- 0:09Speaker 1: Advice.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Welcome to the Naughty and I sham your house rubs shooter.
- 0:17Speaker 2: And it is Wednesday, which means I do your friend.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Donnie Meecham joins us. Donny, we missed you last week.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Welcome back. How are you?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Two weeks in a row, my friend? Two weeks in
- 0:29Speaker 1: a row? Oh I know this voice, imagine Rob.
- 0:34Speaker 2: So we missed you. I was marvelous by Michelle. Thank you.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I got so many nice comments. But it is nice
- 0:42Speaker 2: to have your back. Donnie, we missed you. I look
- 0:45Speaker 2: forward to our wednesdays. You make me laugh, you make
- 0:49Speaker 2: me smile. Well, I hope it's just with you, not
- 0:52Speaker 2: at you. It is, it's with you a little above. Okay,
- 0:55Speaker 2: let's jump into the show. What time is it, my friends?
- 0:59Speaker 2: It is time. I love the story at the top
- 1:01Speaker 2: of the show. We're a happy podcast here. So sometimes
- 1:03Speaker 2: we have to cover the bad stuff because it does
- 1:05Speaker 2: happen in the new Celebrities get in trouble. All that
- 1:07Speaker 2: Matthew Perry stuff got me a bit blue. All the
- 1:10Speaker 2: stuff going on with Taylor Swift and the terroristic attempted
- 1:13Speaker 2: plot against that got me a bit blue. I even
- 1:15Speaker 2: heard from some of the noughties saying that they understand
- 1:19Speaker 2: why I'm doing these stories. They're the biggest stories of
- 1:21Speaker 2: the day. But today we've just got a lovely little
- 1:23Speaker 2: story that really has nothing to do with anything, but
- 1:25Speaker 2: it just made me smile. So we're going to jump
- 1:27Speaker 2: into a bit of happiness. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Gardner
- 1:31Speaker 2: reunited to take their daughter Violet to college. This is
- 1:34Speaker 2: so adorable. So Violet is are smarty pans. She is
- 1:37Speaker 2: going to Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Very fancy.
- 1:42Speaker 2: I'm eighteen years old, set to start as a freshman.
- 1:45Speaker 2: And over the weekend we spotted Ben and Jennifer Gardner
- 1:49Speaker 2: not the other one in the town, going shopping together,
- 1:54Speaker 2: going to buy all the things you have to buy
- 1:56Speaker 2: when you start, a little college room, when you leave,
- 1:59Speaker 2: leave your family and your first taste of independence. We
- 2:02Speaker 2: also saw them having dinner together as a family with
- 2:07Speaker 2: fifteen year old Sarah Fina. I didn't see Samuel. They
- 2:10Speaker 2: also have a son, Samuel. So last month, Violet made
- 2:14Speaker 2: headlines when she spoke at a Los Angeles County Board
- 2:16Speaker 2: of Supervisors meeting revealing that she had contracted a post
- 2:21Speaker 2: viral condition in twenty nineteen. That's why photographs of her
- 2:25Speaker 2: she's always wearing a mask. Good for you, but she
- 2:28Speaker 2: assures everybody she'say, okay now, but what do you think?
- 2:30Speaker 2: Can you imagine moving into Yale? It's a huge accomplishment,
- 2:34Speaker 2: well done. It really is something that we should tip
- 2:37Speaker 2: our hats to. Moving into Yale. And who's helping you
- 2:41Speaker 2: carry your boxes and your bags and your suitcases? Ben
- 2:44Speaker 2: Affleck Batman and Jennifer Gardner. That must be something on campus.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yes, well, I mean Jennifer Garner, who would be the one.
- 2:53Speaker 1: The thing is is, I just couldn't imagine you're sitting
- 2:56Speaker 1: because there's pictures of them and they're out there sitting
- 2:58Speaker 1: at lunch and they're having would you imadgin? You're just
- 3:00Speaker 1: looking across from you and you're like, mom, it's Jennifer Garner,
- 3:04Speaker 1: Like what, It's just something about it, so I will.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I tickled.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I laughed so hard because it doesn't matter what Ben
- 3:11Speaker 1: is doing. He has RBF and if you know what
- 3:14Speaker 1: RBS stands for, he has resting face. He just looks mad. Yes,
- 3:21Speaker 1: he's just like he's happy his daughter Gordiyale and he's
- 3:24Speaker 1: just like, oh, where's my sick? Right like that?
