- 0:59Speaker 4: Juicy Scoop.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. I have one of
- 1:04Speaker 2: our return favorites, Daily Mail reporter, Australian tall cutie, Jacques Peterson.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Welcome back to Juicy Scoop. How have you been?
- 1:14Speaker 4: I'm good. I love the tall cutie every time I
- 1:17Speaker 4: come in here. By the way, I've been getting recognized
- 1:19Speaker 4: by Juicy Scoopers on the street.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Oh my God, that means so much to me. We've
- 1:23Speaker 2: made it.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Yes, I'm very flattered. They're like, oh my God, I
- 1:26Speaker 4: know you from Juicy Scoop. I'm like, yes, you do.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Do you want a photo?
- 1:29Speaker 2: I love it. So come up to Jacques anytime you want. Um,
- 1:34Speaker 2: all right. This came up in the last couple of days.
- 1:38Speaker 2: It's a big Andy Cohen news. Andy Cohen was, I
- 1:42Speaker 2: believe doing like a Q and a on threads. Yes.
- 1:45Speaker 2: And someone in a more angry manner wrote like, why
- 1:50Speaker 2: are you letting all these MAGA people, women be on
- 1:54Speaker 2: your shows? And he basically said, um, Real Housewives isn't
- 2:00Speaker 2: about politics and we like having women with different points
- 2:03Speaker 2: of view. And that's very surprising being that he has
- 2:09Speaker 2: shared his political views very often on the shows as
- 2:15Speaker 2: well as his own show, watch what happens live and
- 2:17Speaker 2: who he gives mausles to and things like that and
- 2:20Speaker 2: who he gets. There's mausle and what's the negative one?
- 2:23Speaker 4: A jackal, I think.
- 2:24Speaker 2: There's the jackal and it's very much political oftentimes.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Yes.
- 2:29Speaker 2: But he's trying to say the show isn't about that.
- 2:31Speaker 2: So a lot of people then came forward and was like, well,
- 2:36Speaker 2: I disagree with that because these people have been fired
- 2:40Speaker 2: and they were Republican or, you know, I don't know
- 2:46Speaker 2: anybody that says I'm MAGA. Like they, some might'll say, well,
- 2:53Speaker 2: I was a Republican or whatever, but that seems to
- 2:56Speaker 2: be the weaponizing word.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Well, okay. Here's the thing. What he's saying about this,
- 3:02Speaker 4: he said, this is a show, not about politics. It's
- 3:04Speaker 4: about women's lives. We need people with different perspectives. That's
- 3:07Speaker 4: what makes a good show. Exactly. We all agree. I've
- 3:10Speaker 4: been saying it forever. I was screaming that from the
- 3:14Speaker 4: rooftops during 2020 when every housewife and reality star was
- 3:19Speaker 4: getting canceled for, you know, saying something politically incorrect, saying something.
- 3:24Speaker 2: It's not politically incorrect. It was just politically.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, some people said.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Not what the wave was or whatever. This is what
- 3:29Speaker 2: I think of Andy saying this. I think he did
- 3:35Speaker 2: the mausoleum of the week was Fauci in which he
- 3:38Speaker 2: praised him.
- 3:38Speaker 4: And.
- 3:40Speaker 2: They put it on their watch what happens live Instagram page.
- 3:44Speaker 2: And the comments were not in his favor from what
- 3:48Speaker 2: I read. People didn't really think that was the deserve
- 3:52Speaker 2: the muzzle of the week. Okay. And with less than
- 3:56Speaker 2: a week later, this question came up. So I think
- 3:59Speaker 2: they may have realized they play their hand wrong on
- 4:01Speaker 2: that one. And the way to answer is we allow
- 4:04Speaker 2: people to have different political points of view. Now, if
- 4:07Speaker 2: you really look down the road of who got fired,
- 4:10Speaker 2: there is an argument for both sides because there's been
- 4:13Speaker 2: a lot of really liberal people that have been fired too. Yes.
- 4:17Speaker 2: You know, and that, that, so it's like, was it
- 4:19Speaker 2: that or was it that it just didn't really work
- 4:22Speaker 2: for the cast and the franchise at the time?
- 4:24Speaker 4: Did the liberal people get into a specific scandal related to?
- 4:28Speaker 2: No, they did not.
- 4:29Speaker 4: So good point.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Very, very good point. No, I think it's fair to
- 4:33Speaker 2: say that it definitely played a hand in, several of
- 4:36Speaker 2: the women, Ramona.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Well, Housewives of New York, they rebooted all of Housewives
- 4:40Speaker 4: of New York because people were complaining that the cast
- 4:43Speaker 4: is too conservative. And then they brought, well, they brought
- 4:46Speaker 4: in Ebony, Kay Williams, to educate everyone. And then we
- 4:50Speaker 4: had racial education dinners, if you remember that. Everyone got
- 4:53Speaker 4: assigned a black history figure. And it wasn't... Changed the show,
- 4:59Speaker 4: for sure. And then it got canceled.
- 5:01Speaker 2: And it was literally like Ramona was walking through... a
- 5:05Speaker 2: mine of like bombs and she just couldn't handle it.
- 5:09Speaker 2: And so they got rid of Ramona and, you know,
- 5:12Speaker 2: there there's, but now in the celebratory time of 20
- 5:16Speaker 2: years later, they're realizing this is what's working.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:19Speaker 2: And people know that women, um, of a certain age
- 5:23Speaker 2: and of a certain economic background might not be up
- 5:27Speaker 2: on the way that That a 25-year-old is representing themselves
- 5:33Speaker 2: and speaking on social media or in their everyday life.
- 5:37Speaker 2: And does that mean that they should be burned at
- 5:39Speaker 2: the stake and never be seen on TV again? And
- 5:42Speaker 2: after they put them on pause and fired them and
- 5:45Speaker 2: sent them off to... an island or given them only
- 5:47Speaker 2: one week of work every three years so that they
- 5:49Speaker 2: can throw a fit about which room they get, they're realizing, oh, actually,
- 5:53Speaker 2: this is what people are more receptive to and they're
- 5:57Speaker 2: more excited about and talking about. So now let's step
- 6:00Speaker 2: back and say, oh, Housewives was never supposed to be political. Yes.
- 6:05Speaker 2: But it fell in the trap that a lot of
- 6:08Speaker 2: things did during those volatile years.
- 6:10Speaker 4: I think they should acknowledge. I think there should be
- 6:13Speaker 4: an acknowledgement of like, look, Everyone went a little crazy
- 6:16Speaker 4: around 2019, 2020, 2021. It was peak woke. It was
- 6:20Speaker 4: peak cancel culture. We all overshot the mark. We overreacted.
- 6:25Speaker 4: I wish there was an acknowledgement instead of it now
- 6:28Speaker 4: just suddenly like, well, we can have people with all
- 6:30Speaker 4: kinds of views.
- 6:31Speaker 2: There isn't going to be because that would be saying,
- 6:34Speaker 2: you know what? I was wrong.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:35Speaker 2: And most people don't say I was wrong. You know,
- 6:39Speaker 2: I mean... This is sort of getting into like touchy subjects,
- 6:43Speaker 2: but I mean, what's going on with the WNBA? Like,
- 6:47Speaker 2: are they going to say, hey, maybe we're wrong about
- 6:50Speaker 2: this and maybe it should just be women who were
- 6:53Speaker 2: born women that are playing against women in this sports
- 6:56Speaker 2: where people are getting paid professionally. But they don't know
- 7:01Speaker 2: what they're going to do now. So it's like, okay,
- 7:04Speaker 2: so we're just going to go through this weird thing
- 7:06Speaker 2: that's happening with these guys now saying– I'm going to
- 7:10Speaker 2: wear a wig and do this and just to prove
- 7:12Speaker 2: to you guys that you need to admit that this
- 7:14Speaker 2: isn't a good idea and that you're wrong. And we
- 7:17Speaker 2: were just going to watch it play out. And I
- 7:19Speaker 2: think that's what's happening in this next phase of things
- 7:22Speaker 2: is like, who's going to admit that they were that, that, Oh,
- 7:26Speaker 2: in retrospect, who is going to say in retrospect, maybe
- 7:30Speaker 2: I didn't behave. Maybe I didn't say the right thing.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Maybe we reacted in a wrong way. All the housewives
- 7:38Speaker 2: is about is take accountability. Is Andy Cohen ever going
- 7:43Speaker 2: to take accountability? Are the Bravo executives ever going to
- 7:46Speaker 2: take accountability and go, yeah, we freaked the fuck out too.
- 7:50Speaker 2: We got sick of the angry DMs and the emails.
- 7:54Speaker 2: And we fell to this group of people that were
- 7:57Speaker 2: acting like they had signs and pitchforks, but they didn't.
- 8:00Speaker 2: They were just at home typing, saying, fire this person.
- 8:04Speaker 2: And we did.
- 8:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:05Speaker 4: And they overreacted.
- 8:06Speaker 2: And we had lawyers and everyone was freaking out and
- 8:09Speaker 2: everyone didn't know what to do. And no, they're just
- 8:13Speaker 2: going to act like it just didn't happen and go
- 8:17Speaker 2: watch them throw wine in each other's faces. And let
- 8:22Speaker 2: us remind us that this isn't a political show and
- 8:24Speaker 2: this is an escape.
- 8:25Speaker 4: You know, they probably should, though, I think maybe if
- 8:29Speaker 4: they're so sensitive about the politics of the cast members,
- 8:32Speaker 4: maybe there should be a blanket rule in your contract
- 8:34Speaker 4: that you can't talk about politics at all. Left, right, whatever.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Or there should be a blanket rule that you will
- 8:40Speaker 2: turn in your voting records to them. Yeah, you can't vote.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I mean, like, how far is it going to get? Like,
- 8:44Speaker 2: are they literally going to go, we need to know
- 8:46Speaker 2: if you've ever given to, we need to know what
- 8:49Speaker 2: charities you've given to. They all better be LGBTQIA and pets. Yeah.
- 8:55Speaker 2: They better not be anything else that could be anything
- 8:57Speaker 2: but animals and that. And then we also need to
- 9:00Speaker 2: know who you voted for, who your parents voted for.
- 9:06Speaker 2: What countries your grandparents came from and how they got
- 9:09Speaker 2: into here. I mean, how far is it going to go?
- 9:12Speaker 2: I mean, I understand you say something nasty on a
- 9:15Speaker 2: tweet that... is living on your page and you didn't
- 9:18Speaker 2: think to delete it before you met with the Bravo people,
- 9:20Speaker 2: then you're maybe that fucking stupid. But also having really
- 9:24Speaker 2: stupid housewives is also entertaining.
- 9:26Speaker 4: I mean, that's why they're good television because they are.
- 9:29Speaker 2: They're narcissistic stupid. Yes.
- 9:31Speaker 4: And I just want to add in that it goes
- 9:33Speaker 4: both ways. Like, yes, 2020, it was one way. It
- 9:36Speaker 4: was if you said anything that was, you know, politically incorrect, whatever.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Now I kind of feel like more of the right
- 9:42Speaker 4: are turning into Karens and canceling people on the other side.
- 9:44Speaker 4: So it goes both ways.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Totally agree.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Annoying from both sides. I think, you know, I don't
- 9:50Speaker 4: care if I'm watching, you know, a Trump supporter or
- 9:54Speaker 4: an AOC supporter or whatever. If they're good on the
- 9:57Speaker 4: TV and they have a storyline that works for the show,
- 9:59Speaker 4: I I'm more than happy.
- 10:01Speaker 2: But also like hating someone and thinking they're annoying and
- 10:05Speaker 2: being bugged by them is what makes good reality TV. Yeah.
- 10:10Speaker 2: If they were all sweet and lovely, you wouldn't watch either.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Well, they tried to do it with Rony Reboot. And
- 10:16Speaker 4: let's scale it back and have Jenna Lyons. And look
- 10:18Speaker 4: how that worked. It was not good. And now all
- 10:22Speaker 4: of the Ramona and everyone now have their own show
- 10:25Speaker 4: on E. Because E was like, oh, we think they're
- 10:27Speaker 4: good TV. We'll put them all together.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 4: So there you go. Yeah.
- 10:32Speaker 2: So, you know, I guess, yeah, with Vicky and then Emily,
- 10:38Speaker 2: I guess, you know, somebody figured it out. They found
- 10:42Speaker 2: out that she... went to a party and wrote a check. Well,
- 10:46Speaker 2: you know, with Emily.
