Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your eard of what he prays. Party.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for
- 0:06Speaker 2: today's word. Go where God guides, Go where God guides.
- 0:13Speaker 2: First Kings seventeen two through four says, Then the word
- 0:17Speaker 2: of the Lord came to Elijah. Leave here, turn eastward
- 0:21Speaker 2: and hide, and the Chara ravene east of the Jordan.
- 0:25Speaker 2: You will drink from the brook, and I have directed
- 0:28Speaker 2: the ravens to supply you with food there. One of
- 0:32Speaker 2: the greatest acts of faith is learning to trust God's
- 0:35Speaker 2: direction even when it doesn't make sense. When the prophet
- 0:39Speaker 2: Elijah declared that there would be no rain because of
- 0:42Speaker 2: Israel's rebellion, he immediately became a target.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Yet before the danger could.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Overtake him, God had already prepared a plan for his
- 0:50Speaker 2: protection and provision. God didn't simply promise to take care
- 0:55Speaker 2: of Elijah wherever he chose to go. He gave him
- 0:58Speaker 2: a very specific instruction. He said, go to the brook Carath.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Notice something powerful. God had already arranged the miracle before
- 1:08Speaker 2: Elijah ever arrived. Y'all, the brook was there, the water
- 1:11Speaker 2: was there. Even the ravens have been commanded to bring
- 1:15Speaker 2: him food everything Elijah needed was waiting in the place
- 1:18Speaker 2: where God told him to be. The miracle wasn't just
- 1:22Speaker 2: in the provision.
- 1:23Speaker 1: The miracle was in Elijah's obedience.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Had Elijah decided to stay where he was because it
- 1:30Speaker 2: felt more familiar or because it seemed more logical, he
- 1:34Speaker 2: would have missed the very provision.
- 1:36Speaker 1: God had prepared for him.
- 1:38Speaker 2: His blessing was connected to his willingness to old bay God.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Well, the same principle is true today.
- 1:46Speaker 2: See sometimes God asked us to leave behind what has
- 1:50Speaker 2: become comfortable. It may be a relationship that continually pulls
- 1:54Speaker 2: us away from Him, an unhealthy habit that keeps us stuck,
- 1:59Speaker 2: a negative and by that drains our faith, or even
- 2:01Speaker 2: a season that has already served his purpose.
- 2:04Speaker 1: While he may, we may.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Hesitate because change feels uncertain for us. God sees what
- 2:11Speaker 2: we can't see. He knows where the brook is, He
- 2:14Speaker 2: knows where the opportunities are waiting. He knows which doors
- 2:18Speaker 2: need to close so better ones can open. Delayed obedience
- 2:23Speaker 2: can become delayed blessings. When the Holy Spirit gently nudges
- 2:28Speaker 2: your heart. Don't spend so much time analyzing that you
- 2:31Speaker 2: miss the opportunity of obey. God's instructions may stretch your faith,
- 2:37Speaker 2: but they are always rooted in His love and his
- 2:39Speaker 2: desire to lead you and to his best. Today, ask yourself,
- 2:44Speaker 2: is there something God has been asking me to do
- 2:46Speaker 2: that I've been putting off? Perhaps your next breakthrough isn't
- 2:49Speaker 2: found in staying where you've always been, but in courageously
- 2:53Speaker 2: taking the next step He's placed before you. Where God
- 2:56Speaker 2: God's he provides, where he leaves, his grace follows, and
- 3:00Speaker 2: where he calls you, his blessing is already gone before
- 3:03Speaker 2: you to meet you there. Heavenly Father, thank you, Thank
- 3:07Speaker 2: you that you always know what we need, even before
- 3:10Speaker 2: we ask.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Thank you for.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Preparing places of protection, provision, and.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Purpose long before we arrive.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Oh, help us to trust your voice above our fears,
- 3:19Speaker 2: above our doubts, above our own understanding. Give us courage
- 3:23Speaker 2: to obey quickly, even when we can't see the whole picture.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Lead us God away from anything that hinders your best
- 3:31Speaker 2: for our lives, and goide us into the place that
- 3:34Speaker 2: you prepare for us. God, we believe that as we
- 3:36Speaker 2: follow you, your favor, your provision, your peace will meet
- 3:40Speaker 2: us every step of the way. In Jesus' name. Now,
- 3:43Speaker 2: that's your word for today. Take it apply to your
- 3:45Speaker 2: everyday life, and you continue to be encouraged and inspired.
- 3:48Speaker 2: That's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie.
