- 0:37Welcome to Gunslingers Tavern. I'm Audrey McHugh.
- 0:41I'm a bisexual open woman that served in the military brown
- 0:46water Navy. Shout out to my Airedales One
- 0:49and three. Veterans experience military
- 0:52sexual trauma. Here we use whiskey.
- 0:54For good and talk about all different events that affect
- 0:57veterans and how we can do better to make sure that no one
- 1:01has to release their burden of rape at these gates anymore and
- 1:05ensure that veterans lives are advocated and lived for.
- 1:13Hey guys, Audrey McHugh. Odd here at Gunsingers Tavern
- 1:19slinging some drinks, sling in some conversations.
- 1:22So I just got back from the March on Washington, the March
- 1:28for Israel, the March against anti-Semitism, and it was a very
- 1:34moving moment. I am Jewish and a lot of what
- 1:39has happened. Here is just the fact is that
- 1:43Israel has the right to defend itself against terrorists.
- 1:46And when 911 happened, nobody said don't go hurt the
- 1:52perpetrators or annihilate the perpetrators that brought down
- 1:56these towers and tried to take out Washington, that damaged our
- 2:01Pentagon and that brave souls on flight 93 gave and crashed
- 2:06themselves into Pennsylvania to ensure that the White House
- 2:09didn't get destroyed. Right.
- 2:11Nobody said don't go after bin Laden like not a single person.
- 2:17And So what Israel's been asked to do is to not go after people
- 2:22that hurt us, that killed 1200 Israelis, Arabs, people from
- 2:29different countries, and then brutally cut off, arms beheaded,
- 2:33children captured and took people hostage, not just from
- 2:38Israel but 33 other countries have been affected as well.
- 2:43And what is really disturbing is a lot of money comes in from the
- 2:47Geneva Convention and yet the, you know, the Red Cross really
- 2:53hasn't stepped in and negotiated the release of these hostages.
- 2:58These were people taken by terrorists, out of their homes,
- 3:03out of a concert, just doing everyday things like you and me
- 3:08do and need help, need assistance.
- 3:12I mean, some of these people were injured.
- 3:14There's this one report. His name is height, and he
- 3:18actually took grenades and they were being thrown into a bunker
- 3:22that they were able to find for a little bit of a shelter.
- 3:26And people piled into this and he was throwing them back and
- 3:30forth, right? And then eventually he took on
- 3:33some damage and he put a tourniquet right on his arm and
- 3:37continued to fight. This guy's a hero and he was
- 3:41captured by Hamas and obviously would have needed immediate
- 3:45medical attention for an injury like that.
- 3:49But yet the Red Cross is saying that they can't get in and do
- 3:52their job. This is literally the mission
- 3:55that they have is to be able to respond and negotiate for the
- 4:01safe return of the hostages that were wrongfully taken over a
- 4:07month ago. October 7th IS, you know, should
- 4:10be present in everybody's mind because Hamas is ISIS and if
- 4:15they can do it there, they can do it anywhere.
- 4:18And so as a Jew, it's very important for me to see my
- 4:23people and other people who are not Jewish show up at this rally
- 4:28and say never again means never again, that we're not going to
- 4:33allow anti-Semitism to continue to happen in this country and we
- 4:39are not giving in or negotiating terrorists at all.
- 4:43No country should be asked to give in to terrorists.
- 4:47That is a direct violation of our sovereignty as a nation.
- 4:52So I kind of just wanted to maybe show you guys because
- 4:56there was literally, it turns out 300,300 thousand of us that
- 5:04marched in solidarity. We did not spray paint areas
- 5:08like the previous people who support terrorists who marched
- 5:13here and actually defaced and broke things and vandalized, you
- 5:19know, GW and threatened and harmed and you know, actually
- 5:24California killed a Jew who's just walking by with a brick.
- 5:31That is a hate crime. So when people say, oh, it's,
- 5:34it's not that big of a deal. No, like, literally because of
- 5:39what Hamas did, somebody here got radicalized and murdered an
- 5:45American who happens to be Jewish right on the street while
- 5:51others looked by. And I want to remind you that
- 5:54this is not Nazi Germany, as many of MAGA Republicans would
- 6:00love for it to be. This is not Nazi Germany.
- 6:04That this veteran who drove boats that are connected with
- 6:09World War 2. Literally.
- 6:12This is not Nazi Germany. We have already defeated fascism
- 6:16in this country. And that's why it's so important
- 6:20that we protect the rights of trans right.
- 6:24We protect our our gay communities.
