Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 3: Which Boogeyman will the Dems choose this time around?
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: So Mark Simon Show now nine till noon weekdays on
- 0:05Speaker 1: seven to ten WR.
- 0:11Speaker 2: A lot to get to this. It's Wednesday, and it's
- 0:14Speaker 2: gonna be beautiful day to day. It's gonna be just
- 0:16Speaker 2: bright sunshine, low humidity. Take advantage of it because it's
- 0:20Speaker 2: going to rain tomorrow. It's going to be maybe one
- 0:22Speaker 2: of the nicest days of the summer this week. Remember
- 0:26Speaker 2: those Canadian wildfires, all that smoke. Remember that was a
- 0:30Speaker 2: three days where you couldn't breathe, it couldn't go out.
- 0:32Speaker 2: It was just a happened a couple times this year,
- 0:35Speaker 2: ruining everything for New York and the Northeast, that Canadian
- 0:39Speaker 2: wildfire smoke. So the President going after Canada for it
- 0:44Speaker 2: and putting a tariff, a fifty percent tariff on Canadian goods.
- 0:48Speaker 2: They deserve that, they should reimburse us. We want reparations
- 0:53Speaker 2: for that wildfire smoke. But he's just announced he'll put
- 0:58Speaker 2: that on hold. He's paused that terror for three days.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Apparently negotiations are going well with the Canadians. You know,
- 1:07Speaker 2: ABC TV Disney. ABC is suing the Trump administration because
- 1:14Speaker 2: the Trump administration is going after ABC. The FCC is
- 1:19Speaker 2: investigating ABC member it's a very very, very biased slanted place,
- 1:25Speaker 2: especially when it comes to their news coverage. And that
- 1:30Speaker 2: was something the FCC always did, has nothing to do
- 1:33Speaker 2: with Trump. If you were distorting the news or biased
- 1:37Speaker 2: in your coverage, they would look at whether you should
- 1:39Speaker 2: have a broadcast license, if you were putting out any
- 1:42Speaker 2: false information anything. Traditionally, the FCC would challenge your license
- 1:47Speaker 2: and people people can challenge a broadcast license. So they're
- 1:53Speaker 2: looking at ABC's TV stations. They own a bunch of
- 1:56Speaker 2: TV stations including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, and
- 2:02Speaker 2: FCC is investigating them. So ABC Disney is suing the
- 2:07Speaker 2: Trump administration to stop the investigation. But in the middle
- 2:11Speaker 2: of this lawsuit, things are getting revealed in there, you know,
- 2:16Speaker 2: like take the View for instance. Now you got your
- 2:19Speaker 2: high IQ shows, you know, you got your low IQ shows.
- 2:23Speaker 2: The View is like the low IQ show. It's the
- 2:26Speaker 2: left wing equivalent of like an Alex Jones kind of show.
- 2:29Speaker 2: But the View tried to pass it off as some
- 2:35Speaker 2: sort of news program, which it's not. It's just a
- 2:37Speaker 2: bunch of comedians and other people, just a bunch of
- 2:40Speaker 2: clucking hens who don't know much about politics. It's not
- 2:44Speaker 2: a news show of any kind. But then they got very,
- 2:47Speaker 2: very very political. They got Trump derangement syndrome, which is fine,
- 2:51Speaker 2: but if you're going to pass yourself off as some
- 2:53Speaker 2: sort of news show, you got to be fair and balanced.
- 2:57Speaker 2: For instance, the ABC Sunday Morning Show is the most
- 3:00Speaker 2: slanted left wing show, but they try to follow the
- 3:05Speaker 2: guidelines a little. So they'll have the Republican on as
- 3:09Speaker 2: they'll have a Republican candidate on, they'll have a Democratic
- 3:13Speaker 2: candidate on, they'll have somebody from the Democratic world, some
- 3:19Speaker 2: governor or senator, and then they'll have a Republican say so,
- 3:23Speaker 2: at least they do that. I mean they don't handle
- 3:25Speaker 2: it fairly. I mean the Democrat can say anything he
- 3:28Speaker 2: wants and they just nod. If the Republican says anything,
- 3:31Speaker 2: they interrupt twelve times with the all kinds of follow
- 3:35Speaker 2: up and they badger the guy. But at least they
- 3:38Speaker 2: have both on on the view. They don't even bother.
- 3:40Speaker 2: They'll never have a Republican official on, They'll never have
- 3:44Speaker 2: a Republican candidate on. It's the most rigged bias show
- 3:48Speaker 2: in the world. So in the lawsuit, it's one of
- 3:52Speaker 2: the things ABC went after him for even in certain
- 3:55Speaker 2: campaigns like the Texas race, they only had the Democrat on. Ever,
- 4:00Speaker 2: let the Republican come on. So but ABC in the
- 4:04Speaker 2: lawsuit is admitting that. They're saying, you know, we've had
- 4:07Speaker 2: to stop booking candidates. In fact, since February, we've not
- 4:11Speaker 2: had a single candidate on the view. So they're admitting
- 4:15Speaker 2: if they can't do it in a biased way, they're
- 4:17Speaker 2: not going to do it at all. If they have
- 4:19Speaker 2: to have Republicans on, they'll just stop having candidates on.
