- 0:01Speaker 1: Head to Chemist's Warehouse and save more money every year
- 0:04Speaker 1: on your regular.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Medication with discounted prescriptions in every store every day.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Hello.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Oh, hello.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Oh, Nat's here.
- 0:14Speaker 4: Hello, I'm back.
- 0:16Speaker 2: We got rid of Amy already.
- 0:17Speaker 4: No, she's got a work commitment.
- 0:20Speaker 2: So I'll be here for the next two days. Is
- 0:22Speaker 2: it her work commitment being here?
- 0:23Speaker 4: Well, you know, the big new show that's coming.
- 0:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:26Speaker 3: It's something to do with that. But anyway, I'm stepping
- 0:28Speaker 3: in for two days. I just like her.
- 0:30Speaker 6: See ya.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Well, you're here anyway.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just here.
- 0:33Speaker 7: Hello.
- 0:34Speaker 6: Hello.
- 0:35Speaker 2: How are you?
- 0:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm good. How was your weekend?
- 0:38Speaker 2: Oh, pretty relaxing.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Your girlfriend's in Bali at the moment, so what did
- 0:41Speaker 4: you do?
- 0:41Speaker 3: Hang out with your shipmates?
- 0:42Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty much. A few times, but nothing big. I
- 0:45Speaker 2: didn't go wild.
- 0:46Speaker 3: What do you do when the footy's not on? Because
- 0:47Speaker 3: that's all you guys talk about. What do you talk about?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Well, and I'll bring Sean in here.
- 0:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Yesterday, I got to why I went home. I had
- 0:55Speaker 2: a swim in the morning. I went home and watched
- 0:57Speaker 2: the Bathurst race. Now, I know you won't care.
- 0:59Speaker 4: That's the car thing, right?
- 1:00Speaker 2: That is the car thing. It happens once a year.
- 1:02Speaker 2: It's a big deal.
- 1:03Speaker 8: Yep.
- 1:03Speaker 2: But the guy that was leading most of the time
- 1:07Speaker 2: actually ran out of petrol. Otherwise, he could have run.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Oh, what a silly sausage.
- 1:11Speaker 9: I know.
- 1:12Speaker 2: So for everyone that drives around on zero, like me.
- 1:14Speaker 3: I do too, yeah.
- 1:15Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:16Speaker 2: It's a lesson for you. Tell us what happened yesterday, Sean.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Welcome back, by the way.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Why are you sitting in the dark?
- 1:22Speaker 2: Turn your light on.
- 1:23Speaker 11: Hang on.
- 1:24Speaker 3: You look like a creep. Don't you reckon?
- 1:27Speaker 6: Did it do anything?
- 1:28Speaker 3: No.
- 1:28Speaker 2: You look worse. You know when.
- 1:31Speaker 3: You're telling a scary story and you hold a torch up?
- 1:34Speaker 6: That's what it looks like.
- 1:35Speaker 3: It's weird.
- 1:36Speaker 2: We need to fix Sean's lighting in there.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Can we get the tech in to fix the lighting?
- 1:40Speaker 3: It's going to bother me now.
- 1:42Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I can't possibly listen.
- 1:43Speaker 4: No, I can't go on about that.
- 1:45Speaker 11: As long as you can see me a little bit.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 1:47Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:47Speaker 10: Um, so the lead in this race was changing, you know,
- 1:50Speaker 10: every now and then yesterday, there was no safety car
- 1:53Speaker 10: for like 150 laps or something. So, um, basically it
- 1:57Speaker 10: gets down to the last lap and, um, Anton Di Pasquale,
- 2:01Speaker 10: he's right at the, right at the top. And, um,
- 2:04Speaker 10: You see him going up the hill and then all
- 2:06Speaker 10: of a sudden the car just starts to talk.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yeah, he ran out.
- 2:09Speaker 11: Ran out of fuel. So Brodie Kostecki ends up winning
- 2:11Speaker 11: his second Bathurst.
- 2:12Speaker 2: So is that a bit like a Bradbury?
- 2:14Speaker 11: Yes, 100%.
- 2:15Speaker 3: But hang on, correct me if I'm wrong here and
- 2:17Speaker 3: I know nothing about the Bathurst or these people. But
- 2:20Speaker 3: did he not.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Calling it the Bathurst.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Is that wrong?
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you'd probably call it.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Bathurst? Bathurst 1000, maybe.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Not the Bathurst.
- 2:29Speaker 4: What about the 1000?
- 2:30Speaker 3: No. No one says that. Okay. So the B1. Yeah.
- 2:35Speaker 4: No, but if he stopped to fill up petrol.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 3: He probably wouldn't have been in the lead. Therefore, you
- 2:40Speaker 3: know what I mean? Because if he didn't fill up petrol,
- 2:43Speaker 3: then that's why he was ahead because everyone else did.
- 2:46Speaker 2: That's where it gets a little complicated. He had time
- 2:48Speaker 2: to do it.
- 2:49Speaker 10: On his last pit stop, he pulled in, they changed
- 2:52Speaker 10: the tyres and it was a decision by the team
- 2:56Speaker 10: to not fill up with fuel in that last one.
- 2:59Speaker 11: They knew that it was going to be low.
- 3:01Speaker 10: They knew there wasn't going to be much fuel left,
- 3:03Speaker 10: but they said just gun it and just go for
- 3:04Speaker 10: it and hopefully... We get across the line.
- 3:06Speaker 2: The frustrating thing is he wasn't far from getting across
- 3:09Speaker 2: the line, was he?
- 3:10Speaker 6: How far are we talking?
- 3:11Speaker 3: Was he, like, metres?
- 3:12Speaker 2: Oh, halfway through the lap, maybe.
- 3:13Speaker 11: Halfway through the final lap.
- 3:14Speaker 3: And how long's the lap?
- 3:15Speaker 11: Oh, I think it's, like, a two-minute something or something.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Somewhere that, yeah.
- 3:19Speaker 6: Right.
- 3:19Speaker 2: He could have almost done it, man.
- 3:20Speaker 3: That sucks.
- 3:21Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 3:22Speaker 2: He could have won.
- 3:23Speaker 4: And it would have been his first Bathurst win, I'm assuming.
- 3:25Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 3:26Speaker 10: Pasquale hasn't, but Kostecki, the guy behind, he's like a gun.
- 3:30Speaker 11: And it's like.
- 3:31Speaker 10: Look, I'm happy for him, but it's sort of like
- 3:34Speaker 10: he won, you know, not long ago and he's a
- 3:36Speaker 10: really good driver.
- 3:36Speaker 11: This guy in front, I was just like gunning for him.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Do you reckon the guy that came from second and
- 3:42Speaker 3: won would feel like it's a legit win?
- 3:44Speaker 6: He was pretty stoked.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yeah, a win's a win.
- 3:47Speaker 2: A win's a win.
- 3:48Speaker 4: A win is a win.
- 3:49Speaker 2: But if old mate hadn't stuffed up with the petrol,
- 3:51Speaker 2: he wouldn't have won. Anyway, that was the Bathurst yesterday.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Basically, you caught up with your mates and spoke about
- 3:56Speaker 3: the Bathurst for hours. Like you just sat there.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Oh, most of them don't even care. You'll find it's like,
- 4:01Speaker 2: I feel like it used to be bigger back in
- 4:03Speaker 2: the day. Like everyone cared.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Is that our biggest car race, the Bathurst?
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that is the one. And there's a lot of
- 4:09Speaker 2: people like me, I don't mind motorsport, but I'll probably
- 4:11Speaker 2: only watch that during the year.
- 4:14Speaker 11: I'm the same.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yeah, you're the same?
- 4:15Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Whereas I've got mates as well. A few, like half
- 4:19Speaker 2: might watch it. Other half, yeah, nah, they're all just
- 4:21Speaker 2: like footy. They don't care.
- 4:23Speaker 11: And all the cars are different now. Remember, it used
- 4:25Speaker 11: to just be Ford and Holden.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Oh, there's Volvos. Yeah.
- 4:28Speaker 3: A Volvo.
- 4:29Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 4:30Speaker 2: That's what used to make it big because it was
- 4:32Speaker 2: like Australia's two cars were Holden and Ford.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Oh, you're a Holden man or you're a Ford man?
- 4:38Speaker 4: Yeah, my dad was always a Ford man.
- 4:39Speaker 2: There you go. Did your dad watch the Bathurst?
- 4:42Speaker 4: My dad loves any kind of sport.
- 4:44Speaker 2: He probably was watching. He'll watch anything.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I'll come home, there'll be golf on, cricket on, footy, boxing.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Croquet.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Yeah, well, he does lawn.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Bowls for fun.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah, right. He'll watch anything.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I'm sure he watched the Bathurst and he's well across.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Anything else going on today, Sean?
- 4:59Speaker 11: Well, cost of living is the number one concern for voters. Surprise, surprise.
- 5:03Speaker 10: The news poll says that that's the biggest thing that
- 5:05Speaker 10: we're all trying to get the government to change or fix,
- 5:07Speaker 10: but that's not an easy task by any means.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Nah. I mean, everyone's always upset about that, but name
- 5:14Speaker 2: what the government could do. If they start handing out money,
- 5:16Speaker 2: then they make inflation worse.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Well, remove that fuel thing again so it's cheaper. That's
- 5:19Speaker 3: a problem.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yeah, they could probably do that. They could do that.
- 5:22Speaker 3: The fuel excise, is that what it's called?
- 5:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it.
- 5:24Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 10: And now the big winners in the cost of living
- 5:27Speaker 10: crisis are places like Costco and Aldi.
- 5:29Speaker 11: They've cashed in like $ 20 billion over the last year.
- 5:31Speaker 10: So that money they're taking away from places like Kmart, Bunnings,
- 5:37Speaker 10: because they're offering cheaper and more bulk stuff, I suppose,
- 5:42Speaker 10: and more Aussies are sort of turning to them for that.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Do you go to Aldi? I've fully switched to Aldi.
- 5:47Speaker 12: Really?
- 5:47Speaker 2: You're an Aldi going out?
- 5:49Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I got thrown because they're sitting down when they serve you.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Yeah, but you basically, there's only like one person at
- 5:55Speaker 3: the front now. It's basically all self-serve.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Yeah, right. Yeah, like most supermarkets. The one I haven't done,
- 6:01Speaker 2: and I know Audi's good and some of the food
- 6:03Speaker 2: I've had from there is really good.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Costco, I haven't done that one.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Oh, Costco's really fun. Because when you walk in, it's like, yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 3: I mean, it's fun. If you go there all the time,
- 6:12Speaker 3: you're probably just in and out. Like, you just want
- 6:13Speaker 3: to get your stuff and go. And then you've got
- 6:15Speaker 3: people like me that are like, whoa. Because you've got, like, jewelry.
- 6:18Speaker 3: You've got coffins and things. You could buy a coffin.
- 6:22Speaker 3: It's so, like, anything you can think of is at Costco.
- 6:25Speaker 3: But to be honest, you get kind of halfway through
- 6:27Speaker 3: and you start to get over it.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's too much.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Yeah. And then you're also just like, where is this?
- 6:32Speaker 3: I just want to get like my, you know, washing
- 6:35Speaker 3: detergent and get out.
- 6:36Speaker 4: And it's a bit more of a May. It's a
- 6:37Speaker 4: whole day affair.
- 6:38Speaker 2: But you couldn't do it like that couldn't be your
- 6:40Speaker 2: regular shop, could it? Because you can't just buy a
- 6:44Speaker 2: lettuce head or something.
- 6:45Speaker 3: No, yeah, you can.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 6:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's like normal parts just like any
- 6:49Speaker 3: other supermarket. But then you've also got the aisles, which
- 6:51Speaker 3: are like these massive aisles and you feel like a
- 6:53Speaker 3: little ant in them. And a huge, like, bulk, like,
- 6:56Speaker 3: you know, toilet paper and whatever.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Well, it looks like I need to take a trip
- 6:59Speaker 2: to Costco.
- 7:00Speaker 11: And you need a membership, don't you?
- 7:01Speaker 3: Oh, do you?
- 7:03Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 11: Like 60 bucks a year or something.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 3: But, I mean, you'd save that in one shop.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Okay. Well, let's get into the show. Someone sort out
- 7:09Speaker 2: Sean's lighting because we can't see him. Thousands to be
- 7:12Speaker 2: won with our pop quiz. Your chance to drive away
- 7:15Speaker 2: in a brand new car. And right now, let's do
- 7:17Speaker 2: tradie versus lady. Call 131065. You could win an Oppo smartphone.
- 7:23Speaker 12: Ooh.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you want a new phone? 131065 to play.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Or a second phone.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Oh, to do the dodgy.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Yeah, why else would you.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Have a second?
- 7:31Speaker 3: A business phone. If you need a business phone, call
- 7:34Speaker 3: 131065 now.
