- 0:03Speaker 1: Show. So there have been some changes for the gathering
- 0:08Speaker 1: of the Juggalos. You guys, do they have to they did?
- 0:11Speaker 1: They legally have to move locations, like they weren't invited
- 0:14Speaker 1: back to where they've been been having. That is the rumor.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Because Shaggy Too Joe, he's the skinnier of the Insane Clowns. Okay,
- 0:21Speaker 2: he says that he does a live stream where he
- 0:23Speaker 2: mentioned that, like they were getting in big trouble for
- 0:25Speaker 2: things like porta potties where they were having to pay
- 0:27Speaker 2: because people were just destroying We blow up porta potties
- 0:29Speaker 2: with fireworks of.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Course, might just and tag on the trash them. Yeah.
- 0:33Speaker 1: So the gathering of the Juggalos Jugglos are fans, super
- 0:37Speaker 1: fans self self you know, uh whatever claim uh you know,
- 0:41Speaker 1: fans of Insane clown Posse, a clown rap group who yeah,
- 0:46Speaker 1: because of late murder, late nineties, early two thousands was
- 0:49Speaker 1: kind of like their their peak and their their heyday.
- 0:52Speaker 1: But that doesn't stop now. It's kind of sad when
- 0:54Speaker 1: you see like fifty.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Year old dudes.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I'm saying, like twhen you're like nineteen years old and
- 1:02Speaker 1: you had the hatchetman tattoo. And you know, like, oh
- 1:05Speaker 1: yeah for the clowns, and you know you're going to
- 1:07Speaker 1: the show. That's different than now you're a fifty year
- 1:09Speaker 1: old man with the hatchet tattoo, still dressed in the
- 1:12Speaker 1: same way it's after the show and being just such
- 1:16Speaker 1: a what's the term simp for, you know, to two
- 1:21Speaker 1: other old dudes dressed up as clowns.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Well, it's so strange, Gray because now it's so they
- 1:25Speaker 2: have those hatchetman tattoos, but they're in business suits and
- 1:27Speaker 2: you know, the CEOs.
- 1:32Speaker 4: It's still a couple of things. One, you never stop
- 1:35Speaker 4: being a fan. Two they still have insane clown posse
- 1:39Speaker 4: stuff at hot topic.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Oh well you can get the final forget what I said.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I believe a lot of that is irony, obviously, but
- 1:47Speaker 2: there are some newer Juggalo and juggle Atte fans that
- 1:50Speaker 2: you show up. But the reason I'm worried is because
- 1:52Speaker 2: they have Mood Mood venues. They had it outside of Columbus,
- 1:54Speaker 2: Ohio and an actual like festival area with a real parking,
- 1:59Speaker 2: real stage. This thing hosts events all the time. They
- 2:02Speaker 2: moved it to Max Creek, Missouri. Now Max Creek, Oh,
- 2:05Speaker 2: I know that no you don't. You've never bet no
- 2:07Speaker 2: one's ever been where.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Exactly is that? I mean, I lived in Missouri for
- 2:10Speaker 1: a long time. That is south of Lake of the
- 2:12Speaker 1: oga Ozarks.
- 2:12Speaker 2: It's triangulated south of Kansas City and Saint Louis about equally.
- 2:16Speaker 2: It's in the middle of nowhere, north of Springfield, literally
- 2:19Speaker 2: the middle of nowhere. It's the middle of the state exactly.
- 2:22Speaker 2: And it is that the new venue that does not
- 2:24Speaker 2: have a stage, does not have parking for several thousand.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Jogalos fence off an area.
- 2:30Speaker 2: That's it's it's adjacent to part of a creek slash river,
- 2:33Speaker 2: so a lot of people are just gonna float into
- 2:35Speaker 2: it for free.
- 2:38Speaker 1: He's not killed message boards. Yeah, he's not kidding. How
- 2:42Speaker 1: are you?
- 2:43Speaker 2: I am st You have to do what to get there?
- 2:45Speaker 2: The closest hotel is about an hour away. That's where
- 2:48Speaker 2: I stay driving.
- 2:49Speaker 1: In every day. But just to get there, you're flying
- 2:51Speaker 1: into what I'm gonna go, say, I scho.
