- 0:05Speaker 1: You to go and there we go.
- 2:23Speaker 2: All right, Welcome to Believe in the Journey Podcast where
- 2:28Speaker 2: I'm your host, Trevita Harris. Tonight we will be talking
- 2:32Speaker 2: to phenomenal coach Rachel L. Gary. And when I tell you,
- 2:37Speaker 2: this woman is truly amazing. She is all about being
- 2:41Speaker 2: the CEO of your own life and most of us
- 2:45Speaker 2: are still hiding in the shadows of being the CEO
- 2:48Speaker 2: of our own lives. And Rachel is gonna show us
- 2:52Speaker 2: how we get to that point. And I promise you
- 2:55Speaker 2: you don't want to miss these intellectual nuggets that she
- 2:59Speaker 2: has for us on getting on track on being the
- 3:02Speaker 2: CEOs of our own lives. Now, before I bring her up,
- 3:07Speaker 2: the only thing we got to do first and foremost
- 3:10Speaker 2: is go to God and prayer, because if we don't
- 3:12Speaker 2: go to him first, that means we are not acknowledging
- 3:14Speaker 2: him and thanking him for what he's brought us through. So,
- 3:17Speaker 2: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for bringing us together as
- 3:19Speaker 2: you do each and every time we're in front of you.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Let the words of our mouths tonight fall upon the
- 3:24Speaker 2: ears that need to hear. Let the words that they
- 3:28Speaker 2: hear be the milestones and the brick layers of what
- 3:33Speaker 2: they need to get off the couch, get out of
- 3:36Speaker 2: their comfort zone and get out of their way, and
- 3:38Speaker 2: get out of your way, and let them walk into
- 3:41Speaker 2: the purpose of which you have called them to do.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Everything that we say tonight is going to be something
- 3:47Speaker 2: that someone can use to become the CEO of their
- 3:50Speaker 2: lives and letting go of the fears. So God, we
- 3:53Speaker 2: thank you for bringing us here. Let the words of
- 3:55Speaker 2: our mouths fall upon the ears that need to hear,
- 3:58Speaker 2: and your precious and holy name. Amen. Now miss Rachel listening,
- 4:05Speaker 2: I want you to introduce yourself as well. I know
- 4:08Speaker 2: I gave you a small introduction, but I would like
- 4:10Speaker 2: for you to introduce yourself and tell them a little
- 4:13Speaker 2: bit about you, and then we're going to get into
- 4:15Speaker 2: the conversation of the evening.
- 4:18Speaker 3: All right, Hey, I am first I want to say
- 4:22Speaker 3: thank you very much with Trida for having me today
- 4:24Speaker 3: on your show. It is definitely a pleasure. As I
- 4:30Speaker 3: was saying behind stage, it was a pleasure to meet
- 4:32Speaker 3: you in person when I was in Atlanta. You are
- 4:34Speaker 3: a phenomenal individual and I am I feel honored to
- 4:38Speaker 3: be able to share this opportunity with you. Tonight and
- 4:42Speaker 3: to all you CEOs out there. As she said, I
- 4:45Speaker 3: am Rachel el Gary and what I do is just
- 4:49Speaker 3: remind people of who you are looking to be. And
- 4:54Speaker 3: the CEO that she's talking about is that person that
- 4:57Speaker 3: is clearing your actions and powered by your choices and
- 5:00Speaker 3: owning your direction so you can fully step in two
- 5:04Speaker 3: being the CEO of your life.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I like that most people are fearful about taking the
- 5:12Speaker 2: initiative to step into what it is that they've been
- 5:17Speaker 2: called to do. What is something that helped you to
- 5:20Speaker 2: get to where you started being the CEO of your
- 5:24Speaker 2: own life? What was something that was pivotal that helped
- 5:27Speaker 2: you to get there?
- 5:30Speaker 3: I appreciate the question, Trida. What started my journey to
- 5:34Speaker 3: being the CEO of my life was taking stock of
- 5:38Speaker 3: where my life was and where I wanted my life
- 5:42Speaker 3: to be.
- 5:43Speaker 4: When I took hey, I'm gonna take you back a
- 5:47Speaker 4: little bit. This is gonna aid me. Okay.
- 5:49Speaker 3: So it was in two thousand and four. I was
- 5:52Speaker 3: sitting on my sister and lost couch. My kids were
- 5:57Speaker 3: sleeping on an air mattress.
- 5:59Speaker 4: And homeless, but in a home where we were we were,
- 6:02Speaker 4: we where we were definitely okay to be However, it
- 6:06Speaker 4: wasn't our own.
- 6:09Speaker 3: I went on a on a porch and had a
- 6:12Speaker 3: real conversation with myself in January, how about this guy's
- 6:17Speaker 3: January in Chicago. I set my porch for over an hour.
- 6:22Speaker 3: It was when I first went outside, it was twenty degrees.
- 6:25Speaker 3: We're not gonna We're not gonna factor in the windshield.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Okay.
- 6:28Speaker 3: By the end of that an hour or two later,
- 6:31Speaker 3: I had written down everything that had gotten me there, okay,
- 6:36Speaker 3: so I could understand where it fell apart. But ultimately
- 6:43Speaker 3: what I really realized was I had I read it,
- 6:47Speaker 3: wrote it all down, but I couldn't.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Understand where I wanted to be. Okay. So that day
- 6:54Speaker 4: is when I made the decision of who Rachel L.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Gary was going to become, to be able to have
- 7:01Speaker 3: more clarity in my life and being able to empower
- 7:04Speaker 3: myself with the clarity and own everything after that.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 7:11Speaker 3: So that was the pivotal moment January two thousand and four,
- 7:15Speaker 3: when I was like.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Enough is And I told people all the time, when
- 7:21Speaker 2: I hear people that constantly say I'm tired of this,
- 7:23Speaker 2: I'm tired of that, You're never tired until you put
- 7:26Speaker 2: actions behind being tired, because when you want something to change,
- 7:30Speaker 2: you'll actually do what's necessary to change it. And one
- 7:34Speaker 2: thing for me I can say is that I do
- 7:37Speaker 2: a self inventory. And this was something I started after
- 7:40Speaker 2: my husband and I my ex husband now separated. I
- 7:44Speaker 2: needed to figure out who I was again because being married,
- 7:49Speaker 2: I was a wife, I was a mom, I was
- 7:51Speaker 2: everything to everybody else, but I lost track of who
- 7:55Speaker 2: I was. So I had to go and learn how
- 7:58Speaker 2: to be to read again. And so when I had
- 8:01Speaker 2: to do that self inventory, when I tell you, it
- 8:05Speaker 2: was hard to do because I had to let go
- 8:10Speaker 2: of the idea of what everybody else thought I was
- 8:14Speaker 2: and everything that everybody wanted me to be to get
- 8:17Speaker 2: to the core of what I needed. And I think
- 8:22Speaker 2: that's a good thing for people to even when they
- 8:25Speaker 2: are ready to start, that they can write that list down,
- 8:29Speaker 2: and writing that list down definitely helps. What is something
- 8:33Speaker 2: that you would tell someone if they're ready to become
- 8:39Speaker 2: the CEO of their life? What is one thing that
- 8:42Speaker 2: they can do today?