- 7:35Speaker 2: You're on kids. And we are doing tradie versus lady.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Your chance to win a brand new Oppo smartphone. Let's
- 7:42Speaker 2: get into it right now, Nat.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Yeah, Emma is playing for the ladies this morning. She's
- 7:45Speaker 3: from Melbourne. She's 39 years old. Good morning, Emma.
- 7:49Speaker 9: Good morning, Nat.
- 7:50Speaker 7: How are you going?
- 7:50Speaker 3: Yeah, good.
- 7:51Speaker 12: Hi, Mikey.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Hello.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Welcome along.
- 7:53Speaker 3: You work in a factory.
- 7:54Speaker 4: What kind of factory?
- 7:56Speaker 7: It's just a beauty factory. So I pack, like, beauty
- 7:58Speaker 7: and skincare products, like the bigger names, like Kmart, Fast9,
- 8:02Speaker 7: all those kind of things.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Now, don't lie. Do you slip a couple of sneakies?
- 8:07Speaker 7: No, actually, we get given a lot of freebies, so
- 8:09Speaker 7: I'm quite lucky there. So, it's really good.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Fair enough.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I was going to say stealing.
- 8:13Speaker 7: No need to. Yeah, no, we're given a lot.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Stealing and admitting it on air, probably not a good idea.
- 8:18Speaker 3: You're single with four kids now. Were you married or
- 8:21Speaker 3: in a long-term relationship that ended recently?
- 8:24Speaker 7: I was in two long-term relationships with, I have two
- 8:27Speaker 7: baby daddies.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 7: But, yeah, so I've ended that like five years ago.
- 8:31Speaker 7: I'm happily single, loving it, raising my kids.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:35Speaker 2: No need for a man. Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 3: No need.
- 8:38Speaker 7: Happily independent, loving life, doing well.
- 8:41Speaker 3: I love it. She drives a Subaru Liberty, and when
- 8:44Speaker 3: she was 16, she was arrested by her netball coach.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Explain that to me, please.
- 8:50Speaker 7: Okay, so no, he wasn't the one that actually arrested me.
- 8:53Speaker 7: I got down to the station and he was there.
- 8:56Speaker 7: So what happened was, you know when you do your deb,
- 8:57Speaker 7: like your debutante ball?
- 8:59Speaker 3: I never did one of them. Who does those?
- 9:03Speaker 4: Is it like certain families do it?
- 9:06Speaker 7: Well, I grew up in the country in New South Wales,
- 9:09Speaker 7: like a small country town. So maybe it was like
- 9:11Speaker 7: a tradition in that country. I'm not sure in that town. Anyway,
- 9:14Speaker 7: so like, yeah, I did it there. We did the
- 9:17Speaker 7: ball and we didn't organize an after party. There was like,
- 9:21Speaker 7: I don't know, like 100 kids afterwards, like all walking
- 9:24Speaker 7: the main streets of this small country town. And we
- 9:27Speaker 7: were all drinking and just all being absolute nuisances of
- 9:30Speaker 7: us and making nuisances of ourselves. And I think I
- 9:34Speaker 7: got a little bit cheeky to one of the police
- 9:36Speaker 7: that were following us. So he actually put me in
- 9:38Speaker 7: the back of the van and he took me down
- 9:40Speaker 7: to the station. And they were like trying to make
- 9:42Speaker 7: me take out my tiara, which was like plaited into
- 9:45Speaker 7: my hair.
- 9:46Speaker 3: No, I'm not a debutante anymore. No, I was like
- 9:51Speaker 3: full on.
- 9:51Speaker 7: It was hectic. And then my netball coach, who was
- 9:54Speaker 7: the sergeant of the police station, came in and he's like,
- 9:56Speaker 7: what is going on here? Like, let's call your mom
- 9:58Speaker 7: and get her down here and pick you up. This
- 10:00Speaker 7: is just insane. And then a couple of days later
- 10:03Speaker 7: in the paper, there was like, where were your kids
- 10:06Speaker 7: at 2 a.m. Sunday morning? It was like a big headline.
- 10:08Speaker 7: And then I was written in the paper like a
- 10:11Speaker 7: 16-year-old girl was arrested.
- 10:12Speaker 2: How good was it running amok when you were that age?
- 10:14Speaker 3: And also you knew that if you got in trouble,
- 10:16Speaker 3: you kind of just got a slap on the wrist.
- 10:18Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Like now you run around, it's like you could get
- 10:20Speaker 3: arrested and get a criminal record. Do you want, is
- 10:22Speaker 3: it worth it?
- 10:23Speaker 2: Being arrested now.
- 10:24Speaker 8: It's definitely not worth it.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yeah. At 16, it's kind of.
- 10:27Speaker 7: Definitely not. All right.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Well, weighing in at 61 kilos, it's the drunken Deb.
- 10:31Speaker 6: Emma.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Yay.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Yay. Meeting our trainee now.
- 10:39Speaker 3: I can see you now.
- 10:40Speaker 11: You can see me. Yeah, the lights are working.
- 10:41Speaker 8: Good.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Welcome.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Welcome to the show, Sean.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Wayne, you work in civil construction. So what is that like?
- 10:48Speaker 2: What do you do?
- 10:50Speaker 12: I just work at the council down at Bass Coast
- 10:54Speaker 12: at South Gippsland.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Okay.
- 10:56Speaker 12: So I just keep maintenance on the road and stuff
- 10:58Speaker 12: like that.
- 10:59Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Are you filling the potholes in, mate?
- 11:01Speaker 12: Yeah, there's plenty of them down here, mate. That's for sure.
- 11:04Speaker 2: There are. You can't fill them in quick enough. Okay,
- 11:07Speaker 2: you're in a relationship. You've got two stepkids, so they're
- 11:10Speaker 2: her kids.
- 11:11Speaker 12: Yeah, two stepkids. Yeah, they're a bit of a handful,
- 11:14Speaker 12: but they're all right.
- 11:16Speaker 2: What are they, girls or boys?
- 11:18Speaker 12: One boy, one girl. One just turned 18 recently, so
- 11:21Speaker 12: he's got his license and things. He knows everything. The daughter, she's... Yeah, no,
- 11:27Speaker 12: she's all right, but, you know, she gets a bit
- 11:28Speaker 12: cranky every now and then.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Step-parents have it tough because, like, you're there and you
- 11:33Speaker 3: kind of, like, you want to treat them like your children,
- 11:34Speaker 3: but then at the same time, do you feel awkward, like,
- 11:36Speaker 3: disciplining them or you don't mind?
- 11:38Speaker 12: No, their mum's a nutcase, so she does all that.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Okay, you just sit back and chill.
- 11:44Speaker 2: You're just like a mate.
- 11:45Speaker 12: Yeah, I do that when you're... You know, when someone
- 11:49Speaker 12: gets in trouble, you just stand in the background, point
- 11:51Speaker 12: and laugh when they're not looking.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I love it.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Hey, you got a Ford Ranger. Now, you wrote yourself
- 11:57Speaker 2: off at a wedding. What happened on the bus?
- 12:00Speaker 12: Well, we had a big wedding. It was about 40
- 12:03Speaker 12: minutes away from home and had the bus there easy enough.
- 12:07Speaker 12: And then on the way home, after I'd mixed a
- 12:09Speaker 12: heap of drinks and that, I sat up the back
- 12:12Speaker 12: by myself just to mind my own business because I
- 12:14Speaker 12: wasn't feeling too flash. And five minutes into the trip, just...
- 12:18Speaker 12: I had a spew bag, but I missed the bag
- 12:22Speaker 12: and went all over myself and over the bus. So
- 12:25Speaker 12: that was pretty embarrassing. So I sorted myself out and
- 12:28Speaker 12: laid off the drink a bit after that.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Just a bit.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Spew bags are never big enough, by the way. They're
- 12:34Speaker 3: like little lunch bags that you take to the canteen.
- 12:36Speaker 2: And that poor bus driver, too. They must have to
- 12:39Speaker 2: deal with a lot of crap.
- 12:40Speaker 3: When they have to clean it up. I always feel bad.
- 12:42Speaker 3: You know, there's the Knight Rider bus.
- 12:43Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 12:43Speaker 2: It would be fabulous.
- 12:44Speaker 4: It'd be the worst job diving those.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Mate, weighing in at 98 kilos, it's the uncivil engineer, Wayne.
- 12:52Speaker 3: All right, Wayno, I'm going to ask your questions first.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Are you ready to go?
- 12:56Speaker 12: Yeah, I'm ready to go.
- 12:58Speaker 3: All righty.
- 12:58Speaker 4: What does the brand Lanolips make?
- 13:01Speaker 12: I'd say lipstick.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Do they?
- 13:07Speaker 3: No. Hang on.
- 13:08Speaker 12: What about chapstick or something?
- 13:10Speaker 3: Yeah, let's give you that one. It's like lip care products.
- 13:14Speaker 3: I wouldn't say lipstick. It's more like lip balm.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Okay. Sure.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll give it to you.
- 13:19Speaker 6: All right.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Question two. According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2026 is the
- 13:24Speaker 3: year of the what?
- 13:25Speaker 12: I reckon... It was weird. I think it was a
- 13:32Speaker 12: rat or something.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I think we were.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Maybe rat was last year, but no, this year is
- 13:37Speaker 3: the fire horse. I would have taken... Do you know
- 13:41Speaker 3: what Chinese zodiac you're on?
- 13:42Speaker 2: Oh, God, no, man. You know I don't believe in
- 13:43Speaker 2: that crap.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Yeah, but, like, it's just fun to know. Like, I'm
- 13:46Speaker 4: a wet cock.
- 13:48Speaker 3: LAUGHTER I always remember because the element is water and
- 13:52Speaker 3: then the thing was rooster.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Oh, so you're a wet cock.
- 13:55Speaker 3: I'm a wet cock. I'm a wet cock. That means
- 13:57Speaker 3: I'm a wet cock too. Oh, welcome. Hello, fellow wet cock.
- 14:00Speaker 3: And also rat is next year. Ah, next year's the
- 14:02Speaker 3: year of rat.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I've got no idea. Do you know, Sean? No idea.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Look up what Mikey's is. He was born in, what's it?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Tell me the year you were born.
- 14:10Speaker 3: And don't lie.
- 14:12Speaker 2: 1959?
- 14:12Speaker 3: Are you really... What was it?
- 14:16Speaker 2: I'll just whisper it so no one hears, okay?
- 14:18Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Whisper it. Hold on a second.
- 14:20Speaker 11: Let's turn the mic off.
- 14:24Speaker 3: So 1984, got it.
- 14:27Speaker 2: I turned the mic off, put it on the intercom,
- 14:30Speaker 2: but he just intercommed it back here.
- 14:31Speaker 3: You're the wood rat. Oh.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Whatever that means.
- 14:35Speaker 3: The wood rat.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Wet cock and wood rat. Sounds like one of those
- 14:40Speaker 2: terrible regional breakfast shows.
- 14:43Speaker 6: It does.
- 14:43Speaker 12: Good morning.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Wet cock and wood rat in the morning. I love it.
- 14:49Speaker 12: All right.
- 14:49Speaker 3: So, no, you got that one wrong. Your last question
- 14:52Speaker 3: here for two points on the board. What are party feet?
- 14:57Speaker 12: Party feet?
- 14:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 12: Or maybe some sort of dancing shoe?
- 15:07Speaker 3: No. Unfortunately, they're like inner soles you put into your
- 15:10Speaker 3: high heels. Like girls use them so their feet have
- 15:12Speaker 3: a bit more cushion and they.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Don't hurt as much because wearing heels all night sucks.
- 15:17Speaker 2: All right, mate. You got one though, Wayne.
- 15:18Speaker 11: Not bad.
- 15:19Speaker 4: One point on the board. And let's go to Emma now.
- 15:22Speaker 14: Hi, Emma.
- 15:22Speaker 12: Hi, Emma.
- 15:23Speaker 7: Hi.
- 15:24Speaker 2: All right, now, if a truck jackknives, what's happened to
- 15:28Speaker 2: the truck?
- 15:30Speaker 7: Has it, like, gone, like, split in half? Like, it's
- 15:34Speaker 7: gone in two? Like, it's... Yeah, like the trailers come
- 15:38Speaker 7: off it.
- 15:39Speaker 2: It doesn't come off. No, the trailer swings out and
- 15:43Speaker 2: folds towards the cab. So like you're close. Yeah, but
- 15:47Speaker 2: it doesn't break apart.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Can I just say driving a car or anything like
- 15:51Speaker 3: with a boat trailing behind it or like a trailer?
- 15:53Speaker 2: Really hard, isn't it?
- 15:54Speaker 5: So hard.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I tried to do it once, immediately jackknifed.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're reversing.