- 2:53Speaker 2: From Saint Louis, But damn, that's crack three hours because
- 2:57Speaker 2: where my other option Kansas City or two hours Springfield.
- 3:01Speaker 2: So here's the problem is now you have to then
- 3:03Speaker 2: they don't because there is no infrastructure at this new venue.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I use that term very loosely. You got to stop
- 3:08Speaker 2: by a the local like bar to pick up your ticket,
- 3:12Speaker 2: that rule really, and then you go to whatever their
- 3:15Speaker 2: wherever they got to. Then they have a parking area
- 3:16Speaker 2: somewhere set up on site, and then I think they
- 3:19Speaker 2: shuttle you in because it.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Is well said, this is just the company that's signed
- 3:24Speaker 1: up to be the shuttle that's a.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Bad and they're getting paid up front.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Yeah, because all those seats are gonna get torn out,
- 3:34Speaker 1: they're gonna trasm.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and we've already gotten arrest. People showed up on Monday.
- 3:39Speaker 2: We've already got arrest U Sorry, guys. Blunt Man is
- 3:44Speaker 2: currently being held with Candon County Jail.
- 3:46Speaker 3: And can.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I forgot Can you bring your own liquor into the venue.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I've always okay, That's the great thing about the Juggalos gathering.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I've always said is there are no rules I bring. Okay,
- 4:00Speaker 2: there's there's it's literally sell and by the way, sell
- 4:03Speaker 2: stuff drugs everywhere, molly weed, lsd etceterath that stuff.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Everybody's like showing off their buttholes again, like show me
- 4:11Speaker 1: your yes. That's like the greeting at.
- 4:14Speaker 2: The Juggalos that weed's legal in Missouri. But this guy apparently,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and I've got his his booking things pulled up here,
- 4:22Speaker 2: he was trafficking.
- 4:23Speaker 1: He brought so much weed. And by the way, how
- 4:25Speaker 1: do they know this.
- 4:26Speaker 2: That Michael Jones aka blunt Man, because he advertised on
- 4:28Speaker 2: the Juggalo Facebook.
- 4:29Speaker 1: The reason I'm masking, and I'm sure the cops aren't
- 4:32Speaker 1: keeping an eye on that.
- 4:33Speaker 3: No, No, to kind of know what to expect.
- 4:36Speaker 4: The reason I'm asking about it if you can bring
- 4:37Speaker 4: in your own liquor and then people being there so
- 4:39Speaker 4: early because sometimes with these festivals, people go to the
- 4:42Speaker 4: venue and they will bury alcohol.
- 4:46Speaker 1: No true, they'll happened on and like outside lands and
- 4:49Speaker 1: c with like an air tager.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Yeah, they'll just like bury it underground and then they
- 4:54Speaker 4: go cool for the festival and then they they take
- 4:56Speaker 4: it out of the well.
- 4:57Speaker 2: There's no one could get to this place ahead of time,
- 5:01Speaker 2: so that that yeah, but it's not necessary, man.
- 5:03Speaker 1: The places that were easier to get to, dude, people
- 5:05Speaker 1: were like hitch hiking across the country because they couldn't
- 5:09Speaker 1: even afford the bus ticket.
- 5:10Speaker 2: All right, I'm here, I'm on the message board right now. Well,
- 5:13Speaker 2: here's from Mike said, well, great, the bus has screwed me.
- 5:17Speaker 2: What that means? So he so he wasn't allowed on
- 5:20Speaker 2: the Greyhound.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Imagine being banned from grayhund.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I wonder if any homies from Oklahoma City are leaving
- 5:25Speaker 2: today so I can get a ride.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I only need I only need to get to Springfield.
- 5:29Speaker 1: What that's still pretty far? Yeah, like m as we
- 5:32Speaker 1: go the rest of the way.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Uh, this guy, here's here's another guy, Brandon. Need's a
- 5:36Speaker 2: ride from Jefferson City. One guy and one dog?
- 5:38Speaker 1: Please? Oh but you get that.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Dogs are brought to the gathering of the Jones, babies
- 5:43Speaker 2: are brought And by the way, you can't find a city, right, well,
- 5:47Speaker 2: you can't find slash a Ford.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Uh. And I've said this before.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I've stayed on site a couple of times, and it's
- 5:53Speaker 2: a nightmare because from sundown to about five am, it's
- 5:56Speaker 2: constant fireworks and anarchy. Right Ah, Yeah, there's the thieving
- 6:00Speaker 2: and all that stuff. But if you're yeah, criming and stuff.