- 8:45Speaker 3: Take stock of where you are and be true. They're
- 8:50Speaker 3: similar to what Travida said to who you want to become,
- 8:54Speaker 3: and this is probably the hardest thing because we all
- 8:59Speaker 3: live in a a side of what what what someone
- 9:03Speaker 3: wants from us or the things that we we will
- 9:06Speaker 3: go from the job that we have to how we
- 9:08Speaker 3: show up for our family members, and how we show
- 9:11Speaker 3: up for our friends, and how we show up for
- 9:13Speaker 3: a relationship. Those A lot of people say, well, I'm
- 9:16Speaker 3: a different person in all of those in those arenas.
- 9:20Speaker 4: That to me and I'm I'm not here to judge.
- 9:23Speaker 4: I don't believe in judging.
- 9:25Speaker 3: I don't believe clarifying a message that I've lived through
- 9:30Speaker 3: when I when you feel authentically connected to who you
- 9:34Speaker 3: are and where you want to go, then all the
- 9:38Speaker 3: other limiting things they go by the waistline. Yeah, so
- 9:44Speaker 3: when you so like what you really just said, Well,
- 9:46Speaker 3: she had to find who she was. It's when once
- 9:50Speaker 3: you once you discover who you are, or or even
- 9:53Speaker 3: if you're not that person yet, but as you're gradually as.
- 9:57Speaker 4: You know that you who you want to become.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Because on that porch, I said I wanted to become
- 10:02Speaker 3: one thing, a person my children was we could be
- 10:05Speaker 3: proud of. I didn't say a parent, I said a person.
- 10:12Speaker 3: That meant that I gave myself some laws guys. It
- 10:16Speaker 3: was from laws I had to live by to be
- 10:19Speaker 3: a person that they were proud of. The very first
- 10:22Speaker 3: thing was to be integrity m hm. And having integrity
- 10:27Speaker 3: is about what you're doing when no one's watching. So
- 10:31Speaker 3: when you're think of it that way, Trada, who do
- 10:33Speaker 3: you have to be honest with?
- 10:35Speaker 2: You gotta be honest with yourself first.
- 10:37Speaker 3: You absolutely, and it's sometimes for a lot of people,
- 10:42Speaker 3: what I've noticed is probably the hardest thing to do,
- 10:45Speaker 3: because you are we were lying about our age, we're
- 10:49Speaker 3: lying about we're lying about our career, We're lying about
- 10:54Speaker 3: what kind of car we're driving, We're lying about I mean,
- 10:56Speaker 3: I'm not not this is not.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Saying anyone personally. I'm saying but small.
- 11:01Speaker 3: We're lying about the commitment of just taking our garbage
- 11:04Speaker 3: on an everyday basis exactly.
- 11:07Speaker 4: So the first thing.
- 11:08Speaker 3: That I will say is that I offer a free
- 11:09Speaker 3: seven day challenge, and ever so every month we do
- 11:13Speaker 3: a challenge, but the first month is free. And the
- 11:17Speaker 3: free seven day challenge that I offer starts off with
- 11:19Speaker 3: building integrity. Not integrity in my sense, but integrity in
- 11:26Speaker 3: believing in you. Because you can't accomplish any goals you
- 11:31Speaker 3: can't set any goals if you can't trust the words
- 11:34Speaker 3: that you say to you exactly.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Have you, guys ever heard this?
- 11:38Speaker 4: Have you ever heard this? And toe, I want you
- 11:40Speaker 4: to try me in and let let me know. Have
- 11:41Speaker 4: you ever heard that?
- 11:43Speaker 3: We think and spend more time subconsciously than conscious in
- 11:47Speaker 3: our lives. So if we're thinking subconsciously more often, that
- 11:54Speaker 3: means it doesn't matter what you're saying consciously.
- 11:58Speaker 4: It matters what you're thinking snooker.
- 12:01Speaker 3: So if you told if you said, Okay, I'm gonna
- 12:04Speaker 3: take the garbage out when I get home from work,
- 12:07Speaker 3: but then you get home from work and say, man,
- 12:08Speaker 3: I'm too tired to take the garbage out.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Now, you giving yourself an excuse not to do what
- 12:14Speaker 4: you said you're gonna do for you. Yeah, it seems minor.
- 12:19Speaker 3: It seems minor, But we tell the blue white lives
- 12:23Speaker 3: all the time.
- 12:24Speaker 4: I'll use myself today.
- 12:25Speaker 3: For instance, my youngest came into town today and they
- 12:30Speaker 3: just left like fifteen minutes ago, so well thirty minutes ago.
- 12:33Speaker 3: They left right before we jumped on, and I had
- 12:37Speaker 3: told my wife there was some things I.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Was gonna do.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Now I woke up this morning with a toothache. So
- 12:44Speaker 3: now we're gonna talk about the excuses I.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Could have given for what I was. Okay, my tooth
- 12:49Speaker 4: was hurting.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I had a headache because my tooth was hurting, so
- 12:54Speaker 3: I couldn't eat yet, because I couldn't eat anything, to
- 12:56Speaker 3: take some type of medication for my tooth. All of
- 13:01Speaker 3: those things. Now, let me tell you what I did. Okay,
- 13:04Speaker 3: what I did was I went. I ate a little
- 13:09Speaker 3: piece of something very very small, because you know, when
- 13:11Speaker 3: you're two thirds you don't want to eat nothing. You
- 13:12Speaker 3: don't want to breathe hardly. I had cotton in my
- 13:17Speaker 3: ears to keep the air from coming in. Then I
- 13:20Speaker 3: took a pain pill. Now I sat on the couch.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I told her give me fifteen to twenty minutes. I'm
- 13:27Speaker 3: gonna lay on the couch and do the things I
- 13:28Speaker 3: said I.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Was gonna do. Because the biggest thing to me my word.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Our word is golden.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Exactly, and people can rely on what I say, and
- 13:45Speaker 3: I can rely on what I say.
- 13:48Speaker 4: I told her I was going to do some things.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I did exactly what I told her I was gonna do,
- 13:52Speaker 3: and I was in pain all up until about an
- 13:56Speaker 3: hour of like by fifteen minutes before they walked in
- 13:58Speaker 3: the door, the paper and finally quick then I rarely
- 14:03Speaker 3: take medication.
- 14:04Speaker 4: I mean, for me to take any.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Kind of pay medication, I am in excruciating. I mean,
- 14:12Speaker 3: there's no okay, this is a slight no, no, it's
- 14:14Speaker 3: an almost incapacitating I can't do what you But when
- 14:19Speaker 3: I said I was going to do something, I did
- 14:22Speaker 3: just that. And now now let's say I have still
- 14:25Speaker 3: been feeling bad, I still would to I still would
- 14:28Speaker 3: have made baby right here, right now, because I told
- 14:30Speaker 3: you you that I was going to be there.