- 4:22Speaker 2: That's a pretty big admission to slip in there. Hey,
- 4:26Speaker 2: speaking of fake news, you know you keep reading these
- 4:28Speaker 2: stories about this aircraft carrier, the USS Lincoln. It's been
- 4:31Speaker 2: out at sea two hundred days. This is unheard of,
- 4:37Speaker 2: This is unbearable for these sailors. Why they're even some
- 4:41Speaker 2: of them are jumping overboard, trying to kill themselves. This
- 4:44Speaker 2: is the story that's been pushed on you for weeks. Well,
- 4:47Speaker 2: it turns out two hundred days is pretty normal for
- 4:50Speaker 2: an aircraft carrier to be out there. In fact, the
- 4:53Speaker 2: average time they're out there is two hundred and twenty days.
- 4:55Speaker 2: So it's absolutely nothing as far as people jumping overboard.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Apparently it happened all the time. It always happens. Somebody
- 5:03Speaker 2: goes Now they're not necessarily jumping, sometimes they actually do fall.
- 5:07Speaker 2: And sometimes somebody will jump overboard just because they're trying
- 5:10Speaker 2: to get sent home. But it's happened all the time.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Somebody going overboard on an aircraft carry, it's not a
- 5:16Speaker 2: big deal. They're quickly rescued, and they're often out two
- 5:21Speaker 2: hundred days. It's pretty common. So it's all fake news.
- 5:26Speaker 2: And then the other reports they're not getting fresh food. Well,
- 5:29Speaker 2: as we had somebody point out last hour who was
- 5:32Speaker 2: on those aircraft carriers. A supply boat pulls up every
- 5:35Speaker 2: month or two bringing food. So again you just fed
- 5:40Speaker 2: this fake news all the time, over and over and
- 5:43Speaker 2: over again. All right, Now, what the hell is this
- 5:46Speaker 2: all about. There's a property right next to the White House,
- 5:49Speaker 2: like a block away building for sale. It was the
- 5:54Speaker 2: Historic Securities Building. Well it was just sold. But the
- 5:58Speaker 2: guy that bought it is a Chinese businessman, Philip Q.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Now this is getting a lot of attention because Q
- 6:08Speaker 2: is associated with the Chinese government and the Communist Party,
- 6:14Speaker 2: and now they're taking a close look at this guy.
- 6:17Speaker 2: He seems to be too tight into the Chinese government.
- 6:19Speaker 2: He paid eight point four million for the building. And
- 6:24Speaker 2: not only is he tied in with the Chinese Communist
- 6:26Speaker 2: Party of the Chinese government, he underwent specialized combat and
- 6:31Speaker 2: sniper training. So you think they'd be more careful selling
- 6:38Speaker 2: a property right across from the White House, but this
- 6:41Speaker 2: guy just bought it. So this does not sound good
- 6:44Speaker 2: at all. Hey, over at CNN, you know there's a
- 6:48Speaker 2: big sale going on, a merger Ellison and Paramount. They're
- 6:53Speaker 2: going to take over Paramount's guidance is going to take
- 6:56Speaker 2: over Time Warner, Warner Discovery, whatever it's called. And in
- 7:01Speaker 2: the process they'll get CNN. So they're worried over there
- 7:05Speaker 2: at CNN that they're going to make it more moderate,
- 7:07Speaker 2: that maybe Barry Weiss will be brought in to run it.
- 7:11Speaker 2: So all their crazy left wing, angry fake news anchors
- 7:16Speaker 2: CNN every time a contract comes up, is resigning them
- 7:19Speaker 2: to a big, long term contract so that they're locked in.
- 7:23Speaker 2: They just did it with one of the primetime anchors,
- 7:25Speaker 2: Abby Phillips, one of the big trumpeters or contract was up,
- 7:30Speaker 2: so they've signed her a long term contract. This will
- 7:33Speaker 2: if the new owners come in, they'll you know this
- 7:35Speaker 2: will be a problem because I'll have all these people.
- 7:37Speaker 2: They're doing it with Anderson Cooper, who's on it eight o'clock,
- 7:42Speaker 2: going to sign him, renewed his contract last year, big
- 7:44Speaker 2: long term contract. They're going to do it with Caitlin Collins.
- 7:49Speaker 2: So whoever takes over will be stuck with these people.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Not a good sign, not a not a nice thing
- 7:56Speaker 2: to do. Hey, you know, Jimmy Kimmel, speaking of Trump
- 8:01Speaker 2: haters on vacation all summer. He's taking a two month
- 8:05Speaker 2: summer break. What is he in high school? Two months
- 8:08Speaker 2: summer break. In the history of late night television, this
- 8:12Speaker 2: has never happened where a host takes the whole summer off,
- 8:15Speaker 2: two months off. But he's done it, and they got
- 8:18Speaker 2: all kinds of fillings. Now the SEC claiming that they're
- 8:24Speaker 2: a little biased over there at ABC. Guess who the
- 8:26Speaker 2: fillain is this week. It's Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell is
- 8:31Speaker 2: filling in for Kimmel all four nights this week. You're saying,
- 8:36Speaker 2: wait a minute, it's five nights a week. Now. The
- 8:38Speaker 2: Kimmel Show is only four nights a week because it
- 8:41Speaker 2: doesn't make any money. It doesn't have a lot of viewers.
- 8:44Speaker 2: They can't afford to do five shows a week, so
- 8:47Speaker 2: they do only four a week, and they want to
- 8:49Speaker 2: rerun one night. The same thing with the Jimmy fallon
- 8:52Speaker 2: Colbert was the same thing. They can't afford to do
- 8:55Speaker 2: five nights a week. That's how poorly these shows are doing.