- 6:04Speaker 3: In general, what is the most normal thing about the gathering?
- 6:08Speaker 3: Are there medics? There are there any sort of security?
- 6:12Speaker 3: That's also why anything normal that's also.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Boy, I'm worried because I have seen a medic before.
- 6:16Speaker 2: But that's again that's at these places that when it
- 6:18Speaker 2: was in Oklahoma City or outside of Columbus, I don't
- 6:22Speaker 2: know that they are gonna be able to get to
- 6:23Speaker 2: this is Nowhere'sville, Missouri, right so, and that with a
- 6:27Speaker 2: body of water there, and they have on the calendar
- 6:29Speaker 2: organized swimming drowning.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Is it true that the tickets are like three.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Hundred bucks, Well, yeah, they still got to pay all
- 6:38Speaker 2: these artists. And by all these artists, I mean Vanilla
- 6:40Speaker 2: Ice and Tech nine and then everybody else is a
- 6:43Speaker 2: Juggalo rapper.
- 6:43Speaker 1: That's why you can only afford to go once every
- 6:45Speaker 1: five years on a Juggalo salary.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Yeah, postings are about how I can't afford to go
- 6:49Speaker 2: this year, or somebody give me a hatchetman amulet or something.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So I can't wait to hear what Sea Best comes
- 6:56Speaker 1: back with from the gathering of Juggalos this year, if
- 6:59Speaker 1: he comes back back at all. But we do have
- 7:02Speaker 1: some clips that we're going to play for you coming
- 7:03Speaker 1: up next. Ghosts of Jugglers Pass like really some of
- 7:06Speaker 1: the best people, the more interesting people of all the
- 7:09Speaker 1: years how many years total have you gone? You've gone
- 7:11Speaker 1: at least and some of the more interesting people that
- 7:16Speaker 1: Sea Bass has met at the gathering gathering in the Juggalos,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I grab them and and as I'm running back, they're
- 7:23Speaker 1: paging my name. It's just the show paging mister Herman,
- 7:30Speaker 1: mister b Wee Herman. If I watched that movie today,
- 7:32Speaker 1: would I like it? I think so. Yeah, we watched
- 7:35Speaker 1: it recently. We were still unless Yeah, I mean super nostalgia.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think that's most of it.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Pee Wee eating mister t Cereal.
- 7:48Speaker 3: That's great.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I feel like I might.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I don't think. I do want to watch I haven't watched.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I want to watch the documentary, watch about I loved it.
- 8:01Speaker 1: My wife said it's great, It's really good.
- 8:03Speaker 3: She watched that. Gid you all right.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Can't wait to see what Sea Bass comes back with
- 8:08Speaker 1: from the Gathering of the Juggalos, all the insane clown
- 8:10Speaker 1: posse fans gathering in southern Missouri this year. If they
- 8:14Speaker 1: can make it, maybe that's why. Maybe they put it
- 8:16Speaker 1: in a place like that to keep the crowd down,
- 8:19Speaker 1: like you know what I mean, Like honestly, they kind
- 8:21Speaker 1: of keep the numbers down. They don't have to.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I mean, it's Jugglo gathering is well attended. But I've
- 8:26Speaker 2: never they've never sold out, Noah.
- 8:29Speaker 1: But I'm saying, like, you know, maybe to try to,
- 8:32Speaker 1: you know, quiet some of the chaos. So just keep
- 8:35Speaker 1: it in a more remote area, harder to get to.
- 8:39Speaker 1: It's like how families will do. Like if you're gonna
- 8:41Speaker 1: get married, you know you have a destination wedding to
- 8:44Speaker 1: cut out, knowing that most people won't be able to.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Make it interesting theory, but yeah, that would be as smart.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but we've met some real characters over the years
- 8:53Speaker 1: that Sea Bass has brought back from gathering of the
- 8:55Speaker 1: Juggalos Ghosts of Jugglos pass.