- 14:33Speaker 2: And see, I understand that, and I agree with that
- 14:35Speaker 2: whole heartedly, simply because I tell people all the time
- 14:39Speaker 2: there's a difference between excuses and reasons. Reasons will prevent
- 14:44Speaker 2: you from doing something. Excuses is something that you make
- 14:47Speaker 2: up that you just don't want to do it. And
- 14:49Speaker 2: I'd rather a person tell me they just don't want
- 14:52Speaker 2: to do it than to basically make up something and say, okay,
- 14:57Speaker 2: you know what, this is what it is. But I'm
- 15:00Speaker 2: gonna say this about myself. This is like I deal
- 15:03Speaker 2: with Krii malformation. It's a serious neurological condition. It's a
- 15:08Speaker 2: brain condition, and I have severe headaches all the time.
- 15:12Speaker 2: So if you've ever had a migrain headache, multiplied that
- 15:15Speaker 2: by ten, and it has a burning sensation at the
- 15:18Speaker 2: base of my neck and my shoulders. So I'm usually
- 15:22Speaker 2: in pain a lot of the times. Most people don't
- 15:24Speaker 2: ever know because I've been able to maneuver through it.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Now.
- 15:30Speaker 2: With that being said, before I got to the space
- 15:32Speaker 2: to where I'm at now and I can function in
- 15:36Speaker 2: a way that nobody ever knows how much pain I'm
- 15:39Speaker 2: really in is by I got tired of hearing myself
- 15:45Speaker 2: talk about how much pain I was in. And so
- 15:48Speaker 2: when I got tired of hearing myself when someone would
- 15:52Speaker 2: ask how you feel and how you doing, I'd be like, man,
- 15:55Speaker 2: my head hurts, I don't feel good. I can't do this,
- 15:58Speaker 2: I can't do that. And one day I was getting
- 16:01Speaker 2: ready to say that to somebody when they asked me
- 16:04Speaker 2: how I was doing, and I just simply said, I'm good,
- 16:07Speaker 2: you know, even though I wasn't. And it was just
- 16:11Speaker 2: like after that, I began to tell myself how good
- 16:14Speaker 2: I was outside of the pain I was feeling, and
- 16:19Speaker 2: it was like, Okay, yeah, you're in a lot of pain,
- 16:22Speaker 2: but you don't have to voice that to everybody, because
- 16:25Speaker 2: everybody doesn't want to know just how much pain you're in,
- 16:28Speaker 2: and not everybody's gonna be understanding, and not everybody's going
- 16:31Speaker 2: to be sympathetic to you saying that, and you're probably
- 16:34Speaker 2: getting on people's nerves also. But pain and tired of
- 16:39Speaker 2: hearing it, just like you're tired of saying it. So
- 16:42Speaker 2: I stopped saying it because I got tired of hearing it,
- 16:45Speaker 2: And so as I got tired of hearing it, it
- 16:47Speaker 2: was like, Okay, well, what else can I do in
- 16:50Speaker 2: the place of not feeling well? So I started telling myself, Oh,
- 16:54Speaker 2: I feel good today. Now if I'm in really excruciating pain,
- 16:58Speaker 2: then yeah, I'm gonna tell you, because number one, I'm
- 17:01Speaker 2: not gonna be able to hide it when I'm in
- 17:02Speaker 2: that intensive of pain episode, because it's going to show, like,
- 17:10Speaker 2: right now my face is on fire because it is suffer,
- 17:15Speaker 2: but it's not going to stop me from doing what
- 17:18Speaker 2: I need to do. I was in a virtual monologue
- 17:21Speaker 2: a couple of years ago, and I woke up in
- 17:24Speaker 2: excruciating pain duing to my Kiari, and I knew that
- 17:29Speaker 2: there wasn't an undis understudy for me there wasn't anybody
- 17:32Speaker 2: who could take my place, and I'm like, I have
- 17:36Speaker 2: to help everyone else, you know, because my part is
- 17:40Speaker 2: major for this virtual monologue. I have to show up
- 17:43Speaker 2: regardless of how much pain I'm in. And so I
- 17:46Speaker 2: told the ladies, you know, I'm not feeling well, but
- 17:50Speaker 2: don't count me out. I'll do what I need to do.
- 17:53Speaker 2: When the camera came on me, no one knew I
- 17:58Speaker 2: was in excruciation pain. You couldnot tell. I did not
- 18:02Speaker 2: look like it, I did not move like it. And
- 18:05Speaker 2: that's one thing, like I tell my kids all the time,
- 18:10Speaker 2: if you want to actually be better at something, the
- 18:14Speaker 2: dialogue that you have with yourself is the most important
- 18:17Speaker 2: dialogue you'll ever have, because if you tell yourself that
- 18:20Speaker 2: you can't do something, then guess what, You're not gonna
- 18:23Speaker 2: be able to do it. If you tell yourself this
- 18:25Speaker 2: right here, what you're thinking about, is gonna fail, then
- 18:29Speaker 2: it's going to fail. But you can't ever fail at
- 18:32Speaker 2: anything if you don't actually get up and get started.
- 18:35Speaker 2: You gotta get to the starting line to get to
- 18:37Speaker 2: the finish line. It's not going to be easy to
- 18:41Speaker 2: get to the finish line. You're gonna run into some obstacles.
- 18:44Speaker 2: You're gonna run into some detours, But as long as
- 18:47Speaker 2: the plan is to get to the finish line, you
- 18:50Speaker 2: gotta do what is necessary. And I ask people all
- 18:53Speaker 2: the time, how bad do you want the thing that
- 18:55Speaker 2: you talk about?
- 18:55Speaker 4: To say it again? Say together one more time that
- 19:00Speaker 4: I use.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Yeah, when I find when I find myself lit's say,
- 19:05Speaker 3: everyone has a moment of doubt, and everyone has that
- 19:07Speaker 3: moment of.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Of man, I've been hitting them. I've been hitting I
- 19:11Speaker 4: hit a brick, you hit a brick wall. I asked
- 19:13Speaker 4: myself the question, how bad do you want?
- 19:16Speaker 3: What you said you were moving towards how bad? And
- 19:21Speaker 3: and and.
- 19:23Speaker 4: I'm not and I want to I want to say this,
- 19:24Speaker 4: but I'm not saying that to minimize that. Sometimes it's
- 19:29Speaker 4: a lot of things that have to be done.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Yeah, what I noticed is that when I take them
- 19:34Speaker 3: one focused thing at a time, I want to repeat that,
- 19:38Speaker 3: one focused thing at the time. Then I accomplish my goals.
- 19:44Speaker 3: When you are taking when you're taking on ten things,
- 19:48Speaker 3: you're unfocused and scattered thoughts do not hit targets.
- 19:54Speaker 2: They do not say that one more time again.
- 19:58Speaker 3: I really mean that, because scattered thoughts don't hit targets
- 20:01Speaker 3: if you are. We have been fed a myth, and
- 20:05Speaker 3: I want to say it right here. We even fed
- 20:08Speaker 3: a myth that you can multitask. Let me explain nothing
- 20:13Speaker 3: or no or no. One multitasks that includes a computer,
- 20:18Speaker 3: that includes people.
- 20:20Speaker 4: We don't multitask. We stop one task to start another.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Exactly because when you're doing a task, you're conscious consciously
- 20:28Speaker 3: doing them. Now subconscious things they might be going on
- 20:31Speaker 3: in the background, like when we walk and talk. Those
- 20:34Speaker 3: are two different parts of our brain that are working.