- 10:47Speaker 4: And therefore, and she.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Says, she's kind of like, well, whatever. I don't feel
- 10:51Speaker 2: that way now. So leave me the fuck alone. But
- 10:53Speaker 2: people do change.
- 10:53Speaker 4: People change their politics. Maybe she did. I mean, I
- 10:56Speaker 4: know plenty of people that supported one candidate a few
- 10:58Speaker 4: years ago and now it's 2026 and they're like, oh,
- 11:00Speaker 4: I don't really like how things are going. Now I've changed.
- 11:03Speaker 4: People change.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I just remember there was a time it was like,
- 11:06Speaker 2: don't talk about politics or religion at the dinner table.
- 11:09Speaker 2: And you went into a voting booth and the curtain,
- 11:12Speaker 2: this is old days, curtain would cover because you weren't
- 11:14Speaker 2: supposed to know. And it's like when people say, I
- 11:18Speaker 2: don't want, you know, go in person because I don't
- 11:20Speaker 2: want to do a mail-in ballot. I'm like, I can
- 11:23Speaker 2: see someone not wanting to do a mail-in ballot because
- 11:24Speaker 2: maybe some fricking fan is going to steal your mail
- 11:27Speaker 2: and open it up and take a photo of it
- 11:29Speaker 2: and say, you liar! You voted against this proposition.
- 11:34Speaker 4: But, you know, back then as well, you think about, like,
- 11:37Speaker 4: I don't think people made politics their whole personality back then.
- 11:41Speaker 4: And we didn't have social media, so people didn't put
- 11:43Speaker 4: out everything they're thinking and get on their Instagram stories
- 11:46Speaker 4: and sound off. Like, you're probably just at home and
- 11:48Speaker 4: you see something on the news and you just talk
- 11:50Speaker 4: to the person next to you and then you forget
- 11:52Speaker 4: about it. But now you put it on social media,
- 11:54Speaker 4: it's there forever, and some Bravo fan digs it up.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I'm like saying, even us just talking a little bit
- 11:59Speaker 2: about this I'm wondering, and I'm like, no, I don't care.
- 12:03Speaker 2: We're keeping it in the show. You're not going to
- 12:05Speaker 2: fucking intimidate me because I'm talking about Bravo. This is
- 12:11Speaker 2: an article about politics with Bravo. And it is interesting
- 12:16Speaker 2: that we discussed it, and it is staying in juicy scope.
- 12:18Speaker 2: And leave me. the fuck alone about this.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Shit and people can boycott whoever they want to yeah
- 12:25Speaker 4: yeah you can you can make the decision.
- 12:26Speaker 2: To not you can block people you you don't have
- 12:29Speaker 2: to watch this season yeah you don't have to root
- 12:31Speaker 2: for them you don't have to go to bravo con
- 12:34Speaker 2: you don't have to wait in line to take a
- 12:35Speaker 2: photo of the person that you hate you could go
- 12:38Speaker 2: and like the girl from summer house that nobody knows
- 12:40Speaker 2: do whatever the fuck you want like you know it's
- 12:43Speaker 2: just so Um, annoying. And also it is just a
- 12:48Speaker 2: reality show and there's no tenure. There's no, I was
- 12:52Speaker 2: guaranteed 10 years and they got rid of me before
- 12:55Speaker 2: I made tenure at the university. Like it's just a
- 12:59Speaker 2: TV show and there's no guarantee that they're going to
- 13:00Speaker 2: keep you forever. And when you're gone, you're gone. And
- 13:03Speaker 2: maybe you come back and maybe don't. It made you famous,
- 13:07Speaker 2: so use that fame to the best of your ability,
- 13:09Speaker 2: you know?
- 13:09Speaker 4: I always think when people funnel their anger into getting
- 13:12Speaker 4: angry at a reality star, it's like, direct that at,
- 13:15Speaker 4: you know, public officials and politicians. I don't, you know,
- 13:18Speaker 4: that energy could be better used in a more productive
- 13:21Speaker 4: way than Vicky Gumbelson. What?
- 13:24Speaker 2: But, you know, they need them to get it. If
- 13:26Speaker 2: you didn't care, then they wouldn't stay on the show either.
- 13:29Speaker 2: So it's like they know that by going on the
- 13:31Speaker 2: show that they're not going to be loved by everybody.
- 13:34Speaker 2: And it is hard when you're not loved by everybody
- 13:36Speaker 2: because I thought everyone loved me too. Ultimate Girls Trip
- 13:42Speaker 2: is really fun. Oh, you like it? like it you
- 13:47Speaker 2: don't like it tell me why you don't like.
- 13:48Speaker 4: It I mean I think it's a it's like a
- 13:50Speaker 4: clips show basically yeah it's a clips show and I
- 13:55Speaker 4: think it is very much geared towards the diehard Bravo
- 13:58Speaker 4: fan that is listening to 20 housewives podcasts a week
- 14:02Speaker 4: that is going to the Dorit Kemsley unburdened book signing
- 14:05Speaker 4: at Barnes and Noble and waiting an hour for a
- 14:07Speaker 4: photo and their biggest trip of the year is BravoCon
- 14:12Speaker 4: so I think it's cute for the fans the diehard fans,
- 14:16Speaker 4: but otherwise it's a clips show.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Well, one of the clips I saw did turn me on.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:22Speaker 2: And it's coming up in the next episode. Okay. And
- 14:25Speaker 2: they're waiting at the sand and sea sand and surf
- 14:28Speaker 2: in Laguna, which I've stayed up many times. And, um,
- 14:31Speaker 2: they're getting ready to go on the bus to head
- 14:33Speaker 2: back to LA where they're going to go to Kyle's
- 14:35Speaker 2: white party. And, um, and I'm in that one. I
- 14:40Speaker 2: went to that party and, uh, they're like, where's Kyle? Oh,
- 14:44Speaker 2: I don't know. She was here a second ago and
- 14:47Speaker 2: she's in a bush and, and crying and Vicki comes
- 14:51Speaker 2: over and she's like, what's wrong? You know? And you
- 14:54Speaker 2: think like, this is great. You know, this is two
- 14:57Speaker 2: housewives that have been on for the longest time coming together.
- 15:01Speaker 2: And Kyle's like, I just, today is my 30th wedding
- 15:06Speaker 2: anniversary and Marie, Marie Sue just texted me and I'm just,
- 15:09Speaker 2: like a weird day and it's like a sad day
- 15:11Speaker 2: and i'm just having a hard time and vicky's like
- 15:15Speaker 2: well you should have a hard time you failed your
- 15:17Speaker 2: whole family she's like i mean it's yeah no you
- 15:21Speaker 2: should have stayed together for your kids well it's really
- 15:25Speaker 2: hard too because the fact yeah you've let everyone down
- 15:28Speaker 2: i thought that you were the couple that was going
- 15:30Speaker 2: to make it forever but you didn't you gave up
- 15:33Speaker 2: you gave up and now you're getting divorced and you
- 15:36Speaker 2: broke up your family So you should cry about it
- 15:39Speaker 2: and you should feel bad and you should work and
- 15:42Speaker 2: you should sell. Well, I was like, it's so awful
- 15:48Speaker 2: that if this was in a scripted sitcom and I
- 15:52Speaker 2: was working on that show, I would say it's too unbelievable.
- 15:56Speaker 2: No woman in her right mind would go up to
- 15:59Speaker 2: Kyle knowing what she's been through and say, yeah, you
- 16:01Speaker 2: did fail the world. Nobody would say that. But Vicki does.
- 16:06Speaker 2: And that is why she's terrible as a friend in
- 16:11Speaker 2: this capacity, or she's clueless, or she's just old and
- 16:15Speaker 2: white and narcissistic. But this is an insane scene that
- 16:22Speaker 2: captivated me. So like, yes, I'm captivated by how horrific
- 16:27Speaker 2: it is. When someone is crying their eyes out, that
- 16:30Speaker 2: you would then turn it around. Any normal person would say, Kyle,
- 16:36Speaker 2: I know you have had the weight of the world
- 16:38Speaker 2: on your shoulders because you guys did present so perfect,
- 16:41Speaker 2: but it's about your life. And the fact that you're
- 16:43Speaker 2: still friends today says so much. Your daughters are all
- 16:47Speaker 2: close to each other. You have a fabulous family. Don't
- 16:50Speaker 2: be hard on yourself. That's what a normal woman would say.
- 16:55Speaker 2: You guys, I am so excited. I'm coming to San
- 16:58Speaker 2: Francisco COBS October 2nd and 3rd. four shows, and then
- 17:03Speaker 2: I'll be at the Desert Ridge Improv in Phoenix on

- 17:48Speaker 4: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next.
- 17:50Speaker 7: Each week on the show, I sit down with extraordinary
- 17:53Speaker 7: people who have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have
- 17:58Speaker 7: found a way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 18:07Speaker 1: filed against me.
- 18:07Speaker 4: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 18:10Speaker 4: what would you do if it was given back?
- 18:12Speaker 5: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 18:15Speaker 5: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 18:17Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad.
- 18:19Speaker 5: I need a home dad. What happens next?
- 18:21Speaker 2: When I came in, he started crying.
- 18:22Speaker 5: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 18:27Speaker 5: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 18:30Speaker 5: happens next.
- 18:31Speaker 4: I decided to risk it all.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I realized how valuable every day was.
- 18:34Speaker 5: You're worth the work.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches. You can
- 18:38Speaker 2: use your voice even if it shakes.
- 18:39Speaker 7: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 18:43Speaker 7: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 18:53Speaker 4: Well, that's why they brought Vicky back to OC for
- 18:56Speaker 4: season 20, because we need that. And that was an
- 18:59Speaker 4: incredible moment. My theory with Vicky, I had heard before,
- 19:03Speaker 4: because you know how she came back on OC for
- 19:05Speaker 4: a few seasons and she was a friend and she
- 19:07Speaker 4: was all just like, I hate fighting. Like I want
- 19:10Speaker 4: us to all get along. I basically heard that she's
- 19:12Speaker 4: not going to do stuff like that unless she's getting
- 19:14Speaker 4: a paycheck. So I think she thinks these things, but
- 19:17Speaker 4: I think she is self-aware that in her day-to-day life,
- 19:20Speaker 4: she doesn't say it. But then if there's a check
- 19:22Speaker 4: on the table, she's just going to say whatever she's thinking.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Yes. I mean, it almost seems too unbelievable.
- 19:27Speaker 4: I don't think she would do it in real life.
- 19:29Speaker 2: I mean, obviously, probably a producer said, Kyle's upset. She's
- 19:34Speaker 2: over there. Make sure you go and talk to her.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Maybe that was the most that was pre-planned.
- 19:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 19:40Speaker 2: But could it have been? I do think that she literally,
- 19:46Speaker 2: that's what she thinks. Like, you did fuck up.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Yes, I believe she thinks that.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Still says to this day I regret breaking up with
- 19:53Speaker 2: Don and she just said she ran into him at
- 19:56Speaker 2: the nest which is like you'll have to come next
- 19:59Speaker 2: time we go it's very fun dancing and it's a
- 20:04Speaker 2: variety of aged people out in La Quinta love the
- 20:07Speaker 2: owner shout out to Dodie the owner she's fabulous And
- 20:11Speaker 2: she's like, said, I saw Don there. And she was like, Don, Vicki,
- 20:15Speaker 2: she's living with her boyfriend in a house they share
- 20:18Speaker 2: out there. And she was like, and I regret it.
- 20:22Speaker 2: I regret, you know, cheating on Don that time with
- 20:25Speaker 2: that guy in Cabo. Then Tamara said, you call me
- 20:29Speaker 2: the next day. And people are like, a naked guy's
- 20:31Speaker 2: in my bed. And she's like, you're disgusting, Tamara. Like,
- 20:35Speaker 2: it was so, like that type of the stuff, which
- 20:38Speaker 2: is just, like the most, you guys are such, I'm
- 20:41Speaker 2: so sick of this show talking about friendships when they
- 20:43Speaker 2: are all horrible friends to each other. They don't keep
- 20:47Speaker 2: each other's secrets. Not only do they reveal the secrets,
- 20:50Speaker 2: they reveal it on the reunion when the most eyes
- 20:53Speaker 2: are on it and they know it's gonna be replayed
- 20:55Speaker 2: for the next 30 years. So why are we talking about,
- 21:01Speaker 2: none of them are good friends, everyone hates each other,
- 21:03Speaker 2: I don't believe any of them would be hanging out
- 21:05Speaker 2: or talking to each other if they weren't on TV.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Yeah, well, that's the new season of Orange County is
- 21:09Speaker 4: let's just talk about our friendship. Oh, wait, I want
- 21:11Speaker 4: to just go to this.
