Speaker 1: yes, I kept seeing the zero, zero, zero, zero, zero 10 million dollars in sales success with her bpc clients bank uh, I'm gonna say bank, I'm thinking of the money 10 million book profits club.

Speaker 1: I love that, taria, cause I tell you I was in your first magazine.
• 3:13
Speaker 1: We were talking about that in 2022.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, I got in your first magazine, yeah, so so thank you and welcome to the show.
• 3:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, this bio is very powerful, what you're saying here and what you've been doing, and you brought it here, girl, I tell you.
• 3:26
Speaker 1: I remember I wrote my first book, god, I say this because I said I would never write a book.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: I mean, when you was getting this, I would never write a book, never say never Do you know what I'm saying.
• 3:38
  Speaker 2: Never say never.
• 3:38
Speaker 2: God has a plan for you and I remember seeing Nicole.
• 3:41
Speaker 1: She said Wanda, god told me to call you.
• 3:42
Speaker 1: She was my client.
• 3:43
Speaker 1: She said, well, god told me to call you.
• 3:45
Speaker 1: I said, well, what did he say?
• 3:46
Speaker 1: He wants you to be in my book, audacity to Shine.
• 3:49
Speaker 1: I said, well, I really didn't want to do that.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: But I said, ok, god said so.
• 3:53
Speaker 1: Then I got to do it.
• 4:06
Speaker 2: So that was my first time actually writing my collaboration book, and that's why I named my and not because of that, but I named my podcast ready set collaborate with one.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: I love it, you know because I wanted the entrepreneur to collaborate.
• 4:10
Speaker 1: How can we collaborate with one another?
• 4:12
Speaker 1: So, yeah, no, thank you so much, and uh, really, your bio says a lot here, so I want to ask you a couple questions here yes now.
• 4:19
Speaker 1: What helped thousands of authors launch and profit from their books?
• 4:23
Speaker 1: What inspired you you to start the Book Profits Club?
• 4:26
Speaker 2: Well, first of all, how I even got into the book space.
• 4:30
Speaker 2: That started back in 2012 when I wrote well, 2012 was when I wrote my first book.
• 4:36
Speaker 2: Then, 2015 is when I decided that I wanted to help other people to do it.
• 4:40
Speaker 2: Not because I really cared about people writing books.
• 4:43
Speaker 2: I cared about showing people how to market their business, and so, at the time, I used to be in network marketing.
• 4:48
Speaker 2: And network marketing just like with any industry, you know, it's a small, it's like a small, you know small group, right?
• 4:55
Speaker 2: So, yes, it's a lot of people in the industry, but when you look with in, like the whole world, it's a small percentage of people in the industry.
• 5:04
Speaker 2: And so I knew that I wanted to create an opportunity for me to be able to reach people outside of the industry that maybe didn't necessarily respect network marketing, but they respect entrepreneurship.
• 5:15
Speaker 2: And so I wrote my book for that sole purpose, so that I could build trust and gain credibility in those additional audiences which I saw.
• 5:24
Speaker 2: And so the truth is, when I decided I wanted to get into this book space, it wasn't because I necessarily wanted to.
• 5:32
Speaker 2: At the time when I wrote my first book, wanda, I was gonna literally use it to help build my network marketing business.
• 5:38
Speaker 2: But the leadership thought otherwise and so we ended up having this leadership meeting in Houston, texas, last minute, and I was called out in front of all the leaders not directly, but directly because he said we know that there's leaders here that have written a book.
• 5:56
Speaker 2: I was the only one who had just came out with a book and he was like if you're trying to build your own platform, then you can't be on the platform.
• 6:05
Speaker 2: And I just thought how disappointing it was that he didn't understand the benefit of being an author, because I never had become an author so that I could try to like, take over.
• 6:15
Speaker 2: And you know, wanda, you know how it is in network marketing.
• 6:18
Speaker 2: When you build this organization, people are very territorial and it's like oh, we don't want you to try to steal our group because you about to go make a move and go to another company.
• 6:26
Speaker 2: It was never my intention.
• 6:27
Speaker 2: I didn't love it, I didn't love network marketing that much to even try to go to another company.
• 6:32
Speaker 2: I really wanted to build something that would be my own for real.
• 6:37
Speaker 2: And so when he didn't understand that concept, and then number two put me out in front of all the folks.
• 6:41
Speaker 2: I knew that I was not going to be staying there much longer, and that's when I was like, okay, what can I do?
• 6:47
Speaker 2: And the only alternative was well, there was multiple.
• 6:50
Speaker 2: I could get a job, but at that moment I was making over $350,000 a year the last job I ever had.
• 6:58
  Speaker 2: I made $26,000 a year.
• 7:00
Speaker 2: There was no job that I knew of that would pay me the type of income I had gotten accustomed to.