- 3:26Speaker 2: He just look at it. Grumpy, doesn't he you do
- 3:29Speaker 2: not well? Sometimes you're the opposite. You in real life
- 3:33Speaker 2: have a very happy face and a big smile. But
- 3:35Speaker 2: every time I pull out my camera to take a picture,
- 3:38Speaker 2: Oh you do blue Steel, you do a frown, Donnie.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever seen a photograph of you smiling.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I don't want to give people the wrong impression. Rob,
- 3:46Speaker 1: I don't make them make that I'm happy.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Being good, saying kind things, being a better angels is
- 3:55Speaker 2: something I really strive for. And I think we can
- 3:58Speaker 2: see this in sole lilebrities and our friends. You just
- 4:02Speaker 2: know the happy ones. I know them, and that's the
- 4:04Speaker 2: team I want to be on. When I look at
- 4:06Speaker 2: all my friends at university or even at high school
- 4:09Speaker 2: or primary school when I was very very young, there's
- 4:12Speaker 2: always the grumpy gang, and there's always the happy gang.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Normally the theater kids and the arty, farty kids. They're
- 4:18Speaker 2: the happy ones in my experience, and the people that
- 4:20Speaker 2: in dance class, what was the football team that was
- 4:22Speaker 2: a bit mean at my school, I always hung out
- 4:26Speaker 2: with the happy kids, and now in life I hang
- 4:28Speaker 2: out with the happy adults too, and so I like
- 4:31Speaker 2: this getting back together to drop Violet off at university.
- 4:35Speaker 2: It's such a big thing. Donnie, I don't know, did
- 4:37Speaker 2: you go to university.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I did go to college, which yes, here in America
- 4:43Speaker 1: it's college, but I didn't go to like a traditional
- 4:48Speaker 1: I went two years at a what they called community college.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So yeah, it was twenty dollars a credit when I
- 4:55Speaker 1: was going, which it's not twenty dollars credit anymore. And
- 4:58Speaker 1: then I finished the last two years online, so.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Oh great, great, it's hard work. You did the work.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Universe, Yeah, experience though.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I was so lucky. I was the first person in
- 5:10Speaker 2: my family to go to university. My three olders and
- 5:12Speaker 2: brothers and sisters did not. Christine did eventually. And it
- 5:16Speaker 2: wasn't about the studying that was important. It was about
- 5:20Speaker 2: learning how to be an adult, to learning how to
- 5:22Speaker 2: do my laundry, learning how to get out of bed,
- 5:23Speaker 2: learning how to be responsible, and so I really really
- 5:26Speaker 2: loved it. It was a big deal. I cried the first
- 5:28Speaker 2: night my mom and dad dropped me off in Edinburgh,
- 5:31Speaker 2: and then they left and I remember being in this
- 5:33Speaker 2: little tiny room in this dormitory with people I didn't know,
- 5:37Speaker 2: and I was so so sad. But I also was
- 5:39Speaker 2: excited to start a new life. I hope Violet is
- 5:42Speaker 2: feeling the same two which brings us to our whole
- 5:45Speaker 2: question of the day. We spotted Ben Affleck and Jennifer
- 5:49Speaker 2: Garner reuniting to take their daughter Violet to college. She's
- 5:55Speaker 2: at Yale. Our question's very cheeky today. Should jayl I'll
- 6:00Speaker 2: have joined them? Should Jennifer have turned up? I don't
- 6:03Speaker 2: know if she was invited, But is this part of
- 6:05Speaker 2: the family they are one big, blended family or is
- 6:09Speaker 2: this a moment just for Jennifer Gardner and then Affleck?
- 6:12Speaker 2: What do you think? Hey? Go vote should Jaylo have
- 6:14Speaker 2: joined them? Yes? Or no? Go vote on our Twitter page.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I'm notty nice role, but on Facebook page, which is
- 6:20Speaker 2: not a gossip as shire to check back tomorrow to
- 6:24Speaker 2: hear your results. Hey Donnie, what are you working on?