- 21:12Speaker 2: This was Luann. Luann did a big New York magazine cover,
- 21:18Speaker 2: an article, and it said, Countess Luann will drink you
- 21:21Speaker 2: under the table. And I'm like, this is the title? Like,
- 21:25Speaker 2: we do remember that she got arrested for drunken disorderly.
- 21:31Speaker 2: She wasn't behind the wheel. Yes. Like Shannon Medora, she
- 21:33Speaker 2: was not behind the wheel. She was confused at what
- 21:36Speaker 2: room she was in and she drank too much. And
- 21:39Speaker 2: from there, she did go to rehab. She went to AA.
- 21:43Speaker 4: She was in the cop car. Remember the dash cam, whoops,
- 21:46Speaker 4: the dash cam cops footage of her.
- 21:48Speaker 7: Right.
- 21:48Speaker 2: She got out of the back, got her wrists out
- 21:50Speaker 2: of the thing. And she did her AA meetings. And
- 21:55Speaker 2: I remember she was doing the AA meetings when they
- 21:57Speaker 2: were in Miami and she brought Sonia and Sonia's like,
- 22:00Speaker 2: I don't like this. This is depressing. And she's like,
- 22:02Speaker 2: she likes to go up there and like tell her story.
- 22:04Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, she's working on her act for the cabaret.
- 22:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:08Speaker 2: I used to think when I needed to get time
- 22:10Speaker 2: for stand-up, I literally was like I could get two
- 22:14Speaker 2: birds with one stone because I found out all the
- 22:15Speaker 2: best agents went to this one AA meeting off of
- 22:18Speaker 2: Robertson and I needed an agent. And I was like,
- 22:20Speaker 2: what if I just started like going to AA meetings
- 22:24Speaker 2: saying I'm a struggling stand-up that is an alcoholic and
- 22:27Speaker 2: then maybe an agent would discover me, but I also
- 22:29Speaker 2: could get stage time.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Yes, I mean– That's brilliant. That could be a TV show.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Have you sold that?
- 22:37Speaker 2: I just give the stories out, just do this stupid show.
- 22:40Speaker 2: But anyway, and also in this, she's smoking. She's doing
- 22:45Speaker 2: two things that are not great for someone to do
- 22:47Speaker 2: when they're 20 or when they're 62.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Well, it was funny that after her whole, you know,
- 22:54Speaker 4: drunken arrest scandal was on the show, she was sort
- 22:57Speaker 4: of like had to like masquerade as she was sober
- 22:59Speaker 4: and she was, you know, going. It's like we all
- 23:00Speaker 4: knew that she wasn't. Everyone knew that she wasn't. Everyone
- 23:03Speaker 4: knew that she didn't think she had a problem. And
- 23:05Speaker 4: then she just waited it out. Now she's on the
- 23:06Speaker 4: cover of New York Magazine boasting about how she couldn't
- 23:10Speaker 4: drink anybody under the table.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I mean, I just talked about Brad Pitt going back
- 23:14Speaker 2: to drinking after being sober for seven years. And yes,
- 23:18Speaker 2: before it was seen that she was partaking in champagne
- 23:23Speaker 2: or white wine, I was hanging out with her and
- 23:25Speaker 2: she was having champagne and white wine or rosé or whatever.
- 23:30Speaker 2: But she never... seemed drunk to me. And I don't
- 23:33Speaker 2: ever see, I didn't really think she, out of the
- 23:37Speaker 2: spectrum of drunk housewives, she was not one.
- 23:41Speaker 4: She just had a bad night.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Right, I mean, she fell in the bush, but that
- 23:45Speaker 2: was more like, she didn't see the step.
- 23:48Speaker 4: She was pottying.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but I never really saw like, oh, when, you know,
- 23:52Speaker 2: we saw Dorinda slur and get really mean. We've seen
- 23:55Speaker 2: Shanna Bedore get really drunk. We've seen Tamra get very drunk.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I feel like Vicky is, seems to be able to
- 24:02Speaker 2: maintain her alcohol. Lisa Vanderpump could always maintain it. Even
- 24:08Speaker 2: Kyle kind of surprised me that she went sober. Because
- 24:12Speaker 2: I definitely feel like she maintained, at least on camera
- 24:15Speaker 2: when she would drink, she seemed to be okay. So
- 24:19Speaker 2: with her, I was kind of like, I really think
- 24:21Speaker 2: she had a bad night and had to go that route.
- 24:23Speaker 2: And I think that she has a lifestyle that lends
- 24:27Speaker 2: itself to having a couple drinks. She's never missed a show.
- 24:32Speaker 2: You know, so it's like I feel when she does
- 24:34Speaker 2: her cabaret show, she gives a good show.
- 24:36Speaker 4: I'm sick of sober housewives and I'm sick of sober
- 24:39Speaker 4: people in general because I did not. And my dad,
- 24:43Speaker 4: my dad was an alcoholic and sober and everything. So
- 24:46Speaker 4: I heard about all the AA constantly. AA people like
- 24:49Speaker 4: to preach a lot.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Were you around when he was still suffering with alcoholism?
- 24:52Speaker 4: A little bit, but he got sober when I was young.
- 24:55Speaker 4: And then, you know, a lot of preaching and he
- 24:58Speaker 4: would be the sober companion for people. So I've heard
- 25:01Speaker 4: it all. And I didn't drink that much in Australia.
- 25:03Speaker 4: And then when I moved here, there is alcohol everywhere.
- 25:06Speaker 4: It's crazy. Like it's not normal in Australia to just
- 25:08Speaker 4: go out for brunch and people trying to like shove
- 25:10Speaker 4: mimosas down your, you know, neck. And I started drinking
- 25:14Speaker 4: more when I got here and I love it. And
- 25:16Speaker 4: everyone's going sober now. And I'm like, it's so boring. No,
- 25:19Speaker 4: I love it. Love a cocktail at any time of
- 25:22Speaker 4: the day.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Well, you know what? It's to each his own. Yeah.
- 25:28Speaker 2: It's fun. And if people want to not drink or
- 25:31Speaker 2: they want to go a healthy route or a gummy
- 25:33Speaker 2: route or.
- 25:34Speaker 4: I don't want to hear it though. It's sort of
- 25:36Speaker 4: become like the new like vegetarianism. You know how people
- 25:39Speaker 4: would get annoyed at vegetarians going, oh my God, why
- 25:41Speaker 4: are you eating meat? Like that's so bad for the environment.
- 25:44Speaker 4: It's so bad for the animals. And now everyone's like, oh,
- 25:45Speaker 4: I don't drink. It's like, well.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Well, I only see the sober stuff like on TikTok
- 25:52Speaker 2: and stuff. Yeah. And I'm like, how does this bitch
- 25:54Speaker 2: know I need to curtail it? But my own friends don't. Um,
- 25:58Speaker 2: they still drink the way we've all drank, you know,
- 26:01Speaker 2: but it is a bummer when you were like ready
- 26:03Speaker 2: to have a fun weekend and someone's like, Oh no.
- 26:08Speaker 2: But also that is the GLP ones too. It makes
- 26:11Speaker 2: you less, it just, you don't want to have that
- 26:14Speaker 2: second drink or even that first. And so it's like
- 26:17Speaker 2: a win-win except for the people that.
- 26:21Speaker 4: There's a lot of housewives getting sober. Like Gina on OC.
- 26:24Speaker 4: I love her and I've always been a huge Gina
- 26:26Speaker 4: and Emily defender. But, you know, if they were going
- 26:29Speaker 4: to split them up and they had to get rid
- 26:31Speaker 4: of one, I would get rid of Gina just solely
- 26:33Speaker 4: because she's sober.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Well, it's not even just sober. It's like ordering hot water.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:39Speaker 2: They don't even order hot water with a lemon. Like
- 26:42Speaker 2: really hot water is what you're starting with at four
- 26:44Speaker 2: o'clock on a Saturday? Like a hot water? And I'm like,
- 26:48Speaker 2: I mean.
- 26:49Speaker 4: You got to get shit faced. Like, I mean, OC,
- 26:52Speaker 4: how many fun moments have we seen with the, even
- 26:55Speaker 4: back when the Trace Amigas were getting along well and
- 26:57Speaker 4: they were dancing on bars and doing shots and Emily
- 27:00Speaker 4: drinks and gets mean and calls people out. Yeah.
- 27:03Speaker 2: But then that does live in infamy for you. So
- 27:06Speaker 2: it is more fun for us at home, but I
- 27:08Speaker 2: could see why if I had a bad season or
- 27:12Speaker 2: I got really drunk or I, I mean, sometimes I
- 27:14Speaker 2: just like, you know, you look back at like a
- 27:16Speaker 2: video from the night and you like hear your voice
- 27:18Speaker 2: and you're like, oh, that sounds different. Like that's so,
- 27:21Speaker 2: I can't imagine that like being on TV. I probably
- 27:23Speaker 2: would be that person that barely breaks on camera.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Gina's never looked better. She looks absolutely stunning. She's so successful.
- 27:29Speaker 4: She's got the marriage together. The career's thriving. If she
- 27:32Speaker 4: leaves Housewives, she will be a successful realtor. So it's
- 27:36Speaker 4: clearly working for her. But for me as a viewer,
- 27:39Speaker 4: I liked the hair extensions and the drinking. Yeah. And
- 27:45Speaker 4: the personal issues.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I mean, what do you want to say about this show?
- 27:51Speaker 2: I just, the OC, there's nothing to say.
- 27:54Speaker 4: It's just a lot of talking about friendships. And okay,
- 27:57Speaker 4: here's what I think they need to do. Because I
- 27:59Speaker 4: like most of the cast. They're just missing kind of
- 28:02Speaker 4: an active, like they're just missing something juicy. It's like
- 28:05Speaker 4: they're almost there. Shannon, it's time for Shannon to go.
- 28:08Speaker 4: If you've got to get rid of one of the
- 28:09Speaker 4: Trace Amigas, it's got to be Shannon. I want Alexis
- 28:12Speaker 4: Bellino back. I thought she was so good that season.
- 28:15Speaker 4: I thought it was... I was so upset when they
- 28:17Speaker 4: did not bring her back. Clearly because of Shannon. Because,
- 28:19Speaker 4: you know, Shannon just happened to have the best season
- 28:21Speaker 4: of her entire Housewives career that year. I want Alexis back. And, yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 4: maybe another new person. Because the Carmella girl's good. You know,
- 28:31Speaker 4: I like Vicky. I like everybody else. I do like
- 28:34Speaker 4: Emily and Gina. I'm just saying if you had to
- 28:36Speaker 4: get rid of one, it would be Gina just because
- 28:38Speaker 4: she doesn't drink. Yeah, so... Alexis and someone new, and
- 28:42Speaker 4: then we'll be good.
- 28:43Speaker 2: So keep Emily.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I love Emily.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Here was my article.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Oh, yes, your feud.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Maybe you can join.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Shabador reveals why she stopped speaking to Heather MacDonald and
- 28:53Speaker 2: recalls her recent interaction with Fort McManus. We already talked
- 28:56Speaker 2: about this. She's still bitter about it. She's still bringing
- 28:59Speaker 2: it up. She's still claiming she doesn't fall on purpose, whatever.
- 29:02Speaker 2: That's fine. It was all a joke. Like, it was
- 29:05Speaker 2: all a joke because, you know, that's the way she is.
- 29:08Speaker 2: And I've been imitating housewives. Forever. So she's just one
- 29:12Speaker 2: that I can do.
- 29:13Speaker 4: But are you going to do more? Because I texted
- 29:15Speaker 4: you after I saw that and I said, Heather, you
- 29:17Speaker 4: need to make this like a running bid. You need
- 29:19Speaker 4: to be filming yourself going shopping, doing pratfalls at, you know, Marshalls.
- 29:24Speaker 4: So are we going to see more of it? Because
- 29:27Speaker 4: I want it.
- 29:28Speaker 6: Maybe.
- 29:28Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Because I mean, falling is funny. So that's why she
- 29:31Speaker 2: does it.
- 29:31Speaker 4: It was very funny.
- 29:32Speaker 2: And like I said, I hope it is an act.