- 8:57Speaker 2: This is my personal favorite. And this is a man
- 8:59Speaker 2: who so he blew up the internet some almost ten
- 9:02Speaker 2: years ago when it was a clown at the gathering
- 9:05Speaker 2: and he was just out there eating people's feet.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Oh flip Flop clown.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yeah, uh, he is still alive. I have some more
- 9:12Speaker 2: news about flip Flop in a second. But I walked
- 9:14Speaker 2: upon him back in twenty seventeen while he was eating feet.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Yeah, feet down there.
- 9:24Speaker 1: That was some good proteins right there.
- 9:26Speaker 3: So flip Flop, what did you just do?
- 9:29Speaker 1: I ate some feet? And why he loved feet so much?
- 9:31Speaker 1: Flip Flop, It's like asking why do you breathe there?
- 9:35Speaker 3: It's just like that's right, yeah, it's correct.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Flip up the clown. He was often credited for launching
- 9:40Speaker 2: the career of All Gas No Breaks, which they had
- 9:43Speaker 2: become Channel five News, the Andrew Callahan because he was
- 9:45Speaker 2: one of I think he was at that same convention,
- 9:46Speaker 2: same juggler gathering I was, and you just see this
- 9:49Speaker 2: clown eating feet, like all right, yeah, that's what happens
- 9:51Speaker 2: at the gathering of the Juggalos. Then he became a
- 9:54Speaker 2: star and fortunately flip Flop is probably retired now.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Oh no.
- 9:58Speaker 2: A few years after that he he went to several gatherings,
- 10:02Speaker 2: but he got.
- 10:03Speaker 3: He developed foot allergy.
- 10:05Speaker 1: He got mad.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Because the juggalos were like, they would love to take
- 10:08Speaker 2: photos with him because he was like the big celebrity,
- 10:09Speaker 2: but they wouldn't pay for him to go and stuff
- 10:11Speaker 2: like that. Right, And now just recently his YouTube and
- 10:17Speaker 2: his Instagram pages have been deleted. I guess it's semi
- 10:21Speaker 2: sexual and a lot of his rapping and songs were about,
- 10:23Speaker 2: you know, doing things that people's toes and stuff of
- 10:25Speaker 2: that nature.
- 10:26Speaker 1: So well, all right, you know what it was. It
- 10:28Speaker 1: was a good run. He flew too close to the sun.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Ye what's what? What's the quote, don't don't cry because
- 10:34Speaker 1: it's over.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Because it happened. Later that same year, actually, the Juggalos
- 10:41Speaker 2: decided to march on Washington, d C. Why because the
- 10:44Speaker 2: FBI had labeled them a sort of a gang. They said, Juggals, like,
- 10:50Speaker 2: what is a Juggalo? Well, they're just fans of ICP.
- 10:52Speaker 2: They happened to do a lot of criminal activity while
- 10:54Speaker 2: they're together, but that doesn't mean they're a gang, and
- 10:58Speaker 2: so ICP. The band went up to in front of
- 11:00Speaker 2: the Lincoln Memorial Monument whatever and had a big old rally. Uh.
- 11:06Speaker 2: And while they were there, though, violent Jay, the big
- 11:09Speaker 2: that's the fat of the two uh Juggle of the rappers.
- 11:12Speaker 2: He told these these Juggalos, Hey, while you're here, I
- 11:15Speaker 2: know what's your Your natural tendency is to act up
- 11:17Speaker 2: and do bad things. But don't do that.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Don't tell them what they want.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Don't be the criminals they're saying we are in front
- 11:25Speaker 4: of them, don't be the Fox, the.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Vandals and the hoodlums.
- 11:30Speaker 3: They're claiming we are while they're looking.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they're looking. Yeah again, he knows what's going on. Yep,
- 11:40Speaker 1: the ghosts of Juggalos past. This is another Lady Wren.
- 11:44Speaker 2: She was at the gathering and she kind of just
- 11:46Speaker 2: zoned out by herself telling me about not only her
- 11:50Speaker 2: her past, but her her future Juggalo ideas.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Back in twenty eleven, I gave my kids down a
- 12:00Speaker 1: job on the Bears Wheel. Where are your kids right now?
- 12:03Speaker 1: They're hanging out with you, with you gathering.