- 8:58Speaker 2: But Rosie O'donnald's been filling in all week. She's already
- 9:01Speaker 2: filled in two nights. You notice you haven't heard a
- 9:03Speaker 2: thing about it, so apparently it didn't have much impact
- 9:07Speaker 2: of any kind. She keeps calling Trump the mango Mussolini,
- 9:12Speaker 2: a mango Mussolini. That's her big joke. Hey, you know
- 9:16Speaker 2: who died? This guy? Bill Rasmussen. He's the guy that
- 9:19Speaker 2: came up with ESPN. Died yesterday, ninety three years old.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Hailed as a visionary, an innovator. He created ESPN. It
- 9:28Speaker 2: was nineteen seventy nine. He worked for the Whalers. He
- 9:35Speaker 2: was the communications director, got the idea for ESPN, put
- 9:39Speaker 2: it together. He had a max out his credit card
- 9:44Speaker 2: and from that he borrowed nine thousand dollars, acquired space
- 9:48Speaker 2: on a communications satellite, started ESPN. I don't know how
- 9:52Speaker 2: he got that thing on the air. But what a
- 9:55Speaker 2: great job he did. You got to remember, if you
- 9:58Speaker 2: go back to nineteen seventy nine, it seemed crazy. It
- 10:02Speaker 2: seemed insane, the idea of a twenty four hour sports network.
- 10:06Speaker 2: It just seemed crazy. And you remember when it first started.
- 10:10Speaker 2: For the first year or two, the sports were like
- 10:12Speaker 2: volleyball and bowling, and you couldn't get all the sports
- 10:17Speaker 2: they have now, there was no I guess they had started.
- 10:19Speaker 2: They had Sports Center and all that had struggled along,
- 10:22Speaker 2: but eventually obviously caught on. ABC bought it and it
- 10:26Speaker 2: became the biggest thing in the world. It's hard to believe,
- 10:28Speaker 2: but when he started this, they thought he was insane,
- 10:31Speaker 2: just like when Ted Turner started CNN. They twenty four
- 10:36Speaker 2: hours in news. They thought he was crazy. They thought
- 10:39Speaker 2: it was insane too, but he kept saying, well, they
- 10:42Speaker 2: got radio stations that are twenty four hours new all news.
- 10:47Speaker 2: They got him in all the major cities. They do
- 10:49Speaker 2: very very well. So he knew it would work and
- 10:52Speaker 2: he stuck with it. Remember cable was new then. HBO
- 10:56Speaker 2: was the first big cable network, But then you got CNN,
- 10:59Speaker 2: and you got ESPN, and then cable just took off
- 11:02Speaker 2: in the mid eighties. Hey, there might be another FBI scandal.
- 11:07Speaker 2: You know that Christopher Ray. Boy, he was pretty bad
- 11:11Speaker 2: as FBI director, pretty sleazy. I know you're saying, well,
- 11:15Speaker 2: why did Trump appoint him? Well, because when he got
- 11:18Speaker 2: the office in the first term, he didn't know anybody
- 11:21Speaker 2: was brand new. He asked Chris Christy to recommend somebody
- 11:24Speaker 2: for FBI director. It was Chris Christi that stuck the
- 11:27Speaker 2: country with the awful Christopher Ray. But investigations now Senator Grassley,
- 11:34Speaker 2: Senator Ron Johnson, Senate Committee investigating it looks like in
- 11:39Speaker 2: the Christopher Ray FBI they might have been deliberately misclassifying stuff,
- 11:45Speaker 2: like when they were trying to frame Trump and make
- 11:47Speaker 2: up that whole fake Russia hoax. Well, it turns out
- 11:51Speaker 2: some of those documents they might have classified them as
- 11:53Speaker 2: top secret highly just to keep anybody from seeing what
- 11:56Speaker 2: they were doing. And then with some of the Joe
- 11:59Speaker 2: Biden's stuf, they were lowering the classification so when he
- 12:03Speaker 2: got caught with them, it wouldn't be such a crime.
- 12:05Speaker 2: But this went on for a long time, this misclassifying
- 12:09Speaker 2: things deliberately part of a cover up. Now apparently he
- 12:16Speaker 2: also set up a task force in the FBI that
- 12:20Speaker 2: if anybody was investigating Biden or Ukraine or Biden Ukraine corruption,
- 12:25Speaker 2: they would get a red flag on it would come
- 12:27Speaker 2: to their attention and they could immediately take all the
- 12:30Speaker 2: documents and classify them as highly top secret so nobody
- 12:33Speaker 2: could see them. Just to help cover up Biden scandals.
- 12:36Speaker 2: But that's the Christopher Ray FBI disinvestigation of proceeds, and
- 12:42Speaker 2: it should get pretty ugly as they uncover a lot
- 12:45Speaker 2: more stuff. Hey, remember Nora O'Donnell. When I say Nora O'Donnell,
- 12:51Speaker 2: what's the first thing you think of? Oh yeah, exactly,
- 12:56Speaker 2: a nice woman. Bland Boring anchored the CBS Evening News
- 13:01Speaker 2: wasn't going so well. You'll notice they took her off
- 13:03Speaker 2: the CBS Evening News. The plan was to stick around
- 13:07Speaker 2: sixty minutes, but again she puts everybody to sleep. Now
- 13:12Speaker 2: they're saying, actually, Barry Weiss of CBS says, we'll always
- 13:16Speaker 2: have a place for Nora O'Donnell, all right, if you
- 13:20Speaker 2: really want to keep her. They're talking about the third
- 13:22Speaker 2: seat on the CBS Morning Show. That's a good place
- 13:27Speaker 2: to put somebody like her, because nobody watches that CBS
- 13:31Speaker 2: Morning show. It's in third place. All the network morning
- 13:35Speaker 2: shows pretty low rated nowadays. In fact, that third seat,
- 13:40Speaker 2: it's been open for a while. The Witness Protection Program
- 13:42Speaker 2: has been using it to hide peoplease put them somebody
- 13:45Speaker 2: there and nobody will ever see them. Hey, the Carnegie
- 13:49Speaker 2: Deli reopening, we're all excited about that. You can walk
- 13:52Speaker 2: by fifty third and seventh. The front is up, the
- 13:55Speaker 2: sign is up. The Carnegie Deli, of course legendary. It's
- 14:01Speaker 2: not the original location. It's a block away. It's in
- 14:04Speaker 2: the location of the old stage delegatests and their big rival.
