- 2:09Speaker 1: season finale recap, I have to ask you, do you
- 2:13Speaker 1: have any takeaways?
- 2:14Speaker 2: So my takeaway is kind of stolen from my friend Ethel,
- 2:18Speaker 2: which is that Christine's sister looks like Peyton in a
- 2:21Speaker 2: wig very much.
- 2:23Speaker 1: So very much. Ah, like Brian from Game of Thrones. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 1: kind of, yeah, no, very much. She can really see
- 2:32Speaker 1: the family resemblance. And also with Janelle's sister ll like
- 2:35Speaker 1: the genes on that side of the family are so dominant,
- 2:38Speaker 1: and then Maddie like they all look alike, I know, crazy.
- 2:41Speaker 1: It was neat to see that. My takeaway, it's not
- 2:44Speaker 1: a hot take. Yeah, and I know some people aren't
- 2:46Speaker 1: gonna like it, but I'm kind of you. I'm kind
- 2:51Speaker 1: of like living for this carefree Mary Brown. It was
- 2:55Speaker 1: actually sweet to see her out on this state in
- 2:58Speaker 1: Zion National Park there by the way. Really, yes, I've always.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Wanted to go.
- 3:02Speaker 1: It's gorgeous, bet, but it was nice to just see
- 3:04Speaker 1: her laughing and being herself. Even though I'm afraid Rod
- 3:09Speaker 1: is gay.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I think maybe it's Ron kay, and it's okay if
- 3:12Speaker 1: he is gay. Maybe he's just worried about Mary because
- 3:15Speaker 1: she's in her fifties. It's her first time out there
- 3:18Speaker 1: in the dating scene. I just I don't know if
- 3:21Speaker 1: she knows what to look for. And of course we
- 3:23Speaker 1: had envisioned long ago that she would end up with
- 3:27Speaker 1: some turbo masculine lumberjack mountain man with a Harley or
- 3:32Speaker 1: woman or a woman, and I'm like still holding out
- 3:35Speaker 1: hope for that.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Actually, well, and I'm kind of wondering if that's why
- 3:38Speaker 2: she thinks Ron so attractive, Like maybe she's into the
- 3:40Speaker 2: feminine energy.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Oh gosh, what a thought. I am a little worried
- 3:44Speaker 1: about her picking men, but I'm also just really happy
- 3:47Speaker 1: that she's putting herself out there. She looks healthy, she
- 3:51Speaker 1: does she's smiling brightly, and that just made me really happy.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Yeah. I really enjoyed that too.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yeah, so that was my takeaway. So why don't we
- 4:00Speaker 1: that any further? Ado get into this week's recap of
- 4:04Speaker 1: Sister Wives Season twenty, episode fifteen, uh huh, entitled.
- 4:08Speaker 2: No Brain, No Pain, And we start off the episode
- 4:12Speaker 2: kind of slow going. We have Janelle out in Utah
- 4:16Speaker 2: or whatever. She's going to meet with the church elders.
- 4:20Speaker 2: She does, and it took like two hours. She's granted
- 4:23Speaker 2: her spiritual release. It was easy, peasy, one and done.
- 4:27Speaker 2: And I just enjoyed the scene where she was talking
- 4:29Speaker 2: about how she feels so free, like she's like, oh,
- 4:32Speaker 2: it's finally a chapter that's closed. I'm officially no longer
- 4:36Speaker 2: tied to him. I get to live on my own
- 4:38Speaker 2: planet when we die. Like life is good and I'm
- 4:41Speaker 2: ready to just live my new life. I did appreciate that.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I did as well. It's the end of an era,
- 4:48Speaker 1: the nice little bow on the gift that was that
- 4:52Speaker 1: thirty year marriage. And I really hope that the next
- 4:55Speaker 1: chapter of her life is successful, that she gets everything
- 4:59Speaker 1: that she wants, that her farm thrives, that she's with
- 5:02Speaker 1: her kids and her grandkids, like she really deserves it.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yeah, she really does. And then after her spiritual release,
- 5:08Speaker 2: she goes and meets Mary for Turkish coffee or something.
- 5:12Speaker 2: And I thought that this conversation with her and Mary
- 5:14Speaker 2: was going to be better, like or more there would
- 5:17Speaker 2: be more substance here, but there was really nothing. She
- 5:20Speaker 2: just is like, yeah, I got my spiritual release. It
- 5:22Speaker 2: was super easy. And also, are you dating? And Mary's
- 5:25Speaker 2: like yeah, and then that's it.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Yeah. You could kind of still sense the tension between
- 5:31Speaker 1: them and that they're trying to forge some kind of
- 5:35Speaker 1: not relationship but just like connection because they might be
- 5:39Speaker 1: continuing to film together and he knows what's going to
- 5:42Speaker 1: happen in upcoming seasons, and so I think they're just
- 5:45Speaker 1: trying to be cool with one another. But it was
- 5:47Speaker 1: just kind of awkward.
- 5:48Speaker 2: It felt really awkward. It felt a bit forced. The
- 5:51Speaker 2: only thing that was kind of interesting that came out
- 5:53Speaker 2: of this was when they briefly talked about Janelle's first
- 5:56Speaker 2: marriage to Mary's brother, and how to Janelle, it was
- 6:00Speaker 2: a very quick, like nothing burger relationship. They were married
- 6:04Speaker 2: less than a year, and then she divorced him and
- 6:08Speaker 2: got married to Cody, and she's very whatever about it.
- 6:11Speaker 2: But then you go to Mary and Mary's like, yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 2: that definitely caused a bit of tension when Janelle entered
- 6:18Speaker 2: our family because I had a lot of emotions with that,
- 6:22Speaker 2: and it was very difficult for me to accept her.
- 6:24Speaker 1: So why do we think we're talking about this in
- 6:28Speaker 1: season twenty because we've already addressed this in the first book.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Of course, Christine kind of talked a little bit about
- 6:35Speaker 1: it in her book, But like, we already know this history,
- 6:38Speaker 1: why is it pertinent? And then, of course when we
- 6:39Speaker 1: get to the preview, we see Mary talking about Janelle
- 6:43Speaker 1: being married to her brother before, But like, why is
- 6:46Speaker 1: it a problem now?
- 6:47Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know why we have to
- 6:48Speaker 2: hash out some of these past stuff. Why can't we
- 6:51Speaker 2: hash out the issues that you had with Cody. We
- 6:53Speaker 2: get it, we know why Mary hated Janelle, you know,
- 6:56Speaker 2: there's a many reasons why she didn't like her in
- 6:59Speaker 2: the beginning.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but you can't tell me that Mary didn't know
- 7:01Speaker 1: what was happening when Cody Mary Janelle. You can't tell
- 7:04Speaker 1: me that she didn't give her a stamp of approval. Yeah, right,
- 7:06Speaker 1: So I just don't know. I just don't know why
- 7:08Speaker 1: we're talking about it thirty three years later or whatever.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Because Mary's probably still bitter about it.
- 7:13Speaker 1: She's still mad about stuff.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Let it go. She can't, She's got a hold of grudge.
- 7:19Speaker 2: And then after she Janelle meets with Mary for Turkish coffee.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Then she goes over to Christine's and this is where
- 7:25Speaker 2: she has kind of a divorce party, I guess sort of,
- 7:30Speaker 2: but it wasn't really a party. It was like, let's
- 7:32Speaker 2: eat some salsa.
- 7:33Speaker 1: H let's get some spicy salsa. See how spicy you
- 7:37Speaker 1: like it, and then let's talk about her various and
- 7:39Speaker 1: sundry relationships. Most of the women are in monogamous relationships.