- 12:04Speaker 2: So there are kids here right there are our kids
- 12:07Speaker 2: are kind of scattered with their parents, and then my
- 12:10Speaker 2: eldest is here.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I don't want to say it's chaos because this is normal.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Yeah, magic, this is Carnival exactly.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Yeah, totally right.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I think Gina and Sammy caught that their parents aren't
- 12:24Speaker 1: you their MoMA.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Parents.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I think these are two term parents loosely. But yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 2: that's that's a that's a fan. That's an easy cover
- 12:33Speaker 2: word that dumb people use when to extravag the experience.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Magical.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but what that is like she said, it's just chaos,
- 12:38Speaker 2: It's it's insanity. It's it's drugs and it's magical, but
- 12:42Speaker 2: let's call it things magical.
- 12:43Speaker 3: And that cover of the ghost of Jugglos past.
- 12:46Speaker 2: This is uh, you'll recognize this clip in a minute.
- 12:48Speaker 2: But Zach was talking to me about how, despite their
- 12:51Speaker 2: being called family and everybody's friends, when they're at the
- 12:53Speaker 2: Juggalo gathering, we've heard dozens of stories from the juggalo's
- 12:58Speaker 2: mouths how they get stuff stolen. I seen Juggalos being
- 13:00Speaker 2: chased through the gathering because they stole from other people,
- 13:04Speaker 2: because because they're all poor and they're all grimy, and
- 13:06Speaker 2: they're all thieves. Yeah, and so Zach said he's not
- 13:10Speaker 2: going to allow that from his Juggalos. I am afraid
- 13:12Speaker 2: it went to all the backstabbing colar with all the thieves.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Damn mo.
- 13:22Speaker 1: We have used that clip for the years.
- 13:24Speaker 2: So yeah, he was getting into like, hey, I'm sorry
- 13:26Speaker 2: about these thieves out here. But the crowd was like, hey,
- 13:29Speaker 2: let's just if we can't family loud, nothing matter, sure.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I like Harry mid Yeah, I ever wonder what these
- 13:37Speaker 1: people do the other fifty one weeks of the year.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I'll save up to go to the gathering.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I will say again, join their their Facebook groups if
- 13:45Speaker 2: you can find any message boards, because it's it's an
- 13:47Speaker 2: interesting story into the lives of these people outside of
- 13:50Speaker 2: the gathering.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Hasn't been a documentary.
- 13:53Speaker 2: There have been little ones here and there. Yeah, like
- 13:55Speaker 2: the Channel five one.
- 13:56Speaker 1: The Ghosts of Juggalos past, this juggle Let You one.
- 14:00Speaker 2: I think this is There's two. There's two female contests.
- 14:02Speaker 2: There's the Juggle mis jrugg Let Contest and the Wet
- 14:04Speaker 2: t Shirt Contest. And I think she won the Wet
- 14:07Speaker 2: t Shirt Contest, which is basically a live sex show.
- 14:10Speaker 2: You did something on stage though that I thought should
- 14:12Speaker 2: have won.
- 14:13Speaker 3: What was that?
- 14:14Speaker 1: A bucket and my deported my mouth and then I
- 14:18Speaker 1: also made.
- 14:19Speaker 3: My panties disappear.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Oh panty stuffing.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I love magic, right, she made them disappear, not in
- 14:24Speaker 2: her mouth, but the only other place on a woman
- 14:27Speaker 2: that could fit a panty. Okay, terrific after doing something
- 14:30Speaker 2: in a bucket and yeah, just like just like any
- 14:33Speaker 2: old wet T shirt contests.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Like most pageants.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I talked to her about her talents.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I got asked, is that a move that you practice?
- 14:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I've done it before.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, yeah, so jump off a few what do
- 14:48Speaker 3: you call it? Party tricks?
- 14:50Speaker 1: What else can you make disappear?
- 14:52Speaker 4: I can actually shoot, yeah, exactly, would watch that.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I'll get the juggle list credit. And that's why I've
- 14:59Speaker 2: said you should go once in your life. It is
- 15:01Speaker 2: no holds barred. It is they don't give a crap
- 15:03Speaker 2: about nudity, sexual acts again, drug use. If you're into
- 15:07Speaker 2: that sort of thing that you will, you might die.
- 15:09Speaker 2: People have there's no saying yeah yeah again. Your life
- 15:12Speaker 2: is in your own hands.
