- 0:30Now let's get into the episode. Hello everyone and welcome back
- 0:34to the Doctor Randy show. I'm your host, Doctor Randy
- 0:37Boyett. Today we are stepping outside
- 0:40the usual conversation and getting into what everyone's
- 0:43talking about, but not what everyone's saying out loud.
- 0:46This is beauty scene and today we are joined by Larsa Pippen,
- 0:52one of the most recognizable faces from the Real Housewives
- 0:55of Miami and Debbie Berman, socialite and philanthropist and
- 1:00my Co host for all of these conversations.
- 1:03Hi. Hey guys, I'm super excited to
- 1:06be here with you guys today. I love everything that you talk
- 1:09about. It's amazing, Randy.
- 1:11Thank you ladies so much. This is our first edition of the
- 1:15Beauty Scene and excited to jump into some hot topics.
- 1:19So first topic that I'd like to talk about that I'm seeing are
- 1:23the celebrity facelift trends, right?
- 1:27Not just the facelift, but the transparency that we're suddenly
- 1:32seeing. It used to be very taboo, like
- 1:35people would suddenly just come out of hiding and be perfect and
- 1:41we didn't understand why. But now we're posting it
- 1:44everywhere. You know, we're coming out and
- 1:46saying I just had $200,000 facelift, look at my new face.
- 1:50And I think it's kind of refreshing that we can talk
- 1:55about it. I think that, you know, what is
- 1:58this? Is this that celebrities are
- 1:59more comfortable being honest now, or are they controlling the
- 2:02narrative better? Like what do we think is
- 2:05happening here? That this transparency is
- 2:07suddenly OK? Well, I think for so many years
- 2:10it's been frowned upon to get facelifts, and we're finally
- 2:13stepping into a time where facelifts are now the thing to
- 2:17do and more acceptable in society.
- 2:19I think it's a really exciting time because I think we're
- 2:22turning back the time of aging, and I think it's great.
- 2:26I was just looking at the age of The Golden Girls, right?
- 2:29So when we look at that, Blanche was actually 51 years old when
- 2:33she was on the TV. So I love that we look at 51 now
- 2:38and we say, wow, these women look amazing.
- 2:41And I think it's a really exciting time.
- 2:43Agreed. What do you think, Larsa?
- 2:45You know, I think with the whole GLP ones and all the weight
- 2:48losses that everyone is doing basically is having to force
- 2:52people to have facelifts at a much earlier age.
- 2:56Everyone's looking thinner. And I think when you're losing a
- 2:58lot of weight, it affects the way your face looks.
- 3:02And so I definitely think that that's contributed to the craze
- 3:06for facelifts. Everybody wants to look good.
- 3:08Everybody wants to be skinny. This is a time where, you know,
- 3:11everyone looks skinny, everyone wants to look good.
- 3:13And I think that's kind of where we are in today's society.
- 3:17And I think a lot of people are over fillers.
- 3:19You know, I think fillers had his day.
- 3:21And doctors just basically feel like they can get you the best
- 3:25results by having a mini facelift, even starting 35.
- 3:28Like I have friends that are 35 years old that are literally
- 3:31booking facelifts like mini facelifts.
- 3:34I look at that and I'm like, is it preventative or I'm all for
- 3:38it? But I mean as some people get it
- 3:40as early as 35 and then you have others that wait till they're
- 3:42like 80. So I wonder what?
- 3:44You want to wait too long because then everyone will know
- 3:46and you won't have great results.
- 3:48I think sooner you do it, you have more elasticity in your
- 3:51skin. It'll you'll bounce.
- 3:52Yeah. I think that's what looks like.
- 3:53A fresher version of you. But I do think there's like a
- 3:56sweet spot, right, Debbie? Like I feel like for our friends
- 3:59that are kind of going through this, is it like 40-5 ish?
- 4:02Like isn't that the norm 45? I think around here it is, but I
- 4:05know certain states there's women doing it in their early
- 4:0830s like you said, and it's completely acceptable and you
- 4:13don't notice it as much when you do it younger.
- 4:15So that's the benefit of doing it younger, but.
- 4:18I'm all becoming. I'm all about looking better.
- 4:21So it's going to make you look better.
- 4:22Do it. Exactly.
- 4:24I think the consensus over the last year with a lot of the
- 4:29plastic surgeons we've had on the show, they say like the
- 4:32sweet spot is the early 50s, right?
- 4:35And if you don't do it, then it's a much more difficult lift.
- 4:37But I do think that people are starting younger and I think
- 4:40it's a more acceptable conversation.
- 4:42It's interesting the trend because we went through several
- 4:46years where people were just filling their entire face up
- 4:50instead of having a facelift, and now the facelift has become
- 4:54the trend. I mean, I think people are
- 4:56actually getting their face dissolved these days.
- 4:58And you know, when I see my doctor, she's like, well, now
- 5:02we're stepping out. Now people are coming in for the
- 5:04opposite. So I think it's really cool that
- 5:06we're going from all this filler to now dissolving and we're
- 5:11moving towards the facelift. And of course there's lasers.
- 5:14And I love that there's so many different options and I think
- 5:19the biggest thing is to just educate yourself and learn how
- 5:22they all work. I don't think it's one I.
- 5:24Also think we didn't know 10 years ago.
- 5:26We didn't know that fillers last forever.
- 5:30Yeah, yeah. Thought that you know you're
- 5:31doing this is going to last in your face for six months and
- 5:34then Fast forward 10 years later it moves, it transitions it's
- 5:38got. It also makes you right.
- 5:40Well, I think too, like we're putting all this filler in our
- 5:42face and then all of a sudden our faces got huge because
- 5:46you're producing collagen. It's doing what it's supposed to
- 5:49do, but it takes years to do that, right?