- 14:08Speaker 2: But the Carnegie Deli when it opens, I don't think
- 14:10Speaker 2: you'll see Mom Donni there. I can't picture Mom Donnie
- 14:15Speaker 2: in a deli, a Jewish deli. Can you picture Mom
- 14:18Speaker 2: Donnie gay? I give me to number seven. He's a guy.
- 14:22Speaker 2: He's one of those that would come in and order
- 14:24Speaker 2: a pastrami on white with mayonnaise. You know if actually,
- 14:27Speaker 2: you know, in the old Carnegie, you get somebody from
- 14:30Speaker 2: the Midwest or somebody I don't have the pistrami on
- 14:33Speaker 2: white bread with mayonnaise, and the Carnegie waiter would say,
- 14:37Speaker 2: I'm not bringing you that I'm not going to bring you.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I'll bring you the right thing and he'd bring it
- 14:42Speaker 2: on Rye with the mustard and all of that. So
- 14:45Speaker 2: it is coming back. It is reopening. Take a look
- 14:47Speaker 2: at my Instagram. You can see the picture of it.
- 14:50Speaker 2: It's there. It's under construction. The front is up. But
- 14:53Speaker 2: just go to Mark Simone NYC at Instagram and you
- 14:56Speaker 2: can take a look at it. Mark Simone NYC at Instagram.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Uh.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Hey, when we come back, we'll take some calls. Eight
- 15:03Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Let's get some new callers. We always love new callers.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Eight hundred
- 15:15Speaker 2: three to two one zero seven ten.
- 15:17Speaker 1: You're listening to Mark emotion on you.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh Thomas,
- 15:27Speaker 2: North Carolina, Thomas, How you doing great?
- 15:31Speaker 4: Mark? Actually South Carolina. I met Meryll's inlet.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Is there a difference?
- 15:36Speaker 4: Yeah, they tell me there is. I've only been down
- 15:39Speaker 4: here about six months.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Now, Well where'd you move from?
- 15:42Speaker 4: I moved out of by Newburgh, New York. Oh here?
- 15:46Speaker 4: Oh hey, I'm calling them. Before I moved. One day
- 15:50Speaker 4: I was driving in around and were you were talking
- 15:53Speaker 4: about the Tribeca Grill.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Yeah, and I.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Wanted to call in that one day, and uh, I
- 15:59Speaker 4: went down there. My wife did some acting. We went
- 16:01Speaker 4: down there to uh do some reviews on some short films. Afterwards,
- 16:07Speaker 4: we went down to the restaurant to have a biked. Yeah,
- 16:11Speaker 4: and I'm sitting there at the table, you know, Yeah,
- 16:13Speaker 4: I'm going, Man, I'm looking at the menu, very expensive.
- 16:16Speaker 2: And you know it's only a three hour show? Could
- 16:20Speaker 2: you speak this up?
- 16:21Speaker 4: Okay? So the menus are so big. Yeah, So I'm
- 16:24Speaker 4: trying to decide and I go to put my I
- 16:25Speaker 4: put my menu down on the table there and we're
- 16:28Speaker 4: all sitting around and all of a sudden, somebody goes
- 16:30Speaker 4: actual something burning, and everybody's looking around. I put my
- 16:34Speaker 4: menu on the damn candle because there's no room on
- 16:37Speaker 4: the table.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Well, you know, you people from Newburgh, when you come
- 16:40Speaker 2: into Manhattan, would you come in on a truck like
- 16:42Speaker 2: the Beverly Hill billis or something?
- 16:45Speaker 4: In the subways? We took Yeah, we took the train
- 16:48Speaker 4: and then.
- 16:49Speaker 2: All Thomas tell of a story? Did you but did
- 16:54Speaker 2: you like the Tribeca Grill? Was it good?
- 16:56Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 16:57Speaker 3: It was?
- 16:57Speaker 4: It was a right, but it.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Was a pretty good place.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Table on fire though.
- 17:01Speaker 2: It's like that's okay, they can handle it. No, that's
- 17:03Speaker 2: a good place. It's no longer there, but yeah, all right, Thomas,
- 17:07Speaker 2: thanks for calling. It was created by its one of
- 17:09Speaker 2: those Drew and Apporrent restaurants. He's a great, great restaurant
- 17:12Speaker 2: tour he created it. But it was sort of a
- 17:14Speaker 2: De Niro theme restaurant. It was all de Niro. The
- 17:18Speaker 2: paintings on the wall were all done by De Niro
- 17:20Speaker 2: or his son, and it was like de Niro, de Niro,
- 17:23Speaker 2: de Niro, so, believe it or not. Over the last
- 17:26Speaker 2: couple of years he was De Niro got so insane
- 17:28Speaker 2: and crazy on TV screaming and cursing about Trump that
- 17:33Speaker 2: a lot of people stopped going to Tribeca Grill and
- 17:35Speaker 2: they had to close. So but I'm blanking out. A
- 17:40Speaker 2: major restaurant group has taking it, a major restaurant group,
- 17:43Speaker 2: so they're going they're going to reopen it. I forget
- 17:45Speaker 2: who it is. Let's go to Mia in Granwich, Connecticut. Mia,
- 17:48Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 17:50Speaker 7: Good morning?
