- 0:02Speaker 1: On scorn Wields Australia.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Winder Paney Show.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the Riata Paney Show.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Coming up tonight, economists warn that Labour's changes so the
- 0:15Speaker 4: capital gains tax will add further pressure to the housing crisis.
- 0:19Speaker 3: The panel will join me to discuss that.
- 0:21Speaker 4: In the day's other top headlines, ar Mi Horowitz will
- 0:25Speaker 4: have the latest from the US, including the astonishing developments
- 0:28Speaker 4: in Virginia which represent a genuine threat to democracy.
- 0:33Speaker 3: And later in the hour.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Kids Is Skofield will have all your royal and entertainment news,
- 0:38Speaker 4: including the latest Star the Left is trying to cancel,
- 0:42Speaker 4: and we have a monster edition of Left Is Losing
- 0:46Speaker 4: It for you tonight before the first ad break, including
- 0:49Speaker 4: this charming granny.
- 0:52Speaker 5: I hope you are listening, you Maga maggots, I cannot stand.
- 1:01Speaker 4: But first, your healthcare costs are about to sew. If
- 1:04Speaker 4: you're aged over sixty five. The high private health insurance
- 1:08Speaker 4: rebate for over sixty fives will be scrapped, with the
- 1:11Speaker 4: Albanezy government essentially transferring money from older Australians with private
- 1:16Speaker 4: health insurance to those requiring age care.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Let's hear from Health Minister Mark.
- 1:21Speaker 6: Butler right now, we subsidize private health cover for Australians
- 1:26Speaker 6: over sixty five at a higher rate than other Australians.
- 1:30Speaker 6: In the election environment of two thousand and four, with
- 1:33Speaker 6: government coffers frankly reaping the benefits of the China boom,
- 1:36Speaker 6: John Howard increased the private health insurance rebate, but only
- 1:41Speaker 6: for Australians over sixty five. In twenty twenty six. That's
- 1:45Speaker 6: a policy that's harder to defend. It means two households
- 1:49Speaker 6: on the same income receiving different levels of government support
- 1:54Speaker 6: based only on their age, and that's simply not fair
- 1:57Speaker 6: between generations and it's simply not the best way to
- 2:00Speaker 6: spend precious tax payer dollars on behalf of older Australians
- 2:05Speaker 6: when we need to do so much heavy lifting in
- 2:07Speaker 6: aged care.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Joining me now is Sky News contributor pro McSween and
- 2:12Speaker 4: former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger Prue. This measure
- 2:17Speaker 4: is expected to save the government around three billion dollars,
- 2:21Speaker 4: which will be redirected into new age care package in
- 2:25Speaker 4: the May twelfth budget.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Is this a necessary move?
- 2:30Speaker 7: Well, it is by a government that's so inept and
- 2:33Speaker 7: spending its money on ridiculous things and not prioritizing what
- 2:41Speaker 7: we believe should be prioritized, and that is caring for
- 2:45Speaker 7: older people who have worked so hard, people who have
- 2:50Speaker 7: risked a lot of savings and whatever else to really
- 2:55Speaker 7: build their income so that they can look after themselves
- 2:59Speaker 7: in their own age, and now they're being penalized this
- 3:03Speaker 7: whole social equity idea where you know, we'll just rob
- 3:08Speaker 7: from the oldies because really it's not fair that they
- 3:11Speaker 7: have the ability to look after themselves, so we're not
- 3:16Speaker 7: going to give them any kickback. It will mean that,
- 3:20Speaker 7: in fact, a lot of the older people will go
- 3:22Speaker 7: to the public hospital system and drain it dry. You know,
- 3:26Speaker 7: it's just typical thinking of the Labor Party will just
- 3:29Speaker 7: kick the oldies, you know, make and kick anybody who's
- 3:33Speaker 7: had a go in this country.
- 3:35Speaker 8: And this is what annoys me so.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Much, Michael.
- 3:39Speaker 4: That is undoubtedly going to be a consequence of this policy.
- 3:44Speaker 4: You are going to have more people, particularly in that
- 3:48Speaker 4: older age group, which typically have more medical care requirements,
- 3:53Speaker 4: going into the public system, which is going to put
- 3:56Speaker 4: a lot more pressure on the public health system, right.
- 4:00Speaker 9: Reader, And that's why the HOWD government introduced this rebate
- 4:02Speaker 9: in the first place twenty years ago. It's that exact reason.
- 4:05Speaker 9: We don't want any more pressure on the public hospital
- 4:08Speaker 9: system because there are long waiting lists for elective surgery
- 4:11Speaker 9: non elective surgery already. This was a way in which
- 4:16Speaker 9: we'd say to people, Okay, you have to pay more.
- 4:18Speaker 9: They don't get it all back, they get less than
- 4:20Speaker 9: thirty percent back. But we want to encourage people to
- 4:22Speaker 9: take out private health insurance, to use private hospitals to
- 4:26Speaker 9: take pressure off the public system. That's why it was introduced.
- 4:29Speaker 9: So this is a wrong policy by the Labor Party
- 4:32Speaker 9: to do this. It'll have the inevitable consequences of blowing
- 4:35Speaker 9: out waiting lists for surgery, and that's why the Howard
- 4:39Speaker 9: government stopped it in two a four by bringing in
- 4:41Speaker 9: the rebate, and it should stay as it is.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Reader It's just such short term thinking, but it's what
- 4:49Speaker 4: we've come to expect from this government now. Economists have
- 4:52Speaker 4: also worn that Labour's looming changes to the capital gains
- 4:56Speaker 4: tax could give rise to the never sell investor of
- 5:00Speaker 4: tax at William buck Todd want told the Daily Telegraph,
- 5:04Speaker 4: this is a definite risk here that people will pay
- 5:07Speaker 4: closer attention to swapping out of assets and instead of
- 5:10Speaker 4: settling down a property and buying a different investment. They
- 5:14Speaker 4: may think, if I'm going to be taxed too harshly
- 5:16Speaker 4: on this, maybe I'll just keep holding it and just
- 5:20Speaker 4: earning the rental yield on it and letting it tick away.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Michael. The federal government.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Is expected to either cut the discount from fifty percent
- 5:29Speaker 4: to thirty three percent, or perhaps revert to the pre
- 5:33Speaker 4: nineteen ninety nine system that taxed real gains in factored
- 5:36Speaker 4: in inflation. Whatever changes they do here, it's not going
- 5:44Speaker 4: to help the housing crisis, is it. Because it's going
- 5:46Speaker 4: to take more and more investors out of the market,
- 5:49Speaker 4: it's going to make rents more expensive, and it really
- 5:53Speaker 4: isn't dealing with the fundamental issues we have with housing
- 5:56Speaker 4: in this country.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Michael.
- 5:58Speaker 9: Well, that's exactly right.
- 5:59Speaker 3: It's a diversion.
- 6:01Speaker 9: I mean to say, oh, we've we've got to increase
- 6:04Speaker 9: taxes on property investors. Well, that's Labour's answer to everything.
- 6:07Speaker 9: We've got to increase taxes. We have this ridiculous debate
- 6:11Speaker 9: in Australia today about increasing taxes on gas exports without
- 6:15Speaker 9: a single person explaining how much money coming to make
- 6:19Speaker 9: I mean, what is the what is the profit on
- 6:22Speaker 9: oil and gas exploration?
- 6:23Speaker 10: Is it?
- 6:24Speaker 3: Is it?
- 6:25Speaker 9: Are they suuperprofits? What are they? How do you know
- 6:27Speaker 9: that they should pay more tax? We don't know what
- 6:29Speaker 9: tax they're paying at the minute by projects. So this
- 6:32Speaker 9: is just another example of labor increasing taxes. It's the lazy,
- 6:36Speaker 9: easy way to go about government policy. Thankfullness, they've done
- 6:39Speaker 9: something about the NDIS, but their default position or just
- 6:43Speaker 9: increase taxes on wealthier people. That's exactly what they do.