- 7:44Speaker 1: And I guess I had forgotten that Annie was remarried.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 7:48Speaker 1: When we read Christine's book, which, by the way, we
- 7:50Speaker 1: review the entire thing. I think four installments on our
- 7:53Speaker 1: Patreon but I know in Christine's book, we go over
- 7:57Speaker 1: Annie leaving the family, which was a plural family, and
- 8:00Speaker 1: then meeting a guy and marrying the guy. But then
- 8:03Speaker 1: did he pass? I don't I did, I don't know.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And I think she credits the guy who passed to
- 8:11Speaker 1: her reconnecting with her mom something like that, and so
- 8:15Speaker 1: did Annie Mary. Again, I'm very interested in Annie, and
- 8:19Speaker 1: that's the kind of stuff I would really love to
- 8:21Speaker 1: have fleshed out. So we kind of have an understanding
- 8:23Speaker 1: a little bit more of Christine's family, yeah.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Because she had so Christine had Janelle's sister there, she
- 8:30Speaker 2: had her I think two of her sisters there, and
- 8:33Speaker 2: then like maybe a friend and then Annie or something
- 8:35Speaker 2: like that. And we kind of briefly introduced all of
- 8:38Speaker 2: them and introduced like their relationships. And I think one
- 8:41Speaker 2: of Christine's sisters was in polygamy, got a spiritual release
- 8:45Speaker 2: because that guy was an asshole, and then married again
- 8:47Speaker 2: into polygamy into another.
- 8:49Speaker 1: That was marriage.
- 8:50Speaker 2: And yeah, and I'm like, why can't we elaborate on that.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Maybe these people don't want their lives on TV, I guess,
- 8:56Speaker 2: but it would be interesting to have more of the
- 8:59Speaker 2: history the culture and the culture of it all, and
- 9:02Speaker 2: discuss more about it. Like everybody sits at the table
- 9:05Speaker 2: at one point and they kind of talk about their
- 9:07Speaker 2: marriages and I think one of the other ones is
- 9:10Speaker 2: divorced but then got remarried again, and they just briefly
- 9:14Speaker 2: talk about it in a way to I don't know,
- 9:17Speaker 2: I guess give Janelle support and be like, yeah, I
- 9:20Speaker 2: even though you're divorced and spiritually released.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Life goes on. You have the potential of meeting somebody else.
- 9:27Speaker 1: And so they talk to Janelle about that as well,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and Janelle is just not interested, and I love that
- 9:34Speaker 1: for her. She's like, look, I've got a farm, we
- 9:36Speaker 1: are building houses. I'm really really interested in completing that project.
- 9:41Speaker 1: And that's just where my heart is. That's where my
- 9:43Speaker 1: mind is. I don't need a dick. Yeah, not every
- 9:45Speaker 1: woman needs a man.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Based And then we have Christine and Janelle talking privately
- 9:51Speaker 2: on the patio or something, and this is where they
- 9:53Speaker 2: discuss Cody's apologies to them, and they're very nice here, Okay,
- 9:59Speaker 2: they're being very good.
- 10:00Speaker 1: She's just sad.
- 10:01Speaker 2: They both said they think that he was being genuine,
- 10:04Speaker 2: and I'm like, what are we drinking The kool aid.
- 10:07Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I don't know or we've signed NDAs so to say
- 10:10Speaker 1: the kind of thing we've got to say.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Maybe that's what it is, but they like briefly discuss it.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Christine says it was a little awkward, but she listened
- 10:17Speaker 2: to what he had to say, and then Janelle said
- 10:21Speaker 2: that she thought Cody would ask more or talk more
- 10:24Speaker 2: about the kids, but he didn't. And then I guess
- 10:27Speaker 2: Janelle had one point had asked him if he was
- 10:29Speaker 2: in a twelve step program.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I would have loved to see that. Why was that
- 10:32Speaker 1: edited out right?
- 10:34Speaker 2: That's ridiculous, That's hilarious, and it would have made I
- 10:37Speaker 2: don't know, my opinion on Janelle's apology with Cody a
- 10:41Speaker 2: little bit different if we got to see the full thing,
- 10:44Speaker 2: because the way it was edited, in the way that
- 10:45Speaker 2: it was filmed for us, was Janelle googling eyes with Cody.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I'm googling the eyes, googling guys. Yeah. I just really
- 10:56Speaker 1: feel like both Christine and well not Mary interestingly, but
- 11:02Speaker 1: Christine and Janelle just glossed over the kids. I know
- 11:05Speaker 1: David tried to bring it up, but Christine didn't. And
- 11:07Speaker 1: I just feel like, you know, We've had many conversations
- 11:10Speaker 1: and a lot of people call in to talk about
- 11:13Speaker 1: how these mom's mom and the kinds of mothers that
- 11:16Speaker 1: they are, And I just wish we would have given
- 11:18Speaker 1: more airtime to discussing what's going on with these kids.
- 11:23Speaker 1: You don't even have to name them specifically, but kind
- 11:25Speaker 1: of talk about what's happening in the family because we're invested,
- 11:29Speaker 1: We've been following you for many, many years. We actually
- 11:32Speaker 1: care about your children, probably more than Cody and Robin do,
- 11:35Speaker 1: and so we would love to know, like, how's their
- 11:37Speaker 1: mental health, how are their lives going, what's going on
- 11:40Speaker 1: with them? Are they being taken care of? But both
- 11:43Speaker 1: Christine and Janelle just gloss right over it and don't
- 11:47Speaker 1: give any attention to it. Mary at least tried, she
- 11:50Speaker 1: across the picnic table to bring up the kids, but
- 11:53Speaker 1: then it was promptly told that the subject was Verbolton
- 11:56Speaker 1: and she couldn't talk about it. But she tried, what
- 11:59Speaker 1: about you, Janelle?
- 12:00Speaker 2: What about you?
- 12:01Speaker 1: Christine?
- 12:01Speaker 2: Well, maybe if they both signed NDAs, maybe that was
- 12:04Speaker 2: in there. Because if Cody's using language to marry like, oh,
- 12:08Speaker 2: that's we're boten, that's forbidden, maybe it was part of
- 12:11Speaker 2: the NDAs, and maybe that's why Mary didn't want to sign.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Why in the world, I don't ever sign an NDA?
- 12:18Speaker 1: And I just can't see a world where Christine would
- 12:21Speaker 1: feel the need to do that. She was already gone,
- 12:24Speaker 1: she had no stake in Coyote Pass, she's already remarried,
- 12:28Speaker 1: she's in a lawsuit with this man, for God's sake,
- 12:30Speaker 1: Why would she feel the need to sign an NDA.
- 12:33Speaker 1: So I don't think she did, And yet it feels
- 12:35Speaker 1: like she's covering for him. Still, that's what it feels like.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know, And like maybe we're just theorizing
- 12:42Speaker 2: here because we're dumb raccoons and a dumpster. But I'm like,
- 12:44Speaker 2: maybe the NDA was drafted by TLC or something. Maybe
- 12:48Speaker 2: Cody was introducing it. Maybe Mary's like, I don't need
- 12:51Speaker 2: this show. I got my Airbnb and my MLA, yeah,
- 12:55Speaker 2: my worthy up business. Like, I don't give a shit,
- 12:58Speaker 2: I'm not signing this stuff.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Well that's an interesting idea because I think there was
- 13:03Speaker 1: that rumor that Cody was pressuring TLC or the production
- 13:07Speaker 1: company to have his kids sign an NDA, but they
- 13:11Speaker 1: would not do it. Yeah, so he was trying to
- 13:14Speaker 1: wrangle some sort of legal enforcement to keep his children
- 13:16Speaker 1: from talking. So it's not something he wouldn't try, but
- 13:20Speaker 1: it sounds like he already didn't. They said no, yeah,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I don't know. It's all speculative speculation right now, But
- 13:27Speaker 2: that would be the only rationale for me to justify
- 13:31Speaker 2: why they're not bringing up these important issues like that.