- 17:51Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:52Speaker 7: I must tell you, it's so refreshing to listen to
- 17:56Speaker 7: sanity and people that actually love this country.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Yes, when you have normal common sense people listening, it's
- 18:07Speaker 2: just gone.
- 18:08Speaker 7: And it's astounding to me what normalacy now is. And
- 18:13Speaker 7: I just pray to God when this takes hold, if
- 18:17Speaker 7: it ever does, I'm long gone.
- 18:20Speaker 2: No you listen, you got there. You're in Greenwich, Connecticut.
- 18:23Speaker 2: You've got a very good mayor, Fred Camillo, good solid mayor,
- 18:26Speaker 2: doing great job.
- 18:28Speaker 7: And I fortunately you you have all the you know
- 18:32Speaker 7: Looney tune.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Well you got you got that, Governor Lamont, but you
- 18:36Speaker 2: got a chance to get rid of in November. Vote
- 18:38Speaker 2: for Ryan Fazzio. He's going to be the Republican candidate.
- 18:41Speaker 2: He'll he'll do a good job. Nice all right, thanks
- 18:45Speaker 2: for Colin. Let's go to Sonny in Manhattan. Sonny, how
- 18:48Speaker 2: you doing.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Good morning to you, Mark, Yes, I'm good. Listen. What
- 18:54Speaker 5: would only remember me from two years ago? I called
- 18:57Speaker 5: you and I called you. I said, to hours is
- 19:00Speaker 5: not enough. We need to hear more from you. You
- 19:03Speaker 5: kept saying no.
- 19:04Speaker 2: So this is your fault. You did this to me.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Blame it on me. I don't care. I promise you
- 19:10Speaker 5: you could go back and listen to the tape I called.
- 19:13Speaker 5: I said, we need to hear more from you. You
- 19:16Speaker 5: kept saying no two hours.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Well, I think that's what caused it. I think you're right.
- 19:20Speaker 2: I think at the highest levels of iHeart Corporate, they
- 19:23Speaker 2: were saying, you know that Sonny may have a point.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Let's know, I hate, I hate, I hate, I hate
- 19:28Speaker 2: to break it to you. This is doing three hours,
- 19:30Speaker 2: nine to noon. They've been pushing this for about five years.
- 19:34Speaker 5: No, no, oh really, but I think my ward had
- 19:37Speaker 5: something to do with it, and I and I'm so
- 19:40Speaker 5: glad to hear from from you for three hours.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I could beat that up there on the twelfth
- 19:45Speaker 2: floor in that massive boardroom with the fifty executives, they said,
- 19:51Speaker 2: did you hear what Sonny said? I think we have
- 19:53Speaker 2: to get seriously now that probably happened. Thanks for calling you. Actually,
- 19:58Speaker 2: this has been an idea been pushed for many, many years.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Has nothing to do with Curtis and Larry. This has
- 20:04Speaker 2: been pushed for years and years and years. Let's go
- 20:06Speaker 2: to uh oh, let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent.
- 20:12Speaker 6: How you doing, Good morning, Mark, Mark. The Mandamie administration
- 20:16Speaker 6: doesn't even have the class yesterday to show up at
- 20:20Speaker 6: the city Hall meeting on this Pierre ta tacks after
- 20:24Speaker 6: so many of those city council members. And this is
- 20:26Speaker 6: not a put down Julie men and put her political
- 20:30Speaker 6: neck on the line, and so did many others. And
- 20:33Speaker 6: he doesn't even have the class to go there and
- 20:38Speaker 6: put his political neck on the line and standing delivery.
- 20:42Speaker 6: You really believe in that go there.
- 20:44Speaker 2: He didn't even have But remember he's on vacation this week.
- 20:48Speaker 6: Well he could have sent that guy Dean Fulla and
- 20:52Speaker 6: that leftover communists from the Blazzio administration. Mark this is
- 20:58Speaker 6: not a gotcha question. Many Republican and Democratic administ presidential
- 21:04Speaker 6: administrations have benefited from the fact that why don't they
- 21:09Speaker 6: include food and energy in the marketing.
- 21:13Speaker 2: I can explain it because during the Carter years, inflation
- 21:17Speaker 2: was like eighteen percent, nineteen percent. It got embarrassing, so
- 21:21Speaker 2: they changed the way they count the number. They eliminated
- 21:24Speaker 2: food and energy. It's not in the number because they
- 21:27Speaker 2: didn't want to have the number be so embarrassing anymore.
- 21:30Speaker 6: I only say that because for some people, like a
- 21:33Speaker 6: person who has four people in a family, or even
- 21:38Speaker 6: a person like me, My biggest expenditure is I don't
- 21:43Speaker 6: have any loans, I don't have any car, payments to
- 21:45Speaker 6: make My biggest expenditures are food and energy. Yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 2: I know, but if you recalculate that now, because the
- 21:53Speaker 2: latest study shows for most people, taxes are the number one.
- 21:57Speaker 6: Expelled Mark, I automatically write all I don't even count.
- 22:03Speaker 2: That I'm telling people to pay tax I'm not talking
- 22:05Speaker 2: about you.
- 22:07Speaker 6: Of course I do it.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Oh no, of course you do it. I know you do. Vincent.