- 20:37Speaker 3: They're not the same parts of our brain. So that
- 20:41Speaker 3: simulates as if you can do two things at once. However,
- 20:46Speaker 3: when you're formulating thoughts or you're formulating their plan, if
- 20:51Speaker 3: you're formulating a plan here and a plan here, one plan.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Has to stop to start another exactly. So that's why
- 21:00Speaker 4: they would focused intentions.
- 21:03Speaker 3: You moved to your vot and I take everything one
- 21:06Speaker 3: step in time cause I know that I know personally
- 21:09Speaker 3: that one thing would focus all your energy behind what
- 21:12Speaker 3: you're doing.
- 21:13Speaker 4: One thing. You always achieve.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It, Yeah, you achieve that. I tell my kids all
- 21:21Speaker 2: the time, Like when I got ready to go back
- 21:23Speaker 2: to school, now, I was a little hesitant on doing
- 21:25Speaker 2: that because I've been out of school for nineteen years.
- 21:28Speaker 2: And once I started that journey, I would tell myself,
- 21:32Speaker 2: like when they put me in a math class, I
- 21:35Speaker 2: was like, listen, I don't know anything about this. Math
- 21:37Speaker 2: is not my thing. I know numbers and I know
- 21:40Speaker 2: my money, but anything else that when you start adding
- 21:43Speaker 2: the letters and stuff and that you don't lost me
- 21:45Speaker 2: word problems, Listen, that ain't my thing. And so I
- 21:50Speaker 2: would have my children, my boys, check my math homework
- 21:54Speaker 2: behind me and they were like, why are we checking this.
- 21:57Speaker 2: You're good at this, and I was like, no, I'm not.
- 22:01Speaker 2: And they were like, every time you bring me your
- 22:04Speaker 2: homework to check you have the correct answers. So I
- 22:09Speaker 2: need you to stop bother me with this because you
- 22:13Speaker 2: are good at this. And I was like, well, I
- 22:17Speaker 2: guess I am. But I never thought about it because
- 22:20Speaker 2: for me, I always sucked at math. But I had
- 22:24Speaker 2: a good teacher while I was in college. You broke
- 22:27Speaker 2: it down to me in a way that I got
- 22:29Speaker 2: it but passed. Had always told me I was bad
- 22:32Speaker 2: at math. So I had to get used to a
- 22:35Speaker 2: new norm of knowing that I was good at something
- 22:38Speaker 2: that I thought I was bad at. How do you
- 22:40Speaker 2: direct people to let go of a past moment that
- 22:46Speaker 2: they felt define them that no longer defines them.
- 22:51Speaker 4: First, first of all, I want to love the statement
- 22:53Speaker 4: that came before it.
- 22:55Speaker 3: And how because it goes to limited belief to talking
- 23:00Speaker 3: about we hold ourselves back from a limiting belief limit.
- 23:05Speaker 3: We limit our thoughts, we limit our actions, and we liver,
- 23:08Speaker 3: we limit our possibilities. How when I'm talking to a
- 23:13Speaker 3: talking to individuals about changing the limiting belief, you have
- 23:18Speaker 3: to let go of things.
- 23:20Speaker 4: That have happened. You cannot change the past. So what
- 23:24Speaker 4: we're gonna do.
- 23:25Speaker 3: What you can do is you can you can remember
- 23:27Speaker 3: that over time you grow, right, and as you grow
- 23:32Speaker 3: and those number of problems you you are at a
- 23:35Speaker 3: different mind frame nineteen years ago than you are today.
- 23:40Speaker 3: You had eight to nine classes that you were doing
- 23:42Speaker 3: and usually in college you're doing two to three right,
- 23:46Speaker 3: and you have more time with those those counselors. And
- 23:49Speaker 3: I mean that's just with that particular situation, but in general,
- 23:53Speaker 3: as you are growing, you're gonna grow a new sense
- 23:56Speaker 3: of whom you are. So when you start hearing things
- 24:00Speaker 3: that are limiting you, you have to ask yourself, this
- 24:03Speaker 3: is something I use. It's called fadar. Focus on whatever
- 24:07Speaker 3: it is, Acknowledge whatever happened has happened, Debunk debunk that
- 24:12Speaker 3: it has any relevance on your current situation, elevate above it,
- 24:17Speaker 3: and reprogram your mind by saying that I am the
- 24:22Speaker 3: best at or speak it into existence, which I'll use
- 24:25Speaker 3: a phrase.
- 24:26Speaker 2: For instance.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Let's say like, right now, I am on the mission
- 24:30Speaker 3: of selling five thousand copies of hashtag poverty to six figures.
- 24:34Speaker 3: And to do that, I've never sold five thousand books,
- 24:40Speaker 3: so I can say to myself, Hey, I never sold
- 24:44Speaker 3: five thousand books. I know nothing about it. So let
- 24:46Speaker 3: me say what I said. I am looking into the
- 24:50Speaker 3: methods and speaking to people who are able to help me.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Elevate to make to sell five thousand copies of hastack
- 24:58Speaker 3: poverty to six figures.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Limit in there.
- 25:01Speaker 3: So you the reprogram is something you have to tell yourself, because,
- 25:06Speaker 3: as you constantly tell yourself, your subconscious mind is gonna
- 25:10Speaker 3: be hold of you. You've already done it, yeah, and
- 25:14Speaker 3: your reality is gonna move you towards it. So, just
- 25:18Speaker 3: like Trevida was saying, good or bad, whatever you tell
- 25:22Speaker 3: yourself is gonna come to fruition.
- 25:25Speaker 4: You are.
- 25:27Speaker 3: You are the person who is navigating. You are the
- 25:29Speaker 3: GPS for you, sach. So if you're the GPS for you,
- 25:33Speaker 3: you give yourself instructions. I gave myself instructions that I'm
- 25:36Speaker 3: selling five thousand books in six months now.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Since I made that declaration when my book.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Came out on June seventeenth, I've met people who sold
- 25:48Speaker 3: millions of copies of books a book, not multiple books
- 25:54Speaker 3: of a book. I joined a mastermind of people who
- 25:58Speaker 3: have who have sold one hundred thousand to a million
- 26:02Speaker 3: copies of a book.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Now. Reason being is because if I'm looking to do.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Something, you gotta connect with the people that.
