And today we have the got the guys are not the guys are familiar to the show. We got my boys Smooth. Go ahead, Smooth. You know the usual let them know your weapon. Smooth: I'm rubbing the car boys, like you're a do-am-dick. JB: And I got my dog Motown, Detroit. He was there he was there with the temptations. Motown: What up, what up? What up world? You know it's all about Smooth: Ha ha. JB: He he was the temptation that got Motown: it's about the Washington command. JB: put he was that temptation that got put out before what his name was, one who passed away recently. Smooth: the Motown: I'm Smooth: heck? Motown: not even gonna say a name, 'cause y'all be messing with me too much. Smooth: my goodness. There you go. JB: It gon' it gonna come to me. Alright fellas, let's get this started. The barbershop is officially open tonight. I got we're we're missing one guest here hook up he'll pass in he'll jump in later, but I got three guests total to pull up to the shop with me. I got Troy be with us later. So fellas, welcome to the barbershop. And so week two is officially in the books. Man, we got a lot to talk about from the Sank Shock and the Bob the Baltimore Ravens. Caleb Williams and Jaden Don, sorry about that on Eric, Jaden Daniel injury. And Smooth: Hmm. JB: also we're gonna do a little talking about CJ the Houston's gone, Houston's 0-2 and he's having kind of a one of them seasons. We haven't seen the same CJ since I want to see his rookie or first season, I mean second season. And also we're gonna Motown: Who's trout? Smooth: Yes, sir. JB: yes, CJ. And also we're gonna talk a little bit about Motown: This is JB: hmm Motown: I think this is contract seeing this is fifth. He taking he playing he gambling on himself this year. JB: Yeah, that's what I was saying. he last two years I wanna say been counting this year been kinda I know it's still early, he can turn around, but we're gonna get to that. So and also we're gonna talk about a little bit of the Deshaun Watson bouncing back, having a nice game. So Patrick Mahomes too, so let's see what we're gonna be at right now. I'm gonna save that part. Motown: Where is Troy? Yeah, save that one. Save that one. Smooth: haha Thank you. JB: Gotta save it, gotta say that for him. So let's get started, fellas. All right, so I'm sorry, got the road toolies going too. All right. After week two, after two weeks, what's the biggest, what's the biggest surprise? I'm see, what's the biggest thing the NFL taught taught us not to expect? Well sorry, Smooth: Hmm. JB: Fairless Hold on a second. My my thing freezing up. Okay, here we go. NFL taught us that we didn't did not expect in this season so far. Eric, which team to you, which 2-0 team was impressive, impressed you the most and what make you believe isn't that isn't no no fluky or no jeans. Not jeans, but you know, i it's real. Motown: Buffalo is one of I Buffalo is one. Buffalo is Josh Allen is showing me something that we already knew with this team, but I think he's taking to another level. I think he's really gonna try to do it by himself, which he don't have to. But he has that mentality that this is his year. So I I will say Buffalo first. And if I can give a second, JB: Go ahead, you wait, you do it. Motown: two or no team. It would it would be a surprise two or no team, but I'ma leave that for the end too for Troy. I'm gonna stick with Buffalo Smooth: All right. JB: Yeah. Motown: right now, even though he'll be upset about Buffalo too. JB: yeah. That's no that's smooth there. So so smooth. Smooth: Yeah. JB: Smooth I got one for ya. which which winless team concerned you the most right now? Like I know we're only two games in the season, but what which O and two team that was like, damn, I didn't wasn't expecting that. Smooth: Hmm. I see the chart. JB: Agree. I I because Smooth: I expect them to be on Motown: It's man. Smooth: two in the beginning. I'm saying that because the first two teams they played were beatable teams for them. You know what I'm JB: Mm-hmm. Smooth: saying? That's why I say that. But they got a tough stretch coming up. They got a hard schedule, but on two surprise start teams I think you should beat. I give it to them. JB: Right. So on this one I'm gonna y'all need y'all help us. I was I was doing a podcast last night with Charlie and get to see the game, but let's talk about the Monday night game, the Rams beating the Giants twenty eight to six. I'm not sure if y'all saw, but we'll surprise y'all more the Rams how the Rams did it? Or the way the Giants looked that bad after the week before that. You can go in with that key. Smooth: Man, I'm gonna say it was the injury. You know what I mean? Once your quarterback go down, it ain't a fair match. feel me? Confidence go down. JB: I agree. Smooth: You know what saying? So if he was playing, I think you'd have seen a whole different ball game. You understand? Because he way better Motown: Right. Smooth: than Winston. We all know this. You understand? So JB: Right. Smooth: that's what I'm saying. Motown: Think about it. Smooth: Yeah. JB: Put your tall z. Motown: Man, it was a good game. I watched it. And like like Smooth said, the injury that you can you can tell that it it took a little bit out of the team when when Dart got hurt, but at the same time when Winston came in, he wasn't able to do anything and and that might have dropped the morale a little bit lower than what it was after losing the quarterback. But let's not take nothing away from what the Rams did. I knew after the first catch that Dean Devontae Adams JB: Yeah, yeah, you know foreign honors. Motown: caught his first Smooth: Thank Motown: catch. Smooth: you. Motown: And I said to I told EJ, I say, EJ, I say that boy's gonna have three touchdowns tonight. And I say, Stafford might have five. He's looking good. He's like, man, what you talking about? He's an old guy. He's an old guy. He don't know he can't I say, bruh, he can still run routes and he still has speed. And don't forget about the hands. He still got hands. So Devontae Adams, Smooth: Mm-hmm. Boy, how big on the fence. JB: Right. yes. Motown: if Dark was healthy and played, I don't know if they would have won the game. Because of the way that the defense could not stop Adams by himself. He was a one man wrecking show by himself. So I don't know if they would have won the game, but it probably been more competitive. JB: Moky Petter, yeah, I'm about to say. Gotcha. All right. Smooth: Let's go. JB: I know we I know we talked about earlier, but some two and two teams that that that we have. We have Houston, the Washington, Chargers, Tampa, Miami, and the Titans and Colts. Man, so that's some teams I was not expecting to be O and to, be I'll be honest with you on that one. Smooth: Yeah, a lot of them, right? It's hard to take like with the question you had asked me. There's a lot of them you can say surprised. I just thought that, you know, a couple of other teams played some like good, better talent teams that are getting a match like Houston and Houston played Buffalo. You know what saying? That ain't even JB: Right. Smooth: a match. You know what saying? But that why I say the Chargers playing who they play, you know. That's I picked the sergeant. Yeah, it's crazy. I didn't think I was going see that many of the teams that I see that own two. Motown: I'm I'm I'm I'm gonna speak on Washington. I I felt like with the record with the schedule that we had, even though I was excited about the the the players we we got in free agency and drafted, I still felt JB: Mm-hmm. Motown: that we could we could after a five game stretch, which is our our our first five games are hard, that we would probably be either two and three or one and four. Easy. That's where I was ranking us at. So I'm not surprised at our record, but the two and It's hurting because we lost the quarterback. Smooth: Mm-hmm. Motown: You know, and JB: Right. Motown: and Mariota is to me, he's the same version of Jaden Daniels, but just older. JB: We're gonna we're we're gonna get to him. We're gonna get to him. We're gonna get to him. Stop stop jumping ahead of the show. I know you've been doing your homework. We're gonna get to that. Let's let's Smooth: Yeah. Motown: All right, my bad, dawg, my bad. JB: before we get to that boy, let's go to I'm gonna give you out a couple of NFL ratings. You tell me if it's again, I wish I was here too for this one. the ratings they have start with one, of course they got NFL power ranking, I'm gonna say that. Buffalo number one, Seattle number I should have put it up for y'all can see it. Buffalo number one, Seattle, KC, the Nanas, the Vikings, and the Eagles, Cincinnati, Green Bay, Vegas, and the Saints. This is one of the it's not the NFL, but this one I pulled off the thing. It was talking about the one's the barbershop ring. Smooth: Yeah. I probably put the green. JB: So any of those y'all feel like can be can be taken out, or y'all feel like is is a good one. Who who should be in here? Let's see that part. Smooth: Well, I can't remember too much about this, I would say you can keep JB: You see, I've put this Smooth: them in there. But they say the Panthers. No, that's what they play. All right. I see what that is. But. Motown: No, they didn't they didn't he d they didn't have the Panthers in there. Smooth: Yeah, okay, JB: I don't Smooth: I probably had a reader before the really, you know, I'm doing this cramming and something like that because, you know, the Raiders won convincingly and they play some tough team and nobody expect them to be two and you know what I'm saying? So, JB: agree. Smooth: and feeling, you know, like I said, it's two ugly games and struggle. They could either won or lost both of games. One of them games was the Tennessee Titans, which is one of the saddest teams in the league. But we all know, you know, anybody can be beat and to give a slug. JB: Yeah. Smooth: You understand what I'm I mean, was on one that day, but yeah, put, that's what I, the radius will be before the feeling at least. You understand Motown: Right. Smooth: what saying? That's the only reason why. You know I'm saying? Yeah. JB: Gotcha. What you got E? Smooth: I'll do some scramming. Motown: I would I would I would I would take Green Bay out and I would put the Panthers up there. I would put the Panthers there 'cause the Smooth: Yeah. Motown: Panthers have shown me a lot more than what Green Bay has showed me. So I I will I would swap them too. Smooth: Yeah, I agree with that. JB: Gotcha. All right, gotcha. All right, let's see what we got. Smooth: I believe I believe what you want. JB: And it's gonna I didn't get past this one because again, Troy not here. I had a question for him. Smooth: Hmm. JB: One second everybody. All right. Smooth: you JB: Alright. Let's go to the actually I come back to some of the questions doing a Troy get on here. let's talk about the the the upset to me with the Baltimore and the Saints game. Was the Saints was that a statement game for the Saints or did Baltimore just get a game away at the end? of course we all know about the goal line. But what y'all think about it? Still gotta play the game. Smooth: Well, think. 14 play. After Appleball, once he played good one half, other team played good or the half. One team wasn't doing what they would do with the sanctioned first half. You know, and the Ravens stop running. The man who gave them the lead in the second half, he only got two carries, man. Who does that? You know what saying? They only got two carries JB: Right. Smooth: in the second half. Come on, you know who Motown: Great. JB: Right. Smooth: the man that's giving you the lead. You're supposed to feed the man. You know what I'm saying? So it's kind of like an even swap for me because they both played a half each. St. Just came out with a JB: Gotcha. Smooth: better half. know, whoever played better in the second half is going to win the You know what saying? Because that's what the JB: Right. So Smooth: game is about. Second half. JB: Right. Say Eric question for you on Chuck. Smooth: you JB: I'm see on Ty on Tyler. Are we looking at the quarterback who was actually keeping the Saints competitor this season? I mean, I know we talked about it earlier, we need to see some more. I know the in preseason we talked about we need see some more of So for the for the two games he didn't play already, what what do you think so far? Motown: Kind of shit? Hmm. JB: I'm gonna give you his numbers right fast for Sunday. 