- 15:58Speaker 3: You return the thing the opposite way to what you
- 16:01Speaker 3: normally would.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Trailer's the same. Very confusing. Yeah, very.
- 16:05Speaker 9: I'm the worst as well.
- 16:06Speaker 2: All good. Let's see if you can get something here.
- 16:09Speaker 2: What food product is whey protein derived from? So what
- 16:13Speaker 2: does that whey protein come from?
- 16:15Speaker 7: It's like what food product?
- 16:19Speaker 2: Yeah, does whey protein come from?
- 16:22Speaker 7: Is it like chicken?
- 16:23Speaker 14: No.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Oh, because chicken's got protein.
- 16:26Speaker 4: I see where your head was at.
- 16:27Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Milk. Usually cow milk.
- 16:30Speaker 14: Oh, yeah.
- 16:30Speaker 2: So it's the liquid byproduct.
- 16:32Speaker 6: Okay.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't had whey protein.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Do you ever do like a protein shake or anything? No.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Are you still on light and easy?
- 16:40Speaker 11: No.
- 16:40Speaker 2: I started, what was the other one? You Foods for
- 16:43Speaker 2: a while.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Oh, You Foods is quite yummy. My Muscle Chef is
- 16:45Speaker 3: really yummy.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you can get them in Woolies and stuff. Yeah,
- 16:48Speaker 2: and like IGA and stuff. Okay, you've got one more
- 16:51Speaker 2: chance here. Which aircraft is the world's only full-length double-decker
- 16:58Speaker 2: passenger plane? What is it called? Biggest plane.
- 17:05Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 17:05Speaker 7: Is it just like a– I don't know what the
- 17:07Speaker 7: planes are, like a G7? That's the only– Oh, Emma.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 17:15Speaker 2: You try. Airbus A380. Guess what? The boy wins.
- 17:18Speaker 7: Oh, I know.
- 17:19Speaker 14: You got the oppo.
- 17:19Speaker 7: I was going to know that.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Yeah, the boys.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Now, Mikey, Facebook has launched a new AI tool and
- 17:29Speaker 3: basically they're trying to rival ChatGPT and Claude and Grok
- 17:33Speaker 3: and even Google Gemini and all that. Which one do
- 17:35Speaker 3: you use?
- 17:36Speaker 2: ChatGPT.
- 17:37Speaker 4: Same, but I've heard that Claude's better.
- 17:39Speaker 2: My girlfriend started using Claude and I watched her doing
- 17:42Speaker 2: something on it. It does look really impressive, but I
- 17:45Speaker 2: don't know how to use it. And now I feel
- 17:46Speaker 2: like I'm behind the times and maybe.
- 17:48Speaker 4: ChatGPT is the clever one.
- 17:49Speaker 3: I'm going to stick up for ChatGPT here because I
- 17:51Speaker 3: tried to use Claude like last week. To make an image,
- 17:55Speaker 3: it took 15 minutes and then came up with the most,
- 17:58Speaker 3: the worst image I've ever seen in my life. Whereas
- 18:00Speaker 3: Chad GPT can generate something pretty quickly.
- 18:03Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 18:03Speaker 2: But do you feel like Chad GPT might be like
- 18:05Speaker 2: the dumb person's one and we need to get onto that?
- 18:09Speaker 3: Mine knows me so well that it'd be like a
- 18:12Speaker 3: divorce if I stopped using, like, cause I'll even say
- 18:15Speaker 3: something and it'll bring up something I told it a
- 18:17Speaker 3: year ago.
- 18:17Speaker 2: It's incredible.
- 18:18Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh, can you forget about that? We've
- 18:20Speaker 3: moved on.
- 18:21Speaker 2: What one do you use, Sean?
- 18:22Speaker 10: Yeah, I use ChatGPT. And I think Claude is, like,
- 18:25Speaker 10: known for, like, design and stuff. Which is funny that
- 18:28Speaker 10: you said that. But apparently, like, you know, with websites
- 18:31Speaker 10: and marketing and all that sort of stuff, apparently Claude's
- 18:34Speaker 10: the better one to use.
- 18:35Speaker 2: And that is what she was saying, but I think
- 18:36Speaker 2: you have to know how to use.
- 18:38Speaker 6: It or something.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Okay, well, I'll tell you what I did. So my partner,
- 18:40Speaker 3: who's a boxer, needed new shirts designed for, like, before
- 18:43Speaker 3: his fight.
- 18:43Speaker 4: And he, like, put his face on it, puts his
- 18:45Speaker 4: name on it and everything.
- 18:46Speaker 6: ChatGPT.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Bang. Shirt design looks great. It changed his face. It's
- 18:51Speaker 3: not him.
- 18:51Speaker 2: It always does that.
- 18:52Speaker 3: But it didn't matter because we're just going to show
- 18:54Speaker 3: that to a graphic designer. Yeah. I asked Claude to
- 18:56Speaker 3: do it and Claude came up with, honestly, something I
- 18:59Speaker 3: could have made on paint.
- 19:00Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 19:01Speaker 3: It was that bad and it took, I'm not kidding,
- 19:03Speaker 3: 15 minutes.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I don't know what we're missing, why we can't do
- 19:06Speaker 2: it properly.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Maybe you have to pay because I didn't use a
- 19:09Speaker 4: paid version.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I think she's got the paid. Yeah, but like
- 19:11Speaker 2: I know she's not the only one. A lot of
- 19:12Speaker 2: people are raving about Claude. My old man, Boomers, he
- 19:16Speaker 2: just uses the Google one.
- 19:18Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Google Gemini.
- 19:19Speaker 3: The Google one, it's forced on you because you just
- 19:21Speaker 3: search it and now it comes up at the top.
- 19:23Speaker 3: So you're kind of like, you're just using it.
- 19:24Speaker 2: And it's fine.
- 19:26Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Chat's better.
- 19:27Speaker 4: But yeah.
- 19:28Speaker 3: And then also, if you want to ask a follow
- 19:30Speaker 3: up on Google, how do you do that? Because you
- 19:32Speaker 3: have to do a whole new search.
- 19:33Speaker 2: No, you can down the bottom. Oh, do you use
- 19:36Speaker 2: Google one, do you, Chelsea?
- 19:37Speaker 1: I don't use it often, but when it comes up
- 19:40Speaker 1: as a suggested, yeah, it's down the bottom that you
- 19:41Speaker 1: can like ask a question.
- 19:42Speaker 3: There you go.
- 19:43Speaker 2: And we'll do it for basic stuff.
- 19:44Speaker 3: The new Facebook one is called Muse. And I can't
- 19:47Speaker 3: speak for it because I haven't tried it yet. But
- 19:49Speaker 3: I do. have a warning for if you're going to
- 19:51Speaker 3: use it on Facebook Marketplace because this guy did, and
- 19:54Speaker 3: he thought, bang, I don't have to deal with these
- 19:56Speaker 3: annoying people anymore on Facebook Marketplace. I'm just going to.
- 20:00Speaker 3: I'm just going to get the AI to deal with
- 20:02Speaker 3: all the people until it's sold, right?
- 20:04Speaker 2: That's great. It does all the talking for you.
- 20:06Speaker 3: It sounds great.
- 20:07Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 20:07Speaker 3: But then what's happened here is he gave the AI
- 20:10Speaker 3: muse full control of this sales process.
- 20:13Speaker 4: And then what happened is the AI just went rogue.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Accepted a really low ball price, and even gave out
- 20:21Speaker 3: this guy's address. And so he's sitting at home one day.
- 20:25Speaker 3: This guy rocks up to buy a keyboard, mind you.
- 20:27Speaker 3: And he's like, I'm here for the keyboard that I
- 20:29Speaker 3: bought for X amount of dollars, like low ball price.
- 20:31Speaker 3: And he's like, who are you? I didn't agree to this.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I didn't give you my address. And AI just fully
- 20:37Speaker 3: took control of the sale and went rogue with it.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Well, I reckon that's his bloody fault, by the way. Yeah. Like,
- 20:42Speaker 2: get AI to do it, but he should be monitoring it.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Oh, no, but there's nothing worse than dealing with people
- 20:48Speaker 3: on Facebook Marketplace.
- 20:49Speaker 2: I've never done it.
- 20:49Speaker 3: I recently tried to get rid of a bed for
- 20:52Speaker 3: free on Facebook. I just didn't want to have to
- 20:55Speaker 3: go and dispose of it. Didn't want to carry it
- 20:57Speaker 3: down the stairs in my unit. And the amount of
- 20:59Speaker 3: people that I had to tolerate, and they promised they'll
- 21:01Speaker 3: come at a time, and then they just don't care. Like...
- 21:04Speaker 3: I would try it, but now after hearing this, like,
- 21:06Speaker 3: how did it get his address and everything? I would
- 21:08Speaker 3: not be giving it that much control.
- 21:10Speaker 2: And how low did he go? Like, did it go
- 21:13Speaker 2: with the price? I do like the idea, but, yeah,
- 21:15Speaker 2: I'm a dude. I've never sold anything. I had a
- 21:18Speaker 2: girlfriend maybe try and sell.
- 21:20Speaker 3: You made me sell something for you once. Did I?
- 21:22Speaker 3: When I used to work for you, you said, oh–
- 21:26Speaker 3: And I quote, you had a coffee machine from Aldi
- 21:28Speaker 3: that you wanted to sell.
- 21:29Speaker 2: I think it's the one the ex-girlfriend had given me.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Okay. Well, you had it at home in its box.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I remember it was brand new. You'd never used it before.
- 21:36Speaker 2: No, I remember we broke up and she just bought
- 21:38Speaker 2: me the coffee machine. And she's like, well, you can
- 21:40Speaker 2: keep the coffee machine. I'm like, I don't want your
- 21:42Speaker 2: freaking coffee machine.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Oh, so generous. But yeah, no, you obviously wanted to.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Get rid of it. I did.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:48Speaker 4: So at the time you said to me, I'm my
- 21:50Speaker 4: key from the radio.
- 21:52Speaker 3: I can't use Facebook Marketplace and me as your young
- 21:55Speaker 3: producer just trying to impress my boss had to sell.
- 21:58Speaker 4: The coffee machine for you.
- 22:00Speaker 3: But then you didn't even say just keep the money
- 22:03Speaker 3: you make or whatever or have half of it.
- 22:06Speaker 4: I then had to.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Come to work with the cash and give it to
- 22:10Speaker 3: you and you're like, thanks.
- 22:12Speaker 2: It was probably like 50 bucks or something.
- 22:14Speaker 6: Yeah, it was.
- 22:16Speaker 7: And I did it.
- 22:16Speaker 3: And I dealt with all these people for you.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 22:20Speaker 3: What a pushover.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Well, you were just, you know, climbing the ladder.
- 22:23Speaker 3: And look where it got me.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Now you're hosting the show without Amy.
- 22:28Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 2: When is she back?
- 22:30Speaker 3: She's just off today and tomorrow.
- 22:31Speaker 2: She wouldn't be selling stuff on Marketplace for me.
- 22:33Speaker 3: She gives stuff away, I see. Quite generous.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Oh, she'd give that coffee machine away. Yeah, that loaded.
- 22:39Speaker 3: She'd be a kinder to do a garage sale.
- 22:42Speaker 5: Oh.
- 22:42Speaker 3: You know those people?
- 22:43Speaker 2: Oh, I'd never do one of those. Oh, no way.
- 22:45Speaker 4: I would not want people in my house.
- 22:46Speaker 2: I'd feel like a loser if no one shows up.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Yeah, no one wants your stuff.
- 22:51Speaker 2: There's nothing.
- 22:52Speaker 3: That's like no one turning up to your birthday party.
- 22:54Speaker 3: You're sitting there with like a little till.
- 22:56Speaker 2: No one wants your crappy old things.
- 22:58Speaker 3: If you do a garage sale and they're stained age,
- 23:00Speaker 3: do you need like a post machine? Who has cash?
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you would. You would. But are people even doing
- 23:05Speaker 2: them if they've got marketplace?
- 23:07Speaker 3: True.
- 23:08Speaker 8: True.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Call up if you're having a garage sale.
- 23:09Speaker 3: If you're having a garage sale, I want to stop by.
- 23:11Speaker 3: I want to see what it's like.
- 23:12Speaker 2: And first calls now on 131065 to get on and
- 23:15Speaker 2: have a chat. Here's Dylan. Hey, Dylan.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Hey, Dylan.
- 23:18Speaker 7: Hey, guys.
- 23:19Speaker 2: How we going this morning? Good, man. What do you
- 23:21Speaker 2: want to talk about?
- 23:23Speaker 15: Did you guys happen.
- 23:24Speaker 3: To catch that video out in the UK where there
- 23:26Speaker 3: was a bloke that got mauled by a tiger at
- 23:28Speaker 3: a zoo?
- 23:29Speaker 2: Oh, Nat, you were talking about that this morning. I
- 23:31Speaker 2: haven't seen it.