- 5:52So I think you wake up one day and go, whoa, it's too much.
- 5:55And we start going the opposite direction now.
- 5:57Something that I didn't realize is we had Doctor NASA found the
- 6:02show a few weeks ago when we were talking about facelifts and
- 6:05he was saying that he really prefers that people do dissolve
- 6:10the filler before the facelift because how can you really tell
- 6:15what is needed unless you're kind of working with a clean
- 6:19canvas there? And I've kind of asked that
- 6:21question more often. And that comes up a lot that I
- 6:25think surgeons do prefer that we dissolve filler first before we
- 6:28do surgery. And I think that's really smart.
- 6:31It is, but I feel like a lot of people think that they've
- 6:33dissolved the product and when you have a facelift, when you
- 6:36lift it, it migrates. So I definitely think an
- 6:39ultrasound is very beneficial. If you're going to spend the
- 6:42time, energy, and money on having a facelift, you should
- 6:45probably invest in an ultrasound to see exactly where the filler
- 6:48is and if it's migrated and try to dissolve as much as you can
- 6:52because you can't really see it just from looking at it or
- 6:54touching it. I think it's like deeper than
- 6:56most people think. Absolutely, I've had mine
- 7:00dissolved in some different places.
- 7:02Have you had that done? I have, I'm all about dissolving
- 7:05now because I think it got to a point where filler was just way
- 7:08too much and you start to see it and your face looks fat, like it
- 7:12looks too much. And I started dissolving.
- 7:16Debbie, you wake up one day and you're like, Oh my gosh.
- 7:19And then you start to see yourself in pictures and no one
- 7:22else looks like that, right? So you're like, hey, what's
- 7:24going? On Oh, they look like that.
- 7:25Last week they look like that. Last week, OK, Then the second
- 7:30you get dissolved. But it is a balance, right?
- 7:33So like maybe you need filler, maybe you need threads, maybe
- 7:36you just need a good laser. It's all about a balance.
- 7:39And I think knowing and educating yourself is the
- 7:41biggest thing because there's so many options out there and you
- 7:44just have to know. Like I'll step in my doctor's
- 7:47office and I will know exactly what I need because I love this
- 7:50stuff. So I learn about it and it's
- 7:52about a balance. So let's talk about a few of
- 7:55these celebrity facelifts that we've seen that really started
- 7:59this trend. I think first we started with
- 8:02Kris Jenner, which I think was one of the most phenomenal
- 8:05facelifts we've all seen. And she was very transparent
- 8:09about what she spent on it. And she went from, I mean, I
- 8:13don't really think she ever looked her age to begin with,
- 8:16but she really wiped out 20 years and it looked phenomenal.
- 8:21Of course, I've been seeing now on social media that she's now
- 8:24upset that she's saying maybe the facelift is already falling.
- 8:27I don't know. Who knows if that's just fake
- 8:29news, but nevertheless, I think we're always striving for things
- 8:34that are impossible. Then I saw Denise Richards, Lori
- 8:37Loughlin, those are some that just also recently came out and
- 8:41very openly talking about their procedures and facelifts.
- 8:44How do we feel about this? What do we think about?
- 8:46I think Kris Jenner paid maybe over $250,000 for a facelift.
- 8:51What do you think about all of that?
- 8:53Well, that doctor is booked. Yes, he is.
- 8:57I think his name is like Levine and Dr. Levine.
- 9:00Yes he is booked and busy. His roster is insane.
- 9:05I know so many people that have used him.
- 9:07That just goes to show you that the trend for facelifts, when
- 9:10have you ever heard of a $300,000 facelift?
- 9:13You guys like, that's crazy. So yeah, if I had a facelift and
- 9:18spent $300,000 and I wasn't happy with the results, I too
- 9:21would be upset. The downtime, the expenses, the,
- 9:25you know, just the commitment to do it.
- 9:28But I feel like a lot of people need to be realistic.
- 9:30Just because you have a facelift doesn't necessarily mean it's
- 9:33going to last forever, you know? Again, she's also 70 years old
- 9:37and at that moment it's not going to last as long.
- 9:40Your skin loses elastin and it doesn't last as long as you
- 9:44think. Like is if you were in your 40s.
- 9:47I also heard that Doctor Levine loves to do the facelift.
- 9:52That's not deep tissue. The deep plane.
- 9:55He likes to do the other one that's not deep plane.
- 9:58What is that one called Debbie, do you know I'm talking about?
- 10:00There wasn't a term for it. It's his technique, is what they
- 10:05said. You have to really excavate in
- 10:07your face to get all the muscles and everything to stay up.
- 10:11Like, you can't just, if you just do the surface, it doesn't
- 10:13really last, you know, And it's like if you're committing, you
- 10:17must feel like if I'm going to be down for a month, I rather
- 10:21just do it. Just do it the right way, Dr.
- 10:23Levine, do it the right way. I'm OK with a little more
- 10:26downtime, but I want the results to last, you know, I think
- 10:29that's the most important thing, especially when you're spending
- 10:32that kind of money. You guys, I heard allegedly, I
- 10:35don't know, but I heard he did Brad Pitt, He looks great and
- 10:38it's been a couple years. From what I've heard he looks
- 10:41amazing. And I think people have a
- 10:43misconception just because you get a facelift, you don't have
- 10:45to do anything. You know, you still have to keep
- 10:48up, still have to do Botox, you still have to use great skin
- 10:51care. You still have to do laser,
- 10:54laser, laser, laser, lasers forever.
- 10:56And that's the misconception is that people think, oh, well, I'm
- 10:59tired of spending all this money on all these things, but you
- 11:02still have to do it. You got to keep up with it.