27 for 34 for 257, 252, one touchdown, Smooth: Thank JB: 23 yards rushing, one rushing, quarterback rating of one seven per four. Smooth: All right. Motown: When we talked last week, that's man, those numbers are superb. Smooth: Yeah. Motown: I mean, they those gotta JB: That's Motown: be some of the best numbers out the whole week. But JB: Yes. Motown: we talked about him last week and I I I said that he showed some toughness. He showed me toughness last week. And JB: High number. Motown: again this week he showed toughness and I'm s I I can't say it yet, but I'm waiting to see him starting to show the leadership of the team. When he starts showing the leadership of the team and they winning the way they win it, because they are JB: Mm-hmm. Motown: winning conventionally. They're not like Scrambling to come back. They they winning the game. He's they're showing you that they can put points on the board. So he showed me some toughness. And I think that a lot of people is underrating their defense. They really are. They are. JB: I agree. Motown: But but but Shuck is a quarterback that I think is gonna be soon in the top fifteen, top ten. Soon. If he keeps playing the way he's playing. And I I'm just saying that 'cause I'm what I see in two weeks. JB: yeah, that's honest opinion on the shoe. Lobby. Man, eight that's another good game. Eight receptions, eight to six yards, one touchdown. And that's somebody that we I don't I don't say we. I don't know what y'all say. I I forgot. I gotta go back and watch the read, but we was we was wondering if he's a number one. And if he can I he's I I think we said if he can stay healthy. Smooth: Yeah, I'm under that. JB: So, but man, he he got the big head on, so pause as they say, but he can keep Smooth: Yeah. JB: doing his thing with that. he's doing his thing this season, man. again. Eight catches. Last week I think he had ten catches. So a boy balling and like like he said also the defense, Saints allowed especially to a Baltimore team, three hundred and twelve yards allowed, they sacked three times one interceptions and held both Baltimore scoreless in the fourth quarter. And and two to put the ice Smooth: All right. Motown: Please. JB: on the cake, Derrick Henry only had sixty eight yards. Smooth: Go get it. JB: I th I thought he Motown: Same. JB: I thought he was gonna about to have a field day. Smooth: Right. Motown: Right. That's what I'm saying. Smooth: Now we got to face them this week. Motown: That they they defense are being underrated, but it's gonna show it's gonna show sooner or later 'cause well you know the first three, four games in a eighteen week season, seventeen games, some people are just not playing their second and third preseason game. So it's gonna be week five before you really start to jail and form cohesiveness as a unit. So JB: Mm-hmm. Motown: just give it give it about two more weeks and you're gonna really see what the teams are and what you're saying about week five, it's gonna be what the teams probably gonna be what they are. That's what they're gonna be. JB: Yeah, I gr I agree with you because I that's what I always wait on. I don't pretty much worry about too much of a beginning of the season. Smooth: Well, yeah, gotta get in the three-peat. JB: I like to see well game five where everybody's gonna be. Cause again, Smooth: everybody in the mix. JB: you might you might be surprised that who one of them teams that's 0-2 might come back and win a good six games in a row, five games in row. So that's Motown: Absolute. Absolute. JB: why I'm with you on that one eat. What you got, Keith? I think you're already on, that's right. Smooth: All right. JB: so how since we're on the Saints, man, how so how how serious of contenders you think they are? Just going by what we've seen so far? Smooth: I think that's pretenders, because mind you, I was talking about this, work to one of guys that work, I was just saying that, man, he's doing this with Olaabe and Tyson, they ain't much playing yet. You didn't say that? ain't JB: Yeah. Smooth: much playing yet. Imagine if Tyson's playing, you ain't gonna be able to blank him out. Olaabe and Johnson is coming about. So they're coming even more elite with, if Motown: Yeah. Smooth: Ty didn't keep doing these things, you he had an off season, know, up and down season last year. I like Johnson. Yeah. I like Johnson. he like a real, speed. Yeah. You know, he, he, yeah, he, he know he had a bad year, so he want to make up, he want to make up for what happened last year. JB: Yeah, I I agree. Right. Now he he played like he right, he he play like he he playing for a contract, he Johnson Motown: But he just he didn't he just get signed? They just signed him though, didn't he? Okay. JB: Yeah, they just sounded yeah, but I'm saying he played like he won another one. That boy he Johnson. Yeah. Smooth: Yeah, yeah, so I think Motown: Me probably do. Smooth: they real contenders, but if they especially if they put it all off or quarters together, man, they'll be it'd be crazy if they can play like the second half JB: I agree. What you got in? Smooth: in the first half. JB: I agree. Stop playing from behind. Motown: I Smooth: Yeah. Motown: I I'm gonna go a little deeper and say I do think they're contenders, but Who who are they going to be playing to give us that final determination of yeah, they are contenders? Because right now it's early. And it looked like they can be contenders. It does look like they can be contenders. I mean, like I said, I've seen toughness out of out of Shook, and then I've seen the defense that's being underrated. Yeah, Smooth: Yeah. Motown: but then it the opponent kind of matters. And they're going to run into somebody, Smooth: Yeah. Motown: they're going to run into somebody soon that's going to be a real problem for is gonna be how they adjust and how they come out of that game. JB: All right. Motown: We thought it was gonna be Baltimore. Smooth: Yeah, but you know what I say, Baltimore JB: Yeah. Smooth: is a good church, but like I said earlier, it's only week two. You know what I'm saying? They got new JB: No. Smooth: coach too. You know what saying? JB: Yeah, I agree with you. I'm with you. shoot Detroit wasn't no pushover either. I know they had a they had another up and down, but that was a true test too. Yeah. Alright. So Smooth: Yeah, they they they just, don't have no call. They don't have no call in the back. That's the only problem with them. You know what saying? Yeah, they ain't got nothing. JB: alright. All right, E now you get a chance to talk to us. All right. William Smooth: Jack. JB: Williams we're gonna we're gonna Williams and Williams suffered a hard stranger. Jill and Smooth: No. Motown: Excellent. JB: I know you don't want this, it might hurt you, but Kurt Williams, he suffered a hamstring injury against Minnesota. And that can go week to week. But Jalen Daniels suffered a dislocated left elbow. So Smooth: Oooooh, look! JB: man, before leaving, disappointment, I know he probably pissed you off, but before leaving, he was 11 for 17, 96 yards on a roll, 69 yards rushing. Smooth: Everybody get more work than JB: I don't know if he would have Smooth: passing yard. JB: Right. I don't know if y'all won a game, but he was he was doing he was doing his thing. So what's your what's your thoughts about let's start with before we get to your boy E. Let's start with Caleb first, man. Motown: I didn't get a chance to see that that injury with Caleb. I just saw him being Smooth: See you Motown: caught off the field. So I don't know but I I'm hearing that it's a hamstring and you know, that can by him being a mobile quarterback, that can that can hinder him a lot of his mobility. JB: Yeah. Motown: So I don't know w how serious his hamstring is. But they're gonna feel it too. The Bears are gonna feel him losing him, sitting down and bringing in b badgent, that's his name. Yeah, they're gonna feel it. JB: Yeah, time's about Motown: But I don't I don't know how long he's gonna be out. That's that's the question. JB: Exactly. What's your thoughts key? Smooth: I seen it and it looked kind of funny. I thought it would have been his foot or his Achilles or something. How he went down, how he took the hit. I didn't think it was his hamstring. You know what saying? Until they JB: Mm-hmm. Smooth: said it. And they rolled him to the back and he couldn't really walk on the hamstring or nothing. They pulled him out like he was out for the season. I thought he was out for the season. JB: Right. Motown: Loty Roy. Troy: Well now? JB: There he is. He is the Troy: Tab. JB: man of the plan. Hey, good comment on. We asked the question was asked we was talking about Jaden Jay and and Caleb injury. What's your thoughts on let's start with Caleb with you on what your what's your thoughts was with the injury? How how would it affect the bears? Troy: Man, if they don't have that real good number two, they done. No matter what the situation is and then with Washington, psh, that's a ride. Smooth: You can't wave at that. JB: Mm-hmm. Hold on, we we we get I let I'll let you go and start that was the next question. What you thought saw Janios injury? Troy: Man, that's that's a ride, man. I'm sorry, E, but that's a ride. Alright, man. JB: So dozzy. Motown: Well, I mean a a lot of people I'm not gonna say a lot of people, but some people have been disagreeing with me saying this and I don't know how well they watch my team like I watch 'cause I watch training camp and all and like I said I said earlier, Mariota is the same style quarterback as Jaden Daniels, just a older version. That's it. Everything is the same the way they play and everything. But Troy: I'ma I'ma interrupt on y let me interrupt you on that. Mariota Smooth: Okay. Troy: haven't been that dude since he came in the league. So we can knock that off right there. Man duh. Say bruh. Listen. JB: Nah, I'm not gonna say that. I'm not I'm not gonna yeah, he he he he he did his backup quarterback thing. I'm gonna say that. He did he did he did that. Motown: Never said he would do. I didn't say he was a dude. All I said was he plays the same as Jaden Daniels, but he's just an older version. That's what I said. I didn't say nothing about him being a dude, and we're gonna win the Super Bowl. I didn't go that far. Okay? I'm just letting you JB: Yeah. Motown: know that I got faith in him, but I don't know if we know I don't think we're gonna make it far. I don't think we're gonna make it far. That was already JB: Right. Motown: in question because of the first five games. We could have been over five. So, you know, But I do think that Daniels, I think they just need to go ahead and rest him for the rest of the year. I mean, JB: Right. Motown: just let it heal up and we try it again next year because he can come back and aggravate it like last season and then he's still out. JB: Right. What you got, Smooth? Smooth: I don't think that's never be well like it's supposed to be. You might want to get one, a special made brain sport. You're gonna play on it. Cause JB: Mm-hmm. Smooth: every time you be at the fall on it, it's gonna do something. You understand what I'm saying? Cause it ain't gonna never heal. You feel me? It ain't. When we fall like Troy: All right, there I go. There I go. Smooth: that, I think, and I actually think the backup that Chicago got, he can win your two games, at least two or three games. He not bad. He was good when he was a rookie. JB: Wait, wait wait, wait, wait, small, wait, wait, wait, before you for you say