• 0:00
Good morning, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. I'm the host, Angel Santana.
• 0:07
Today's episode is one of the hardest I've ever recorded, and is also one of the most important.
• 0:13
We're talking about bullying, and not in theory, not in headlines, but in real life.
• 0:20
The kind that changes a child's behavior, steals their confidence,
• 0:24
and leaves parents lying awake at night, wondering if they're doing enough.
• 0:30
Before I go any further, I want to be very clear.
• 0:35
This episode is not about naming schools, children, or individuals. It's about awareness.
• 0:43
It's about faith. And it's about hope.
• 0:47
If you're a parent who has watched your child change, if you're a child who
• 0:53
feels scared to speak up, this episode is for you.
• 0:58
Have faith, let it begin. Start right now.
• 1:03
Bullying isn't just teasing. It's not kids being kids.
• 1:09
Bullying is repeated behavior meant to hurt, intimidate, or control someone.
• 1:15
  Emotionally, verbally, or physically.
• 1:20
And sometimes bullying doesn't look loud. Sometimes it looks like a child who
• 1:26
stops raising their hand, a child who suddenly doesn't finish work,
• 1:31
a child who loved school and now dreads it.
• 1:35
When a child changes, something is speaking through that change.
• 1:41
If you're a parent listening, let me say this clearly.
• 1:45
You're not imagining it. You're not being dramatic. And you're not wrong for asking questions.
• 1:53
When your child's behavior shifts, it's not defiance. It's communication.
• 1:59
Our job as parents is not just to raise good students. It's to protect hearts.
• 2:06
And if you're a kid listening right now, I want you to hear me.
• 2:10
What's happening to you is not your fault. You are not weak.
• 2:14
You are not a tattletale for asking for help.
• 2:18
Being brave doesn't mean being silent. Being brave means telling someone you trust.
• 2:24
In the Bible, Jesus made it very clear that children matter.
• 2:29
Their safety matters. Their Their dignity matters.
• 2:33
Their voices matter. Standing up for a child is not confrontation.
• 2:39
  It's love in action.
• 2:41
Advocacy is not anger. Advocacy is faith with courage.
• 2:47
I want to speak to the parent who feels unheard right now. You are allowed to ask for meetings.
• 2:54
You are allowed to ask for written plans. You are allowed to ask for accountability.
• 3:00
And you're allowed to ask again. You are not that parent.
• 3:04
You are the parent. And your child needs to keep showing up.
• 3:10
Your child needs to keep showing up.
• 3:16
Bullying does not get the final word. Fear does not get the final word.
• 3:22
Silence does not get the final word.
• 3:25
Healing is possible. Change is possible. And community matters.
• 3:31
If this episode has helped you, please share it with someone who needs to hear it.
• 3:37
Because you matter. Your child matters.
• 3:40
And never forget, have faith, let it begin.