- 22:10Speaker 2: We got to go because we go, we got to
- 22:12Speaker 2: do the news. But great call, great point. When we
- 22:14Speaker 2: come back and Coulter will be with us and we'll
- 22:17Speaker 2: talk to her next on seven to ten wo R It's.
- 22:21Speaker 1: The Marximon Show Live from the w R Life Back studios.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Well and Culter, the great columnist, the best selling author,
- 22:32Speaker 2: also Rumble Star. Check out her Rumble channel and uh
- 22:36Speaker 2: don't forget substack. You can follow her on Twitter. It's
- 22:39Speaker 2: and Culter at Twitter but even better as substacks. She
- 22:42Speaker 2: had lots of stuff up there and Culter dot substack
- 22:46Speaker 2: dot com and Culter. How you doing.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Fantastic? How are you marximone?
- 22:51Speaker 2: I'm good. Are you back in the United States yet?
- 22:55Speaker 5: No?
- 22:56Speaker 3: I am not.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Oh well have you been following? Uh?
- 22:59Speaker 3: Like not until when you guys got rid of mom
- 23:02Speaker 3: Damny I'll consider coming back. Oh so too.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Well, we'll see in three years, but it'll be gone
- 23:10Speaker 2: by then. But you've been following the primaries last night Florida, Yes.
- 23:16Speaker 3: I have. Wow, Florida was really something.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yeah. So you know Florida, if you had to, you
- 23:24Speaker 2: haven't had a democratic governor since nineteen ninety nine. You've
- 23:27Speaker 2: had two great governors with Scott DeSantis, and now you've
- 23:30Speaker 2: got Byron Donald's be the next governor. Pretty good for Florida,
- 23:33Speaker 2: isn't it.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Yes, I mean I hope Donald's wins particular. I mean
- 23:39Speaker 3: there's a sign for him. Is My favorite election last
- 23:43Speaker 3: night is that then Colonel Vin.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Lost his election?
- 23:50Speaker 7: Wow?
- 23:50Speaker 4: Wow.
- 23:51Speaker 3: He's the one who inspired the first impeachment effort of
- 23:54Speaker 3: or really drove the first impeachment effort of Donald Trump,
- 23:58Speaker 3: because he, being Ukrainian himself, for some reason, was allowed
- 24:03Speaker 3: to listen in on the duly elected presidents of the
- 24:06Speaker 3: United States. His conversation with Zolenski, and one of the
- 24:10Speaker 3: things said is, hey, can you investigate this Barisma deal
- 24:15Speaker 3: with Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, which obviously stank to
- 24:19Speaker 3: high heaven. It's a perfect legitimate request. In any event,
- 24:25Speaker 3: he was very set Venemin because he wants to make
- 24:29Speaker 3: sure tax us tax payer money keeps flowing to his
- 24:32Speaker 3: home country. This is one of the wonderful things about immigrants.
- 24:36Speaker 3: We may not realize as Americans that we ought to
- 24:38Speaker 3: be sending all our money to other countries, but they're
- 24:41Speaker 3: here to remind us that, oh yes, we should, so anyway,
- 24:45Speaker 3: out of this purely pochial interest, we have this huge
- 24:48Speaker 3: impeachment effort and he what's funny is he's one of
- 24:53Speaker 3: the ones who lost to a progressive, a black lady
- 24:56Speaker 3: who had raised Nixon is her last name, I forget
- 25:00Speaker 3: her first name, Angie. She had raised about okay, thank you,
- 25:04Speaker 3: Angreie Nixon. She'd raised about eight hundred thousand dollars compared
- 25:08Speaker 3: to what had Vinman raised multiple million, sixty million. She's okay,
- 25:14Speaker 3: sixteen million. That's stunning, sixteen million to eight hundred thousand.
- 25:17Speaker 3: She couldn't didn't have enough money to run a single ad,
- 25:20Speaker 3: and she walloped him well. And she's, you know, sort
- 25:24Speaker 3: of a progressive. Not I'm not saying I endorse her politics,
- 25:27Speaker 3: but I really hate Vinzam. So that's my favorite election
- 25:30Speaker 3: of the Evening.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah, mine too. Vinman was a repulsive creep. I don't
- 25:35Speaker 2: know if he launched that whole thing. I think others
- 25:37Speaker 2: launched it, and they found him with a perfect stooge,
- 25:40Speaker 2: and they tried to convince America.
- 25:42Speaker 3: He was the one who brought it to everyone's attention because,
- 25:46Speaker 3: like I say, he's a Ukrainian. I mean, we always
- 25:50Speaker 3: have all these ethnic groups demanding that we sent more
- 25:53Speaker 3: money to their home country. And oh, we've got to
- 25:55Speaker 3: admit it was just an op ed. I'm sorry, I'll
- 25:58Speaker 3: let you finished in a second. That was rude with me.
- 26:01Speaker 3: There was just an op ed in the New York
- 26:02Speaker 3: Times last week from an Afghan refugee woman demanding we
- 26:08Speaker 3: take in more Afghans. You know, a problem of immigration
- 26:13Speaker 3: that people people don't really focus on. And forget the
- 26:17Speaker 3: bombing and the terrorism and the raping. Who's doing the raping?
- 26:22Speaker 3: How about just influencing American foreign policy so that we
- 26:26Speaker 3: have to constantly be outward looking. What I think of
- 26:29Speaker 3: Donald Trump's campaign is Americans need a little me time.
- 26:33Speaker 3: We'd like to get back to doing something for our country.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Sorry, go ahead, now, I was gonna say that Vinman
- 26:41Speaker 2: hoax that was one of the greatest fake news hoaxes ever.