that, let me say this. Which backup team has a better quarterback chance out of the two quarterbacks? Now you go. That's my next question. Smooth: Chicago, I don't even know your boy's name, but JB: Whereas we Smooth: I know what that looks Who's a T? JB: Well, what you got, George? Which Troy: I I would say I would say I would say Washington but I don't know, Bright. Just Mariota don't give me that. You know, so I I don't know. I can't I can't put it all JB: So he didn't hit you don't think he had his moments? A c a couple of nice passes, one touchdown one I thought was a touchdown, but some nice did a he did a little something. Troy: I don't know. JB: Not a mu not much to win, but he did a little something. Smooth: Mm-hmm. Troy: But I don't know if for them hi for him to carry them the whole season the rest of the season, I don't JB: No, no. Troy: think. No. Smooth: I want one. JB: Yeah. What about what you gotta eat? Troy: Come on, E take you you fit in your heart to all hearts, bro. You understand that too, bro. It's all good. Smooth: He probably wish he had stand by right Motown: I I think Smooth: now. Motown: that I I seen b I seen Badgin play, so Smooth: Yeah, you good. Motown: but I don't I don't know is this the same offensive coordinated with Badgin? Smooth: I don't know, he good girl when he game when he game. Motown: No, I'm just asking the question because JB: Yeah. Motown: you they're gonna have to they're gonna have to adjust the playbook too to him because he's not Caleb Williams. JB: Right, right. Motown: That's what I'm asking. Smooth: What do you mean? Motown: and that goes back to me saying that Jaden Daniels and Mariota play the same style, so you don't really have to change any plays in the playbook. Now, are we going to the Super Bowl? No. But is Marioti Smooth: Maybe it was just my mistake. Motown: gonna make the team look he's not gonna make us look bad. I know that. Now we lose JB: Right. Motown: it's not gonna be all because of Marioti either. Now I Smooth: I'll make him look small. Motown: give us w with Jaden being down, six, maybe six wins. Maybe six. Smooth: 86. Troy: That's a that's a stretch. JB: Yeah. Motown: It is. It is. I agree. JB: Yeah, I'm I had to put my money on those two call back up quarterbacks, I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with Mark Marioty. If I Smooth: Please JB: had to go with that one. Everybody asked that question, I just wanna sure. I think Troy: Yeah. JB: we're all right. All right, this is where we're gonna get a little bit interesting. Easton's is your team. I'm gonna I wanna start this with you. Do it do you feel like Jalen Daniels is on that RG3 that that that road. Cause you know Troy: Yeah. There are JB: RG three came out Smooth: Yeah JB: let me see what I had three thousand six three I mean three thousand five hundred sixty eight yards passing, twenty-five yards touchdowns, and eighty nine yard eight hundred and eighty nine yards rushing. Eight hundred and ninety-one yards. Yeah, you know. Smooth: I know they want to whip JB: Yeah they I don't Smooth: that song, but didn't it. Put a whipping on it. JB: I never forget they bust I never forget they bust the Saints. So what's your thoughts on Eddie? Smooth: Ha ha! JB: Okay. Motown: Des Wait, ask me again, say that again. You 'cause you you kinda change the two questions. JB: I was saying because the I was saying 'cause of the injury with the injuries that keep happening with with Jaden. Motown: All right. Do I think he's a RG three? Smooth: Yeah. Motown: He's in the same mode as RG three. JB: Yeah. Motown: it seems like that. It does, but I'ma say no. I'ma say no because I don't think he's gonna be out like RG three was out. He gone out with injuries, but I think he's still gonna be playing longer than RG three. I mean RG D played on some teams and stuff was on the bench, but no, I think Jason's gonna be more productive as a quarterback than RG did. But it seems like it's going in the same direction. You know, but I don't think so. JB: What about your small? Smooth: It's like a yeah no tricky question because he keep getting hurt. And by him being a little smaller than him, I don't know. I don't think so. think he gonna, I think he kind of just like, just like him. Yeah, I think he just like him on the snake. You feel me? Right. Because I'm, I JB: Right. What you got? Smooth: gotta tell you, if you keep falling on and on, you gonna They getting hurt. JB: Right. Right. And it didn't really look like a I don't know, 'cause we had all this weight going that way, but I was about to say not a even a hard fall, but we never Smooth: Go. JB: know 'cause I wasn't there. What you got, Shore? Troy: Nah, bro, that that was a that that fall was bad. But I think he's gonna be Smooth: When I trip or how I trip, they trip. Troy: RG3 part two. You know what I'm saying? So I don't know, bruh. And then the thing is that offensive line ain't you know ain't what it what it needs to be for him. So Motown: No Troy: man, there you go. There you go. There you go. There you go. Man, stop that. Stop that, bro. Stop it. Motown: No no, we ain't gonna do that. The offensive line playing good. We not doing that. They playing good. I'm I'm telling you they playing Smooth: Thank you. Motown: good. You probably didn't Troy: Stop it. Motown: even watch the whole game. Troy: I did I watched the game. JB: So you think he just watched so you think I was about to say. Motown: You don't look like you watch the game. Hey, watch the highlights. Smooth: They did all right, but Troy: I watched it. Hey man, listen, it don't matter, bro. Smooth: he was taking off when they get in there. So that's what that was about. was taking off before we get to him, take off. there ain't nothing you can do about that. Put a spy on him though. We ain't put no spy on him. JB: Right. Troy: he he done spirit. JB: So I got so Troy, back let's get back to you. So you think do Washington you feel like Washington need to change the way they change the the way they the plays they have for for Daniels? Are you Troy: Yeah, most definitely. Without a doubt. JB: Gary. Troy: It's gonna be all right, E Mak key. Take that smile off your face, bro. Y'all done. Motown: No. Because it w that's why I'm saying Troy didn't watch the game because when Smooth: Ha ha! This is a new book! JB: He wasn't done. Motown: it like you you watched the game, you seen that the man was passing and he's running. He wasn't running and they didn't really have designed runs. He was running when there was nothing there, when the receivers couldn't JB: No, yeah. Motown: get open. He was running and he Troy: Listen. Motown: was looking good running and passing the ball until he got hurt. Troy: Listen, y'all turn. Motown: Because I'm telling you, I thought that Dallas was gonna blow us out when he went up ten nut. We couldn't do nothing. And then we scored and then we was coming back to score again. And we scored and then we come in to score again and we messed up on that plate. But no, I I I felt like we was about to be close to n I ain't saying winning the game, but we was gonna be close in the game because the momentum was swinging and we was right there to score again. So, Smooth: He said, kick the damn field goal. He said, kick the damn field goal. Motown: Troy, you need to lay lay lay off my team, dog. I'm gonna tell you that right now. It wasn't Troy: No, sure ya. Y'all main problem, Motown: an offensive line. It definitely wasn't an offensive Troy: listen, Motown: line. Smooth: Kick the field goal, your quarterback still would have been playing. You got the ball back. Troy: y'all defense, y'all defense, right? Y'all defense sucks. Motown: The defa stepped up Smooth: Yeah. They ain't got no cornerback. Yeah, they Troy: Now y'all deep and giving up points. Smooth: ain't got no cornerback. Motown: They they we went down south after the quarterback got hurt, man. Troy: What was the end of the score? The end of the game. Motown: And and and I'm not even gonna talk about the touchdown that he called back that was a touchdown. I that's a if but i that was a touchdown. Smooth: I really like Corbin's idea. Troy: What with the school? JB: She's a small go ahead, your turn. Motown: We lost. Twenty to thirty seven. We lost. Smooth: They look like it could have been a touchdown. I seen what they was looking at though. Yeah, and they want me to put the knee in, the knee in bow. Motown: The one w talking about Brown? Yeah, Brown was a touchdown. McMurrin wasn't. JB: Yeah. Smooth: The knee in bow, yeah. I probably would JB: Yeah. Smooth: have given it to them though anyway. You feel me? I would have given it to them. Yeah. JB: Right. So smo Motown: We're not crying over spilled milk. Game over. We lost. You know, that's what it is. JB: On to like Jay say, on to the next one. Say Troy: I just feel like a win. JB: before we before we before we leave this topic smooth, and so you think it's I know I just asked y'all about the comparison, so you think it's is it fair is it fair or it's too early to compare them two quarterbacks, RG three and and Daniels? Smooth: I think it's too early. I think it's too early. Let's see what Motown: Yeah, it is. Smooth: happens next. I be doing something like this again. It's true. One more time is true. JB: Gotcha. Troy: And furthermore, he needed to get his waiter. Smooth: He got it up about 10 pounds JB: Say it again, Charler. Motown: He did put some weight up. He did put some weight on this season. Smooth: this year. He got about 10 pounds up this year, 10 feet to him. That ain't enough. Yeah. Yeah, that ain't enough. Troy: No, it don't look like it. It don't look like it. That boy on smallest T. Smooth: They can't hold it, it up. Motown: He put some weight on, bro. He did. He did put some weight on. Okay. Troy: Man, it don't look like it. It Smooth: Yeah, he put a little bit. It JB: Yeah. Troy: don't look like it. Smooth: ain't noticeable like. Yeah. JB: Yeah. He ain't both he ain't broke up, but you can you can see he has some weight there, you can tell. Alright, let's move on to this next quarterback. I'm I knew that's I knew that was gonna be a good one because that's e team. let's talk about CJ Straw. Houston been throwing the ball who's been throwing the football a whole lot. trying to see how we can Yeah. Bruh, that's that's that's why I'm trying to Troy: Terrible. That boy terrible man. Smooth: F JB: say how we can do this, how we can say this. so who do who do we blame? Is it CJ? Troy: Ain't ain't no way you can sugarcoat down. Smooth: I gotta take a sip of it. JB: Exactly. And I'm and I'm pulling for him. is is it CJ or is the play calling? we can start with you, Charge. is C J is he pressing is he pressing because of Houston putting too much on his shoulders and he's playing for that contract here like he said earlier. We b we believe we've Troy: But again, you know what I'm saying? Like you can't you can't be in that, you know what I'm saying, thinking I'm trying to put too much. Man, you you quarterback. So you the the pressure's already on you. So there's no way you can go around that. You know what you was up against. You know what I'm saying? Then you have some good receiver. So what is the problem? You had all offseason to, you know, fix whatever you but he looking like. JB: Right. I don't I don't I don't think he had a his last two seasons been kinda like compared to what we saw him Troy: Yeah. JB: do, man, he he struggled, man. 