- 6:49Speaker 9: It's lazy politics, it's it's it's weak economics, and it
- 6:53Speaker 9: certainly won't help the housing supply market, which is all
- 6:56Speaker 9: you know, is regulated to death, and that's one of
- 6:59Speaker 9: the reasons why we have a house and shortage in
- 7:01Speaker 9: this country. Tymetry, glacier on housing, and too much mess immigration.
- 7:05Speaker 9: They're the problems with housing today.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Reader for it certainly isn't going to help supplies.
- 7:12Speaker 4: If you've got less investors in the market, you've got
- 7:14Speaker 4: less incentive to be building new homes, and that seems
- 7:19Speaker 4: to be a fundamental issue. We're bringing in record numbers
- 7:21Speaker 4: of migrants and housing isn't keeping up with that.
- 7:24Speaker 7: Well, this is the whole point reader, isn't it if
- 7:27Speaker 7: they stopped importing voters, labor voters, which is what they're doing,
- 7:33Speaker 7: and why this is why there is so much pressure
- 7:35Speaker 7: on housing, we wouldn't have this problem. But you know,
- 7:40Speaker 7: labor doesn't think it through. You look at that five
- 7:42Speaker 7: percent relief they were giving to first home buyers, which
- 7:47Speaker 7: is going to non citizens, and in fact it's not working.
- 7:53Speaker 7: And this is the problem that everything labor does, it
- 7:56Speaker 7: sounds good on paper, great idea, back slapping in their
- 8:01Speaker 7: little think tanks, and then they introduce these things and
- 8:05Speaker 7: they never work and the repercussions are huge. And this
- 8:08Speaker 7: is typical labor. It's not going to work. It's going
- 8:11Speaker 7: to backfire. And of course, you know they claim that
- 8:14Speaker 7: it's the wealthy they're you know, really taxing, Well it's not.
- 8:18Speaker 7: It's a lot of really hard working Australians, doctors, frontline
- 8:24Speaker 7: people who have worked really hard to just get that
- 8:26Speaker 7: investment property for their superannuation so they can look after
- 8:31Speaker 7: themselves and they're being taxed more.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Now to a story that is on the front page
- 8:37Speaker 4: of the Daily Telegraph today and the Herald Sun. It's
- 8:40Speaker 4: about a new building code that's been proposed, which will
- 8:44Speaker 4: make half of the toilets in new public buildings designated
- 8:48Speaker 4: as gender neutral. Building groups have slammed the proposal, saying
- 8:52Speaker 4: it only adds to further red tape that needs to
- 8:55Speaker 4: be cleared and pro I've got to say, I don't
- 8:59Speaker 4: understand that the whole point of this, the rule change,
- 9:02Speaker 4: is intended to prioritize female use while serving all uses.
- 9:08Speaker 3: That sounds like gas lighting to me.
- 9:10Speaker 4: I would think this is exactly the sort of policy
- 9:12Speaker 4: women don't want to see. They don't want to have
- 9:15Speaker 4: male bodies in their bathrooms.
- 9:17Speaker 7: We don't, you know, it's just they're fall over themselves.
- 9:21Speaker 7: They've injected all these ideologists into every institution and now
- 9:26Speaker 7: it's hitting the building trade, and you know, imposing these
- 9:29Speaker 7: ridiculous rules. It's a question of safety and security for
- 9:34Speaker 7: women and hygiene. We don't want to share our bathrooms
- 9:39Speaker 7: with men, and it's just absurdity. It's going to force
- 9:44Speaker 7: prices up for all the developers. Again, another labor idea
- 9:50Speaker 7: that stinks and won't work.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Michael, this preoccupation with bathrooms from the left got out
- 10:00Speaker 4: of hand. Now if you're imposing these regulations, I mean, really,
- 10:06Speaker 4: do we need more red tape in the construction sector.
- 10:09Speaker 9: No, reader, we don't. This is just another extreme example
- 10:13Speaker 9: of why so many developers are certain here in Victoria.
- 10:15Speaker 9: A lot of developers have given up on Victoria land,
- 10:19Speaker 9: tax over regulation, open space heritage reports, safety reports, all
- 10:25Speaker 9: sorts of reports they have to do, residents objections, the
- 10:29Speaker 9: high borrowing costs, massive red tape by the government from
- 10:33Speaker 9: beginning to end, the building Code, which is incredibly complicated
- 10:36Speaker 9: here in Victoria. I mean, you just don't want one
- 10:38Speaker 9: more regulation. It's it's you know, it's the boiling frog scenario.
- 10:43Speaker 9: One particular new regulation probably won't tip the balance, but
- 10:47Speaker 9: when you take them in concert, it means that people
- 10:50Speaker 9: are basically here just giving up on development. And that's
- 10:52Speaker 9: why Victoria has a massive sort of problem in relation
- 10:56Speaker 9: to housing. Subdivision approvals take forever. Housing approvals take forever.
- 11:00Speaker 9: This is just another straw that helps break the camels
- 11:03Speaker 9: back and it's one of the reasons we have so
- 11:05Speaker 9: much of Australian shutdown mode because everything is being regulated
- 11:09Speaker 9: to death and it's killing our country.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Reader from McSwain, I'm Michael Kroger. Thank you so much
- 11:14Speaker 3: for your time.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Now it's time for lefties losing it, and let's see
- 11:20Speaker 4: what one of our favorite lefties is up to.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Let's hear from.
- 11:24Speaker 4: The reliably clueless or if you prefer, dishonest Joy Reid
- 11:29Speaker 4: here she has the nerve to say that it's the
- 11:31Speaker 4: Democrats who play by the rules.
- 11:34Speaker 3: You know what, this is what the kids call projection.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Well, first of all, Democrats do not play politics the
- 11:43Speaker 1: way Republicans do. The difference between the projects they do not.
- 11:46Speaker 1: They do not. Democrats played by the marquista Queen's barry rules.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I think they do not. They're not rule breakers. They
- 11:53Speaker 1: couldn't even hold out on a government shutdown because eat
- 11:57Speaker 1: of them turn tail and give in. Democrats capitulate and
- 12:02Speaker 1: they try to play by the rules. Republicans don't care
- 12:04Speaker 1: about the rules. They rewrite the rule.
- 12:06Speaker 4: You might have noticed there she was talking with Maury
- 12:08Speaker 4: Povich and incredulous. Maury, he's used to crazy, but not
- 12:13Speaker 4: Joy read levels of crazy, and I guess he wishes
- 12:17Speaker 4: he was back hosting.
- 12:18Speaker 3: His old show. Remember when he just had regular crazy folk.
- 12:22Speaker 11: Okay, okay, in the case of one year old a
- 12:25Speaker 11: Leah Bishop, you are the father. In the case of
- 12:34Speaker 11: four thirty money, Maurice you are the fund.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Oh good times. That was a great show. I mean
- 12:45Speaker 4: that's sort of entertaining.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Crazy. We can get behind.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Now to Jane Fonda and some dude who is married
- 12:52Speaker 4: to a former real housewife of Beverly Hills. Here they
- 12:55Speaker 4: put together a hilarious skit claiming that if the Paramount
- 12:59Speaker 4: warn A this merger goes ahead, it would turn CNN
- 13:03Speaker 4: into a propaganda outlet.
- 13:05Speaker 2: This is Chad Hastings and Lady and Rogers reporting this
- 13:08Speaker 2: news station has just been bought by Paramount.
- 13:11Speaker 7: And tonight we're going to be reporting about the protests
- 13:13Speaker 7: in the street.
