【How the Father Felt When He Swore the Oath】

When You appointed Your Son as High Priest,

You foresaw the scene Your oath would bring —

Your Son, Being whipped, nailed and hung on high;

He’d taste death much crueler than hell!

Then You heard His cry that’d finally came,

Word’s that’d pierce through Your already broken heart:

“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

These words devastated Your heart!

Such a sight, such emotions when You swore,

Yet You never wavered nor did You hesitate.

Scenes flashed past, one by one, stunning Your heart;

Yet Your fervour blazed…
