- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Bobaccouth Podcast, and I'm Miguel Amber.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: I'm just a Proverbs 31 woman empowering women to step into their on-the-fire for the Lord mentality.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: I encourage us to live out our faith, to grow, and to believe in the calling that God has for us.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: My vision is to help women break the chains of their past of inner struggles and fears to create new chapters that only our Father can write for us.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: I'm on a mission and passion to empower you and all the women out there.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: This is going to be your new favorite podcast for daily devotionals and Bible study chats.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Hey guys, welcome back.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Today is episode 30 of the podcast.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: And so if you don't already know, every 10th episode I decided that I was going to have somebody share their testimony.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Obviously, you know that if you clicked on it and it says the title of somebody's testimony today.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Excuse me for that.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: But yeah, so before we start, uh I just always have to start in prayer before we get started.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Dear Heavenly Father, I just am so thankful for this podcast.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: I'm so thankful for every single listener that I have, Father.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: And I just lift them up to you.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: And I just pray that during this moment, wherever they are listening, that they have an open heart, that they have an open mind, that they are ready to receive your word.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: And I just pray that this testimony today moves their faith, Father, and just brings them closer to you.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Um, before I get started, um, I just want to make sure I like cover this before we get into it.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Um, I know I've said it said it a bunch of times before.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: I don't know why I can't talk today.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: It's been too long since I've recorded an episode and it's showing.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: Um, my prayer requests.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: If you ever have any prayer requests, I really do highly encourage you um in the show notes below.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: I think I should just like completely like start this over and try again.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Let me reboot.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Alright, that one's better.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: I have a prayer request form that you can click on in the show notes below.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Um, that you can click on, and I would love to actually connect with you.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: It has a thing on there.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: You can tell me your name, or you don't have to if you don't want to.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: You just tell me what um, you know, what you want me to pray for, and I can pray for you.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: And then if you are open and willing, you can add your phone number or your email or whatever um form of communication, which is really awesome.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: I've connected with people that way where they leave their phone number and it's really great.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Um, then I can send a voice recorder, we can actually chat on the phone and um just kind of you know make that connection and fellowship.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: So it's really awesome to do that.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: And I highly encourage you if you ever have any prayer requests to um send that in the chat.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Um so today is my mom's testimony, that's who Kristen is.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Um, and she is here to share her Jesus story and her testimony about how the Lord has changed her life.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Um, so I'm gonna go ahead and let her actually talk so I can actually shut my yapper for once and let somebody else tell me about their life.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: So um here she is.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: Hey guys, so I don't know how to do any of this either, but um oh gosh, I'm just so nervous.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Um so I'm excited to tell you guys about my walk with the Lord.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Um when I was a kid, my kids and I mean my mom, not my kids, when my parents took me and my siblings to church, and um, it was more of a Catholic church, and I um did some things in the church, like I was an accolade.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure if anyone knows what that is, but I was an accolade and we and I learned like the Lord's Prayer and um we had like Sunday school and um things like that, but it was more along the lines of just a we sort of had to go, like it was a thing that we were like supposed to do or you know, whatever.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: But then we would get home and you know, just go on about our daily lives and everything without um keeping God in it, I guess.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: It was sort of I realized later on in life that it was more just a something that we just something part of our day or something part of our week that we scheduled every Sunday or whatever.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: It wasn't really like a a relationship with the Lord, and um then later on in my life I got married and my ex-husband had kind of brought me back to the Lord, but it brought me back as like a Baptist instead of Catholic, and so I learned a lot differently at that point.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: I um learned how to have a relationship with the Lord and what it meant for Jesus to be the Son of God, and I just learned differently than what I had learned as a kid.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: Then um unfortunately I um kind of fell off because I got a divorce, and so I kind of blamed the I blamed God, I blamed um myself.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: I was like, how in the world could you know this happen to me?
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: Um I got married to be married for the rest of my life.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: I didn't think I was gonna ever gonna get a divorce.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: And um so I sort of felt very far from God because it was because I was so hurt and so like I felt like I let God down, you know, I made this vow to God and my husband and everybody who was around me um that I was, you know, I made this like incredible vow of life and I felt like I didn't stick to it.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: So I felt like I was letting God down, but I was also angry at God because I at that time I felt that God let that happen.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: And it I learned later it wasn't God that let that happen.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: Um it was our fault for not staying with God and not staying in our relationship with him to keep him the center of our relationship, and that's what happened.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: It wasn't it wasn't God's fault at all.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: Anyway, so um for a little while I was kind of far from God.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: I didn't want to go to church, I felt like an outsider, I didn't want to show my face, and I didn't want like I just felt really far.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: And um my two daughters, Hannah actually, I think she's done a podcast on here before, um, about her testimony.
- 7:49SPEAKER_01: Um she got me to go back to church with her.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: Um, and I saw the Lord it working in her life, and then I really saw the Lord working in Amber's life, um, because Amber's life completely changed.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: And when I saw Amber's life completely change, it made me want to change as well.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: It was like an inspiration.