- 13:14Speaker 10: Yes, right after the wrong script. Tonight we're going to
- 13:17Speaker 10: be reporting on the parties.
- 13:18Speaker 3: In the street.
- 13:20Speaker 8: Parties that sounds like fun. That's right.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Citizens have been partying in the street for months now.
- 13:27Speaker 12: Actually, let's cut.
- 13:28Speaker 2: To Tony with the weather.
- 13:29Speaker 12: Begs Chad, the globe is getting warmer, and he doesn't
- 13:32Speaker 12: love warm weather. Back to I guess it's time to
- 13:35Speaker 12: break out my speedo.
- 13:37Speaker 3: This is insane.
- 13:38Speaker 8: Now let's go to Christine Hucklesby with the money report.
- 13:40Speaker 10: The economy is great?
- 13:43Speaker 3: Back to you, what has.
- 13:44Speaker 8: Happened to this network?
- 13:45Speaker 13: This is wrong?
- 13:46Speaker 7: I don't I'm not a company.
- 13:49Speaker 14: Like Wow, angry women so unattractive here, let me help
- 13:54Speaker 14: you up.
- 13:54Speaker 10: There you go, Bye Wow.
- 13:57Speaker 14: And now back to the party and the.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Fantastic work there. Jane really some of her best work.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Only we don't have to imagine CNN being an unscrupulous
- 14:09Speaker 4: propaganda outlet.
- 14:10Speaker 3: There have been that for many years, and we haven't
- 14:13Speaker 3: forgotten this.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Remember CNN calling the BLM rights a mostly peaceful protest,
- 14:20Speaker 4: even as they burned down dire city blocks, attacked people,
- 14:25Speaker 4: caused around two billion dollars worth of damage.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Remember that.
- 14:28Speaker 4: Now I have some bad news Sunny Houston has been reading.
- 14:32Speaker 4: She can certainly read, but the comprehension is perhaps not
- 14:37Speaker 4: what it needs to be.
- 14:38Speaker 15: I just read that this war is estimated to have
- 14:41Speaker 15: already cost US fifty billion dollars fifty billion dollars, which
- 14:46Speaker 15: is more money than this country has spent.
- 14:48Speaker 10: Since World War II. And then in twenty.
- 14:50Speaker 15: Twenty seven, this president is asking for one point five
- 14:55Speaker 15: trillion dollars for defense, which would be more money spent
- 15:00Speaker 15: in modern history on war.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Fifty billion.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Fifty billion is more money than America has spent since.
- 15:09Speaker 3: World War II? Is that what she said?
- 15:11Speaker 4: It's not even what America's spent on the Vietnam War.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Let alone the trillions, yes trillions with a tea that
- 15:19Speaker 4: Americas spent on wars in Iraq, and of course there
- 15:24Speaker 4: was also Afghanistan. There was another tea trillions spent was
- 15:28Speaker 4: sunny Houston in a coma during that time.
- 15:31Speaker 3: What an incredible thing to say.
- 15:32Speaker 4: And as I've said plenty times before, she's either frightfully
- 15:36Speaker 4: stupid or lying. There are no other options at this point.
- 15:40Speaker 4: And the same can be said about this next clip.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Watch Democrat presidential hopeful Pete Butchajek do nothing to correct
- 15:48Speaker 4: the crazy hysteria of a constituent who seems to genuinely
- 15:52Speaker 4: think that trans people will be rounded up and put
- 15:55Speaker 4: in camps by the Trump administration. Trans concentration camps. That's
- 16:00Speaker 4: what she thinks is coming.
- 16:02Speaker 16: Every day, I wake up scared because a person I
- 16:06Speaker 16: love is trans, and I'm waiting for the day that
- 16:09Speaker 16: they start banging on doors and taking our trends and
- 16:12Speaker 16: our gay friends and family to concentration camps.
- 16:16Speaker 17: It's horrible that you have to even think about that
- 16:19Speaker 17: kind of fear for somebody you care about. And it's
- 16:22Speaker 17: horrible that so many Americans live in that kind of
- 16:24Speaker 17: fear for themselves and for those they love.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Yeah, they live in that sort of fear because of
- 16:30Speaker 4: Democrats like you. Not only does he not correct her,
- 16:33Speaker 4: who feeds her fear and histeria. Just shameful behavior. It's
- 16:39Speaker 4: from a Democrat who wants to be president. Let's go
- 16:41Speaker 4: to a Democrat who was a president, and gosh, what
- 16:45Speaker 4: wonderful work he did in.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Dividing the country.
- 16:47Speaker 4: You want to see where America's modern race issues started,
- 16:51Speaker 4: then look no further than this guy who has also
- 16:54Speaker 4: done a backflip. Now on the issue of jerry mandarin,
- 16:57Speaker 4: let's hear from Barack Obama.
- 17:00Speaker 12: Rymandering means citizens' voices are being diminished. By voting yes,
- 17:04Speaker 12: you have a chance to do something important, not just
- 17:06Speaker 12: for the Commonwealth, but for our entire country, even a
- 17:10Speaker 12: former president, who are joining together to end jerrymandering and
- 17:15Speaker 12: ensure that our democracy is living up to its founding promise.
- 17:18Speaker 12: By voting yes, you can push back against the Republicans
- 17:22Speaker 12: trying to give themselves an unfair advantage in the midterms,
- 17:25Speaker 12: and we're counting on you to help ensure a reasonable,
- 17:29Speaker 12: transparent redistricting process that honors our ideal of equal representation.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Yep.
- 17:35Speaker 4: What the Democrats have done in Virginia is a genuine
- 17:39Speaker 4: threat to representative democracy. They have taken the fairst state
- 17:43Speaker 4: when it comes to representation and turned it into the
- 17:47Speaker 4: unfairst where a party that is around fifty two percent
- 17:50Speaker 4: of the vote is going to control ninety percent of
- 17:54Speaker 4: the seats.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Let's go back to the issue of race.
- 17:57Speaker 4: And to give you an idea of how racially devised
- 18:00Speaker 4: Evehen toxic the Obama administration was. Let's listen to Ashley
- 18:04Speaker 4: Allison here Fuma Obama White House Senior adviser, and he
- 18:09Speaker 4: is She said the quiet bit out, lad This is
- 18:12Speaker 4: an old clip, but it gives you an idea of
- 18:13Speaker 4: what I'm talking about. She basically said, the black community
- 18:18Speaker 4: sided with OJ Simpson because, after all, he only murdered
- 18:22Speaker 4: a couple of white people.
- 18:24Speaker 18: But it was so racially charged because of what had
- 18:27Speaker 18: happened just before with Rodney King, but also just how
- 18:30Speaker 18: black Americans feel about policing. It's not like OJ Simpson
- 18:35Speaker 18: was the leader of the civil rights movement of his error.
- 18:38Speaker 18: You know, he wasn't a social justice leader, but he
- 18:41Speaker 18: represented something for the black community.
- 18:44Speaker 8: In that moment.
- 18:45Speaker 18: In that trial, particularly because there were two white people
- 18:48Speaker 18: who had been killed, and the history around how black
- 18:51Speaker 18: people have been persecuted during slavery. There were just so
- 18:55Speaker 18: many layers, and I guess I would just close with
- 18:57Speaker 18: this is that there there was racial tension, then there
- 19:01Speaker 18: is racial tension.
- 19:02Speaker 19: Now.
- 19:03Speaker 18: It might not be the backdrop of the Trump campaign,
- 19:06Speaker 18: but until this country is ready to actually have an
- 19:09Speaker 18: honest conversation about the racial dynamics from our origin story
- 19:13Speaker 18: till today, we will always have moments like oj Simpson
- 19:17Speaker 18: that manifest and our country will always be divided if
- 19:20Speaker 18: we don't actually deal with the issue of race.
