I am Craig, and today we are taking a look at the starts and sits for week three of the NFL season. Week one and week two were quite a roller coaster, really high scoring first week, really low scoring. Second week, weather played a definite impact in a lot of those games in week two. I think week three is going to reload and be another very exciting, very fun week. Got some good matchups. But let's jump into it. Let's get right at it. With the Thursday night matchup, we are looking at the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons. And we will start on the Atlanta Falcon side of things. New quarterback, old quarterback, Michael Penix is back, named the starter for this week. So we're gonna go ahead and obviously sit Tua, who is still battling injury injury. We're gonna set Cooper Rush, who probably doesn't deserve to be on the roster anymore. He has been very, very bad through with. Two weeks. But Michael Penix is back. We're going to sit him for week one. I've seen enough from last year to know that he's up and down and you don't know what you're going to get with him first game back. Could be some rust there. But we're going to go ahead and sit him. But we will go ahead and start the other playmakers there in Atlanta. Bijan, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts are all going to be fired up this week. I think they all see a big boost with Michael Penix in there at quarterback. I I don't know that. A guy like Drake London or even Kyle Pitts are gonna hit their elite ceiling if they had a better quarterback. Maybe they could. I don't know that Michael Penix necessarily elevates them to that elite status, but he is definitely better than what they had before. So they all get a bump up and they're all a start this week. On the Green Bay side of things, Jordan Love has been playing pretty good. He will be a start. I am staying away from the backfield, Marshawn Lloyd, Chris Brooks, Caleb Johnson. You don't know who it's gonna be. I'm staying clear of all three of them. Christian Watson is a start for me. He has been lights out. Jaden Reed with that injury. I believe they said it was a back issue or a neck issue, something the head-neck area, but he is out for some time. So you're obviously sitting him. Matthew Golden will get a bump up without Jaden Reed there. He has already been seeing a ton of targets and a ton of routes. So we'll fire up Matthew Golden. And then Tucker Kraft, I think you probably have to start him. I know that he hasn't been lights out yet, but the day is coming, and it could be this week against a pretty poor Atlanta defense. Over to Sunday, the Jets versus the Dolphins. And on the Jets side, we are sitting Geno Smith, starting Brace Brees Hall, Garrett Wilson, and then we are sitting but monitoring Adnai Mitchell coming off a big week where he saw, I believe, 12 targets last week in week two. So we're gonna keep an eye on him. Maybe you picked him up on the waiver wire this week. We're not ready to start him quite yet. He might be in flex consideration next week, depending on what he does this week, but we're monitoring him. And then Kenyon Sadiq, we're also going to sit for now, keeping an eye on that talented rookie. On the Detroit side of things, you're starting all of the normal studs Goff, Gibbs, St. Brown, and Laporta. Jamison Williams has been off to a very bad start here in ⁓ this season. I'm gonna go ahead and sit him this week. He was kind of in that flex territory, wide receiver two territory. I'm gonna take a ⁓ step back this week and leave him on the bench. He's just got to prove it to me first. Obviously any week he could go off for a few touchdowns, a few big plays, and I could regret that, but I would rather that happen than take another lump with him sitting in my starting lineup. To the Carolina Panthers and the Cleveland Browns, ⁓ the Panthers offense has maybe surprised some people this year, but ⁓ Bryce Young, you You got to roll him out there. He is a top five quarterback as of right now. So we're starting him. We're starting Chuba Hubbard with the injury to Jonathan Brooks. I think Chuba Hubbard's workload's going to increase even more. He's been very good so far in the year. I'm rolling him out there with a lot of confidence. Tetter Ola McMillan and Jalen Coker, same thing. I'm rolling them out there with confidence right now. They are proving to be top wide receivers. And then Darren Waller, the touchdown machine. I'm not ready to start him yet. ⁓ you're really depending on him scoring a touchdown if you throw him in your starting lineup. His targets are not very high. His participation is not very high. But when they get in the red zone, he