• 7:05
Speaker 2: Number two I could have went to another network marketing company and just built it all over, but I didn't have a big passion.
• 7:12
Speaker 2: No disrespect to those who love the industry, but I had really got what I needed to get learned, what I needed to learn, and it was time for me to do something else.
• 7:20
Speaker 2: I didn't want to build another organization, so instead of me doing that, I said why don't I just create my own coaching program?
• 7:27
Speaker 2: And that's what got me into it because someone did not understand the power of being an author.
• 7:31
Speaker 2: So when I was then trying to figure out what should I coach on, well, the one thing I paid attention to was what was it that most people kept asking me how I did it?
• 7:40
Speaker 2: And it was the book.
• 7:41
Speaker 2: Everybody was like how'd you write your book?
• 7:43
Speaker 2: And or how long did it take for you?
• 7:49
Speaker 2: Because it took me 30 days.
• 7:49
Speaker 1: So I got into that space doing that.
• 7:50
Speaker 1: That's long story short, short story long.
• 7:52
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's great because I was actually going to ask you about your journey, but you actually told us about a journey in entrepreneurial.
• 7:55
Speaker 1: But you know, you were so right, uh, me being in, uh, oh, the network marketing, you know, with our company I remember, in fact, we talk about Angie.
• 8:06
Speaker 1: Angie told me Wanda, you need to build your own brand.
• 8:08
Speaker 1: I said, well, I need to get my own brand.
• 8:10
  Speaker 1: What happened?
• 8:11
Speaker 1: Because that network marketing may not be there in the future.
• 8:16
Speaker 1: So I said so I did create my own brand, which is WD Pearson Associates, which I'm glad I did.
• 8:21
Speaker 1: And the same thing happened to me, taria, where I actually had put my services that I did in my WD Pearson Associates website and I got reprimanded.
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: No what?
• 8:34
  Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
• 8:35
Speaker 1: You got to take that out.
• 8:37
Speaker 2: So I said and they tell us that we have our own business.
• 8:40
Speaker 2: But then it's like this, worse than a job, because, like y'all, can cut off my check immediately for just whatever cause you feel like it and there's nothing I can do.
• 8:48
  Speaker 2: So wow.
• 8:50
Speaker 1: Exactly, and it does, because that was me and my husband's services.
• 8:53
Speaker 1: So I said I still have my services, so I wanted to make sure that I still utilize them as far as a coaching and consulting which I still do, but I just can't put that name in my website is what it is.
• 9:05
Speaker 1: So yeah, so no, it's still working out here.
• 9:07
Speaker 1: So now, what do you believe the biggest myths about writing the book and making money from it?
• 9:16
Speaker 2: Girl, you got me coughing up over here.
• 9:17
Speaker 2: Biggest myth Number one the biggest myth is so many I don't even know what you want to start with, but I to start with.
• 9:25
Speaker 2: But I'll start with this one because this is what I get with most people that everybody wants to write their own story or that, oh, I need to tell my story in a book.
• 9:33
Speaker 2: The biggest myth is that, no, you don't.
• 9:36
Speaker 2: What people are looking for is not necessarily your life story, unless they already know who you are.
• 9:42
Speaker 2: So generally they like to buy life stories of celebrities.
• 9:45
Speaker 2: But until we get to that space, what they want to know is how did you overcome a specific area in your life?
• 9:53
Speaker 2: Right now there are millions, billions of people online Googling how to do one, two, three like simple steps, and if you could create a whole movement behind that, your book can lead to so many streams of income.
• 10:10
Speaker 2: So that's the biggest myth.
• 10:11
Speaker 2: A lot of people like, oh, I got to tell my story.
• 10:13
Speaker 2: Listen, I have never written a biography only because I haven't even finished living life yet.
• 10:19
Speaker 2: Like my life is is nowhere close to where I'm going to finish.
• 10:25
Speaker 2: So if I'm saying that I got to write a life story, then I'm saying that my story is over, so to me that's a myth.
• 10:31
Speaker 2: It's nothing wrong with using portions of your story in your book, but not necessarily thinking that once I write this book, it's the end, all be all.
• 10:39
Speaker 2: Because, truth be told, a lot of people that I work with that are writing their stories.
• 10:42
Speaker 2: They never it's like to write in their stories.
• 10:44
Speaker 2: They never it's like.
• 10:44
Speaker 2: They never have a chance to finish because, like, oh, I got to add this and then I got to add that, yeah, cause you're still living life.
• 10:49
Speaker 2: So if you learn how to create something centered around what you've overcome, I promise you more people will be more more excited about that than knowing who Taria Avant is.
• 11:01
  Speaker 2: Like.
• 11:01
Speaker 2: I haven't yet hit that level where people are Googling my life story.