- 29:34Speaker 2: I really do. I would rather be an act than
- 29:37Speaker 2: like something else. But who cares it's just it's yeah
- 29:42Speaker 2: i just feel like it's.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Well she's saying it's a balance issue or something now
- 29:46Speaker 4: but it's like on um now on the valley everyone
- 29:49Speaker 4: is saying it's postpartum for everything every bad thing they
- 29:52Speaker 4: did i had postpartum rage I had baby brain. I mean,
- 29:57Speaker 4: everything is now blamed on that. So you were clearly
- 30:01Speaker 4: falling on purpose for a bit.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Well, at least Reality Blur picked really cute photos of
- 30:07Speaker 2: both of us.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Oh, and sorry, did you see on... Yeah, she's beautiful.
- 30:12Speaker 4: On Girls Trip when Vicky was getting tangled up in
- 30:16Speaker 4: the wig, it's like they're always doing a bit. Oh,
- 30:20Speaker 4: I can't get my wig off. It's like, girl, you
- 30:23Speaker 4: can get the wig off. It's fine.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it's going to be a lot of costumes
- 30:29Speaker 2: and a lot of things like that. Very set up
- 30:31Speaker 2: type of stuff. But I still.
- 30:33Speaker 4: Think getting tangled in a yo-yo string.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Yeah. I still think that's where, why Andy like said that,
- 30:38Speaker 2: like just watch the, watch the show. Enjoy it. Don't
- 30:41Speaker 2: get angry. Let's step away from who I gave the
- 30:44Speaker 2: mazel to last week. Like just, you know, um, okay.
- 30:48Speaker 2: We talked about the valley, the valley. We haven't seen
- 30:51Speaker 2: the second part yet, which you guys will be able
- 30:54Speaker 2: to watch tonight or the night before. Yeah.
- 30:57Speaker 4: They'll be watching it by the time they're.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Listening to Juicy Scoop. A lot of people were just
- 31:01Speaker 2: really shocked by Danny's appearance. And someone, I saw this
- 31:07Speaker 2: somewhere where they said, I heard that one of the
- 31:10Speaker 2: producers took the stuffing out of his couch seat to
- 31:14Speaker 2: make him appear smaller. And I just thought the visual
- 31:18Speaker 2: of some guy before they came on set and his
- 31:22Speaker 2: job was to like, I don't know how you would
- 31:24Speaker 2: take out the stuff.
- 31:25Speaker 4: No one did that.
- 31:26Speaker 2: What?
- 31:26Speaker 4: He's just that small.
- 31:28Speaker 2: And then just to sink down, I think he wanted
- 31:31Speaker 2: to get his jaw maxed done or whatever you call
- 31:34Speaker 2: the maxing.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, the looks maxing. Looks maxing.
- 31:37Speaker 2: So I think he lost a lot of weight, and
- 31:39Speaker 2: then I think he got Botox, and I think he
- 31:41Speaker 2: dyed his hair darker, and that's why he looks so
- 31:43Speaker 2: different in this reunion.
- 31:44Speaker 4: Yes. Because look at him here. Yeah, he looks hot there.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Like, look how much rounder his face is and stuff,
- 31:51Speaker 2: and she looks exactly the same, so I don't think
- 31:53Speaker 2: this was too long ago.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Yeah, he looks Max in a little too hard.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Yeah, like, look. That really is a big difference, right?
- 32:01Speaker 4: And it's, like, scary, too. Like, there's something quite chilling
- 32:05Speaker 4: about the image. Yeah. It's kind of cursed.
- 32:07Speaker 2: And then we do... I know they do talk about
- 32:09Speaker 2: what happened at Jasmine's wedding.
- 32:11Speaker 4: Well, he says... He goes, I haven't, because he was
- 32:14Speaker 4: so drunk on the finale. Remember, he's slurring in the back.
- 32:16Speaker 2: In Mexico. Yes.
- 32:17Speaker 4: No, no, in Brittany's Halloween party.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Oh, the Count Dracula stuff.
- 32:21Speaker 4: Yes, and then Janet tries to throw the drink and misses,
- 32:23Speaker 4: so then she throws the cup instead because the drink missed.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:26Speaker 4: And he goes, I have not been that drunk since
- 32:29Speaker 4: that night. And then Brittany's like, well, let's talk about
- 32:32Speaker 4: the wedding. And then we haven't seen the full episode,
- 32:35Speaker 4: but in the preview they say that he went to
- 32:37Speaker 4: Jasmine's Jasmine's wedding and he was so drunk he had
- 32:40Speaker 4: his shirt off and his shoes off in the corridor
- 32:43Speaker 4: or something. So, you know, another lie of him saying,
- 32:47Speaker 4: I haven't been drinking and then he has.
- 32:50Speaker 2: So then someone had to like kind of babysit him again,
- 32:53Speaker 2: I'm sure. Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 4: And that's pretty inappropriate. I mean, I know you let
- 32:56Speaker 4: loose at a wedding, but if you're taking your clothes
- 32:58Speaker 4: off at someone's wedding.
- 33:00Speaker 2: But still, it's someone else's wedding. Yeah. Like you have to.
- 33:04Speaker 4: You can get shit-faced at a wedding, but don't take
- 33:07Speaker 4: your clothes off and your shoes off. That's taking it
- 33:10Speaker 4: a little too far.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I'm just remembering some weddings right now.
- 33:15Speaker 4: That you've got a little wild at?
- 33:17Speaker 2: Not wild. Just too wanting to make toasts and stuff
- 33:21Speaker 2: when I'm not in the wedding party. Like too emotional.
- 33:27Speaker 2: I have a wedding coming up, and I'm going to
- 33:29Speaker 2: be so well-behaved.
- 33:31Speaker 3: No.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I am not making any toast.
- 33:34Speaker 4: So wait, are you kind of like the girl that
- 33:37Speaker 4: then they're like, don't invite Heather to your wedding? Because at?
- 33:40Speaker 4: Janelle's wedding. She made the most uncomfortable toast and we
- 33:43Speaker 4: were all just, it was awful. Is that you?
- 33:46Speaker 2: Who's Janelle?
- 33:46Speaker 4: I'm just making someone up, but I'm just like, did
- 33:50Speaker 4: you do that?
- 33:51Speaker 2: Um, no, I think people are really entertained by it
- 33:54Speaker 2: and it's all from a good heart and I don't
- 33:56Speaker 2: make it about me. Like it is really like this
- 33:59Speaker 2: person is, this is just, I have to talk. I
- 34:03Speaker 2: have to say something.
- 34:04Speaker 4: Cause that's what it's giving.
- 34:05Speaker 2: This, and, No, and then there'll just be times I'll
- 34:08Speaker 2: just be like, I don't know, just walking to like
- 34:09Speaker 2: Trader Joe's and it'll haunt me. It'll be like a
- 34:13Speaker 2: visual of like, why did you make a toast when
- 34:17Speaker 2: you were like three shards in? Just don't.
- 34:19Speaker 4: Have you seen that clip of the little girl? Well,
- 34:22Speaker 4: she's not that little. She's probably like 11 or 12
- 34:24Speaker 4: and it's on a flight and the flight has stopped
- 34:26Speaker 4: and her mom lets her get up on the speakerphone
- 34:29Speaker 4: and she sings an entire theme song from Moana. The
- 34:32Speaker 4: whole song off key.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Off-key.
- 34:35Speaker 4: Yes, off-key. She sounds terrible. And everyone's there, and it's
- 34:38Speaker 4: like the flight's been delayed like four hours, so they're
- 34:41Speaker 4: sitting there locked in the Delta flight. She's singing the
- 34:44Speaker 4: Moana theme song.
- 34:47Speaker 2: I was from a family where my parents would have
- 34:50Speaker 2: people over, and my dad would be like, little girls,
- 34:53Speaker 2: and we'd have to come down the hall and sing
- 34:55Speaker 2: songs from Annie. Yeah. But we were pretty good.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Okay.
- 35:02Speaker 2: But still.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:04Speaker 2: We've never done it in a public place without it
- 35:07Speaker 2: being like a church play. Okay.
- 35:09Speaker 4: You haven't done it at a wedding. Have you sung
- 35:11Speaker 4: at a wedding?
- 35:12Speaker 2: No. Okay. I had someone say, would you want to
- 35:17Speaker 2: sing or be a bridesmaid? I said a bridesmaid. And
- 35:20Speaker 2: then the other one was I sang. Oh, God. I
- 35:25Speaker 2: sang at my sister's wedding.
- 35:28Speaker 4: What did you sing?
- 35:29Speaker 2: She asked me to do it. And I just, and
- 35:33Speaker 2: it was such a problem because I'm like, it made
- 35:35Speaker 2: like the lead up to it. Like I was so
- 35:36Speaker 2: stressed about it when I could have just been having fun.
- 35:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:40Speaker 2: I sang Ave Maria.
- 35:44Speaker 4: Can I ask a question?
- 35:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Was the sister that you don't get along with, was
- 35:50Speaker 4: she there?
- 35:51Speaker 2: Yes, but it was my sister Shannon that I sang for.
- 35:54Speaker 4: Yes, but it was the sister that doesn't like you.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Was she in attendance at that wedding?
- 35:57Speaker 2: Yes.
- 35:58Speaker 4: And was she like fucking Heather again? I don't know.
- 36:02Speaker 2: It was such a long thing. If you've been to
- 36:04Speaker 2: a real Catholic mass wedding, it's like an hour and
- 36:07Speaker 2: a half.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Was she asked to sing?
- 36:10Speaker 2: Um, no, but she wouldn't have wanted to. She wasn't
- 36:12Speaker 2: like both. Just Shannon and I are like singers. Okay. And,
- 36:15Speaker 2: but I remember like there's two ways to sing Aubrey
- 36:17Speaker 2: Maria and I decided to do it like in a
- 36:19Speaker 2: lower key. Cause I thought, I don't know if I
- 36:22Speaker 2: can get to those high notes. And someone was like, Oh,
- 36:25Speaker 2: I didn't realize you had such a weird low voice.
- 36:28Speaker 2: So instead that to be like at the wedding after it,
- 36:30Speaker 2: I was just like, Well, I don't know.
- 36:32Speaker 4: I don't think there's two ways to sing it.
- 36:33Speaker 2: I think he's... There's like all this like Latin in there.
- 36:38Speaker 2: I don't even remember, but like, yeah. And I did
- 36:47Speaker 2: it because I was supposed to be, I got chosen
- 36:49Speaker 2: to do it in high school. And then the music
- 36:52Speaker 2: teacher said, no, you're not doing it. And so it's
- 36:55Speaker 2: been like this thing, like let Heather sing that Ave Maria.
- 36:59Speaker 2: And I just.
- 37:01Speaker 4: So her wedding game about you fulfilling your childhood dream.
- 37:03Speaker 2: So I don't know, I'm going to say, just as
- 37:06Speaker 2: for Danny after this, to remember being shirtless, shoeless, and
- 37:10Speaker 2: celebrating a lesbian wedding and being there with bells on. Now,
- 37:16Speaker 2: would you rather have someone be a bump on a
- 37:18Speaker 2: log and not be overly invested in your wedding day?
- 37:22Speaker 2: Or would you rather have them take off their clothes,
- 37:25Speaker 2: jump in the pool, make a toast when they weren't
- 37:29Speaker 2: set to make a toast? and sing and do the splits.
- 37:32Speaker 4: I'd rather than be a wet blanket and stay out
- 37:35Speaker 4: of my way. It's my day. You're not taking over.
- 37:38Speaker 2: I agree.
- 37:39Speaker 4: You change your mind again.
- 37:40Speaker 2: I know I do really love weddings. Okay. So I
- 37:50Speaker 2: finally watched the end of Stassi.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 37:53Speaker 2: And I want to get your opinion of what do
- 37:55Speaker 2: you think of the show and where it's going?
- 37:57Speaker 4: How's the Stassi? I think it's without a doubt the
- 38:00Speaker 4: worst reality show I've ever seen. I hate it so much.
- 38:04Speaker 4: I hate everything about it. I hate the fourth wall breaking.
- 38:07Speaker 4: It is so obnoxious. It's not done in a clever way.
- 38:10Speaker 4: It's just like every two seconds, it's like someone nudging
- 38:13Speaker 4: you in the rib. Like, get it? It's fake. It's
- 38:15Speaker 4: a reality show. It's very annoying. The cast is really,
- 38:19Speaker 4: really bad. It's not a good cast. I used to
- 38:23Speaker 4: love Stassi. I was a longtime Stassi fan. And I
- 38:26Speaker 4: used to think, like, I could be friends with Stassi. Like,
- 38:29Speaker 4: I could be in her friend group. Like, now I
- 38:32Speaker 4: wouldn't want to be friends with her. And she has
- 38:34Speaker 4: no friends, as you see on the show. Like, I
- 38:37Speaker 4: dislike her. I dislike the show. It's horrible.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Well, remember it was supposed to be Stassi Says? Yes.