- 15:13Speaker 1: But if you're okay with that courage, good. We got
- 15:17Speaker 1: time for one more the ghosts of Juggalos past.
- 15:19Speaker 2: And speaking of past, this is a guy who was
- 15:22Speaker 2: He's just a cool dude. His name's Alaska. He was
- 15:23Speaker 2: well known amongst the Juggalos. And I was just talking
- 15:26Speaker 2: to him about why he's there.
- 15:27Speaker 1: What is your name? Party with Alaska?
- 15:33Speaker 3: I ain't motioning around, moves around.
- 15:39Speaker 2: And what number gathering is this for you?
- 15:43Speaker 1: This is my home. You ain't here, You ain't here,
- 15:50Speaker 1: you're not partying with Alaska?
- 15:53Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:54Speaker 2: Man, all right, Well I think I've been doing life wrong.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Well he has done, yes, Greg Alaska has died.
- 16:05Speaker 3: He was legit homeless, right.
- 16:08Speaker 1: He came from Alaska. He can be there in the
- 16:11Speaker 1: spirit yeah r P. Yeah, Well, I can't wait to
- 16:14Speaker 1: see who we meet this year and the gathering of
- 16:17Speaker 1: the Juggalos in southern Missouri. Seas will be on the
- 16:21Speaker 1: scene and he will come back with a full.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Report, hopefully for us here.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Hopefully he will come back if he makes it back, but.
- 16:31Speaker 2: I will.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Coming up this hour, we're going to talk to rich
- 16:33Speaker 1: de muro Rich on tech. He's got a lot of
- 16:36Speaker 1: stuff to share with us. And there's been so many
- 16:39Speaker 1: stories about the different scamps. You know that people are
- 16:43Speaker 1: using tech to pull off. He's got to be super careful,
- 16:48Speaker 1: so he's got some insight on some of that. Somebody
- 16:51Speaker 1: had just texted us actually saying, I'm way behind on
- 16:54Speaker 1: you guys' podcast. G U I s E S. I
- 16:58Speaker 1: speak that language, we get it. But I'm listening to
- 17:02Speaker 1: you guys talking about one of the scams. My coworker
- 17:04Speaker 1: got scam last year and a lot of her money
- 17:06Speaker 1: got taken out of her Wells Fargo account. It turned
- 17:09Speaker 1: out it was an inside job. It was another Wells
- 17:11Speaker 1: Fargo employee. Yeah, so not even didn't click on something
- 17:16Speaker 1: you weren't supposed to click on or whatever, just an inside
- 17:18Speaker 1: job that still happens. That's so old timing. You can
- 17:21Speaker 1: protect yourself as good as you can.
- 17:22Speaker 3: But yeah, that was my huge fear about a week ago.
- 17:26Speaker 3: If you go on your banking app and it says
- 17:27Speaker 3: zero and they just say we don't know who you are,
- 17:31Speaker 3: huh huh what money?
- 17:32Speaker 1: Yeah, so rich de Muro have some stuff on that
- 17:36Speaker 1: for you. Oh, speaking of technology, here Sea Bass credit
- 17:41Speaker 1: where credit is due. There's a friend of mine and
- 17:45Speaker 1: I judged him harshly. He bought his son a Tesla
- 17:51Speaker 1: as his first car. The kid just started driving. Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 1: and he bought him a Tesla Model three. What are
- 17:57Speaker 1: you doing man? He goes, well, first of all, you
- 17:59Speaker 1: can get a crazy deal on these Tesla's because you know,
- 18:04Speaker 1: the resale value and the resale market on those things
- 18:07Speaker 1: is garbage, and so yeah, so you can get like
- 18:10Speaker 1: some crazy cheaper than what he said. He could have
- 18:13Speaker 1: gotten maybe something else for right, But he mentioned something
- 18:18Speaker 1: that I thought was pretty cool and I didn't know
- 18:19Speaker 1: you could do this. Uh, there's teen mode on Tesla's
- 18:24Speaker 1: that the parents can set where the car won't go
- 18:26Speaker 1: over a certain speed limit and it has all they like,
- 18:29Speaker 1: It has all kinds of stuff built into it. I
- 18:32Speaker 1: thought of the super strict parent Jeff Garcia, and how
- 18:36Speaker 1: maybe like he would be in favor of something like this.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Now we have the Life three sixty app that we
- 18:41Speaker 1: use for the kids, so even when my son goes
- 18:43Speaker 1: off with his friends, we could see like how fast
- 18:46Speaker 1: that they're driving around, you know, because it's other teen drivers.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Right and things like that limits none at all. But
- 18:52Speaker 3: like that's the thing.