'cause his rookie yeah Smooth: Mm-hmm went down. Yeah, it's like going down a pyramid Motown: Yeah. Troy: But you know the But you know the crazy JB: Zack. Troy: part is? Smooth: You gotta really think. You gotta really think. JB: Well I feel like my body either yeah. Smooth: You gotta really think. It's hard to cry on Motown: Goodbye. Smooth: one. JB: Right. Troy: But i if you really can see no no quarterback that come from Ohio State really did their thing. None of them. You know what I'm saying? They're really not Smooth: They got somebody just just be like, yes. Troy: known. They're really not known for quarterbacks. Smooth: Yeah, they not. Troy: And and JB: I agree. Troy: I don't know, he he he not he not playing up to his standard. JB: Sanders. What you Smooth: Yeah, I see. JB: got, E? I'm sorry, key go ahead, Small, go ahead. Smooth: Well, I just say, you know, his line not all that good either. They have good run line. But when you're behind, you can't run, you know, and they run the game hopes him out. So if he can't get his running game going and he got to put it on his shoulders, he can't get it done. That's what I'm saying. And another thing, his main receiver can't on the sideline. He can't stay on the sideline. He's still getting hurt too. Nick O'Collins. He's still getting hurt. So they keep JB: Right. Smooth: trying to find him running back, running back, running back. They need to get that line going. They need to get that officer line bumped up or something. I think they need to adjust that officer line. Because if JB: Gotcha. Smooth: he don't have no time, which sometimes he do, they ain't going get it done. With any quarterback, you need time. You know what saying? Go ahead. Motown: You know, exactly. JB: All right. All right. Before I get you, Mr. Put his numbers up for you. in Smooth: Okay. JB: two games he has six hundred twenty seven yards, two touchdowns, zero interceptions. His average passing yard is six point seven. That's almost running backs Smooth: Yeah. JB: the whole two running back. Troy: He ain't do he ain't doing nothing but dumping the ball though. Smooth: Yeah. JB: Alright, so what you got here? Motown: think it's combination. Like what Smooth said, the receivers can't stay healthy. so he's probably don't have too much familiarity with the receivers. I think it is part of the offensive line and the play calling. But alluding to the running backs, I think they have a running back with Dave McGurry, but they can't they can't use him because they behind. They they have they're behind a lot. So Smooth: Yeah. Motown: he's not gonna be on the field because like Smooth said they they passing the ball trying to get back into the game. So I think it's a combination of all I wouldn't put it all on a strode but He he needs to get a little bit better than what he's doing though. He do. He do. JB: I agree. All right, let's Smooth: Yeah. JB: let's move on to to one of the try favorite players. Old school, I mean part of the time Aaron Rodgers. What Troy: Man, that boy gotta go. JB: what what are we what what are we seeing what are we seeing physically? What are we seeing physically from Troy: Man, that boy gotta go. He he need to retire. JB: let me get to the question? What are we seeing physically from Aaron Rodgers right now that's concerning? Troy: That he close to fifty. Smooth: GAH! JB: Mm-hmm. Troy: And he gotta go. Listen, bro. I'm about to tell you, I think it's the coachings, you know what I'm saying? The new coaching, all that gotta play a part. But he looked like crap. You he he he's showing his age. JB: Bye, fellas. See you. Troy: He's showing his age for real, for real though. Smooth: Yeah. Troy: And and DK Matcap, JB: There we go. Nope. Troy: DK Matcap is looking like like like trash too. JB: Damn I got the wrong ones. Metcalf. Motown: Well you but I mean is it not is it he not getting open or is it not the boss not getting there or what is it? Smooth: No, he dropping. Troy: Man, Matt now I'm about to tell you, Matt Calf is not that dude. I I never really was a fan of him. He just big and fast. That's it. Other than that, he not really Smooth: Yeah, I'm not a big fan of that meat. Troy: that he he not that that dude, you know? But he think he is, but Motown: think I think Smooth: He just said. Motown: that he can't he can't you can't you can't really appreciate the player he is because of the system he's in right now. Pittsburgh is a system Troy: Right. Motown: that's not even catering to throwing to him. I mean he's the number Troy: Lesson, bro. Motown: one so if and if Aaron Rodgers have a problem throwing the ball period then Smooth: Okay. Motown: he's gonna have a problem getting the ball. So you're Smooth: It's the line. Motown: not gonna really see how good Troy: When he was in Seattle Motown: he truly is because he when he was Seattle he was good. He didn't just fall off like JB: I agree. Troy: Man, he was Motown: that. Troy: he wasn't that he wasn't that really that dude in in Seattle, bro. He was number two. Smooth: He kind of did his thing last year. Motown: Troy, let me tell you something, bro. You want everybody to be that dude, JB: Yeah, you you tripping on owl. Motown: bruh. Everybody can't be that Troy: Huh? Motown: dude, bruh. Troy: But but but that's what that's what he be he was thinking, like he was that dude when he came in. Jamar Jamar Motown: So tell me who that dude is. Tell me who that dude is. Tell me that. Who is that dude? Troy: Chase. Jamar Chase, Jet, your boy in Seattle, eleven. you got some players that that do, but he's not that dude. Motown: Well he's not on that level. I agree with you on that. I do agree with you. I do agree with you. He's not on that level. Troy: He ain't even much he he not even much a top five. Smooth: He's on that level. He's saying he's not elite. He's good. He's not elite. He's a good player. Troy: But I'm saying though, but when he came in the lead, when he came in the lead, he was thinking like he was gonna be that dude and I'm this I'm but you're not when the the big moments come, you're you you fold. He but he's been doing that in Seattle. You know what I'm saying? And and then when he Smooth: All to do for us when it's light. Troy: when he at, he ain't really doing nothing. He just a big body, bruh. Like Smooth: He dropping Troy: keep it real. Smooth: them. He had JB: So Smooth: two games here. He caught eight. JB: I in last yeah you're right in yesterday, I mean Sunday four four receptions, twenty si twenty si nah he had he had four receptions. Troy: Yeah, none, huh? Hey, life, come on. Motown: So so all the rest of the targets would the targets that he didn't catch was his fault? Smooth: Bye. Not all of them. JB: Well he had nine targets. Yeah, he had nine targets against New England. Smooth: Like two games in a row. Motown: question is, out of the t the the targets that he got, was Smooth: No, not all of that. I say at least. Motown: those the ones he didn't JB: We got. Motown: catch was his fault? Smooth: where they showed three of me drop. I'm just saying, I'm just putting out, they showed three of me drop. He been dropping them lately. JB: Yep. It was yeah Smooth: He been dropping a lot of them. You know what I'm saying? He JB: I agree with that. Smooth: been dropping more than what he supposed to. I'm gonna say that. JB: Right. So Motown: Okay. Okay. Smooth: Yeah, I'm sorry. JB: so with the offense with the offense struggling, like I said Pit Pittsburgh I mean the era Troy: And hold up, hold up. And then he got back with his old head coach. Listen, bruh, that dude been sad since he went to Dallas, bruh. So Smooth: come on. Troy: It that that combination ain't gonna work neither. JB: Thank Hey Char Hey Charlie, thanks for doing that, but Motown: Yeah. JB: I'm I'm gonna say this. Smooth: Haha, she's taking do it. JB: How how much how much of Pittsburgh offense problems going through Michael McCauley? Michael McCauley. Mm Mike McCartney and the offensive system. That's what their offensive coordinator is, right? They deep Smooth: Yeah. JB: they coach, right? Yeah, z Troy: No, that's the head coach. Yeah. JB: yeah, you jumped over, you jumped. I I I just fast forward went back now, nah go ahead. Troy: Okay. That but I don't Smooth: Hahaha! Troy: know man, Mike McCain been ain't been the same since he was in Dallas. When he left Green Bay and went to Dallas, but that was over, bruh. Like he ain't Smooth: Wait, he won 12 games in two years in a row. Troy: But I'm saying no, he not a good coach, bruh. Once he left Green Bay, that was it. That was it for him. You know what I'm saying? Smooth: You gotta have the players. You gotta have the players. Motown: no, Dallas was Dallas is like a whole nother a whole other a whole nother world when you're talking about Dallas with coaches. It's just different. Smooth: You gotta have the players. Motown: I I gotta say that, it's different. It's not like every other nothing other team. It's not especially with the pressure of Jerry Jones Smooth: You gotta, you gotta, gotta write to us. Motown: and then the pressure of everybody saying they're America's team. It's different. It's way different. Smooth: See, when he won the JB: Well, you Smooth: Super Bowl, he JB: yeah, the Smooth: had like four receivers. You know what Motown: The expectation is so high. Smooth: saying? He had a good quarterback. Troy: Listen, when he was in Dallas, did y'all win anything? No. All right, next question. Go on. How Smooth: Is there a way to play out? Is there a way to play out? JB: Yeah. Troy: many times y'all went to the playoffs with him? One? Once or twice? Smooth: You ready? Motown: But say bruh, they done had hundreds of coaches since the last time they won the Super Bowl though. Smooth: More than one. Motown: So you can't do that to McCarthy, bruh. You can't do that to McCarthy, bruh. Troy: I I understand it. That was that was thirty-five years ago. But that Smooth: No. Troy: was thirty five years ago. We still be talking about them going to the Super Bowl. Like, can we just knock that off? Smooth: That's everybody's goal every year. JB: Right. So Troy: But y'all ain't going thirty five years. Smooth: It's all right. When we go, it's gonna be sick. once. JB: So I know we was talking about about Metcalf. Again, four receptions, twenty seven yards. You knew though Troy: That that's that's the thing. Keep on talking about Smooth: Alright, let's that straight. Let's that straight. Let's do that straight. Go ahead, go ahead, Jay. JB: Gonzalez was on that boy and he gave up pretty much nothing for Gonzalez on him. that that b Listen to this fellas. This is running to me. Just for you E, I you asked about some of the the play, here you go. Motown: That wouldn't his fault. Smooth: No. Motown: That all JB: That's difference. Motown: right. That wasn't his fault. Smooth: bad thing. Thank you. Motown: I'm talking about where the ball being placed. Is he supposed to catch the ball? It's like JB: And some and you see some of those he's waiting on the ball too. Yeah, you know Smooth: He missed it. JB: So I know I Troy: Yeah. JB: know you asked about it, so that's pretty much what he was doing. But again, Gonzalez put a Troy: Amen. JB: bit of number one corner back in the lead, so he he he did his Smooth: Yeah, me. JB: he did his thing. Yeah, he Motown: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. JB: is. You're right. So Smooth: Yeah. JB: are we all we all agree that Aaron Rodgers is on fall as a time or borrow time on in the NFL, so you th you think Real real quick everybody go around the s go around the table. So you think this is the ever lodges last year? Let's go what you mean. That was last year. Troy: Yeah, he already claimed he already said that it was his last ship, but he needs to go now. He need to go down. He Motown: Yes. Smooth: Yeah Motown: Yes. Smooth: That's it, that's it. Yeah, you need to do it earlier every time, you know? Troy: needs to go now. Not not later, but now. Yeah, he JB: Right. Troy: just needs to be like, you know what? I give up. Motown: What? JB: Mm-hmm. Troy: Listen, it's time for him to go. He's really showing his age. Like Tom Tom did it, you know what I'm saying, in his forties. But he he looked bad. But again, Motown: Different person. Way different person. Smooth: Yeah. JB: Yeah. Troy: but listen, but again, dog. Aaron, and you know that's my guy, but Aaron looked terrible. Smooth: Alright. Motown: So so go ahead and say it. Go ahead and say it. Aaron Rodgers is not that Troy: He not that dude right now. He Smooth: ass. Troy: ain't been that dude