- 19:23Speaker 4: I think the very last thing Ashley Allison wants is
- 19:26Speaker 4: a true reckoning and honest conversations about race in America.
- 19:30Speaker 4: The grift may be over now to Bill Maer, who,
- 19:34Speaker 4: along with all the other left is, is happy to
- 19:36Speaker 4: lay the boots into Eric Swalwell.
- 19:38Speaker 3: He says, you always knew Eric was a bit creepy, big.
- 19:41Speaker 2: And creepy stuff. Have you been following the Eric Swalwell
- 19:46Speaker 2: case here in California? This is a privery prominent I
- 19:50Speaker 2: think we're all following very prominent democrat. I got to
- 19:53Speaker 2: say we had him on a couple of times. Ask
- 19:56Speaker 2: my staff, I never liked him. I don't have good gaytor,
- 19:59Speaker 2: but I got creepy. I always thought this guy was
- 20:04Speaker 2: a treat I never liked him, and yet so many
- 20:07Speaker 2: Democrats stood by him. And now that we're finding out
- 20:10Speaker 2: that it was such an open secret. You know, I
- 20:13Speaker 2: hear this so many times. You know, Bill Clinton, it
- 20:16Speaker 2: was an open secret in Arkansas.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Only problem is if you go back and watch Eric
- 20:21Speaker 4: Swilwell with Bill Maher.
- 20:24Speaker 3: He gets a pretty sweet run.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Now to Hollywood actress and Hathaway, who has added a
- 20:29Speaker 4: new word to her vocabulary.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Hopefully live and enjoy a life. I want to have
- 20:35Speaker 3: a long, healthy life. In July, I hope so Inala okay.
- 20:39Speaker 3: And that has got her a lot of a lot
- 20:43Speaker 3: of attention.
- 20:44Speaker 4: And she's also now getting Qur'an's on the red carpet.
- 20:50Speaker 20: Because anyway thinking to do that.
- 21:02Speaker 3: She was very appreciative.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Indeed, I wonder if she'd be as gracious if she
- 21:06Speaker 4: was handed a Bible on the red carpet. Now to
- 21:09Speaker 4: a friend of this program, Alex Stein is our second favorite.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Texan appears every Monday.
- 21:15Speaker 14: Now.
- 21:16Speaker 4: He tried to have a debate with a lefty losing
- 21:19Speaker 4: it but got a death threat instead.
- 21:21Speaker 3: I mean, these people are just awful.
- 21:23Speaker 8: But I'm saying I want to live in a meritocracy.
- 21:26Speaker 1: And not in a place that in what in what
- 21:28Speaker 1: way was she given the vice presidentcy.
- 21:30Speaker 8: Because she said that I need to pick a.
- 21:33Speaker 6: Woman by will in fact appoint a pick a woman
- 21:36Speaker 6: to be vice president?
- 21:38Speaker 8: And so what I'm trying to the.
- 21:41Speaker 13: Job and whatever conversation is conversation, watch out for a
- 21:44Speaker 13: hole in the neck.
- 21:45Speaker 19: Thank you, that's funny.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Talking about awful.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Here is an old granny going off about Donald Trump?
- 21:52Speaker 3: What else?
- 21:53Speaker 4: And also, what is it about the left and violence?
- 21:56Speaker 4: They've got a problem?
- 21:58Speaker 2: Oh?
- 21:58Speaker 5: Happy, now he did it. He dropped those bombs.
- 22:03Speaker 8: I hope you.
- 22:04Speaker 5: Are listening, you, maga maggots. I cannot standamn.
- 22:12Speaker 4: She's a charming ladies and she she's almost as charming
- 22:16Speaker 4: as this next TikToker.
- 22:17Speaker 21: I want him d e a d head on a
- 22:20Speaker 21: steak in debt. I want him to trap through the streets. Okay,
- 22:25Speaker 21: I want him. I want his astract, I want him
- 22:28Speaker 21: cut it. I want his entrails in the road, a
- 22:32Speaker 21: whole civilization wolf, I want them. I do I do
- 22:40Speaker 21: who Jules, you shouldn't see that.
- 22:42Speaker 8: I don't care. I want to.
- 22:45Speaker 4: And talking about the left and violunteers and elementary school
- 22:50Speaker 4: teacher sharing his violent fantasies about Trump with the world. Now,
- 22:55Speaker 4: just imagine this creep teaching your kids.
- 22:59Speaker 19: People are saying it's gonna happen this weekend, and they're
- 23:01Speaker 19: buying champagne or whatever. But I want to remind everybody
- 23:04Speaker 19: that we need to make sure that they don't bury it.
- 23:06Speaker 19: We need to hang it out front of the White
- 23:08Speaker 19: House for the birds to pick clean. And then once
- 23:10Speaker 19: it's picked clean, we need to bronze it and install
- 23:13Speaker 19: it over the entry way to the White House so
- 23:16Speaker 19: that the next person who gets in there knows what's
- 23:18Speaker 19: coming for them. And if they try to take it down,
- 23:20Speaker 19: they can.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Replace it to Florida. Now where changes to the food
- 23:24Speaker 3: stamp program. I'm leaving some users.
- 23:27Speaker 4: I write they can't even get free ice cream anymore.
- 23:30Speaker 22: No Sodas, you can't get coffee creamer, you can't even
- 23:35Speaker 22: get ice cream. Hey, that's you know, that's wrong.
- 23:41Speaker 8: What am I gonna do?
- 23:43Speaker 22: You know? I haint that that's wrong. Somebody needs to
- 23:46Speaker 22: do something about this. This get Yeah, no, it's affecting everybody,
- 23:50Speaker 22: you know it. I eat healthy, I love my fruit.
- 23:54Speaker 22: You know I love my sweets.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Still to Colm web say the best lefties for our
- 24:00Speaker 4: to the break plus all the latest from the US Army.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Horowitz is up next. Welcome back.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Let's now hear from some lefties in the wild terribly
- 24:21Speaker 4: triggered by comments made about the Iranian regime. Of course,
- 24:25Speaker 4: they see any criticism of the murderous mad mullers of
- 24:28Speaker 4: Iran as a sign of white supremacy because they assumed
- 24:33Speaker 4: the comments were made by Donald Trump, but the comments
- 24:36Speaker 4: were actually made by Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and Joe Biden.
- 24:41Speaker 4: This is a great insight into the mind of the
- 24:44Speaker 4: rusted on lefty.
- 24:46Speaker 13: Iran is a destabilizing, dangerous force in the Middle East.
- 24:50Speaker 13: Do you agree with him on that?
- 24:51Speaker 1: At least?
- 24:52Speaker 13: No, we would be able to totally obliterate them. That's
- 24:56Speaker 13: a terrible thing to say. But those people who run
- 25:00Speaker 13: iron need to understand that. What do you think he
- 25:02Speaker 13: meant by saying those people, well.
- 25:04Speaker 16: His supremacy, his subhuman people of He's becoming very delusional
- 25:09Speaker 16: and honestly showing a little bit of signs of dementia.
- 25:12Speaker 13: Is this something someone with dementia would say?
- 25:14Speaker 8: Absolutely?
- 25:15Speaker 13: Had Kamala actually won the election, you think we would
- 25:18Speaker 13: even be in this.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Absolutely not if he had a kind soul. I think
- 25:22Speaker 3: anyone can be beautiful. But he's not beautiful. He's not
- 25:25Speaker 3: beautiful inside er art out.
- 25:27Speaker 10: He's a horrible person.
- 25:30Speaker 4: And now watch the reactions as Caitlin Bennett tells them
- 25:34Speaker 4: the inconvenient truth. The comments they found so abhorrent the
- 25:38Speaker 4: Common State deemed a sign of white supremacy and madness
- 25:42Speaker 4: were actually made by the Democrats they voted for.