does score some touchdowns. So maybe if you're playing in in a standard league and you need a tight end, he could be a good option. But definitely if you're in a PPR league, he's not going to get you a whole lot. On the Cleveland side of things, Deshaun Watson, we're sitting. Quinchon Judkins, we will start. ⁓ Denzel Boston, I'm going to move him up to a start this week. He has scored big touchdowns in the first two weeks. Maybe a little bit of a fluke on both of them, but he's definitely got that big play potential. He's a stud wide receiver with a good frame. I will trust him. I'll throw him in that lineup, maybe as a flex play. KC Concepcion, he's looked really good too. I just don't know that there's enough to go around. So with starting Boston, I'm gonna sit ⁓ Concepcion this week. And then Harold Fannon, you're starting, you don't have any other options. If you drafted him, more than likely. Over to the Chiefs and the Dolphins, obviously ⁓ Mahomes, Walker, Kelsey, they're all gonna be starts. Rasheed Rice, I'm not ready to give up on quite yet. He's gonna get more involved as the year goes on. I've talked about it previously. His knee still does not look fully ⁓ healthy to me. He'll get more involved, maybe even this week against a poor Miami Dolphins team. And then Xavier Worthy, if you're in a deeper league or you're maybe you're just in a 12 team league, you've got a couple extra flex spots, whatever it is, I think he's a fine flex play. And he's I think he's leading the team in targets right now. If not leading, he's right up there. Him and Travis Kelsey have have really kind of traded blows there. Ken Walker is ⁓ involved in the receiving game, but Xavier Worthy seems to be the receiver that Patrick Mahomes is looking for. And then over Over on the Miami side, Malik Willis is a sit for now. We're monitoring that. ⁓ Devon Achan, he's a start because you probably don't have a better option. I maybe you do. If you've got another running back that you can start, I definitely advise that. This Miami offense is just not they're not running enough plays, they're not good on the plays that they're running. Devon Han's gonna have a big struggle all season long. And I talked about that all offseason. He scared the crap out of me, and it's all coming to fruition right now. Chris Bell, Malik Washington, and Caleb Douglas were sitting all of them right now. I think ⁓ Kansas City's defense is really good. Their secondary is good. And I just don't trust any of those three wide receivers in this matchup. For Cincinnati, we are going to start the obvious ones. Burrow, Brown, Chase, and Higgins are all starts. Kasicki is going to sit. He kind of came back to reality last week. Obviously, always a chance that he scores a touchdown. He's on a good offense, but. Really, Jamar Chase and Higgins are the only pass catchers I want to start there for Cincinnati. For Pittsburgh, it's kind of the same thing. I'm staying clear of that whole team. Cincinnati's defense has looked a lot better this year, and Pittsburgh scares the crap out of me. I'm gonna stay away from Rogers. Obviously, Dowdle has been banged up. We'll see if he ends up good to go this week or not. Jalen Warren, I'm gonna sit even if Dowdle is out. DK Metcalf, he's getting a ton of targets. They're just not translating to a whole lot. Michael Pittman, we'll see if he's back from injury or not. And then Friar Mouth. He's also getting some targets, but they're just not translating to enough. And that's kind of what I talked about all offseason is they're going to be a slow paced offense. They're not going to really stretch the field a whole lot. They're not going to be super explosive. And I just don't think they're going to score enough points on the season. The Houston offense, ⁓ boy, they have looked lost at times this week this year. ⁓ but this week we are staying away from Stroud. We'll go back to the well with Montgomery. I know last week was not good. I don't know what's going on there in Houston, but I think they get things turned around here against the Indianapolis Colts. Woody Marks were sitting. Nico Collins monitoring that hamstring issue still. I don't know if he'll be back this week or not, but keep an eye on that if you have him. If he is out, I I'm ⁓ I'm okay starting Xavier Hutchinson. He got a lot of targets last week. No, it didn't translate to a whole lot, but if you need a flex play, Xavier Hutchinson could be a good play. Keyshawn Booty We're gonna sit him and then Dalton Schultz is an obvious start, especially if Nico Collins is out. He saw a ton of work last week. On the Colts side of thing, Daniel Jones, we are gonna sit. Jonathan Taylor is