- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, everyone, It's Adam Kaplan and Andrew to Checko inside
- 0:12Speaker 1: the Birds Thursday, Andrew to check O. Good to see you,
- 0:16Speaker 1: my friend. We just did the pro football report for
- 0:21Speaker 1: friends at WBCB. Good to see you, man.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Good to see you too. Look, I'm gonna try and
- 0:25Speaker 2: pinch hit for Jeff here, big.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Right right motion. Jeff will be back. We'll do the
- 0:30Speaker 1: we'll do the the pregame show with myself, Jeff and
- 0:33Speaker 1: Greg Cosell. Will do that over the weekend. But first
- 0:36Speaker 1: of all, Andrew, it's Cowboys week. Yes, it's it's the
- 0:39Speaker 1: rematch on Sunday at four pm Eastern and for twenty
- 0:44Speaker 1: five pm Eastern. He guys, we're of the Kelly Greens
- 0:46Speaker 1: on the road, which is so cool, bizarre, you know
- 0:48Speaker 1: of itself, Nick Sirianni. By the way, Andrew five or
- 0:51Speaker 1: four versus Dallas, he's one of the last three meetings. So Andrew,
- 0:54Speaker 1: let's get to it. Man, it's Dallas week. We'll get
- 0:58Speaker 1: to the injury report in a second, just as an overview,
- 1:01Speaker 1: because you know Dallas won. They won their game against
- 1:04Speaker 1: the Raiders on the road. They're four to five and one.
- 1:07Speaker 1: What are your thoughts about the Cowboys coming to this game.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Where they're at.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Now, they look pretty good. They put up thirty three
- 1:12Speaker 2: points against the Raiders. You look at the opponent and
- 1:15Speaker 2: you have to also take that into account. But they
- 1:17Speaker 2: have about five different players now almost half the defense.
- 1:21Speaker 2: You have savone Ravel who's coming back. You have Demarvi
- 1:24Speaker 2: and Overshown who's a nice pass rusher, Malik Hooker, and
- 1:28Speaker 2: then of course the two trade acquisitions in Quinnin Williams
- 1:31Speaker 2: and Logan Wilson that weren't All of those players weren't
- 1:34Speaker 2: available when the last time the Eagles played the Cowboys.
- 1:37Speaker 2: So it's still a porous defense. They're still trying to
- 1:39Speaker 2: find their way, but they do have some different pieces
- 1:42Speaker 2: there that I think present a little bit different of
- 1:45Speaker 2: a challenge this time around.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I agree with you. All right, let's get to the
- 1:47Speaker 1: injury report. All right, So on it Andrew cam Jurgens,
- 1:51Speaker 1: but not for the knee. The knee is off of it.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Now we know what the injury is, a concussion. See,
- 1:57Speaker 1: the key is he's going to have to get cleared
- 1:59Speaker 1: before they try on Saturday, after the walkthrough. I mean,
- 2:03Speaker 1: he's gonna have to get clear by then. So you
- 2:06Speaker 1: got that, so now we know, but at least the
- 2:08Speaker 1: knee Ander is off the injured report. Lane Johnson obviously
- 2:12Speaker 1: with the spring Foot's not gonna play. Fred Johnson will
- 2:15Speaker 1: fill in. Let let's get to the definitely offensive line
- 2:17Speaker 1: because it's really interesting. Uh, we'll get to the transaction
- 2:22Speaker 1: with mileson in a couple of minutes. But okay, so
- 2:26Speaker 1: what would happen now if Jargons is out? We know
- 2:29Speaker 1: it's Toth, Well, would it be Dickerson back up Tooth?
- 2:34Speaker 1: Or Ken? Because Kennell really is barely it's barely been active.
- 2:37Speaker 1: What are your thoughts on who the backup center would be?
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I guess in game it would be Drew
- 2:43Speaker 2: Kendall because Jeff Stoutlond historically doesn't like to alter multiple positions,
- 2:47Speaker 2: so Ken will be. But depending on the on the
- 2:50Speaker 2: flow of the game, I could see them maybe sliding
- 2:53Speaker 2: landing over Landon is very good center. He can there's
- 2:57Speaker 2: not much he can't do from the interior position. But
- 3:00Speaker 2: I think the simple answer would be Drew kendall.
