charlie Kirk didn't want people to get murdered, so you murdered
- 13:29just. It's fucked up.
- 13:34They say that because Charlie Kirk spoke about black crime
- 13:38that he deserved this. Because Charlie Kirk wanted to
- 13:41live in a safer nation for his wife and children.
- 13:43He deserved this. She's super fucked up.
- 13:48There's been a lot of speculation over the last few
- 13:51days over who the shooter was, the motives, what had happened.
- 13:58That's the reason I didn't do a show for the last couple days
- 14:01beyond just needing a day or two to really put my thoughts
- 14:05together and think about all this.
- 14:07This is a very, very hard thing, but I don't think it's positive
- 14:15to engage in the conspiracy talk either following tragic events
- 14:19like this. You know, there was speculation
- 14:22whether it was Israel. There was speculation whether it
- 14:25was transgender. There was speculation whether it
- 14:29was someone who had been radicalized.
- 14:32And we find out this morning the individual's name that they're
- 14:36arrested, and it was a radicalized individual.
- 14:39But all the people engaged in conspiracies, I, I just don't
- 14:43think it's positive. I think right now the family is
- 14:46in mourning. Erica, Kirk and their children
- 14:49are right now probably in the saddest times of their entire
- 14:52lives that they will ever have to deal with.
- 14:56And they don't need to be reading all that on social
- 14:58media. Not that they're actively
- 15:00looking, but just in case. It's like we don't need to be
- 15:03flooding social media with conspiracy theories when we
- 15:07don't know the answer. It's better to just wait for
- 15:10answers. That's why another reason why I
- 15:12waited a couple days. It's just I wanted more clarity
- 15:15on the situation and waiting till today was able to provide
- 15:19me with the clarity of who the person was who actually
- 15:21committed the ACT. So that way I could more
- 15:24accurately report on it. Because if I came and did this
- 15:27on the day he got shot, it would have been me.
- 15:29Just again, I've never been more mad.
- 15:33And I think a lot of people understand that feeling.
- 15:36A lot of young conservatives out there understand the exact
- 15:40feeling I have right now. If I've never been more pissed
- 15:43off in my life, I'm sad, I'm pissed off, I'm hurt, I feel
- 15:49lost a little bit. A a mentor and a role model to
- 15:55us all was taken too early, way too early at 31 years old.
- 16:03Not only that, I mean, we all found out, you know, someone
- 16:06texted us, we opened social media, whatever it was for me,
- 16:09it was my cousin called me and said, did you see Charlie Kirk
- 16:13got shot? And immediately I was like, no
- 16:17fucking way, No way. Maybe maybe someone just walked
- 16:21up to the mic and shot him in the shoulder.
- 16:25Maybe it hit his bulletproof vest.
- 16:27I know he wears 1 and then I open X and about 80 to 90 times
- 16:35in a row I see the video. It's the only thing on my For
- 16:39You page and in my following, everyone was posting the video
- 16:46and I was very in between on that.
- 16:49I was. A huge part of me thinks that
- 16:52video should not be on social media because, again, the family
- 16:56does not need to be seeing that. There are rumors that Charlie
- 17:00Kirk's daughter ran to Charlie Kirk after he was shot because
- 17:03she was scared of the sound. They don't need to be seeing
- 17:09that. But there's another part of me
- 17:12that thinks that that image in that video should be burned in
- 17:16every American's mind, especially every young
- 17:19Americans, for a few reasons, for the political violence that
- 17:24we need to show that it needs to end.
- 17:29And so you have that feeling again, I don't want people to be
- 17:33sad and pissed off, but after something like this, we all
- 17:36should be. We should be furious.
- 17:42We should want answers and not revenge, but we should want
- 17:47answers and we should want clarity.
- 17:50We should want dialogue. Again, we should in times like
- 17:57this, listen to people like Charlie Kirk, go back and listen
- 18:00to some of his old videos and wisdom and advice where it's
- 18:02just in times like this, we need to continue to talk.
- 18:07We need to not resort to violence.
- 18:08We need to be stoic. We need to be clear with our
- 18:12intentions. Our intentions need to be
- 18:15extremely clear because again, we could go down the rabbit hole
- 18:23of they killed Charlie Couric. OK, let's pick up our guns.