since he went to Motown: Ha ha ha. Troy: the till he went to the jets, bruh. Since he been to the jets, he ain't been that dude. You know, that that's just my opinion. And you know, and I love I love A Rob, bruh, but he ain't been that dude since he left Green Bay. Smooth: He dumps the truck juice. He dumps JB: What you what you got, Smith? Smooth: the truck juice. He dumps the truck juice. He's over for him. Hear him? He's over for him. JB: Let's get to the the number one let's get to the number one quarterback that's in Cleveland. Motown: Mm. JB: the number one quarterback. Ooh, and I know Char agree with this. Smooth: That's it, boy. Troy: He ain't play he played well. Nah he played well. Hey, Motown: here we JB: So Motown: go. Troy: he he did his thing, yo? JB: so s so we Smooth: He's a boy right there. JB: I I know we so I know we talked about it last week that I know some agree that Motown: Baby. Smooth: I'm JB: I know some agree like he needs to be taken out now Motown: Ha ha ha JB: and we kept saying got a long season ahead of us. So Eric, start with you. Are we seeing Watson settle into the offense or just one good game? Motown: No, we we're seeing him settle in. We're gonna see the whole NFL starting to settle in. He's settling in because a lot of the players that he's playing with on the field, he practiced with. So JB: Mm-hmm. Motown: he's settling in. What a lot of people forget though, Washington is a good quarterback. He just never played since he left Houston. He hadn't played. He's a good quarterback. He's accurate, he's smart, he's intelligent. He he just hadn't played. And that's where a lot of people is pissed off because he hasn't played and they forgetting about that he can play. So it's just JB: Okay. Right. And Motown: it's just a leveling off right now. It's a leveling off. Smooth: Thank you. JB: Right, and against against against a a team that a lot of people thought was gonna win the still early though, the division, the Bucks twenty four for thirty, two hundred and thirty eight yards, two touchdowns, zero interception, twenty two yards and a pass rate of one twenty one per nine. Smooth: like, like, Motown: Get it so. What you gotta say, T Roy? Troy: Now he again, I say, you know, I'm saying give him five games, we gonna see. But you know, I'm still on roll with my boy too. JB: Yeah, y'all gonna both be rolling on that on that sideline holding that clipboard. Troy: It don't Smooth: Yeah. Troy: matter. It don't matter. That's what I'm going with. Hey, we we gotta work, you know what I'm saying? Week week six. Let's wait until Smooth: Yeah. I want to see. But I mean, you got to let them you got to let them figure out. Motown: So he didn't have one good game and he had one bad game, so Troy: six. JB: But one at one at time, wait, Troy. What did you say? Troy: Say wait till week six. You know what I'm saying? That's when we're gonna see. JB: Yeah, he gonna really be a veteran that holding that board by week six. Ain't nobody gonna be able to tell that boy nothing. Smooth: my goodness. JB: So let's Troy: What we gonna see? JB: see what he got. smooth, so what does Watson have to show you over the next few weeks before you believe this is this is this is him? Smooth: win. Point blank is JB: That's bottom line. Smooth: simple. Bottom line, you got to win. Playing is simple, dog. I mean, JB: Right. Smooth: that's what the game is about. You got to win. I mean, Motown: Exactly. Smooth: I don't give a damn. You pass for 100 yards. You know what saying? You got to win the game. got to, you know, his JB: Exactly. Smooth: problem is, you know, I think he trying to gain his confidence back and so much. Because Tracy was dumping it all. Now you see him, starting to get me get the goals and furthermore every game see like he's starting to get more if he keep getting comfortable with Motown: This one is Smooth: his arm and not scared to throw it he'll be alright because at first it seem like he don't want to make mistakes and that caused him to JB: Right. Smooth: make mistakes you feel what I'm saying you can tell you can tell you can tell what my mother trying not trying to make a play I mean make a mistake Troy: But listen, this is the thing. I got a question. Ain't nothing he injured his arm, right? Smooth: No, I so. Motown: What's it? Troy: Watson. It wasn't an arm injury, right? Okay. Smooth: Did he ever answer this? I think he heard his hand before. That's it. Motown: No, that's what I think it's always been his knees and his ankles, Troy: again, but he talking about he gotta get confidence in his arm. your arm ain't the problem. Smooth: No, not, not, not, not, I don't mean, no, I don't mean like, yeah, but look. JB: Hey man, you you you tried being out for two what two and two ye two years? And you tried being out for that long two and a half years and try to Troy: But again But again. Motown: Half. Two and a half. JB: come back on the this not this not flagball or that pitch up tackle what Troy: But again, but again he been he been throwing the ball. You know what I'm saying? He been throwing the ball to like the last two. But I'm saying. But I'm saying Smooth: It's different. It's different. JB: But he haven't had game time. But have he he haven't had game time? That's a difference, man. I told you that's like seven all seven. Smooth: with the devil. With the devil, Troy: he but he he's still throwing the ball. He's able to be accurate and throw the ball. Come on, man. Come on, man. Come on, boy. No, I'm just saying, I'm saying he's able to Smooth: The alarm goes off. Next. JB: Man, it's not the same. It's not the same. That's it like that's that's seven that's if nobody coming at you trying to tryna tackle you, you're gonna look you can look good. Man, speed Motown: No drawing. Smooth: Look, say Jake, misunderstood. Troy: To screw the ball. JB: NFL speed is different, man. So Smooth: Say Jake, he misunderstood what Motown: Way different. Troy: He's able to throw the ball. Smooth: I meant by his arm. I didn't mean by his arm hurting. I JB: Let's see let's see you go Smooth: meant by throwing it long because he don't want to throw in the set. That's the confidence I meant by. Not his own burden. you throw a problem, most JB: Yeah, 'cause you Smooth: quarterbacks when they throw down the field, they don't want to throw in the set, so they throw it short. You dig what I'm saying? He meant throwing it short a lot. Motown: Let's not let's not dismiss that he has a lot of pressure on him too. He got a lot of pressure because, you know, a lot of people want him to fail because they want Shadurian. JB: I was just about to say that's that's Smooth: Yeah, yeah, but he not a creak, but he not, he not a spin the play though. Motown: And then a lot of people are mad because he didn't feel like feel like he robbed the team with the money he haven't played, but they still forgetting the dude can still play. That's it. He can still play. And he can run. He can run too. Smooth: Yeah, he complete. He just trying to get back in rhythm like he JB: Right. Troy: Just Smooth: should be. Troy: g I just need him to do what he gotta do, bruh. You know what I'm saying? To win some games. That's all. You know. Smooth: Okay, you gotta get out of Motown: Well, he won and one right now. Week week three coming up. And he beat a he JB: Right. Motown: beat a good opponent. Tampa Bay was a good opponent. Everybody a lot of people lost money on that game, believe me. JB: Yeah. Right. So let's move on to one of Keat's favorite players. Justin Herbert. Is he becoming the NFL if man? If he had a better coach? Keith said last time. If he had weapons, if he had a what do you else they have? if everybody stay healthy. what else you call him Keith, Mr. If Man So Smooth: If you can get a win in the playoffs, he ain't winning the playoffs yet. You understand? He's Mr. F-Man. But he always JB: Right. Smooth: in top 10 rankings every year. Every year. JB: Right. So for it so his record is like we talked earlier, Chargers are and two on the surprise team. I you wasn't here, True. We said we named the surprise teams, but it was and two in last week, man. He was damn fifteen for twenty-seven, one ninety-two, one touchdown, twenty-sept street sacks, five point nine passing rate. And so it's I guess the question should be Is Michael McDaniels and Jim Harbaugh in the right situation? That's not what you eat. Motown: Yeah, that that's that's a great question because I'm about to say, my expectations when I thought McDaniel going to the Chargers, it was like, wow. He already he has a real quarterback over there. So he's gonna be able Smooth: Good. Motown: to, you know, call some good plays and get some good get some good plays in the game. But I guess I need to ask myself, is McDaniel's a good offensive coordinator or is he a quarterback whisperer? 'Cause you know, there's a difference. And JB: True. Motown: Herbert is a great quarterback to have a a great offensive coordinator. I don't even think that Herbert needs a quarterback whisperer, to be honest with you. He's one of them quarterbacks. I think if you put him on the field with the right plays and protection, he can make it happen. So I I I think it's Troy: So you think he'll gr great quarterback? Motown: just a I think it's it's time with them too. I think it's time with them too. JB: Gotcha. What you got, Troy? Troy: You think he's a great quarterback? Motown: Among the quarterbacks in the league today? Yeah. Yes I do. With the quarterbacks in the class of the thirty two quarterbacks from the thirty two teams, yes, I think he's a great quarterback out of all those quarterbacks. Yeah, I do. Yes. Troy: think he's I think he's all right. I don't think great. I don't see great. Motown: I'm talking about this season with the quarterbacks that's on the starting the starting quarterbacks in the two two thousand twenty six season. I can say he's a great quarterback compared to the whole class of this year. Okay, well Troy: I don't s I I I I see good. I see good. I don't see great. Motown: that's what you say. I I see great cause he he got the numbers to show that he's great. He just ain't pulling it through. Troy: Man, you you're a Washington fan. Of course you gonna see that. You you think everybody's great. Come on, man. Like come on, bruh. You man, that dude is not great, bruh. I'm just Motown: No, I do not. No, I do not. Smooth: He said, everybody great? He said, is everybody great? He said, is JB: What's your What you got, Smallon? Smooth: it only the people you played with when you was a little child, you played for Washington? That's all. what JB: Ha ha ha. Smooth: was that question again? I got caught up in that moment. I got caught JB: do you Smooth: up in that moment. Motown: through Sosper and ask the question, man. Smooth: shit. JB: is it is it Jim Harbar and Mike McDani Mike McDani Daniels putting them in putt in the right s situation? Smooth: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He in the situation. But again, he only got one receiver. You understand? Johnston, up and down. Johnston Troy: Who is his receiver? Smooth: is up and down. Harris, I don't know what's up with him. they ain't throwing him the ball. They got McConkey. He getting banged up right now. I don't remember who the other one. I don't know what the other guy is. But I know they got two tight ends. You dig JB: Yeah. Motown: There you go. Smooth: what I'm saying? when McDaniel Motown: Well one got hurt and Joku got hurt. Smooth: was there, he had Tyree Hill and A-Chang. You dig what I'm saying? That's a hell of a combination right there. They got no A-Chang and JB: Right. Smooth: all that over there. You really got to dial up some shit to win for games in this one. They say, you come over here, boy, you got to play ball. You know what saying? It ain't that bullshit over there. You ain't just got to beat Buffalo. no, you gotta beat all of them. Raiders, everybody. You gotta beat all of them. You know what saying? Them dogs over there. JB: