- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn French with Fexingo, everyone. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Oh, it's so good to be here again. Lucas: Yeah, totally. Today, we're doing something a little different—a tiny story. Luna: A story? Oh, I love that. Lucas: Right. We'll use only phrases we've already learned, no new ones. It's all about seeing them in action. Luna: Perfect. I'm ready. Lucas: Okay, so picture this. It's a rainy afternoon. You're on a bus, heading home after a long day. Luna: Oof, I can feel that. Lucas: The bus is pretty full. You find a seat, and someone sits down next to you. A stranger. Luna: Oh, okay. Lucas: They turn to you with a smile and say... Bonjour. Luna: Bonjour. That's 'hello,' right? Lucas: Exactly. Bonjour. Say it with me. Luna: Bonjour. Lucas: There you go. So you reply, Bonjour. Luna: Bonjour. Got it. Lucas: Then they ask, Comment ça va? Luna: Comment ça va? That means 'how are you?' Lucas: Yep. Comment ça va? Try it. Luna: Comment ça va? Lucas: Nice. And you answer, Ça va bien, merci. Luna: Ça va bien, merci. 'I'm fine, thank you.' Lucas: Absolutely. Ça va bien, merci. Luna: Ça va bien, merci. Okay, so we're chatting on the bus. Lucas: Right. Then the stranger says, Je m'appelle Marie. Luna: Je m'appelle Marie. 'My name is Marie.' Lucas: Yeah. Je m'appelle. Let's say it. Luna: Je m'appelle. Lucas: Good. And you reply, Je m'appelle Luna. Luna: Je m'appelle Luna. Wait, but I'm not really on the bus. Lucas: Oh, really? Sure you did. Just play along. Luna: Fine, fine. Je m'appelle Luna. Lucas: Perfect. Then Marie asks, Comment tu t'appelles? Luna: Comment tu t'appelles? 'What's your name?' Lucas: Exactly. Comment tu t'appelles? Luna: Comment tu t'appelles? Lucas: And you say, Je m'appelle Luna. But you already did that. Luna: Right. So it's a bit of a loop. Lucas: Totally. But in real life, you'd just answer. Now, the bus is nearing your stop. Luna: Oh, time to go. Lucas: Yeah. You stand up and say, Au revoir. Luna: Au revoir. 'Goodbye.' Lucas: Au revoir. Say it. Luna: Au revoir. Lucas: And Marie replies, À plus tard. Luna: À plus tard. 'See you later.' Lucas: Yep. À plus tard. Luna: À plus tard. That's it? The whole story? Lucas: That's it. A tiny, everyday moment. Let's run through it again, but you try the French parts this time. Luna: Okay, I'm on the bus. Someone says... Bonjour. Lucas: Right. And you say? Luna: Bonjour. Lucas: Good. Then they ask, Comment ça va? Luna: Comment ça va? And I say, Ça va bien, merci. Lucas: Exactly. Ça va bien, merci. Luna: Then they introduce themselves. Je m'appelle Marie. Lucas: Je m'appelle Marie. And you? Luna: Je m'appelle Luna. Lucas: Nailed it. Then they ask, Comment tu t'appelles? Luna: Comment tu t'appelles? And I say, Je m'appelle Luna again. Lucas: Yeah, it's repetitive, but that's how conversations go sometimes. Now you get off the bus. Luna: Au revoir. Lucas: And they say? Luna: À plus tard. Lucas: There it is. You did it. Luna: Oh, that's so good. It feels real. Lucas: For sure. That's the point—using what we know in a natural way. Luna: Let me try the whole thing one more time, from memory. Lucas: Go for it. Luna: Bonjour. Comment ça va? Ça va bien, merci. Je m'appelle Luna. Comment tu t'appelles? Je m'appelle Luna. Au revoir. À plus tard. Lucas: Wow. That was smooth. You got all the phrases in. Luna: Thanks. It's fun to put them together like this. Lucas: Absolutely. And remember, this is all from our past episodes—greetings, how are you, introductions, goodbyes. Luna: Right. No new stuff, just practice. Lucas: Yeah. So if you're new, check out episodes 1 through 7 on Fexingo to catch up. Luna: And if you've been with us, keep reviewing. It really helps. Lucas: Totally. That's all for today's tiny story. Thanks for learning French with Fexingo. Luna: See you next time. Au revoir! Lucas: À plus tard.
