- 2:43ready for World Cup traffic? This summer's World
- 2:47Cup is expected to cause significant traffic
- 2:50issues around greater Boston. especially following
- 2:53the Brazil -France friendly at Gillette Stadium
- 2:56in March. During a press conference, Jonathan
- 2:59Gulliver, Massachusetts Department of Transportation
- 3:02Undersecretary of Transportation and State Highway
- 3:05Administrator, urged attendees to plan ahead.
- 3:09He compared the event to a Taylor Swift concert,
- 3:12a playoff series, the World Series, and the Super
- 3:15Bowl all in one place. Numerous state departments

- 3:33Now on to sports. Tarek Skubal's elbow is now
- 3:38Major League Baseball's biggest mystery. His
- 3:42recovery time from surgery could be the difference
- 3:45between a $250 million and a $450 million deal.
- 3:51The Detroit Tigers' postseason aspirations also
- 3:55hang in the balance. Scooble, the Tigers' back
- 3:58-to -back American League Cy Young Award winner,
- 4:01is headed to the injured list with loose bodies
- 4:04in his left elbow. The team announced the news
- 4:07on Monday afternoon, just hours before the 29
- 4:10-year -old was slated to start against the visiting
- 4:13Boston Red Sox. Both Scooble and Tiger's manager,
- 4:17A .J. Hinch, spoke to reporters about the injury.
- 4:20Because Scooble has yet to undergo surgery, it
- 4:23remains undetermined how long he will be sidelined.
- 4:26The typical recovery time for injuries of this
- 4:29sort can vary anywhere from two to five months.
- 4:33Hinch stated he needs to get it taken care of.
- 4:36Surgery is going to happen. Soon. He added that
- 4:40Scooble is going through all the details of what
- 4:43that will mean. Who, where, and when? Late in
- 4:47Scooble's most recent outing on April 29th against
- 4:50the Atlanta Braves, the lefty experienced discomfort
- 4:53in his elbow. After blowing a 2 -1 sinker by
- 4:58slugger Matt Olsen in the seventh inning, he
- 5:00felt the pain. In local sports, the Red Sox kept
- 5:05their Detroit momentum, rolling with a 5 -3 win
- 5:09last night behind Peyton Tall's dominant seven
- 5:12innings. Jaron Duran went three for five with

- 6:02bit messier. Charlie McAvoy was offered an in

- 6:10the season -ending loss to Buffalo. That means
- 6:12he could face six or more games suspended. Meanwhile,
- 6:16goalie Jeremy Swayman won't join Team USA for
- 6:20Worlds, stepping into fatherhood instead. On
- 6:24the draft front, if Toronto's pick falls out
- 6:26of the top five, Boston could grab the sixth
- 6:29or seventh pick. On the gridiron, the Patriots
- 6:33kicked off Phase 2 of their off -season workouts
- 6:35Monday with head coach Mike Frable and the full
- 6:39coaching staff overseeing on -field drills for