- 6:27We protect the rights of African Americans, of Hispanics, of
- 6:31Puerto Ricans, of First Nations, of Asians, of other minorities.
- 6:36And we protect the rights of Jews.
- 6:38Because history has shown us that these are the first people
- 6:42that they target and then it perpetrates this way and then
- 6:46they start murdering us. And so we now have a dead
- 6:50American in this country, or just simply being Jewish and
- 6:55walking by at the direct radicalization of Hamas
- 7:00terrorists. So please tell me that I don't
- 7:04have the right to defend myself, because I know I do.
- 7:07So here's some videos. Here is a beautiful child
- 7:18putting the flag up for Israel. Just to let you know this is
- 7:25kind of like what the view was. This is over 300,000 people
- 7:33saying that we are not going to allow fascism in our country.
- 7:39We're going to stand with Israel.
- 7:41We are going to protest. It was such a powerful, moving
- 7:47moment. To see people who were Holocaust
- 7:50survivors, people who walked in the civil rights movement,
- 7:55people who were not Jewish, that were of different faiths, that
- 7:59wanted to come support and say we see what Hamas has done is
- 8:05atrocious and we will stand with you shoulder to shoulder was
- 8:10very inspiring. There's a lot of music, a lot of
- 8:14prayer. We had different speakers.
- 8:18So it's just it was kind of wonderful.
- 8:19So here's one of the protesters, as you know of the horrendous
- 8:25slogan that Hamas tries to use. What a lot of people don't
- 8:29understand is that in their doctrine, it actually means
- 8:33under Sharia law, that every single person that is not of
- 8:38them. So if you're gay, they want you
- 8:41to die. If you are not in their faith
- 8:44and you're a Christian, they demand in their text that you
- 8:48die. They also found that the version
- 8:53of My Kumpf, which was written by a disgusting lowlife, lowlife
- 8:59scum of the Earth, Hitler, was actually translated and found in
- 9:07Hamas leadership and in in terrorist bunker cells.
- 9:12So this is the propaganda that they are using to murder and
- 9:15annihilate Jews. They do not want us to exist at
- 9:19all whatsoever. So this says from the river to
- 9:24the sea, Hamas will cease to be. And you also see that he has a
- 9:31family member fighting in the IDF, combating Hamas right now.
- 9:36So it was very amazing to speak with him and you know, to to to
- 9:45share that experience. So I'm going to play a song that
- 9:51was played from the March and this, this song is a prayer for
- 9:55the IDF to wish them well in their continued journey as we
- 10:01battle against the enemy. Because we will not, we will not
- 10:05bow. There will not be a ceasefire.
- 10:08Our people must be let go, must be let go.
- 10:12We demand the release of our people, let our people go, bring
- 10:17them home. So that was a common theme as
- 10:21people chanted in the streets. And here is just one of the
- 10:25videos. So that's a lot to process,
- 10:53right? But it was beautiful.
- 10:55It was moving. There were so many of us united
- 11:00to say Israel has the right to exist, Jews have the right to
- 11:04exist all over the world. And that we have no, we have no
- 11:09race, we are many colors and that we will stand united
- 11:14together. So it was, it was very, very
- 11:17much an honor. I'm very glad I was there.
- 11:21I got there early and passed out posters and I just want to say
- 11:28this to to my fellow Jews because some didn't want to take
- 11:32a poster that happened to represent.
- 11:35It was a little heart and it had every different color for LGBTQ
- 11:41plus, right. And so when Hamas attacked Jews
- 11:48on the 7th, they didn't ask whether you like Shabbat candles
- 11:52every night. They didn't ask if you had a
- 11:57brisk when you were born. They didn't ask what shul you go
- 12:02to, or how many times you go to shul, or whether you go to shul.
- 12:06Just on High Holidays, didn't ask any of these questions.
- 12:09They just killed anyone that was Jewish and they also killed
- 12:13Arabs as well, right? Because one couldn't say a
- 12:17prayer when he is of a different sect than what Hamas propagates
- 12:23and they murdered him. So also in Nazi Germany when
- 12:28they went through genealogy and wanted to exterminate us as a
- 12:32people, they killed Jews that were 0.1% Jewish.
- 12:38They didn't care, right. And So what I find very
- 12:41disturbing now is that you hear a man that has been convicted of
- 12:46fraud, who has been found guilty in the state of New York, who
- 12:51continues to run himself on propaganda and hate for the
- 12:56presidency of the United States, that literally gave tactical
- 13:02information for intelligence that helped lead to this attack
- 13:08on Israel. And he continues to say the
- 13:11words like exterminate that he will exterminate people.