- 18:26Let's go kill this person. This person.
- 18:31What is that going to solve? What is that going to fix?
- 18:33It's only going to cause more death, more destruction.
- 18:36It's not going to help anybody. It's only going to hurt this
- 18:40nation. The left is more willing to go
- 18:46do acts like this, but the right is more capable of finishing any
- 18:52conflict. The left doesn't want to start a
- 18:55long term conflict with the right.
- 18:58And I don't want to have a conflict with anyone in my
- 19:01nation. I want to live as Americans.
- 19:06The left has to stop pushing us like this.
- 19:08They have to stop pushing us down this path where they're
- 19:14taking shots at Trump and celebrating it and killing
- 19:17Charlie Kirk and celebrating it and they're celebrating Luigi
- 19:25Mangio and selling fucking Luigi T-shirts and shirts with Charlie
- 19:29Kirk dying on it. It's so heartbreaking.
- 19:33I'm, I'm trying to, as I'm filming this, I'm trying to not
- 19:37get over emotional. I'm trying to just keep a calm
- 19:42tone the entire time because I I could start yelling, I could
- 19:48start screaming, I could start getting mad into the camera.
- 19:51I could start bawling my fucking eyes out.
- 19:53I could go. Anyway, here.
- 19:55I mean, I, like I said, I'm feeling a range of emotions, as
- 19:57are most Americans. We're all, we're all pissed off,
- 20:01we're all upset, we're all sad, we're all, we're all feeling
- 20:05like we need guidance. Nick Fuentes gave a amazing
- 20:11monologue last night. About it, I reposted it on my
- 20:15YouTube channel for you guys to check out.
- 20:17It's going to be way more, way better put together than this
- 20:23one for sure. But it's important that I put
- 20:26this one out as well because like I said, Charlie was an
- 20:29important person to me. I've watched him every day since
- 20:32I started being political. And when I started my show, he
- 20:35was who inspired me to start it. You know, I wanted to model my
- 20:40show after things he was accomplishing and after the
- 20:46model he set for conservative politics of you can speak your
- 20:49mind, even if people aren't going to agree, you do have the
- 20:52ability to speak your mind and he don't have to be ostracized
- 20:56for it. It's really easy to be angry.
- 21:04It's really easy to want to. I guess I'd go pick up a gun and
- 21:08fight, but it's a test to forgive and it's a test we need
- 21:15to pass. Again, we need to act in the
- 21:17will of God. Everybody.
- 21:19I know I'm all over the place in this.
- 21:21But again, it's really hard to to think about all this and to
- 21:29speak about all this. I, I practice what I was going
- 21:33to say over and over again. I didn't write anything down,
- 21:36but as I sat in front of the camera and press record, it just
- 21:43feels so different. It's, it's not me sitting in
- 21:46front of a mirror practicing. It's me actually talking about
- 21:50someone who I would say was a hero to me in a lot of ways.
- 21:53You know, being assassinated, being taken from us all too
- 21:58early by pure demonic evil, the evil that we need to root out of
- 22:04this world. I want to talk about who the
- 22:12individual was. I'm not going to talk too long
- 22:14about it because the FBI hasn't released a ton of information
- 22:19and I'm sure they will release more.
- 22:20But Tyler Robinson was the killer when he was 22.
- 22:25Seemed like he did possibly have mental and social problems.
- 22:29A very deranged person. There are rumors that this
- 22:33individual could have been schizophrenic, but I'm not going
- 22:35to say that for sure because I want to get this reporting
- 22:38accurate, but I hope you get the death penalty.
- 22:43Tyler Robertson. One day you will meet your Maker
- 22:49and Creator and you will have to answer for this because I know
- 22:54God love Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk devoted his life to
- 22:59Christ. Well, I may not have agreed with
- 23:02him on everything. I agree with him on that.
- 23:07He was a more devout Christian than most people and I could
- 23:13never compare to the amount of knowledge he had, the way he's
- 23:17able to just quote biblical verses and the way he is able to
- 23:22use it in debates and the way he is able to reference it in his
- 23:27everyday life and act accordingly.
- 23:31He was a better man than a lot of us.
- 23:33And like I said, if all our neighbors were Charlie Kirk, we
- 23:35would live in a lot better place.