- 3:04Speaker 1: All. Right now, right tackle Fred Johnson. We know that
- 3:07Speaker 1: he's filling in for Lane Johnson, So the back of
- 3:11Speaker 1: would be Matt Pryor. Here's the question, assuming Kendall is
- 3:15Speaker 1: active on Sunday, did we see him get I thought
- 3:20Speaker 1: we saw some left guard stops? Am I correct? In
- 3:23Speaker 1: training camp? Do you remember?
- 3:25Speaker 2: I think he was mostly on the right side?
- 3:27Speaker 1: Was the right? Oh? Okay?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Primarily?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, who's the backup left guard in the game
- 3:36Speaker 1: on Sunday if Toath is starting at center? Prior got
- 3:45Speaker 1: a little. I saw it, but man, they stopped doing it.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I don't know where they go.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Yeah, they seem to like him on the right side,
- 3:52Speaker 2: but in this situation, you may have to go prior
- 3:55Speaker 2: just so you're not toggling multiple positions. Then you're asking uh,
- 4:00Speaker 2: someone else to play left guard, and maybe like let's say,
- 4:03Speaker 2: let's say, for example, Brett to to play left guard,
- 4:05Speaker 2: and then you're asking someone else to come in cold
- 4:07Speaker 2: and play center or even sliding landing over it. It's
- 4:11Speaker 2: just it's kind of a mess. There's no real easy
- 4:13Speaker 2: answer here.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and if you look at the press squad, there's
- 4:16Speaker 1: no as ready to play Jake Majors as a young
- 4:18Speaker 1: journeyman who's really not been a fact, he's never really played.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Holland Pierce, who's Oh, they also have.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Joey Lampkin, Willie Lampkin. By the way, his and I
- 4:26Speaker 2: are still twenty one day practice window I think expires
- 4:29Speaker 2: November twenty seventh for them.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Okay, so they have more time. It would be because
- 4:34Speaker 1: he's never played in an NFL game. It would be fascinating
- 4:36Speaker 1: if somehow they activated him and he becomes like this
- 4:40Speaker 1: good quality backup guard. But he could also he's been
- 4:43Speaker 1: crushery in any way with it that it's truly interesting him.
- 4:47Speaker 1: But they really want to get this to the off
- 4:48Speaker 1: season where he could really show what he can do.
- 4:50Speaker 1: So the good thing is Andrew speak of the injury
- 4:53Speaker 1: report and who's off of it. Dickerson's off it with
- 4:55Speaker 1: the quaterceps, Stein's off it with the ol Blake and
- 4:57Speaker 1: Nold Smith triceps. At least they're not on the report.
- 5:01Speaker 1: So really, right now, it's just to me Jurgons. That's
- 5:05Speaker 1: the way. The only guys who didn't work on Wednesday
- 5:09Speaker 1: were Jurgens and Lanes, So we'll see what happens now.