- 6:28Speaker 1: Not to sway the vote? But if I was ja Loo,
- 6:30Speaker 1: I would have booked the table next to them reservations
- 6:33Speaker 1: and acted like I wasn't there.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Not a word.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I would just set there next to them and just
- 6:36Speaker 1: with my glasses on and it just that would have
- 6:39Speaker 1: been me. But AnyWho, Brad pitt And has a lot
- 6:43Speaker 1: going on. You know, his son Packs with Angela Jolie
- 6:47Speaker 1: is still recovering from his electric bike accident. And now
- 6:53Speaker 1: Shiloh was granted a name change. She will go by
- 6:56Speaker 1: Shiloh Joe Lee. And do you know what Brad Pitt
- 6:59Speaker 1: does all this is happening, He went to Italy just
- 7:02Speaker 1: to catch up with his friend George Klooner. Now I
- 7:05Speaker 1: get it. You still have to have it live. You
- 7:07Speaker 1: have to, you know, go and you have to have friends.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Him and George have been friends forever. They've worked on
- 7:12Speaker 1: a ton of films together. But it just, I don't
- 7:15Speaker 1: know why. For me, it's not a good look you have.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I think who you are as a human being is
- 7:25Speaker 1: portrayed a lot in who you are as a father.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And I think, you know, who Brandon might be is
- 7:33Speaker 1: this person that his kids are seeing and his kids
- 7:35Speaker 1: are knowing. And so for me, it does make me
- 7:39Speaker 1: have a different viewpoint on him as a human being.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I think he's an amazing actor, he's an amazing producer.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I just I would have liked to see him jet
- 7:49Speaker 1: off maybe to La to see Packs or maybe you know,
- 7:54Speaker 1: he could have set down for lunch with Shiloh, and
- 7:58Speaker 1: you know, just something other than heading to ladies. George Bny, I.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Hear you, I hear My instinct was the opposite. I thought,
- 8:05Speaker 2: oh gosh, he needs his friends. And I've been in
- 8:08Speaker 2: those positions in my life sometimes, even with family who
- 8:11Speaker 2: have let me down or I've let them down, and
- 8:13Speaker 2: I needed to be with my friends. The difference is
- 8:16Speaker 2: is I'm friends with you and miss d and not
- 8:17Speaker 2: George Clooney. So I'm not flying to Lake to have
- 8:22Speaker 2: a fabulous time. Can you imagine? I'd rather be with
- 8:27Speaker 2: you too at Potino's. And so I do understand needing
- 8:31Speaker 2: your friends. When you have as much money as Brad,
- 8:33Speaker 2: you can travel pretty much anywhere. What was interesting to
- 8:35Speaker 2: me is he was traveling solo his girlfriend and nest Ramona,
- 8:40Speaker 2: who has been with now quite a while, she wasn't
- 8:42Speaker 2: with him, So it looks like it's a boy's weekend.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I'm told that a mole Clooney is there, so it's
- 8:47Speaker 2: going to be a male George and Brad. Maybe they're
- 8:50Speaker 2: going to help him sort of get through this. You're right,
- 8:53Speaker 2: he has a son that's just got out of hospital,
- 8:55Speaker 2: he has a daughter, Shiloh, who's dropped his last name,
- 8:58Speaker 2: and so I would like him too, to see him
- 9:01Speaker 2: make an effort. I'm told behind the scenes he's trying,
- 9:04Speaker 2: but I'm told that this is a losing battle at
- 9:07Speaker 2: this point. Friends are important. Friends are important. Okay, moving along,
- 9:11Speaker 2: Blake Lively is under fire again, this time because she
- 9:15Speaker 2: didn't apologize for a comment she made to a reporter
- 9:20Speaker 2: who was interviewing her. So Blake is at the center
- 9:22Speaker 2: of a controversy. All this stuff is coming out about her,
- 9:25Speaker 2: and the main thing that is sticking is that six
- 9:27Speaker 2: years ago she did an interview with a journalist and
- 9:29Speaker 2: the journalist was so upset about this interview it was awful.
- 9:33Speaker 2: In twenty sixteen, the reporter said she nearly quit the business.
- 9:37Speaker 2: She complimented Blake on her baby bump. She was pregnant
- 9:41Speaker 2: at the time, and Blake was a bit sarcastic back,
- 9:45Speaker 2: making a remark not terribly kind. Now the reporter is
- 9:48Speaker 2: saying that she suffers actually with infertility and that this
- 9:52Speaker 2: reaction from Blake broke her heart. Now Blake didn't know that,
- 9:55Speaker 2: and we have to remember that in life, you only
- 9:57Speaker 2: know one or two percent of what's going on in
- 10:00Speaker 2: somebody else's head. In fact, the only person that you
- 10:03Speaker 2: have one hundred percent of all the information about is yourself,
- 10:06Speaker 2: nobody else. So when somebody says something, they didn't know that.
- 10:10Speaker 2: So I'm going to give Blake a bit of a
- 10:11Speaker 2: pass here. But what's alarming to me, Donnie, is that
- 10:14Speaker 2: she hasn't said anything since and now she knows it.