- 11:06Kris Jenner looks great to me. I think she looks gorgeous.
- 11:08You know, she's got great elasticity.
- 11:10She's got great bone structure. So, you know, I don't know what
- 11:14people are talking about. She looks great.
- 11:16I do think we live in kind of the filter phase of life, right?
- 11:21Everybody's filtering their photos.
- 11:23I'm kind of glad that I grew up in a time where filters and
- 11:26social media weren't a thing, because it has to be exhausting
- 11:31to try to keep up with that as you're growing up, right?
- 11:34Where everybody's perfect. But I think these filters are
- 11:38making people come in and ask for unrealistic expectations
- 11:42when they're having plastic surgery.
- 11:43That's not even a thing. It's a filter, right?
- 11:46I think it's a lot. I'll look.
- 11:46Back at some of my pictures, I'm like, wow, that was a a really
- 11:48good picture. Oh, I filtered.
- 11:50You know, so you just don't know what the real thing is.
- 11:54Oh, is that what you think Debbie?
- 11:55When I look at old photos that are filtered, I think, Oh my
- 11:58God, I was eating like three oranges a day.
- 12:01Literally all the vitamin CI was getting.
- 12:03Yes, yes. I think another notable facelift
- 12:08and transformation was Demi Moore, right?
- 12:10I mean. She looks amazing, I want to
- 12:12know what she's doing. Yeah.
- 12:14All of it. Debbie, she's doing.
- 12:16You name it, she's doing it. Yes, I did see a recent video of
- 12:21her where she was very, very thin, like the GLP ones
- 12:24sometimes I think go a little too far where they had like all
- 12:27the bones showing, you know, from different angles.
- 12:30And Larsa, to your point, I think the GLP ones have changed
- 12:35the way we look at things because everybody's trying the
- 12:38GLP ones, I think it's one in eight people in this country are
- 12:41on the GLP ones and it is changing.
- 12:43You know, people's faces are kind of sagging.
- 12:46We have to then do treatments to uplift.
- 12:48But I think that the GLP ones also changed the body types,
- 12:53right? The thick, thick body type was
- 12:56very in for many, many years, and now it's kind of
- 13:01transitioned because many of the GLP 1 users are not working out
- 13:06even though they're telling you to work out.
- 13:08So I was just reading and kind of watching about this skinny
- 13:11fat generation that's happening right now where everybody's
- 13:14looking skinny, but they're not toned underneath.
- 13:17And I think that's interesting. What's your take on that ladies?
- 13:20I do think that they serve a purpose.
- 13:22I think they are good for a lot of people, not just
- 13:25aesthetically, but like health wise.
- 13:27So I mean I know women that take it just for upkeep.
- 13:31I know people that need it. I don't have a problem with
- 13:33them. I think they're great.
- 13:34I think it's one of the best inventions we came out with.
- 13:38I think some of the people that are on the GLP ones, friends
- 13:41need to get involved, jump in the conversation and tell their
- 13:44friends that they're starting to look too skinny.
- 13:47I do that. I have friends that have been
- 13:48taking it for a while and their legs look so skinny.
- 13:51They're the size of my arms and so I'm like you, I, you look
- 13:55great, you look amazing. However, there's like a fine
- 13:58line from looking great to being super unhealthy looking.
- 14:01How does their skin look? Is it saggy?
- 14:04You lose your butt, your butt ends up like as flat as this
- 14:06floor, like it's not a good thing.
- 14:10I know like the knees and all of that, like get affected like I
- 14:13had a. Girlfriend I went to the beach
- 14:14with and she stood up and I promise you her butt was all
- 14:17skin. It was like she was 85 years old
- 14:19and she's like 30. Also, to your point, they stop
- 14:22working out, so they lose all the weight, right?
- 14:24They get super skinny and then they go, I don't have to go to
- 14:26the gym anymore. So there you go.
- 14:28Now you have a saggy body and unhealthy body.
- 14:30I think if you're going to do it, maintain going to the gym,
- 14:33eating rights and you have to preserve muscle girls, we have
- 14:38to preserve muscle you. Think this phase, this era, has
- 14:41something to do with all the Single Ladies?
- 14:43Because notice they're more single women now than there has
- 14:45been in decades. Yeah.
- 14:47And I'm like, I wonder if it's like I'm too skinny.
- 14:51I'm tired. I'm, you know, like not really
- 14:55up for dating anymore because I have no butt.
- 14:58My face calling and my facelift. I need to like, you know, work
- 15:02out my body. Now.
- 15:03Just because you're skinny doesn't necessarily mean you
- 15:05look good. Well, I just think women are
- 15:07more independent nowadays too, though, but that's a whole
- 15:10nother conversation. I just think like, if they're
- 15:13going to take these meds, you need to maintain your fitness.
- 15:16Like you can't let that go. And I know a lot of girls that
- 15:19just go on it and they go, I'm skinny now, I don't have to work
- 15:22out. Or they lose their desire to go
- 15:23to the gym and you know they can eat whatever they want.
- 15:26In the gym, women or men too? I guess men do the same thing,
- 15:30right? If they're losing weight, they
- 15:31feel like they don't need to work out.
- 15:33Absolutely. I think we started with Ozempic
- 15:36face and now they're calling it Ozempic body.
- 15:38But I do think it's a real trend of what's happening now.
- 15:43I know there is the next phase of GLPS that are coming.
- 15:48There's one that's coming very soon, red, a true tide, which is
- 15:52already in clinical trials and people are having a chance to
- 15:55test it and they're saying that really helps preserve muscle.