- 25:46Speaker 3: The man truly is insane.
- 25:48Speaker 13: Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris said all of that, not
- 25:51Speaker 13: Donald Trump.
- 25:52Speaker 10: Really, Yes, that makes me very sick.
- 25:54Speaker 8: Are you serious they or not?
- 25:55Speaker 2: Yes? They are?
- 25:56Speaker 3: That's ridiculous.
- 25:57Speaker 13: Yeah, no, yeah, I gotcha.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Good for you. You never heard them say this though, No
- 26:02Speaker 3: I haven't.
- 26:03Speaker 13: That was a clue from two thousand and eight right
- 26:04Speaker 13: here into it.
- 26:05Speaker 3: I don't you know what? Who can believe what we read?
- 26:08Speaker 13: Did you go to the cops about me? Yeah?
- 26:10Speaker 12: I just wanted to see if you needed a permit?
- 26:11Speaker 13: And I mean to make you cry, right.
- 26:13Speaker 8: But it's shameful.
- 26:14Speaker 13: What's shameful about it? There's nothing.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Wow, they was saying, who was being ugly on the inside,
- 26:24Speaker 4: and ash, let's bring in documentary filmmaker and commentator Ami Horowitz.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Army.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Seems like a lot of these Democrats can't handle the truth.
- 26:37Speaker 23: Yeah, look not interesting, It's not really they can't handle
- 26:39Speaker 23: the truth. The reality is this just reflects what's happened
- 26:44Speaker 23: more broadly within the Democratic Party and that they have
- 26:47Speaker 23: moved to a postcolonial, anti America and anti Western what
- 26:52Speaker 23: was normally fringe positions into mainstream democratic thinking.
- 26:56Speaker 8: And this kind of reflects that. It's also it's that
- 26:58Speaker 8: in a.
- 26:58Speaker 23: Combination of Trump d raizement syndrome. Right, that's really what
- 27:02Speaker 23: it comes down to. Look, you know, let's go over
- 27:06Speaker 23: the highlights of what like they're taking pro running positions.
- 27:10Speaker 8: Right, Let's go over the highlights.
- 27:12Speaker 23: Iran has involved themselves directly or through support. Iran bombed
- 27:19Speaker 23: the Marine Barracks bombing killing two hundred and forty five Marines.
- 27:23Speaker 23: They bombed the Beirut Embassy, a US embassy. They killed
- 27:29Speaker 23: eighty five Jews in the Jews Community Center in Buenos Aires.
- 27:35Speaker 23: They killed the Iraqians certainty based on around killed six
- 27:38Speaker 23: hundred American soldiers not to mention the twelve hundred dead
- 27:41Speaker 23: Jews on October seventh, and also obviously the almost one
- 27:44Speaker 23: hundred thousand Iranians they've killed.
- 27:46Speaker 8: None of that matters to the Democrats.
- 27:48Speaker 23: Okay the Democrats really, I am rarely shocked. Democrats have universally,
- 27:54Speaker 23: the exception of John Fetterman, supported the Irani position over
- 27:59Speaker 23: the US position. Okay, they've literally they've parroted Iranian talking points.
- 28:04Speaker 23: Chris Murphy retweeted a post that said, thankfully Iran is
- 28:10Speaker 23: now transiting the straight of horror moves and what I
- 28:13Speaker 23: Chris Murphy retweeted.
- 28:14Speaker 8: Back, awesome, awesome, he said, yeah.
- 28:17Speaker 23: Okay, rather of Adam Smith, Yeah, Robinson of Adam Smith
- 28:21Speaker 23: of Washington said he trusts the Iranians over Donald Trump.
- 28:26Speaker 23: This is the situation we find ourselves with the Democratic
- 28:29Speaker 23: Party of Visivie Iran and visivir globally, how we wok
- 28:32Speaker 23: at the world?
- 28:34Speaker 4: Well, on the Strait of Hormus, Iran is not respecting
- 28:40Speaker 4: the ceasefire. They have attacked commercial vessels in the strait,
- 28:44Speaker 4: and they are claiming army that the US blockade of
- 28:48Speaker 4: Iranian ports is a breach of the ceasefire.
- 28:51Speaker 3: Deal. How do you see this?
- 28:55Speaker 23: Bullpucky, he's a different word, but I'm going to be
- 28:57Speaker 23: pc for our television audience.
- 29:00Speaker 8: Of course, it was never part of the deal. What
- 29:02Speaker 8: why would just think about it?
- 29:05Speaker 23: Why would Trump give up his single largest leverage point,
- 29:08Speaker 23: right the economic pressure points that he was putting on
- 29:11Speaker 23: Iran for this deal?
- 29:12Speaker 8: Of course he never did.
- 29:13Speaker 23: In fact, part of their reason why he wanted to
- 29:15Speaker 23: keep the the the the the the ceasefire was dependent
- 29:19Speaker 23: on keeping mus open, which is what the US warships
- 29:23Speaker 23: were there to do. So of course that was not
- 29:24Speaker 23: part of the deal. Just another Iranian live that. Of
- 29:26Speaker 23: course Democrats will parrot. Look, people think that time is
- 29:32Speaker 23: working against the president, when in actually it's completely the opposite.
- 29:36Speaker 23: Time is completely against Iran and for the president. First
- 29:39Speaker 23: of all, the president's three more years. He's not a
- 29:40Speaker 23: for reelection. Okay uh.
- 29:42Speaker 8: Secondly, we can handle this financially.
- 29:46Speaker 23: Way, way, way more than the Iranians Cancier aims on, aren't.
- 29:49Speaker 23: I would say they're on the on the cusp of
- 29:51Speaker 23: economic destruction. They're way past the cup. They are well
- 29:53Speaker 23: into Democrat financial destruction. And of course the pressure on
- 29:59Speaker 23: on on the president and the US by the Europeans
- 30:02Speaker 23: and others is far, far less the pressure on the Iranians,
- 30:06Speaker 23: including the people, the countries in their neighborhood and of
- 30:10Speaker 23: course more importantly Chinese who really want this to just
- 30:14Speaker 23: go away. So yeah, they could not be far from
- 30:16Speaker 23: the truth.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Now, we spoke yesterday about Iran's plans to execute a
- 30:22Speaker 4: number of women arrested after protests across the nation. Donald
- 30:26Speaker 4: Trump demanded the women's release in the lead up to
- 30:29Speaker 4: peace negotiations, and there seems to be some positive news
- 30:32Speaker 4: there with that pressure working. Four of the women will
- 30:36Speaker 4: reportedly be released immediately, while another four will serve one
- 30:41Speaker 4: month prison term, So that is some positive news out
- 30:45Speaker 4: of that conflict. Let's talk about this absolute threat to
- 30:49Speaker 4: democracy in Virginia Army, the Gerry Mandarin that would see
- 30:52Speaker 4: a state where the Democrats recorded just a narrow wind
- 30:56Speaker 4: basically have no Republican representation. There's now pressure on Florida
- 31:02Speaker 4: Governor on Dessanta's to give the Democrats a taste of
- 31:05Speaker 4: their own medicine, and those calls are going to only
- 31:08Speaker 4: get louder after this gloating from Hakim Jeffries.
- 31:14Speaker 24: Our message to Florida Republicans is f around and find out.
- 31:19Speaker 4: And now let's hear from the Florida Governor, Rond de Santa's.
- 31:22Speaker 3: He had this to say in response.