- 23:31Speaker 4: It's been all over my feed.
- 23:33Speaker 3: So it's one of those lunatics that decides for some
- 23:35Speaker 3: reason it's a good idea to jump in with the tiger.
- 23:38Speaker 6: Moron.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Like, at the zoo, jumps.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Into the enclosure. And you can see in the video, he's, like,
- 23:43Speaker 4: almost trying to talk to it like it's his dog.
- 23:44Speaker 3: He's going, no, no. And this tiger's like, what? And just...
- 23:48Speaker 3: Your food. Yeah, exactly.
- 23:50Speaker 2: And ate him.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Yeah, and ate him. Like, he died.
- 23:52Speaker 4: But the thing is as well, like, the tiger, like,
- 23:54Speaker 4: you can't blame the tiger.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Not at all. Yeah, this guy, why did he do that?
- 23:58Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 23:59Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 23:59Speaker 15: Wild, wild story.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Dumb.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Dumb story, yes.
- 24:03Speaker 2: But it wasn't a kid or anything. It's like a
- 24:05Speaker 2: full-grown adult.
- 24:07Speaker 10: Yeah, apparently he asked someone to take a photo with
- 24:10Speaker 10: the tiger in the moments leading up, and then the
- 24:12Speaker 10: person that was going to take the photo, they looked
- 24:14Speaker 10: down and they realised that he was actually inside the
- 24:16Speaker 10: enclosure now.
- 24:18Speaker 3: So he wanted like a viral moment or something. And
- 24:20Speaker 3: that's why he said, hold my phone. And then, yeah, wanted, yeah.
- 24:24Speaker 2: He got a viral moment.
- 24:25Speaker 11: People that saw it, the tiger is playing with him.
- 24:28Speaker 10: But when a tiger plays with you, it looks very violent.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:32Speaker 4: And also the pressure and strength in their jaw.
- 24:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Did he die?
- 24:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:38Speaker 6: Not good.
- 24:39Speaker 12: All right.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Let's go to Cassie.
- 24:41Speaker 12: Hello.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Good morning. Good morning. Hello.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Good.
- 24:45Speaker 12: Hello.
- 24:45Speaker 14: How are we?
- 24:46Speaker 3: Good.
- 24:46Speaker 2: What are you bringing up?
- 24:48Speaker 14: I am really having a frustrating day. I've had a
- 24:51Speaker 14: really bad drive into work, and I would like to
- 24:54Speaker 14: let out a scream for National Scream.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Day, if that's possible. Yeah, I just said this in
- 24:58Speaker 3: the birthday wheel. So today is International Moment of Frustration
- 25:01Speaker 3: Scream Day, which means you can basically just let out
- 25:03Speaker 3: your stress. And it does help. Have you ever just
- 25:05Speaker 3: tried screaming?
- 25:06Speaker 7: Oh.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Oh.
- 25:08Speaker 8: Exactly.
- 25:09Speaker 14: That is what I want to do.
- 25:10Speaker 12: Yeah, go on.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Yeah, all right. Go on.
- 25:13Speaker 14: So I am hiding at work, so it's going to
- 25:15Speaker 14: be an internal but outside scream. So I'm just giving
- 25:18Speaker 14: you a bit of notice on that one.
- 25:19Speaker 8: Yep.
- 25:21Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Good one.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I hope that feels better. And if you're driving to
- 25:25Speaker 2: work right now, just do it in the car.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Or show.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Just call up.
- 25:28Speaker 2: We'll let you know.
- 25:29Speaker 3: All right. One of our listeners, Sophie, has given us
- 25:32Speaker 3: a call. She needs our help because she's noticed something
- 25:34Speaker 3: strange going on with her social. So basically, somebody is
- 25:38Speaker 3: stalking her page and looking at her stuff, and she
- 25:40Speaker 3: doesn't think this person should be on there at all.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Now, if you just look at someone's reels or someone's photos,
- 25:47Speaker 2: you can't tell, but it's when you do a story.
- 25:49Speaker 3: So this person must be watching her stories, and I'd
- 25:53Speaker 3: argue it must be pretty consistent for her to be
- 25:55Speaker 3: calling us up.
- 25:56Speaker 4: So, Sophie, tell us what's going on.
- 25:57Speaker 9: Hi, guys.
- 25:59Speaker 3: How are you?
- 26:01Speaker 2: Good.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Wait, first up, I just want to know who is
- 26:03Speaker 3: watching your stories.
- 26:05Speaker 8: So it's my best friend's boyfriend.
- 26:09Speaker 2: He's just being supportive.
- 26:11Speaker 3: But wait, this is important information. Does he follow you?
- 26:15Speaker 8: No, that's the thing.
- 26:17Speaker 3: So he's actively searching to watch your stories. And hang on,
- 26:21Speaker 3: so how long have they been together?
- 26:25Speaker 8: They've been together for about eight months.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Okay.
- 26:28Speaker 2: And, yeah, because you... It's not even a suggested thing, stories,
- 26:32Speaker 2: is it?
- 26:32Speaker 3: But also how consistent.
- 26:33Speaker 2: You've got to actively look.
- 26:34Speaker 3: How consistent is this every story you put up? Yeah,
- 26:38Speaker 3: pretty much.
- 26:40Speaker 5: Like.
- 26:41Speaker 8: It only happened about three weeks ago when I noticed it.
- 26:44Speaker 8: But now, obviously, that I did, I can't unnotice it.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Yeah, so once you see his name, you're looking for
- 26:50Speaker 3: his name. But this could have been going on for,
- 26:53Speaker 3: I don't know, the whole eight months, really.
- 26:54Speaker 15: For sure.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Is he one of the first? I've got a few
- 26:58Speaker 2: people and I notice they're always the first to view
- 27:00Speaker 2: my stories. Is he one of the first?
- 27:04Speaker 8: He's up there, but it's... but he's always there.
- 27:08Speaker 2: So just to get this right, if he doesn't follow her,
- 27:11Speaker 2: he literally has to look up Sophie and look at
- 27:16Speaker 2: a story.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Yeah, and then she might sit in his search history,
- 27:19Speaker 3: so maybe you could argue that he can see Sophie's
- 27:22Speaker 3: name with the ring around her photo and he's like, oh,
- 27:24Speaker 3: another story. But also, why does he care to watch it? Like,
- 27:28Speaker 3: I do not care what my friend's boyfriends are doing
- 27:30Speaker 3: at all.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Is he a bit flirty when you are in person
- 27:34Speaker 2: with him?
- 27:36Speaker 8: Um, no, I think it's just pretty organic as it
- 27:39Speaker 8: would be in a social setting when we're all together.
- 27:42Speaker 2: He's got a thing for you, though.
- 27:43Speaker 3: You reckon? Yeah. Do you reckon that? Well, I just
- 27:45Speaker 3: can't think of any other reason. Hang on. Is it
- 27:48Speaker 3: when you're with her, he's watching your stories because maybe
- 27:51Speaker 3: he's trying to see what she's doing?
- 27:55Speaker 2: Uh, no, I usually.
- 27:57Speaker 8: post on the regular so she's not always in it
- 28:00Speaker 8: no no he's got okay.
- 28:02Speaker 2: It's clear-cut he's got a thing for it i'm just
- 28:04Speaker 2: trying to i'm.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Trying to like play devil's advocate here what kind of
- 28:07Speaker 3: things do you post though like are you a girl
- 28:09Speaker 3: that posts um here's my morning coffee here's me doing
- 28:12Speaker 3: work on my laptop or are you bikini gym mirror
- 28:16Speaker 3: selfies like what kind of poster are.
- 28:17Speaker 8: You Yeah, I'm definitely a bikini. And now that, you know,
- 28:22Speaker 8: sun's come out.
- 28:26Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:28Speaker 3: So what are you wondering? Should you be telling your
- 28:31Speaker 3: friend or should you just hang on?
- 28:33Speaker 4: Actually, super important.
- 28:34Speaker 3: We haven't discovered this. Is he reacting to anything? Is
- 28:38Speaker 3: he sending a little love heart to anything or is
- 28:40Speaker 3: it just viewing and that's it?
- 28:43Speaker 8: No, it's just viewing.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Okay, at least he's not reacting yet. And I'm guessing
- 28:48Speaker 2: you haven't... Yes, yeah. I'm guessing you haven't told your girlfriend?
- 28:52Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't know if it should be a big
- 28:54Speaker 8: deal or not.
- 28:55Speaker 2: This could cause drama, right? So, first of all, I
- 28:57Speaker 2: know he's into her, right? She's putting bikini shots up,
- 28:59Speaker 2: he's searching her.
- 29:01Speaker 3: There's no other reason?
- 29:02Speaker 6: No.
- 29:03Speaker 3: He's not just interested in what she's... And also, why,
- 29:05Speaker 3: if he's watching it so consistently, it's weird that he's
- 29:07Speaker 3: not just following her?
- 29:08Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Well, no, maybe he doesn't want his girlfriend to see
- 29:11Speaker 2: that he's following her. But he's dumb enough to not
- 29:14Speaker 2: know that. Anyway, yeah. I know blokes. He's into her, right?
- 29:17Speaker 2: He is, yeah.
- 29:18Speaker 3: But as for telling her, you're saying don't because it'll
- 29:20Speaker 3: cause drama.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's not really a problem for you,
- 29:24Speaker 2: is it, Sophie? He can just watch and watch and
- 29:26Speaker 2: watch and watch. Like, why does it matter to you?
- 29:29Speaker 3: Well, because it's weird. I'd care if I was Sophie
- 29:33Speaker 3: too because I'd be like, what's he doing on there?
- 29:34Speaker 3: And I'd also absolutely tell my friend.
- 29:36Speaker 2: How would your girlfriend react though?
- 29:38Speaker 3: But I wouldn't do it in a way where I'm... like,
- 29:40Speaker 3: you know, all lover and be like, hey, babe, just
- 29:42Speaker 3: so you know, that really hot bikini photo I put up,
- 29:44Speaker 3: he's like, he's all over my stories because that's a
- 29:46Speaker 3: bit pick me. Like that's almost you saying, be worried
- 29:49Speaker 3: about me. I'd do it in a way of like, oh,
- 29:51Speaker 3: I noticed blah, blah, blah. Watch my story. Like in passing.
- 29:53Speaker 2: It's going to cause so much drama and then she's
- 29:56Speaker 2: going to cause a fight with a boyfriend and then
- 29:58Speaker 2: Sophie's going to get caught in the middle.
- 29:59Speaker 3: And if it's happening with Sophie... How many other girls
- 30:02Speaker 3: is he watching? And, like, Sophie's her friend.
- 30:05Speaker 2: So it's girl code.
- 30:06Speaker 3: Yeah, but, like, there could be girls that the girlfriend
- 30:09Speaker 3: doesn't even know that he's actually responding to.
- 30:11Speaker 2: So it could be a dirty dog and Sophie can
- 30:13Speaker 2: expose the fact that he is.
- 30:15Speaker 3: I just think it's creeper social media behaviour.
- 30:18Speaker 2: All right, well, hey, let's get people to call in, Sophie.
- 30:21Speaker 2: You want to know whether to tell your friend or not, yeah?
- 30:24Speaker 12: Yes.
- 30:25Speaker 2: All right. 131065. Should Sophie tell her friend about this,
- 30:30Speaker 2: that her friend's boyfriend keeps watching her stories on Insta?
- 30:35Speaker 2: Is it a problem? Does she get involved? 131065. If
- 30:40Speaker 2: you've got an opinion, let us know right now. Eminem
- 30:43Speaker 2: here on Kiss. And Nat is here for Amy today.
- 30:46Speaker 2: We're doing the helpline. It's a pretty clear cut to me.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it's simple today. So basically, Sophie has noticed that
- 30:53Speaker 3: Her best friend's boyfriend of eight months is looking at
- 30:56Speaker 3: her Instagram stories and he's looking every single time. He's
- 30:59Speaker 3: not reacting or anything, but he's watching every story she
- 31:01Speaker 3: puts up and these stories aren't really innocent food pictures.
- 31:05Speaker 3: It's like her in a bikini, her doing, you know,
- 31:08Speaker 3: her looking sexy.
- 31:09Speaker 2: And he doesn't follow you, Sophie, at all.
- 31:13Speaker 8: No, no, we don't.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 31:14Speaker 3: So he's actively seeking out her Instagram to watch every
- 31:18Speaker 3: single story she puts up. There's two questions here. One
- 31:21Speaker 3: we think we've answered. Is he into her? And you
- 31:23Speaker 3: said categorically yes. Yeah, he is searching and.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Looking at her. You should follow him just to mess
- 31:29Speaker 2: with him.
- 31:30Speaker 3: Oh, to say like, senior.