- 13:18We use those words in Nazi Germany, under fascism and under
- 13:23Nazi times when Hitler was in power.
- 13:27You heard those words. Yet we have a man who wants to
- 13:30have the highest office in the United States, President of the
- 13:35United States, using words that he will exterminate, annihilate,
- 13:40and kill. That's what exterminate means.
- 13:45Kill people who have different beliefs than him.
- 13:51Like we are in a time where fascism is trying to destroy our
- 13:58democracy. And we know the people that are
- 14:01leading it have committed numerous crimes and have been
- 14:05found guilty of rape, have been found guilty of fraud.
- 14:10And we know of these other things of the insurrection.
- 14:14They will be found guilty and they are ricoed and part of a
- 14:17criminal organization. So I urge you when you hear
- 14:21somebody saying words like Exterminate to understand that
- 14:27they are trying to model the behavior of an enemy that we
- 14:32destroyed in World War 2. And we've had millions die of
- 14:39the Holocaust. We had service members die.
- 14:42There's a beautiful memorial down here for the World War 2
- 14:46veterans, right? But this is a battle we already
- 14:49fought. So instead of spending the time
- 14:52on going backwards and fighting these people, we need to move
- 14:57forward and be the actual country that is true and
- 15:02distinguishing of a democracy that lives and dies by the
- 15:08constitution. So that's all I'm going to talk
- 15:12about here for for our right to exist in Israel, but we're going
- 15:16to move on. So some of you guys might know
- 15:21that the PACT act right. This was an act for burn pits
- 15:25and other toxins that were created by the mismanagement of
- 15:30a war and LED to numerous service members dying from
- 15:36things that they should have never encountered because they
- 15:39had burn pits there. So the PACT Act was something
- 15:44that literally that administration under the Bush
- 15:47administration knew, they knew about and they should have said
- 15:52hey, we messed up. We know this is going to come
- 15:56out, we know people are going to be affected and we need to get
- 16:00ahead of it, right. We need to make sure that these
- 16:03toxins are listed and we get people which happen to be
- 16:09service members the best healthcare that we can and them
- 16:13quickly compensated. That's not what happened.
- 16:17Instead, it was attempted to be covered up and people had to
- 16:21come and beg on Capitol Hill for senators and representatives to
- 16:28do the right thing by veterans who went to war.
- 16:32And then because of a mismanagement by of
- 16:34administration, allowed for veterans to die unnecessarily in
- 16:40a combat zone and that they come back with cancers that eat away
- 16:45at them, eat away out of them. They made it back from war, and
- 16:49then they are suffering the sentence of death because of
- 16:54their mistakes and mismanagement of a war.
- 16:56It is a it's an outrage, an utter outrage, because war is
- 17:05disgusting, necessary, but disgusting.
- 17:09And they made their profits off of the war.
- 17:12And instead of actually taking care of veterans like they
- 17:16promised to, they tried to cover it up and then made us beg to be
- 17:22taken care of. It's just disgusting.
- 17:27It's despicable. And you start to wonder, well,
- 17:32what kind of people would vote against something like that?
- 17:37Who? Who would do that?
- 17:40There you go. So I just want to show you,
- 17:45because this has been ongoing, right?
- 17:47The PACT Act has been passed. People had a certain amount to
- 17:51sign up to amount of time to register for, which again,
- 17:56utterly disgusting. But I want you guys to see that
- 18:0240 Republicans voted against expanding access to health care
- 18:08to toxins exposed veterans, right?
- 18:11They voted against this. So who voted against them?
- 18:16Well, here's your names. John Brasco.
- 18:20Marsha Blackburn. Roy Blunt.
- 18:23So some of these John, like these people have said publicly
- 18:28that they support veterans. They don't.
- 18:32There's Ted Cruz. This is disgusting.
- 18:35Josh Hawley #16 right here, guys.
- 18:39See him. I just want to make sure you
- 18:41guys know that who he is, because a lot of these people on
- 18:45this list actually knew about plans for the Insurrection, the
- 18:51capital attack for January 6th and did nothing about it.
- 18:55But Josh Hawley is a disgusting individual.
- 18:58How so? He ran away from the fight.
- 19:02He ran away from the fight. He's done nothing good or
- 19:06beneficial for veterans. And I want you guys to know that
- 19:10there is a Marine that is running against him that will do
- 19:15an excellent job, an excellent job.
- 19:18His name is Lucas Quincy. I want you to look him up.
- 19:22And, you know, so there are definitely ways for us to go
- 19:26forward. But that man is just, he has no
- 19:29honor. Not whatsoever.