- 13:34Speaker 2: All of us want to know of it, all of
- 13:36Speaker 2: us want to talk about. Maybe we'll get some of
- 13:39Speaker 2: that and then tell nothing. I doubt it.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I highly doubt it. Being optimist, it looks like Suki
- 13:45Speaker 1: is glazing them the girl entire time. Oh my god,
- 13:48Speaker 1: Ron is doing girl. I can I'm just already pissed
- 13:53Speaker 1: off about it. Everything already met, I.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Have even started. And then speaking of Ron and Mary,
- 14:00Speaker 2: we have them going to Zion National.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Park, which is gorgeous.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yeah, they're gonna go hiking. They're gonna go e biking
- 14:07Speaker 2: and eat some ice cream.
- 14:08Speaker 1: They look so healthy.
- 14:09Speaker 2: They do look very active, and I love that. Unlike myself,
- 14:14Speaker 2: You're out your hiked. I doing all this shit right,
- 14:18Speaker 2: could not be me? Nope, But we have kind of
- 14:22Speaker 2: an interesting dynamic here. So Mary seems like she's crushing
- 14:26Speaker 2: on Ron pretty hard. She's like, we're developing a really
- 14:29Speaker 2: sweet connection. We've known each other for six months now.
- 14:33Speaker 2: We're just friends, Like we haven't banged or anything yet,
- 14:36Speaker 2: but you know, we're developing this really good friendship and
- 14:40Speaker 2: just really enjoys spending time with him because he's such
- 14:42Speaker 2: a cool, awesome guy.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I'm sending up the flare like this is a problem. Mary.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Don't fall in love, I know, but she's going to.
- 14:51Speaker 1: He seems so awkward.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been seeing a lot of people say he's
- 14:55Speaker 2: very awkward.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I mean, and he doesn't have to be
- 14:59Speaker 1: gregarious and super articulate, but he just seems to be
- 15:04Speaker 1: overwhelmed by her riz as the kids saybe her six seven. Yeah,
- 15:08Speaker 1: I would say, I don't know, Like he just seems
- 15:12Speaker 1: to be a little clouded over by her, which is
- 15:14Speaker 1: fine if she likes that, But I don't know, I
- 15:17Speaker 1: just my personal opinion. I'm not seeing the chemistry. I'm
- 15:21Speaker 1: not seeing him really Gaga googling her eyes. I just
- 15:26Speaker 1: don't see that happening. And so I don't want Mary
- 15:29Speaker 1: to delude herself just because there's a man who's taking
- 15:33Speaker 1: her on a hike and dipping their toes in the
- 15:36Speaker 1: river or whatever, like, don't fall in love with this guy,
- 15:38Speaker 1: because you're gonna get your heart broken again, definitely, And
- 15:40Speaker 1: I worry about that for her.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I worry about it too, And I think Mary's just
- 15:44Speaker 2: like desperate to be in love with somebody, You're desperate
- 15:48Speaker 2: to be somebody's object of attention. Like, I just think
- 15:53Speaker 2: she's looking at him, like, you know, are you enjoying
- 15:57Speaker 2: my presence? Do you like the way my hair looks
- 16:00Speaker 2: like I straightened it just for you.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I really straightened it.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I burned the ends just for you. But it's like,
- 16:08Speaker 2: I think she just looks at him like, oh, there's
- 16:10Speaker 2: so much potential. And maybe I'm just there.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 16:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna give him a benefit of the doubt. And
- 16:16Speaker 2: maybe he's just awkward because it's being on camera. Yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 2: this is a big popular show with millions of viewers
- 16:24Speaker 2: across the world. So like, I would be pretty awkward.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I would be probably not my full authentic self with
- 16:31Speaker 2: the camera on me, especially if I'm walking around Zion
- 16:35Speaker 2: National Park with all these other people like watching me
- 16:37Speaker 2: and these cameras and stuff on me. So maybe he's
- 16:40Speaker 2: just weird because of that. Maybe he's a big old
- 16:42Speaker 2: macho man. Maybe he loves the kitty cat.
- 16:46Speaker 1: X to doubt, X to doubt. But there was that
- 16:50Speaker 1: one moment when they're out in the river sitting on
- 16:53Speaker 1: the rocks, and Mary's like, oh my gosh, I'm so
- 16:56Speaker 1: happy right now.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that.
- 16:59Speaker 1: That made me true happy. And at the very least
- 17:02Speaker 1: they seem companionable as friends. They could go to the
- 17:05Speaker 1: gay bar together or whatever. But in terms of well,
- 17:09Speaker 1: I'm just being real, I just she sent her fifties.
- 17:12Speaker 1: She doesn't have dating experience. She married the first guy
- 17:14Speaker 1: that she had, like a little pussy tingle eye. They've
- 17:17Speaker 1: married for thirty three years, and now she's out there
- 17:19Speaker 1: in the marketplace, and I just don't know if she
- 17:21Speaker 1: understands what it's like out there. And I want to
- 17:25Speaker 1: protect her in that way.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I really do, And that's very kind of you. But
- 17:29Speaker 2: also like you got to learn, you got to learn it.
- 17:31Speaker 2: She's gonna have to learn, you know, how to pick
- 17:35Speaker 2: the right guy. And she talks about it a little bit,
- 17:37Speaker 2: like they're walking around the park and I think she
- 17:40Speaker 2: starts talking about her preferences in a partner, and she's like, well,
- 17:43Speaker 2: I don't really have a type or anything like that.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I just want somebody I don't have to like perform around,
- 17:49Speaker 2: and I can just be myself around. And I really
- 17:51Speaker 2: felt that. And even in their conversations where they're talking
- 17:54Speaker 2: about being divorced and did you ever imagine that you
- 17:58Speaker 2: would spend your golden years in this way in your
- 18:01Speaker 2: fifties dating and swiping right? And I thought those conversations
- 18:05Speaker 2: were really nice. And I loved seeing Mary just overall
- 18:08Speaker 2: like lighter in her energy and just embracing this era
- 18:13Speaker 2: of her life and not being like sad about it,
- 18:16Speaker 2: sure and pitiful about it. All three of them, they're
- 18:19Speaker 2: all are embracing living their best lives right now, honestly.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Like Janelle was talking about how excited she was to
- 18:25Speaker 2: just live her new life in North Carolina and how
- 18:28Speaker 2: that was so powerful for her to be able to
- 18:32Speaker 2: start that new chapter as this one was ending, and
- 18:35Speaker 2: the same thing with Mary, Like Mary's doing.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Absolutely doing her things with reading people, having her friends
- 18:42Speaker 1: talking about rain drops chopping and talking about rain drop yikes.
- 18:47Speaker 2: And him being like I wanted to ask you are
- 18:50Speaker 2: you romantic? Like why are we asking this question?
- 18:53Speaker 1: Even that was awkward, like you're still awkward. She's like, yeah,
- 18:57Speaker 1: I was a little put off when you asked me that.
- 18:59Speaker 1: It's why why? Yeah, you're either kind of stoic, you're
- 19:03Speaker 1: a little romantic, you're a little flighty, Like, what is it?
- 19:05Speaker 1: It's a proper question, but she didn't know if it
- 19:07Speaker 1: was appropriate at the time. Why would you even say that?
- 19:10Speaker 1: But I don't know, I'm nitpicking. She's just a little
- 19:12Speaker 1: office assing. She just needs a little experience out there.
- 19:15Speaker 2: She definitely needs some experience in her pussy.
- 19:17Speaker 1: She needs to get that back blown out cross, she
- 19:20Speaker 1: needs to get deep. She really you know what she
- 19:23Speaker 1: really does. Can you imagine a liberating, sexually free Mary Brown?
- 19:28Speaker 1: What's her last name?
- 19:28Speaker 2: Now?
- 19:29Speaker 1: I don't know Brown ever, something like that.