- 18:53Speaker 1: My body was able to use this teen mode in
- 18:56Speaker 1: these in these Tesla's, which I thought was interesting. So
- 18:59Speaker 1: credit where credit is doing. That's a pretty cool feature.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Yeah, And you might say, well, the kids will find
- 19:03Speaker 2: the way around it. I mean unless the dad gives
- 19:05Speaker 2: them his.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Pin, right, that's the thin.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah. It's like when you set valet mode on Tesla.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I've seen it on the on the Tesla you have
- 19:12Speaker 1: to set thing. So the the valet mode kind of
- 19:15Speaker 1: does the same thing. It sets a word. It's a
- 19:17Speaker 1: maximum speed them. I think it's maybe fifty miles an hour.
- 19:19Speaker 1: So you can't take it out and you know, go
- 19:22Speaker 1: tearing around. I can't pair new phones with it, right,
- 19:25Speaker 1: It doesn't bring up any of your your locations from
- 19:28Speaker 1: the navigation history, know where your home is.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Yeah, things like that.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Lucky enough for my kids, they'll never get a Tesla.
- 19:34Speaker 2: So that story about it, well there, I mean it's
- 19:37Speaker 2: not for my first car was several hundreds of dollars,
- 19:40Speaker 2: but it's it's under forty grand, which by you know,
- 19:42Speaker 2: today's standards, is not bad at all. And that new
- 19:45Speaker 2: or brand new, yeah yeah, brand new used to like
- 19:49Speaker 2: twenty grand.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Yeah, you can get probably even better than that.
- 19:52Speaker 2: And I'll put another cherry on this Sunday. A lot
- 19:55Speaker 2: of people are saying now that the Tesla's self driving
- 19:59Speaker 2: is actually a good way for especially teenagers to get
- 20:02Speaker 2: used to driving, because you might say, well, it's not
- 20:04Speaker 2: teaching them skills, it's also keeping them from doing maniacal
- 20:07Speaker 2: things because a lot of a lot of the kid
- 20:10Speaker 2: that's like the number one death for teenagers is because
- 20:13Speaker 2: especially boys, we love doing insanely dumb things in our
- 20:16Speaker 2: brand new cars.
- 20:17Speaker 3: If I had a teenage boy, I would not sleep
- 20:20Speaker 3: ever again because and I wouldn't let them drive. I
- 20:23Speaker 3: don't think I would allow we.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Were doing things on the we could have killed ourselves
- 20:27Speaker 1: so many times.
- 20:29Speaker 4: The favorite thing they do in my automatic car was
- 20:31Speaker 4: go super fast, and reverse and then throw it into dry.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I did that in my van, are going thirty What
- 20:39Speaker 3: if it's my thrown out in reverse totally blast cars
- 20:42Speaker 3: on a blind curve with the double yellow line. Idiot.
- 20:45Speaker 1: But I'm thinking, if you get into a situation, you know,
- 20:47Speaker 1: with Sea bass is bringing up, you get into a
- 20:49Speaker 1: situation where all of a sudden you start to you know,
- 20:52Speaker 1: panic or yeah, autopilot exactly, that would be nice. The
- 20:57Speaker 1: first time my buddy Peter was driving, not a nut
- 21:00Speaker 1: experience in the situation. At least get out of this
- 21:02Speaker 1: one and learn from it.
- 21:03Speaker 2: The first thing we did is he was he was
- 21:05Speaker 2: merging onto an interstate. He got to a complete stop
- 21:08Speaker 2: on the on ramps, which as people blow them by
- 21:10Speaker 2: you at sixty five miles pour because he was nervous
- 21:13Speaker 2: and what he's doing.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Yeah, this one says it goes further than that. You
- 21:15Speaker 1: can see inside of the car, you can watch the cameras,
- 21:17Speaker 1: you can see their destination.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Wow, yeah, Jeff, you'd love that, buddy.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I could see it with their location already.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just thinking, man, is this is less hackable
- 21:27Speaker 1: than Yeah, you know, Jeff would love this. I love it, man,
- 21:29Speaker 1: anything I could do to keep tabs on my kids
- 21:31Speaker 1: because I was once them, so I know how bad
- 21:34Speaker 1: it can get.