• 11:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, and that, and that makes sense Exactly, and that's exactly what I'm doing here, because I would never write a book.
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: Tell it why.
• 11:11
Speaker 1: Why should I do this?
• 11:11
Speaker 1: So that is so true.
• 11:13
Speaker 1: And I love how you said that, because I get a lot of people when I for my first you know to collaborate, they said, well, I want to write a book, how do I do this?
• 11:20
Speaker 1: So I never, ever, thought about it.
• 11:33
Speaker 1: As far as what you were saying there, and even like um etaline was telling me, wanda, you can do that as far as coaching that part.
• 11:35
Speaker 1: So, yes, you know, so it's so much to to learn, so much so many people that want to learn, and here you are to be able to help them to know how to, to proceed, so it's a lot of people that are scared to do that.
• 11:41
Speaker 1: I mean, it's funny how now I'm on my third yeah, exactly, I'm actually writing my fourth book and they're still waiting.
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: From years ago.
• 11:50
Speaker 1: That has it on the journal.
• 11:52
Speaker 1: How do I get this off the journal into a book?
• 11:56
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 11:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, so you know it can be scary too, because you know the thing is, when you finally put something out like that, it's really a legacy builder.
• 12:04
Speaker 2: Something out like that, it's really a legacy builder.
• 12:07
Speaker 2: When we talk about really leaving legacy, that's something that you can leave to your family and you want to make sure it's right.
• 12:11
Speaker 2: You want to make sure it's perfect.
• 12:12
  Speaker 2: But guess what?
• 12:13
Speaker 2: None of us are perfect.
• 12:14
Speaker 2: There's no such thing, as I've read books by John C Maxwell that had grammatical errors in them.
• 12:21
Speaker 2: So it can be scary because, yes, you're going to be judged, but trust me when I tell you on everything I love Wanda.
• 12:26
Speaker 2: Be scary because, yes, you're going to be judged, but trust me when I tell you on everything.
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: I love.
• 12:29
Speaker 1: Wanda, they judge us anyways, might as well, judge us doing work, doing stuff that the majority will never do.
• 12:35
Speaker 1: Exactly, yeah, exactly, I love that.
• 12:36
Speaker 1: I love that, and you said it.
• 12:37
Speaker 1: You said it right and that's why I did mine.
• 12:39
  Speaker 1: Because of legacy.
• 12:39
Speaker 1: I want to leave a legacy to my grandchildren, to my daughters, you know, to my husband.
• 12:44
Speaker 1: So, no, that is so true.
• 12:45
Speaker 1: So you talk about books being more than products.
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: They're platforms.
• 12:48
Speaker 1: Can you explain what you mean by that?
• 12:51
Speaker 2: Well, I believe that a book can create a platform for you, right?
• 12:55
Speaker 2: So it should be able to open up doors for you.
• 12:57
Speaker 2: For example, I was just at an event the other day and I happened to have my book on me, the one that teaches about how to turn your book into a five-figure-per-month business.
• 13:06
Speaker 2: And by me having that book, I immediately got an opportunity to come and speak at an event.
• 13:12
Speaker 2: I gave a copy of that book away to the person who was hosting the event.
• 13:16
Speaker 2: See, this is why I wrote my book in the first place to use it as kind of like a business card that can do all the talking for me.
• 13:23
Speaker 2: And, ironically, what's crazy is that you can write about anything.
• 13:27
Speaker 2: You, you know, they've got relationship gurus out there right now how to find the love of your life and they don't even have a love.
• 13:33
Speaker 2: Okay, and so how does it create a platform?
• 13:36
Speaker 2: Because, whatever it is you decide to write about, you now immediately become the expert in it.
• 13:41
Speaker 2: Now, granted, you really should probably be the expert because you will get found out, but it creates those opportunities.
• 13:47
Speaker 2: And then you turn that book into opportunities to get on shows like this.
• 13:51
Speaker 2: You turn that book into opportunities to speak on more stages.
• 13:54
Speaker 2: You turn that opportunity to get into magazines and media, but it should create a platform that gives you opportunities to touch people in more ways than just one time reading your book.
• 14:07
Speaker 2: Let's use Harry Potter, I love to always talk about Harry Potter than just one time reading your book.
• 14:08
Speaker 2: Let's use Harry Potter.
• 14:08
Speaker 2: I love to always talk about Harry Potter.
• 14:10
Speaker 2: Harry Potter is not a book, it's a movement.
• 14:12
Speaker 2: They've got Harry Potter groups, you know.
• 14:14
Speaker 2: They got people that get around that pretend to do magic.
• 14:18
  Speaker 2: I don't know if they really think, I don't know.
• 14:20
Speaker 2: Listen, I've seen some magic tricks where they blow you away, right, but they literally have wizard groups where they buy the capes, they buy the wands.