- 19:30Speaker 2: I think they're just brown. Yeah, No, I mean I
- 19:33Speaker 2: feel like she'd be less uptight, she'd probably be less
- 19:36Speaker 2: critical if she just had her back blown out, like
- 19:39Speaker 2: her whole world would change. Even when they're like on
- 19:42Speaker 2: the drive to Zion National Park, She's like all nervous
- 19:45Speaker 2: about touching the side of his arm or whatever because
- 19:48Speaker 2: there was some deodorant on his shirt. She's like, I
- 19:51Speaker 2: don't want him to get the wrong idea, like you're
- 19:53Speaker 2: touching the side of his shirt. It's okay.
- 19:57Speaker 1: She hasn't had sex with somebody I imagine, and she
- 20:00Speaker 1: was doing it with Amos, And the question does remain,
- 20:03Speaker 1: like what happened to Amos.
- 20:05Speaker 2: We were all.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Following Amos and her round secretively, so we don't know
- 20:09Speaker 1: if she had any encounters with Amos. But if she
- 20:13Speaker 1: did not, then we're talking about over a decade without
- 20:17Speaker 1: the physical touch of a loving man I can't even imagine.
- 20:21Speaker 1: So of course she's a little quirky and awkward because
- 20:24Speaker 1: she doesn't necessarily know what to do.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Which is sad. And I don't want to be too
- 20:28Speaker 2: critical or anything about the interaction.
- 20:32Speaker 1: She was happy, though, very it looked like a beautiful
- 20:35Speaker 1: day in Zion National Park. She was with somebody who
- 20:38Speaker 1: wanted to be with her. I think her commentary about
- 20:42Speaker 1: not feeling like she needs to perform was obviously something
- 20:47Speaker 1: she was calling back to her relationship with Cody, and
- 20:49Speaker 1: it did get me to think, like, was Mary performing
- 20:54Speaker 1: being a wife, being a mother. For all of these
- 20:57Speaker 1: seasons that we've been watching, she seemed very concist stint
- 21:00Speaker 1: through the season. She's just kind of an uptight, bitchy lady. Yes,
- 21:05Speaker 1: but maybe underneath it all she was wanting to be
- 21:07Speaker 1: a totally different person. And she did say to Cody
- 21:09Speaker 1: last week, like, you actually don't know who it is
- 21:12Speaker 1: that I am. I'm Hella. Hilarious.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Yeah, she keeps saying Helen Hella.
- 21:17Speaker 1: You know, I'm like christ, stop it. But like she
- 21:22Speaker 1: does take pains to let us know that, like the
- 21:25Speaker 1: person you knew in that relationship, she did not exist.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I'm this different person and you just don't know who
- 21:29Speaker 1: I am.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Yeah, And honestly, when she was talking about that, I
- 21:32Speaker 2: could totally see that, especially after the affair, I think
- 21:36Speaker 2: she was totally faking it for the family and performing
- 21:40Speaker 2: for Cody and trying to be the good, dutiful wife
- 21:42Speaker 2: so that way she could gain his affections back, which
- 21:45Speaker 2: she never really got back.
- 21:47Speaker 1: So I think she definitely had them in quite sometimes.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Oh my god, yeah, so so long. Yeah, And she
- 21:52Speaker 2: even talks about, you know, when she was nineteen, how
- 21:56Speaker 2: could she have really made the decision to be with
- 22:00Speaker 2: somebody forever, Like she wouldn't have really known what that
- 22:03Speaker 2: meant at that age. She doesn't regret anything, obviously for
- 22:07Speaker 2: her family, And Janelle said the same thing she doesn't
- 22:09Speaker 2: regret the last thirty years whatsoever. She would do it
- 22:12Speaker 2: all over again just to have her the family that
- 22:14Speaker 2: she has. But I do appreciate them speaking about that,
- 22:19Speaker 2: and Mary speaking about that, about how young she was,
- 22:22Speaker 2: how kind of she's kind of alluding to the brainwashing
- 22:25Speaker 2: a little bit and alluding to this fundamentalist religion that
- 22:28Speaker 2: she got kind of stuck in for so many years.
- 22:31Speaker 2: So I just want more of that. Yeah, I just
- 22:34Speaker 2: want more antis like that and more way deeper than
- 22:38Speaker 2: the superficial crap that we have right now. Yes, it's
- 22:42Speaker 2: speaking of superficial crap. Then we go to Cody and
- 22:45Speaker 2: Robin where they're going to go atv writing in the minds.
- 22:50Speaker 2: I was wondering.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I was wondering with all that dust and stuff, and like,
- 22:54Speaker 1: is that near the mind? I think so.
- 22:57Speaker 2: The quarry in the Toxic Dirt Minds snikes right by
- 23:01Speaker 2: our house. So they go ATVing and we have this
- 23:04Speaker 2: bullshit from Robin saying that Cody is so much more
- 23:07Speaker 2: at peace since apologizing to his ex wives, Like its
- 23:10Speaker 2: just sense that he's lighter, and it's like so great
- 23:14Speaker 2: that he's taking accountability for his stuff in his marriage.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Is it's like so awesome.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Every single thing the two of them say about the divorces,
- 23:24Speaker 1: it's always an equivocation, like he's taking responsibility for his
- 23:28Speaker 1: part of it, right, But make no mistake, those women
- 23:31Speaker 1: have a big part in it. And even when he's
- 23:33Speaker 1: sitting down and talking with Robin about how much more
- 23:36Speaker 1: at peace he feels and how grateful he is for
- 23:39Speaker 1: having apologized, he prefaces it by saying, irrespective of how
- 23:45Speaker 1: brutal those women were to me, God, irrespective of how
- 23:49Speaker 1: all these bitches were, feels good that I was able
- 23:54Speaker 1: to apologize, Like, yeah, cannot just own it.
- 23:57Speaker 2: It drives me crazy, it's bonker. And then while they're
- 24:01Speaker 2: talking about it, you have this inspirational music that's in
- 24:04Speaker 2: the background, producers happening, like what is going on?
- 24:08Speaker 1: It actually gave me the vibe of like series finale,
- 24:12Speaker 1: not just season finale, because they were kind of wrapping
- 24:14Speaker 1: up everybody's life in a nice little bow. Everybody's happy,
- 24:18Speaker 1: everybody's got some good stuff going.
- 24:20Speaker 2: On, I hope. So I've been saying from the beginning,
- 24:22Speaker 2: it would be the perfect way to end this series
- 24:24Speaker 2: and then do some offshoots, like because I'll watch a
- 24:27Speaker 2: sister Wives offshoot with the OG three. I'm not gonna
- 24:30Speaker 2: watch it with Cody and Robin at all, but like,
- 24:32Speaker 2: I'll watch an off shoot, but it would be perfect.
- 24:34Speaker 2: You end it at season twenty you end it in
- 24:37Speaker 2: this way, fifteen episodes perfect, a four part tell nothing awesome? Yep,
- 24:41Speaker 2: maybe a hour renewal. I'll watch it of Cody and Robin.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Oh god, and I will tear it to shredz because.
- 24:47Speaker 1: It's my job. I'll watch it shit, A'll not want
- 24:50Speaker 1: to watch it.
- 24:51Speaker 2: But after that, let's end it because what else is there?
- 24:54Speaker 1: Really? And that's what I was thinking at the end
- 24:56Speaker 1: of this episode. I know we're not there yet, but like,
- 24:59Speaker 1: what are we gonna talk talk about? Yeah in season
- 25:01Speaker 1: twenty one, because you said a couple of weeks ago
- 25:03Speaker 1: that you read somewhere that they're already filming or that
- 25:06Speaker 1: they've been filming season twenty one, and I'm like, what
- 25:09Speaker 1: in the world what are we filming? Are we going
- 25:11Speaker 1: to be doing? I don't care about your Disney trips, Mary,
- 25:15Speaker 1: I don't care about your relationship with Ron Janelle. It's
- 25:18Speaker 1: great that you're out there in North Carolina, but you
- 25:20Speaker 1: don't talk about your kids much and we don't get
- 25:22Speaker 1: to see a whole lot of stuff with that. I
- 25:24Speaker 1: don't care about Michelty and Tony Christine. You bore me
- 25:27Speaker 1: to DearS.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I think you bore me to tears.