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: And um I learned over the past couple years that that was the little seed that was being planted, and like unfortunately, you know, we all had to go through some craziness.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: Like it's weird how our lives you end up having to go through the worst almost.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: Like, you end up having to go through you have a story, you have uh a struggle, you have a rock bottom, you have a whatever you want to call it.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: Everybody goes through something like that, and unfortunately, it usually takes that struggle to realize that you need God in your life, that you want God in your life, that you want to have I'm gonna get emotional, that you wanna have that love, that unconditional love and support.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: And um my biological dad wasn't there for me.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: And um so I always wanted I I always felt abandoned by my my biological dad.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: And then I never really had like a very emotional supportive relationship with my stepdad, who I do consider my dad.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: Um not in a way of like unconditional love or like you know, yes, he raised me and saw me go through things and stuff, but um it was it's just different.
- 10:07SPEAKER_01: And I finally wanted and craved that unconditional love from God, and I knew that he would be my father, he is my father, he is the one that will never let me down, he is the one that will never abandon me, he's the only one, the only one in my life.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: I really like that you're touching on the fact that he brought you back, but that he brought you back so differently, he brought you back that now he's your father, and that he, you know, it it went from a belief, it went from a Christianity, it went from a social acceptance, it went from a um a hobby, it went from a you know, a thing you just do.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: You know, yeah, it went from a thing you just do and and then it turned into something better, and and that's just how beautiful God is, that he turned into a relationship.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and he and I love I just love that you touch on the fact that he is your father and that he showed you how to have and accept that unconditional love and how that you know he can be that father that truthfully all of us never had, right?
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Like even if you had a even if you had a great dad, right?
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Like the Lord as a dad is just going right, like I'm not bashing anybody's dad, right?
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: Like I'm sure some people have a great dad, but amount of fatherhood.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Yes, and I just love that you touch on that because I think so many of us can relate to that, and I also just think that so many of us don't talk about that enough that um excuse me.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: That was embarrassing, so bad embarrassing, anyways.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Um, that it's not talked about enough that the Lord when you know he brings us back in a relationship that he heals our wounds and becomes our dad.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Or our as my pastor at church says it, which is so weird, he's like, my daddy.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: I don't know about daddy, but um I uh my turning point I guess would be I I think it was when Hannah started to bring me to church and then um when I saw I was just rambling, sorry guys, but um I um when I saw that I wanted to make a change, then my um I was just recently baptized and I decided to rededicate my life to God in a in a in another dimension, another way.
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: I don't want to say dimension, that sounds kind of funky, but um, like just in another way.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: I wanted to show him and be with him and start my life completely over born again with him and only him and so um oh gosh.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: I can't even begin to tell you how many things my God has done for me.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Um I just recently technically lost my house, my car, my job, everything all at one time, and um although it was hard, I never felt alone.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: I never felt abandon abandoned.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: I knew that God was never gonna leave me, and people can say all the time, you know, oh you had to sell your house or whatever.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: But I saw it as a positive because not only was I able to sell my house, but it like I was able to sell it before it went into foreclosure.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: So I technically didn't lose it.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: God let me sell it, He let me have and you know, gain some proceeds and equity from it, and um He taught me lessons on, you know, it's a lesson on how to manage my money better and um relationships and everything in my life, like just it just changed everything and um I'm still here, he's still with me.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: I um one of the biggest things was my I hate crying.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: One of the biggest things was my little beautiful angel baby who was born seven months ago.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: Um her granddaughter bought the baby.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: My grandbaby, sorry.
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: When I say angel baby, I call yeah.
- 15:35SPEAKER_01: I thought how many of you are like wait a minute, your mom had a baby.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: I know, sorry, sorry.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: No, I call her my angel baby.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: She is my grandbaby, she's Amber's daughter, Aubrey.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: Um but the day that little girl was born, just I can't even describe it.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: I don't even know how to describe that.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: Those bright blue eyes and that little tiny smile and her happiness, her aura, her radiance of God's love.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: Like, I just know she's could only be from him.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: And um I can't describe how I know that.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: I just know that, and I know that she is here to bless me, Amber, our family, and thousands, thousands, thousands of others, and bring them to God.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: And I just I don't know.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: I just keep rambling about random things.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: No, but you're you're grateful.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: Like I'm so grateful for her.