- 15:59But we'll see. And I think we're not even close
- 16:01to done by how many will be out. There.
- 16:03I mean, we always tried to lose weight, right?
- 16:06My mom's always been on a diet her whole life.
- 16:08I mean, we've always joked about having a magic pill to make you
- 16:11lose weight. And now we actually have
- 16:12something that works. I think it's really cool.
- 16:15It saved people's lives, people that were overweight their whole
- 16:18lives, that had addiction to food.
- 16:20And it's incredible, you know what it does for people?
- 16:22It gives them their life back. But as you were saying, Larsa,
- 16:26people take it too far, right? Like people that are 5 foot
- 16:30five, 110 lbs or taking GLP one. Why?
- 16:33Like what do we need that for? You know, other than it's nice
- 16:36to not crave cookies and French fries.
- 16:39But this is a part of life. Using a little self-control is
- 16:42good as well. So let's get back to when we
- 16:45were talking about filler. We were talking about facelifts.
- 16:49I think this trend, you know, Debbie, you were talking about
- 16:52you love skin care. Larsa, you were talking about
- 16:55the beauty box, which we'll dive into in a little bit.
- 16:57But we were talking about how much we love skin care.
- 17:00And I think the new trend is really skin health, right?
- 17:05It's not just, you know, putting something on that's making your
- 17:08skin shine. We have gotten into really a
- 17:12trend of skin health where we're taking care of our skin, we're
- 17:16cycling all these different actives and ingredients, making
- 17:19sure that our skin is healthy. And one of the things that I
- 17:21have learned, which I'm sure you have too, because it sounds like
- 17:25you're doing these treatments, you're doing the lasers and
- 17:28everything, is that our skin health is so important to keep
- 17:32intact to get the best results from the lasers and the
- 17:36treatments. If we just go in there, our skin
- 17:39is a disaster and we go and have a laser treatment and we're not
- 17:42taking care of our skin, that treatment could be phenomenal,
- 17:45but it doesn't matter. And I think skin health is
- 17:48really the next luxury, what we do with our skin, how we take
- 17:52care of our skin. What do you think about that?
- 17:55I mean, you know, we talked about a lot of lasers, but you
- 17:58know what the problem is? When you do a lot of lasers,
- 18:00your skin becomes very porous. So then you're more susceptible
- 18:04to like melasma, redness in your face.
- 18:07Because I do feel like if you're going to do the lasers, you
- 18:09definitely have to wear a good sunblock.
- 18:11You have to make sure that you invest in good skin care.
- 18:14Debbie and I talk about this all the time.
- 18:15I'm like, Oh my God. Like when I do a laser, like you
- 18:19have to really be mindful not to be in the sun because if you
- 18:23are, your skin is going to get damaged.
- 18:25So it's like you do all this work to get to this point.
- 18:28If you don't maintain it then it just, you know, voice.
- 18:32I think that if we're going to do all the lasers, we're going
- 18:37to invest in skin care. I think it's our job to really
- 18:40understand that like your skin's an organ, it's an organ and
- 18:44everything you do to it, you're going to have an effect.
- 18:46So a lot of times people will buy all this stuff and then they
- 18:50don't know how to use it or they're using all different
- 18:52things. Everything.
- 18:53There's like 5 different steps before I go to bed.
- 18:56I have like a whole lineup of products, but I know what I'm
- 18:59putting on my face and I know that nutrition is really big.
- 19:03Water is really big. Smoking.
- 19:06People that smoke, you're going to have crappy skin.
- 19:08Sorry you are. Any time you drink alcohol, if
- 19:11you do it excessively, you're going to have crappy skin like
- 19:13it's going to show. So I think that it really goes
- 19:16beyond what's in the bottle. You have to just do your
- 19:19homework and understand it all. I think I have been able to do
- 19:25since I really dialed into skin health over the last two to
- 19:28three years and understanding, you know, which order use the
- 19:31products and how often to use them.
- 19:33And then, you know, supplementing with other things
- 19:35like red light therapy, all these other components.
- 19:39I've been able to do less treatments when focusing on skin
- 19:43health. And it seems that that has
- 19:45really changed the game. And I think that like great skin
- 19:48is a flex right now. People want to have that great
- 19:51skin. And I also think that has LED us
- 19:54to a generation of like no makeup looks, right?
- 19:58So people are celebrities are coming out with no makeup on
- 20:03showing the I do nothing narrative.
- 20:05I just woke up like this. And I think all of that comes
- 20:09from good skin health, right? I mean, I walk around the house
- 20:13with that mask, the red mask on my face.
- 20:15You know, it has a little thing. I mean, I, I love it.
- 20:19Do you use a red light therapy? I do.
- 20:22I do, you know, I use it probably twice, three times a
- 20:24week, but you have to make sure that you get a good one that's
- 20:28like a good because there's so many online that are just a
- 20:32waste of your time. I think there's certain things
- 20:35that like, I personally would not spend $300,000 on a facelift
- 20:38when I can get one for like 5040.
- 20:41You know, I think there's a great doctors that could do it
- 20:43for less. But I also think like skin care,
- 20:45you should spend money on a good dermatologist, a good red light
- 20:49therapy machine, or, you know, mask.
- 20:51Because I do feel like there's so many online that have no
- 20:53purpose. They're not doing anything
- 20:55besides wasting your time while you're sitting there.
- 20:57And even if you're spending double, if you're getting double
- 21:00the results then it's worth it to, you know, get the better
- 21:02mask instead of I mean the one I use is a medical grade mask.
- 21:06I only have to use it 3 minutes a night.
- 21:08So for me it's the perfect solution.
- 21:10I'm just about to test a new at home device that's helps with
- 21:15lifting and toning so I'll report back on that.