- 10:16Speaker 2: It's out there, It's everywhere in the press, So Blake
- 10:19Speaker 2: knows it. She has a publicist. They must have told
- 10:21Speaker 2: her what's going on. If they haven't, they should be fired.
- 10:24Speaker 2: She needs a good publicist here. But this is just
- 10:26Speaker 2: one of many stories, Donnie. I spoke to a mutual
- 10:31Speaker 2: friend of ours who we once had dinner with Ata Rosa, Mexicana,
- 10:36Speaker 2: no names, darnay. She told me that she did a
- 10:39Speaker 2: pre interview with Blake for a big TV show and
- 10:42Speaker 2: Blake hung up. She asked a question that Blake didn't like,
- 10:46Speaker 2: and Blake hung up on the pre interview instead of saying, oh,
- 10:49Speaker 2: I don't want to talk about that on the show. Snap.
- 10:52Speaker 2: So I think Blake here might be maybe not quite
- 10:56Speaker 2: as nice as what we want to believe. They always
- 11:00Speaker 2: happened to, Donnie. It's like a damn, isn't it When
- 11:02Speaker 2: you pull your finger out, it explodes. I've seen this
- 11:05Speaker 2: with people who are my friends, not not celebrities, but
- 11:08Speaker 2: I've always like been like, oh, I'm not quite sure
- 11:10Speaker 2: about that, Donnie Meacham. And then somebody says, well, he
- 11:12Speaker 2: did this to me and did this to them and this,
- 11:14Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh, it's all adding up now. I
- 11:17Speaker 2: think the SAME's going on here with Blake.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it all stems from so she has
- 11:23Speaker 1: a huge hit film though with It ends with us
- 11:25Speaker 1: with Justin Baldonie. And the thing is is there have
- 11:28Speaker 1: been a lot of rumors about the relationship between her
- 11:32Speaker 1: and Justin on set, and then it was made worse
- 11:36Speaker 1: by the two of them doing literally zero press together,
- 11:42Speaker 1: and then pictures came out of them, you know, being
- 11:44Speaker 1: quite animated on set towards each other. And you know,
- 11:49Speaker 1: it's hard because then I want to go and like,
- 11:51Speaker 1: of course we're blaming the woman and we're saying it's
- 11:53Speaker 1: the woman's phone. But then you have stories like this
- 11:56Speaker 1: that come out. Granted, I think we should all realize
- 11:59Speaker 1: this was eighty years ago. Blake was a younger person,
- 12:03Speaker 1: I think, coming off the fame of gossip Girl, which
- 12:06Speaker 1: is one of the biggest TV shows at the two.
- 12:09Speaker 1: You know, Blake thought she was, you know, an A lister,
- 12:13Speaker 1: which she isn't her own, right, I mean, she's no,
- 12:16Speaker 1: you know, not Julia Roberts. But so I can give
- 12:19Speaker 1: her a little bit of a pass in thinking that
- 12:21Speaker 1: she was young and maybe she's better now, but she
- 12:25Speaker 1: needs to reach out.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, for all that is true, Donny, and I
- 12:29Speaker 2: hope it is and she is better now. I'd reach out.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I DM this reporter. She's easy to find online, just
- 12:35Speaker 2: m saying I'm so sorry. I didn't. I didn't know
- 12:37Speaker 2: this and it was eight years ago, and I wouldn't
- 12:39Speaker 2: behave like that now. I like. I like saying sorry.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I do. I've got really good at it, and I
- 12:44Speaker 2: really mean it too. I don't. I don't fake it anymore.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I used to think it was so cool to say
- 12:49Speaker 2: sorry and then knock you up behind your back. Cool. No,
- 12:52Speaker 2: it's not. Makes me bad, makes me awful. And so
- 12:56Speaker 2: when you say sorry, really mean it and get into
- 12:59Speaker 2: the saying sorry, it can change everything. Okay, Moving along
- 13:06Speaker 2: this story's heartbreaking down a Matthew Perry's assistant find him
- 13:10Speaker 2: at least two times unconscious before his.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Death there's just there's so many stories coming out about
- 13:17Speaker 1: this now with Matthew Perry and his assistant and his
- 13:20Speaker 1: doctors who you know, one of they lost their licenses,
- 13:25Speaker 1: but then one of them is actually about to reopen
- 13:27Speaker 1: his practice but has some strict rules going on, and
- 13:31Speaker 1: he's spent you know, thousands and thousands of dollars on ketamine.