- 25:30Speaker 1: What are we going to be doing? And it has
- 25:32Speaker 1: to have an element of conflict? Yeah, there has to be.
- 25:35Speaker 1: See what made Sister Wives so successful for so many
- 25:38Speaker 1: seasons is that we all could sense, feel and see
- 25:43Speaker 1: that there was something else dramatic going on, even though
- 25:46Speaker 1: they never confirmed it, and they have since said that
- 25:48Speaker 1: it was very important that they presented an alliance and
- 25:52Speaker 1: a united front. We could all tell though. So now
- 25:54Speaker 1: we're going to come back for season twenty one, We've
- 25:56Speaker 1: got no conflict. We're disentangled. There's no financial connections. What's
- 26:03Speaker 1: going to keep our interest? What is period?
- 26:05Speaker 2: Unless you're going to talk about the lack of relationships
- 26:09Speaker 2: that Cody has with the kids and how that's still
- 26:11Speaker 2: an ongoing issue.
- 26:12Speaker 1: It's not allowed apparently to talk about that exactly.
- 26:15Speaker 2: So then there's nothing.
- 26:17Speaker 1: There's literally nothing. I just can't imagine what kind of
- 26:20Speaker 1: show they're going to make. I guess we'll wait and see.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I guess so watch there will be a season twenty one.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Wouldn't that be wild?
- 26:26Speaker 1: If there wasn't no watch there will be. I think
- 26:29Speaker 1: there's going to be.
- 26:30Speaker 2: There probably is at least four or five more seasons.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Like you guys going to watch it? If there's a
- 26:35Speaker 1: season twenty one? Are you guys going to watch it?
- 26:37Speaker 1: I know we're going to watch it.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Have to. It's our job.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Although do they know that I'm moving?
- 26:42Speaker 2: Oh, I don't know. I don't think we've announced that. No.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I think maybe on Patreon a little bit. But I
- 26:46Speaker 1: will be moving this summer, like across the country from Beatris.
- 26:51Speaker 1: I don'tate us Nome. It's for my husband's work. So
- 26:55Speaker 1: we're in Texas. We're in North Texas right now, and
- 26:57Speaker 1: I'm going to be relocating to like New England even
- 27:02Speaker 1: been well, I've been to New Hampshire and I've driven
- 27:04Speaker 1: through Vermont, but I just I'm really not from there.
- 27:07Speaker 1: So it's going to be such a huge change. And
- 27:10Speaker 1: I think if Sister Wives comes back, it's going to
- 27:14Speaker 1: be coming back at the end of next summer like
- 27:16Speaker 1: it normally does. I will be more else We're gonna
- 27:19Speaker 1: have to do it longestly.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Yeah, from my dumpster and your dumpster. I know.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Until you move and join us, which is what you're
- 27:28Speaker 1: going to do. But anyway, I'm just projecting forward, trying
- 27:31Speaker 1: to forecast what the hell we're going to be doing,
- 27:34Speaker 1: because what the hell is this show going to be doing?
- 27:37Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 27:38Speaker 2: I don't know at all. But back to ATVing in
- 27:41Speaker 2: the minefields, Cody crashes his ATV, which is really awesome,
- 27:46Speaker 2: and then we get that really great flashback of Robin crashing.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Which is even more awesome, which is even batter.
- 27:52Speaker 2: I laughed so hard, like way harder than I should have,
- 27:55Speaker 2: but that was great. And then Robin's all dramatic about
- 27:58Speaker 2: Cody's little blue woo that he got on his fucking
- 28:02Speaker 2: ar cares. She's like so stupid. And then they have
- 28:06Speaker 2: a little health check up on their marriage because you know,
- 28:08Speaker 2: it's really important to like chuck it in with one
- 28:11Speaker 2: another because we love each other so deeply, just like
- 28:14Speaker 2: checking in on our relationship because it's been so hard.
- 28:17Speaker 2: And according to Cody, they've been fighting for their lives
- 28:20Speaker 2: to protect their marriage or something the last few years.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Mm hmm, Like give me.
- 28:24Speaker 1: A protect your horde, protect your money, yeah, protect your resources, That's.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Exactly what he means. And then this is where Cody
- 28:35Speaker 2: apologizes to Robin, and he says in his interstitial that
- 28:39Speaker 2: she deserves the apology most of all, because that kills
- 28:44Speaker 2: me so much.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Oh my god, the rage, justt of all, the rage, dude,
- 28:49Speaker 1: because she had to deal with him at his absolute worst. Okay,
- 28:53Speaker 1: So when you were raging at Janelle and storming out
- 28:56Speaker 1: of her dormitory apartment, that wasn't a problem. When you're
- 28:59Speaker 1: screaming at neglecting her, that wasn't a problem. When you're
- 29:03Speaker 1: cursing out Christine and disparaging her like in front of
- 29:06Speaker 1: national television, to her children and everything, that wasn't a problem.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Robin got the worst of it. Yes, and I didn't
- 29:12Speaker 1: even apologize to you. I was remiss, Oh god, I was.
- 29:17Speaker 1: I had a hard time staying present for this conversation.
- 29:20Speaker 2: It was so gross. And then you Robin Fate crying
- 29:23Speaker 2: about it, and he's like asking her if she's confident
- 29:26Speaker 2: in their marriage, and she's like, for the millionth time, yes,
- 29:29Speaker 2: I'm confident, confident, And then he asks her if she
- 29:33Speaker 2: forgives him, and she's like, yes, I've forgiven you the
- 29:37Speaker 2: whole time. And then she says in her talking head
- 29:41Speaker 2: that She's so glad that he's back to his normal self,
- 29:46Speaker 2: you know, because it's been a lot of back and
- 29:47Speaker 2: forth of him being good and then him being an angry,
- 29:51Speaker 2: divorced monster. And I'm just like, I don't give a
- 29:54Speaker 2: fuck about you too.
- 29:55Speaker 1: And you guys are scripted as hell. This is a
- 30:01Speaker 1: planned conversation. There's nothing authentic about you too, And it's
- 30:06Speaker 1: still a lot of pr rehab of your image, that's
- 30:11Speaker 1: what I'm getting. And I'm just like Robin, Oh God,
- 30:14Speaker 1: she's so far gone. I don't think she can ever
- 30:16Speaker 1: redeem herself, not just to the other members of her family,
- 30:21Speaker 1: but to the rest of us. She's just an awful
- 30:24Speaker 1: and in my opinion, diabolical person. And this gravy train
- 30:28Speaker 1: it's gonna stop. It can't go on forever. And then
- 30:31Speaker 1: are you going to forgive Cody? And then are you
- 30:34Speaker 1: going to stay with Cody? Because I think that's what
- 30:37Speaker 1: your incentive is throughout all of this is that big
- 30:39Speaker 1: ass house next to the mines, and all of the
- 30:43Speaker 1: things that you have amassed, your Dickensian villages and your
- 30:48Speaker 1: American girl dolls and all the clothing as well, Like
- 30:51Speaker 1: you have all of these things, but when that is
- 30:53Speaker 1: taken away and inevitably, because karma shows up on time, bitch,
- 30:58Speaker 1: karma shows up on top when that happens. Are you
- 31:01Speaker 1: gonna still have the same opinion of Cody because I
- 31:04Speaker 1: just don't think so. Personally.
- 31:06Speaker 2: I don't think so either, Like, what are you going
- 31:07Speaker 2: to do when your house gets foreclosed upon? And I'm
- 31:10Speaker 2: not wishing that on that?
- 31:13Speaker 1: Ami, don't you can't do that. I told you that's bad.
- 31:15Speaker 1: That's bad.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Their demons, I know.
- 31:18Speaker 1: But vengeance is mine, saith the lord he's got. Okay,
- 31:21Speaker 1: I don't wish it on.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Okay, I don't wish it on.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Can I just like offer a weird opinion from the
- 31:28Speaker 1: sidelines of my ridiculousness. I thought in this conversation, Cody
- 31:34Speaker 1: looked kind of handsome.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Eh well, I don't know.
