The word of God is sharper than any double edged sword. The word of Guy is able to ap pierce through our lives and our souls and the bone, marrow and all that, because the word of God is active. Amen. Harmful life, we're gonna talk about it. We have like kind of like a series going on. I notice about last time we talked about abusive abusive living. Yeah, the title exactly was Amen, And today we're going to talk about harmful life. A life lived in drunkenness will show evidence of negative patterns patterns, So think about it. If you're living a life of drunkenness. And that could be alcohol, it could be drugs, it could be some kind of addictive behavior. It will show evidence of negativity, not positivity. Negativity some way, somehow, that negative vibe will show and there will be evidence of it, and the opposite applies. Stay sober and leave the harmful life alone. Just leave it alone. But we're going to need the power of God to leave those patterns alone. Can't do it alone. Amen, We're not meant to do life alone. But we could do this with God's help. Amen, So harmful life on the Morning Devo. We're going to be in Proverbs shot in the twenty three verses twenty nine to thirty five. Man, So harmful life on the morning Devo, Proverbs twenty three, twenty nine to thirty five. So, Father God, thank you so much that you causing us no harm. You mean us no harm. Your intention since the very beginning of our existence, when you created us, was for us to live a life and a life in abundance. Thank you for restoring what we messed up and what we lost. Thank you for sealing the deal by way of your holy spirit for all those who called upon your name to be saved. Thank you, Lo God, that our intentions are not your intentions, that our ways are not your ways. Thank you Jesus for that, because if it was the same, Lo God, we'd be in the same boat and we'll be all hopeless without hope of a future without hope of eternal life. Thank you, Lo, God, that you are with us, in us and shining through us by way of your word, by way of your holy Spirit. I pray I had your protection over my self, my household, my family, my wife, our children, and my whole entire bloodline. The Lopez Galan Clemente Royo, Moraleist family, Amen, and everyone in between, Lucas family, everyone in between. We thank you, Lord God, that you continue to do that. I pray the same prayer of protection over every single person listening and watching, that you would do the same for them as well. Lo God, protecting God, their families as well. And if anyone has these ideas of causing self harm, all the God, I come against that right now the name of Jesus, and that you would show, by way of your holdest spirit, your love and your kindness and your gentleness to those people who are dealing with those ideas and dealing with those thoughts. Right now, in the powerful name of Jesus, we come against that. In Jesus name, I set forth and dispatch arkwen angels right now to every single household, every single job site, every single school, every single place where people are in need of an angelic host and help from your angels, lo God, the angels of light from heaven. Man, there's a lot to learn from the scriptures, and every day that we read it, it's one day really advancing your knowledge and your understanding. Amen. But the issue is that I have where people just reading the scriptures like it's a novel, is that if you're uninspired, if you don't have the spirit of God in you, you won't understand the spiritual things of the Scripture. So when you read it, the Bible said is nonsense for those who are perishing, especially the Gospel. The Gospel the good News of Jesus is nonsense to those who are perishing. And those who are perishing are those who are not with the life of Jesus in them, the life of God in them. Holy Spirit is absent from those people who think this is gibberish. Amen. So my pleed always would be get into a personal relationship with God. Get into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. How do you do that. There's three things you have to do. Admit that you're a sinner. Admit it right that you need God, that you sin against a holy God, whether or not you knew God, because we don't come I don't think in my testimony, I didn't come to God wanting to know who he was. I came to God desperate to know who he was a man, and if he was real, he would have to change my heart and my life. And that's what he did. So I admit that you're a sinner. Believe that he can forgive you for your sins because you're asking Jesus to forgive you for your sins. And then confess, Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. Those three things will get you started into an eternal relationship with an eternal, loving, loving, righteous, holy God. Amen. He'll save you. He'll rescue you, he'll restore you, he'll redeem you. He'll give you a new life, and you'll be living brand new. You won't be living like the old. You'll be living brand new