- 5:12Speaker 1: The transactions were interesting. They worked out all around the
- 5:15Speaker 1: enforcer Zach Pascal on Tuesday, didn't sign him, but remember
- 5:19Speaker 1: Johnny Wilson, you know what Andrew, we haven't talked about
- 5:22Speaker 1: it in months. I gotta say they miss him as
- 5:24Speaker 1: a blocking receiver.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I saw Johnny Wilson a couple of weeks ago. He
- 5:28Speaker 2: was at one of the Friday practices. It was good
- 5:30Speaker 2: to see him. We asked Will Shipley about him. Johnny
- 5:33Speaker 2: and Will are pretty good friends. We asked him about
- 5:35Speaker 2: that on the WBCB show. Yeah. I mean, if you
- 5:38Speaker 2: look back at Nick Sirianni's offenses over his time in Philadelphia,
- 5:42Speaker 2: he tends to look for that gritty, grimy blocking receiver
- 5:46Speaker 2: who's willing to do the dirty work. Whether it's Zach
- 5:48Speaker 2: Pascal Alamide, z A Kiyas, they think they have that,
- 5:51Speaker 2: and Darius Kober at least that's the vision that they
- 5:54Speaker 2: have for him. He's a big guy, and Nick Sirianni
- 5:56Speaker 2: likes his blocking prowess, so that's something that they covered
- 5:59Speaker 2: in the open. It's interesting that they that they worked
- 6:01Speaker 2: him out.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you would think if if they thought he could
- 6:04Speaker 1: still help them, they'd sign to the practice squad and
- 6:06Speaker 1: to see how he does. But we'll see what happens
- 6:08Speaker 1: going forward in future weeks. And as I hinted on
- 6:11Speaker 1: a football for on Tuesday, the Eagles were going to
- 6:13Speaker 1: activate Miles hitting to the twenty one day window. They
- 6:15Speaker 1: did that on Wednesday. Just be careful, folks, he's never
- 6:19Speaker 1: been he's never practiced before in the regular season when
- 6:22Speaker 1: you were played. Obviously, he's a rookie. He had a
- 6:24Speaker 1: back injury. They got they just got to see what
- 6:26Speaker 1: they have. They've got twenty one days from Wednesday to
- 6:28Speaker 1: see if he can help them. Now he's a guy
- 6:31Speaker 1: Andrew I could see if he looks really good in practice,
- 6:35Speaker 1: they activate him because they're running out of linemen here.
- 6:38Speaker 1: With Lane's injury. There's no guarante he's going to come
- 6:40Speaker 1: back this season. So let's see what happens with Miles Hinton.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Who's who's a left tackle, and this is the guy
- 6:47Speaker 1: they wanted to develop.
- 6:49Speaker 2: You know what's interesting is sue O Pett is no
- 6:51Speaker 2: longer on the practice squad. He would have been a
- 6:53Speaker 2: logical choice had he been around to be elevated on
- 6:55Speaker 2: to this game.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Totally forgot that they cut him last week. In fact,
- 7:00Speaker 1: was he gone after He might have been gone after
- 7:01Speaker 1: a couple of days.
- 7:03Speaker 2: He I think he lasted You might be right. I
- 7:05Speaker 2: don't know that he quite lasted a week.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's just I've not seen this kind of
- 7:10Speaker 1: practice shuffle. Practice got shuffled by how he ever, this
- 7:13Speaker 1: is even for him. This is a lot I don't
- 7:15Speaker 1: quite understand it.
- 7:16Speaker 2: But there's been a few players that have lasted the
- 7:19Speaker 2: full season on the practice squad. I think E. J. Jenkins,
- 7:23Speaker 2: Andre Sam, Kyle McCord. There's some of the only ones
- 7:28Speaker 2: that come to mind.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Actually with the international player, how do you say, Felix.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Yeah, uh luke, Felix full wallow.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Right, here's one for here's a question for you. Because
- 7:41Speaker 1: they've got there, they've got their Pupmer Turner clearly in
- 7:44Speaker 1: Xavier Gibson Covey, he's still not he's not he's has
- 7:50Speaker 1: he been active for a game this year? I don't
- 7:52Speaker 1: recall it.
- 7:52Speaker 2: No, he's been on there. Actually, he's another guy who's
- 7:54Speaker 2: been on the practice squad since week one.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Okay, yes, I'm looking at my chart. Yes, one hundred
- 8:00Speaker 1: percent correct. He was waved, he cleared, and he got
- 8:04Speaker 1: signed to the practice squad from remember he got waved
- 8:06Speaker 1: by the Rams, he cleared the Egal sign to the
- 8:08Speaker 1: practice squad week one. I just I mean, I know
- 8:12Speaker 1: Covey did did really well, but I guess he could
- 8:14Speaker 1: be an emergency guy obviously if if Gibson gets hurt,
- 8:19Speaker 1: they're be an emergency guy. But it's a shame. I
- 8:22Speaker 1: I find it interesting that they decided not to let
- 8:25Speaker 1: him be the guy and they had Gibs in it.
- 8:27Speaker 1: That that one. I think about it as a surprise
- 8:30Speaker 1: to me. But he looks good so far, right, I
- 8:31Speaker 1: mean he's been fine.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Yeah. I think maybe they like his juice and maybe
- 8:36Speaker 2: ability as a as a depth receiver more that that's
- 8:39Speaker 2: the only thing that I can think of. He's a
- 8:40Speaker 2: little bit more explosive, and I mean they both have
- 8:43Speaker 2: a lot of experience in doing it, so it doesn't
- 8:45Speaker 2: come down.