- 38:45Speaker 2: And it was supposed to be a comedic docuseries. So
- 38:47Speaker 2: it was always going to be, like, a fake reality
- 38:52Speaker 2: show type of thing, like an office show. Or like
- 38:55Speaker 2: when we did After Lately, it was all these stories.
- 38:57Speaker 2: We played ourselves, but we played it like funny, exaggerated
- 39:01Speaker 2: versions of ourselves. But we played ourselves working at Chelsea Lately.
- 39:04Speaker 2: And throughout the year, there'd be funny things that would happen.
- 39:07Speaker 2: And we'd come back from a weekend and tell a story.
- 39:10Speaker 2: And right away, like one of the writers would put
- 39:13Speaker 2: that in a file of like, that would be a
- 39:15Speaker 2: really good storyline when we start doing After Lately again.
- 39:18Speaker 2: And sometimes a story that would happen to me, they
- 39:21Speaker 2: would give to like, oh, two guys go to a
- 39:24Speaker 2: bar and this happens. Like, you know, the other characters
- 39:26Speaker 2: or whatever because it just makes more, so we would
- 39:29Speaker 2: take these things and then some of them things would
- 39:31Speaker 2: be made up but a lot of most of it
- 39:32Speaker 2: was like what had happened so I kind of thought
- 39:35Speaker 2: that's what she was going to do and like hey
- 39:38Speaker 2: this is what's happened in my life in the last
- 39:39Speaker 2: three years with my mommy friends and this and that
- 39:42Speaker 2: so we'll just sort of act it out but we're
- 39:44Speaker 2: playing ourselves I think that's what they attempted to do
- 39:47Speaker 2: and that didn't really work And then they were like,
- 39:51Speaker 2: kind of in the edit, maybe reshot or redid the
- 39:55Speaker 2: confessionals to then make it this more dramatic thing, leading
- 39:59Speaker 2: up to this dramatic thing. Like, is their marriage going
- 40:01Speaker 2: to last?
- 40:02Speaker 4: Well, okay. So many thoughts. Yes, they probably tried a
- 40:06Speaker 4: bunch of different things. I had heard they actually just
- 40:08Speaker 4: filmed it as like a normal reality show and then
- 40:10Speaker 4: it was stuck in production because they didn't have anything juicy.
- 40:13Speaker 4: And then they had to add that meta concept of like, oh,
- 40:15Speaker 4: we're actually going to make it a show about making
- 40:17Speaker 4: a show. That's why every confessional is like that. But
- 40:20Speaker 4: in scene, they're not talking about it as much, but
- 40:23Speaker 4: it's very much in the confessionals. Also, your marriage breaking
- 40:27Speaker 4: down to Bo is not a strong enough story to
- 40:30Speaker 4: carry an entire season. Like that is like, if you
- 40:34Speaker 4: were on the Valley, that would be your storyline as
- 40:37Speaker 4: part of an ensemble cast with a bunch of other
- 40:39Speaker 4: people having stuff going on. You know, like she's not,
- 40:43Speaker 4: she's just, it's not juicy enough to carry a whole season.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Well, you know what I also think is interesting is like,
- 40:48Speaker 2: We haven't really seen her with Beau for like, you know,
- 40:51Speaker 2: it's not like it was she and Beau for like
- 40:53Speaker 2: eight years, but it wasn't like we have a reference.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Yeah. Like why do we care?
- 40:57Speaker 2: You know, there are Kyle and Mauricio.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 2: So when you see that, you're like, oh my God,
- 41:02Speaker 2: you know, and you can look back and you can
- 41:03Speaker 2: see what happened and where did, where did the crack
- 41:06Speaker 2: start or whatever. And then when someone said, oh, I've
- 41:09Speaker 2: listened to their patron for years, they're totally fine. Like
- 41:11Speaker 2: they have a great relationship. Then I was like, are
- 41:14Speaker 2: we all being gaslit?
- 41:15Speaker 4: Like, was this all planned?
- 41:16Speaker 2: Like, listen, one argument that we have is that you're
- 41:19Speaker 2: the stay at home dad. And I like go, I mean,
- 41:22Speaker 2: when she went, I saw an interview when she's like,
- 41:24Speaker 2: I get my lashes done. I do the EMS workout things.
- 41:27Speaker 2: I do this. I do that.
- 41:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:29Speaker 2: No wonder you're like busy. Yeah. And basically she's just like, yeah,
- 41:32Speaker 2: I'm not super into the nighttime routines with the kids.
- 41:37Speaker 2: crying and everything. And Bo's better at that. And okay.
- 41:41Speaker 4: Well, at the end of the show, she has this
- 41:43Speaker 4: huge meltdown when all of her friends have a friend-tvention
- 41:47Speaker 4: about her marriage.
- 41:48Speaker 2: But it's also, that's so weird.
- 41:50Speaker 4: Yeah, it is.
- 41:51Speaker 2: I can't imagine all my friends being like, you and
- 41:54Speaker 2: Peter need to get, like, they would go and talk
- 41:57Speaker 2: about it behind my back. Like, nobody would go say
- 41:59Speaker 2: it to you at your birthday and then say, like,
- 42:02Speaker 2: it's your fault. And I did feel for her at
- 42:05Speaker 2: that moment when she's just like, the money, motherfucker. Like
- 42:09Speaker 2: I make all the money. What more do you want?
- 42:11Speaker 2: And I feel ganged up upon it. And you're doing
- 42:13Speaker 2: this as part of the show to make me look
- 42:15Speaker 2: like an evil witch. Guess what? You know, off with
- 42:18Speaker 2: your head. None of you are coming back on this show.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Kiss the, you know, the $ 3, 000 you made per episode. Goodbye.
- 42:25Speaker 2: Cause it's not happening. Second season. I'm going to find
- 42:27Speaker 2: some other people. Also, we can't repeat this next year.
- 42:30Speaker 2: So I just think I think they were all like,
- 42:32Speaker 2: I don't know what to do because the producer's telling
- 42:34Speaker 2: me that I have to tell you that you're an
- 42:35Speaker 2: awful person. But I know if I tell you that
- 42:37Speaker 2: you're an awful person, you're going to not want me
- 42:40Speaker 2: on the show next year.
- 42:41Speaker 4: But I don't even know if that was real because
- 42:43Speaker 4: she spent so much of the show being like, well,
- 42:46Speaker 4: I'm going to throw a dinner party. And you know
- 42:47Speaker 4: what happens at a dinner party on a show like this?
- 42:50Speaker 4: There's a fight. So there's going to be drama. So
- 42:52Speaker 4: she does the whole season like that. So then at
- 42:53Speaker 4: the end, I'm like, oh, are you just like, are
- 42:55Speaker 4: you having this huge overreaction to make us think that
- 42:58Speaker 4: it's real? But this is actually all fake as well.
- 43:01Speaker 4: And it's not that juicy. By the way, you mentioned
- 43:03Speaker 4: Kyle and Mauricio. It's like, yes, one, we're invested in
- 43:06Speaker 4: them because we watched them for 15 years or whatever.
- 43:09Speaker 4: And then she still, her marriage breakdown was part of
- 43:13Speaker 4: an ensemble cast that everyone else had their own storylines going.
- 43:15Speaker 4: It wasn't like an entire show about Kyle and Mauricio
- 43:18Speaker 4: like this is. So it's just like very, it's poorly made.
- 43:22Speaker 4: They clearly got Katie Maloney in because they were like,
- 43:25Speaker 4: we don't have anything. Like this cast is not good.
- 43:28Speaker 4: I mean, that sister, Bo's Italian sister, who at Hulu
- 43:33Speaker 4: greenlit being like, yeah, she can be part of a
- 43:35Speaker 4: main character. Like, what?
- 43:38Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 43:39Speaker 4: And then the finale, there's another moment where that Taylor Strecker,
- 43:42Speaker 4: which is her best friend and podcast host, names her
- 43:46Speaker 4: baby after Bo. It's like, I'm naming my baby.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Well, she, okay. She says she's having a baby. Her
- 43:53Speaker 2: wife is having a baby. They're lesbian. Yes. And she said,
- 43:55Speaker 2: I didn't, I don't feel connected because I'm not carrying
- 43:58Speaker 2: the baby and the baby's not biologically mine. So in
- 44:02Speaker 2: choosing the name, my mom's maiden name or something was
- 44:06Speaker 2: like Bodine or something.
- 44:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:08Speaker 2: And so the baby's going to be Bodine or something
- 44:11Speaker 2: like that. But the nickname is going to be Bo.
- 44:14Speaker 2: And she does look over and say to him. And
- 44:17Speaker 2: so then he's like, oh, my God. And then later
- 44:19Speaker 2: on she goes, I hope he doesn't think that we
- 44:21Speaker 2: named the child after him. We didn't. We just really
- 44:23Speaker 2: like the name Bodine. And it's just coincidentally Bo would
- 44:27Speaker 2: be a cuter nickname. And it happens to also be
- 44:30Speaker 2: Stassi's husband's name.
- 44:31Speaker 4: This made no sense because then if you're not naming
- 44:34Speaker 4: it after him, then why are we having, why are
- 44:35Speaker 4: you announcing it in front of him? And then everyone's
- 44:38Speaker 4: crying and you're like, and then you're going in your
- 44:40Speaker 4: confessional saying, actually, I didn't name it after him. It's
- 44:43Speaker 4: the worst show. I hate it so much.
- 44:44Speaker 2: I always remember when Brody Jenner was engaged to a
- 44:49Speaker 2: woman named Caitlyn.
- 44:50Speaker 5: Yes.
- 44:51Speaker 2: And then, you know, Caitlyn became Caitlyn Jenner. And I
- 44:57Speaker 2: remember I said to Caitlyn, did you think about that?
- 45:01Speaker 4: Wait, you said that to Caitlyn Jenner?
- 45:03Speaker 2: I said it to Caitlyn Jenner. And she said, no.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Never thought of it. And then they ended up, I
- 45:12Speaker 2: think they got married and divorced or it wasn't a
- 45:14Speaker 2: real marriage. But now he's with somebody else and they're
- 45:16Speaker 2: expecting their second child and they're married and her name
- 45:18Speaker 2: is not Caitlyn. But I do think sometimes when you're
- 45:21Speaker 2: like choosing names and things like that, you almost change.
- 45:25Speaker 2: want to avoid a name that's too close to someone
- 45:27Speaker 2: in your life because you're like, I don't want you
- 45:28Speaker 2: to think I copied your kid's name or like, like
- 45:32Speaker 2: I wouldn't, maybe I don't get along with my brother.
- 45:34Speaker 2: So like, I don't want my brother's name as something
- 45:36Speaker 2: like it was, it was a little bit, but it's
- 45:40Speaker 2: kind of an, again, we're talking about it. So it's like,
- 45:42Speaker 2: there are certain things I, I.
- 45:44Speaker 4: Think we're talking about it in a bad way. I
- 45:46Speaker 4: don't think we're talking about it in.
- 45:47Speaker 2: A positive way. I was just so curious. And I
- 45:49Speaker 2: don't know if I was curious because I personally know
- 45:52Speaker 2: some of these people and I'm curious how these shows
- 45:56Speaker 2: get greenlit and what they do with them and how
- 45:58Speaker 2: they do it in a different way. So to me,
- 46:01Speaker 2: it was very, it kept my curiosity. It did get incredible,
- 46:05Speaker 2: you know, viewership.
- 46:07Speaker 4: I don't know if it did.
- 46:08Speaker 2: I thought it was like number one on Hulu or something.
- 46:10Speaker 4: I think it was number one for like a day
- 46:11Speaker 4: and then it slipped.
- 46:12Speaker 2: It's hard to know with the streaming, but I think
- 46:15Speaker 2: it'll be coming back.
- 46:19Speaker 4: Yeah, well, look, they seem to greenlight anything at Hulu.
- 46:21Speaker 4: It's like no one watches Vanderpump Villa. And you know
- 46:25Speaker 4: what's so funny about Hulu? Have you noticed how now
- 46:27Speaker 4: every single Hulu show has to have the Mormon wives
- 46:30Speaker 4: in it? Because it's like they use the Mormon wives'
- 46:34Speaker 4: success to put every show over. They're on everything. They
- 46:38Speaker 4: were even on the premiere, like going after Sheena. And
- 46:41Speaker 4: my prediction is that Sheena will be on season two
- 46:44Speaker 4: of House of Stassi.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Maybe, or she'll have her own version of it.