- 26:12Speaker 3: People who have done it, plus and they're gonna drop information.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Like one of the ladies that was in the Mastermind,
- 26:21Speaker 3: she made one reference of something that was so small,
- 26:24Speaker 3: it was so minute, it was something you would overlook. Okay,
- 26:29Speaker 3: so she gave me. She said, Okay, you're trying to
- 26:32Speaker 3: sell this number of books. How many number of books
- 26:34Speaker 3: you want to sell? Permont break it down? She said,
- 26:37Speaker 3: what activities are we going to do? She said, so
- 26:39Speaker 3: these are the activities I did. So she gave me
- 26:41Speaker 3: a list of activities. She did to sell one hundred
- 26:45Speaker 3: thousand copies. She's a million cop persons who sold a
- 26:47Speaker 3: million copies of her book and has is on Oprah's
- 26:51Speaker 3: list of.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 26:55Speaker 4: So she was explaining how she did it okay, and
- 27:00Speaker 4: the biggest thing.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Was her small, small, small piece of information. She said,
- 27:05Speaker 3: every time you see somebody, you're selling books. Every time
- 27:08Speaker 3: you talk to somebody, you're selling books. She said, Yes,
- 27:11Speaker 3: you are a leadership coach, but you are a leadership
- 27:14Speaker 3: coach who's selling a book that involves leadership. She said,
- 27:18Speaker 3: you're not talking, thinking, or being anything else but a
- 27:22Speaker 3: leadership coach who sells books, sell books. You're selling books.
- 27:27Speaker 3: You're selling books. You're selling books.
- 27:28Speaker 4: She said.
- 27:29Speaker 3: If you're telling yourself every day, you're selling books. Every
- 27:31Speaker 3: time you see somebody, you're offering a book. Every time
- 27:35Speaker 3: you discuss something somebody, you're talking about your book. She said,
- 27:37Speaker 3: you want to be the expert in your book. She said,
- 27:40Speaker 3: every chapter, what's in that chapter?
- 27:42Speaker 4: You should know?
- 27:44Speaker 3: Yeah, she said, read a piece of your book every day,
- 27:48Speaker 3: she said, and your content should match it.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Period. Now. Now, now I got a question, how hard
- 27:56Speaker 4: was any What she said it was.
- 28:00Speaker 2: You are already doing it.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Already making content every day, so we're already doing it.
- 28:07Speaker 4: But the strategy that she was speaking of was what
- 28:12Speaker 4: was missing.
- 28:13Speaker 2: The farm tuning basically is what we're necessary. And I
- 28:17Speaker 2: think a lot of people, even myself, I'm in the
- 28:20Speaker 2: space of fine tuning everything that I do with my
- 28:26Speaker 2: publishing business, with the podcast, with helping my clients, and
- 28:33Speaker 2: just everything else that I've been a part of. And
- 28:36Speaker 2: you know, I did my very first book sign and
- 28:38Speaker 2: last weekend Education, Thank you, thank you. It was it was,
- 28:45Speaker 2: it was amazing. I mean, I'm still in awe and
- 28:49Speaker 2: I've been trying to put into words how to express that,
- 28:54Speaker 2: and I can't because my heart is still so full
- 28:57Speaker 2: from the experience itself. Now, I had mister Edward asked
- 29:02Speaker 2: me a question at the event.
- 29:05Speaker 1: And.
- 29:07Speaker 2: I've been pondering that one question for a minute, even
- 29:10Speaker 2: though I was able to answer it, but I still
- 29:13Speaker 2: have to ponder upon it simply because it's a profound question.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And the question he asked me was why was that
- 29:23Speaker 2: my very first book signing when I've written six books
- 29:27Speaker 2: and I've been a co author in six other books.
- 29:31Speaker 2: And my response simply was this, because I'm in the
- 29:36Speaker 2: healing stage and learning to celebrate myself. I've never been
- 29:41Speaker 2: in a space to do that, and so that is
- 29:45Speaker 2: part of it. It was also a celebration for my mom.
- 29:49Speaker 2: It was the two year anniversary, well not necessarily anniversary,
- 29:53Speaker 2: but it's been two years since my mom passed, and
- 29:56Speaker 2: last Saturday it would have been her sixty sixth birthday.
- 29:59Speaker 2: So and I wrote the book in honor of her,
- 30:02Speaker 2: and everything that centered around it was centered around that
- 30:06Speaker 2: and to celebrate her and not just to make it
- 30:09Speaker 2: a sad moment, but.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Took a negative to make it a positive and awesome.
- 30:16Speaker 4: That's awesome. Sorry, no, you're Finn, You're fine.
- 30:20Speaker 2: But that question he asked me was simply, why did
- 30:24Speaker 2: it take so long for me to do that? And
- 30:27Speaker 2: as I explained to him, I have never been in
- 30:29Speaker 2: the space of celebrating self because I was always told
- 30:34Speaker 2: as a little child that I was only going to
- 30:37Speaker 2: be a drunk and an alcohol and a drunk and
- 30:39Speaker 2: a drug addict, just like my mother, and so everything
- 30:43Speaker 2: that the family that raised me, my aunt, they would
- 30:47Speaker 2: consistently tell me that those were my only options, that
- 30:51Speaker 2: I wasn't going to graduate high school, that I wasn't
- 30:53Speaker 2: going to do this and that I wasn't going to
- 30:55Speaker 2: do that, and so I got in the habit of, Okay,
- 30:58Speaker 2: you're telling me I'm not going to do something, and
- 31:00Speaker 2: let me go ahead and do it and prove you wrong.
- 31:03Speaker 2: So I got into the habit of proving people wrong
- 31:06Speaker 2: when they tell me I can't do something, and so
- 31:12Speaker 2: you tell me I can't do it, so now do it.
- 31:18Speaker 2: And so I got so used to doing that, so
- 31:20Speaker 2: it's like, Okay, I did that, what's next. So I
- 31:24Speaker 2: got criticized for writing my first poetry book because it
- 31:28Speaker 2: didn't look right. It didn't look it wasn't professionally done.
- 31:32Speaker 2: But I wasn't being I wasn't looking for that. I
- 31:36Speaker 2: was also being obedient to what God was telling me
- 31:39Speaker 2: to do. My best friend had came and said, you
- 31:41Speaker 2: need to write your book. You do this poetry all
- 31:44Speaker 2: the time, and I would tell her, yeah, okay, I'm
- 31:46Speaker 2: gonna do it one day, and then my son told
- 31:50Speaker 2: me I wasn't allowed to leave my bedroom. I had
- 31:52Speaker 2: to get this done, and so I did. And I
- 31:56Speaker 2: was like, God, if this is meant to be, if
- 31:57Speaker 2: this is the journey that you want me on, then
- 32:00Speaker 2: and this book will get accepted and so the book
- 32:02Speaker 2: got accepted on Amazon, and I was like, Okay, it
- 32:05Speaker 2: looks like crap, and it did. I mean, it had
- 32:09Speaker 2: all kind of different fonts in it, It had all
- 32:11Speaker 2: kind of different I mean, it just looked the hot mess. However,
- 32:15Speaker 2: if I had taken what every critic had to say
- 32:20Speaker 2: about me, I wouldn't be where I am today because
- 32:24Speaker 2: I would have listened to them. But my whole thing
- 32:27Speaker 2: has always been what is my assignment is my assignment.