an obvious start. Pierce is banged up. Josh Downs could be a good flex play. He saw a lot of work ⁓ last week against Kansas City. And then Keenan Allen, ⁓ he is gonna be a sit this week. Laquan Treadwell, he saw a big boost once Pierce got hurt, but I I want to see how it all shakes out in a true game where Pierce misses time, who gets those targets, who gets those routes. So I'm gonna sit Treadwell. And then Tyler Warren, he's getting the ball thrown his way a lot. It's just not a lot of yardage so far this year. But like a lot of these tight ends, if you drafted him, you're starting him. Don't sway away from that early on in the season. Over to the Chargers and the Bills, Justin Herbert. We are getting out of that game this week. I've gone to bat form the last two weeks. He's laid duds. I'm sitting Justin Herbert this week. I think I can pick up a guy like Tyler Shook and start him this week over Justin Herbert. He has looked a lot better than Herbert has. I'm staying out of that Chargers offense right now to where I can. Omarion Hampton will start him because again, you took him high. You probably don't have better choices. Keaton Mitchell's a sit. Lad McConkey, he's just so good. Temper expectations, but you're you're firing him up. Quentin Johnson is a sit, and then a Ronde Gadston. I do think we'll get a lot more involved in the pass game. I think he'll get a lot of targets with the other tight ends out, but I still don't trust it fully yet. So I'm gonna sit him this week. For Buffalo, boy, they could score a million points in this game. Josh Allen's a start. James Cook is a start. DJ Moore, if he's out there, you play him. Khalil Shakir, we could see get a boost, but I still don't think he's more than like a 20, 15 to 20 points at the absolute best for him. I really think Keon Coleman is the one that's gonna get the boost if Moore is out. So if more is missing time, I'll start Keon Coleman in my flex. If not, I'm probably gonna sit Keon Coleman. And then Dalton Kincaid is obviously the beneficiary of a lot of this offense this year. He is an obvious start week in and week out right now. For Seattle, ⁓ I don't think Darnold's gonna be back this year or this week. Maybe he'll be back. Maybe it'll be another week or two. But if he's back, we're gonna sit him regardless. Drew Locke is a sit this week. Jadarian Price banged up, we'll sit him. Halani will sit Emmanuel Wilson. If price is out, I'll fire him up in my flex all day long. If I absolutely need him as my running back, too, I'd feel comfortable if price is not there. Jackson Smith and Jigba, automatic start every week. Shaheed and Cup and Barner are all sits for me. Over to the Washington side of things, Jaden Daniels, obviously not playing a very gruesome injury there. Marcus Mariota will be the quarterback this week, and we will stay away from that. ⁓ Jakori Krosky Merritt will sit. He he saw his snaps kind of decrease last week in a game that they were trailing and also maybe some punishment from that fumble in week one. ⁓ Rashad White saw a huge boost last week. Maybe you picked him up off the waivers. Maybe you feel like you want to start him this week. If you want to put him in at the flex, I guess I don't have a huge problem with it. He saw a ton of targets in week two. ⁓ just monitor that situation. And then Terry McLaurin, if you have to start him, you can. If you have a better option, go ahead and put him on the bench. ⁓ Stephon Diggs seems to be the red zone guy. He's getting the touchdowns. He's getting the targets. I'd fire him up. Antonio Williams and Chigo Conquo will sit. Okonquo is still battling that injury. We'll see when he comes back. Over to the Titans and the Giants, Cam Ward has not looked great. A little better in week two than week one, but still gonna sit him. Tony Pollard, I have as a start right now. He's a very low end RB two. Tajay Spears really looked good in that game in week two against Philadelphia. He's one to monitor. ⁓ he was talked about in waiver wire pickups this week. Keep an eye on that running back situation there in Tennessee. Carnell Tate will start, I guess, as a flex. ⁓ Wandell will sit and Gunnarhelm will sit. Carnell Tate is getting the targets. It's just not turning into much. I think, you know, if he can get a a seam on one play, he's going to take off, and that will really help his day. So a low end flex play for Carnell Tate, but not when I'm like really dying to start. Over to the Giants side of things, obviously the injury to Jackson Dart is a bummer for this entire offense. He will be out this week. And Jameis Winston will probably get that start. We're going to go ahead and sit him. And We'll start