- 21:17But. Let me know about that.
- 21:19Yeah. Anything that we can do at home,
- 21:21why not, right. I think that we want to be able
- 21:23to do things at home and we want to get get away from that
- 21:27overcorrecting error. And I think that having great
- 21:30skin health helps us stay in the zone there.
- 21:33So anything else that you ladies do for amazing skin health?
- 21:38I know people are taking different skin supplements,
- 21:40different peptides. Is there anything else that you
- 21:42do that's kind of outside of the norm?
- 21:45I I can't stay consistent with the peptides.
- 21:47I keep forgetting to take them like I did.
- 21:49I did get a couple from my doctor, Doctor Sandra in LA, and
- 21:53he's the best. He checks your hormones.
- 21:54He's the best. I just can't remember to take
- 21:57them like I'm. That's hard to remember.
- 21:59Another thing to add to your list, you know, but I do feel
- 22:02like I've had friends that have had amazing results with like
- 22:06Tessa Moralin and BP 157 for like recovery after a workout
- 22:11and stuff like that. So I do feel like there's a lot
- 22:13of peptides, but once again, I'm going to be the negative Nancy
- 22:16that I've been today on this podcast.
- 22:18You have to make sure that you don't have any underlining
- 22:21issues with cancer or anything like that.
- 22:23Because what some of these peptides do and we don't have
- 22:25enough, you know, information on them and enough study on them is
- 22:29that if you, God forbid, do have something small, it will take it
- 22:34to the next level faster. My grandmother is 93 years old,
- 22:37you guys, and just the best skin ever.
- 22:39She has no wrinkles, nothing. But you know what she does?
- 22:42She literally puts on moisturizer every night.
- 22:45She drinks a lot of water, she eats a lot of fruit.
- 22:48She goes to bed. I think sleep is probably on the
- 22:52on the top five things you can do to for your life, for your
- 22:55skin, for your well-being. Sleep is a huge factor in how
- 22:59you look. You know, I know so many people
- 23:02that sleep 12 hours a day and they look amazing.
- 23:06And then I have friends that are like, oh, I never sleep.
- 23:08I barely sleep. I sleep, you know, 6 hours a
- 23:10day, and I promise you, you'll start to age twice as fast.
- 23:14Yeah. So don't call me at 7:00.
- 23:16Don't call me at 6:00. I will not be answering your
- 23:19calls like I'm trying to sleep in whenever I get a chance.
- 23:22I'm trying to sleep until 8:00. Like Mike, you're so lucky you
- 23:25can do that now, because I can't I.
- 23:27Didn't well, Debbie, you got to remember I have 4 kids.
- 23:30So I went through of waking up with my kids, 4 kids and the age
- 23:34differences or you know, there's a gap.
- 23:36But now I feel like if I don't need to, I am not trying to get
- 23:40out of bed before 8:00. Like I want to get my beauty
- 23:42sleep. I want to wake up looking
- 23:44refreshed. I want my body to recover.
- 23:47And so it's like a conscious thing for me because I could get
- 23:50up at 7:00, I could get up at 6:00.
- 23:52My brain is always rushing and I'm always like, I have so much
- 23:55to do today, but it's like a conscious thing for me.
- 23:57If I don't have to wake up, I'm not going to.
- 24:00I'm going to lay back in bed, take some deep breaths, and go
- 24:03back to sleep. Good for you.
- 24:05And that, hey, that beauty sleep, right?
- 24:07I mean, listen, there's a lot of truth to that.
- 24:09My grandmother literally told me since I was a little girl like
- 24:12sleep. Sleep is good for you, you know?
- 24:14Think about it. Why do babies sleep so much?
- 24:16Yeah. Because they're growing, yes.
- 24:19So I'm still growing. I'm trying to keep the skin
- 24:21glowing and growing. I actually agree with you, the
- 24:24peptides were great as long as you can take them.
- 24:28I am trying a few myself and another thing that I swear by is
- 24:33there's a couple drinks out there for your skin and it's all
- 24:37like Omega threes and things like that.
- 24:40And this one particular one I take it really does work.
- 24:44So there's lots of, you know, different.
- 24:46I think they come in like little pouches.
- 24:48Some of them are gels. And the one I do is a liquid.
- 24:51And you just drink one a day. It's like a shot and it's all
- 24:55for your skin and it works internally and it really does
- 24:58make a difference because when I don't drink it, I see a
- 25:01difference. So it does something to you, I
- 25:03don't know what, but I think it hydrates yourselves.
- 25:05It's all your omega-3 fatty acids and you get it in one
- 25:08quick shot and you're done. But.
- 25:10We had somebody on the show last week talking about genetically
- 25:13that a treatment that works for me might not work for you and
- 25:17vice versa because of our genetic makeup.
- 25:20And that the next stage of aesthetics will be to be able to
- 25:25test that. Like, will a collagen supplement
- 25:30help me? Maybe not, but maybe Debbie and
- 25:33Lars, that works for you because of your genetic makeup.
- 25:35So it's really interesting what's coming next in aesthetics
- 25:38and what we can expect for the future that will help us.
- 25:41I've been doing lasers for years and I never know which one works
- 25:45because you don't see me to get gratification.
- 25:48It takes a long time to figure out what works for you.
- 25:51Well, ladies, I'd like to switch gears and talk about some of the
- 25:54items. We've had some fun this week
- 25:57using some of the products in our latest luxury beauty box and
- 26:02just kind of talking about some of the skin care that's making a
- 26:05difference for us. So I'd love to go over some of
- 26:07the standouts for all of us. And I know it's been fun testing
- 26:12them together and talking about them.