good. Not by yourself. You're good. God in you is good, and he's working his goodness through you. Amen. And that's the good news that we have. We have hope in Christ. We have hope in Christ. I'll say that all the time because I know it's true, personally experienced it. With experience, I know it's true. Amen, God saves. The Lord is real. Jesus is the Savior of the whole entire universe. Amen. The whole world. He took all the punishment and the sins upon himself on that cross, yet he himself did not sin. Is an amazing message. It's an amazing gospel, good news. Amen. Let's get into it. Harmful life today in the morning, Devo, this is what we have here, harmful life. Proverbs, chapter twenty three, verses twenty nine to thirty five. See what it says here, man, These are some questions, Amen. When God asks these questions, when he inspires the writer to ask questions, Amen, I think it's worth answering to your best of your ability. Answer these questions to the best of your ability. Amen. Who has woe? In other words, who is cursed? That word could be translated as cursed right? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaining all these questions? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? Does that sound familiar? Those who tarry long over wine, those who go to try mixed wine, do not look at wine when it is read. When it sparkles in the cup and goes down movely. In the end, it bites like a serpent and stings like an adder. Your eyes will see strange things, and your heart utter perverse things. You will be like one string, one who lies down in the midst of the sea. Think about it, lying down in the midst of the sea, like one who lies on the top of a mast. They struck me, you will say, but I was not hurt. Why because you're numb? They beat me? But I did not feel it. When shall I awake? Another question? I must have another drink. So this person in this description here, it's pretty much lifted. That's an old school term that I use. Lifted as means you're drunk. I you're not sober, You're not in your right mind. Now you have this curse upon you. Now you have this sorrow. You ever met a person that gets really emotional when they're drinking and when they're drunk. So I love you, man, I love you because you know, And they start getting really emotional why because their mind is not right. They're performing a harmful thing in their lives. And man, this is nothing to make fun of people, although I'm guilty of that. This is nothing to you know, put over people and say, yeah, you're this, you're that. Before when I wasn't saved and men, none of us were saying that to one another because we were all drinking and living a harmful life. But sorrow strife. Now you're coming against your very own sister and your brother because you're in a different state of mind. Right now, start complaining. Man, you know this is supposed to be like this, and it's not going my way in this. Some people get angry when they are living this harmful life. Right, Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? Redness of eyes? Is interesting that this is in the scriptures, redness of eyes, because what happens when you're hire, or what happens when you're drunk. You ever looked at somebody's eyes their bloodshot red? Those who tarry long over wine, those who go to try mixed wine. I believe that's talking about strong drink, strong wine, maybe alcohol. Right, do not look at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup and goes down smoothly. If it's going down smoothly, you're gonna drink more and more and more. I had I'm not gonna name the drink, but I used to before I was saved, and when I was in a harmful lifestyle, the club life, the party life. I had this special drink that I used to always ask for it from Barnton. That tastes it like candy, and it would go down smoothly. So since it was tasting like candy would go down smoothly, I would drink more and more and more of it, and then I would reap these harmful life benefits then not really benefits, but you know what I'm trying to say, I will reap this harmful life. I'll reap the woe, the sorrow, the strife, the complaining, the wounds. And then if I would get into a situation like a fight or anything, I don't feel nothing because I'm numb. They struck me, you will say, but I was not hurt. They beat me, but I did not feel it. When shall I awake? I must have another drink. Incredible that this is in the scripture and it's a harmful life, and it's a it's a way of God telling us and being honest with us, said, don't live that way a man. I remember years ago we was at a party and well actually I was, I was the DJ of all of all things and I was done. You know, this was years ago before Christ. I was done. I was so bad that, you know, so drunk that I went, I thought I had to use the bathroom, or I thought I had to you know, u's the toilet to throw out. I'm sorry it's so vulgar, but and I didn't know which way it was going to happen. So I literally