- 46:47Speaker 4: I don't think she'll get her own. I think Hulu
- 46:51Speaker 4: will be like, Stassi, this show is not very good.
- 46:54Speaker 4: You need to bring in some more Vanderpump people to
- 46:56Speaker 4: mix it up with Katie.
- 46:58Speaker 2: Was Stassi and Sheena ever close, really close?
- 47:00Speaker 4: No, but they're like OG rivals. That's why they'll want
- 47:03Speaker 4: to bring her back because they hate each other.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but then that feels inauthentic that you'd ever be
- 47:08Speaker 2: hanging out.
- 47:09Speaker 4: Yeah, but then Stassi, because it's a metaphorth wall, Stassi's
- 47:12Speaker 4: going to be like, I know that we hate each other, but, like, look,
- 47:15Speaker 4: Disney told me that I had to bring on Sheena
- 47:17Speaker 4: and we're making a show. Wink, wink. So here she is. Like,
- 47:21Speaker 4: that's literally what the show is. That's what she'll do.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 47:24Speaker 1: It's horrible.
- 47:25Speaker 4: Sorry, Stassi.
- 47:27Speaker 5: L.A.
- 47:27Speaker 2: News. Okay. The Lakers was bought for $ 12 billion by
- 47:31Speaker 2: Bob Eichner, who is the president of Disney. Okay. Stassi's boss. Oh.
- 47:37Speaker 2: And Josh Kushner.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Like the Kushners?
- 47:40Speaker 2: Yes.
- 47:41Speaker 4: I mean, they freaking own everything now.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Don't they? And so it's 12 billion and that's it.
- 47:47Speaker 2: You said, I don't know what that means. I'm like,
- 47:48Speaker 2: I don't really know either.
- 47:49Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 47:50Speaker 2: I don't know if it'll make the tickets more expensive.
- 47:52Speaker 2: I mean, I know Jeannie Buss and I think it's
- 47:56Speaker 2: good for her family and that's it.
- 47:59Speaker 6: All right.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Let's talk about Shards. This is, The show that is
- 48:06Speaker 2: based off the book of Brett Easton Ellis, who wrote
- 48:10Speaker 2: Lesson Zero, that movie, that was really when I read
- 48:13Speaker 2: that book when I was in high school, that is
- 48:15Speaker 2: what made me want to go to USC. Oh, I
- 48:16Speaker 2: love that. Because it was about the private schools in L.A.
- 48:21Speaker 2: and how he went to, you know, how his friends
- 48:24Speaker 2: went to USC and he went to this college on
- 48:26Speaker 2: the East Coast and the time... during those two, three
- 48:30Speaker 2: weeks that you come home for Christmas and you feel
- 48:32Speaker 2: like you're so much older and so much cooler because
- 48:34Speaker 2: you're not living at home anymore. And so that was
- 48:38Speaker 2: that book. And then this is basically the character, the
- 48:41Speaker 2: main character is Brett Easton Ellison. It's while he is
- 48:45Speaker 2: a senior at, I think it's Harvard Westlake.
- 48:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Or a version of that type of school in LA.
- 48:52Speaker 2: And what's amazing is that Kaya Gerber, who is Cindy
- 48:58Speaker 2: Crawford's daughter, she is on it and she and her
- 49:02Speaker 2: mom look so much alike. It's insane.
- 49:05Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 49:06Speaker 2: It's literally insane. Like I, I had a friend whose
- 49:09Speaker 2: daughter looked just like her and she just said one
- 49:12Speaker 2: day she just looked at her daughter and said, excuse me,
- 49:15Speaker 2: can I have my body back now? What the fuck
- 49:17Speaker 2: is this? How did you suddenly walk out of the
- 49:20Speaker 2: bedroom and look like me? Like 30 years ago, I'd
- 49:23Speaker 2: like that. I would like that ass. That was mine.
- 49:25Speaker 2: I would like that stomach. I mean, Cindy's still gorgeous,
- 49:28Speaker 2: but like, it must be like, I'm like, when your
- 49:31Speaker 2: daughter looks that much like you, do you not see it?
- 49:34Speaker 4: Cindy sees it. I read an interview with her years
- 49:36Speaker 4: ago and she basically said that she dealt with jealousy.
- 49:39Speaker 4: She said it was hard seeing as she ages and
- 49:42Speaker 4: obviously her whole career is around her looks. She's known
- 49:44Speaker 4: as like in the nineties, it was her and Claudia
- 49:47Speaker 4: Schiffer were like the two top. And yeah, Then she's
- 49:51Speaker 4: seeing her daughter now on the cover of Vogue and
- 49:54Speaker 4: everything and looks exactly like her, but taller and skinnier.
- 49:58Speaker 2: And... I mean, quite honestly, more beautiful than she was
- 50:01Speaker 2: in her heyday. But I love Cindy Crawford's looks because
- 50:04Speaker 2: she had brown hair and brown eyes. And at the time,
- 50:07Speaker 2: that was like seen as like ethnic. Like literally everybody
- 50:10Speaker 2: was blonde and blue eyed, Christy Brinkley and stuff. So
- 50:13Speaker 2: she was like the first one that like my brunette
- 50:15Speaker 2: friend and I wanted to act like we like looked
- 50:18Speaker 2: like her and did our hair and, you know, loved
- 50:20Speaker 2: that look.
- 50:21Speaker 4: I think the difference in their looks is that I
- 50:23Speaker 4: think Kaya is skinnier and has like a more high fashion.
- 50:27Speaker 4: And I think that Cindy had a bit more of
- 50:29Speaker 4: a glamorous, like almost like a bit of a brunette
- 50:32Speaker 4: Anna Nicole look.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:33Speaker 4: Like, when she did the Diet Coke ads and everything.
- 50:35Speaker 4: And didn't she do, like, a few, like, sexy movies
- 50:38Speaker 4: in the 90s? Oh, Pepsi, yeah.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Yeah, she did. They tried to make her a movie star,
- 50:41Speaker 2: and it was really, really bad. Okay. She tried once,
- 50:43Speaker 2: and then she was like, I'm out.
- 50:44Speaker 4: Okay.
- 50:45Speaker 2: Then she had this thing where she's like, I met
- 50:48Speaker 2: a French skin doctor that realized that the inside of
- 50:52Speaker 2: a melon is what can make your skin last forever.
- 50:55Speaker 2: So then she made a shit ton of money on this, like,
- 50:57Speaker 2: melon serum.
- 50:59Speaker 4: Oh, okay. Yeah.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:00Speaker 6: And.
- 51:01Speaker 2: anyway the so she is an epo baby and then
- 51:06Speaker 2: she's dating in the show her the character that's plays
- 51:11Speaker 2: her boyfriend is isn't it yes which one here is
- 51:15Speaker 2: robert is uh richard isn't this richard no.
- 51:18Speaker 4: No move over it's him that's yes that's that's richard's
- 51:23Speaker 4: son yes homer.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Gear oh i thought it was this one because i
- 51:26Speaker 2: thought he looked kind of like so um So anyway, yeah,
- 51:31Speaker 2: so they're both on the show together. And she did say,
- 51:36Speaker 2: I've only ever been a Nepo baby and I've only
- 51:38Speaker 2: ever benefited in my career from it. But I also
- 51:42Speaker 2: find myself doing it for doing it to other Nepo
- 51:45Speaker 2: babies thinking like, OK, show me why you deserve this job.
- 51:49Speaker 2: So I really like that honesty. And I saw an
- 51:53Speaker 2: interview with the Forrester girls, not Forrester, Foster, Foster. The
- 51:57Speaker 2: Foster girls.
- 51:58Speaker 4: Okay.
- 51:59Speaker 2: The daughters of David Foster.
- 52:01Speaker 4: Oh, yes, yes, yes.
- 52:01Speaker 2: Who also have the Nobody Wants This Show and the
- 52:05Speaker 2: big clothing empire. And they became famous for writing funny
- 52:11Speaker 2: tweets and people are like, who are these funny girls?
- 52:13Speaker 2: And they've really taken their opportunities and their talent and
- 52:16Speaker 2: done the most with it. And one of the girls
- 52:19Speaker 2: was saying, one was saying, well, you just don't get
- 52:23Speaker 2: Emmy nominations because of who our parents are. And the
- 52:26Speaker 2: other one said, yes, but we're here because we were
- 52:31Speaker 2: in rooms with CEOs, writers, actors. We were in rooms
- 52:35Speaker 2: that the average person that comes to L.A. that's bartending
- 52:38Speaker 2: right now, trying to sell their script, doesn't have the
- 52:41Speaker 2: opportunity for the introduction, the advice, all of it. Which,
- 52:47Speaker 2: you know, I just think about the same thing with
- 52:49Speaker 2: Kate Hudson. She's super talented. But we don't know that,
- 52:53Speaker 2: you know, Goldie Hawn had all of her filmmaking friends
- 52:57Speaker 2: over and then Kate came in they're like Kate how
- 53:00Speaker 2: look at you how you've grown up and she can
- 53:02Speaker 2: act and sing too Kate we have wait I'm doing
- 53:06Speaker 2: a movie right now we need someone this could be
- 53:11Speaker 2: great yeah let me see and then they have then
- 53:13Speaker 2: she has access to all the best acting teachers and
- 53:16Speaker 2: everything and she gets the job and she executes it
- 53:19Speaker 2: well like that is what Using your nepotism to the
- 53:24Speaker 2: best degree, and there's no secret.
- 53:26Speaker 4: She's fun to watch. Yeah, she's good in the show.
- 53:28Speaker 4: I mean, I love the show. I think it's really
- 53:30Speaker 4: well done. And she's talented. And I've noticed that there's
- 53:34Speaker 4: a change in the PR strategy with the Nepo Babies,
- 53:38Speaker 4: because also Gracie Abrams, she is- The singer, yeah.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Yes.
- 53:42Speaker 4: She came out- JJ Abrams. Yes. And she was like,
- 53:44Speaker 4: I'm a Nepo Baby. I get it. I got these opportunities.
- 53:47Speaker 4: And If you look at some of the older Nepo
- 53:49Speaker 4: babies like Gwyneth Paltrow and like Jamie Lee Curtis, they're
- 53:53Speaker 4: very defensive about it. They're very much like, no, I
- 53:56Speaker 4: worked so hard. Like this is ridiculous. And now I
- 53:59Speaker 4: think that because we know that's so out of touch,
- 54:01Speaker 4: like Hollywood is who you know. It's your connections. That's
- 54:04Speaker 4: like 80 percent of the battle. And I think now
- 54:07Speaker 4: all of the young ones are being told by their
- 54:09Speaker 4: publicists like you cannot look like some brat that's being defensive.
- 54:13Speaker 4: about being an Epo baby. Like you have to own
- 54:15Speaker 4: it and you have to say like, yes, like I'm
- 54:16Speaker 4: here because of my opportunity, you know, my connections and family.
- 54:20Speaker 2: I totally agree. And I've, I mean, I remember when,
- 54:23Speaker 2: you know, I worked with Tracy Ellis Ross, like she's
- 54:26Speaker 2: super talented. She's as a great look, but I remember
- 54:30Speaker 2: like how she told me she just did all these
- 54:33Speaker 2: characters on a, she had a, she had a camera
- 54:35Speaker 2: in her kitchen. She did all these characters and she
- 54:38Speaker 2: made it a tape. And she gave it to her agents,
- 54:40Speaker 2: which she got through her mom.
- 54:42Speaker 7: Yes.
- 54:42Speaker 2: And said, like, I want to do comedy and characters now.
- 54:45Speaker 2: And they're like, oh, there's a sketch show going on
- 54:47Speaker 2: right over here that you can do.
- 54:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:49Speaker 2: And that same sketch show, I couldn't even get an
- 54:52Speaker 2: audition for. The only reason I got that is because
- 54:55Speaker 2: the white girl they hired for it. sucked and all
- 54:57Speaker 2: the writers that worked with me on Kenan was like,
- 55:00Speaker 2: we know a white girl that'd be good for this.
- 55:01Speaker 2: That's how I got that audition. Like, because I'd written
- 55:04Speaker 2: on another show, but like, and I still feel I
- 55:07Speaker 2: had an advantage because I grew up here. So I
- 55:10Speaker 2: didn't have to figure out how to get to places.