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: I'm so grateful that God has kept me afloat.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: He has never let me fail.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: He made sure that I didn't, you know, technically lose the house.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: He made sure that, yes, even though I didn't have a car for a little bit, I just recently got a car.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: So, like everything that has happened has there, I've been able to see the positive and the outcome that is actually the blessing from God instead of think of it like it's a bad thing.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: Like some people think, okay, so an example would be like you're if you're late when you're going somewhere, you're like, oh my gosh, I'm so late.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: I gotta hurry up, I gotta hurry up, I gotta hurry up.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: But I God has shown me that when you're late like that, it's because he needs you to be late, he wants you to be late, he's protecting you, he's protecting you from something.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: Either he's protecting you from like an accident that was about to happen, or just happened, or whatever, so you can miss it, so you wouldn't be a part of it.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: Or, you know, everything is meant to happen on his time, his terms, his way, his plan, and just I don't even know how to describe.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: I don't know how to describe it.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: I want to touch on your testimony.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: I want to touch on your test on your on the things that the Lord has done in her life recently.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: And she's been kind of mentioning um, you know, um losing her house and you know, losing her car, and she honestly has had honestly at one point kind of lost everything.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: She um got a job and then her job filed bankruptcy, and they basically were like, That's your problem, sorry.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: And um, so she definitely was at a point where like they honestly the devil had taken everything from her.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: And honestly, she reminds me, I don't know if if any of if you know, but if you've ever heard the story of Job, um, and my mom reminds me a lot of of Job because the devil continued to attack Job until he took everything from him, and the Lord stayed with Job the entire time, but Job stayed with the Lord the entire time, and so that just reminds me so much of my mom because throughout that entire season, throughout all of that, my mom stayed faithful in the Lord and stayed close to the Lord and given her past as the testimony she was giving, and and I actually didn't know that you blamed God back for the divorce.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: I knew that you strayed away from the Lord, but I honestly didn't know that like that much about it, other than that.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: But you know, given your past of everything that you've been through through that, and the fact that you didn't repeat history, that you didn't repeat that, and you didn't say, No, okay, you know, everything that's happened to me is God's fault, or you know, that you didn't lose faith, but you continued to keep your faith.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: And not only did she continue to keep her faith, but she her faith got 10 times stronger.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: And through all of that, the Lord continued to give her fruit and to bless her in the junk.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: Through losing her house, she was able to sell it, and you know, she was blessed with money to be able to walk away.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: You know, who can you sit there and say that somebody who's losing their house, only God can turn somebody losing their house into saying, not only do you sell it, but here's money that you get to put in your pocket now that you get to walk away with.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: And and here, you know, yes, you've lost your house, but you know what, you get to live with your grandbaby, you get to, and so he just has continued over and over and over again that even though she has seen nothing but darkness, she is the exact example of when the Lord says that he is the light in the darkness and he has been the light in her darkness, and especially recently, that she holds on to that light, and I just have to give her honor and and props for that.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: That even as nasty as it got, and as nasty as the storm got, and as nasty as it looked sometimes, she didn't waver in her faith.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: And even though we all have days where we worry, you know, she knew at the end of the day that the Lord was going to provide, and because of that faith that she had that the Lord was always going to provide, he did, and he continues to provide and he continues to show up.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna say right this very segment, she got a new car, and then recently something went wrong on the car.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: But guess what?
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: Something went wrong on the car and she didn't have to pay for it.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: It was paid for, it was covered, right?
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: And so there is so much that he continues to bless her and he continues to give her fruit, and it just goes to show how much her life has changed and how powerful her faith is, and you know how strong that relationship is.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: Um so I think um we're gonna wrap up here.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Um, but before we go I um sorry for rambling.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: No, no, it's not rambling.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: Ever um I were here to talk about your story about the Lord and to get raw and to talk about the hard, ugly truths and to get emotional and like to be true and to be relatable and to talk about the real crap that people go through.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: So many people you know, they talk about the fun stuff, or they talk about the cool stuff, or they talk about the fluffy stuff, or they talk about you know, but they don't talk about the ugly, and so I I absolutely love that's why I said I think every tenth episode is a new testimony, because there's nothing better than listening to someone's job what God did.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: What God did for somebody.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: Um but I am gonna wrap up and um before I actually pray and close us out, I want to open the opportunity that if you are ever interested in sharing your testimony, that you please email me.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Um my email is your biblegal at gmail.com when you type that in.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: There's also the link in the show notes if you don't know how to spell it.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: But it's it's just like my podcast.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: It's your Bible gal, so it's G-A-L-Gal, not girl.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Um, just to clarify that, so you don't spell it wrong.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Um, but if you are interested in sharing your testimony, I would absolutely love to, you know, be able to bring you on and just for you to tell uh your story about how Jesus has changed your life.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: Um and before we go, I just want to close us out in prayer.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for this opportunity.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: And I just lift up every single listener to you, Father, and I just pray that wherever they are right now, or wherever, if they're driving, that they get home safely, wherever they are, that they they get home safely.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: And if they're home, Father, then I just pray that you keep them safe for the rest of their day.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: I just lift every single one of them up to you, and I just um ask and pray over protection over all of them that their faith continues to grow, that they continue to have that fire for the Lord faith, that they continue to be encouraged by this testimony to want to be more, to do more, to just have that fire in their hearts that says that they want to go out and to tell everybody about Jesus and what they have done, um, you know, and what how you've done in their life.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: And so I just pray that over all of them today.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: All right, thank you guys so much for listening, and I will catch you guys on the next episode.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: I promise I will get back to my twice-a-week um uploads.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: I know I've been so terrible with it, um, but I promise I'm getting better.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: I literally typed up like two, three episodes worth of notes today.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: So um I'm gonna be better about that, I promise.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: Alright, guys, see you on what's today?
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Monday.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for listening to today's episode.

- 25:17SPEAKER_00: And remember, sisters, walk boldly in faith this week.