- 26:13Some of them we've had more time to test than others, but it's
- 26:17amazing. Sometimes you try product and
- 26:19immediately you see something, right?
- 26:21So let's go over a few that have earned a spot in our nightly
- 26:26routines. Deb, you want to get started.
- 26:28Well, I just love this beauty box because I think there was so
- 26:33many products in here that I use everyday now and I just it's
- 26:36hard to pick just one that I love, but this particular one,
- 26:40it's called panic cure. It's looks like this it gives
- 26:45your skin a glow and I'm super dry.
- 26:47So every time I put this on my skin just gets so hydrated and I
- 26:51just love this product. You also put this on after your
- 26:54serum because it locks in your serum.
- 26:57So you would use your serum first, then this and then your
- 27:01moisturizer and your skin will be glowing.
- 27:03So I love this product, so thank you.
- 27:07Yeah, yeah. And these beauty boxes, of
- 27:09course, are provided by our sponsor, New Beauty, and there's
- 27:13two boxes a year. We have a luxury review box and
- 27:16then also a box that is our awards box.
- 27:19So they're amazing. And the number of products that
- 27:22you get to test in there. What else, Deb, did you love?
- 27:25I mean. Listen, like I said, everything
- 27:27is great, but this, this particular lotion, I put it on
- 27:30every single night. Debbie, no, you didn't.
- 27:33Oh, you. See, isn't it amazing?
- 27:35So it has magnesium, it has melatonin.
- 27:40Hello. We all need that, right?
- 27:42It has sea salt, mineral salt. It has echinacea, lavender.
- 27:46It is so wonderful. Put it on when you're getting
- 27:50into bed and I think I'm convinced it helps me sleep.
- 27:53But you know, maybe might never matter, but it is great.
- 27:56That's great, Larsa, you love that one too.
- 27:59No, this is a game changer. And, you know, we just talked
- 28:01about how sleep is really important.
- 28:03And I feel like investing in a good moisturizer that has, you
- 28:08know, like melatonin, you know, magnesium in there that's like,
- 28:13so helpful to help you relax, you know, take deep breaths and
- 28:16go to sleep. So I definitely love this
- 28:18moisturizer. Yeah.
- 28:19It's all so good. Yeah, it smells amazing.
- 28:22And that's for the that's for the full body and that's by that
- 28:25the Nakery company, which I've seen pop up in a few boxes.
- 28:29One of my favorites was this Trivectin cream that is for the
- 28:34neck area. Ladies if you've seen the show,
- 28:37I'm always complaining about my neck and trying to get my neck
- 28:40tightened and firmed and using something that is super rich.
- 28:44I'm constantly trying different neck creams and I could feel a
- 28:48difference right away with this one so I highly recommend.
- 28:51This is the Trivecton advanced tightening neck cream.
- 28:56I'm addicted to anything for the neck so by the time I go to
- 28:59sleep my neck is completely coated.
- 29:02Are there any other standout ones for you?
- 29:03Larsa. OK, so retinol is very
- 29:06important, but retinol is another one of those creams
- 29:09where if you put retinol, your skin is super sensitive.
- 29:11So you definitely have to wear your sunblock.
- 29:13Wear a hat if you're in the sun. I live in South Florida, so the
- 29:17sun is always out. I'm always if I work out as soon
- 29:21as I'm done working out, I put sunblock, I take a shower, I put
- 29:24sunblock on again. I just I'm constantly very
- 29:26cautious if I want to avoid the sun at all measures to my face.
- 29:29I love my body to be tan, but my face is, you know, it's like a
- 29:34Picasso. We got to make sure we eat it.
- 29:36So this hydrinity is amazing. It has a ton of retinol and I
- 29:41feel like it's just easy to put on.
- 29:43I love it. That's one of my favorite
- 29:45products for the last year, Larsa, So I love that you called
- 29:48that one out. We had them on the show.
- 29:50We had the founder and CEO and he's so passionate about what he
- 29:55does. But what I love about that
- 29:57retinol is we've probably all tried retinols that really can
- 30:02make your skin very sensitive and that one does not like.
- 30:06This is super creamy it it comes on really nice and smooth.
- 30:10I love the smell. I think it's a really good
- 30:12product. It's made really well.
- 30:14And then this Dende product, this helps strengthen the skin.
- 30:18This is used after you're clean and before you put on your
- 30:23moisturizer. Really has some amazing
- 30:25ingredients. This is the first experience
- 30:27that I've had with this line and I've been impressed with the
- 30:31serum. Strengthens, tightens, lifts.
- 30:33Awesome. I use love it every day.
- 30:36OK. What else, you guys?
- 30:37I feel like it's important not to just stick with one brand
- 30:40because I feel like every brand has one hero product that's
- 30:43amazing. But then there's another brand
- 30:46that has something else that you know, like a really good
- 30:48sunblock formula or a really good retinol formula.
- 30:52So it's sometimes it's like you don't have to commit to 1 brand
- 30:54for all your skin care needs. I have a feeling that it would
- 30:58be a contest with the three of us how many products we have in
- 31:01our bathroom and I need. I need three more bathrooms, by
- 31:04the way. Same.
- 31:07I do too and like 3 more faces. I mean I'm at the point where I
- 31:11have one of those like I have all the furniture in my bathroom
- 31:14and then and the drawers and the cabinets and then I, I started,
- 31:18there's like a surplus. So I bought one of those like
- 31:20rolling carts that like rolls around and has drawers in it
- 31:22because I can't even fit everything in that I want to
- 31:26try. But it's fun, you know?