- 19:31So let's keep looking on here, right, 'cause you, you look at
- 19:35it and you're like, oh, getting Rand Paul say that he loves
- 19:38veterans. Mitch McConnell, Right.
- 19:40Kentucky, every time you see him, he's like, thank you for
- 19:46your service, right? I support veterans.
- 19:49I surely do. Right?
- 19:51But he voted against veterans. These people, some of them are
- 19:58responsible for us going to war, and they made profits off of the
- 20:03Iraq and Afghanistan war and then made us beg for benefits.
- 20:07And they do nothing, Mitt Romney.
- 20:10Hey, Tim, Scott just dropped out of the presidential race.
- 20:14He's on there. Tommy Tuberville, the piece of
- 20:18shit that allows veterans and service members to keep getting
- 20:23fucked over. You know, like they literally
- 20:28just had to vote in the Senate to be able to pass nominations
- 20:34for military service members to be promoted where we've had over
- 20:39500 military personnel waiting to be promoted and some of them
- 20:45are like it's nine months now I'm getting out and we're
- 20:47talking about this as becoming a national security issue because
- 20:50these officers are saying there's no stability here in the
- 20:54military because of Tommy Tomerville.
- 20:57I I got to get out. And when you lose that kind of
- 21:00high level leadership, the military and country suffers.
- 21:04And so for the first time ever, right, the first time ever along
- 21:09party lines, the Senate now has to change rules because of an
- 21:15individual like that who thinks that it's OK to let a Marine
- 21:21that is the calm down of the Marine Corps, running, running
- 21:26and taking care of two jobs, having 18 hour days because the
- 21:30military is dedicated to the Constitution, to security of the
- 21:34United States. We do whatever it takes, no
- 21:37matter what, how long, how many hours we have to work, it does
- 21:41not matter. We are the defenders of the
- 21:44Constitution. This man is working so hard, he
- 21:48suffers a heart attack. Then all of a sudden,
- 21:53Republicans want to come out and sit here and say after this has
- 21:57been ongoing for months and months and months and say this
- 22:01is raw, he almost killed our Commandant.
- 22:06It was kind of, it is totally unacceptable.
- 22:12People like Tommy Tumberville, who literally did nothing but
- 22:17coach football and then actually pay off, you know, lawsuits for
- 22:24committing fraud. So he's not a successful
- 22:27businessman. Sound familiar, right?
- 22:29Sounds kind of like Donald Trump Ish.
- 22:32You know, like that these guys are just frauds and lets you
- 22:36pretend like I'm great at business, but no, I'm actually
- 22:41selling lawsuits because I actually don't have a fucking
- 22:45clue how to run a business. But I do know how to be a
- 22:48criminal and a cheat. They definitely know how to do
- 22:51that, right? Compares him coaching football,
- 22:56which I love. Football.
- 22:57Go Eagles to running an operation of the whole United
- 23:05States Marine Corps. I mean, it's just it's lunacy at
- 23:12this point, right? The the fact that he would even
- 23:15compare himself the Smith's level of caliber and honor and
- 23:21dedication to service and work when that man at barely ever
- 23:24comes to work like treats his staffers like well, anyway, so
- 23:33it's just pathetic like these are the people that are elected
- 23:38officials that are not doing their jobs that when veterans
- 23:43have to come out here. And by the way guys, if you're
- 23:46100% service connected, congratulations, it was a battle
- 23:50for you to get there, right. They made it so hard.
- 23:53Why do you think that is? And it's in a poverty rate,
- 23:59right? Again, congressionally set.
- 24:02Keep going, right. Keep going with it.
- 24:05And not every veteran gets healthcare for dental.
- 24:10And they deserve it. Every single person deserves
- 24:14dental healthcare that was served in the military.
- 24:17Plain and simple. Hire more dentists, put the
- 24:20money there. Get it done.
- 24:23Right. Just get it done.
- 24:25But if you work for two years, which these guys barely work,
- 24:32imagine having a job and not showing up till like ten, 11:00
- 24:38at you know, or or whatever the fuck you feel like it.
- 24:41You come in the morning, stay here for a few hours, maybe
- 24:45answer some phone calls, maybe answer some emails, you know, BS
- 24:49with your friends, and then be like, you know, I'm kind of done
- 24:52with the day. I don't have to legislate.
- 24:54I don't actually have to introduce any bills.
- 24:57I don't have to Co sponsor a bill.
- 24:59I'm just gonna roll out. Then you draw that out and say
- 25:03you know what, this isn't really for me, these special interest
- 25:06guys that keep giving me money. I'm go leave, leave there and
- 25:10kind of go work with them, right?