- 26:43Speaker 2: They made it look Vinman. They had him put on
- 26:46Speaker 2: the dress uniform with all the metals. They made it
- 26:48Speaker 2: look like he was a major military figure, that he
- 26:51Speaker 2: was a foreign policy expert from the White House. Turned
- 26:54Speaker 2: out he was a broken down schmuck who worked three
- 26:56Speaker 2: blocks away in a cubicle. Was of no importance, just
- 26:59Speaker 2: a tiny, tiny bureaucrat. You remember, they made him wear
- 27:03Speaker 2: the full dress uniform and they had the car pull
- 27:06Speaker 2: up two blocks away so they would film him walking
- 27:08Speaker 2: down the sidewalking uniform.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes, I love when demots play acts at
- 27:16Speaker 3: that patriotic.
- 27:18Speaker 2: And then, of course it went nowhere because it was
- 27:21Speaker 2: a hoax. It was the stupidest impeachment ever. But then
- 27:24Speaker 2: he became this liberal darling. Remember Larry David even starred
- 27:27Speaker 2: him in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, And.
- 27:32Speaker 3: So yeah, that's not a good sign. I really like,
- 27:35Speaker 3: really like herb your Enthusiasm. It's so annoying when it
- 27:39Speaker 3: is woke like that. Vinman's utter catastrophic, catastrophic failure reminds
- 27:47Speaker 3: me of another one, which we've discussed before. My old
- 27:50Speaker 3: pal George Conway, like Vinman, his main Both of them
- 27:55Speaker 3: sort of ran in Democratic primaries, and their main point
- 27:59Speaker 3: was cause I bably stood up to Donald Trump, we
- 28:03Speaker 3: must stop this madman. And what was commonly came in
- 28:08Speaker 3: what like seventh of seven candidates on the Upper West
- 28:12Speaker 3: Side and Upper east Side district. Wow, So I don't
- 28:15Speaker 3: think I stood up to do this. Trump lunatic is
- 28:20Speaker 3: really working for the Democrats now.
- 28:22Speaker 2: And this is the woman that won. She's a socialist
- 28:25Speaker 2: Angie Nixon, but it's Florida, big Cuban population. They're not
- 28:29Speaker 2: going to go for that. They know better about socialism.
- 28:31Speaker 2: She has no chance to win, does she.
- 28:35Speaker 3: I don't know the districts. But also a lot of
- 28:39Speaker 3: a lot of Puerto Ricans in Florida, so it could be.
- 28:45Speaker 3: And by the way, they're becoming a little more Republican,
- 28:47Speaker 3: still majority Democrats. And again Cubans are another are another
- 28:53Speaker 3: immigrant group there. They vote, they vote there. I won't
- 28:57Speaker 3: their single issue Cuba, but pretty big issue. And I,
- 29:04Speaker 3: as my previous commentary indicates, it kind of annoys me
- 29:07Speaker 3: when people come from other countries and their big thing
- 29:10Speaker 3: is what are you going to do for the country
- 29:12Speaker 3: I came from? So illan Omar in Minnesota is like that,
- 29:16Speaker 3: shetrectly and says, my number one issue is the welfare
- 29:22Speaker 3: of the Allian people. Idea go back to some alien.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Hey and culture. We're talking about this earlier because I
- 29:31Speaker 2: think you wrote about it, you wrote a book about
- 29:33Speaker 2: this once. Democrats always have to create a boogeyman. You know,
- 29:36Speaker 2: it used to be Queanon or the alt right. They
- 29:40Speaker 2: create some boogeyman to go after. So I guess right
- 29:43Speaker 2: now it's Ice, this awful boogeyman. It's been around forever Ice,
- 29:47Speaker 2: but all of a sudden it's evil. We got to
- 29:49Speaker 2: stop it. What is that tactic? Then? Where did that
- 29:52Speaker 2: all come from? This create a boogeyman to rile people
- 29:55Speaker 2: up with.
- 29:55Speaker 3: It's not so much a tactic, as described in my
- 29:58Speaker 3: book Monic about ma and groupthink. It's a psychological compulsion
- 30:03Speaker 3: when you get a group of people together I'm starting
- 30:07Speaker 3: with the French Revolution, and get a man to do
- 30:11Speaker 3: something that he would never do on his own when
- 30:13Speaker 3: he's in a group. And obviously we see that with
- 30:16Speaker 3: all kinds of left wing mobs in America, you know,
- 30:19Speaker 3: the SEAFA, the anti Ice people often are basically the same.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Remember remember Occupy Wall Street. All all these types and
- 30:27Speaker 3: there are certain indicia of this group think one is
- 30:33Speaker 3: and very distinctive with Democratic Party, which was which was
- 30:37Speaker 3: kind of the point of my book. How all of
- 30:38Speaker 3: the characteristic group think, whoa did they describe one political
- 30:43Speaker 3: party in this country and not the other. But one
- 30:46Speaker 3: of them is that you must turn your opponents into
- 30:50Speaker 3: you know, absolute demons, whereas the people on your side
- 30:54Speaker 3: are you know, perfect angelic. And you know, as I
- 30:57Speaker 3: pointed you at the time, you mentioned on your show before,
- 31:01Speaker 3: Democratic women are constantly having sex dream about their candidates.
- 31:07Speaker 3: They did it with Clinton, they did it with Obama,
- 31:11Speaker 3: they did it with Andrew Clomer. I'm sure there are
- 31:13Speaker 3: others I'm not thinking of. But meanwhile, we're Republicans, are
- 31:18Speaker 3: always attacking our champions. We're all criticizing Republican presidents.