- 31:25Speaker 25: Please be my guest. I will pay for you to
- 31:27Speaker 25: come down to Florida and campaign. I'll put you up
- 31:30Speaker 25: in the Florida Governor's mansion, We'll take you fishing, We'll
- 31:34Speaker 25: do all this stuff. There's nothing that could be better
- 31:37Speaker 25: for Republicans in Florida than to see Jeffries, Hakeem Jeffries
- 31:43Speaker 25: everywhere around this state. Voters will not like what they see,
- 31:47Speaker 25: they will not want that type of ideology, and so
- 31:50Speaker 25: the door is open the invitations out there. I don't
- 31:53Speaker 25: think there'd be anything better for the Republican Party of
- 31:56Speaker 25: Florida but to have Jeffries there.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Explain to my audience what this redistricting gerry mandering means,
- 32:05Speaker 4: even as a Virginia court earlier today declared the state's
- 32:09Speaker 4: redistricting vote was actually unconstitutional.
- 32:13Speaker 23: Yeah, so what this is is Okay, first of all,
- 32:16Speaker 23: every ten years after the census, there's what we call redistricting,
- 32:21Speaker 23: which is normal political behavior because there's influencers outflows from
- 32:24Speaker 23: every state. So therefore you have to rebalance the books
- 32:27Speaker 23: essentially to make sure that your representation reflects the population
- 32:32Speaker 23: of your state. Rights, that's normal politicking. Jerry Mandering is
- 32:36Speaker 23: taking that to an extreme right. We was started by
- 32:40Speaker 23: Elbridge Jerry, who was the governor of Massachusetts, as they
- 32:43Speaker 23: took his name Jerry.
- 32:44Speaker 8: Actually name was Gary, but who cares.
- 32:47Speaker 23: A good story, and he redistricted in Massachusetts and it
- 32:50Speaker 23: looked like a salamander. So that's where they get jerry
- 32:54Speaker 23: mandering from. So what essentially means is every district has
- 32:58Speaker 23: the same exact population across the United States, right, and
- 33:01Speaker 23: then you have your number of districts based on the
- 33:04Speaker 23: number of populations you have in your state. What this
- 33:07Speaker 23: does is, let's say you have three districts in your state, right,
- 33:11Speaker 23: just to keep them math easy, and they are three
- 33:13Speaker 23: competitive districts. So what you do is you make one
- 33:17Speaker 23: of those districts a total landslide for your opposition, and
- 33:21Speaker 23: you take the other two districts that make them safe districts,
- 33:24Speaker 23: and you split it out so that you can guarantee
- 33:27Speaker 23: yourself two out of three, and therefore you control the state.
- 33:29Speaker 8: That's what jerry mandering is.
- 33:31Speaker 23: Both sides have done it for many, many years and
- 33:34Speaker 23: I don't like it. It's not good for our democracy.
- 33:37Speaker 23: I think both shids.
- 33:38Speaker 8: To quit it.
- 33:39Speaker 23: But the Democrats, right, the party of democracy. This is
- 33:43Speaker 23: the party that wants to pack the Supreme Court. This
- 33:45Speaker 23: is the party that wants to add DC and Puerto Ricos.
- 33:49Speaker 23: They can institutionalize democratic victory in the Senate for years
- 33:52Speaker 23: to come. Right, So when they keep referencing Texas as
- 33:56Speaker 23: why they're doing this, Well, when Texas we districted sixty
- 34:00Speaker 23: three percent, they redissered it to Now Texas Republicans have
- 34:03Speaker 23: sixty three percent roughly of the of the seats in
- 34:08Speaker 23: the House. But that reflects a fifty eight percent vote,
- 34:12Speaker 23: So fifty eight percent of sixty three not that far apart.
- 34:15Speaker 23: In Virginia, the House vote went fifty one percent to
- 34:20Speaker 23: the Democrats, but now they have ninety percent of the
- 34:24Speaker 23: House seats. That just shows you the difference in extremes between.
- 34:27Speaker 8: The two sides.
- 34:28Speaker 23: So yeah, you can say it was Texas that did this,
- 34:31Speaker 23: I would say, well, before Texas, we had Massachusetts, and we.
- 34:34Speaker 8: Had Oregon, and we had Illinois, and I go on
- 34:37Speaker 8: and on and on. So I'm sick of this. This
- 34:39Speaker 8: is not good.
- 34:40Speaker 23: What we're gonna end up having is every slightly blue
- 34:42Speaker 23: state will become extraordinarily blue and every slightly red state
- 34:45Speaker 23: extraordinary red. Not good for competitive balance. I'm not a
- 34:48Speaker 23: fan of it from either side.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Well, yeah, it's not great for representative democracy. But if
- 34:54Speaker 4: Virginia and other blue states are going to behave in
- 34:57Speaker 4: that manner, then you're going to have to expect the
- 34:59Speaker 4: red states to do the same that their voters will
- 35:02Speaker 4: demand it. Otherwise it makes a complete mockery of the
- 35:05Speaker 4: representative system and the Democrats. What they've done in Virginia
- 35:11Speaker 4: really is quite shameful. Those percentages you said one hundred
- 35:14Speaker 4: percent accurate. They're getting just over fifty percent of the vote,
- 35:18Speaker 4: but ninety percent of the seats figure that out. Now,
- 35:20Speaker 4: to the Southern Poverty Law Center, as we covered that
- 35:24Speaker 4: story last night, they have been indicted for allegedly fundeling
- 35:28Speaker 4: millions to the hate groups they're supposedly fighting. Here is
- 35:33Speaker 4: acting US Attorney General Todd Blanche.
- 35:36Speaker 24: According to the charges and the indictment, the SPLC is
- 35:41Speaker 24: a nonprofit entity that purports to fight weight supremacy and
- 35:46Speaker 24: racial hatred by reporting on extremist groups and conducting research
- 35:49Speaker 24: to inform law enforcement groups with the goal of dismantling
- 35:53Speaker 24: these groups. As the indictment describes, the SPLC was not
- 35:58Speaker 24: dismantling these groups. It was instead manufacturing the extremism it
- 36:03Speaker 24: purports to oppose by paying sources to stoke racial hatred.
- 36:10Speaker 4: I made seems the SBOC paid millions to racist extremists
- 36:15Speaker 4: to spread height that the SBOC then used to get
- 36:19Speaker 4: more donations.
- 36:21Speaker 23: It's great for them because they've raised tens and tens
- 36:23Speaker 23: of millions of dollars.
- 36:24Speaker 8: On the back of this. Yeah, it wasn't They didn't pay.
- 36:28Speaker 23: Again, understand the scope of what we're talking about here.
- 36:30Speaker 23: They were paying neo Nazis the KKK, not thousands of
- 36:35Speaker 23: dollars or hundreds of thousands. By the way, hundred thousands
- 36:38Speaker 23: would have shocked me. Like you said, millions of dollars, okay. Now,
- 36:42Speaker 23: to give you a sense of the Southern Party Law
- 36:44Speaker 23: Center and what they represent, they are a massive bulwark
- 36:47Speaker 23: for the left and Democratic Party when it comes to
- 36:49Speaker 23: race right. In the last since twenty ten, they've been
- 36:53Speaker 23: referenced over seven hundred times by The New York Times
- 36:57Speaker 23: in reference to issues around race, including the Night the
- 37:00Speaker 23: Right Right, which well, I'll get to you in a second. So,
- 37:03Speaker 23: and every time you hear, you know, whenever it's a
- 37:05Speaker 23: terrorist bombing right by bye, by Islam, by Islamic fundamentalists,
- 37:09Speaker 23: you always hear from the Democrats. But white supremacy a much,
- 37:12Speaker 23: much bigger problem in our country. Yeah, break those numbers down.
- 37:15Speaker 23: They all come from the Southern Poverty Law Center, and they're.
- 37:18Speaker 8: All bull crap. Okay, Southern Parvty Law Center.
