Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherri Mackey
- 0:04Speaker 1: and it's time right now for today's word. Don't judge
- 0:09Speaker 1: the story in the middle. Don't judge the story in
- 0:14Speaker 1: the middle. Second Corinthians 2.14 says, now thanks be to
- 0:17Speaker 1: God who always leads us in triumph in Christ. Have
- 0:22Speaker 1: you ever been in the middle of a difficult situation
- 0:24Speaker 1: and wondered, Lord, how is this going to work out?
- 0:27Speaker 1: You've prayed, but the problem is still there. You've been believing,
- 0:30Speaker 1: but the answer hasn't come. You're doing your best to
- 0:33Speaker 1: stay encouraged, but when you look at the circumstances, all
- 0:37Speaker 1: you see are obstacles, oppositions, and unanswered questions. If that's
- 0:41Speaker 1: where you are today, let me encourage you. Don't judge
- 0:45Speaker 1: your entire story by what you see in the middle.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Think about it. When you're watching a movie or reading
- 0:52Speaker 1: a book, you don't walk away half through. Simply because
- 0:55Speaker 1: the main character is facing a trouble or a situation,
- 0:59Speaker 1: you understand that there's more to the story. The conflict
- 1:02Speaker 1: hasn't been resolved yet, and you haven't reached the ending. See,
- 1:05Speaker 1: sometimes we do the same thing in life. We look
- 1:08Speaker 1: at a difficult chapter and assume it's the final chapter.
- 1:11Speaker 1: We experience a setback, and we think we've lost. We
- 1:14Speaker 1: face a delay and assume the door will never open,
- 1:17Speaker 1: but the middle is not the end. Come on, Jesus.
- 1:19Speaker 1: 2 Corinthians 2.14 reminds us that God leads us in
- 1:24Speaker 1: triumph in Christ. That doesn't mean we'll never face hardship
- 1:27Speaker 1: or that every situation will turn out exactly the way
- 1:30Speaker 1: we plan. It means that even in the middle of difficulty,
- 1:34Speaker 1: we can trust God to sustain us, to guide us,
- 1:37Speaker 1: and to work in us through whatever we face. Maybe
- 1:41Speaker 1: you're in the middle of a health challenge. Maybe you're
- 1:44Speaker 1: trying to recover financially. Maybe you're trying to restore a relationship.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Find direction or hold on to your faith while waiting
- 1:51Speaker 1: for an answer. Don't panic. Don't let fear write the
- 1:55Speaker 1: end before God is finished working in your life. You
- 1:59Speaker 1: may not see the turnaround yet, but you can still
- 2:02Speaker 1: take the next faithful step. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Seek wisdom.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Do what you can do today and leave what you
- 2:11Speaker 1: can't do in God's hands. And remember, God is your source.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Your hope is not limited. Your current circumstances, your bank account,
- 2:19Speaker 1: your connections, and what people say about you do not
- 2:23Speaker 1: limit you. You can honor God. You can walk in obedience.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You can trust him to provide wisdom, strength, and opportunities
- 2:30Speaker 1: all along the way. You may be in the middle
- 2:33Speaker 1: of a struggle, but you're not without hope. The chapter
- 2:36Speaker 1: you're living through today does not define your entire life.
- 2:39Speaker 1: So don't give up in the middle. Don't lose your
- 2:41Speaker 1: faith in the middle and don't stop moving forward just
- 2:44Speaker 1: because you haven't seen the outcome. Keep your eyes on God.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Your story is still being written. Father God, thank you
- 2:53Speaker 1: for being with us in every season of life. When
- 2:56Speaker 1: we're in the middle of difficulty and can't see how
- 2:58Speaker 1: things will work out, help us to hold on to
- 3:01Speaker 1: our faith. Keep fear from controlling our thoughts and give
- 3:04Speaker 1: us wisdom to take the next right step. Teach us
- 3:07Speaker 1: to trust your timing, depend on your strength, and remember
- 3:11Speaker 1: that our present circumstance does not define our future. Oh God,
- 3:15Speaker 1: we place our worries in your hands and choose to
- 3:17Speaker 1: move forward in hope in Jesus' name. Now that's your
- 3:21Speaker 1: word for today. Take it, apply it to your everyday life,
- 3:24Speaker 1: and you continue to be encouraged and inspired. It's your
- 3:27Speaker 1: early morning praise party. I am Sherri Mackey.