• 14:27
  Speaker 2: It's a community.
• 14:28
Speaker 2: They've got movies, they've got whatever products merch.
• 14:33
Speaker 2: So when you have the right book and you think beyond just people flipping the pages, you create something that now becomes an entire movement, which, of course, gets you on those platforms.
• 14:46
Speaker 1: That is so true.
• 14:46
  Speaker 1: I love that.
• 14:47
Speaker 1: So how important is branding and visibility for authors who want to make an impact and income?
• 14:53
Speaker 2: Well, it's absolutely important, but the problem is that people think that, being listed on some of these third-party websites, I won't get into it.
• 15:00
Speaker 2: I will go off on a tangent but people think being listed on these third-party websites is marketing.
• 15:05
  Speaker 2: It is not.
• 15:05
Speaker 2: It's 11,000 books that are published every single day, 11,000 yesterday, 11,000 today, 11,000 tomorrow.
• 15:13
Speaker 2: Out of the 11,000, only 1,000 of them will actually do over.
• 15:19
Speaker 2: Listen to this $1,000 in sales for the whole year.
• 15:23
Speaker 2: So that means there's 10,000 books every single day that are flopping.
• 15:27
  Speaker 2: Basically, right, why?
• 15:29
Speaker 2: Because putting it on a third party website is not marketing.
• 15:32
Speaker 2: Marketing is me going to the chamber event yesterday and making sure I had two copies of my book in my hand and getting them in the hands of decision makers.
• 15:42
Speaker 2: Making sure that you know when I'm out and about and eating, my books are always in hand, ready to give away.
• 15:46
Speaker 2: Making sure that you know when I'm out and about and eating, my books are always in hand, ready to give away.
• 15:49
Speaker 2: Making sure that, hey, if I'm writing a book that's designed to help, you know, um, mothers, uh, to build better relationships with their kids, I'm going over to all of these, uh, childcare agencies and saying, hey, I'm the author of this, I want to come and do a free workshop with your moms and talk to.
• 16:06
Speaker 2: This is what branding is, but the book is kind of like having the prefix of doctor in front of you.
• 16:11
Speaker 2: So when you say, hey, I'm the author of how to build better relationships with your kids, it's like, oh really, yes, and I would love to be able to come in and do a free workshop and I can make sure that every single one of the mothers get a copy of my book.
• 16:24
  Speaker 2: That's marketing, guys.
• 16:26
Speaker 2: And so you got to be willing to put yourself out there.
• 16:29
Speaker 2: And yes, there's other ways to market, but a lot of times that costs money.
• 16:32
Speaker 2: You want to get on the radio, which you know.
• 16:34
Speaker 2: Old school marketing techniques are actually coming back.
• 16:37
Speaker 2: Okay, there's different ways that you can invest to get in front of people.
• 16:40
Speaker 2: So that is great.
• 16:41
Speaker 2: You know investing to be on different platforms.
• 16:46
Speaker 2: If W, you know investing to be on different platforms.
• 16:50
Speaker 2: If, if Wanda says, hey, listen, I've got an opportunity for a commercial for you to talk about your book and transformation, you should invest into it.
• 16:54
  Speaker 2: That is marketing.
• 16:55
Speaker 2: Now, branding that's a whole nother question and I like to make it as simple as this, because a lot of people always talk about I'm rebranding, rebranding I don't believe.
• 17:04
Speaker 2: No, branding is what people say you do.
• 17:08
Speaker 2: So if somebody was to ask, well, what does Taria do, you say, well, she's the book profits, queen, or she helps you to make money with your books.
• 17:15
Speaker 2: You know who I am, because I've built a brand and a trust where people can see a tangible result, and so what I see with a lot of authors because that's the space I'm in is it's very general.
• 17:27
Speaker 2: We have no idea what you do and how you show up and serve, and so the more that you can be able to show people and tell people how you show up and how you serve, regardless of what the book is about, it's all about the end in mind.
• 17:40
Speaker 2: That is what branding for me is.
• 17:43
Speaker 2: What do people say about you when they're trying to identify what it is that you do?
• 17:49
Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, and I want to drop the mic.
• 17:51
Speaker 1: Okay, absolutely, thank you, I love it.
• 17:53
Speaker 1: So what are some common mistakes that authors make when launching their book?
• 18:05
Speaker 2: Well, I don't believe in doing book launches anymore, because, if you think about it, what do people do with the people that come to a book launch?
• 18:13
Speaker 2: What are they coming to do?
• 18:13
Speaker 2: Buy a book, but guess what?
• 18:16
Speaker 2: They probably already bought the book, because today it's easy to sell books online.
• 18:21
Speaker 2: Now, when book launches and book tours were created, this was way before we had the ability to sell stuff all types of ways.