- 31:37Speaker 1: It was like the shaved his side of his book
- 31:40Speaker 1: and just like he's in shape now and he was
- 31:43Speaker 1: wearing skinny jeans, which is ridiculous. But I just kind
- 31:49Speaker 1: of thought, Okay, Cody Brown, You're look what I did.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Did anybody else I have to ask, did anybody else
- 31:55Speaker 1: have that thought? I mean, for fifty seven or whatever?
- 31:58Speaker 1: I thought he was looking good?
- 32:00Speaker 2: Wow, anyway, that's wild.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Well I'm going to offer that out, d Lulu to
- 32:05Speaker 1: the d D is d Lulu, Well, did.
- 32:09Speaker 2: You think Robin looked pretty? Because Cody kept talking about
- 32:11Speaker 2: how pretty she looked. There were a lot of angles
- 32:14Speaker 2: of Robin, and I'm like, damn.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Girl, yeah, energy, We'll just leave it. We'll just leave
- 32:21Speaker 1: it at that.
- 32:22Speaker 2: The body keeps the score.
- 32:23Speaker 1: It does keep the score. And I feel bad last
- 32:26Speaker 1: week because I think I said she had an Easter island.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Everyone thought that was so funny. We got so many kinds, so.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Mean sometimes, but she does.
- 32:32Speaker 2: I grew up in an era where we just talked
- 32:34Speaker 2: shit like she.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Anyway. No, she's a beautiful woman for sure.
- 32:40Speaker 2: No yeah, no, no she is.
- 32:43Speaker 1: No. They are perfect together. They complement each other.
- 32:47Speaker 2: They match each other's energy, match each other's freak. But yeah,
- 32:51Speaker 2: so this whole thing was stupid. We knew that they
- 32:53Speaker 2: were going to apologize, or Cody was going to apologize
- 32:55Speaker 2: to Robin. There's a bunch of fake bullshit. The thing
- 32:58Speaker 2: that pisses me off about this is not so much
- 33:00Speaker 2: they're like blatant lies about Cody taking accountability and how
- 33:04Speaker 2: he's so much at pee so much more at peace now.
- 33:07Speaker 2: But it's the fact that they think that after these
- 33:09Speaker 2: last couple episodes of him saying sorry that like things
- 33:12Speaker 2: are fine like that, we're gonna wrap everything up in
- 33:14Speaker 2: a bow. Everybody should be happy with that and we're
- 33:19Speaker 2: done and that's it, because that's not how real life is.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Like even when you apologize to somebody for these wrongdoings,
- 33:26Speaker 2: like even if you are taking real accountability, sometimes that
- 33:29Speaker 2: shit can take time to fully like sit in and
- 33:32Speaker 2: have the other person heal throughout it, like it's not
- 33:35Speaker 2: just an overnight Hey, by the way, I'm sorry. Hey, cameraman,
- 33:39Speaker 2: are you making sure to get this and get my
- 33:41Speaker 2: good angle? I'm sorry, Mary, I'm sorry to now, I'm
- 33:43Speaker 2: sorry Christine.
- 33:44Speaker 1: We're done yep, no, what that's a wrap Now, let's
- 33:47Speaker 1: create content together so we can keep this show going.
- 33:50Speaker 2: It's so wild to me.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I honestly think that's what his motivation is, definitely, because
- 33:54Speaker 1: if he's estranged from all of these women, then what
- 33:57Speaker 1: are they gonna do? I mean, really, I'm just gonna
- 33:59Speaker 1: constant cut back to flag Staff and you're boring ass life. Sorry.
- 34:04Speaker 1: I just nobody wants that. And maybe he has a
- 34:06Speaker 1: sense of that, maybe he knows unless he can repair
- 34:09Speaker 1: these relationships, like he'll never be able to go to
- 34:13Speaker 1: family reunions or sit around a table with his ex
- 34:15Speaker 1: wives and his kids. And that's his whole life, it's
- 34:18Speaker 1: his entire identity.
- 34:19Speaker 2: It is his paycheck, really making needs this shit to survive.
- 34:24Speaker 2: I mean, I wonder if the og three are even
- 34:27Speaker 2: interested in doing spinoffs, Like I wonder if they're like,
- 34:31Speaker 2: we're done, We'll finish the show fucking way you think
- 34:35Speaker 2: they're gonna be milking it.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Too, honey. Janelle is now a fitness coach well on
- 34:40Speaker 1: her website, and Janelle is giving relationship advice on her website.
- 34:45Speaker 1: She is looking for additional streams of income because she
- 34:48Speaker 1: is highly concerned about what her quality of life is
- 34:51Speaker 1: going to be when the show goes away and appropriately so, Yeah,
- 34:54Speaker 1: and I think Mary is also very business savvy. She knows, like,
- 34:58Speaker 1: when this goes away, that's a huge chunk of her income. Yeah,
- 35:01Speaker 1: it's only gonna be Lularoe, which is falling out of favor,
- 35:04Speaker 1: to be sure totally. And what is she gonna do?
- 35:06Speaker 1: Just have that haunted airbnb that nobody I was looking
- 35:09Speaker 1: when they go across the street, across the street he
- 35:13Speaker 1: haunted like it was borded, a mattress.
- 35:16Speaker 2: In front of the other house.
- 35:17Speaker 1: I'm like, who's gonna want to go to it?
- 35:19Speaker 2: After the show is over?
- 35:20Speaker 1: Mary, who's gonna want to go to perilwan Utah to
- 35:23Speaker 1: your airbnb? Where out the window there vista is of
- 35:27Speaker 1: a haunted a literal boarded up haunted house with mattresses
- 35:30Speaker 1: in front of it and stuff.
- 35:31Speaker 2: It looks like the neighborhood from the Barbarian like legitimate.
- 35:38Speaker 1: It does does underground Mormon totals, underground monsters, nursing Mormon babes.
- 35:46Speaker 2: You guys haven't seen that movie?
- 35:48Speaker 1: Did I spoil it? Sorry?
- 35:50Speaker 2: But it's like, yeah, that's what it looked like.
- 35:54Speaker 1: That's so bad.
- 35:55Speaker 2: But yeah, I did get us.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I did get a snub Mary, like she knows she
- 36:00Speaker 1: this show.
- 36:00Speaker 2: And Christine, out of.
- 36:02Speaker 1: All of them, probably maybe doesn't really need the show
- 36:05Speaker 1: because she's got a man, he's air being gainfully employed.
- 36:09Speaker 1: She's got arabianbs. Those are also falling out of favor
- 36:11Speaker 1: thore So. But I mean, she's got something going for herself.
- 36:14Speaker 1: But even she, I think understands that she needs it.
- 36:19Speaker 1: And David's concerned because a few episodes ago. He's like, Okay, well,
- 36:22Speaker 1: when the money's gone, are you gonna still begin in
- 36:24Speaker 1: all of these Amazon packages?
- 36:25Speaker 2: Honey, we can't afford it, right, I mean, I guess
- 36:28Speaker 2: I can see that. I just I don't know. If
- 36:30Speaker 2: I was one of these og wives, I'd be like,
- 36:32Speaker 2: if we're going to do a spin off, it shouldn't
- 36:34Speaker 2: be related to Sisteris at all, because who cares.
- 36:36Speaker 1: It should be the kids. It should be the next
- 36:38Speaker 1: gen Sister Wives and how they're recovering from their trauma,
- 36:41Speaker 1: and we get to do some couple's therapy trauma with
- 36:44Speaker 1: them to help them get over their cult history. That's
- 36:47Speaker 1: what I want to see.
- 36:48Speaker 2: The spinoff should be called After Cody, Life After Cody. Yes,
- 36:52Speaker 2: that'd be so good.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I would watch that. I would watch it getting Leon
- 36:55Speaker 1: on a couch, the gripes. I would love that.
