  Speaker 1: Father that art in heaven, I come to you in

  Speaker 1: prayer to be able to have the Holy Spirit be
• 0:14
  Speaker 1: able to speak through this mic and go through the
• 0:17
  Speaker 1: listeners' ears and be able to reach their hearts and
• 0:19
  Speaker 1: minds and be able to apply these verses to their lives.

  Speaker 1: In the Lord Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen. Amen.

  Speaker 1: So I highly encourage you to grab your Bibles or

  Speaker 1: get on your Bible app and read along as you

  Speaker 1: hear along. We're going to be in Acts chapter 2.

  Speaker 1: We're going to cover at least verse 1 through 10.

  Speaker 1: If we can get to 15, so be it. But

  Speaker 1: the Spirit takes over in these 15 minutes a lot
• 0:43
  Speaker 1: of the times. And there's periods where I kind of
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: lose track of time. There's been episodes that I've done
• 0:49
  Speaker 1: and they've kind of gotten cut off because I just
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: forget and I get so deep into the Word and
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: I'm soaking it in. Because when I make that prayer
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: in the beginning, it's also for me too. I'm a listener.

  Speaker 1: I hear myself speak and I'm also reading the word. Amen.

  Speaker 1: So let's jump into it. It's Acts chapter 2 and
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: it is titled, The Holy Spirit Comes on the Day
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: of the Pentecost. Chapter 2. The day of the Pentecost
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: festival arrived. All the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly,
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: as they were sitting together, they heard a noise. The
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: noise came from the sky and it filled the whole house.
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: It was like the sound of a strong wind. Then
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: they saw something that looked like many small fires. The
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: separate fires moved and went to sit on each person there.
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: I love these first three verses in Acts 2 because
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: what it really brings to... my awareness is that something
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: that I've spoke about, right? Jesus can't necessarily be sitting
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: next to us. He's in heaven. And you'll see these
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: different analogies and these different pictures and videos of, oh,
• 2:13
  Speaker 1: Jesus is right there with you, next to you. No,
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: he is not. He is in heaven. And he even
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: said it himself. And he showed the people after he
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: rose from the dead that he was giving A gift
• 2:26
  Speaker 1: to each and every person that believes and follows him.
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: A guider. Because he's gone to heaven to prepare a
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: place for us. It's not just Jesus and he's a
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: carpenter in heaven and he's building all these things for us. No,
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: there's angels in heaven that have jobs. And if we
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: cannot prepare ourselves to love God here on this earth,
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: how do we expect to get into heaven? How do
• 3:00
  Speaker 1: we expect to feed that Holy Spirit, right? Because we
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: can push it away too. We can make a choice
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: to decide to go another way. And there's so many
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: other ways to go that all lead to destruction. I
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: know about self-destruction. Let's get into verse five, four, I'm sorry.
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: Acts chapter two, verse four, all the believers became fools
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: with the Holy Spirit. And I say that because Jesus
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: can't necessarily be with us, right? But he left us
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: all a gift that can go to all of us.
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: And that is the Holy Spirit. They began to speak
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: in languages that they had not learned. They spoke whatever
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: language the Holy Spirit helped them to speak. This is
• 3:42
  Speaker 1: another thing during prayer. When you don't know what to
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: pray for, the Holy Spirit steps in and it doesn't matter.
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: There'll be grunts, there'll be moans, there'll be different things
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: that you'll experience, and there is a personal way of
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: speaking tongues, and then there's a way of being amongst
• 4:00
  Speaker 1: other believers, and eyewitnessing the prayers become tongues, into tongues,
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: and that's what goes to heaven, right? That only heaven
• 4:15
  Speaker 1: can hear. There is no interference. And when we're talking
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: about The Holy Spirit in general. Taking... The fact that...
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: I've really experienced the Holy Spirit. It does not... Line
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: up with my emotions all the time. It does not
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: line up with... Some of the thoughts that I have.
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: And that doesn't make me a horrible person. That I
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: have negative thoughts. I just know that... The difference. I
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: understand that I'm under attack because... I am under the
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: blood of Christ. So of course... The enemy wants to kill, steal,
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: and destroy. That's not just your material things. That's your peace.
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: That's your joy. That's your mind. And it's up to
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: you to allow the Holy Spirit only in. And having
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: it that we're talking about a festival in this gospel
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: of Acts chapter 2 it's almost the same thing as
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: if going to a really good church you are amongst
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: other people the Holy Spirit is there when they say
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: that the king is in the room the literal king
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: is not in the room though and I don't say
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: that like oh I'm I'm a know-it-all because you will
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: have other people that may say something otherwise and that's
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: their personal belief But I'm reading, I'm going off of
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: the scripture of what Jesus said, not what the apostles
• 6:01
  Speaker 1: said completely. I believe the Bible all together. Do I
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: understand it? Do I have questions? Yes, and that's okay. Amen.