• 18:28
Speaker 2: I mean you can create your online website, you can do cash, app, zelle, all the things, so it's easy for you to sell books.
• 18:34
Speaker 2: And so what happens is, when you create a book launch, you're basically having everybody who already bought the book come to an event that you're spending money on.
• 18:43
Speaker 2: So it's not really creating like an opportunity for more.
• 18:48
Speaker 2: And so, instead of doing a book launch, I recommend doing an event.
• 18:52
Speaker 2: I'll give you an example.
• 18:53
Speaker 2: I got a client right now that's going to be.
• 18:55
Speaker 2: She's one of my VIP clients and she's doing a book cover reveal, and I told her I said I don't recommend we call it just a book cover reveal.
• 19:01
Speaker 2: We need to call it what the book is about, and it's about overcoming grief.
• 19:06
Speaker 2: Right, she lost her daughter due to fentanyl.
• 19:09
Speaker 2: We know that this is a big topic and there's so many parents right now who are not knowing how to deal with this and so, before they go and see the book cover reveal of my client not knowing who she is because she is an influencer, but everybody don't know who she is, who she is because she is an influencer, but everybody don't know who she is right Well, if they go and see how to overcome loss the loss of a child, the loss of a marriage, the loss of your emotional stability I'm more likely to want to come to that event and then at the event you can still celebrate the book.
• 19:43
Speaker 2: You do not have to convince people to buy books, it's so easy, so I don't need to really promote.
• 19:46
Speaker 2: Still celebrate the book.
• 19:46
Speaker 2: You do not have to convince people to buy books, it's so easy, so I don't need to really promote and highlight the book itself.
• 19:51
Speaker 2: I'm going to promote the result, I'm going to promote the transformation so that then when you're coming, you're coming with an expectation of transforming and people do not transfer money until you can transfer some emotion.
• 20:05
Speaker 2: So if you want them to be willing to invest into the retreat, to invest it to some additional you know the journaling, the masterclass instead of calling it a launch, a book launch, where we're only coming with the intention of getting my book signed that I already paid for.
• 20:20
Speaker 2: Let's call it an event.
• 20:21
Speaker 2: Let's call it what the event is going to be helping people to do and then you still celebrate the book.
• 20:26
Speaker 2: Does that make sense?
• 20:27
Speaker 2: So that's one of the mistakes I see people make.
• 20:29
Speaker 2: And then also the second mistake is not planning the what's next.
• 20:34
Speaker 2: If you think about any self-help author, right, I got this book right here called the Compound Effect.
• 20:39
Speaker 2: This gentleman is the publisher of Success Magazine, darren Hardy.
• 20:46
Speaker 2: But Darren Hardy also has his own coaching and mastermind programs.
• 20:50
Speaker 2: Well, when I got this book, that's all I remember seeing in the book talking about hey, in my mastermind programs, when you work with me, da, da, da, da.
• 20:58
Speaker 2: So the purpose of having this book was to lead those readers to the what's next.
• 21:03
Speaker 2: Most people that actually buy your book will not read it to its entirety.
• 21:06
Speaker 2: I got this book right here and I didn't have for years.
• 21:09
Speaker 2: It's a great book, but I have not read the whole book.
• 21:11
Speaker 2: I really read it just enough and most think about it.
• 21:14
Speaker 2: How many books do we have where we didn't read the whole book Right, but the truth is is we're looking for a resolve, we're looking for something to be solved.
• 21:22
Speaker 2: So if I say, okay, darren Hardy is the one for me, I want to go to his event.
• 21:25
Speaker 2: That should lead me to the what's next.
• 21:28
Speaker 2: Okay, taria Avant is the one for me, I want to work with her.
• 21:31
Speaker 2: Okay, wanda Pearson, she's it, I want her services.
• 21:35
Speaker 2: So you got to think about, when you're writing this book, being able to read, redirect your reader to the what's next.
• 21:44
Speaker 1: Yes, I tell you, you're dropping so many nuggets out here, girl.
• 21:50
Speaker 2: Listen, those nuggets are seeds and I look forward to the seeds turning into incredible harvests.
• 21:56
  Speaker 1: Absolutely so.
• 21:57
Speaker 1: Can you give us a glimpse of your signature system or framework that helps authors generate consistent income?
• 22:04
Speaker 2: Yes, there's two parts to it and this is within our Book Profits Club program.
• 22:08
Speaker 2: We have what we call the success schedule and the success funnel.
• 22:11
Speaker 2: The success funnel is creating four items.
• 22:14
Speaker 2: That that's all you need four items to build a seven figure business.
• 22:19
Speaker 2: So if you are not even trying to get to seven figures, it's going to help you to build a five figure.
• 22:23
Speaker 2: It's going to help you to build a six.