- 36:59Speaker 2: I would love it so much. But we're not.
- 37:02Speaker 1: We're not.
- 37:04Speaker 2: And then we get the preview and this is where
- 37:06Speaker 2: the tail Nothing's start. And there was a lot in
- 37:08Speaker 2: this preview and I'm hoping, I'm really hoping these were
- 37:12Speaker 2: all just like the best highlights of the tael Nothings.
- 37:15Speaker 1: You keep hoping honey, but they probably were.
- 37:18Speaker 2: So. The first one was Suki asking Mary if she
- 37:21Speaker 2: thinks Ron it's cute and if they kissed, and Mary's like,
- 37:23Speaker 2: my god, he's so hand in some them. Have you
- 37:26Speaker 2: seen Emmy's so hot? Yes, yes, we've seen him. Then
- 37:32Speaker 2: we have Janelle clarifying that there was actually no backdoor
- 37:37Speaker 2: deal against Mary at all, and then you have Robin
- 37:40Speaker 2: bringing it up again talking about the back door deal.
- 37:44Speaker 2: We have Cody's well before what so.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Cody was trying really hard to throw Janelle under the bus.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, regarding this back door deal. Yeah, I kind
- 37:57Speaker 1: of believe that Janelle was trying to do some sort
- 38:01Speaker 1: of a deal. And we've talked about why she might
- 38:02Speaker 1: do that, because she was trying. She's just like, okay, Mary,
- 38:05Speaker 1: get your act together. If you're not gonna do it,
- 38:06Speaker 1: we're gonna do whatever we need to do to sell
- 38:08Speaker 1: this place. Like I can see her doing that. I'm
- 38:12Speaker 1: just wondering how it's all going to suss out, especially
- 38:15Speaker 1: with Cody then saying he's maybe still in love with
- 38:17Speaker 1: Janelle or right, well, if you were still in love
- 38:19Speaker 1: with Janelle, why are you trying so hard to make
- 38:22Speaker 1: her look so bad? To Mary because he's a narc
- 38:25Speaker 1: and he's gotta hurt her in some way.
- 38:27Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't think that it was like
- 38:30Speaker 2: a legit backdoor deal.
- 38:32Speaker 1: I think it was developed.
- 38:33Speaker 2: No, not at all. I think Cody maybe brought it
- 38:36Speaker 2: up and Janelle or Janelle maybe, but I don't think
- 38:39Speaker 2: Janelle would do that again when she went and met
- 38:42Speaker 2: with Mary beforehand and was like, you need to you
- 38:45Speaker 2: need to get your shit together with this and we
- 38:48Speaker 2: need to team up.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Right, And then Mary didn't and Mary didn't trust her,
- 38:51Speaker 1: and Mary went and carried those bones to Robin and Cody,
- 38:54Speaker 1: and Mary made that payment to Robin and Cody with
- 38:58Speaker 1: the full understanding of how Jane had warned her. And
- 39:00Speaker 1: so if I'm Janelle, I'm just sick of your shit, Mary, Yeah,
- 39:03Speaker 1: And I need to build a house and I don't
- 39:05Speaker 1: have anything, and I don't have lu LaRoe and I've
- 39:07Speaker 1: got to start a fitness MLM and so I'm desperate.
- 39:11Speaker 1: So if you're not gonna do it, I'm gonna make
- 39:12Speaker 1: this backdoor deal.
- 39:13Speaker 2: I don't know, or Cody just brought it up and
- 39:16Speaker 2: Janelle was like, well, yeah, I mean you could legally
- 39:18Speaker 2: do that, but maybe you shouldn't. And then now Cody's
- 39:21Speaker 2: spinning it as it was a backdoor deal because he
- 39:23Speaker 2: wants to turn everybody against Janelle. We'll see, I don't know,
- 39:26Speaker 2: We'll see how it shakes out. It seems like from
- 39:29Speaker 2: other previews we've seen Mary's pissed off because she finds
- 39:32Speaker 2: out about this, and.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Then Janelle is denying it. But I'm just putting it
- 39:36Speaker 1: on record that I think Janelle did it.
- 39:38Speaker 2: She may have.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I think Janelle did it well.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Then Robin brings it up, being like, oh, she's going
- 39:42Speaker 2: to turn the screw. She's totally gonna turn the screw.
- 39:45Speaker 2: And when Cody introduced it, he was talking about it
- 39:48Speaker 2: with this backdoor deal of selling it out from underneath
- 39:51Speaker 2: Mary and Robin kind of how and then you have
- 39:55Speaker 2: Robin being like, no, it was all against Mary. So
- 39:58Speaker 2: there's a lot of he said, She's said, it would
- 40:00Speaker 2: be really great if we could have everybody in the
- 40:02Speaker 2: same room and fight it out. Then we have Cody saying,
- 40:07Speaker 2: what is it Janelle? Am I Robin's puppet or is
- 40:10Speaker 2: she mine? And then he goes on to say something
- 40:13Speaker 2: about how Janelle plays him all the time because he
- 40:16Speaker 2: loved her and still wants her approval and she knows that.
- 40:22Speaker 1: I loved her and I maybe still do.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Yeah, is that what he said after? Yeah?
- 40:26Speaker 1: I think it was in that same sentence because I
- 40:30Speaker 1: loved her and maybe I still do, and I want
- 40:33Speaker 1: her approval and I want her approval, which is interesting, yes,
- 40:36Speaker 1: because I don't believe it, and I'm sure it's editing
- 40:39Speaker 1: and I bet it's going to be nothing. But if
- 40:41Speaker 1: that is what he says, we just have to wonder
- 40:44Speaker 1: to ourselves what Robin thinks. Oh hearing something like that,
- 40:48Speaker 1: so pissed? Do you think so jealous?
- 40:50Speaker 2: Oh?
- 40:50Speaker 1: Yeah, because we've been saying from almost the beginning that
- 40:54Speaker 1: the chemistry, the pheromones or happening between Cody and Janelle
- 40:59Speaker 1: and yeah, and Robin too and Cody and stuff like that,
- 41:01Speaker 1: but definitely Cody and Janelle, like there's something there for sure. Yeah,
- 41:05Speaker 1: And you could see it when they were sitting down
- 41:07Speaker 1: during his apology tour, like there was love and maybe
- 41:10Speaker 1: still is some love. And then he was asking myself,
- 41:13Speaker 1: because I'm insane, Janelle, would you be open to that?
- 41:17Speaker 1: And I'm just gonna say I think she would be.
- 41:19Speaker 2: She probably would, Yeah, I think she would be Yeah.
- 41:22Speaker 1: If it's not for Maddie being disgusted at the idea
- 41:26Speaker 1: and the rest of her kids.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Being like, mohy, why would you ever?
- 41:30Speaker 1: I think Janelle would be tempted to go back to Cody.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and honestly, all he had to do to stay
- 41:36Speaker 2: in her favor was just be nice to her kids. Yeah,
- 41:38Speaker 2: that's it. It was the last straw that broke the
- 41:41Speaker 2: camel's back that he was being an asshole to them.
- 41:43Speaker 2: And then she's like, Okay, fuck you, dude. And then
- 41:46Speaker 2: we have Mary's friend Jen saying that Robin is submissive
- 41:50Speaker 2: and that Cody prefers her that way, and then Cody
- 41:54Speaker 2: being like, oh, Jen's full of shit. Fuck that bitch,
- 41:57Speaker 2: right basically, And then we have Janelle saying Mary was
- 42:02Speaker 2: more willing to engage in heated conversations and I'm assuming
- 42:06Speaker 2: they're talking about the earlier years here, and then you
- 42:08Speaker 2: have a cut to Mary saying, well, yeah, there were
- 42:12Speaker 2: emotions involved because you were fucking my brother and then
- 42:16Speaker 2: divorced him and then married my husband.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Okay, Mary, I'm sure you signed off on that though.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Please maybe, And then we have I think it looks
- 42:25Speaker 2: like David and Suki kind of going at each other.
