Latest / Conduit Place / Townhall Review | Conservative Commentary On Today... - Ed Morrissey: CBS Reporters Shocked, Shocked to Hear Weiss Wants Reporting on El-Sayed
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: This is Ed Morrissey of HotAir.com for Town Hall. Scandal
- 0:04Speaker 1: has once again hit CBS News, at least as defined
- 0:07Speaker 1: by the rest of the protection racket media. CBS reporters
- 0:10Speaker 1: complained to Semaphore's Max Tanney that managing editor Barry Weiss
- 0:13Speaker 1: has asked them to investigate Abdul El-Sayed's many connections to
- 0:17Speaker 1: the Muslim Brotherhood unearthed by the Washington Free Beacon. Instead,
- 0:20Speaker 1: these reporters want to make this race about Trump. At CNN,
- 0:24Speaker 1: Dana Bash tried to make Mike Rogers answer for Trump's
- 0:27Speaker 1: ridicule of El-Sayed. Rogers pushed back hard enough to make
- 0:30Speaker 1: Bash retreat while saying, I don't want to debate with you,
- 0:33Speaker 1: after bringing it up in the first place. The question
- 0:35Speaker 1: here shouldn't be whether Weiss has the authority to hand
- 0:37Speaker 1: out investigative reporting assignments. It should be why reporters from
- 0:41Speaker 1: CBS and all of the rest of the mainstream media
- 0:43Speaker 1: aren't embarrassed that they have shown zero interest in a
- 0:45Speaker 1: story where a Senate candidate supports and is supported by
- 0:49Speaker 1: foreign terrorist organizations. Barry Weiss wants her news organization to
- 0:52Speaker 1: cover all candidates. Mainstream media reporters want to cover four
- 0:56Speaker 1: Democrats instead. I'm Ed Morrissey.