Right. So all right. Let's move on to a surprise team. the the the Raiders. Two and Is it surprise or just the Raiders? The Raiders. You know they they know they have a good game here and there. So are we looking at a I know it's earlier legitimate a little a legitimate team or is two games still not enough time to Michael not enough time to to to say Smooth: Get there. JB: what's what the Raiders gonna do. Smooth: Yeah, well, I say it's a surprise, but also, it looked kind of real to me. The officer line holds up now. know, Kirk Cunning, he gonna get you like half a season, half a season, and then he gonna cut off at some point. We just don't know when he gonna cut off, you feel me? But right now, he gonna be doing good in the beginning, see, he catch you while you're fresh. You know what I'm saying? But when that season get the warming up, He gonna be throwing that bitch all over the place. And again, who is his receiver? He got a short, but who has put first receiver? He got Benson, who he got to JB: Mm-hmm. Smooth: show himself. You got the Motown: Yeah. Smooth: white boy Bet. He got Thornton, he's fast, but there ain't no no host of names to be scared of. You know what saying? So all he got in bright bond was that and he hurt and he still Motown: Okay. Smooth: winning though. But We're gonna see what JB: All right. Smooth: he doing at the same. And I asked him if JB: Right. Smooth: he played good in the second half, he'll win the game. JB: What you got, Troy? Smooth: I believe in Troy: well I I'm I'm with smooth, you know. Time will tell. Smooth: Mm-hmm. JB: What about you E? Motown: I think I think Kirk Cousins is pretty good and he's a good situation. I think he's in good situation. And I kinda agree with Smooth when he said like somewhere along the line, Kirk Cousins is gonna fizzle, but they're in a great situation because they have an intelligent quarterback Smooth: Yeah, yeah, you don't know when it's gonna happen. Motown: that's ready to play. And if he's really learning behind Kirk Cousins, they're gonna be better than than with Kirk Cousins when he gets in. I I think that I I'm not gonna say a legitimate, Smooth: And that was fine. Motown: but early. They're an early contender right now. Smooth: Another thing, they got that boy Kubiak. Kubiak, Kubiak is a boy, Motown: They early content. Don't forget about that boy Genty. Smooth: huh? They got Kubiak, right? That's what they got? That's why. Motown: Clint Kubia, yeah. Mm-hmm. Smooth: That's why. That's why. That's why he look good. That's why he look good. Think about it. He ain't JB: Former coach. Smooth: got no real number one receiver. He got number one tight end. But he, he, he some kind of way, he making it work. You JB: Okay. Smooth: know what I'm saying? Nobody else who had him couldn't make it work. You know what saying? Making it work. JB: Right. Smooth: He make it doesn't look good. JB: Alright. Right. Yeah. I I need to see some more, but Cousins man to me man, cousins. He he he always goes somewhere and do his thing and then return to who who cousin this is. Smooth: Bye. JB: we so next question I got for you, Kansas City game. Kansas City Chiefs. Did Patrick Gohan just remind the whole NFL I'm still him? Motown: He's back. Smooth: Yeah. Yeah, he looked for a real. JB: Eu Motown: He he's back. Did you see did JB: te gari. Smooth: You're not familiar. Motown: you see the game? Because he had a brace on his leg. And that brace on his leg was so big. Man, I thought he had a robot leg. It was so big. But he Troy: That was the first game. Smooth: Then go, go. Motown: took it off. No, he that was the last game. He took it off. He took it off so fast some people didn't even recognize it. That was the second game. That was the second game. Troy: It was a it's a different it's a different it was the different it's a different knee brace that he have on. Smooth: Yeah. Troy: It's a it's it's lighter. It's lighter, it's lighter, it's lighter than you know I'm saying what they normally would have. Motown: whatever it was, it was big and he took it off. Smooth: You were saying that from Marriott, Lee? You Motown: All right, but listen, JB: Yeah. Motown: whatever he had on, it was big and he took it off. And but Smooth: hear me? You were saying that from Marriott. Motown: it I'm not saying that affected the game for him, but he's back. Yeah, he's legitimate. He he's really back. And now, Smooth: Do instead. Motown: like you said, you didn't say this two times, Jay, you said they gave that boy a running back now. They let him get a real running back now. So he don't really have to do so much. Smooth: Hehehehehe Troy: Say, bro. And and that and that take and that takes a lot of pressure off JB: So Troy: him. Smooth: He got two running backs. He got two well. Motown: Yeah, he d and and that's gonna that's gonna JB: Hey. Motown: the the play action. JB: Say Trey. Wait, wait, say Troy, you said take a lot of pressure off him. He had three hundred and eighty two yards. No, no, I'm saying that's imagine that's the no Troy: No, no, but I'm just saying he ain't gotta be the main focus though. Smooth: Go home. JB: no I'm that's what I'm saying. That's some great pressure. Man, that's some great that's some Smooth: without power, without power, without power. You hear me Jay? Without power. JB: that's the pressure I wouldn't mind having but Troy: But Motown: Don't Troy: that that take a Motown: forget, don't forget, he's running the ball. Smooth: Yeah, JB: Yeah. Smooth: what are trying? Troy: No, but I'm just saying JB: Safi. Troy: it takes it takes what he ain't gotta be the main fo he can always just turn around and get that thing off 'cause man, Walker was say, bruh, that dude Smooth: you know what? Troy: gonna run the ball, bruh. JB: Yeah, but that I think he has one move one was it one play he did where they almost had him, he spent out and went the way. Man, but that I didn't Troy: Yeah, that too. Smooth: community. JB: I like I said, this this is the first year I really gotta check. I watched him a little bit in the Super Bowl, but to see the vision, 'cause he he it's like he had that plan. As soon as he hit that spent off Motown: Yes, yes, yes, yes. But no, he has patience too because he don't a lot of running backs just hit the hole, he then he hit it. And I'm like, he really got patience before he hit that hole. He not running straight into somebody. Troy: But hey, but but y'all saw Smooth: That's why he was MVP of the Super Bowl. Troy: you saw how Jonathan Taylor was doing that though? He was doing that too in the whole during the game. And that boy just take his time and boom and hit that thing, Brucey bruh. Them both of them boys are dog. Smooth: Yeah, you gotta be patient, man. You gotta be patient, And hit that O. Yeah? Motown: Yeah, yeah. I mean did he he I'm not saying he's not hitting a hole, he knows not a hole yet. You see what I'm saying? He knows not a hole yet. That's that Troy: yeah. JB: Right, right, right. Yeah. Motown: comes with the vision, which you said. He knows not a hole yet. But then when he sees it, he hidden it. JB: Right. Right. So let's move on to this is one of this should be a good one for Smooth. So let's move on to this. You think the the Cowboys victory was more of a a win for the Cowboys and Dak or just it's the air was taken out of the Washington Redskins when Daniels got hurt? Smooth: I say both of them. I mean, because when your top dog go down, like I say, your morale go down. You're like, man, it's over, man. I don't know, man. You know, because you want to play with your dog. of course, in the second half, that made a big difference, of course, you know. But you still got to go out there and play ball. JB: Right. Smooth: And you can't take Mariota for no joke. Mariota will get you. If you play around Mariota. you get you so it's deal with the convincing win. Yeah, go ahead. Go JB: Hold on. Hold on, what's Char smiling? What's so Char, what you think? Smooth: ahead. Troy: It's it's I'm talking about you know, he talking about Mario and I just I just don't see it, yo. I just Smooth: I mean, he wants to gain his form already before, you know what saying? That's I say that. Troy: but that's again, JB: Right. Troy: but he he ain't he ain't that. Like I Smooth: But I'm saying if you sleep on him, if Motown: He ain't that dude. Smooth: you sleep on him, he'll Motown: Say it. Well say it. Smooth: get you. If you sleep on him, Marriott will get JB: As I agree. Smooth: you, bruh. He'll run that bitch on you. He'll run that bitch down your throat. Uh-oh. Motown: Listen, bruh. Mariota numbers were the same as Jaden Daniels. 11 out of 17, 116 yards, and one touchdown pass. That's what he had, and that's the same thing Daniels had. Same thing, JB: Right. Motown: bruh. Same numbers. It's just that Daniels got hurt and he was running well with the ball. Smooth: Yeah. He's got a arm and he can see the field better. Motown: He was running well with the ball. But I'm not gonna say that Smooth: Yeah, and then you can see the full belly. JB: Right. Motown: we would have won that game. I'm not gonna say we would have won a game, but I know it would have been way more competitive and closer. Smooth: Yeah, it's been like a seven JB: Yeah I Smooth: point game, a field goal game. If Daniel would have done Motown: It might not yeah, yeah, right. Smooth: that. Motown: Mm-hmm. JB: Yeah, I I I agree. So Dak had a chance or Dak broke the Dak broke the Cowboys all time touchdown. So Troy, so you ready to you really consider Dak one of the greatest cowboy quarterbacks? Troy: La Smooth: It's a cowboy part of the background. JB: So Smooth: Yeah, hands in the lead, hands in the lead. Troy: He he he he ain't better than Troy, man. Smooth: better than just cause you got the suit balls. Try it. Troy: hey hey a and we not talking about we're not talking about a Super Bowl. I don't think he's better than fucking Troy. That's what I've just said. Smooth: What's the matter? Because ain't no cowboy quarterback got MVP or nominated. But that, that guy nominated for MVP. Now see, the man asking you about the quarterback, you going way off over here. You Troy: Man, listen, again. Okay, he did all that and then what'd he do? When when he come to the playoffs, he he just a a slight better version than Randall. Come on. again. Again. Again. Smooth: going way over JB: Yeah, I was Smooth: here. Green Bay shit it, but you going way over here. Troy: I I green base not my team. So what are we talking about? Motown: Here we go. Here we go. Smooth: You say green bed with your teeth. JB: I I had to say the best for last. Troy: Aga Motown: Here we Smooth: You keep kissing up. The first snow, you said you had no teeth. Motown: go. Troy: again. Again. You talking about he the JB: So Troy: greatest. He the greatest cowboy. No. What what what Smooth: It's a of bag man. Troy: really what he really done? He's not How many times you went to the playoffs? JB: But yeah, but yeah, five touchdowns, Roy. Smooth: You know what saying. You know I'm saying. Troy: Okay. How many times you went to the playoffs? How many times you went to the playoffs? Smooth: What's going on Troy: Huh? He got kicked Motown: Here we go. Here we go. Troy: out he got kicked out of the Wiron. The first one? The Smooth: You guys done, bruh? Troy: second one? Did he did he go to JB: You want to look. Troy: the Super Bowl? No. know what I'm saying? Did he Smooth: He went to this deck around him. Troy: go into the NFC Championship? No. So why why he's the greatest cowboy quarterback? Come on, man. Make make that make sense. JB: Okay. Can my Motown: You make it some points there. JB: shares share a shop on this? Smooth: Say, dog, wait, number 10 as it is. You need a whole team to win the Super Bowl, dog. You need JB: That's how Shannon. Smooth: a defense and offense and a running back. Look at me, dog. It ain't because your quarterback won the Super Bowl. Your quarterback don't win the Super Bowl by himself, dog. Troy: Say bro again. But your quarterback, your