- 31:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:32Speaker 3: No, because then maybe she's encouraging because if it is,
- 31:35Speaker 3: he's like testing the waters here.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Can you restrict someone or something?
- 31:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, she can block him or she can actually, no,
- 31:41Speaker 3: she can mute her stories from him.
- 31:43Speaker 4: But that's almost weirder.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:45Speaker 3: So basically what she wants to know is should she
- 31:48Speaker 3: tell her friend or is it innocent and she's overreacting?
- 31:51Speaker 2: All right. 131065. We'll hear from you, Naomi.
- 31:53Speaker 14: Hello.
- 31:54Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 31:56Speaker 12: Hello.
- 31:57Speaker 14: Oh, gosh.
- 31:58Speaker 15: He is so into her.
- 31:59Speaker 9: It's not funny.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Yeah, why else would he be looking her stories up?
- 32:03Speaker 7: Oh, yes.
- 32:04Speaker 15: And if this was my man doing this, I would
- 32:07Speaker 15: want to know what is happening.
- 32:10Speaker 11: Like, ew.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Yeah. And that's the thing is girls, we look at
- 32:13Speaker 3: the situation and go, if that were me, I'd want
- 32:15Speaker 3: to know. But I have been in the situation before
- 32:18Speaker 3: where you tell someone and it just ends badly for
- 32:20Speaker 3: you when you try to do the right thing.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Oh, the girlfriend could easily turn on Sophie.
- 32:25Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 32:25Speaker 3: And just go, you're trying to start drama. Who cares
- 32:28Speaker 3: if he's watching? And he'll come up with some story.
- 32:30Speaker 3: He hasn't actually done it.
- 32:32Speaker 2: I did it.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Yeah, someone hacked me. But he hasn't actually done anything
- 32:37Speaker 3: that bad yet.
- 32:38Speaker 2: He's just watching her stories.
- 32:39Speaker 6: Yeah, which is weird.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I'd love to know if the girlfriend approaches him, though,
- 32:42Speaker 2: what his explanation is. I am planning a– I've got it.
- 32:47Speaker 2: I am planning a surprise for you, right? And I
- 32:50Speaker 2: want to know, it might be a trip away for
- 32:53Speaker 2: you and Sophie, yeah? And I wanted to see what
- 32:55Speaker 2: Sophie was into. What her work schedule is.
- 32:57Speaker 4: I can try and.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Book her around it. What her bikini size is.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Hey, Sean in the newsroom, because we know Mikey's opinion
- 33:04Speaker 3: is like, if you're friends with a girl, if you
- 33:05Speaker 3: have any, he's basically cut and dry, you're into her.
- 33:08Speaker 2: He wants to do it.
- 33:09Speaker 5: That's it.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Do you agree or do you think their shades are grey?
- 33:11Speaker 11: Yeah, I think so. If it was just one story view.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Yeah, he might have gone, I wonder what her friend
- 33:16Speaker 2: Sophie does or something.
- 33:17Speaker 10: He might have accidentally clicked it. No, he's looking all
- 33:20Speaker 10: the time. He's not following her. So, yeah, I'm in
- 33:24Speaker 10: my keys, Bert. I reckon he's... fully into.
- 33:26Speaker 2: What if he was planning to buy sophie a bikini
- 33:31Speaker 2: for her birthday and you.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Like why why would you buy your girlfriend's friend one
- 33:39Speaker 3: of those g-string ones yeah they're in fashion i'm just
- 33:43Speaker 3: trying to make sure you're keeping up.
- 33:44Speaker 2: See i can't come up with a reason a like
- 33:47Speaker 2: there's no reason it's.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Hard let's hear what johnny a guy has to say
- 33:50Speaker 3: what do you think johnny.
- 33:52Speaker 12: I think he's definitely into her, but she should ask
- 33:55Speaker 12: him first before jumping in between the relationship.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Oh, that's so awkward. Like, what would she ask him?
- 34:00Speaker 2: Why are you watching my stories? Yeah, that's not... No,
- 34:05Speaker 2: don't do that. Stacey, hello?
- 34:06Speaker 3: Just shut Johnny down.
- 34:07Speaker 2: No, I'm done with him.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Are you going to shut me down?
- 34:11Speaker 3: Mike, you're a bit nervous now. He probably will.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Depends what your opinion is. What do you think?
- 34:16Speaker 14: Look, I'm with what kind of Amy just said.
- 34:18Speaker 1: He hasn't done anything wrong yet. And in my opinion,
- 34:21Speaker 1: I don't think it's worth mentioning because if you're going
- 34:23Speaker 1: to post photos of you in a bikini or... kind
- 34:26Speaker 1: of those raunchy or sexy photos, you're going to get attention.
- 34:29Speaker 1: So is he the only boyfriend or male looking at it?
- 34:32Speaker 1: Like the point of those photos is to get attention
- 34:35Speaker 1: and he hasn't done anything. Yeah, he might think you're
- 34:37Speaker 1: hot or into you or whatever, but he's not.
- 34:39Speaker 15: Acting on it. I'm like, we all look at, well.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I guess we all look at photos of other people
- 34:45Speaker 1: at some point, but I'm like, I don't think, I'm
- 34:47Speaker 1: with you, I don't think he's done anything wrong yet.
- 34:49Speaker 2: You know the funny thing is, if he just followed her, right,
- 34:53Speaker 2: if he just followed her.
- 34:54Speaker 3: It's less weird.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Well, it is. It's just like, oh, yeah, he goes
- 34:56Speaker 2: through stories and all the people that you follow comes up. Like,
- 34:59Speaker 2: it's not, it's so much more innocent if he was following.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Hey, Sophie, I want to know, well, I'm assuming that
- 35:05Speaker 3: Sophie's single because otherwise. Oh, yeah, good point.
- 35:08Speaker 4: Sophie, are you single?
- 35:10Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I am.
- 35:12Speaker 3: So you are posting these bikini photos and things for
- 35:14Speaker 3: attention from guys, not her boyfriend, but other guys, right?
- 35:17Speaker 3: Like why else do girls post thirst traps?
- 35:21Speaker 8: I mean, because I can.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Yeah, fair enough.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Christian, your point of view here?
- 35:29Speaker 12: Wow.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Yeah, nah. Look, as a guy, trust me, he wants her.
- 35:34Speaker 8: How I see it, when they break up, he's sliding
- 35:37Speaker 8: right in.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Yeah, he's getting ready. Yeah.
- 35:40Speaker 12: He's getting ready 100%.
- 35:41Speaker 2: He already likes her, you can tell, or else you're
- 35:43Speaker 2: not looking, you know what I mean? If you don't
- 35:44Speaker 2: follow her, why look? So I reckon, as a guy, 100%,
- 35:48Speaker 2: once they're done, he's going right for it. Okay, and
- 35:52Speaker 2: they could be done once Sophie decides to tell her.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Are you going to tell your girlfriend, Sophie?
- 35:57Speaker 3: Yeah. I'm worried.
- 36:00Speaker 8: The thing is now, because I've noticed for a while,
- 36:03Speaker 8: it's the timeframe now. It's like, what if she gets,
- 36:09Speaker 8: upset because it's been a few weeks.
- 36:11Speaker 3: But she doesn't know how long you've noticed for. You
- 36:14Speaker 3: could literally pretend that you worked it out on the
- 36:16Speaker 3: weekend and you've just been like looking for the last
- 36:19Speaker 3: couple of days to try and see if it's a
- 36:22Speaker 3: consistent thing or an accident.
- 36:23Speaker 2: It's still going to sound crazy, isn't it? Hey, doll,
- 36:26Speaker 2: your girlfriend, your boyfriend keeps looking at my stories.
- 36:28Speaker 3: I'm just worried that it sounds as if you've got
- 36:30Speaker 3: like this, you know, Like this thing about yourself where
- 36:34Speaker 3: you think that you're hot.
- 36:39Speaker 2: You know what you could do? You literally could do
- 36:41Speaker 2: the thing where you said restrict him, right? So that's
- 36:43Speaker 2: kind of a poke at him. You don't say a
- 36:45Speaker 2: thing about it and you watch. They'll break up anyway.
- 36:48Speaker 2: But you don't have to get involved, you know?
- 36:52Speaker 3: Yeah, fair.
- 36:53Speaker 2: All right.
- 36:54Speaker 3: There's the solution. Mute him from your stories.
- 36:56Speaker 6: Mute him.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Yeah. And then all of a sudden you see the
- 36:59Speaker 3: same burner account.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Watching your stories every day. If he's that keen.
- 37:03Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 37:06Speaker 3: You know those friendships that you have where they're pretty superficial.
- 37:09Speaker 3: You know you like each other. You've met a few times.
- 37:12Speaker 3: You'll reply to each other's stories on socials, but you
- 37:15Speaker 3: never actually take that step to go, hey, do you
- 37:18Speaker 3: want to catch up or go for lunch or hang out?
- 37:20Speaker 2: Sounds more like a chick thing to me, but yeah.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's because, I don't know, you've said guys
- 37:24Speaker 3: don't make friends after they leave high school.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Not really.
- 37:27Speaker 3: So you've probably met so many people in your life
- 37:29Speaker 3: since high school, like 40 years ago, whenever you finished that,
- 37:33Speaker 3: you know, no, you've probably met so many people in
- 37:36Speaker 3: the workforce going out and like having beers and whatever
- 37:39Speaker 3: that you could have been actual really good mates with,
- 37:42Speaker 3: but you just never take that step to make it
- 37:44Speaker 3: a proper friendship.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Not really. I mean, I'd have beers with Sean, but
- 37:47Speaker 2: I'm not going to arrange it.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Well, he won't arrange it either. And then look, you're
- 37:52Speaker 3: stuck in this category. So according to a friendship coach,
- 37:56Speaker 3: There are two easy steps to get things moving in
- 37:59Speaker 3: one of these friendships that hasn't yet blossomed. Let's take
- 38:02Speaker 3: a listen.
- 38:03Speaker 5: Number one, stop giving them the edited version of your life.
- 38:05Speaker 5: When a friend asks you, how are you? And you say, good,
- 38:08Speaker 5: not much is new. Same, work's good, gym's good, da-da-da. Meanwhile,
- 38:11Speaker 5: you have 47 tabs open in your brain.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Tell her one of them.
- 38:15Speaker 5: Not every catch-up needs to be a therapy session, but
- 38:17Speaker 5: if you are only ever giving your friends the polished,
- 38:19Speaker 5: summarized version, they're eventually going to feel like they know
- 38:21Speaker 5: what's happening in your life without actually know what's going
- 38:24Speaker 5: on in your life. So basically she's saying friendships are
- 38:26Speaker 5: formed in your most vulnerable moments.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Gotcha.
- 38:47Speaker 2: So what she was saying at the start, there is
- 38:49Speaker 2: literally how me and my mates talk. Like I saw
- 38:51Speaker 2: them all yesterday. We went to the beach and we
- 38:53Speaker 2: were just like, hey, how are you?
- 38:55Speaker 4: You went to the beach with all the boys?
- 38:56Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 38:57Speaker 5: No.
- 38:57Speaker 2: We do that on a. Occasional weekend, we go and
- 38:59Speaker 2: hang out in the morning.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Do you still wear rashies to the beach?
- 39:01Speaker 2: No, I've never worn a rashie. I wore one once.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Yeah, because you were very skin.
- 39:05Speaker 4: Conscious. Very skin cancer conscious.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Yeah, because I'd had one cut out, but I got
- 39:09Speaker 2: over it. I'm not wearing a rashie.
- 39:09Speaker 11: I'm actually thinking about getting a rashie this week.
- 39:12Speaker 2: They are easier, aren't they?
- 39:13Speaker 3: Look how I'm just so white, you know?
- 39:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Are you wearing boardies as well?
- 39:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Rushy and aborties just wear a.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Wetsuit at this point like you.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Know it'd be easier.
- 39:25Speaker 4: Neither of you like wearing budgie smugglers.
- 39:27Speaker 2: No there's always one dude in the group that does
- 39:29Speaker 2: it though there's always like one.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Guy my partner wears budgie smugglers he looks great.
- 39:32Speaker 2: There you go but yeah so we were there yesterday
- 39:34Speaker 2: and i was like oh you're good yeah i was
- 39:36Speaker 2: work good yeah you're.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Good cool That sounds boring though.
- 39:40Speaker 2: We didn't really have much to talk about. I walked
- 39:41Speaker 2: away after a while.
- 39:42Speaker 3: You guys have already made your friendship over years of
- 39:44Speaker 3: being in each other's lives.
- 39:46Speaker 2: There's nothing to talk about.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Well, there would be, but I get that your friendship
- 39:49Speaker 3: has been forged. Therefore, you don't need to put in
- 39:51Speaker 3: the hard yards. But like you said, you'd get a
- 39:53Speaker 3: beer with Sean because you like him. You're never going
- 39:55Speaker 3: to ask, but you would. What about like Alec on
- 39:57Speaker 3: the team here? You've known Alec for a while. So
- 39:59Speaker 3: you could be friends with Alec.