  Speaker 1: So at that time, Jews who came from many different
• 6:18
  Speaker 1: countries in the world were staying in Jerusalem. They were
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: Jews who carefully obeyed God's law. When these Jews heard
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: the noise, a large crowd of them came together in
• 6:29
  Speaker 1: that place as the believers spoke. Each person in the
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: crowd could hear the message in their own language. This
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: confused them. They were very surprised and they said to
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: each other, These men who are speaking our languages are
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: all from Galilee. But each of us can hear them
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: speak in the language of our own home country. How
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: can this happen? Some of us are from Parthia, Media,
• 7:03
  Speaker 1: and Elam. Some of us live in Mesopotamia, Judah, and Capricornia.
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: Some of us are from Pontus and Asia. Some of
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: us are from Pagira and Pambalia. And so on and
• 7:22
  Speaker 1: so on. The thing about the Holy Spirit It doesn't
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: matter what language you speak. It doesn't matter what race
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: you come from. It doesn't matter your financial status. It
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: is looking for an obedient participant, an open heart, an
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: open mind, an open spirit. If you are closed off
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: and you are bitter and you're holding grudges and you're
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: wondering why God can't work through you, he's going to
• 7:54
  Speaker 1: use you. All right, spirit. going to use you as
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: an example of what not to be if you don't
• 8:02
  Speaker 1: open up your heart to the Holy Spirit. How do
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: we do this? It's by having that relationship with Jesus Christ.
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: Knowing what is right and what is wrong and doing
• 8:11
  Speaker 1: what is right consistently. That does not mean we will
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: be perfect. We will mess up. But I want to
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: talk a little bit into verse 11 and we'll go
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: ahead and close out. Some of us were born as Jews,
• 8:24
  Speaker 1: others of us Gentiles who now obey God as the
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: Jews do. Some of us are from Crete and some
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: of us are from Iberia. But we all hear these
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: people speaking in our own languages. They are speaking about
• 8:38
  Speaker 1: all the great things that God has done. All the
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: people were very surprised that they did not understand what
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: was happening. What does all this mean? They asked each other.
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: But some... Other people laughed at the disciples. They said,
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: these people have drunk too much wine. See, people will
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: laugh at you. People will discourage you. And there will
• 9:02
  Speaker 1: be a lot of people that will not necessarily understand
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: your faith. I have five minutes and this is going
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: to be a lot of the Holy Spirit. And this
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: is going to be a lot of preaching. So if
• 9:10
  Speaker 1: you've got what you needed and you need to go,
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: I understand. But I have five minutes. The Holy Spirit.
• 9:21
  Speaker 1: You can tell who has it and who doesn't. Once
• 9:25
  Speaker 1: you have it. It is very important. People, places, things.
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: We're talking about nouns. Something that we've learned in grade school.
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: We're not talking about a verb. We're talking about people, places,
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: and things. Where you put that time does not matter
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: great of a character you have. Misery loves company. And
• 9:59
  Speaker 1: if you just want any and everybody to be around
• 10:04
  Speaker 1: you when you're lonely and you don't allow the Holy
• 10:06
  Speaker 1: Spirit to come in, you're wasting time. And anybody that's
• 10:14
  Speaker 1: listening to this and you want to be successful I
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: saw this thing one time and it's so true. 80%
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: of being successful is reframing yourself from certain people regardless
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: how long you have known them. You have to reevaluate
• 10:40
  Speaker 1: your friendships, your relationships, your career. Is it lining up
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: with only your desire or what God wants to do.
• 10:54
  Speaker 1: And I understand that it's kind of hard to picture
• 10:59
  Speaker 1: a life with certain people not in it, not going
• 11:02
  Speaker 1: to certain places, not doing certain things. I completely understand.
• 11:06
  Speaker 1: I'm a human being too. But we want to learn today, right?
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: We want to be successful someday, right? Success doesn't come overnight.
• 11:16
  Speaker 1: It comes with being consistently Stable in your craft, in
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: your relationships, communication. There's so much that goes into the
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: plans that God has for us that we get so overwhelmed.
• 11:41
  Speaker 1: We want to just settle for a mediocre life. And
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: I say we because we as a country are lazy. Procrastinators.
• 11:52
  Speaker 1: And I'm speaking for myself too. I'm not just singling
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: you out, listener. I want you to understand that the
• 12:06
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit, and that's what we were talking about, like
• 12:09
  Speaker 1: in the verses, will make itself known. It will make
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: itself presentable. It's up to you if you want to
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: grab it. So I'm trying to put this into perspective, right?
• 12:30
  Speaker 1: That no matter what happens, you have to cling to
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: your belief. You have to realize that everything is not
• 12:41
  Speaker 1: always going to be neat in order to change. And
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: There will be people that will laugh at you. I
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: have two minutes and I want to make this last
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: two minutes for someone particularly close to me. I love
• 12:57
  Speaker 1: you with all my heart. You are my best friend.
• 13:02
  Speaker 1: I care about you more than you'll probably ever know.
• 13:06
  Speaker 1: And I just want the best for us. How does
• 13:09
  Speaker 1: that work out? I want the best for you and I.
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: Which is us. And... No matter what you say, no
• 13:19
  Speaker 1: matter what you do, the love will never change. Unless
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: you cheat on me. And you know this. And I
• 13:32
  Speaker 1: want anybody that's also listening to know that cheating is unacceptable.
• 13:36
  Speaker 1: Whether it is sex, emotionally, flirting, it does not matter. Now,
• 13:41
  Speaker 1: if you were in a breakup and things happen, that's understandable.
• 13:45
  Speaker 1: But you get back together and you leave those things out,
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: that's kind of That's kind of shady. Because it's just
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: like you're waiting to get a way out. But anyways.
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: I got another minute. And I want everybody that listens
• 13:59
  Speaker 1: to this. To know that you have the opportunity. To
• 14:04
  Speaker 1: change your life. No matter your emotions. No matter your thoughts.
• 14:09
  Speaker 1: Those things are going to be out of your control. Sometimes.
• 14:14
  Speaker 1: I hope and pray. That you can be able to escape.
• 14:20
  Speaker 1: The negativity. And be joyous. Free. The Holy Spirit is
• 14:28
  Speaker 1: the only thing that can do that for you consistently.
• 14:31
  Speaker 1: People will let you down. Places will not feed your
• 14:35
  Speaker 1: purpose anymore. Things run out. So I want to keep
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: that into your perspective. And I want to just say
• 14:45
  Speaker 1: God bless you. Jesus loves you. The Holy Spirit is ready.

  Speaker 1: For anybody that's willing to be an obedient participant. It's