- 55:13Speaker 2: I had a car. I had, you know, like there's
- 55:16Speaker 2: levels of all of it and you have to be
- 55:18Speaker 2: grateful for everything. And I don't think it's a flex
- 55:21Speaker 2: to say, Who cares how you got there? If you
- 55:24Speaker 2: have the opportunity, don't waste it. If you have the privilege,
- 55:27Speaker 2: use it.
- 55:28Speaker 4: You just have to be good. Be grateful for it.
- 55:30Speaker 4: You have to be good.
- 55:30Speaker 2: And then along the way, help some other people to shine,
- 55:33Speaker 2: you know?
- 55:33Speaker 4: But if you're a Nepo baby getting an opportunity and
- 55:35Speaker 4: you're not good, like I think Gracie Abrams sucks. She
- 55:39Speaker 4: seems like a nice girl, but I think the music's horrible.
- 55:42Speaker 4: And so it's kind of frustrating watching her. But then
- 55:45Speaker 4: when you see other Nepo babies that are thriving and
- 55:47Speaker 4: killing it, you're like, all right, good. And can you
- 55:50Speaker 4: imagine how much the producers must have been wetting their
- 55:52Speaker 4: pants to cast Cindy Crawford's daughter and Richard Gere's son
- 55:57Speaker 4: together and have them do scenes and everything? Because Richard
- 56:01Speaker 4: Gere and Cindy Crawford were married in the 90s.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Were they married or did they just date?
- 56:07Speaker 4: They were together. I think they were married.
- 56:09Speaker 2: I feel like briefly.
- 56:09Speaker 4: They were together for a while, yeah. Well, they were
- 56:11Speaker 4: definitely together. It was like a high-profile 90s hot romance.
- 56:16Speaker 2: Yes. And so you wanted to ask me about Now,
- 56:19Speaker 2: the year of this is he's a senior in 1981. Yes. Now,
- 56:23Speaker 2: I was not a senior in 1981. I would have
- 56:26Speaker 2: been 10.
- 56:27Speaker 4: Okay.
- 56:28Speaker 2: But I had older siblings who were in high school
- 56:31Speaker 2: at that time, and I did live in the Valley,
- 56:35Speaker 2: which is L.A. proper.
- 56:37Speaker 4: And you came of age throughout the 80s.
- 56:39Speaker 2: And I came of age in the 80s and all
- 56:40Speaker 2: of that. So definitely the convertible Mercedes, that was a
- 56:45Speaker 2: sign that your family made it. And oh, there's this
- 56:48Speaker 2: one scene. So they're at this fancy school and and Kyra,
- 56:51Speaker 2: Kyra Gerber's character is the student body president, which is believable.
- 56:57Speaker 2: And what was not believable is when she goes, oh,
- 57:00Speaker 2: I talked to the principal today and he wants me
- 57:02Speaker 2: to throw a party for this new student because he
- 57:05Speaker 2: was like in a mental institution before. And I mean,
- 57:10Speaker 2: I do know what I'm going to say. You might
- 57:12Speaker 2: have not caught it. So she's in what is supposed
- 57:14Speaker 2: to be the principal's office, which is a big fancy
- 57:17Speaker 2: office because it's a rich school. It's Harvard Wesleyan. And
- 57:20Speaker 2: he comes around. He's like, I want you. And she's
- 57:21Speaker 2: like this. There is no way in a billion years
- 57:28Speaker 2: that a kid who was student body president in 2026
- 57:33Speaker 2: or 86 or 76 would ever be sitting like this
- 57:37Speaker 2: with their leg up and their knee socks on. And
- 57:41Speaker 2: I'm like, who thought of that? I need to know.
- 57:43Speaker 2: These are the things that I need to ask. Was
- 57:46Speaker 2: that Ryan Murphy's idea? Was that her idea? How did
- 57:49Speaker 2: someone go, there's no way that she would do that?
- 57:52Speaker 2: Unless she's trying to fuck the principal. If that comes
- 57:54Speaker 2: later in the show that they're fucking, then I will say, okay,
- 57:57Speaker 2: that was okay.
- 57:58Speaker 4: So not even a rich kid that's out partying and
- 58:02Speaker 4: doing coke and everything would have the balls to sit
- 58:04Speaker 4: like that in the office?
- 58:05Speaker 2: No, never ever in 1981. No, not true.
- 58:09Speaker 4: Well, the show is extremely kind of like heightened and stylized.
- 58:13Speaker 4: I mean, it's very soapy and over the top, you know,
- 58:16Speaker 4: even like the mirrors in there. I think one of them,
- 58:19Speaker 4: the mom, she has like a big pink clamshell mirror
- 58:22Speaker 4: and it's like the old like Shalimar bottles and everything.
- 58:25Speaker 4: Like it's so old school.
- 58:26Speaker 2: I love all of that kind of stuff is sort
- 58:28Speaker 2: of fun, like with it. And it's like, and it's
- 58:31Speaker 2: so interesting because like I'll follow like some accounts that
- 58:35Speaker 2: or like there's an estate sale and it'll be like,
- 58:40Speaker 2: like a woman that's now probably, you know, 78 or eight.
- 58:44Speaker 2: That was like that mom in the eighties that had
- 58:47Speaker 2: all the, that was the chicest woman, you know, around
- 58:50Speaker 2: like that was friends with Kris Jenner, you know, like
- 58:52Speaker 2: back in the day. And like, this is what their house,
- 58:56Speaker 2: you know, this is a, they still have all these
- 58:58Speaker 2: items and like now everybody wants these items and they
- 59:00Speaker 2: want their house to look, you know.
- 59:03Speaker 4: From that era.
- 59:04Speaker 2: So I think that's all, I think that's all really fun.
- 59:07Speaker 4: The show looks beautiful and it's, and it's filmed in LA.
- 59:11Speaker 4: You know, it's crazy. They almost didn't film it in
- 59:13Speaker 4: LA and Ryan Murphy had to like put his foot
- 59:15Speaker 4: down and be like, the whole show was about that.
- 59:17Speaker 4: But it's nice to see LA in a positive light.
- 59:20Speaker 4: Cause I just feel like there's so much now you
- 59:23Speaker 4: turn on the news and they're like, there's crackheads everywhere.
- 59:25Speaker 4: And it's, you know, it's like Mad Max and, It's
- 59:28Speaker 4: cool to see something that shows L.A. very glamorous and fun.
- 59:32Speaker 2: So one of the things that really did affect L.A.
- 59:37Speaker 2: a lot that has to do with this, that this
- 59:40Speaker 2: will be knowledge that most people don't have, is they
- 59:44Speaker 2: did this thing from 1978 to like it bled into
- 59:48Speaker 2: the early 80s where they had a thing called a busing.
- 59:52Speaker 2: And there was some like there was a lawsuit within
- 59:56Speaker 2: the city saying And they said, okay, we're going to
- 59:59Speaker 2: take kids. Like your high school could be like down
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: the street from you. And they're like, you're going to
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: get on a bus and you're going to go to
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: South Central and you're going to go to school there.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: And we're going to take kids from South Central and
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: we're going to bring them to Woodland Hills.
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: And there's nothing you can do about it.
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: That's it. To like mix up the different socioeconomic groups. Okay.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: But you're putting people on a bus for two hours
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: when you're paying for taxes for your school down the street.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: And it, set the private school world in the San
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: Fernando Valley on fire. I mean, these schools that were
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: suffering to get people were like 500 people trying to
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: get 90 spots. That is what broke up LA public
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: schools and made it such an economy of where everyone goes,
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: you gotta go to private, you gotta go private. Because
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: after that, even when it stopped, they never gained those
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: people that left. They'd already gone to the Catholic schools
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: or the private schools and then their younger siblings. And
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: then they never sent their kids to public school. And
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: that is something that is very interesting. So at that time,
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: it was like, That's when it started. So it's like
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: they were the only like those kids were the ones
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: going to private school. But a lot of kids would be,
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: you know, it wasn't a bad thing to be at
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: the public school. Yeah. And then it was like, oh,
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: you peasant, like you better be in. And so I
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: thought that was kind of interesting and kind of seeing
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: like his perspective of the rich and how they talk
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: about different schools and things like that. That's what like
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: really interested me.
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: Do you feel like, do you feel like growing up
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: in LA in the eighties was like the best time
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: to grow up? Cause I feel like everyone, as they
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: get older, they always think that whatever their coming of
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: age time was, was like the best, you know? But like,
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: do you look back? Do you think that was the
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: best era? Do you compare it to your kids now?
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: No uh i don't think it was the best i
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: think it was fucking scary okay because there was hitchhiking
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: so people would hitchhike and get killed oh yeah so
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: i do like that it's like he kind of took
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: all that crime and created a.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Story manson murder stuff in there and everything.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: People were kidnapped people were killed you you had a
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: harder time finding those people because there was no like
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: tracking their phones or megan's law or anything like that
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: and then there was um And people would say, oh,
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: they're just a runaway, so you wouldn't know. And, I mean,
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: I'm now, like, I'm thinking about this. And, yeah, I
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: think it was, like, and people didn't know, like, how dangerous,
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: you know, drugs could be. Like, the way they're, like, smoking, like,
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: doing coke and stuff all the time. Like, that seemed
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: to be, like, glamorous and fun.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: Kids don't do that now.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: No, people didn't ride bikes with helmets. Yeah. People, like, kids, like, die. Like,
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: I'm thinking, like, I knew, like, several families where, like,
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: a bad car accident would happen or something, and it
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: was like.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: But it's like Zoomers now, Gen Z, don't have sex,
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: don't do drugs, don't really, you know, party. I mean,
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: remember Brandy Glanville came out recently, and she's like, I
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: wish my kid would do some coke or something. It's
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: so boring. She's obviously joking, but, like, there is a thing,
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: and even Ryan Murphy, who's doing the Shards, he said
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: that he didn't make the show that sexual compared to
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: like a euphoria because Gen Z now are like, they
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: don't like to see sex on TV. They freak out.
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: They're like, why is there a sex scene in this?
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Well, like it's weird to see like a cut, like
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: how old they act. Yeah. But that was what they,
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: that's the way people acted. Like, like there were like
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: serious couples that were like in high school, like.
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: Where you're like, you're going to get married.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Like they're, yeah. They're like wearing shoulder pads and like,
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Like I remember like one time I went over to
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: this guy asked me out. He picked me up and
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: we went to this other person's house and the girl
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: had made me the whole meal. And then like when
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: I was like in college, like when I went to college,
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: this girl had her own apartment. Like we were in
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: the doors and she had her own apartment and she
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: had just like made a fabulous meal for like her
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: 26 year old boyfriend. I'm like, what is going on?
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Like you're 18. Like, I don't know. It was just, yeah.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Like people just acted like, They looked older. Like, haven't
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: you seen when people say, why does everyone look like
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: 35 when they're like, this is what high school looked like? Everyone, like,
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: looked old and dressed older and acted older. And bullying
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: was really acceptable. And some people would say, oh, maybe
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: that's why we are the way we are, whatever. And
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: why we're nicer to our kids. Because, like, it was
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: so awful. But, yeah. I mean, but also, like, yes,
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: there was no... there was no social media to like
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: haunt you forever.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: True, yeah.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: Just your own vision of waking up and going, oh God,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: Speaking of looking older, by the way, one last thing.
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: Kaya Gerber does not look like a high school senior
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: in this show. She looks like 28. How old is
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: she in real life? 24, I think, or 23.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Well, again, like it is kind of interesting when you
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: see someone that's like that, like even, you know, and
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: they don't, and they have wrinkles in their forehead.
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: Because- And she wears heavy makeup. She wears very heavy
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: makeup in it. I'm just looking up her exact age. Yeah,
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: she does not pull off being a high school student. Yeah. Whatever,
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: my internet's not working here. But, you know, I love
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: the show.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: Do you remember when she dated Pete Davidson? Did she?
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: Was she one of the many?
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: Yes, when she was, like, 18 and he was, like,
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: a total drug addict. And I remember, like, the parents
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: had to, like, go and, like, rescue her because he was, like, suicidal.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: And I'm just thinking, God, they were probably just, like,
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: please don't have him influence you and start getting tattoos
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: or get pregnant.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: Like, yeah.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: Where you're just like praying that your child does not
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: end up with someone like that.
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: I thought he was hot though. I liked him when
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: he was tattooed and on drugs. So I get it.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: Well, now he's a single dad. He's not with the
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: woman and he's getting the tattoos removed.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: And shame.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Is he particularly funny or talented?
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: I didn't, I don't know. I don't think that many.