- 31:28I mean, I think. My daughter, who is 10, is now
- 31:32into skin care because of me, and now I can't get her out of
- 31:36Sephora. So it's become a phenomenon
- 31:40among all of that age group now, which is also really cool
- 31:44because, you know, they're learning at an early age how to
- 31:47take care of their skin. I don't think I cared about it
- 31:50when I was 10. So I love seeing that she
- 31:53actually cares. We just have to be careful, like
- 31:55what we're putting on her skin because she is so young.
- 31:58But I do think it is really cool.
- 32:00It's adorable. By the way, Debbie, I could just
- 32:01see you in there fine. We're totally like, I can't get
- 32:04her out of Sephora. That's like, I feel like for a
- 32:07girl that's like dizzy, you know?
- 32:09It's like it's. For girls, that's what she likes
- 32:12to do for fun. And I know when I was a
- 32:16teenager, we were just baking in the sun, you know, and using
- 32:19like, right, using like Noxzema, you know, pads and stuff like.
- 32:23That like nothing. I was putting baby oil on my
- 32:26skin and laying on the side. Me too, Debbie.
- 32:28I was obsessed with like, burning up like bacon.
- 32:31Do you put butter on your skin? I put butter on my skin.
- 32:34Do you know what I would do? I would put salt in water
- 32:36bottles and spray myself. What did that do?
- 32:40I felt. Like it was like salt water.
- 32:42Oh my God. Remember like the sun in we
- 32:45would put in our hair. Oh yeah, my hair was orange.
- 32:48Girls. Yeah, we I had orange hair too.
- 32:50My hair was orange. My mom had a heart attack.
- 32:53She picked me up one day. We.
- 32:55Would use sea breeze toner and stuff.
- 32:57It's just funny. But now, yes, you're right, the
- 33:00young girls are catching on and using some skin care.
- 33:03Yeah. I think it's so much easier
- 33:05because you can get everything on Amazon, you can get
- 33:07everything on. So it makes it so much easier to
- 33:09try different brands. And that's kind of why this, you
- 33:12know, beauty box is so nice because we do get a chance to
- 33:15try all these different brands to kind of see what we like,
- 33:18what we, you know, what works for us.
- 33:19But yeah. It's awesome.
- 33:21It's so exciting too when you get the.
- 33:23Box It's definitely an investment to go to an Ulta or
- 33:26Sephora and spend some time there, try different products,
- 33:29see what you like before you just dive into a brand.
- 33:32The beauty boxes are awesome and we'll be going through each time
- 33:36we have a new one, so thanks ladies for taking a look in the
- 33:39box and reviewing the products and love to come back and talk
- 33:43about more. Think I'm going to take a nap,
- 33:45guys. Yes, with your cream.
- 33:49All right. Any other standouts, any other
- 33:52standout products or we're pretty good with products?
- 33:55Well, one last one. OK, that's about now because
- 33:57this one is my favorite. It's the mini Luzon.
- 34:00It's the oil. So again, hydrating, hydrating,
- 34:04hydrating. It is awesome.
- 34:06It's a cream oil, so it's not like you're just pouring baby
- 34:10oil on your skin. It actually gets absorbed super
- 34:12nicely and my skin loves it. So awesome.
- 34:15Now they're good. Larsa, you said you tried that
- 34:17one. As well, right I that one today,
- 34:19I don't know if you guys can see, but it really made my skin
- 34:21gooey. Your skin looks great.
- 34:23Looks great, really good. OK, well thanks ladies for the
- 34:27real time reviews. I would love to dive into this
- 34:31speed round. We have a few more minutes and
- 34:34we're going to dive into just a few hot topics and get your
- 34:38opinions. OK OK, all right, ready.
- 34:42Facelift under 40 in or out. Out.
- 34:47Mini facelift versus full facelift.
- 34:50Mini facelift. And.
- 34:52Full and lower facelift only. Out out neck lift before
- 34:59facelift. Out if I'm doing it, I'm doing
- 35:03it. You guys, I'm not the same.
- 35:05I want to do all of it, the whole thing.
- 35:07Just going to go back in in a year once you see the the
- 35:09difference between the top and the bottom.
- 35:11Eyelid surgery Upper Bluff Lower Bluff What are your thoughts
- 35:16and. And if you need it.
- 35:18I think it makes a huge difference.
- 35:20It almost looks like a facelift and it's just their eyes.
- 35:23But how much focus is on our eyes right it?
- 35:25Depends how in your eyeball is. They're like because my mom is
- 35:3169 years old and she's never going to need it because her eye
- 35:33is just really inside. It's not like poked out do you
- 35:36know what I mean? It depends on the shape of your
- 35:38eye you will ever need it actually.
- 35:41I think there's other options people just don't know.
- 35:43Like you can get fat actually injected into your eyelids
- 35:46instead of removing it because again, it depends on how your
- 35:49eyes are set. You may think you need it, but
- 35:52all you need is some fat from your own body to inject it into
- 35:55your eyelid and that kind of fills the area.
- 35:58So it's not a one-size-fits-all, correct?
- 36:01What about dissolving all the filler and starting over fresh?
- 36:06And. Then you what if you don't like
- 36:08it? You got to do small pieces at a
- 36:10time, like small air. Under eye filler, out.
- 36:14I would say out. Lip filler always.
- 36:17In for me, sweetie. Always in within reason.
- 36:21I've seen a big shift in that lately.
- 36:22Right? Like the lips have definitely
- 36:25deflated, at least in Palm Beach, I think.
- 36:27Your lips deflate as you age and you're left with wrinkly lips.
- 36:31The only way you can fix that really is to put filler in right
- 36:35Again, as long as you're not looking, I think the whole big
- 36:38lip look is going out. Jawline contouring with filler
- 36:43in. Again, but you have to go to the
- 36:45best doctor for that and the best doctor for that is in
- 36:48Beverly Hills, Simon Orion. He is known to chisel a woman's
- 36:51jawline so and but it has to be done with.