qu again. Aga again. Motown: Did Edgey. JB: Hello. Smooth: What football game you watch? Troy: Your quarterback is supposed to be that y'all y'all wanna put your everything on deck. Dak the man, Dak the man, Dak the man, right? But Dak when Smooth: What football game you watch? What quarterback, not a Super Bowl by themselves? JB: So Troy: it comes down to it, Dak don't do shit. So hey, what are we talking about? He ain't lead you to no JB: So question for you, Charles. So if if if Dak has Smooth: with a wand. JB: another MVP MVP season and the Cowboys get to the second Smooth: See ya later. JB: round Troy: And Louis, he ain't JB: I'm Troy: he ain't shit. JB: so you gonna it's gonna be saying you're saying it's gonna be like empty calories, it don't mean nothing. He he gonna still be under Troy. Troy: Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. He been in the JB: Yeah. Troy: league hot that long. Jay Jalen Hurst came in, did what he did, been Smooth: Stay back. Eat your eat dank like LeBron. Troy: to the Super Bowl two time, and Dak still ain't been there yet. So come on man, how he that do? How he that do? How he that dude? Smooth: He treat that like LeBron James. He treat that like LeBron James. JB: So Troy: He been in the league. He been to the league, what, seven times, whatever, how many times he how many times he'd been to the Super Bowl, Jalen Hurst came Smooth: So he's saying he ain't gonna go to the heart of praying? Troy: in there, did what he did, but he ain't win. Come on, man, stop that. Smooth: You ain't gonna go to all the fans? JB: So do we so do Troy: What? JB: we do we blame do we blame Dak for those playoffs win losses or Troy: You playing the whole team, but that part of it. Motown: Well. Smooth: Using that as my quest. Troy: Dak part of it? Dak is part Smooth: You need a whole team. Thank you. Troy: that first of all, Dak is supposed to be the man, the quarterback. Your your million dollar man. But Motown: eight million dollars a year. Troy: you know what I'm saying? But what it what has you done for me lately? Can we get to the bowl? Can we get to the bowl? Smooth: Every quarterback makes their money. Every quarterback makes their money. Every quarterback gets the most money on the Motown: You it Troy? Smooth: field. Troy: Can you give me to the bowl? Smooth: Yeah. Troy: No, he can't. Smooth: Yeah. Troy: He can't give me to he can't give me out the second round. So come on man, huh? Smooth: You gotta give them a team, dawg. You can't just give them my JB: Yeah. Smooth: office. They just give them my office, dawg. What you want them to do? What you want them to do, dawg? Troy: Man come on man Come on, bruh Come on, bruh. Smooth: What you mean come on? I know you did those in the reds. right, you did those. No, Troy: Hey, again, how we always say them cowboys fans. Them cowboys fans always think. Smooth: we tell you the real. You need a whole team, man. Troy: Ain't no real. Dak's supposed how much money he getting eat? Smooth: Because you're sick with malaria. Motown: Sixty miljon a year. Troy: Okay. But guess what? It that sixty mil, that port will be on your back. You pulled a carry the team. And you ain't carrying to the to the nothing. But the second round. Smooth: Okay, okay, so that means you gotta go on defense, it's like the quarterback too, right? All right, that makes sense, that make a lot of sense. You right, you right, you right. Play defense, Dak, play defense, Dak, play defense, Dak. Troy: You ain't carrying nowhere. You not care but I'm saying though you supposed to be the one. You supposed to be that dude. You probably be that dude, right? But you're not doing any you're not JB: So Troy: outscoring the opponent. JB: So this year, do the do that I'm gonna say the Cowboys offense do we have they didn't have an excuse last year, but I know it's a defense. How the offense moving, no is so you're saying Detroit no excuse this year. They supposed to have a Troy: No excuses. Smooth: You're the funny guy. JB: All right. What you what you think? What you think about I know we talked I know the E what you think about Dak being the the greatest cow cowboy quarterback ever? Jesus said paid. He said paid. He said man. White flag. Motown: You'd agree with Bay. Yeah, I mean Troy: Thank you E. Well see. Well s well said. Well said. Smooth: He not the top pick of all the men anymore, Motown: Keeping it real, he the greatest pain. Troy: Wells. JB: That was a that was a good one. That was a good one. Troy: Well see. Smooth: That's Trumbo. JB: he said paid. I wasn't expecting that one. He been bright, Smooth: That's awesome. Troy: Well said. JB: he'd been ready. He said he was ready. Smooth: What? Troy: Well see. JB: He sent him back with them guns, we found him good. Smooth: Well, he read it, he read it, we 14 to 2 against them. They're quarterback better than that. Motown: Yeah, G here we go. See what I'm saying? We're all off track. You just told Troy about getting off track, you all off track now. We're talking about the greatest quarterback. Troy: There you go. Hey, listen. They gon' always he gon' JB: Yeah. Smooth: I ain't no track. That Troy: Well listen, when you when you go against a Dallas Cowboy fan, that's how they gon that's how they defend them. Smooth: man asked you a question. You talking about his money. You went all track. Y'all talking about JB: Swap. Smooth: his money. Y'all went all track. He asked y'all about quarterback. Y'all the ones went all track. Motown: Well, I mean, if you Troy: Why why money supposed to come up? Money supposed to come out. Motown: think about it, he's getting paid sixty million dollars to win the Super Bowl, not to win games. Okay? That's why you're getting that money. Smooth: So, every fall is back, paid, JB: So pr so pretty much he was saying he unachieving. Unachieving. Motown: Very much under Troy: Yes. Motown: look, and what's so sad Smooth: Okay. Motown: about it for real, is that he's been sixty million and nobody's gotten to that number yet in like about four years, three, four years, he didn't got sixty million. It's like n the person that might get to it is Smooth: Man, he's like a high-paid now. What you talking about? Somebody else got the money. Somebody else just got it. Somebody else, Motown: Who else can pay sixty million a year? Smooth: whoever just got a contract this year. They got more than that. Look it up. Do your homework. Do your homework. Do your homework. Motown: Who? They probably got more than a number, but not per season. No, nobody getting more than 60 million. 60 million? Who? JB: Motor. I'm Troy: But listen. JB: gonna get them stairs where try. Motown: Lamar Jackson might get it. Lamar Jackson might get it. Troy: But listen, the whole thing is he getting paid sixty, ain't been to ain't been to an NFC championship yet. He it don't Motown: He's under cheating. He's under cheating. Smooth: Y'all in that man's pocket, y'all in that man's pocket, get out of that man's pocket. Pocket watching. Let that man get his money. He put his body on the line. Sick, bro. He put his body on the line. You deserve to get paid. No, he not. The team, the team is, the team is, Motown: Okay, well forget about the sixty million. He's still underachieving. To say that that's America's team, he's underachieving, smooth. He's underachieving on America's team, bruh. Troy: But he ain't been to an NFC championship yet. JB: So so let's do this. Let's all right. Smooth: the team is. Not just him, it's the team. What you talking about? Man, we have four deep in the coordinator. What they trying to do? Motown: Well the question is about the quarterback, man. JB: So so let's let's well let's do this. Let's do this. Let's take away Troy Aikman's Super Bowl ring. I know Troy say he the he he the greatest cow cowboy quarterback. Take that away. So Troy, we take away the Super Bowl wing. Smooth: He was doing it dead and nuts. JB: Is is is that well where you ranked back at? We just gone off a quarterback play and two. Troy: Two. Two. JB: You gotta who you know one, Romo or Troy? You said Troy, you said Troy. Troy: man, hell. No, my bad, my bad, Smooth: Ha ha! Troy: he he too B. Cause him and Romo is the same. He he just he got he got he alright hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. JB: That's why I said not Motown: Well, I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm gonna say this. And Troy you're not old enough, but you you can't be JB: Hello, yeah, yeah. Hold on, you let him get it out, let him get it out. Troy: Hold up. So you got so you I got Troy, you got Romo, and then you got Dak. One A one B. JB: All go ahead and Troy: my bad. My bad. I'll put I'll put I'll put that then on me. Dag then on me. Motown: No, because JB: You put Daggy. Motown: because yep stop that's what I'm about to say. Y'all forgetting about Roger Starbuck. Starbuck JB: Yeah, it Motown: i it and and Romo doesn't compare to him and neither does Dak. Neither does Dak. Smooth: He wasn't alive. He wasn't alive then. He wasn't alive then. He built Starbucks down the street from me. JB: So so you so E you saying s for for you, Starbucks be number what, two or three? You said down the street. Smooth: Hehehehehe Motown: Ship me number two. He'll be number two. It'll be Troy. It'll be Starbuck. I'm not gonna say Danny White. It'll be Romo. Troy: Mm. JB: Yeah, don't do that. Smooth: Danny White was good. went to... Danny White was good. Motown: For for Romo, man, for me with Romo, I just don't I can't put him up there because they put him on a pedestal so high and he never achieved it. And it I'm not gonna say it's his fault, but they just put him on a pedestal that was so high. Romo, Romo, Romo, but he never did anything. And I'm like, why y'all keep talking about if he ain't did anything? So I would Dak is definitely above Romo. Dak is definitely above Romo. Ain't no A B, you know, he's above he's above Romo. JB: Yeah. Go ahead, smooth as all yours. Finish it off. Smooth: man they all know that best cowboys quarterback man yeah you do yeah Motown: Y'all don't know nothing. Y'all don't know nothing. Smooth: you do yeah you do you understand he got that he got the running ability Motown: Can I take me a break? Smooth: his running ability is better than all his running ability is better than all the quarterbacks JB: Go ahead, go ahead. Smooth: so that's what shut it up right there you hear me His JB: Yeah. Smooth: running ability is better than on the quarterback. So he can do both. He can pass and he can run. So that make him better right there. And he's putting up the numbers. Point blank, period. He's a winning quarterback in JB: So So smooth you think you take Smooth: entire boys history too. What you talking about? JB: So you think Dak has you think Dak had better better weapons than the previous quarterbacks, like when Romo had T O and Glenn, Motown: Well JB: and Witten, who he had on? They've been running back Murray. Smooth: Yeah, now, yeah, he got better weapons than them now since Pickens came along, but he was doing it before Pickens. Motown: And it got it. Smooth: He was putting 4,000 JB: So Smooth: yards up before Pickens. 