- 25:12A lot of them do. They now have healthcare for the
- 25:15rest of their lives, for the rest of their lives, and they
- 25:20really didn't have to work. But yet, military service
- 25:24members, we can work 72 hours straight with no break, right?
- 25:29None whatsoever. If we need to.
- 25:31In a combat zone, it's completely different.
- 25:34They have to operate even harder, right, with hardly any
- 25:37breaks or sleep. And these people don't get
- 25:43dental care. And then, like me, I'm 100%
- 25:48total and perm. I've been waiting over six
- 25:50months for dental care. Six months.
- 25:54It's kind of crazy. It's kind of crazy to know that
- 25:58I showed up. I got raped for my country
- 26:02multiple times. I have a nerve disorder where
- 26:05there's no cure. But I did everything for my
- 26:09Navy, absolutely sacrificed for my country, and I have to battle
- 26:16to get good dental care. And there are people who are at
- 26:2290% who desperately need dental care and they have no access to
- 26:27it because these politicians decided that veterans were
- 26:35undeserving of dental care, but at the same time, they get to
- 26:40have the best level of health insurance for themselves and
- 26:45they don't even have to work. How does that make you feel?
- 26:52And then these are the people that are voting against us.
- 26:57They're voting against us. And yeah, Chuck Schumer, he
- 27:02voted against it in that bill. Do you know why?
- 27:05So that he could reintroduce it so that he can reintroduce it
- 27:11and the PACT Act is eventually passed, Right.
- 27:15But where is it that we hold them accountable?
- 27:18Or is it that we demand that our Healthcare is just as good as
- 27:23theirs because they have infiltrated into the VA?
- 27:29You know, they literally will reprimand the VA for doing
- 27:34something, bring them publicly to yell at them, but behind
- 27:39closed doors will tell veterans and people at the VA like you're
- 27:44not allowed to have this many Bash vouchers.
- 27:47You're not allowed to do that even though there's $100 million
- 27:50discretionary fund. So they're OK with killing
- 27:56veterans, They're OK with not giving us the best, the best
- 27:59healthcare. Do you know why?
- 28:01Because they have the pockets filled by special interest
- 28:05groups and they do not care about you.
- 28:09And there's got to be a point where we start demanding better
- 28:12of them. And if they cannot be better,
- 28:16they have to be removed. So again, if you're a veteran
- 28:22and you think that you could do a better job, and I bet you you
- 28:27showed up to PT, you know, maybe 0500, maybe 0600, took a shower,
- 28:34got in your uniform. Hey, depending on the working
- 28:38day, maybe, maybe you went home that night.
- 28:44Maybe you went home the next maybe been out to sea for for
- 28:47months. If you feel like you could do a
- 28:49better job and actually show up to work and get stuff done,
- 28:54think about running. Think about running for
- 28:56political office. And it doesn't have to be at
- 28:59federal level. It could be at your state level.
- 29:02You could be a legislator in in your State House.
- 29:05You could be a state senator. You could say, hey, that's a
- 29:08little too much for me, but the school board, right?
- 29:13That might be a great place for you to start.
- 29:16Think about local government, start getting involved.
- 29:19Because the more of us that evolve and heal and get involved
- 29:25in this will be better, truly better, because we have to start
- 29:30fighting for things that were already promised to us.
- 29:33This country made a solemn vow to us that they would actually
- 29:37provide and take care of for us, and they haven't.
- 29:41And the politicians here are making sure that they don't.
- 29:46And half the American public are completely misinformed.
- 29:50Or they have made sure that we are disenchanterized and made
- 29:56sure that we're against each other because then they get to
- 30:00keep doing this to us. So if this is how they're
- 30:03treating us, imagine how they are treating we the people,
- 30:09imagine how they are treating your fellow Americans.
- 30:13And that's why I urge you to start running for office,
- 30:16whether it's small, whether it's large.
- 30:19Because we together as veterans, we will make the difference.
- 30:25We truly will. So that's kind of all I have
- 30:28today. I just wanted to kind of give
- 30:31you a synopsis of of how wonderful, you know it was to
- 30:37see over 300,000 people protest in a peaceful manner, a peaceful
- 30:43manner. And so thanks for listening and
- 30:49I got one more for y'all. So here you go.
- 30:53And then we're going to play the closer.
- 30:55If y'all have any questions, if you need any help.

- 31:01Warrior Foundation. You are not alone.
- 31:03You will never be alone. And let's go kick ass together.
