- 0:09Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simo show on wor.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Victor in Pennsylvania. Victor,
- 0:18Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 0:19Speaker 3: I'm doing great. First thing is I just heard this
- 0:23Speaker 3: morning that Leticia the idiot James is suing Trump again.
- 0:27Speaker 3: When is she being brought up on.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Her yess getting closer. It's getting closer. She will be
- 0:35Speaker 2: charged with mortgage fraud in Virginia. You got a new
- 0:39Speaker 2: US attorney who's in there working on it. She will
- 0:42Speaker 2: be charged. And look for Adam Schiff to be on
- 0:45Speaker 2: the list. Look for John Bolton to be indicted. He's
- 0:48Speaker 2: in real trouble. Let's go to Joe in New York City. Joe,
- 0:52Speaker 2: how you doing? Good morning, Mark, Mark.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Some people do not want to vote because they think
- 0:58Speaker 4: their names would put on your jury duty Listen. They
- 1:01Speaker 4: don't want to doury.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Yeah, No, let's just point out that's a total myth.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Maybe that was true fifty years ago. They get the
- 1:08Speaker 2: list from driver's licenses, from rent rolls, from taxpayer roles.
- 1:12Speaker 2: It has nothing to do with them, nothing to do
- 1:13Speaker 2: with voting, nothing to do with no connection. They use
- 1:16Speaker 2: every list imaginable. Now, so that that's an old myth.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Let's go to Richard and Bayshore. Richard, how you doing.
- 1:24Speaker 4: I'm doing well, Mark, good morning. You know right now,
- 1:27Speaker 4: forty five percent or so of MTA bus passengers are
- 1:30Speaker 4: not paying their fares anyway, it's through law enforcement, nullification
- 1:35Speaker 4: of the law, let's say, by the mayor if it's
- 1:38Speaker 4: made public.
- 1:39Speaker 2: That true, excellent point. You know this crazy MTA Jano,
- 1:43Speaker 2: liber and Hockel. They've decided to raise the fare on
- 1:46Speaker 2: the subways and buses, and there is an actual, formal,
- 1:49Speaker 2: actual study that's come out showing that half the people
- 1:54Speaker 2: are not paying the fare. They're just not paying and
- 1:56Speaker 2: nobody's enforcing it. And the what they claim they need
- 2:00Speaker 2: with the fare increase, could you could easily get much
- 2:03Speaker 2: more if you just started enforcing the fares. So and
- 2:07Speaker 2: it's easy to do. You can stop turnstile jumping in
- 2:09Speaker 2: two weeks. Ray Kelly did it, Bratton did it. Juliani did.
- 2:13Speaker 2: It's easy to do. You just started enforcing it where
- 2:15Speaker 2: it gets around real fast and nobody jumps the turnstile anymore.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So no need for that increase that they're they're going
- 2:21Speaker 2: to push on us. Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 2:24Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 2:25Speaker 5: Good morning, Mark, Mark. I'm okay. Mark. You forgot to
- 2:29Speaker 5: mention the fact that also yesterday, with these fare increases,
- 2:33Speaker 5: they're raising the easy pass tolls in everything.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, you're right now, all the bridges, tunnels, everything, exactly.
- 2:40Speaker 5: So gee, I thought the congestion pricing was supposed to
- 2:43Speaker 5: take care of all of this. I guess it's not so.
- 2:47Speaker 5: Mark AOC was crowing about if Trump doesn't sign this
- 2:52Speaker 5: Hakeem Jeffreys healthcare bill, this budget bill, people are gonna
- 2:57Speaker 5: go without their cancer tree. People are going to be
- 3:00Speaker 5: dropping that in the streets. Well, hello, I hope the
- 3:03Speaker 5: Supreme Court revisits the case about people showing up at
- 3:09Speaker 5: the er with no health insurance and making the state
- 3:15Speaker 5: and the city have to pick up the tab because
- 3:17Speaker 5: when and you'll remember this, when Bill Deblasia was running
- 3:21Speaker 5: for mayth there was a hospital of my neighborhood and
- 3:25Speaker 5: he actually got arrested. He went in front of the
- 3:27Speaker 5: hospital and said, there's no way you're going to close
- 3:30Speaker 5: this hospital. This, that, and the other. Right, Okay, Bill
- 3:33Speaker 5: de Blasio got elected. The hospital was losing twenty five
- 3:38Speaker 5: million dollars a month because when you would go in
- 3:42Speaker 5: the er and I knew a god that was working
- 3:44Speaker 5: in the ear, it looked like the Bowery in there.
- 3:47Speaker 5: It looked like bum's row. Right, So it was losing
- 3:51Speaker 5: twenty five million dollars a month, and a lot of
- 3:54Speaker 5: the hospitals in New York City, downstate Beth Israel, a
- 3:58Speaker 5: lot of Saint Vincent, they closed exactly because all these
- 4:03Speaker 5: bums shown.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Up at the Now, that's what that's what that's what
- 4:06Speaker 2: really is in the fight that you want to Democrats say,
- 4:09Speaker 2: it's not going to cover health careful. It absolutely does. Absolutely,
- 4:12Speaker 2: these fact checkers, all these fake fact checkers, it absolutely does.
- 4:15Speaker 2: That's where it covers it. It reimburses the hospital for
- 4:18Speaker 2: all those costs and exactly.
- 4:21Speaker 5: But there is a lot of costs like for example,
- 4:25Speaker 5: yesterday I had to go and see a new orthopedic surgeon.
- 4:29Speaker 5: I wasn't in the system, so I had to. So
- 4:31Speaker 5: when they when I made the appointment, the secretary told me,
- 4:35Speaker 5: you got to bring your insurance god, and you got
- 4:38Speaker 5: to bring positive ID you got to bring a driver's
- 4:42Speaker 5: license or a passport unless you're not going through the
- 4:46Speaker 5: front door, because they want to know that if you
- 4:49Speaker 5: don't pay, if some something is not paid out on,
- 4:52Speaker 5: they want to know where to bill you.
- 4:54Speaker 2: All right, Vincent, great call, Thanks for calling. Always great.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Uh.
- 4:59Speaker 2: By the way, well we have to have a driver's license.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Well they've come out with a new driver's license now
- 5:04Speaker 2: with no name on it. It's a it'll actually say
- 5:07Speaker 2: where the name is. It'll say no name given. You
- 5:09Speaker 2: can have a blank driver's license with no name. This
- 5:11Speaker 2: is not a joke. Remind me. We'll get to it
- 5:13Speaker 2: in the next hour. But when we come back, Steve
- 5:16Speaker 2: Moore will be with us. The Brilliant Economist coming up
- 5:19Speaker 2: next on seven to ten wor