everybody else, but I'm gonna temper expectations. You know, Scadaboo Neighbors is dealing with his own injury, so keep an eye on that. Maybe he doesn't even end up playing in this game. But if he does, you gotta start him. And then Isaiah likely. You can start him, but temper expectations there. Singletary, we're staying away from that. I don't feel great about any of this Giants offense now with the injury to Dart. And that's a real bummer because I was very excited for this Giants team this year. And it just didn't look good on Monday night football with that injury to Dart. We'll see what the timeline is there and when he can get back out on the field. But hopefully he gets back out there soon. For the New England Patriots, ⁓ Drake May, we will start him. Ramondre Stevenson, I'm gonna sit him. I I really think last week they kind of made that switch to Henderson. ⁓ Stevenson fumbled it away again. And I think that they're just sick of it. We'll go ahead and fire Trevian up in the flex position this week. Dobbs, Hollins, and Demario Douglas, we're gonna sit all three of those. And Hunter Henry, we will also sit. I don't feel great about anybody on this offense right now, but Henderson definitely gives that spark. So we'll fire him up in the flex position. For the Jaguars, Trevor Lawrence coming off a bad week in Denver. I think bounces back this week. He'll get the start. Bashall Tootin seems to be the guy in that backfield, so he'll get the start. Brian Thomas Jr., I saw a thing the other day that Parker Washington is the Amon Ra and Brian Thomas is the Jamison Williams. And that feels very accurate. We'll start Parker Washington until further notice. He seems to be an absolute stud. Brian Thomas will take a seat on the bench. Jacoby Myers and Brenton Strange will join him there. For the Cardinals offense, Jacoby Brissett is a sit. Tyler Algier and Jeremiah Love are a sit. Marvin Harrison Jr. is a sit. And then Michael Wilson will start in that flex if we need to. ⁓ Trey McBride is an obvious start every week. San Francisco, Brock Purdy is a start. McCaffrey's a start. Kalon Black, unless you're in a deeper league where you need a second flex or something, he'll be a sit. But if you need him, you can start him. Mike Evans, monitor that injury situation. ⁓ if he's healthy and he's out there, you gotta play him. Debo Samuel, I am starting. They are very thin on wide receivers. They're gonna need Debo out there. And the same with George Kittle. The Vikings and the Buccaneers, Kyler Murray should be back this week. I I think they actually just named him the starter for week three, but we're gonna sit him in his first game back. Aaron Jones, as long as he's healthy and out there, seems to be the workhorse for the Vikings offense. So I'll fire him up. Jefferson, you gotta start. But Addison, I'm staying away from. And then Hawkinson in those deeper leagues where you might need a flyer tight end. Maybe you got somebody injured. I think Hawkinson's a good fill-in low end tight end for you. The Tampa Bay offense has really struggled this year, and I am going to sit Baker Mayfield this week. Abuka scares the poop out of me. I think if you drafted him where you should have drafted him, you might have to start him. ⁓ but definitely monitor that. If you have a better situation, go ahead and start them over a buka. He has just I mean, he's he's looked okay, I guess. It's more so Baker and the entire offense haven't looked great. Bucky Irving will be a start for me. Chris Godwin and Kate Otten, I'm staying away from Abuka's really the only pass catcher that I might give a start to if I absolutely have to. The Ravens will get things back on track this week. I truly believe it. Lamar Jackson, Derek Henry, Zay Flowers, if he's back from that injury, they're saying that he might be back this week. If he's out there, you gotta play him. He looked too good in week one. ⁓ Rashad Bateman, I think you start him either way because even if Flowers is out there, he might be limited a little bit. ⁓ I think Bateman showed last week that he could handle that. So you gotta fire him up as your flex. And then Mark Andrews, I want all of that as well. On the Dallas side of things, ⁓ kind of the same story. Dak Prescott, Javante Williams, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Jake Ferguson, I'll start all of them. Ferguson had two touchdowns last week. It's hard to go away from that. And I think Pickens gets more involved. The squeaky wheel's gonna start to get the grease here before long. CeeDee Lamb had a huge game in week two. I could see Pickens maybe picking that up here in week three against the Ravens. One of those two is