Honor for Hank Nava on Loop 820 | Texas News
A stretch of Loop 820 in Fort Worth now proudly bears the name of fallen Officer Henry “Hank” Nava Junior, nearly 21 years after his heroic sacrifice in the line of duty. Shot while arresting a parole violator in 2005, Hank died two days later after 17 years of dedicated service across three departments. The Fort Worth City Council approved the memorial signage in 2025, honoring the route between I-35W and Marine Creek Parkway. His widow, Teresa Nava-Salazar, thanked the Fort Worth Police Officers Association and Councilmember Charlie Lauersdorf for making it possible, declaring Hank’s legacy…