- 21:34Speaker 3: But they're much better than I was.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Yeah don't. I don't hate it for the simple reason
- 21:37Speaker 1: that until my son turns eighteen, the liability is on you.
- 21:41Speaker 1: So if they're in some kind of accident or whatever,
- 21:44Speaker 1: that liability comes back on you, which is why, you know,
- 21:47Speaker 1: all my insurance agents everybody else is telling me my
- 21:50Speaker 1: financial advisor like they're going, hey, look man, the day
- 21:53Speaker 1: your son turns eighteen, boot him. You put him on
- 21:57Speaker 1: his own policy. You put whatever car he's currently driving
- 22:00Speaker 1: in his name, because they can go after him. He
- 22:03Speaker 1: ain't got nothing. Yeah, good luck, Yeah, good luck. At
- 22:06Speaker 1: that point, it doesn't come back on you. So not
- 22:08Speaker 1: terrible idea. In the meantime, let's try to limit that
- 22:11Speaker 1: liability as best you can. You fully shut down the car,
- 22:14Speaker 1: probably too right remotely much, I bet you.
- 22:16Speaker 2: I can't have my phone. I don't know, but oh
- 22:19Speaker 2: the summon mode is bad ass.
- 22:22Speaker 3: I've never wit so I can do it.
- 22:24Speaker 2: So some it's where it's I got it on the
- 22:27Speaker 2: cyber truck. Now it's where you are. If you're let's
- 22:29Speaker 2: say you walk out of a store and your car's
- 22:31Speaker 2: parked far away. Oh summons, Yeah, I couldn't tell what
- 22:34Speaker 2: you're saying. It'll it'll drive to you. Now, it'll basically
- 22:37Speaker 2: pick you up at the Yeah. Now, sadly it won't
- 22:40Speaker 2: do it on public roads. It'll it has to be
- 22:42Speaker 2: in a parking lot, private, which that he could if
- 22:44Speaker 2: it wanted to.
- 22:45Speaker 1: But you know, I hope it doesn't do it in
- 22:46Speaker 1: our parking lot. Seabast is trying to show off, Like
- 22:49Speaker 1: I said, let me see this. He's like, oh, self driving,
- 22:52Speaker 1: self driving, and he goes, okay, he type of thing
- 22:55Speaker 1: he activate and it started pulling him in the wrong direction.
- 22:58Speaker 1: He's like, actually on the ground decks. It's not great.
- 23:02Speaker 1: It wasn't great. It wasn't great in our parking ground.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Did not worry anything above grind. It is a okay
- 23:06Speaker 2: and I've done it. I've done it in our back
- 23:07Speaker 2: little parking deck. I stood on the street and our
- 23:09Speaker 2: little pulling spot with all the garbage cans.
- 23:11Speaker 1: It came like up the little hills. What we heard
- 23:17Speaker 1: how the Nissan Ultima is being discontinued. Also being discontinued
- 23:21Speaker 1: this year is the four to Escape. Oh damn about
- 23:24Speaker 1: that doesn't measure up to the rivals anymore. The Tesla
- 23:27Speaker 1: model S right because of the right become an afterthought.
- 23:31Speaker 1: The Jaguar F Pace, now this is the last combustion
- 23:34Speaker 1: engine for Jaguar. They're going fully electric. That'll be awesome
- 23:38Speaker 1: for that. The Toyota GR Supra, the Toyota b MD
- 23:42Speaker 1: BMW partnership that came to an end, so that car
- 23:45Speaker 1: is done. And then the Volkswagen I D four again
- 23:50Speaker 1: doesn't measure up to what the other companies and stuff
- 23:52Speaker 1: are doing. So I p rip to all of those
- 23:55Speaker 1: fine vehicles. Eight wood You can send us a text
- 23:59Speaker 1: check in over to two two nine eighty seven. We've
- 24:01Speaker 1: got some more Woody Show for you next day. Don't
- 24:03Speaker 1: you leave me. You're alone the Woody Show.