gonna go off every week. I don't know that they're ever gonna both have really, really big games. I think they're gonna alternate a little bit, and maybe this week is a Pickens week. Over to the Raiders and the Saints, this one could be really fun. A sneaky, fun game. Both teams Could be two and ⁓ right now. They're just unfortunately not. The Saints got that big win in Baltimore, could have gotten a big win in Detroit in week one, came down to one play and just didn't happen. The Raiders are two and ⁓ They're looking a lot better, a lot more competent on both sides of the football. But we're gonna sit Kirk Cousins. I just don't think his volume is enough. Ashton Jensi a start. Jalen Naylor and Trey Tucker. These are ones you gotta watch. Trey Tucker obviously had the big week two. But with Brock Bowers hopefully coming back this week, I think Tucker's targets are gonna drop a little bit. Just keep an eye on that. Brock Bowers, if he's there, you're starting him. If he's not, maybe Trey Tucker slides into your flex. On the New Orleans side of things, I'm starting Shuck. I'm sitting both running backs, Achan and Kamara. They're gonna both just eat into each other's value. ⁓ and then Olave and Vele. I'm starting both of them. Juwan Johnson has looked really good as well. Over to Sunday night football, the Rams and the Broncos. Matthew Stafford looked dominant on Monday night football. He is a start. Both running backs, I'm starting him. Quorum has looked like he's got the juice. Kyron Williams obviously gets all the work, but they both could score for you. Korum more of a flex guy. Puka, if he's healthy, he's back. He's obviously in your lineup. Devontae Adams, how do you sit him after last week? He was so good on Monday night football. And then Terrence Ferguson, keep an eye on that. If Puka is out again, Ferguson could slot into your lineup. If Puka is back, I think Ferguson goes back to the bench. For Denver, Bo Nicks, we'll give him another week. He has not been good, but we will give him another week. Jonah Coleman, he could be very, very valuable this week, depending on what the other running backs do health wise. I know JK Dobbins doesn't look as serious, and he could be back this week. Keep an eye on that. Monitor who's going to be in, who's going to be out for the Denver brat backfield. But if it's only Coleman, I mean he could be as as high as an RB two this week. Even if Dobbins is there, I still think Coleman could be a flex play. And then Jalen Waddell got back to business in week two. He's obviously going to be a start. Cortland Sutton and Pat Bryant will be sits, as well as Evan Ingram. And last but not least, over to Monday Night Football, the Eagles and the Bears. Man, this one could have been very, very fun had Caleb Williams not gotten injured last week. There's talk of him maybe playing this week. I don't think that'll happen. Ben Johnson's kind of come out and said pump the brakes a little bit on that. But nonetheless, we're starting Hertz. Barkley, if he's out there, keep a very close eye on that. Gonna be another tough situation on Monday night football. He's playing late. Got that stinger in week two. And Tank Bigsby came in and kind of looked dominant. Keep an eye on that. Maybe Bigsby gets the start. ⁓ Makai Lemon, we're gonna sit. He has not really done a whole lot. Looks like to be the wide receiver three option there. Devante Smith, we will start. Dontavian Wicks, if you're in a 12-team league or a deeper league, he could be a good flex play. And then Dallas Goddard, obviously, with that injury, we can go ahead and take him off of there. Now, for Chicago, Tyson Bajant should get the start there. I'm staying away from both quarterbacks. ⁓ DeAndre Swift, we will start. Manungay holds that flex value, just gets it so involved in that Chicago offense. Luther Burden, Roma Dunze, you might have to start depending on what other options you have. If you have better options, definitely start them over these Bears receivers right now. Just so murky. And obviously with Agent coming in, who knows what that's going to look like. Colson Loveland, man, I get it. I don't want to start him, but I don't have any other options, and you probably don't either. ⁓ if you ended up getting a guy like Dalton Kincaid late in the draft, maybe you start him over. If you do, you definitely start him over Colston Loveland. But that will just depend on who you have that could be better than Loveland this week. And that's all I've got for you guys. Let me know down in the comments who you're starting, who you're sitting, hit that like button and make sure to subscribe. And I will catch you guys on the next one. See ya.