- 40:01Speaker 2: He's going to piss off back to the UK.
- 40:03Speaker 4: We don't know that.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Alec, can you come in here, please?
- 40:05Speaker 6: Do I get a say in this friendship?
- 40:07Speaker 5: Nah. Nah.
- 40:09Speaker 10: I reckon, like, if Mikey, myself, Alec, the guys out
- 40:13Speaker 10: there went for beers, we wouldn't talk about much.
- 40:16Speaker 2: But it would be a work shit.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Alec, what I'm going to do is an experiment here
- 40:19Speaker 3: where Mikey and you are going to try and become
- 40:21Speaker 3: more than work friends because she said the way to
- 40:24Speaker 3: go about it is by, like, revealing something about your
- 40:27Speaker 3: life that's happening now.
- 40:29Speaker 4: So, Mikey, let's.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Get you to do it.
- 40:31Speaker 2: You want me to?
- 40:32Speaker 6: Yep.
- 40:32Speaker 3: So I want you to lead the way here.
- 40:33Speaker 4: This is growth.
- 40:34Speaker 3: This is what we call growth.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Oh, I don't like growth.
- 40:36Speaker 3: So I want you to lead the way here and
- 40:38Speaker 3: I want you to chat to Alec, pretend I'm not here,
- 40:41Speaker 3: about something going on in your life and see if
- 40:42Speaker 3: you two bond over it.
- 40:44Speaker 4: I'll turn my mic off.
- 40:45Speaker 3: How about that?
- 40:46Speaker 2: How are you, man? You good?
- 40:47Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 40:47Speaker 7: Yeah, mate.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:49Speaker 6: All right.
- 40:49Speaker 2: I've got to take my, actually, I've got to leave
- 40:52Speaker 2: after the show. I'm meant to have a skin check
- 40:54Speaker 2: talking of. It's been a year since I've had one
- 40:56Speaker 2: of them.
- 40:57Speaker 6: Oh, right. Are you expecting good results?
- 40:58Speaker 2: Hopefully. It's always when you go in there, you're always like, oh,
- 41:01Speaker 2: if he finds something, it's going to be melanoma stage
- 41:03Speaker 2: nine and I'm going to die. Like you get a
- 41:05Speaker 2: bit paranoid. But my real thing is after that, I've
- 41:08Speaker 2: got a bit of a problem with a cat.
- 41:10Speaker 7: Oh, no.
- 41:11Speaker 6: What's wrong with the cat?
- 41:12Speaker 2: She stopped eating, which anyone that has ever had a
- 41:14Speaker 2: cat knows is not good. So I'm really worried.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Sorry, Nat here.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Is this how you talk to your friends when you're
- 41:20Speaker 3: not on radio?
- 41:21Speaker 2: No, that's why we don't talk.
- 41:22Speaker 3: No, but pretend you're not on radio because you're going,
- 41:24Speaker 3: anyone who knows would know that.
- 41:26Speaker 4: You know what I mean? It's just you and Alec
- 41:28Speaker 4: in a room alone.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got to take the cat to the... Oh, shit.
- 41:33Speaker 6: I hope she's okay.
- 41:35Speaker 2: And that'll do. That's how men are.
- 41:37Speaker 3: That was the worst conversation I've ever had. Surely you'd
- 41:41Speaker 3: go to your mate like, oh, I've got something going
- 41:43Speaker 3: on with the cat.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Oh, my mates are going, you've got a cat, you.
- 41:47Speaker 11: He can't say it.
- 41:49Speaker 3: What would they think you are? What would they think
- 41:52Speaker 3: you are?
- 41:52Speaker 2: Because you've got a cap.
- 41:56Speaker 11: Shit cap.
- 41:57Speaker 2: You know the word they use.
- 42:00Speaker 3: Wait, Zane, what's the word that he was going to say?
- 42:03Speaker 3: I'm not saying it.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Our sense is back.
- 42:07Speaker 11: Hello.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Hi, Fong.
- 42:09Speaker 4: How convenient.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Yeah, nah. They would. They'd just pay you out. Whereas
- 42:12Speaker 2: I feel like you could talk to a female about
- 42:14Speaker 2: that more. I was ranting and raving to you when
- 42:16Speaker 2: I came in about it.
- 42:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you were. I don't know.
- 42:18Speaker 15: I reckon.
- 42:19Speaker 2: I don't know what the point of this lesson was.
- 42:20Speaker 2: Men don't talk?
- 42:21Speaker 3: No, men.
- 42:22Speaker 4: You guys could... You're limiting your friendships in your life.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Yeah, but we don't... And then... No, and I'm going
- 42:27Speaker 3: to be serious here. Mental health in men is really
- 42:30Speaker 3: important because men feel as if they can't speak to
- 42:32Speaker 3: other men because the other men don't want.
- 42:34Speaker 2: To hear it.
- 42:35Speaker 6: Yes.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Whereas if you just, you know, just let trauma dump
- 42:38Speaker 3: on your friends... Tell Alec about your feelings. Tell Alec
- 42:43Speaker 3: about how you feel that you're alone at the moment
- 42:45Speaker 3: because your girlfriend's in Bali.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Well, that's... Yeah, that is... It would be helpful to
- 42:49Speaker 2: have her now. I should talk to her about it. No,
- 42:51Speaker 2: I'm genuinely worried because a cat not eating is not good.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:55Speaker 6: That sucks.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Alec, you're the worst. You're the problem here.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Alec, tell Mikey what happened on the weekend with your girls.
- 43:04Speaker 2: What girls?
- 43:05Speaker 3: Oh, what happened?
- 43:06Speaker 6: I was out on the weekend. Saturday night. Big night out.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Did you get.
- 43:10Speaker 13: I was the only straight man with like 10 beautiful,
- 43:13Speaker 13: beautiful women.
- 43:15Speaker 2: And not one of them was interested?
- 43:17Speaker 9: No, not one.
- 43:17Speaker 6: Couldn't be bothered.
- 43:19Speaker 4: So what did it end with? You getting anyone's number?
- 43:22Speaker 6: No, it ended with me and Hungry Jacks. Hang on.
- 43:27Speaker 2: So there were ten hot single women.
- 43:30Speaker 6: And one straight man, which was me.
- 43:32Speaker 3: How did you find yourself in such a situation?
- 43:34Speaker 6: It was my friend's birthday.
- 43:35Speaker 2: You should have picked up at least five of them.
- 43:38Speaker 12: Yes.
- 43:38Speaker 3: Okay, gotcha. Five of them. Okay, all right.
- 43:41Speaker 6: I would have settled for one, but too lazy. So
- 43:44Speaker 6: did you try?
- 43:45Speaker 11: Not really, no.
- 43:46Speaker 3: This is your problem. Now, I know you didn't ask me,
- 43:49Speaker 3: but I'm going to offer you my advice anyway.
- 43:50Speaker 6: Do you not think this break's gone on a bit long?
- 43:52Speaker 3: No.
- 43:52Speaker 10: Okay.
- 43:52Speaker 3: I think we've got time. No, it's five minutes.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Okay, carry on.
- 43:54Speaker 3: We've got a timer. No, I think, and I've noticed,
- 43:57Speaker 3: you instinctively just friendzone women because it's easier and you're
- 44:01Speaker 3: like a girl's guy.
- 44:02Speaker 2: He's not letting himself open up to the possibility.
- 44:03Speaker 3: You are not trying to flirt with them. You're just going, oh,
- 44:07Speaker 3: I like them so they can be my friend.
- 44:09Speaker 7: You know?
- 44:10Speaker 6: You know, that's fair. I feel like.
- 44:12Speaker 13: I have created a reputation for myself, my actual thoughts,
- 44:16Speaker 13: as like people always like, oh, your presence is very
- 44:18Speaker 13: like disarming.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Yes.
- 44:20Speaker 6: Like I don't feel threatened by you.
- 44:21Speaker 3: And that's great.
- 44:21Speaker 13: But then I'm like, okay, but if I did actually
- 44:23Speaker 13: want to try it on with you, I'd feel bad
- 44:25Speaker 13: for letting you down and being like every other straight man.
- 44:28Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 44:30Speaker 8: What?
- 44:30Speaker 3: Yeah, this is the world we live in, Mikey. Men
- 44:33Speaker 3: are too scared to even approach women.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Disappoint her sexually.
- 44:36Speaker 3: Is that what you're saying? No, that's not what I'm saying, Mikey.
- 44:38Speaker 3: He's saying because he knows so many men exist that
- 44:42Speaker 3: are just shitsies, right? He then, because women feel safe
- 44:46Speaker 3: around him, he's scared to make a move on them
- 44:48Speaker 3: because then they might go, oh, great, you're just like
- 44:51Speaker 3: all the rest of them. I thought you were safe
- 44:53Speaker 3: to be around without trying to crack onto me. And
- 44:55Speaker 3: this is the problem in this day and age. And
- 44:58Speaker 3: this is why men don't approach women anymore.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Yeah, just follow them on Instagram and look at their stories.
- 45:04Speaker 6: Good idea.
- 45:05Speaker 3: I don't feel like we've solved the problem here.
- 45:08Speaker 2: No, I don't even know what we were trying to do.
- 45:09Speaker 3: I don't know how we got here, but now I'm
- 45:11Speaker 3: really passionate about this.
- 45:12Speaker 6: Do you want me to go to the pub with
- 45:14Speaker 6: Mikey after the show?
- 45:16Speaker 2: I've got to take my cat to the vet.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Oh, what a shame.
- 45:18Speaker 8: Never mind.
- 45:19Speaker 6: Can I go now?
- 45:20Speaker 2: Yeah, get out of here.
- 45:20Speaker 6: Thanks, bye.
- 45:21Speaker 2: All right, so coming up, I'm going to tell you. Oh,
- 45:24Speaker 2: that's right. Amy ran this workshop about how to break
- 45:27Speaker 2: up with someone.
- 45:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:28Speaker 2: And I said.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Very helpful because men don't know how to do it.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Well, it's my time. How to manipulate your ex to
- 45:34Speaker 2: get back with you.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I like this.
- 45:36Speaker 2: It's a good workshop and we're going to do it next. Hey,
- 45:39Speaker 2: so last week on the show, Amy gave us a
- 45:41Speaker 2: workshop of how to break up with someone properly, right?
- 45:44Speaker 3: How to break up with a woman properly. Because men
- 45:47Speaker 3: seem to struggle with that. And I understand. It's a
- 45:50Speaker 3: difficult conversation to have. So you just want to try
- 45:52Speaker 3: and do something that's not going to make the situation worse.
- 45:56Speaker 2: And I'm all down with that. My problem with it
- 45:58Speaker 2: was it's overwhelmingly the woman that does the breaking up anyway.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Mostly.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Yeah, and I was saying, yeah, yeah, good advice. But
- 46:05Speaker 2: what about how to get a woman back? That's what
- 46:08Speaker 2: I think would be more useful.
- 46:10Speaker 3: For men to understand. Yeah, because you're saying it's mostly
- 46:12Speaker 3: women who break up with you. So when they do
- 46:14Speaker 3: make that decision, because probably you've dropped the ball and
- 46:17Speaker 3: you've been a bit shit. Here's how to win them back.
- 46:20Speaker 12: Yep.
- 46:20Speaker 3: You're saying manipulate them back. Why don't we change it
- 46:23Speaker 3: to how to win them back?
- 46:24Speaker 2: All right. How to win them back. If you want
- 46:26Speaker 2: them back, here's what you've got to do. Up first,
- 46:29Speaker 2: completely ignore them.
- 46:31Speaker 15: Right?
- 46:31Speaker 2: So if she dumps you, no contact rule. You do
- 46:34Speaker 2: not talk at all.
- 46:35Speaker 3: What if she contacts you?
- 46:36Speaker 2: You don't reach out. Oh, you could write back after
- 46:39Speaker 2: a while, but you'd keep it very like, yeah, I'm cool.
- 46:41Speaker 3: So let's say she says, hey, just checking in to
- 46:43Speaker 3: see how you're feeling.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Oh, I've had them before. Why are you doing that,
- 46:47Speaker 2: by the way?
- 46:47Speaker 3: It's for you, not for them. You want to feel
- 46:49Speaker 3: better about yourself. Yeah.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Well, you wouldn't go, yeah, I'm fine. But you're like, yeah,
- 46:53Speaker 2: you know.
- 46:54Speaker 4: All good considering.
- 46:55Speaker 2: All good. Yeah. Getting on with it. Right. So, but
- 46:58Speaker 2: no reaching out. None of these drunken late phone calls
- 47:01Speaker 2: and texts.