- 42:29Speaker 2: There was like a scene. I don't know what the
- 42:31Speaker 2: fuck they were talking about, Like Suki's like pressing Christine
- 42:34Speaker 2: and David on some questions, and I think it was
- 42:37Speaker 2: about the kids and Cody's relationships with the kids. And
- 42:39Speaker 2: David seems a little argumentative.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Well he's trying to insert a comment, but Suki seems
- 42:45Speaker 1: to be steamrolling him. Yikes, which I think would be
- 42:48Speaker 1: inappropriate if they're sitting down to be interviewed. But I
- 42:50Speaker 1: don't know. We have to watch it.
- 42:51Speaker 2: We'll have to see. And then we have Cody and
- 42:54Speaker 2: an interstitial saying David's a guy and guys think that
- 42:58Speaker 2: they got things figured out. But im plural marriage, you
- 43:00Speaker 2: realize you don't know shit.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Shut up, Cody, Like stop, just shut up with your
- 43:04Speaker 1: pontifications and your opinions. Nobody cares Cody.
- 43:08Speaker 2: He's so intimidated by masculine energy. Have you noticed that. Yes,
- 43:12Speaker 2: it's always the men that he gets really heated with,
- 43:14Speaker 2: or someting.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Really wants to align himself with. Yeah, because I think
- 43:18Speaker 1: maybe inside he doesn't feel very powerful.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and or masculine. Well, he is a small little man, a.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Flamboyantly gay person. According to his high school.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Yeah, friend, no, seriously, And then we have a conversation
- 43:31Speaker 2: about how every penny of Mary's I'm assuming Vegas home
- 43:35Speaker 2: went to the proceeds of Robin the staff home. He So,
- 43:39Speaker 2: now we have multiple wives paying for Robin's home because
- 43:42Speaker 2: I thought Christine's prophet went there? Did everybody's price?
- 43:46Speaker 1: I think Janelle's prophets went there. I think Mary's prophets
- 43:51Speaker 1: went there. I'm unsure. I don't know that it was Christine's.
- 43:54Speaker 1: But then you have to ask yourself how much equity
- 43:58Speaker 1: did they actually have in those homes when they were selling,
- 44:01Speaker 1: because again, they took out those probably interest only loans,
- 44:06Speaker 1: so they probably owed quite a bit on those homes.
- 44:09Speaker 1: So we might not be talking about multiple hundreds of
- 44:12Speaker 1: thousands of dollars upon the sale of those homes. But
- 44:15Speaker 1: the fact that all of the profits, all that equity
- 44:19Speaker 1: was funneled right into Robin's house, and we have her
- 44:21Speaker 1: on camera saying this was a family asset. It's just
- 44:25Speaker 1: bewildering to me why we wouldn't be suing these people
- 44:27Speaker 1: for our share of the sale of that house because
- 44:29Speaker 1: they made a profit on it.
- 44:30Speaker 2: I mean, actually, the am back right, it should be
- 44:34Speaker 2: they should sue fuck.
- 44:35Speaker 1: But I think when they turned that money over they
- 44:38Speaker 1: did it by saying it was a gift so that
- 44:41Speaker 1: somebody wasn't taxed, right, Maybe that was so they count.
- 44:45Speaker 2: And then after that comment about all of the money
- 44:49Speaker 2: going to Robin's house, then we cut over to Robin
- 44:51Speaker 2: and Robin laughs and is like, well, it's not about me, Like,
- 44:55Speaker 2: we don't need to bring the conversation back to me.
- 44:58Speaker 2: And then we have like Key asking Robin like do
- 45:02Speaker 2: you not understand why Mary wouldn't trust you? And Robin's like, yeah,
- 45:05Speaker 2: I have no idea why she wouldn't trust me. And
- 45:07Speaker 2: then she brings up the affair the online catfishing, and
- 45:12Speaker 2: then you have Cody in the next scene like totally
- 45:15Speaker 2: crashing out about it.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I have to imagine that Robin is talking about the
- 45:19Speaker 1: catfish because the subject is being talked about. I don't
- 45:22Speaker 1: think she's bringing up the catfish. I'm not sure if
- 45:24Speaker 1: she did, she'd be very audacious because the rumor is
- 45:28Speaker 1: that Robin had a hand in getting that information to Cody,
- 45:32Speaker 1: that her friend kendro knew the catfish and was getting
- 45:36Speaker 1: the information on the intel on Mary and feeding it
- 45:38Speaker 1: to Robin. So i'man just that's going to be that's
- 45:41Speaker 1: going to be very fascinating. Ye, fascinating.
- 45:46Speaker 2: So that's it for the preview for the next tell nothing,
- 45:48Speaker 2: but also.
- 45:49Speaker 1: A retread like we were talking to the catfish again.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Are we actually going to talk about it this time?
- 45:55Speaker 1: Are we just gonna like skirt around the things that
- 45:58Speaker 1: we really want to say and the questions that the
- 46:00Speaker 1: viewers actually have?
- 46:03Speaker 2: No, because why would we do that? I don't know,
- 46:06Speaker 2: but we're gonna be here, We're gonna watch it anyway
- 46:09Speaker 2: for y'all.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Well, I have to ask you, because we try to
- 46:12Speaker 1: do this at the end of the seasons of the
- 46:15Speaker 1: shows that we watch, like what is your grade for
- 46:18Speaker 1: Sister Wives Season twenty. I know we still have the
- 46:20Speaker 1: till nothings, but they're going to be a snoozefest C
- 46:24Speaker 1: minus yeah or D plus Yeah. I'm gonna have to
- 46:29Speaker 1: say D plus as well.
- 46:32Speaker 2: It was so boring.
- 46:33Speaker 1: It was really there wasn't a lot here. It was
- 46:36Speaker 1: a lot of manufactured content. It was a lot of
- 46:39Speaker 1: the wives who had legitimate gripes against Cody, legal and
- 46:44Speaker 1: otherwise not actually stating that and not giving us as
- 46:48Speaker 1: the audience what we're really looking for.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Yep.
- 46:50Speaker 1: I just don't know how long we can continue with
- 46:53Speaker 1: this ridiculousness.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Honestly, it's not sustainable in the way that it is
- 46:58Speaker 2: right now unless we do some offshoots. Yeah, and that
- 47:01Speaker 2: would be really great if like Cody and Robin had
- 47:03Speaker 2: an offshoot and nobody watched it, they had like two viewers.
- 47:07Speaker 1: We would coordinate that whole thing from the dump set.
- 47:09Speaker 1: It's so great, it would be so wonderful. It's like
- 47:12Speaker 1: when Facebook slash Meta launched their Metaverse and there's only
- 47:16Speaker 1: like nine.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Years and like, no one's easy it.
- 47:19Speaker 1: It's using the metaverse.
- 47:20Speaker 2: Nobody's watching you, Cody, That's why I want.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd be awesome.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Well, is there anything else that we need to say
- 47:28Speaker 1: to these beautiful raccoons before we get a bod at
- 47:30Speaker 1: a here bhs.
- 47:32Speaker 2: Well, if you love our podcast, please go to your
- 47:34Speaker 2: favorite podcast platform and leave us a glowing five star review.
- 47:38Speaker 2: It costs you nothing and it really helps us grow
- 47:40Speaker 2: the pod so more people can join us in the
- 47:41Speaker 2: dumpster and we really would appreciate it. Thank you so
- 47:43Speaker 2: very much.
- 47:44Speaker 1: We will be back later this week to take your
- 47:47Speaker 1: calls and hear your opinions about these browns and this season.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Can't wait for that? Yeah, come on back for that,
- 47:54Speaker 1: And until then, please do not forget that we have
- 47:57Speaker 1: nothing but love for you, and please a mighty fine
- 48:02Speaker 1: us mhm