- 32:30Speaker 2: It doesn't belong to anybody else, and I'm gonna do
- 32:34Speaker 2: what I'm supposed to do. And so I've been able
- 32:38Speaker 2: to do all my editing, do all my format and
- 32:43Speaker 2: do all of these things, and teach myself because I'm
- 32:45Speaker 2: a stroke survivor. I also had QRI my information. I've
- 32:49Speaker 2: had to learn how to walk and talk twice. And
- 32:52Speaker 2: so going from all of those things to where I
- 32:55Speaker 2: am now being connected to people who are like minded
- 33:00Speaker 2: individuals who are on the road to doing something better.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Just like you said in the beginning, you wanted your
- 33:08Speaker 2: kids to have someone that they could look up to
- 33:12Speaker 2: and model after. And that was one of the things
- 33:15Speaker 2: that I told myself, is that I want to make
- 33:18Speaker 2: sure that my children are happy and are grateful to
- 33:24Speaker 2: even mention my name in spaces, whereas myself growing up,
- 33:28Speaker 2: I was embarrassed by my mom. I didn't want nobody
- 33:31Speaker 2: to even know who my mom was until I got older.
- 33:36Speaker 2: And the difference with that was I had to take
- 33:39Speaker 2: the mom title off of my mother and look at
- 33:42Speaker 2: her as an individual and look at her life and
- 33:46Speaker 2: look at her as a person, and then realize that
- 33:50Speaker 2: she went through some things in life that took her
- 33:53Speaker 2: down a path, and her journey was never my journey.
- 33:57Speaker 2: But I had to get to know her as a
- 34:02Speaker 2: person and not just my mom. And when I was
- 34:04Speaker 2: able to do that, it helped me in so many ways.
- 34:08Speaker 2: And I've been connected to so many people, and I've
- 34:11Speaker 2: been in rooms that my family told me I would
- 34:14Speaker 2: never even be a part of. And so I've been
- 34:17Speaker 2: in spaces where I've had to fight back tears simply
- 34:20Speaker 2: because the little girl that they told me was never
- 34:24Speaker 2: gonna be in those rooms or walking in spaces where
- 34:27Speaker 2: now people know who I am before I even know
- 34:29Speaker 2: who they are, you know, And I'm grateful for that.
- 34:34Speaker 2: And I'm, like we talked about in the beginning, I'm
- 34:37Speaker 2: not a trend I'm not a trend follower. I am
- 34:40Speaker 2: authentically who I am. I'm not anything that I'm not
- 34:45Speaker 2: supposed to be and I will never pretend to be.
- 34:48Speaker 2: So when people say, well they said this about you,
- 34:51Speaker 2: they said that about you, Okay, that's fine. You know,
- 34:55Speaker 2: whatever somebody decides that they want to say about me,
- 34:58Speaker 2: that doesn't necessarily mean that I I am that person.
- 35:00Speaker 2: And one thing I am big on. I don't care
- 35:05Speaker 2: what people call me. It's what I choose to answer
- 35:08Speaker 2: to is what I'm always going to answer to. And
- 35:13Speaker 2: do you have a part where what you would consider
- 35:17Speaker 2: a breaking point with working with someone and a sense
- 35:21Speaker 2: of I would say lack of drive and lack of
- 35:28Speaker 2: respect for self because self respect comes to play in
- 35:32Speaker 2: a lot of things. And there's so many spaces now
- 35:34Speaker 2: where I see people lack self respect that keeps them
- 35:38Speaker 2: doing stuff that makes absolutely no sense. You know, I
- 35:42Speaker 2: don't know. It's just certain things that I'm like, I
- 35:46Speaker 2: think more of myself to even put myself in places
- 35:49Speaker 2: in spaces to where it's not going to be beneficial
- 35:52Speaker 2: in the long run. Do you have something like that
- 35:56Speaker 2: that you feel for yourself that you're just not gonna
- 35:59Speaker 2: put yourself in this space to where people were gonna
- 36:02Speaker 2: look at you like, how could she do something like that?
- 36:06Speaker 4: Well, I would say this verse Tata Tarita.
- 36:09Speaker 3: The biggest thing is is that I applaud all of
- 36:14Speaker 3: your discipline. I applaud all of your not allowing people
- 36:19Speaker 3: to tell you who you are and you stepping into
- 36:21Speaker 3: being Trevita Harris and not concerned to what anyone else
- 36:24Speaker 3: was thinking, saying, or how they felt about what you
- 36:28Speaker 3: were going to do for your purpose in life. So
- 36:30Speaker 3: I definitely want to applaud that moment. I always respect
- 36:34Speaker 3: as well as celebrate growth and celebrate excellence. And that
- 36:38Speaker 3: is an excellent statement, an excellent mindset. Now, the question
- 36:42Speaker 3: that was asked now, for me personally, I am a
- 36:46Speaker 3: firm believer and being authentically who I am. I have
- 36:52Speaker 3: for me self care is really about boundaries, sitting clear
- 36:56Speaker 3: boundaries with me, and that allows me to say clear
- 36:58Speaker 3: boundaries with people external of myself. So I don't put
- 37:02Speaker 3: myself in spaces or places that.
- 37:05Speaker 4: Don't align with me exactly.
- 37:07Speaker 3: And I'll say this like I'm a person who I
- 37:10Speaker 3: don't drink, never drink lett let'st's let's take it this.
- 37:13Speaker 4: We're not gonna take it like I stopped drinking yesterday.
- 37:16Speaker 4: I have had had two drinks. My I've had two
- 37:18Speaker 4: drinks my whole life, okay, and.
- 37:23Speaker 3: One of those drinks I don't even remember what happened.
- 37:25Speaker 3: And so I'm not a drinker.
- 37:28Speaker 4: One.
- 37:28Speaker 3: I don't drink, not being I don't drink because I
- 37:30Speaker 3: don't like the smell of alcohol. So but I mean
- 37:33Speaker 3: not liking the smell of it. I don't do things
- 37:35Speaker 3: as if I'm I want to say this why I.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Don't believe in being a trend setter. I mean being
- 37:40Speaker 4: part of the.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Trend because people who are unique make the trend exactly.
- 37:46Speaker 3: So I consider myself a trend set So if I'm
- 37:51Speaker 3: a trend setter, I can't follow the trend is liquid
- 37:57Speaker 3: information and see how that connects to where I'm trying
- 38:00Speaker 3: to go in the future. Like I was speaking about
- 38:02Speaker 3: the lady when she made this simple statement, her simple
- 38:05Speaker 3: statement already aligns with what I'm doing.
- 38:08Speaker 4: She's just refocusing how.
- 38:10Speaker 2: I do it exactly.
- 38:12Speaker 3: So as far as places and spaces I tend. Right now,
- 38:19Speaker 3: I'm on a radio show. I have a radio show
- 38:21Speaker 3: called wigim CEO is on my radio Chicago phenomenal radio
- 38:26Speaker 3: station they do there, but most of the interviews are
- 38:28Speaker 3: about like a lot of hip hop R and B.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I say, trap music type things. It's not my thing.
- 38:35Speaker 3: So on my show, out of all of the shows,
- 38:39Speaker 3: I have had one guest that is actually anything has
- 38:42Speaker 3: anything to do with music, because my show is about
- 38:45Speaker 3: building the community around the individuals that are in the community,
- 38:49Speaker 3: and you know, people in those communities so we can
- 38:52Speaker 3: have more control over things that our money, our finances,
- 38:57Speaker 3: are places that we live. So my whole show is
- 39:00Speaker 3: about waking up the person that's inside of you so
- 39:04Speaker 3: you can be able to purchase property in those neighborhoods
- 39:07Speaker 3: that we complain about, how.