- 47:02Speaker 3: And you're saying definitely don't be like, I'm heartbroken. Like
- 47:05Speaker 3: you have to be a bit neutral.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Yeah, don't show that you're that upset, right? So yeah,
- 47:10Speaker 2: but basically ignore them. The no contact rule is what
- 47:14Speaker 2: you should do.
- 47:14Speaker 6: After a breakup.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I wholeheartedly believe in the no contact rule.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Yep, there is no need. I know because if you've
- 47:19Speaker 2: been with someone for years, you're used to talking to
- 47:21Speaker 2: them every day and sending them a text and a
- 47:23Speaker 2: photo or whatever. You just got to completely cut off.
- 47:26Speaker 3: It's also more complicated when you live together. Or things
- 47:29Speaker 3: like that. So I feel as if this potentially works
- 47:32Speaker 3: for non-living together relationships.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but they can be the living together ones.
- 47:36Speaker 2: If she breaks up with you and moves out, you
- 47:38Speaker 2: will have a bit of contact, like of logistics.
- 47:40Speaker 3: Yeah, and then as soon as the move out happens,
- 47:43Speaker 3: this process starts.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Okay, cool. Then you've got to make them jealous.
- 47:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 47:47Speaker 2: So you've got to start liking other girls' photos on Instagram.
- 47:51Speaker 4: Girls you know she'll see.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Okay.
- 47:53Speaker 2: There should be photos of you, not overt, but there
- 47:57Speaker 2: should be like a hand in the photo.
- 48:00Speaker 11: Right.
- 48:00Speaker 9: Right?
- 48:01Speaker 2: Or, you know, a cocktail.
- 48:02Speaker 4: Or a woman's foot in the corner.
- 48:05Speaker 8: Okay.
- 48:05Speaker 2: Or you're like going to, I don't know, places that
- 48:07Speaker 2: you wouldn't go to usually, like, I don't know, the
- 48:09Speaker 2: markets or something like that.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Yeah, the farmer's markets on a Sunday. Yeah.
- 48:12Speaker 13: Holidays.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Holidays. That'll work. Go on a holiday.
- 48:15Speaker 4: And look really happy.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Look happy. Have random females. You need a lot of
- 48:20Speaker 2: random females in your Instagram stories and photos.
- 48:22Speaker 3: And a lot of this is social media based, I've noticed.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Absolutely, yeah. So that's where you start to make her jealous.
- 48:28Speaker 2: Then they will reach out. They always do. What is
- 48:32Speaker 2: it with you women? I've had it every time I've
- 48:34Speaker 2: been broken up with. I would say 90% of the
- 48:37Speaker 2: women two or three months later have tried to come back.
- 48:41Speaker 2: How do you do that? After I've done all of this,
- 48:44Speaker 2: by the way. But I am genuinely getting on with
- 48:47Speaker 2: my life and then you come back. Why do you
- 48:48Speaker 2: do that?
- 48:49Speaker 3: I don't know. Because I would generally argue when I've
- 48:52Speaker 3: ended relationships, I've ended them and I'm certain that I
- 48:56Speaker 3: don't want to go back.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Well, maybe it's not everyone. I don't know. But maybe
- 48:59Speaker 2: your dudes didn't follow this.
- 49:01Speaker 3: Yes. They weren't doing this process.
- 49:03Speaker 2: So you've ignored them. You haven't begged. And then it
- 49:06Speaker 2: looks like you're getting on with your life and there's
- 49:07Speaker 2: other women in your life. And I remember doing like
- 49:10Speaker 2: a holiday thing. It was like this Contiki tour or something.
- 49:12Speaker 2: And there were so many different women in the photos.
- 49:15Speaker 2: And then I got back from that holiday.
- 49:17Speaker 15: Bang.
- 49:17Speaker 2: She started blowing up my phone.
- 49:18Speaker 3: I think it's because it comes down to that as
- 49:20Speaker 3: soon as someone else wants something, you want it too.
- 49:22Speaker 12: Right.
- 49:23Speaker 3: So it's like, wait, why do so many women want him?
- 49:25Speaker 3: Have I made a mistake? I think that's the mentality
- 49:27Speaker 3: of your exes.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Well, and then here is the final step, right? When
- 49:31Speaker 2: they reach out and they will, leave them on read.
- 49:35Speaker 2: First go.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Oh, so they have to reach out twice.
- 49:38Speaker 15: Yep.
- 49:39Speaker 4: And they will?
- 49:40Speaker 6: Yeah, they will.
- 49:41Speaker 9: Yep.
- 49:41Speaker 2: And I remember with that one, she wrote me this
- 49:43Speaker 2: whole essay. Oh, I can see you had fun traveling
- 49:45Speaker 2: and blah, blah, blah. And I just looked at it
- 49:47Speaker 2: and went, obviously, I wanted to write back, but I didn't.
- 49:49Speaker 2: I left it on read.
- 49:50Speaker 3: I fully get that, though, because I'm like, if you're
- 49:53Speaker 3: left on read, you're like, oh, crap. That's where the
- 49:56Speaker 3: moment would be like, oh, he's done with me. So
- 49:59Speaker 3: then you have to re-approach. Yep.
- 50:01Speaker 2: And if they re-approach, then you can catch up. But
- 50:04Speaker 2: it's got to be up to them.
- 50:05Speaker 11: Right.
- 50:06Speaker 2: So you never say, no, let's catch up and talk.
- 50:08Speaker 2: You want them to do it. And then if they do,
- 50:11Speaker 2: you can go from there.
- 50:12Speaker 3: This works because in two ways, I don't like the
- 50:15Speaker 3: manipulate thing, but I do like the, you know, you're
- 50:17Speaker 3: still in love with them. And if you want them back,
- 50:19Speaker 3: you should have a chance.
- 50:20Speaker 11: Right.
- 50:20Speaker 3: So if you're putting your best, your best chance forward,
- 50:24Speaker 3: but it works in two ways because then if she
- 50:25Speaker 3: doesn't come back, you still already started all the steps
- 50:28Speaker 3: to move on anyway. Because great, going out, going on
- 50:31Speaker 3: a holiday, these are all great things to just move
- 50:32Speaker 3: on anyway.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Exactly. So it's a win-win. You might be the whole
- 50:36Speaker 2: time still thinking about her during that holiday and these
- 50:40Speaker 2: girls that you're seeing. By the way, if they're just
- 50:42Speaker 2: friends but they look attractive, get them in the Instagram story.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Just random. Just go up to tables with different women
- 50:47Speaker 2: and get photos.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Do you reckon when you're away you just go, hey,
- 50:50Speaker 3: I'm trying to make my ex jealous.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Get a photo with me.
- 50:52Speaker 3: She'll never know.
- 50:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what you've got to do and it'll work.
- 50:55Speaker 2: And you're right, it's win-win.
- 50:57Speaker 3: I think this only works, though, if she hasn't moved
- 50:59Speaker 3: on with another person. Because once you move on, women,
- 51:02Speaker 3: we only focus on one person at a time. So
- 51:05Speaker 3: if she's met a new guy, I don't think she'll
- 51:07Speaker 3: care if you're doing any of this.
- 51:09Speaker 2: But it'll still be a win because it'll look like
- 51:11Speaker 2: you're not heartbroken and you got on with your life.
- 51:13Speaker 2: So it's a fake it till you make it. You
- 51:15Speaker 2: like my advice, Sean? I know you've had a couple
- 51:16Speaker 2: of women.
- 51:17Speaker 11: Yeah, I've never done the dumping. They've always done the
- 51:19Speaker 11: dumping on me.
- 51:20Speaker 2: And that'll work, right?
- 51:21Speaker 10: Yeah, I suppose. I've always gone silent after that happens.
- 51:26Speaker 10: I never reach out again. I'm like, all right, well,
- 51:28Speaker 10: if that's the way it is, then I'll move on.
- 51:30Speaker 2: But there's more chance of them coming back if you
- 51:32Speaker 2: ignore them than you reach out.
- 51:34Speaker 3: It is the key, though. Anyone who begs for someone
- 51:36Speaker 3: to stay in a relationship with.
- 51:38Speaker 6: Them, never.
- 51:39Speaker 11: Just digging that hole deeper.
- 51:41Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the thing. If someone decides they don't want
- 51:43Speaker 3: to be with you, and we've all been guilty of
- 51:45Speaker 3: it before, like, please don't do this. But, like, if
- 51:47Speaker 3: someone's decided they don't want to be with you, you
- 51:48Speaker 3: just need to go, okay.
- 51:50Speaker 6: Cool. All right.
- 51:50Speaker 2: And then they will want you.
- 51:52Speaker 4: I wish that wasn't the case, but what are you
- 51:54Speaker 4: going to do about it?
- 51:55Speaker 3: Right.
- 51:55Speaker 2: And then they will want you back because you all
- 51:57Speaker 2: want what you can't have.
- 51:59Speaker 4: God, we're simple beings, aren't we?
- 52:01Speaker 2: That is how you manipulate your ex to come back.
- 52:04Speaker 4: A Mikey workshop.
- 52:06Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 52:08Speaker 2: Hey, you know, we were just talking about when your
- 52:10Speaker 2: partner was in Bali and my girlfriend's in Bali right
- 52:13Speaker 2: now with a couple of girlfriends.
- 52:15Speaker 4: I've still never been to Bali.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Yeah, well, there's other places I prefer to go. I
- 52:20Speaker 2: don't mind Bali for a bit of fun, but I
- 52:22Speaker 2: want to run something past you and I can't screw
- 52:25Speaker 2: up here and say where we're going. So long year
- 52:28Speaker 2: for me. Need a holiday.
- 52:30Speaker 11: Of course.
- 52:31Speaker 2: And I have booked a holiday. I've booked and paid
- 52:34Speaker 2: for all of it. On Boxing Day. But I haven't
- 52:39Speaker 2: told my girlfriend where we're going.
- 52:41Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 52:41Speaker 2: And I can't say it. I've got to be very
- 52:43Speaker 2: careful here.
- 52:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 52:44Speaker 4: You've organized everything.
- 52:45Speaker 3: Yep.
- 52:46Speaker 2: It's all booked, all done.
- 52:47Speaker 3: Paid for it all.
- 52:47Speaker 2: It's all done. And it's a surprise for her. Yeah,
- 52:50Speaker 2: but it's really like I'm not making out as if it's, oh,
- 52:52Speaker 2: here's your present. Like it's me that wants to go
- 52:56Speaker 2: to said place. But she's along for the ride for
- 52:59Speaker 2: a free trip.
- 53:00Speaker 4: So she knows she's going.
- 53:02Speaker 3: Yep.
- 53:03Speaker 2: I've asked her to get the time off. So that's
- 53:06Speaker 2: locked in.
- 53:06Speaker 4: So wait, the only thing she doesn't know is.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Is the location. And I want to know, do I
- 53:11Speaker 2: have to tell her? How long can I push her?
- 53:13Speaker 2: Because I keep dropping hints. And she's not a moron.
- 53:16Speaker 2: She knows where I'd like to go. So I think
- 53:18Speaker 2: she might have a fair idea. But I'm like, oh,
- 53:21Speaker 2: it's going to be a cold climate. You're going to
- 53:23Speaker 2: have to pack lots of cold clothes. But it's not.
- 53:26Speaker 3: Or it is, maybe. I don't know.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Where is it?
- 53:28Speaker 3: Don't ruin it. In theory, it sounds great. It's like
- 53:32Speaker 3: your boyfriend going, get dressed.
- 53:34Speaker 4: We're going to dinner.
- 53:34Speaker 3: I'm not telling you where.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do here.
- 53:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 53:37Speaker 4: There's a little bit more.
- 53:37Speaker 3: To it when it comes to a holiday because she's
- 53:40Speaker 3: like women when we plan a holiday, I don't know
- 53:42Speaker 3: about her, but I do a whole list in my
- 53:43Speaker 3: notes in my phone and I go as far as
- 53:46Speaker 3: like on this day I'll wear this, on this day
- 53:48Speaker 3: I'll wear this. Otherwise we can overpack really badly because
- 53:52Speaker 3: we want options for outfits.
- 53:54Speaker 2: So do I have to tell her exactly where we're
- 53:56Speaker 2: going then?
- 53:57Speaker 3: I feel as if she needs to have like if
- 53:59Speaker 3: there's a massive difference in packing between if you're going to,
- 54:02Speaker 3: I don't know, The North Pole.
- 54:05Speaker 2: To see Santa.
- 54:07Speaker 3: To see Santa.
- 54:08Speaker 2: He should be back by Boxing Day.
- 54:09Speaker 3: He should. So there's a massive difference between Antarctica, for
- 54:13Speaker 3: argument's sake, and, you know, Mexico. Fiji or something, yeah.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:17Speaker 3: So I feel as if you've got to give her
- 54:19Speaker 3: some sort of an idea. And if you're getting to
- 54:22Speaker 3: that point, just tell her.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Okay, so Chelsea is nodding along here.