was half naked in the bathroom when everybody's watching opening the door. The door is open. And that's how bad I was. The next day I said, I'm never gonna do that again. I'm never gonna do that again. And the next weekend I was at it again. Because when you live this harmful life, you're being led not by the spirit of God. You're being led by your flesh, and that's harmful to your life and doesn't reap benefits that are good. Although you could do whatever you want to do, the scripture says, but not everything that you want to do, Not everything that you do will be beneficient. How many people know that's to be true. Good morning, sister Jueyne, and good morning God blessed you. Welcome back to the morning. Devot's good to see, my sister. So listen, that's where we act. A harmful life. People are living it and we can't judge right if they're outside of the Kingdom. That's not for us to judge. But we could do is pray. Let's pray for those people. And if that's you right now, you're not alone and you're not the only one who's going through that experience. But there is help and there is hope. Amen. And I know it sounds cliche, but go to God with those harmful patterns. Go to God with those lifestyle that will harm your life. Go to God with that. Amen. We'll pray for you. Amen. So we have this there's negative effects of living a harmful life Reddit and Proverbs. Amen. Why would God put this in the book of wisdom a man? Because Proverbs is a book of wisdom. Solomon wrote, inspired by God to write down these wisdom versus the scriptures and the reddest of the eyes that jumped out of me. I was like, it's like almost like, how did God know that that's going to happen? Because he created He knows how the body works. Amen. He knows what happens when we get into this harmful lifestyle. Amen. And then we're not alone and God knows he and God's putting out his hand to help us. Amen. He's not going to be like, oh, it's on you. It's on you now, you know what I mean. You created that mess, you lining that bed that you made for yourself. Now, that's not the guy that we serve. He's actually trying to save us out of that lifestyle. He doesn't want us to live that way. I'm trying to look up another verse here, Isaiah twenty eight. Check it out what it says. Check out what it says in Isaiah twenty eight Versus seven and eight. I'm going to old school. So I'm going to my written scripture here, which, by the way, you should have a written Bible, because get ready, these digital platforms that have these Bibles, people are changing wording. They're doing it subtle so that way you don't notice by the time you get and try to study through digital apps. I'm not saying all digital apps, but I'm saying be careful on digital platforms. When you're reading the scriptures, things are being changed. So Isaiah, did I say twenty eight seven and eight? Scripture says it like this, You get to it twenty eight seventy to eight. But they also have erred through wine and through intoxicating drink. Are out of the way. Priests and the prophet have erred through intoxicating drink. They are swallowed up by wine. They are out of the way through intoxicating drink. Says it twice right there, they er envision. They stumble in judgment verse number eight, for all tables are full of vomit and filth. No place is clean vomiting filth. What does that sound like? And you get too drunk, your your system can't take it, and it releases it, it takes it out, ay men, God knows people think. Oh, the scriptures don't say nothing about alcohol, drugs, sex, doesn't say nothing about this. It doesn't say nothing about that. You're just not reading the scriptures and you're denying the facts. God knows how we are created. He created us. He knows how the body functions. He knows what is good for us and what's bad for us. He knows what we what we should be eating, and what we should not be eating, what we should be drinking, and what we should not be drinking. He knows what's going on in our anatomy. He created us. He's the divine creator. He is the creator of good things. Everything that God created was for good and man, you could check that out and the podcast that I did creator for good. But we, as human beings decided to go another way, all have strayed like sheep. The Bible says, we went our own way. And then when we get into the mess, this harmful life and men, we were like blaming everybody else except blaming ourselves for the actions that we took to get us to a place that is harming, harmful not only to us but to all the people around us. It's not a good situation, but it's harmful life. I come against and in the name of Jesus, when my mind tries to think these ways and think about the old days, I remind my mind by way of hold the spirit, that I don't have to live in an old way anymore. I live in a new life, the new life for Christ. He gave you and me a new way of living. He gave us a new mind, eyes to see, a mouth to speak, and a new heart. Amen. And