So today I thought we'd go somewhere much more fun — an Italian pub. Luna: Oh, I like that. A pub! What are we ordering? Lucas: Let's start simple. If you want a glass of red wine, you say: un bicchiere di vino rosso. Luna: Un bicchiere di vino rosso. Lucas: Perfect. Un bicchiere di vino rosso. Let's hear that again — un bicchiere di vino rosso. Luna: Un bicchiere di vino rosso. Lucas: Great. Now, what about a draft beer? That's: una birra alla spina. Luna: Una birra alla spina. That sounds good. Lucas: Exactly. Una birra alla spina. And if you want a cocktail, it's: un cocktail. Luna: Un cocktail. Nice and easy. Lucas: Yes. So you can walk up to the bartender and say: un bicchiere di vino rosso, per favore. Or una birra alla spina, per favore. Or un cocktail, per favore. Luna: Okay, so I could say: un cocktail, per favore. Lucas: Exactly. Now, at the end, when you want to pay, you say: Il conto, per favore. Luna: Il conto, per favore. Lucas: And when you leave, a nice thing to say is: Buona serata. Luna: Buona serata. That means 'good evening' or 'have a nice evening,' right? Lucas: Exactly. Buona serata. So let's go through the whole scenario. You walk into the pub, maybe you say: Buona serata. Then you order: un bicchiere di vino rosso, per favore. The bartender brings it. Later you want to pay, so you say: Il conto, per favore. And as you leave: Buona serata again. Luna: Okay, let me try. Buona serata. Un bicchiere di vino rosso, per favore. Then later: Il conto, per favore. And then: Buona serata again. Lucas: That's perfect, Luna. You're ready for an Italian pub. Luna: Thanks!