- 54:26Speaker 4: Do you like my idea? It's a great idea, but
- 54:29Speaker 4: you do need to tell her. I think tell her
- 54:30Speaker 4: on Christmas Day.
- 54:31Speaker 3: But then she's only got a day to pack. Yeah,
- 54:33Speaker 3: that's all right. Is it a morning flight?
- 54:35Speaker 2: Boxing Day morning, yeah.
- 54:37Speaker 3: Oh.
- 54:37Speaker 4: Tell her Christmas Eve.
- 54:39Speaker 3: Okay, yeah.
- 54:40Speaker 12: Okay.
- 54:40Speaker 2: I could even ruin that. She could look what flights
- 54:43Speaker 2: are going out Boxing Day morning from the airport.
- 54:46Speaker 3: No, but there'd be flights everywhere. There'd be flights everywhere.
- 54:49Speaker 1: Okay.
- 54:49Speaker 3: But I think, okay, maybe that's a good idea.
- 54:51Speaker 2: Christmas Eve.
- 54:52Speaker 3: No, even Christmas Day, because then if she's like, you
- 54:54Speaker 3: think she's not dumb, she's gotten an idea anyway. So
- 54:57Speaker 3: then if she's completely packed wrong, she's got a full
- 55:00Speaker 3: 24 hours to correct it.
- 55:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:03Speaker 3: Otherwise she might just be doing minor adjustments, but at
- 55:05Speaker 3: the very least she'll have like, you know, her cosmetics
- 55:07Speaker 3: and all that stuff packed.
- 55:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 55:08Speaker 2: So done.
- 55:09Speaker 13: Right.
- 55:09Speaker 2: So you're saying Christmas Eve.
- 55:10Speaker 3: I just don't think you can raw dog it and
- 55:12Speaker 3: her not know at all where she's going.
- 55:14Speaker 2: It's funny because with a dude, you could. If she said, oh,
- 55:16Speaker 2: we're going away tomorrow.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Yeah, because you guys just pack shorts and a t-shirt
- 55:20Speaker 3: no matter where you... When we recently went away, me
- 55:22Speaker 3: and my fiance, he just put, like literally carry on,
- 55:25Speaker 3: packed it the night of and just literally... I think
- 55:29Speaker 3: I even just put stuff there for him. I said, oh,
- 55:30Speaker 3: there's a white t-shirt, a black t-shirt, training shorts, shoes,
- 55:33Speaker 3: and then normal... And then even when we were there,
- 55:36Speaker 3: he's like, oh, I didn't bring thongs. And he just
- 55:37Speaker 3: bought thongs. Yeah, exactly.
- 55:38Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 55:39Speaker 2: I went to bloody Europe in winter with carry on.
- 55:42Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 55:42Speaker 2: He's got a big coat on the plane. It's fine.
- 55:45Speaker 3: It's so hard for us. We have to bring so
- 55:47Speaker 3: much stuff.
- 55:47Speaker 2: Oh, the pom. You packed an hour before you came
- 55:50Speaker 2: to Australia.
- 55:50Speaker 11: To live?
- 55:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 55:52Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 55:53Speaker 6: Put it all in my suitcase. Threw it in like
- 55:54Speaker 6: an hour before I had to leave to go to
- 55:55Speaker 6: the airport.
- 55:56Speaker 4: What did you bring with you?
- 55:58Speaker 6: I forgot shorts, actually.
- 55:59Speaker 2: Oh, but you can buy them. We have shorts shops here.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Put in your undies.
- 56:02Speaker 13: I was wearing jeans because it was like really cold
- 56:04Speaker 13: in the UK and then I got here and it
- 56:06Speaker 13: was really hot.
- 56:06Speaker 2: Oh, you can buy them.
- 56:07Speaker 6: I went to Gazman.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Gazman?
- 56:10Speaker 6: Yeah, on my first day, I went to Gazman to
- 56:12Speaker 6: buy shorts.
- 56:13Speaker 3: You're like, oh, this is the hip new shop that
- 56:14Speaker 3: everyone's shopping at.
- 56:15Speaker 13: Yeah, and I didn't know then, but I do know
- 56:16Speaker 13: now that Gazman's a bit daggy. But great if they're
- 56:19Speaker 13: a client.
- 56:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Shout out to Gazman. Sure they've got a sale on
- 56:25Speaker 2: right now. And we're taking your last calls now, 131065. Hello, Sarah.
- 56:29Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 56:31Speaker 15: Hello, Mikey.
- 56:31Speaker 3: Hello.
- 56:32Speaker 2: What do you want to talk about?
- 56:34Speaker 15: I've got an update on that Kelly Clarkson story you
- 56:36Speaker 15: guys just talked about.
- 56:37Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, I just brought it to you in Celeb News.
- 56:39Speaker 3: So basically Kelly Clarkson had like a pretty woman moment
- 56:42Speaker 3: where she claims she went into a toy shop in
- 56:45Speaker 3: Brooklyn to buy something and the staff there treated her
- 56:48Speaker 3: like she shouldn't have been in there and she didn't
- 56:49Speaker 3: belong there. And she tweeted about it and, yeah. So
- 56:51Speaker 3: what's your update?
- 56:53Speaker 15: So the store has clapped back today saying that she
- 56:58Speaker 15: tried to come in and buy a toy, a bird
- 57:01Speaker 15: that was attached to the wall and it wasn't for sale.
- 57:04Speaker 15: So I love Kelly, but I feel like this is
- 57:07Speaker 15: not going to go well for her.
- 57:08Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, we got the post here. So Art of Play,
- 57:10Speaker 3: which is the store, and she named and shamed.
- 57:12Speaker 6: Them as well.
- 57:13Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 57:13Speaker 4: Two hours ago posted.
- 57:15Speaker 3: Yesterday, Kelly Clarkson visited us and inquired about buying Molly,
- 57:19Speaker 3: a one-of-a-kind singing and dancing bird automation who plays an
- 57:22Speaker 3: important role in the magic shows we host here. Molly
- 57:25Speaker 3: is permanently attached to the wall and isn't for sale. However,
- 57:28Speaker 3: the negative experience Kelly described on Twitter would resonate with
- 57:31Speaker 3: anyone who's ever felt judged on a show. Okay, so
- 57:33Speaker 3: they're still trying to understand her feelings.
- 57:35Speaker 2: But she tried to buy... Something that was for display,
- 57:39Speaker 2: not for sale.
- 57:39Speaker 3: That's like me going into David Jones and going, I
- 57:42Speaker 3: want that massive Christmas tree.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Yeah, they're like, not for sale. Yeah, that's a display.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Fair enough.
- 57:47Speaker 4: That's fair enough.
- 57:49Speaker 3: And the problem is with someone like Kelly's power.
- 57:53Speaker 2: She's ruined that shop.
- 57:54Speaker 3: Yeah, she's ruined their reputation. So I feel bad for them.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Totally. Well, they've put a statement out. You can look
- 57:59Speaker 2: it up, Art of Play on Instagram.
- 58:01Speaker 3: I mean, no one here is going to Art of
- 58:02Speaker 3: Play in Brooklyn. No, but if you want to read
- 58:04Speaker 3: their whole statement. Why is she going to a toy
- 58:05Speaker 3: shop anyway?
- 58:05Speaker 2: She's got kids.
- 58:06Speaker 3: But they're older, aren't they?
- 58:08Speaker 2: Maybe for nephews or something.
- 58:10Speaker 3: You know what the worst thing is? Buying toys for
- 58:13Speaker 3: kids that aren't your own. Because I have nieces and nephews.
- 58:16Speaker 3: I'm going to have kids of my own soon. But
- 58:18Speaker 3: Christmas time means I have to go to a shop
- 58:20Speaker 3: and I stand in Kmart or wherever I go. And
- 58:22Speaker 3: I have to try and work out what a four-year-old
- 58:24Speaker 3: wants to play with. Then I'll buy something. He's already
- 58:26Speaker 3: got it. Or I'll buy something and they're like, oh, no,
- 58:28Speaker 3: he moved on from Sonic. And I'm like, how am
- 58:30Speaker 3: I supposed to know?
- 58:31Speaker 2: I just give them cash now because I have no idea.
- 58:33Speaker 3: Can you give kids cash?
- 58:35Speaker 2: Well, like a 10-year-old or something, yeah.
- 58:36Speaker 4: Yeah, but what about like a two-year-old?
- 58:39Speaker 2: No, that's where it's hard. You've got to get it.
- 58:41Speaker 3: Yeah, cash in and out. I always want to buy
- 58:43Speaker 3: them clothes, but then I'm buying for the parent, not the,
- 58:45Speaker 3: you know what I mean?
- 58:47Speaker 12: Yes.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Christy Lee, you've called in.
- 58:50Speaker 9: Good morning, guys. How are you going?
- 58:51Speaker 12: Good.
- 58:52Speaker 2: What do you want to say?
- 58:53Speaker 9: Listen, I was also in a similar experience with Kelly
- 58:57Speaker 9: where I was actually turned away from an event that
- 59:00Speaker 9: I was due to help set up and run.
- 59:02Speaker 3: Why?
- 59:02Speaker 2: Why?
- 59:03Speaker 9: So when I got there, I was just in my
- 59:05Speaker 9: basic everyday outfit. I was working for an events company
- 59:08Speaker 9: in Sydney. It was meant to go inside.
- 59:10Speaker 8: Up.
- 59:10Speaker 9: It was a prestige gala event. I just wrapped up
- 59:12Speaker 9: in my everyday work clothes, wasn't given a brief. And
- 59:15Speaker 9: then I get to the door. I've got our van
- 59:17Speaker 9: that's got everything ready to set up for their blackjack
- 59:19Speaker 9: and poker nights. And they're like, excuse me, who are you?
- 59:22Speaker 9: You can't come in dressed like that. This is like
- 59:23Speaker 9: a luxurious event. I'm like, okay, well, I'm going to
- 59:26Speaker 9: be the one setting it up. So if I don't
- 59:28Speaker 9: set up, is it going to be behind schedule? It's
- 59:30Speaker 9: going to be a whole thing. I had to call
- 59:31Speaker 9: my boss who brought me a dress from her own wardrobe.
- 59:35Speaker 9: And then I was like, suck it, because I was
- 59:37Speaker 9: able to then get in.
- 59:38Speaker 3: But to set up, I don't understand why you had
- 59:40Speaker 3: to be in like a ball gown.
- 59:42Speaker 4: What were you in, like a suit, like a, you know,
- 59:44Speaker 4: skirt and top or something?
- 59:46Speaker 9: No, we were literally in activewear bottoms, joggers, and like Apollo.
- 59:51Speaker 2: You're setting up, right?
- 59:52Speaker 3: And it's before the guests are there.
- 59:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 59:54Speaker 13: Oh, God.
- 59:55Speaker 2: A bunch of posh losers. Our last call, Renata. What
- 59:59Speaker 2: do you want to talk about?
- 1:00:01Speaker 15: Good morning.
- 1:00:02Speaker 9: I want to talk to you, Mikey, about your secret holiday.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: Ah, yes. I've booked and planned something for the end
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: of the year and I haven't told my girlfriend. With
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: your girlfriend.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: You've told her you're going away.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: But not where.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: And I'm not going to say where we're going.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: But I think you should because she, as a woman,
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: needs to prepare for whatever the climate is and also
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: pack for the activities and things like that.
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: What do you think, Renata?
- 1:00:22Speaker 15: I think you've got to keep it a secret and
- 1:00:25Speaker 15: I know how. So you just look up the weather forecast.
- 1:00:29Speaker 15: Take a screenshot, crop out.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: The location, and she can plan exactly what to wear
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: without knowing where she's going.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: I love that. Although you reckon with Shad GPT, she
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: could put that in and say, what is.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: This forecast for?
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: Shad GPT has ruined everything.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: I can at least just say it's going to be
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: warm every day.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: Have you told her exactly what time the flight is?
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: Oh, she can work it out anyway.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Oh, what flights leave at 9.50?
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: And there'd only be like one flight.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: So you reckon she already knows and she's just playing
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: dumb with me?
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:00:58Speaker 14: Cool.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: I think any girl ever would be working it out
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: and they'd just let you have it and pretend that
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: they didn't.
- 1:01:03Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Well, we can all just keep this bruise going.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: Let's just tell her now.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: No, let's not tell her now.
- 1:01:08Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: I won't ruin it.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: Just in case she hasn't looked it up. Hey, tomorrow,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Celebrity Psychic Georgina Walker. You could win a brand new car.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: The Pop Quiz is back with thousands to be won.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: And Gordie's coming in. You could go and see Harry
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: Styles live. Nat, you're here again tomorrow?
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: I am.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: I'll see you in the morning.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Okay, bye-bye.
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: Bye.