- 31:23Speaker 8: Even Ronald Reagan came under some rather ferocious attack from
- 31:28Speaker 8: the right flank toward the end of his administration when
- 31:31Speaker 8: he was pushing pushing glassnos with.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Gorbachev and right wingerstoodn't trust Russia. Well, Reagan was right,
- 31:39Speaker 3: But my point is, nobody had sex dreams about Reagan,
- 31:44Speaker 3: either of the Bush president and we're perfectly comfortable attacking
- 31:49Speaker 3: our own side. We want to make them better. But yes,
- 31:53Speaker 3: this this this worship and demonization, it's a psychological compulsion
- 31:59Speaker 3: when people aren't thinking rationally. They're Democrats.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Mmy, Well, get Ann Culter's book Demonic. You can read
- 32:06Speaker 2: all about this. She wrote a book about it, Demonic.
- 32:08Speaker 2: And hey, there's one big problem, and this is how
- 32:11Speaker 2: Agnes or Angie Nixon beat the Vinman. These Democrats they
- 32:16Speaker 2: are organized. Boy, they go out and they have a
- 32:19Speaker 2: ground game. They're knocking on doors, they're working phone banks.
- 32:22Speaker 2: But they're Republican supporters. They just go to these Republican
- 32:26Speaker 2: clubs and have cocktail parties. They don't go out and
- 32:28Speaker 2: get anything done. Well, you're what you're always invited to
- 32:32Speaker 2: the All they do is get you to come speak,
- 32:34Speaker 2: and they chase you around the room and take selfies.
- 32:36Speaker 2: They got to get out there and do something. Stop
- 32:38Speaker 2: with the cocktail parties, wouldn't you agree?
- 32:42Speaker 3: I think the parties, particularly the ones where I speak,
- 32:45Speaker 3: are extremely valuable, extremely valuable. No, there does have to
- 32:55Speaker 3: be I mean you need the combo platter, of course,
- 32:57Speaker 3: you want to. You want to get the donors interested
- 33:01Speaker 3: and give people the arguments that they're going making with
- 33:03Speaker 3: their neighbors and when they give, you know, little speeches
- 33:07Speaker 3: to all of their town counsels. But yeah, you need
- 33:11Speaker 3: a big ground game. You need to get more young
- 33:14Speaker 3: people involved, because they're happy to knock on doors. Just
- 33:17Speaker 3: don't make them noxious ones like the ones who were
- 33:20Speaker 3: knocking on doors for Howard Dean. Remember that those guys
- 33:23Speaker 3: in their yellow caps and they still annoyed the people
- 33:27Speaker 3: of Ayowa. Dean lost. He was supposed to have this
- 33:30Speaker 3: total brown game machine. So that isn't necessarily enough. But
- 33:35Speaker 3: I know, I don't know much about retail politics. That
- 33:38Speaker 3: isn't my saying. I'm more of a big picture person.
- 33:41Speaker 3: But my friend Ran grew dusky Is and he, like you,
- 33:45Speaker 3: was always complaining you gotta knock on doors. You need
- 33:48Speaker 3: ground game, young people involved.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Yeah all right, Well, everybody get to get that book Demonic.
- 33:53Speaker 2: It's fascinating by and culture any of her books, and
- 33:56Speaker 2: of course read her column and follow on Twitter and
- 33:59Speaker 2: culture and substack. She's got columns and videos and podcasts
- 34:04Speaker 2: on subculter dot substack dot com, and make sure you
- 34:08Speaker 2: watch her Rumble channel. A lot of great video there
- 34:11Speaker 2: and Culter on Rumble and and Culter. Thanks for being
- 34:15Speaker 2: with us.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Good to talk to you. Mark. See what you can
- 34:18Speaker 3: do about getting rid of mom Dotty.
- 34:20Speaker 2: We'll work on it. Talk to you next week. Take care. Bye. Hey,
- 34:25Speaker 2: coming up at twelve noon today, you got Buck Sexton
- 34:29Speaker 2: and Clay Travis. That's a very good show every day
- 34:32Speaker 2: noon to three. Then at three o'clock you got Sean Hannity,
- 34:36Speaker 2: that's the most listened to radio show in America. You
- 34:39Speaker 2: got Jesse Kelly at six, you got the very funny
- 34:43Speaker 2: Jimmy Faylor Show every night nine to midnight. And don't
- 34:47Speaker 2: forget you got Me Now nine to noon, nine am
- 34:50Speaker 2: till noon every day on seven ten wr.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Now nine till noon weekday, Smart Simo only on seven Ino.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Well, hey, it's gonna be a beautiful day to day,
- 35:05Speaker 2: nicest day of the week, sunny, low humidity. Take advantage
- 35:09Speaker 2: of it because tomorrow it's gonna rain, thunderstorms. That should
- 35:13Speaker 2: be better on Friday and Saturday. But this will be
- 35:15Speaker 2: the nicest day of the week, maybe the nicest day
- 35:18Speaker 2: of the whole summer. Been quite a summer. Weather was
- 35:22Speaker 2: Smoke was Canadians, smoke was Anyway, We're out of time.
- 35:26Speaker 2: I'll be back tomorrow nine to noon. Don't forget the
- 35:29Speaker 2: show's three hours now. It starts at nine o'clock every morning,
- 35:33Speaker 2: nine to noon, so i'll see you tomorrow at nine o'clock.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Have a great day, talk to you tomorrow on seven
- 35:39Speaker 2: to ten. W