- 39:10Speaker 4: To make changes in those neighborhoods.
- 39:12Speaker 3: We complain about how to actually learn conflict resolution, so
- 39:16Speaker 3: because if you learn conflict resolution, you can teach your
- 39:19Speaker 3: kids conflict resolution, which stops all the gun.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Violence in our streets exactly.
- 39:25Speaker 3: I want to remind people that we have controlled over
- 39:29Speaker 3: those those things. So my self care of setting those
- 39:34Speaker 3: clear boundaries allow me not to be in spaces or
- 39:37Speaker 3: places that don't resonate with what Rachel L. Gary stands for.
- 39:42Speaker 3: What I stand for is all aligned with who I am.
- 39:45Speaker 3: I'm talking leadership. If I'm on a bus, a plane,
- 39:48Speaker 3: a train, in my car, walking down the street, I
- 39:51Speaker 3: am who I am.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Twenty four to seven, seven days a week. This isn't new. Now.
- 39:56Speaker 3: What I'll say is to this point, this one small
- 39:59Speaker 3: piece that once I was a line with who Rachel
- 40:04Speaker 3: Elgary was. Once I was about the life in which
- 40:09Speaker 3: I was ready to lead.
- 40:11Speaker 4: I had a moment, a touching moment.
- 40:15Speaker 3: My youngest wrote the intro to my course, so people
- 40:20Speaker 3: enter my course. The first page is a letter from
- 40:25Speaker 3: my youngest to the actual participants in the program. It
- 40:30Speaker 3: was unsolicited in the fact of how to write it.
- 40:33Speaker 3: It was not revised. How they presented it is how
- 40:37Speaker 3: it's there.
- 40:38Speaker 4: When I read it, I'm not a cryer.
- 40:42Speaker 3: I gotta be honest. I'm not an emotional type person.
- 40:44Speaker 3: I'm a very factual person. It's just matrigated, just me,
- 40:49Speaker 3: very factual. When I read it, it brought a tear
- 40:51Speaker 3: in my eye, and that's why I had the preference
- 40:54Speaker 3: that I'm not an emotional person.
- 40:55Speaker 4: In that way.
- 40:56Speaker 3: But when I read it, I knew had done what
- 41:01Speaker 3: I set out to twenty years ago, when I was
- 41:03Speaker 3: sitting on a porch, trying to figure out how I
- 41:07Speaker 3: was gonna get my kids off of a couch when
- 41:09Speaker 3: I was only making seven dollars an hour and couldn't
- 41:11Speaker 3: even afford to pay rent somewhere. So that is how
- 41:17Speaker 3: I stay out of the spaces and places that don't
- 41:20Speaker 3: make sense, and how all of my journey comes full
- 41:23Speaker 3: circle when at the point in time, six year old
- 41:29Speaker 3: child was sitting there on the air mattress had fun
- 41:33Speaker 3: with her. Cousins had no idea we was even homeless.
- 41:35Speaker 3: They were just playing to the twenty seven year old
- 41:39Speaker 3: child who wrote a letter and it resonated with I
- 41:44Speaker 3: had done exactly what I set out to do.
- 41:49Speaker 2: And see that that brings me to the point that
- 41:52Speaker 2: I tell people, And when I first said this two
- 41:55Speaker 2: years ago, people laughed at me and didn't understand what
- 41:58Speaker 2: I missed. I'm not in spaces and places where I
- 42:01Speaker 2: don't belong simply because I tell people. If God didn't
- 42:05Speaker 2: put it on my calendar, I'm not supposed to be there,
- 42:08Speaker 2: because I'm going to be in spaces where He directs me.
- 42:12Speaker 2: So if you don't see me because you know you
- 42:14Speaker 2: get asked a question, well, when you be hiding it
- 42:16Speaker 2: I'm not hiding anywhere I'm supposed to be when I'm
- 42:20Speaker 2: supposed to be there, So you're not going to see
- 42:23Speaker 2: me in spaces where I'm not supposed to be. And
- 42:26Speaker 2: so when I said that, they laughed at me and
- 42:29Speaker 2: told me I was crazy. I said, you can call
- 42:31Speaker 2: it crazy if you want to, but I'm never going
- 42:33Speaker 2: to be in spaces where God hasn't called me to be.
- 42:36Speaker 2: And each and every person that I've had the pleasure
- 42:40Speaker 2: of doing believing the journey with as guests or otherwise,
- 42:45Speaker 2: it all brings confirmation to me that I am on
- 42:48Speaker 2: the path that God has me to be on. What
- 42:53Speaker 2: is one thing, one piece of advice that you would
- 42:56Speaker 2: leave them with tonight on how they can actually step
- 43:01Speaker 2: back from fear and step into becoming the CEO of
- 43:06Speaker 2: their own lives, and how can they get in touch
- 43:09Speaker 2: with you because they're definitely going to be reaching out
- 43:12Speaker 2: for all of these nuggets that you shared with us tonight, I.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Would say, first, fear from from my favorite favorite inspirational
- 43:22Speaker 3: leader is Lisa Nichols. Fear is fake evidence appearing in
- 43:28Speaker 3: real a when you are afraid, You are afraid of
- 43:32Speaker 3: an event that has not even happened, yet you are you.
- 43:36Speaker 4: Are afraid of something that has happened in the.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Pastus, I want to say this, where you are going
- 43:44Speaker 3: to fail, Yes, pay, pay, prepare, prepare, You're going to fail.
- 43:52Speaker 3: What you do after the failure is what makes you
- 43:55Speaker 3: great because you're gonna fail. Because I have a lesson.
- 43:59Speaker 3: I'm just two needs to happen in life. With every blessing,
- 44:02Speaker 3: I'm either winning or I'm learning.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Mm hm.
- 44:05Speaker 3: There is no failure in that. And failure is an event,
- 44:11Speaker 3: it's not a lifestyle.
- 44:13Speaker 2: Failure is a lesson.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Failure means you're moving forward towards progress. So be prepared
- 44:21Speaker 3: that you will fail and don't. And the biggest thing
- 44:24Speaker 3: is for being as we'll say about fear, fear can
- 44:29Speaker 3: can cripple you, but.
- 44:31Speaker 4: You know that you are who you say you are.
- 44:35Speaker 3: The first thing is being who you authentically are. Take
- 44:39Speaker 3: a stock of you. Start there, and as you move forward,
- 44:44Speaker 3: you're going to prepare yourself for the challenges that are
- 44:46Speaker 3: going to come your way.
- 44:48Speaker 4: See, I'm gonna speak to you about fact I'm a candid.
- 44:50Speaker 3: Individual because I'm not gonna speak to you and the
- 44:52Speaker 3: fact that nothing's gonna happen as you step forward, the
- 44:56Speaker 3: path will lay out.
- 44:57Speaker 4: It will not, It will not. Now what will happen
- 45:01Speaker 4: is a challenge? Will happen?
- 45:03Speaker 3: Are you gonna rise to it or back down from it?
- 45:06Speaker 3: That is when you are lining up with whom you are.