- 37:22Speaker 23: Not to make this about me, but I do like
- 37:24Speaker 23: make things about me sometimes. Yeah, they have attacked me
- 37:27Speaker 23: a number of times. They've attacked close friends of mine,
- 37:30Speaker 23: Dennis Praeger, David Horowitz. None of these people are streams
- 37:34Speaker 23: in any way, shape or form, uh and family members
- 37:37Speaker 23: of mine. So this to me is a delicious thing
- 37:40Speaker 23: that happened. But look, there's a there's a supply and
- 37:43Speaker 23: demand problem with racism, okay, is that the demand outstripped
- 37:48Speaker 23: the supply. The demand from the left outsp the reality
- 37:51Speaker 23: of the supply in the country.
- 37:52Speaker 8: We don't have.
- 37:53Speaker 23: Racism is not a significant problem in this country, nor
- 37:56Speaker 23: is any Semitism by the way it happens. Okay, but
- 37:59Speaker 23: we're not and semitic country, nor are we a racist country.
- 38:03Speaker 23: But that puts people like Southern Party Los Center out
- 38:06Speaker 23: of business, so they have to create the supply to
- 38:10Speaker 23: feed the demand, and that's what they did, and unite
- 38:13Speaker 23: the right with the single largest example of that where
- 38:16Speaker 23: they made bank on that. They were referenced as leaders
- 38:20Speaker 23: in this over and over again, and raise money on
- 38:22Speaker 23: the back of it as they're literally paying people to
- 38:25Speaker 23: shuttle people to these events. That's how deep and dark
- 38:29Speaker 23: this thing got.
- 38:32Speaker 4: I hope the full calamity is exposed when this trial
- 38:36Speaker 4: gets underway.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Imi Horowitz, Thank you so much for your time.
- 38:40Speaker 8: Always a pleasure.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Still to come all the latest royal and entertainment news,
- 38:46Speaker 4: including the latest star the Left is trying to cancel.
- 38:50Speaker 4: Kinsisco Field is up next.
- 39:02Speaker 3: Welcome back now.
- 39:03Speaker 4: We spoke about this last night, but the controversy is
- 39:06Speaker 4: still raging. Meghan Markle has been branded tasteless and disrespectful
- 39:11Speaker 4: after it was revealed that the outfit from her visit
- 39:14Speaker 4: with Bondai terror attack survivors had been listed and then
- 39:18Speaker 4: quietly removed from an Ai fashion platform. Upon meeting first
- 39:23Speaker 4: responders and survivors of the Bondai terrorist attack last week,
- 39:27Speaker 4: This image was uploaded to the platform one off, promoting
- 39:31Speaker 4: Marco's Bondaie outfit valued at over three thousand dollars.
- 39:35Speaker 3: However, online backlash prompted.
- 39:38Speaker 4: The original post to be removed with this solo photo
- 39:41Speaker 4: of the Duchess waving as she stepped out of her
- 39:44Speaker 4: range drover Jody mid Our's host of the Kinsey Schofield
- 39:48Speaker 4: Unfiltered podcast Kinsey Schofield Kinsey. Is this a Megan Markles
- 39:53Speaker 4: stuff up or is it one of her staff?
- 39:56Speaker 3: I mean, is someone getting sacked for this?
- 40:00Speaker 10: Well, nobody's getting sacked for this.
- 40:02Speaker 14: It seems like people flee before they're fired when it
- 40:06Speaker 14: comes to Harry and Meghan. But this isn't a one
- 40:08Speaker 14: off mistake. This is a pattern we've observed with the Sussexes.
- 40:12Speaker 14: Whether it's Megan, Markele or her team. Someone thought it
- 40:15Speaker 14: was appropriate to monetize a moment with terror attack survivors
- 40:19Speaker 14: and victims, and that's where the public draws a really
- 40:22Speaker 14: hard line. You can't blend humanitarian optics with influencer behavior
- 40:27Speaker 14: and expect no backlash. Quietly deleting it just confirms they
- 40:31Speaker 14: knew it crossed the line. And for me and for
- 40:34Speaker 14: a lot of other people, too little, too late.
- 40:38Speaker 4: Well, it's a pretty obvious mistake to be making.
- 40:41Speaker 3: You've got to say. Now, it's been revealed that.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Actress Sydney Sweeney's role in the upcoming Devil Wears Prada
- 40:48Speaker 4: two sequel will scrap due to creative decisions. She only
- 40:52Speaker 4: had a minor role at the start of the film,
- 40:56Speaker 4: but it was reportedly cut because it did not work
- 40:59Speaker 4: stra actually with the rest of the film, Kidsy, do
- 41:02Speaker 4: you buy that explanation or has this got to do
- 41:04Speaker 4: with the blowback from her American Eagle campaign?
- 41:09Speaker 14: You know, I suspect it has more to do with
- 41:11Speaker 14: the overall rumor that Sweeney is a conservative, which is
- 41:14Speaker 14: not a very popular club in Hollywood or in the
- 41:17Speaker 14: fashion industry. But the studio claims it's just story related editing.
- 41:22Speaker 14: Films get reshaped in post production all the time, and
- 41:25Speaker 14: smaller roles are usually the first to end up on
- 41:28Speaker 14: the cutting room floor. But Sydney is a bankable name
- 41:32Speaker 14: right now, so if anything, I hope it was about
- 41:35Speaker 14: story structure and not some sort of punishment.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Now.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Staying with the film, some have deemed a scene racist
- 41:44Speaker 4: because it includes a nerdy character named Jin Chow played
- 41:50Speaker 4: by Asian American actress.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Let's have a look at the scene. Hey, I'm Jin Chow.
- 41:54Speaker 3: I'm your new assistant. Oh, I was wondering about that.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Nice to meet you. I was an intern this morning.
- 41:59Speaker 8: But when a desk opens up, the intern's get a
- 42:01Speaker 8: chance to interview.
- 42:02Speaker 3: And guess what, Nobody wanted to.
- 42:04Speaker 13: Work in your department because it's not actual fashion.
- 42:06Speaker 3: So I just like got it. Isn't that cool? Very
- 42:09Speaker 3: you don't want me?
- 42:10Speaker 10: I didn't say that.
- 42:11Speaker 13: If you don't want me, you can interview someone else.
- 42:13Speaker 3: That's totally fine. I don't I did go to Yale
- 42:15Speaker 3: three point eighty six.
- 42:16Speaker 13: She leads a print of the whim poofs and my
- 42:17Speaker 13: act score was thirty six on the very first high.
- 42:19Speaker 13: But no, you seem great.
- 42:20Speaker 3: I'm happy to have you, Kinsey.
- 42:23Speaker 4: Do you think that character the saying? Do you see
- 42:26Speaker 4: any problem with it? I've got to say, I'm not
- 42:28Speaker 4: saying any problems. I'm a little bit old, but I'm
- 42:30Speaker 4: not saying any problems.
- 42:32Speaker 10: Yeah, bored a lot of overreacting here.
- 42:34Speaker 14: I mean, her name was mistakenly believed to have been
- 42:37Speaker 14: Chin Chow, which caused a lot of trouble online. But no,
- 42:42Speaker 14: I what is there?
- 42:46Speaker 10: Why are they triggered?
- 42:47Speaker 14: Because She's smart, adorable, cute, kind of anxious any I
- 42:53Speaker 14: mean that describes any in turn, no matter what their
- 42:56Speaker 14: background is. So I think that this is must be
- 42:59Speaker 14: some sort of misunderstanding. But I'm like, no, that little
- 43:02Speaker 14: girl's cute, and you know what, I've never seen her before.
- 43:04Speaker 14: This role will change her life, So just sit down,
- 43:07Speaker 14: let her have her moment.
- 43:09Speaker 4: Absolutely, Na and Hathaway Star of the Devils Father too.
- 43:14Speaker 3: We just saw it there.