• 22:25
Speaker 2: Your four items are number one what can you offer for free?
• 22:28
Speaker 2: Which is a free as far as financially?
• 22:31
Speaker 2: We call that a hook.
• 22:32
Speaker 2: Item Number two your intro.
• 22:34
Speaker 2: That is your book.
• 22:34
Speaker 2: Number three your core.
• 22:36
Speaker 2: It's a middle price product, not meeting people where they can afford you, but where they're comfortable.
• 22:42
Speaker 2: I have a specific audience that I serve.
• 22:44
  Speaker 2: It's not a range Okay.
• 22:46
Speaker 2: So I don't say okay, well, I can, they can buy my core.
• 22:49
Speaker 2: If they can't afford my premium, that's not my client.
• 22:52
Speaker 2: My client can afford them all.
• 22:54
Speaker 2: It's just I have, they have not.
• 22:56
Speaker 2: Yet you know, I haven't earned the trust yet for them to invest into the premium.
• 22:59
Speaker 2: Does that make sense?
• 23:00
Speaker 2: So I have a middle price and then I have my premium product and if you learn how to leverage your book the right way, you can get your book in front of 50 people per month, not 600 plus people.
• 23:15
Speaker 2: What it takes in order for you to make $10,000 a month, you got to get your book in front of 667 plus people, okay.
• 23:18
Speaker 2: But if you can follow our system and get it in front of 50, this is how you will build a six to seven figure business, and we do this by following the success schedule, which guess what y'all?
• 23:29
Speaker 2: I'll give you more information on how to learn that schedule, the things that you should be doing every month.
• 23:35
Speaker 2: That equate to two to four hours worth of consistent work every day.
• 23:39
Speaker 2: That's it, not 40 hours that we're used to working with someone else's dreams and goals, right?
• 23:45
Speaker 2: Two to four hours of consistent activity following the success schedule, and in 90 days, I promise you're gonna start to see results.
• 23:56
Speaker 1: Mm-hmm, yeah, I love it, I love it.
• 23:58
Speaker 1: So let's talk about because, girl, I can have you on for a whole hour, but I know we've gotten down, we're dwindling down here, so let's talk about collaboration and impact.
• 24:05
Speaker 1: So you built a powerful community, right, mm-hmm?
• 24:08
Speaker 1: So how has collaboration played a role in your success and the success of your clients?
• 24:14
Speaker 2: Well, I'm telling you there's three different type of people that you're going to connect with.
• 24:17
Speaker 2: You're going to connect with either a customer, you're going to connect with someone who's great at connecting you to people, and then number three is a collaborator.
• 24:24
Speaker 2: Now, this may be someone who does something similar to what you do, or they might do something different, but you guys can serve the same audience.
• 24:32
Speaker 2: Collaborating is what truly has allowed Book Profits Club to feel more like family than more like a okay, this is just a regular organization.
• 24:41
Speaker 2: We are built upon that.
• 24:43
Speaker 2: We have members who are working together and doing events together, who are buying from each other, who are referring each other.
• 24:50
Speaker 2: For me, collaboration is powerful.
• 24:52
Speaker 2: The challenge that I do find a lot of times, though, is that, depending upon where you were born or how you were brought up, a lot of us never really were taught collaboration, so it's something that's very difficult for us to wrap our heads around, but there's so many communities Wanda where literally, there's a nail salon being built right beside me.
• 25:10
Speaker 2: That looks like all of these big, nice nail salons that are opening up, and we already know that is a collaborative effort.
• 25:17
Speaker 2: They say, okay, it's now Jane Doe's turn to own the nail salon.
• 25:21
Speaker 2: Let us all put our resources together to build up Jane Doe.
• 25:26
Speaker 2: If we can learn to do that with each other in our communities, we will start to see our businesses grow so much faster, and so I'm a big believer in collaboration.
• 25:37
Speaker 2: It takes time, it takes patience, it takes growth understanding, and you also must understand the intentions of each person.
• 25:47
Speaker 2: So it sometimes takes being willing to have those conversations.
• 25:50
Speaker 2: So I'm big on collaboration, wanda, which is why I love this podcast and, I believe, every single one of you guys listening.
• 25:57
Speaker 2: I don't care what kind of business you're in or even if you are working a job that you love.
• 26:02
Speaker 2: There are ways that you can collaborate with even people who do what you do to build yourself and themselves up much faster.
• 26:11
  Speaker 1: Absolutely.
• 26:12
Speaker 1: You know, it's funny because one of our ladies I met we got to do a workshop, a webinar seminar, on collaboration.
• 26:19
Speaker 1: She's marketing, I'm legal, so how do we build this together?
• 26:22
Speaker 1: And the collaboration is so important.
• 26:24
Speaker 1: That's why, when I actually started during COVID and being on Angie's show, she got me on Facebook first time.