- 45:09Speaker 3: When you are clear. That is why you are the CEO,
- 45:12Speaker 3: because you're gonna be clear when you step forward. That's
- 45:14Speaker 3: what We're gonna take stock of who you are, take
- 45:17Speaker 3: stock of who you are and.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Who you're becoming.
- 45:20Speaker 3: So if you know that you're ready, that you want
- 45:23Speaker 3: to have a company that is worth ten million dollars
- 45:27Speaker 3: and right now you are working a job that's making
- 45:29Speaker 3: twenty five dollars, don't be afraid of your dream. Slowly
- 45:35Speaker 3: make measure steps towards your dream. So that's when you
- 45:39Speaker 3: know who you are. You know you're that ten million
- 45:41Speaker 3: dollar business owner. That's who you are. You're gonna make
- 45:44Speaker 3: steps into it. You're gonna sail along the way. You're
- 45:47Speaker 3: gonna learn lessons along the way. Those lessons will move
- 45:50Speaker 3: you closer to your goal as long as you continue
- 45:53Speaker 3: forward and start getting information that is gonna help you
- 45:56Speaker 3: find success. I am a coach. Trevida is a coach.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Most people that you are around, have to have information
- 46:04Speaker 3: is gonna help you find success. Gravitate towards them, the
- 46:09Speaker 3: people that are not on your side. And I am
- 46:11Speaker 3: I'm a firm believer in me and a basket affair
- 46:14Speaker 3: and who just child, who just checked in. We had
- 46:16Speaker 3: a conversation about this the other day. If you are
- 46:19Speaker 3: not in my quarter, to see me when you are
- 46:23Speaker 3: not in my corner at.
- 46:24Speaker 2: All, exactly.
- 46:26Speaker 3: So, sometimes it's understanding that everyone's not gonna go with you,
- 46:30Speaker 3: nor were they.
- 46:31Speaker 4: Supposed to asactly. And as you grow understand you're gonna fail.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Success is yours so long as you continue moving forward
- 46:42Speaker 3: towards it. You're not gonna have all the answers. You're
- 46:45Speaker 3: gonna get knocked down, but how you get up is
- 46:48Speaker 3: what's going to allow you to find a success building.
- 46:51Speaker 3: The CEO is one building.
- 46:53Speaker 4: Block at a time, one habit at a time, one
- 46:56Speaker 4: moment at a time. Reflect on your self care. Being
- 47:01Speaker 4: self disciplined does not.
- 47:02Speaker 3: Mean having everything figured out. It's being focused on one
- 47:06Speaker 3: thing successfully free your self esteem. Understand you are great,
- 47:14Speaker 3: You are amazing. You amazing the way you are, You're amazing.
- 47:19Speaker 3: As you stepping forward towards who you're gonna be. Your
- 47:23Speaker 3: self esteem must be aligned with you are great, the
- 47:27Speaker 3: greatness and war, the limiting beliefs, understanding the things that
- 47:33Speaker 3: in your past, the people in your past, the conversations,
- 47:37Speaker 3: just like Trereta said, are were. Sometimes those things were
- 47:40Speaker 3: meant to so they were meaning to protect you, but
- 47:44Speaker 3: sometimes they were meaning to keep you at a level
- 47:47Speaker 3: where people could be comfortable with you.
- 47:50Speaker 4: No one has to be comfortable with who you are.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Once again, from what Lisa Nichol says, there's no reason
- 47:56Speaker 3: for you the limit who you are.
- 47:58Speaker 4: You shine so right that you need shades.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Absolutely. I love that part when you.
- 48:05Speaker 4: Shine bright, So when you need shades.
- 48:07Speaker 3: And my final word, my final phrase, I just want you,
- 48:12Speaker 3: guys to be successful and successful in whatever that might
- 48:15Speaker 3: that means to you. No one can define your success
- 48:18Speaker 3: but you. I can provide tools, but my tools are
- 48:22Speaker 3: all about working with.
- 48:24Speaker 4: The CEO that is you.
- 48:26Speaker 3: So when you are clear in your actions, empowered by
- 48:28Speaker 3: your choices, and ready to own your direction, you can
- 48:31Speaker 3: reach out to me at Www. Say I am Possible
- 48:36Speaker 3: dot com. That is Www. Say I Am possible dot com.
- 48:43Speaker 3: That is what is about at the end of the day,
- 48:45Speaker 3: because that impossible doesn't exist.
- 48:47Speaker 4: The word says.
- 48:48Speaker 3: I'm possible and be up out and moving to the
- 48:53Speaker 3: greatness we all know lies within who you CEOs.
- 48:59Speaker 2: I love that. Listen. That is the best way to
- 49:02Speaker 2: put it. And you mentioned something that I have Actually
- 49:05Speaker 2: I wrote it out on a post it note a
- 49:07Speaker 2: couple months ago, and this is why I say. God
- 49:10Speaker 2: always sends everything confirmation in everything that I do, and
- 49:15Speaker 2: that is I have on my little post it note.
- 49:17Speaker 2: It says, pray, prepare, and position. Pray for what it
- 49:23Speaker 2: is you need from God, position yourself to receive it,
- 49:26Speaker 2: which means you have to prepare for everything that He's
- 49:30Speaker 2: going to bless you with, but you have to put
- 49:34Speaker 2: forth the actions and the movements to get it done.
- 49:37Speaker 2: I want to thank you so much for being here
- 49:39Speaker 2: with me tonight because you gave me some nuggets and
- 49:42Speaker 2: some things that I can find tune for myself. Because
- 49:46Speaker 2: you gotta pray, prepare, and position for whatever it is
- 49:50Speaker 2: that God has for you. Now, this is how I
- 49:53Speaker 2: close out my show. If you've ever been a part
- 49:56Speaker 2: of if you've ever watched the show, you know this
- 49:59Speaker 2: is what I say, and that is stay out of
- 50:02Speaker 2: God's business. The only thing God needs you to do
- 50:05Speaker 2: is be obedient to what He's called you to do.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Because God is God all by himself, He doesn't need
- 50:11Speaker 2: anything from us, he doesn't need our instructions, he doesn't
- 50:15Speaker 2: need anything except for obedience. So I thank you guys
- 50:19Speaker 2: for tuning in tonight. I will be back on the
- 50:22Speaker 2: twenty fourth, and I will have the Ladies of Sacred
- 50:26Speaker 2: Seeds of Wisdom. It is the second group of ladies
- 50:30Speaker 2: who have made this book an amazing project. I am
- 50:34Speaker 2: honored to be part of that with doctor Carolyn. She's
- 50:37Speaker 2: the visionary of that book. And when I tell you y'all,
- 50:41Speaker 2: I've just gotten through the first few pages of that
- 50:43Speaker 2: book and I did not want to put it down.
- 50:46Speaker 2: So tune in come Thursday, July twenty fourth at eight pm.
- 50:52Speaker 2: I will be back.
- 50:52Speaker 4: Now.
- 50:53Speaker 2: Remember, stay out of God's business. The only thing he
- 50:55Speaker 2: needs you to do is be obedient to what he
- 50:57Speaker 2: called you to do.
- 50:58Speaker 4: Then I