the desires that are in our heart now are God desires. They're no longer our own desires. But we have an enemy against the spirit of God in us. It's called the flesh. The flesh wants to live a harmful life. The flesh wants to take you out quick because if the flesh gets his way, it would do everything that it wants to do. And all of what the flesh wants to do in your life and in my life will cause harm. And you're living a harmful life, and you get so far away from God's purpose in your life that you might not know how to get back. I remember back in the day when I first got saved, first two years, I used to run in the clubs. You gotta think, well, that's hers. You know, what are you doing in the clubs with a notepad with a clipboard? And since I used to promote clubs, the bouncers knew me for all these clubs in the area. And I said, listen, I'm not partying no more, so I just want to go in with this clipboard. And take down prayer requests. They would look at me like I'm completely nuts. But they said, okay, Sam Rock, you could go in, but I'm gonna time you. The bouncers say ten minutes. Don't try to get over on me. I'll kick you out. I said, no, it's only gonna take ten fifteen minutes. You could just see me literally writing down prayer requests and inside those clubs, I tell you, man, the most powerful prayer requests I've ever heard in my life. And when people would say, listen, I used to I used to be go to church, I used to be a pastor. I used to be a pastor's kid. Well, I am a pastor's kid, or whatever they said to me. Amen. A lot of them used to say, I'm so far away from God, I don't know how to get back. In other words, they got lost in this harmful lifestyle. Amen. Yes, it is a harmful lifestyle. The party of life is harmful. I'm saying it. Yo, you're so religious. I'm not religious. I'm a relational person and I have a relationship with the Word of God, which is the living Word, which is Jesus, and his word says all of that drinking all that wine is sparkling, will cause red eyes? What cause you to get numb? You get into fight, it says it in the scultry. Were just ready to get into fight. You want even feel it. You'll probably get knocked out. And then when you wake up, I need another drink. You'll have a curse upon you. Amen? What else? Nothing's good here? Sorrow, curses, strife, complaints, needless bruises. This version says bloodshot eyes. None of it is good. Amen. So all this thing about, oh no, you know wine is good for your stomach whatever, so is peptobismo. Amen, stop it. We know what we're doing, especially when we're adults. If you want to drink, don't make excuses. And they'll say, oh Jesus, you know, drink wine with the disciples at the last supper, this, that, and the third. You don't know that the Bible knows to say he drank the wine at the last Supper. Hey man, I want to go down that rabbit trail because I already know. I've dealt with that before I saw the scripture. I read it, I studied it. People are assuming that he drank, but it doesn't say that he did. Okay, even if he did, that's the Lord Jesus. And that wine wasn't with the what we're popping bottles now, it's different, it's not the same as different. It's alcohol. That was wine that was from the Greek vines, right, Nah, it's a stretch. So basically, I tell people, if you want to drink, ahead and drink, but it's not going to be anything beneficial by getting drunk. And people have this thing about it's not my personality. I tell people, listen, why would I drink anything like alcoholic bever if I'm not going to get drunk because my personality says, well, now that I'm drinking, I might as well get drunk. And then the flesh kicks in. People are actually telling me, no, I only drink. I don't get drunk. I just drink to that point. What point? Your point and my point two different things. No one has the same point. A one glass of a toll glass of wine might get me intoxicated. One glass of wine might have you fine, But then are you going to stop or going to continue? And if you're thirsty, why go for that? Why not drink water? Juice? Right? Have stomach issues? Why don't you take medicines that deal with the stomach. Pray first, a man, go to the great physician first and ask them for wisdom for healing for your body. Harmful life, man, either way you put it, I don't want nobody to live that life. I don't want to live that life. I don't want my children to live their life. My family lived a life. I don't want you to live that harmful life because there's nothing good. Read it for yourself. Proverbs chapter twenty three. Read the whole chapter but verses twenty nine to thirty five, and nothing good about it. Man has no benefits. You said it has benefits, but in this scripture it doesn't say it has any benefits. So anyway, I'm out of time. Don't live the harmful life a man. Stay sober a man, and live a life in abundance in Christ. You want to get drunk, get drunk in the spirit of God. Amen. So I'm out of here.