- 23:40My closing thoughts and remarks to all this are again, I want to
- 23:49encourage everybody who's thinking about acting violently,
- 23:54who's thinking about retaliation and revenge, Please put down
- 23:59your weapons, put down anything, pray, go hug your family, touch
- 24:09grass, take a nap, drink some water.
- 24:15Charlie Kirk wouldn't want that. Charlie Kirk would want us to
- 24:18act accordingly to how God would want us to act.
- 24:21Charlie Kirk would want us to use our voices, not our guns.
- 24:27Charlie Kirk would want us to, again, just act in the will of
- 24:32God. And that's what I'm encouraging
- 24:34everyone to do today. Charlie Kirk, a loving father
- 24:40and husband, was taken all too early from us at 31 years old.
- 24:44But we will never forget him. The young Americans who were
- 24:50gathered around Charlie Kirk at a student Action summit at his
- 24:53Turning Point USA events. The young Americans who followed
- 24:56him on social media. We will finish what you started.
- 25:01We will pick it up where you left off and we will finish what
- 25:04you started, Charlie Kirk. We will.
- 25:07He will speak out against the radical woke indoctrination of
- 25:11our children. We will speak out against the
- 25:14violence that happens and the political violence that's
- 25:17starting to rise. We will finish what you started,
- 25:23Charlie Kirk. I promise you that.
- 25:25That is my my promise to you. Beyond the graves.
- 25:32I'm heartbroken, I'm distraught, I'm angry, I'm sad.
- 25:37I have probably the widest range of emotions I think I've ever
- 25:42felt in my life. This is one of the saddest
- 25:47moments in my life. This is one of the saddest
- 25:51moments that I've been alive for in American history.
- 25:58I don't think America will ever be the same or I will ever be
- 26:00the same. But please, everybody, don't act
- 26:07violently, but don't back down either.
- 26:10Never back down, Never take a backward step.
- 26:16Always be ready to defend yourself and your life, but
- 26:20never be the aggressor. Charlie Kirk would want us to
- 26:25push forward and move forward. And Charlie Kirk would want us
- 26:28to keep speaking, keep debating, keep engaging in political
- 26:35discourse and engaging in politics.
- 26:37Who would want us to convert more people to being Christians?
- 26:41He'd want us to bring more peace throughout the world.
- 26:47Charlie Kirk, I pray for you today and I will pray for you
- 26:49and your family every day. This is heartbreaking.
- 27:01I really can't believe I'm filming this right now.
- 27:04I this is the most real it's felt is talking about it like
- 27:11this. Like I said, I haven't slept.
- 27:12I haven't. I've barely talked to anybody
- 27:15for the last few days. I'm sorry, I'm taking all these
- 27:30pauses. I'm just trying to gather my
- 27:33emotions and thoughts. I'm going to sign off.
- 27:40I, I don't know what else to say right now.
- 27:46I am, I'm overwhelmed with emotions right now.
- 27:50I'm overwhelmed with, like I said, just feelings of anger,
- 27:55sadness, every, every emotion. I think we all need to do what
- 28:03we can to try and be better people.
- 28:06We need to do what we can to communicate better.
- 28:08And we need to do what we can to make this country safer because
- 28:11right now there is a rising trend of violence that is very
- 28:15scary. I want to pray for everyone's
- 28:18safety. I want to pray for Charlie Kirk.
- 28:21I want to pray for Charlie Kirk's family and children.
- 28:25I want to pray for all Americans, politicians or not.
- 28:30I want to pray for their safety and please, I encourage everyone
- 28:34to do that too. I also want to encourage all my
- 28:37listeners. Go get your first communion, get
- 28:42baptized, get confirmed, do a confession.
- 28:47If you already have some of those things, go do another
- 28:49confession and go to Mass this Sunday.
- 28:53Life can end at any moment, and that was shown to us this week.
- 28:59Life is precious and it can end at any second unexpectedly.
- 29:06Go to confession, be right with God, be right in your own mind.
- 29:13Do what's right for America, and do what Charlie Kirk would do.
- 29:18I'm going to sign off today. I hope you guys do have a
- 29:21blessed day, a blessed weekend. I will see you guys Monday.
- 29:26Thank you.