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: I think I said to you once, I said, Heather,
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: I'm like, you and Meg Stolter are like the only
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: people I think are funny.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: You're obsessed with Honey Boo Boo's sister, Pumpkin, joining OnlyFans.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: And you literally kept saying, we have to talk about this.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: We have to talk about Pumpkin. I'm like, I like.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: I'm obsessed with the whole Honey Boo Boo. I still
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: watch the Mama June show. Like, cause you remember, I.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Never watched it. I always, I've honestly, I'm not into
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: like people like that.
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: You don't like the white trash.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: I don't.
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: I love them.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: I think it's, I like it.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: There's something for everybody. And I think she, you know,
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: had to be on TV all those years. She probably
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: wasn't in charge of her paycheck. If some weird guys
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: like her and will pay for her content and she
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: can stay at home.
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: Well, she's been on television now for like, I don't know, 10,
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: 15 years, and they don't have that much money. And
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: she said that she's making more money doing OnlyFans now
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: than she did from her entire reality TV career for
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: over a decade. She made six figures in two weeks.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: And just for people that don't know the backstory, she
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: was married to this guy, Josh. She's 26 now. They
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: have four kids together. And then she also became the
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: legal guardian of Honey Boo Boo. Because remember Mama June
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: was on drugs? Because Mama June got a crack problem.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: I mean, the fact that you're like talking about this
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: as if, I mean, this is, I just can't get
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: into it. I just cannot get into this. And you
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: like just kept pushing it. I'm like, we're putting it
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: towards the end of the show. Because then you're also like,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: you have to watch Double Lies.
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: And Suburban Lies. Did you watch it?
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: You know what? one of the reasons I stopped watching
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: TLC is I can't, I don't know where to watch
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: it on my streaming service.
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: Oh, so you didn't watch it?
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: And I feel like you're mad, like a teacher. So
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: I went on TikTok and I said, give me some
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: clips of it. So I saw clips of it. Again, not,
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: not a, I mean, they're so far from the attractiveness
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: of Mormon wives.
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Like when you're a Mormon wife and you've just eaten
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: apples and like, you know, like those girls are so,
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: like pretty to watch. And these women, no offense, they're fine.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: They're fine. They're older, but like, it's weird that they're
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: like doing the same, like, like.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: They have, they have. Okay. So this, this show, just
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: for people.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: That don't know, like a team over team, you, what
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: is it? It's the team version of Mormon. Yeah.
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: So it copies the title. This is double lives of
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: suburban wives. They have their own mom talk called MILF House.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: They yes they do only fans all right and um
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: they're all christian and so there's a lot of like
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: christian st louis yeah but it's in like a smaller.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Show with justin bateman about people who live in st
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: louis who are swingers.
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: Oh, one of them's a swinger, I think, because her
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: name's Erica Swings. Oh. That's her TikTok name? Yeah, that's her, like,
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: OnlyFans name.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: I mean, I started to, so when I was on
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: to it, I started to see some of them, and they're, like,
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: coming to LA, and, you know, they're so excited, and
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: they're so, you know, not your typical looking influencer type
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: of people. So there's something kind of fun that I'm, like,
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: they have like nothing to lose and they're so excited
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: just to be famous. I mean, they're like having sex
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: with their husband or whatever on while their kids are
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: at school. And they're like, yeah, we'll do a TLC
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: show on top of it. Like the whole thing is like,
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: and they're like, well, we're doing that so that people,
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: we can get rid of this stigma. And they know
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: that mommy likes to do it and certain things go
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: in her and they still come out and they need
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: to understand that. Like literally one of them said that.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: And I was just like, I just don't think I'm
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: going to be watching this show. I'm sorry, Jacques. I'm sorry.
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: Can I just give you a little brief on one
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: of them? One of them, her dad is a Christian
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: pastor at the church. And she's been doing OnlyFans, but
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: she wears a wig and glasses.
- 1:10:26Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: So people in the community don't recognize her.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: But she's got cameras following her.
- 1:10:30Speaker 6: Like, it's so stupid.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Like, how dumb do you think we are?
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: But the dad thinks she's just doing a show about
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: moms in Missouri.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Until this week.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: And then they pray over her. And then she's in
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: the confessional saying to the producers, she's just like, you know,
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: I don't know how I'm going to tell my dad.
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: He's going to be devastated that I'm on OnlyFans.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: I don't, yeah, we'll see. We'll see. I mean, we
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: know they make $ 2 off of this thing. Well, the
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: main girl. But they like to be, yeah.
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: The main girl that put it together, I looked her up.
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: She barely had any followers. Like, I don't think she's big.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of them don't have many followers.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: No, but she makes out like, well, I have this
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: double life of I'm on OnlyFans. And I'm like, I
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: think she just, because for people that don't know, to
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: make money on OnlyFans, you already have to have like
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: a big Instagram or a TikTok or whatever to like
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: get the subscribers over. Yeah. She didn't have any of that.
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: So I think she's literally just some random woman in
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: Missouri that opened OnlyFans and went to TLC.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: And said, hey, I want to do a show about
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: moms doing OnlyFans. And then they just copied Mormon Wives
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: and here we are. I think you picked the hottest couple,
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: by the way.
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: I did.
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: Yeah, you did.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: I couldn't put any of the other ones. I was like,
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: I got to pick like the cutest girl for the
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: screen because– Well.
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: They do it together. Oh, one other thing I want
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: to add. When you watch the show, it's all of
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: their husbands that get them to do OnlyFans originally. They're
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: all just normal moms, and the husbands are the ones
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: that are like, hey, you should post an ass pic.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: I came across this one girl on TikTok, and she goes,
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: so I live in St. Louis, and two of my
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: teachers are on OnlyFans, which are now they are on
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: the show.
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: But they're feuding.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: So these two girls were– two women were teachers, and
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: they decided– screw teaching, let's do this. And the husband
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: lost the job. And so it's like all the husbands
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: are like, what do we care?
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: But I always just.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Think there's the level of the only fans. Like there's,
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: you know, wearing sexy stuff and maybe showing like your nipples.
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: And then there's like.
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: Doing it all, doing it all.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: And so it's like, I'm always like, well, can we
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: just have like a level of it? Like I'm a
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: level two only person, but she's 11th floor. Like, I
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: need to know. Like, are you having sex with other
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: men in your bedroom when your kids are in school?
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: These two are. They're both on OnlyFans, so they do
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: it together. But, you know, and Pumpkin does it with
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: her boyfriend. Pumpkin's a level 10. She said on a
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: podcast that she said she wanted to send bodily fluids
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: in the mail, but OnlyFans doesn't let you, so she can't.
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: It's against the guidelines.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: I mean, sometimes people are like, are we currently in hell? Like, possibly.
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: Well, you know.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: So back in the 80s.
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: You didn't have OnlyFans.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: No, you had to go and be picked up by
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: a pimp who then made you do porn in a
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: hothouse in the valley with no air conditioning. Yes. So
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: in my day.
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: And then you'd end up dead at 25.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely. You'd end up dead. And you hated it.
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: You were not a happy hooker. You didn't want to
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: be there, and you had to do it anyway. And
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: then if you made it through that, you too then
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: had to become a realtor. Everyone has to become a realtor,
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: a podcaster, or OnlyFans, or all three. All three.
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: We got invited to an adult party in the Hollywood Hills,
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: and I'm trying to convince you to go too.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: It's a big, lavish party.
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: Mansion with with porn stars in the hills and we
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: invited brandy and julie and janet from the valley.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: Then you sent me this thing though and i have
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: to like fill out a registration form.
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: You're not registered yet i can't i just well they
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: have to approve you it's a it's a very exclusive
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: porn party.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: Uh i just remember back in the day i was
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: like in brentwood and this guy's like do you want
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: to go to the avian awards or whatever And I was, like, again, like,
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: very curious. And I'm like, yeah, I think I would.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: I think I'd like to see what this is about.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: And so I ended up going to some of those things.
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: So you've been before.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: Well, I just remember I wore, like, a normal outfit. Like,
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: I wasn't, like, a little black dress on, but it wasn't, like,
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: super skimpy. And I wasn't famous at all. I was, like,
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: just starting out, like, trying to, whatever, do stand-up or something.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: And I saw, like, the ugly fans, you know, with, like,
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: the big. you know, their big cameras all excited me.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: And I remember this one guy goes, can I take
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: a picture of you? And I was like, yeah. I
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: remember I was just like, oh my God, I can't
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: believe that they like think that I'm like one of
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: the porn stars. And I was like totally posing for
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: these photos. Like absolutely. Like I loved, I always wanted
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: to be famous no matter if it was porn or
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: when I was on studs.
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: Well, you know, you're complaining about having to fill out
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: an RSVP. Whereas when you used to go to the,
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: playboy mansion didn't you have to have recent Polaroids and
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: then if your friend wasn't hot enough she would get
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: turned away and now you're upset once I got.
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: Into the first one then they invited me to the
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: next one which was fine and the next one they
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: would take a photo to make sure that you're still
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: hot to be invited to the next one but if
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: I wanted to bring someone I had to mail in
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: a photo of them And yeah, so you're right. It was,
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: it was a, yeah, it was a, they just want
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: to make sure that you like still were like the
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: love or whatever. Yeah.
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: Well, I do think that it's a little more equitable now,
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: like the industry, you know, like I think there's all different,
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: I mean, pumpkins make you millions. So I think it's
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: great that.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: It's not just a certain type and then it's not just,
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: you know, one person make it like those porn stars
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: back in the day. Once they were like reality stars.
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: Once you get paid that once amount, that's it. Yeah.
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: We can make this video 8 billion times and people
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: can buy it and we're going to get the money
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: and you're not going to get a dollar. And then
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: some of those old porn stars started to then do
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: their own movies, start their own production company, all that.
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: Oh, that was the move, wasn't it?
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: And then, yeah, with OnlyFans, what's so good is that
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: it really is, you know, but then it's like, well,
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: is there an element of like your husband forcing you
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: to do it? Would if she had the choice of
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: her husband making porn, six figures or a few hundred
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: thousand a year at his job as a commercial real
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: estate broker and she didn't have to drop the kids
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: off from school and then be like, hey guys, don't
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: you think that she would have rather had that?
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: Totally.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: No one's saying they love the work.
- 1:17:14Speaker 4: But the economy is a mess.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: I know, I get it.
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: It's one of those things where you're like, look, I
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: would rather not be sitting on a cucumber on OnlyFans
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: for a bunch of weirdos from anywhere. But if this
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: is going to make me half a million dollars a
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: year versus whatever else, being a realtor and not knowing
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: if I'm going to get a sale.
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: It's just like those kind of things where it's like,
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: you know, as a mother, whatever, you know, how like
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: a mom will be like, You little shit. You know,
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: like I've done everything for you. I had to work
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: double shifts as a nurse and this and that. Like,
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: is there going to be a moment like you little shit?
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: You think I wanted to be on OnlyFans talking to
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: weird guys? You think I enjoyed the fact that I
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: made you write some of them back for me?
- 1:18:04Speaker 6: No.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: But your dad didn't have a job and I needed
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: to pay for soccer. What is it?
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: I mean, whatever you can do to get ahead.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: But I do feel like kids today are just like,
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: what's the big deal? Because it's like, whose mom isn't
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: on OnlyFans?
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: But it's also like, whose mom's not on, you're on Patreon, like,
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: we're all doing something. We've got our Facebook monetized, you know?
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: It's just like, we're all just selling ourselves.
- 1:18:33Speaker 7: To get ahead.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: I once told this guy, because he asked me what
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: I did, and you know, he's just like kind of,
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: he's just like a rich older guy, like, and I go,
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: you know when you hear about like OnlyFans people and everything,
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: and you're like, I I do that well, except it's
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: just me talking. So I'm like there.
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: Pretty much.
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: And then he was like, oh, wow.
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: Well, I'm impressed.
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: All you ever hear about is pumpkin making, you know,
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: this much money. And I'm like, yeah, but there's still
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: other people that do make money. In this thing that
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: don't have to.
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: Have sex on camera.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: Right. Or show a nip or whatever. But also if
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: you are like, who cares? You're such a delight. What's
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: going on? Where can people find more of you in
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: their life besides walking the streets and then walking up
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: to you and asking for a photo, which you will
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: always comply to?
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: Of course. Follow me on Instagram at unpopularjp. I have
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: a Patreon. I do like an hour, 90-minute podcast every week.
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: That's on Patreon. You can find it there. And thanks
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: for having me back.
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: Yes. Thank you. Bye. Oh, everybody. Oh, wait. Hold on.