45. He put that up before Pickens, Motown: yeah. Smooth: God damn. Just with receiver. He did that. That's why he good. The mother boys had two all the time. You understand? They always had a little combo. One was having a combo. All the other ones had a little combo. Irving and Hoffa. You understand what I'm saying? Motown: Okay. Smooth: Drew Pearson and I, I can't think of another guy's name. But all them had a little combo. JB: So you think Motown: Deck every receivers too. Smooth: Now with the comeback. JB: I'm about to say you you think Dak you Troy: Yeah. JB: think D Motown: He a dead brand? JB: this team is is a lot better than Smooth: No, I said two. JB: the team that Tony Romo that that Tony Romo had with T O Glenn who the running back was it Murray the running back or no Barber the the Smooth: blah blah. JB: Barber and another running back. I forgot it was, it was lightning thunder, Smooth: Yeah, that got better. Motown: no, no, Smooth: That got better weapons than that guy. Yeah, I'm saying to JB: Murray, yeah, Murray. So yeah, Mariana Murray and Smooth: you. Yeah. And rather do got arrested JB: See. Smooth: for the drugs. Remember the dude who got arrested for the drugs? Yeah, he was good. He was good too. But yeah, that got JB: yeah, number thirty in number number thirty out here. yeah, he gonna s he wanna go in to Tampa. Smooth: better receivers in there. Right now. Yeah. I can't lie about that. What you're saying? Saying that? JB: Yeah. I was Smooth: What you say? Motown: What? Smooth: Do we have better receivers now than in the other quarterbacks? Motown: Then what are well the quarterback? Smooth: Cowboy. JB: Like when when Romo had Tio and Glenn in Whitney Whitten, because you know Aigman had Troy Aigman had yeah Smooth: and Nova Check. Motown: Copper, Irving. So you think you saying that that got better? JB: don't forget Steve Walsh. Steve Walsh had Urban too. Can't forget about him. That's before your time, Troy. Smooth: Yeah. Yeah. He was. JB: Came the s came in the Saints and no no comment. Smooth: Okay. Motown: No, Smooth, you saying that Dak got better receivers than all the other quarterbacks? That's what you saying? Smooth: Now, right now, it's his pick is pain. Motown: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know Smooth: You don't think so? Motown: because I don't know. JB: I like that. I like I like Romo team, yeah, Smooth: Way on go. JB: man. Cause Glenn was nice. I know t everybody knows TO, but Glenn was nice. And and they had Smooth: May it was nice. Bye bye. JB: and they had the other boy, eight eighty four boys y'all had, Smooth. I did his house. Smooth: But Crate, Patrick Crate. Patrick Crate. JB: Yeah, I him, I I did I did his house when I did pest control I was doing pest control. him Smooth: yeah. JB: and I th I thought I had another good receiver y'all had, but I I don't I think my opinion, I I think Romo had And some some some talent around him. Motown: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean Dak has something Smooth: That's it now. JB: Sure. Motown: too. Dak Dak has something too. Dak probably has fallen a little JB: yeah. Motown: short running back compared to the other teams with the good receivers. Smooth: I'm just, yeah, he was short of running over on the back. But now I think Williams is better Motown: Yeah, 'cause again, he haven't had a consistent good running back. They've been playing with the running back. Smooth: than Murray, Barber. I think Williams better than them. I mean, when Motown: I ain't seen it. Smooth: they went to other teams, they ain't do good. Williams comes to a new team, he do good. They gave up on him in a demo, right? He come down here, what he be? Motown: What what did he do yesterday? JB: Absolutely. Motown: What did he do Sunday? Smooth: They didn't run them that much. They ran them like nine times. They ain't run them that much. Motown: That's the that's why he ain't didn't that 'cause they ain't run him. How Smooth: Yeah. Motown: many r h how many rushes he had? He had about fifteen? Smooth: like nine? No, He didn't have over 10. He didn't have 10. I don't believe. I don't think he had over 10. Yeah, like 30 something yards. No, the game, the Motown: And it's because what? That's because y'all needed to pass the ball? 'Cause y'all y'all had to lead the whole game, so why y'all wouldn't run them? Smooth: the game plan was we see y'all manning on lamb or something, we going at it. So we knew what to take. We knew about that cornerback too. Motown: No, yeah, God God y'all went at Sandersteel the whole game. There ain't no doubt about it. Y'all showed the y'all showed us that we had a weakness at corner and y'all did that the whole game. I was pissed off. No adjustment happened. No help. I was pissed off. They had everybody that caught a pass, everybody caught a pass on Sandersteel. Everybody. Smooth: Yeah, that's it. I seen it with one on one. I see it one on one. I'm going there. That's why he kept that's why he kept going at CD. Every time I him going on that board, he take them. Yeah, JB: Yeah. Mm-hmm. So Smooth: but CDs are little dirty. JB: Right. Swell. Smooth: See, he made a mom and dad. JB: Right. So we'll so I guess we all have our different opinions on that quarterback look who had a better better receiving core and all team I'm gonna say offensive team. So let's move on to this one. we're pretty much running to the end of the show, but before we get out, I gotta get some predictions from y'all. let's see let me go ahead with this part. By the end of the week, week three we're gonna know if the Raiders are real or not, pretty much if they can When beat the Saints, which we were talking about earlier, people sleeping on their defense. We should know if the Ravens I mean, if the Raiders are a real team a good team. So I know the Saints I think ranked defense, I wanna say, I think they was in that twenty to fifteen range. So that's that's Smooth: Yeah, yeah, yeah, easy enough there. JB: that's still not bad compared to the people they lost from Smooth: Yeah. JB: the they lost some people to Taylor Taylor, linebacker the Mar, what his name was, number fifty six. Motown: No, linebacker? Yeah. Davis. JB: Davis had lost the cornerback. Some people hurt. So they Smooth: Yeah, cool. I'll call it. JB: they impressed on me. So I want to ask y'all just when we get out of here, give me your bold prediction for next week. I can give y'all a couple of key games. I I thought I had this the thing, but we have this ain't no key game. I don't know why I got this on here. Falcons and Packers, Smooth: Please. JB: Chargers and Bills. I think that game's gonna probably pretty much say what just Herbert had. Smooth: huh. JB: But I'll I Motown: And and Alan. JB: Yeah Allen on the mission. Smooth: Yeah, cheers. Motown: Yeah, yeah. JB: this this should be a decent one. see Smooth: No. JB: Tro see Troy boy. Troy Motown: He that do Troy, he that do. JB: boys shine. Bengals Smooth: You know. JB: and Steelers. You gotta see the you need to see the number one number one receiver, Metcalf go against the number three receiver, Chase. Troy: Man Chase gonna win. Smooth: you Troy: Bingo's gonna win now. Smooth: My board position is still going to that thing. They're going to finally get it together. But it's going to be hard. JB: So you so you think you think McMet not gonna have a big game against the Bengals? Who you think of a big a Smooth: This is you're gonna have to pay. JB: bigger game? Troy: I don't know. He probably know. JB: Amen. He he gonna come out and prove why he's the number one receiver in the game on Mc Metcalf. Troy: Number one Smooth: He's gonna be at number one in Troy: man up but Smooth: your heart, Troy: Man never. Smooth: You don't want your JB: Okay. Troy: Never, never, never. That boy a hey, he Smooth: heart, Yeah, it is hard. It can break your heart. Motown: In his heart? JB: So yeah. Troy: ain't he ain't that dude. He ain't that dude, bruh. JB: All right. All the other games I have that's Troy: Mm-hmm. JB: gonna probably be a good game's will be the the Ravens and Cowboys, I'll say the Saints and Raiders, and this gonna be the game for me. I g matter of fact, just give me our pick on this one. I think this might be the game, I I think. I think the Rams and the Broncos, I think Peyton always some some reason Peyton always goes to another level when he comes against the Rams. Smooth: Hmm. Yeah, I think. Motown: You he had bad memories. Smooth: I think this is going to be. JB: Yeah. Smooth: Yeah, I think. Michael is my witness. When he planted. JB: I got I got the Broncos. What Smooth: They plan a mahala. JB: you got, Char? yeah. Troy: Yeah. Smooth: yeah, I'm gonna give it to them. Troy: I'm gonna take the round. JB: We got it. Motown: That's a hard one. 'Cause the defense of the Broncos Smooth: I did. Motown: with Sartan is Sartan gonna be playing? Smooth: Yeah, I believe so. What happened to him? He JB: Good question. Ooh. Troy: Yeah. Motown: But I don't know if he got hurt. I think he got hurt in the last game. Smooth: died, didn't know he got hurt. But they got a corner bag. Motown: So if s if JB: that's not. Motown: Satan is playing, then a slight edge to Denver. But if Satan is not playing, you're gonna see Devontae Adams again. Smooth: I hope so. Troy: Nah boy, it's not Devontae. It's gonna be Puka. That's who you're gonna check. Smooth: Yeah, you gonna be playing that game. JB: Yeah, you're gonna probably go on whoever hat, but yeah, I he might start off on Puka. Yeah. Yeah. Motown: No, I didn't say I didn't no, when I said that I meant I meant when I when I said that, Troy: He's gonna start off on poo. I ain't no man, listen. Listen. Motown: I meant it was gonna be Devontae Adams show again. Is that what I meant? Smooth: But if there's certain on, man, he ain't gonna Troy: I was about to say, I'm about to say Puga gonna be that Smooth: go off like talk about it. He gonna get something, but he ain't gonna do Troy: Man, poo he gonna be on Puga, bruh. Smooth: a lot. You know what certain is? I said certain on, Motown: NΓ£o Γ© eu dou a live. Adams? Smooth: no. Yeah. Motown: Certain Certain gonna probably be on Puka. Yeah. And that's gonna give Adams all the the alleys. Yeah. Yeah, Smooth: You don't have to. Motown: Adams, they can give him all the alleys, bro. So Troy: Yeah. Because right JB: Right. Troy: now Allen's number two. JB: Yeah. Well Motown: And that's what I said. I said he came to the team as the number two, but guess what? He's still playing like he's a number one. JB: Number one he does. So it's it's gonna be a I think it'll be a good Smooth: Yeah. JB: game on so one I got one more question for y'all before we leave out. What's one what's one quarterback let's take away the Super Bowl? A underrated quarter a quarterback who never gave us credit, like nobody who's playing right now talking about from let's say last twenty five, thirty years, whatever you want to call. But a quarterback that's been that been in the league that did his thing, but he don't get the credit 'cause he has he don't have a Super Bowl. Motown: That's a horrible one, yeah. Smooth: Did a thing. JB: I'm I go I go first. I'm gonna say Dan Marino. When everybody talks about the greats, you Yeah, when they talk Smooth: I thought about that. I thought about that. JB: about the greats it's always the same Joe, Peyton, I have reason times, Aaron. You never hear airway, yeah, I was sometimes, but you never hear like act Smooth: that. JB: like act like that boy wasn't nice. Smooth: I'm gonna say, Troy: about to tell you for me, it would be Warren Moon. Motown: He was it He was the truth. Smooth: I'm gonna say cut in here. I'm gonna cut in here. JB: Yeah, one moon, another one. Who you got? He about to say Mark Rippin' but he won. Smooth: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Motown: You better believe it, baby. Smooth: ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Motown: You better believe it, baby. Mm I that's a good question, but off the top of my JB: The O Motown: head I'm I'm listening I'm listening in Warren Moon, Smooth: Go for it. Motown: But I'm gonna give you a good one that nobody all y'all gonna shake your head, yeah. Jim Kelly. JB: yeah, he on my he my list right here. I yeah, I know. Yeah, I know Keith know about him. Smooth: yeah. We've been twice. JB: Yeah, but I had for my file I had Motown: We got one. JB: Marino, Kelly yeah, y'all there too. And Smooth: Well, there too. He shared that one. JB: Warren Moon. Man, I was pulling for a Buffalo them yeah that year too. Motown: D the year that Smooth: I Motown: they the year they played the Giants is the guy I was pulling for them. Smooth: bet you were. I bet you were. Yeah, because you was all full of JB: But you know, I I've been I've been a hater on the Cowboys, man, so I'm not gonna even stop here in line. That's why I like going.