• 26:31
Speaker 1: I said, girl, you can do this one and just throw you out here, but collaboration is the key to success.
• 26:38
Speaker 1: No matter what you do, it's the key to success and how you work together, and that's the part that we really need to do work more together, and I love the people in the community, like you were saying, that can know.
• 26:49
Speaker 1: Let's bring this part in.
• 26:50
Speaker 1: Let's bring this part in.
• 26:51
Speaker 1: How can we put it together to work together.
• 26:53
Speaker 1: So I love it.
• 26:55
Speaker 1: I love what you have here.
• 26:56
Speaker 1: So now, how can new authors or aspiring entrepreneurs benefit from being part of the Book Profits Club?
• 27:03
Speaker 2: Well, you're going to.
• 27:03
Speaker 2: Of course, it's all about community.
• 27:05
Speaker 2: So we have one of the best communities I feel out here and I don't take any credit.
• 27:10
Speaker 2: I give all of that to God.
• 27:12
Speaker 2: God helped me to create the vision behind that.
• 27:15
Speaker 2: So we have an amazing community.
• 27:17
Speaker 2: We also have incredible resources.
• 27:19
Speaker 2: For example, wanda she has her incredible podcast and every Thursday what we do is we reach out to podcasts all over the world and we pitch them out to our BPC members.
• 27:30
Speaker 2: So every Thursday we send that out.
• 27:31
Speaker 2: But we also provide resources like conferences and workshops and magazines and media articles, and so we have incredible resources that are available to our members, on top of the opportunity of also the software, and so we have an all-in-one software that is white labeled.
• 27:49
Speaker 2: But what we do is we provide top-notch support.
• 27:52
Speaker 2: We have a support team literally online every single day If you have questions, you wanna get stuff gradually growing.
• 27:59
Speaker 2: You can literally run your entire business with this software.
• 28:03
Speaker 2: So we provide the resources, we provide the tools with the products.
• 28:07
Speaker 2: We also provide you guys with the media outlets and then, most of all important, the community.
• 28:12
  Speaker 1: Absolutely, absolutely.
• 28:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, she definitely have a.
• 28:15
Speaker 1: I'm still trying to learn that system here.
• 28:17
Speaker 1: I need help because I'm not that technical person.
• 28:20
  Speaker 2: Every Wednesday.
• 28:21
Speaker 2: Wanda, you need to plug it every Wednesday at one o'clock.
• 28:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, if I don't, I actually did get the replay, so it's great.
• 28:28
Speaker 1: I mean, amna is really good with that and she's been helping me a lot with getting stuff set up with that, so I appreciate that.
• 28:34
Speaker 1: So can you share any memorable success stories you can share from your students or community?
• 28:40
Speaker 2: Oh, any memorable success stories you can share from your students or community.
• 28:43
Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness, there's so many and again, that's just all praise.
• 28:46
Speaker 2: Be to God I can.
• 28:47
Speaker 2: I can share so many.
• 28:47
Speaker 2: You know, I'll use Deshonda Jennings.
• 28:48
Speaker 2: Dr Deshonda Jennings currently right now is getting ready to launch her very first national child care and family legacy conference and award ceremony.
• 28:59
Speaker 2: And the reason why I want to highlight her is because when she was one of our first members okay, deshonda was with us before Book Profits Club was Book Profits Club.
• 29:08
Speaker 2: She's been plugged in when I had Urban CEO, which we are going to get that back a-rocking and a-rolling but Deshonda was able to build a six-figure business from home in the childcare industry and when I was telling her, you got to start focusing on coaching people in that space, it was definitely a big challenge, right, because it's hard sometimes to say, okay, I'm going to focus just on one area, especially because God has not made us very not made many of us monolithic.
• 29:33
Speaker 2: We have so many different gifts, right, but we can literally build a business just focused on one transformation.
• 29:40
Speaker 2: So she was all over the place.
• 29:42
Speaker 2: She wanted to coach on this and coach on that and do this and do that and it took a minute.
• 29:47
Speaker 2: And then I remember seeing a young lady who literally has now made seven figures coaching people in the child care space.
• 29:56
Speaker 2: I was like this time to grow, that's supposed to be you.
• 29:58
Speaker 2: She's literally so niche, like how to do it.
• 30:01
Speaker 2: She's like I know, but don't worry about it.
• 30:03
Speaker 2: And this year we just had our Ignite to Profits and we celebrated her as one of our top income earners, also because she hired our team to help her with her conference, and I got a chance to interview some of the nominees of those that are coming to the conference.
• 30:20
Speaker 2: And I was telling her today I was like you know, as I was interviewing these nominees, I was, first of all, it was a proud moment because most of them all were just like you they had just had a baby, they were making a great income and they didn't want to leave their baby, so they had to figure out a way to make money.