- 13:36Speaker 1: It's just really sad because you know, his assistant, kenneth O,
- 13:40Speaker 1: has put guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine,
- 13:45Speaker 1: which caused his death because it was administered in significant quantities. Yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 1: you know, I think I struggle here because we know celebrities,
- 13:59Speaker 1: and we know celebrities hire these assistants, and they hire
- 14:03Speaker 1: these people and it really is a thankless job because
- 14:07Speaker 1: you are there. You work for them, you know what
- 14:11Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like you are supposed to do what they
- 14:13Speaker 1: tell you to do. So if he tells you get
- 14:17Speaker 1: me kedemye, give me ketamine, you feel obligated to have to.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I'm not defending the man's choice. If he's a grown
- 14:25Speaker 1: adult and he could have look.
- 14:27Speaker 2: He would have lost his tired, he would have lost
- 14:29Speaker 2: his job. And I think too here we have to
- 14:31Speaker 2: remember these celebrities are so close with their assistance. In
- 14:34Speaker 2: my experience, they have some sort of mind control over them,
- 14:38Speaker 2: and so Matthew wouldn't have said this is a bad thing.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Kids say, oh, please get me some kedemy, and it
- 14:42Speaker 2: really helps me. It really helps my anxiety, It really
- 14:45Speaker 2: helps me feel better. And so then you package it
- 14:47Speaker 2: in a way that it suddenly becomes much more easy
- 14:50Speaker 2: to swallow. And so it's very, very frightening. But the
- 14:52Speaker 2: fact that he found Matthew at least twice a few
- 14:56Speaker 2: days before past that unconscious. Oh, this one breaks my heart. Okay,
- 15:01Speaker 2: we're going to take a quick break and we will
- 15:02Speaker 2: be right back. Welcome back to the naughty but na'm
- 15:07Speaker 2: we'll shoot me the very cheeky. Oh Donnie, meet him
- 15:09Speaker 2: who was gone for two weeks, abandoned us.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I'm back and you're welcome because your Wednesday has been saved.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Welcome back. Is that a doggie I see in your Republic?
- 15:23Speaker 1: My friend's dog and dogs. He's a puppy. I love dogs.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I'm a dog. I'm not a puppy person. Puppy chew everything.
- 15:32Speaker 1: It's hopping literally, helping my leg all day.
- 15:34Speaker 2: It's wild. How long is he there for I've.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Been watching him because he's a puppy. He's not allowed
- 15:40Speaker 1: to leave me his apartment when he goes to the Oh.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Oh, she's got him for the next six years. So
- 15:46Speaker 2: this isn't a week that You've got this puppy every
- 15:48Speaker 2: day until he's an adult, till he's like two years old. Yes,
- 15:52Speaker 2: welcome to the Naughty na. Does the puppy have a name?
- 15:54Speaker 2: We should probably learn the name. It's going to be
- 15:56Speaker 2: around puddin.
- 15:57Speaker 1: It's bear, even though it's a it's a mini York.
- 16:01Speaker 2: B E A R E A are bear. Welcome to
- 16:05Speaker 2: the show. Okay, where were we're doing a show? I
- 16:08Speaker 2: completely forgot. Now we normally give our results from yesterday show,
- 16:12Speaker 2: but we didn't have a poll yesterday, so it's a
- 16:14Speaker 2: very sad story. We don't do polls on sad stories,
- 16:16Speaker 2: so there was no poll yesterday. But don't forget. To
- 16:19Speaker 2: vote on today's poll. Then we will give you the
- 16:20Speaker 2: results for those tomorrow. You can vote by going to
- 16:23Speaker 2: our Twitter paycheck naughty nice rob our Facebook pat which
- 16:26Speaker 2: is naughty yossip and be sure showed back to mom
- 16:28Speaker 2: raw Walter. Hear your results. And now this story makes
- 16:31Speaker 2: me giggle. It's time for a nicest of the day.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Speaking of Yale, it looks like there's another person there.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad fault Chak his dreaming. You have
- 16:47Speaker 1: not seen.
- 16:48Speaker 2: He's fine, he is, He's really good.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Look last week, who did I happen to interview Chris
- 16:57Speaker 1: Martin himself?
- 16:59Speaker 2: How was that? His kid's got something is in there?
- 17:02Speaker 2: He's got his cancer? Fun and yeah sexy.
- 17:06Speaker 1: You know a little too meta for me, like a
- 17:08Speaker 1: little too Everything has a feeling.
- 17:10Speaker 2: In you like shallow. I mean, you've always liked shallow people.
- 17:14Speaker 2: You like a pretty face and a shallow mind.
