CARPE DIEM Study Examines Antiracist Parenting | Minneapolis News
A University of Minnesota study called CARPE DIEM—short for Courageous, Antiracist, and Reflective Parenting Efforts—is testing whether an online program can help white mothers reduce racial bias in their young children aged five to eight. Funded with nearly $600,000, the three-year initiative aims to interrupt early childhood bias by engaging families in antiracist parenting. The project follows a controversial prior study involving “Gender Dolls” that drew national attention.