• 30:39
Speaker 2: And I was like you are really starting to niche your audience down and I can tell you just just from what they're saying on these interviews you about to change so many lives.
• 30:48
Speaker 2: And so to me that's an amazing story because she's operating in a space where she absolutely knows she's still impacting lives.
• 30:56
Speaker 2: You know, a lot of times we say, okay, why?
• 30:58
Speaker 2: But I want to impact and encourage and empower.
• 31:01
  Speaker 2: That's exactly what she's doing.
• 31:02
Speaker 2: She's impacting, empowering, she's changing lives, but with a specific niche.
• 31:07
Speaker 2: And so we've got multiple books.
• 31:09
Speaker 2: She just finished a book.
• 31:10
Speaker 2: We did a three-day camp just finished it.
• 31:13
Speaker 2: That's going to be getting ready to go to formatting and editing and she's just really flourishing in this childcare space.
• 31:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's awesome, I see her.
• 31:23
  Speaker 2: I see you.
• 31:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, she's doing her thing our big one.
• 31:28
  Speaker 1: That is awesome.
• 31:32
Speaker 1: So we're going to actually start closing it down.
• 31:33
Speaker 1: So what's one piece of advice you would give to someone who's sitting on their story but hasn't started writing yet?
• 31:36
Speaker 1: We were talking about that earlier, right?
• 31:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, somebody right now needs you, needs to know how you did what you did.
• 31:42
Speaker 2: Somebody needs to know.
• 31:44
Speaker 2: And God forbid, if you got called home tomorrow, what would that feel like?
• 31:48
Speaker 2: So, like, stop waiting, I don't got time.
• 31:52
  Speaker 2: Yes, you do.
• 31:53
Speaker 2: If you like to watch TV, you got plenty of time.
• 31:55
Speaker 2: You like to go hang out?
• 31:56
Speaker 2: You got time, stop it.
• 31:58
Speaker 2: There is somebody right now who needs your story, not one similar.
• 32:04
Speaker 2: They need to know how you were able to overcome what you overcame.
• 32:08
Speaker 2: It's never about me.
• 32:09
Speaker 2: It's about the person who I am called to impact.
• 32:12
Speaker 2: So you must remember that, guys, god does not have us waking up every day for just us.
• 32:17
Speaker 2: If that was the case, we would be gone.
• 32:18
Speaker 2: There is a reason why we are here and that is to impact someone's life and everything you've experienced all the bad days, the good days, the challenges, the setbacks, the crying times, the losing times those are designed to help somebody else.
• 32:34
  Speaker 1: Absolutely.
• 32:34
Speaker 1: And you know my favorite after I left corporate, my favorite birth, I told my daughter to put on my book Jeremiah 29, 11.
• 32:40
Speaker 1: God has a plan for you, plans to prosper you, plans to give you hope in the future not to harm you, but to help you get to where you need to be, what he already planned for you to be.
• 32:56
Speaker 2: So I mean, that's not the.
• 32:57
Speaker 1: Bible verse, but anyway, just the words in there I love about it, definitely, definitely.
• 33:03
Speaker 1: That is something to think about because, like you said, even our legacy is so important, and our legacy is you not holding it within you, but to share it and to be out there to be able to do that.
• 33:11
Speaker 1: So tell people how they can connect with you and learn more about Book Profits Club.
• 33:16
  Speaker 2: Absolutely so.
• 33:17
Speaker 2: My goal is to show you, guys, how to use your book or your future book you don't even have to have it yet to get on more stages, podcasts like this, to get on more platforms, and so the goal is to show you how to get on more stages, right.
• 33:29
Speaker 2: My clients are speakers and coaches.
• 33:31
Speaker 2: I have a free masterclass that's literally going to get you started.
• 33:35

• 35:14
Speaker 1: I mean because, like I said, we met years ago.
• 35:16
Speaker 1: Yes, I actually used to come to Urban CEO.
• 35:17
Speaker 1: I think that's why I met you, urban CEO.
• 35:19
Speaker 2: Probably probably what Listen Urban CEO was definitely a movement.
• 35:22
Speaker 2: We got to bring it back for sure.
• 35:23
Speaker 2: Everybody loved it, so maybe see more of it.
• 35:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, yeah, definitely, it was Urban CEO.
• 35:29
Speaker 1: So, and do, angie, but listen, thank you so much for being on the Ready Set Collaborate podcast.
• 35:37
Speaker 1: What an incredible conversation with the powerhouse, tariya, vision Avant, and I love that vision that you put in there, vision Avant, because she has a vision.
• 35:46
Speaker 1: I hope you're walking away inspired to write the vision and take action on your story.
• 35:51
Speaker 1: Remember, your book is more than words on a page.
• 35:56