- 36:54A really good doctor, yeah. And it takes so much more than
- 36:57people think, right? They're like, oh, I'm going to
- 36:59get a syringe, but it's like a lot of syringes.
- 37:02It goes one CC away from looking like a man.
- 37:05Yeah. Like you're 1 CC, you have to go
- 37:08to someone that really knows how to contour a chin.
- 37:10That's the precision is a must and that.
- 37:14And chin filler is also, you know, hot in or out, you guys,
- 37:18chin filler. I think it's in.
- 37:21I think it's in if your face is kind of on the smaller side and
- 37:23you want it to look more, you know, portion.
- 37:26Preventative neurotoxin in the 20s.
- 37:29What do you guys think about that?
- 37:31I think in your 20s you really should focus more on your career
- 37:34and not so much on all the other stuff.
- 37:37You've got your whole life to battle it.
- 37:39It is a fight you will be fighting forever.
- 37:41So I think in your 20s, work on your career, work on building
- 37:45your family, whatever else you're doing.
- 37:46But you know, you've got time. Leave the anti ageing treatments
- 37:49to your 30s. I think start at 35 honestly.
- 37:53I didn't have anything done to my face until I was 43 and I
- 37:58think. That's why you look so good,
- 37:59because I think sometimes when you start super early, you know
- 38:03where are you going. It's just like putting mileage
- 38:05on a car for no reason. You're not going that far.
- 38:07You're literally driving around your backyard.
- 38:10But I do see, you know, 222324 going and getting all this
- 38:14Botox. I understand we can prevent, you
- 38:17know, different lines from forming and whatnot.
- 38:19That's great. We didn't, you know, I didn't
- 38:21have the benefit of doing that, you know, in my 20s.
- 38:24But I see the benefit. But it's a lot.
- 38:26I think you're right. Just enjoy your 20s, right?
- 38:28I think that's a good time also to learn about skin care and
- 38:32really master the how to use product and then go a little bit
- 38:37further after that. CO2 lasers your opinion there?
- 38:40I like CO2 lasers. I'm in.
- 38:43I do too. I'm in and it helps prevent skin
- 38:44cancers too from popping up. Pigment correcting lasers, like
- 38:48for sun damage, everybody's in on that.
- 38:51You know, a lot of people think that you have to get lasers if
- 38:53you have melasma or skin damage, but there are bleaching wipes
- 38:57that do the same thing. It just takes a bit longer and
- 38:59it's a little bit more sensitive on your skin and your skin is
- 39:01not as porous. So I definitely think like
- 39:04bleaching wipes are a good answer to that.
- 39:07What about exosomes? Have either of you tried
- 39:09exosomes? I love exosomes.
- 39:13Every time I get a laser I get the heavy duty one from the
- 39:16office. And when they say you're going
- 39:19to be red and swollen next day, I promise you after my treatment
- 39:24they put one coat on my face. I am not red, I am not swollen.
- 39:28The difference is night and day. That's really the next
- 39:32generation of regenerative skin care.
- 39:35Red light therapy masks. Sounds like we're all using that
- 39:38at home. Aesthetic devices.
- 39:40Are you guys using any other ones at home?
- 39:42I'm about to test. This too.
- 39:44I use all of them. All of them are like, good.
- 39:46So there's one that kind of, you know how you kind of get those
- 39:49little red spots on your body and stuff from the sun?
- 39:52Oh yeah. I have a laser that zaps them.
- 39:54So if you guys want to come over, I can ZAP you guys.
- 39:57Oh wow. I love it.
- 39:58Laser hair removal you can do at home now it's like I don't have
- 40:01time. To go.
- 40:01So I just do it at home. Seriously, I got to get that
- 40:04from you. I'm over.
- 40:07So I know there are a lot of new at home devices.
- 40:09We're trying to test some of them as they come out.
- 40:12Has anybody tried NAD for anti aging or skin recovery?
- 40:17There's NAD skin care there, NAD drips.
- 40:20Have either of you tried those? I've tried the drip and I've
- 40:23done the injection when I went to the spot by your house.
- 40:26Debbie, I feel like, you know, all this stuff is stuff you have
- 40:28to constantly go get because if it's just a one time treatment,
- 40:32if you feel great, you look great and then like 2 weeks
- 40:35later it's like you need it again.
- 40:38Well, I do take anything and I think it does work.
- 40:42So it gives you energy. I'm a busy mom, constantly
- 40:46running and I do love it and I do think it works.
- 40:48Well, ladies, amazing topics today.
- 40:52And Larsa, before we start to close up, I'd love to hear about
- 40:56your newly launched tequila line.
- 40:58Let's talk about it. Yes, we launched this amazing
- 41:01tequila called a Lujo. It is super clean.
- 41:04You don't get a hangover the next day.
- 41:05And you know, I drink in moderation.
- 41:08So I do feel like there is a correlation from, you know,
- 41:10drinking responsibly and skin care.
- 41:13So I feel like this tequila is literally the cleanest form of
- 41:16tequila on the market. Well, I can't wait to have you
- 41:19over because we're going to have some tequila in my room here and
- 41:23it's my favorite drink in the whole world.
- 41:24That's all I drink. I know I can't wait to try it.
- 41:27Love it. Where can we find this tequila?
- 41:30That's at a lot of restaurants in Miami.
- 41:32Or you can go on a luho.com or you could purchase it straight
- 41:35from the website. OK, awesome.
- 41:37Well, excited to try it and good luck with that new business
- 41:41endeavour. Thank you.