- 43:15Speaker 4: She's raised some eyebrows by incorporating this word into her repertoire.
- 43:21Speaker 13: Hopefully live or and enjoy a life.
- 43:24Speaker 10: I want to have a long, healthy life in July,
- 43:26Speaker 10: I hope so.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Insha.
- 43:29Speaker 4: I indeed, kinsy, that was interesting choice, and I showed
- 43:34Speaker 4: before a fan gave her a Koran on the red carpet.
- 43:39Speaker 14: I mean, I feel like this is kind of associated
- 43:42Speaker 14: with what we were talking about with Sidney Sweeney. When
- 43:45Speaker 14: in Hathaway uses a phrase like that, it raises eyebrows.
- 43:48Speaker 10: Because Hollywood picks and.
- 43:49Speaker 14: Chooses which cultures it treats as sacred. There's a real
- 43:53Speaker 14: double standard here. Some traditions get handled with extreme care,
- 43:57Speaker 14: others get treated like punchlines are props. If you think
- 44:01Speaker 14: about Christianity and just overall having conservative values. Audiences are
- 44:08Speaker 14: going to notice things like this. I'm glad you're pointing
- 44:10Speaker 14: it out.
- 44:12Speaker 3: Now.
- 44:12Speaker 4: American country music star Alan Langley is the latest celebrity
- 44:17Speaker 4: the deranged left are trying to cancel after it was
- 44:20Speaker 4: revealed that she follows the Charlie kirkshow on TikTok and she.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Is going to be doing a duet with.
- 44:28Speaker 4: Morgan Wollan, who's also known to be conservative. And these
- 44:32Speaker 4: two are the two biggest country music stars in the world. Kinsey,
- 44:36Speaker 4: it's not a surprise they're collaborating.
- 44:39Speaker 3: But tell me about this latest outrage.
- 44:42Speaker 14: Well, first of all, I can say I don't really
- 44:44Speaker 14: think anybody that's complaining is their demo, so I feel
- 44:47Speaker 14: like they're in a safe space.
- 44:49Speaker 10: But do you remember when.
- 44:51Speaker 14: It was okay to be friends with people you might
- 44:53Speaker 14: disagree with, and curiosity was a sign of intelligence. This
- 44:58Speaker 14: is the modern celebrity mind field. Ella is being criticized
- 45:02Speaker 14: not for her work, which is genius, but for who
- 45:05Speaker 14: she follows. And at some point audiences have to decide
- 45:09Speaker 14: if they're judging art or policing social media. Right now,
- 45:12Speaker 14: the line is very blurry, but I don't really think
- 45:16Speaker 14: it's going to have a negative effect on either one
- 45:18Speaker 14: of these two. I think they're going to be just fine.
- 45:22Speaker 4: Well, choosing Texas, her latest big hit was number one art,
- 45:26Speaker 4: so I don't think she really cares.
- 45:28Speaker 3: What if you.
- 45:29Speaker 14: Rita left this is your first favorite Texan because I'm
- 45:32Speaker 14: a Texan, So Alex is your second?
- 45:34Speaker 10: Who's your first favorite Texan?
- 45:36Speaker 4: Well, I can't reveal that because you're equal second to
- 45:40Speaker 4: You and Alex are up there together, but you're always
- 45:44Speaker 4: in California. I don't even think of you as true
- 45:47Speaker 4: as true Texan.
- 45:48Speaker 3: You've got to move back.
- 45:49Speaker 10: I'm wearing Cowboy.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Well it helps, that helps a little bit.
- 45:54Speaker 14: Now.
- 45:55Speaker 4: A clip has gone viral of Mariah Carey struggling to
- 45:59Speaker 4: hit those high notes while practicing for her performance.
- 46:08Speaker 3: If you look inside your.
- 46:13Speaker 4: Ah kNs, at least she's singing. It's not just a
- 46:16Speaker 4: backing track. She doesn't seem to be using auto tune
- 46:20Speaker 4: or it's not working there. She's at least trying to
- 46:24Speaker 4: put in a performance. Has the voice gone though, Let's be.
- 46:26Speaker 14: Honest, we don't know the circumstances here. I mean, I
- 46:32Speaker 14: truly haven't heard her sing live in such a long time.
- 46:35Speaker 14: But like to your point, I do appreciate and I
- 46:38Speaker 14: celebrate the fact that she's.
- 46:39Speaker 10: Given it or all.
- 46:41Speaker 14: But you know, if I were her, I'd sit back,
- 46:44Speaker 14: I'd look at all the trophies on my shelf. I'd
- 46:46Speaker 14: look at the list of all the successful songs I'd
- 46:49Speaker 14: contributed to writing, and I'd just say, I'm gonna let
- 46:53Speaker 14: Sabrina Carpenter or whoever enjoy the limelight, and I'm just
- 46:58Speaker 14: going to enjoy all of my piles of money that
- 47:01Speaker 14: I've accumulated over the years. I don't know if we
- 47:04Speaker 14: need if this is what we're getting, I don't know
- 47:06Speaker 14: if that needs to be on tour.
- 47:09Speaker 4: Well, the same thing happened with Whitney right at the end.
- 47:13Speaker 4: The voice went and she was getting booed at some concerts,
- 47:17Speaker 4: and yeah, you don't want the legends to be remembered
- 47:20Speaker 4: that way, go out on top now the king of
- 47:24Speaker 4: pop talking about legends. Michael Jackson is the latest musical
- 47:27Speaker 4: star to be remembered in a musical motion picture, but
- 47:31Speaker 4: the reviews have not been good. The film, which stars
- 47:35Speaker 4: his nephew Jaafar, sits at a measly thirty four percent
- 47:39Speaker 4: on Rotten tomatoes can see. One of the criticisms of
- 47:42Speaker 4: the film has been the decision not to include the
- 47:46Speaker 4: child abuse allegations that rock the latter part of Jackson's career.
- 47:52Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean, I even heard Paris Jackson kind of
- 47:56Speaker 14: hinting at this and video online suggesting like, look, I'm
- 48:01Speaker 14: really not associated with it. I understand that someone else
- 48:04Speaker 14: has painted a very you know, a very different picture
- 48:07Speaker 14: from the reality, kind of hinting at the scandals of
- 48:09Speaker 14: the past. But you can't tell the story of Michael
- 48:12Speaker 14: Jackson without addressing the most controversial chapters. We expect transparency,
- 48:19Speaker 14: not selective storytelling.
- 48:20Speaker 10: There's no happily ever after here.
- 48:23Speaker 14: And when you omit something that significant and undermines the
- 48:26Speaker 14: credibility of the entire project.
- 48:28Speaker 10: I ask myself.
- 48:29Speaker 14: Constantly if I believe those claims, you know, like, that's
- 48:33Speaker 14: something that I still, you know, am frustrated and worried about.
- 48:38Speaker 14: You cannot leave that out of a movie about this
- 48:40Speaker 14: man's life.
- 48:43Speaker 3: Absolutely, I agree. I'm with you.
- 48:46Speaker 4: I don't have a definitive position on what I believe happened.
- 48:52Speaker 4: I've heard both sides, and both sides I've got some
- 48:55Speaker 4: compelling points, But you can't make a motion picture like
- 48:58Speaker 4: that and not included. Even if you take his family's
- 49:02Speaker 4: approach that these allegations weren't true and show that side
- 49:06Speaker 4: of it or stay somewhere in the middle, you can't
- 49:09Speaker 4: just ignore a massive part of history that.
- 49:12Speaker 3: We're all aware of already.
- 49:14Speaker 4: Kinsisco Field, always a pleasure, Thanks for your time tonight,
- 49:17Speaker 4: and that's it from me, But don't go anywhere.
- 49:20Speaker 3: Newsnight is coming up next.