- 8:46Speaker 1: To that, correct. Yeah, Oh yeah, Look Covey was the
- 8:49Speaker 1: best at one year.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Hey it's Jeff Mosher. And if you have a family

- 11:31Speaker 1: H O. Other thing, I'm just looking at any other
- 11:34Speaker 1: injury potential issues.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Heremited with this. That's the ad.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Okay, actually I'm looking at my chart. Yeah, that's the ad.
- 11:41Speaker 1: It's a shoulder Andrew This is new for him. I'm
- 11:46Speaker 1: looking at his entire cities and he was not listed
- 11:48Speaker 1: with a shoulder injury at all with the Dolphins. He
- 11:51Speaker 1: did works on on Wednesday. We'll see where Thursday and
- 11:54Speaker 1: Friday look. But yeah, he's obviously been incredible so far.
- 11:59Speaker 1: But the big thing for me is Jackerson off the
- 12:02Speaker 1: injured report. I know he's had a number of injuries.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Stein Havy oblique and Nolan Smith is that that's that's
- 12:08Speaker 1: good well. And by the way, we'll see going forward
- 12:11Speaker 1: if they playing more snaps. You know, he hasn't been
- 12:13Speaker 1: back for very long. I'll be interested to see. I
- 12:16Speaker 1: know Cafangio is not a bit. He doesn't play a
- 12:18Speaker 1: lot of guys. BG's the fourth. He did get a
- 12:20Speaker 1: handful of snaps. That's one thing I'm interested to see
- 12:23Speaker 1: going ford Injrewy does VIC because he's he's not Jim
- 12:27Speaker 1: Shorts with with shuffling like Shorts would play like five guys.
- 12:29Speaker 1: He don't do that. I'll be interest to see if
- 12:31Speaker 1: Nolan actually gets more snaps this week.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Vic actually said that. I think it was his
- 12:36Speaker 2: year with the San Francisco forty nine ers where they
- 12:38Speaker 2: went the whole season with three edge rushers. Obviously that's
- 12:42Speaker 2: not the norm, not idea. He doesn't, he doesn't. It
- 12:46Speaker 2: just kind of underscores what you were just saying that
- 12:48Speaker 2: doesn't typically deploy a hefty rotation there. So now they're
- 12:53Speaker 2: at four and josh Usche for the second week in
- 12:55Speaker 2: a row, hasn't played any defensive snaps.
- 12:59Speaker 1: All right, let's get to the Cowboys injury report. So
- 13:02Speaker 1: the only injury report of note that they have, and
- 13:05Speaker 1: he was added Prescott, Dak Prescott. He has amp injury.
- 13:09Speaker 1: He did participate in the walkthrough Wednesday. There's been no
- 13:13Speaker 1: worry as of now that he's not going to play,
- 13:16Speaker 1: but he's something to watch as we go forward. Now,
- 13:18Speaker 1: you mentioned Demarvin Overshowing returned last week started by the
- 13:21Speaker 1: way versus the Raiders. He said, the worst lot three
- 13:23Speaker 1: major knee injuries. He's such a good football player. Good
- 13:27Speaker 1: for him that he's healthy. Revel, as you mentioned, he
- 13:30Speaker 1: played nineteen staffs versus the Raiders. Trayvon Diggs. They don't
- 13:33Speaker 1: know when he's coming back. He's the guy who it's
- 13:37Speaker 1: the craziest thing. He's supposed to have a concussion in
- 13:39Speaker 1: his house. You know that. I know the questions about it,
- 13:41Speaker 1: so I know some of the reporters did locally. But
- 13:45Speaker 1: Ravel played, he had nineteen snaps and Malie Cooker, by
- 13:47Speaker 1: the way, he returned, he started. He got off fire
- 13:49Speaker 1: last week, So Andrew, this is actually the healthiest that
- 13:52Speaker 1: the Cowboys have been all season. Let's sing ot They've
- 13:54Speaker 1: had a ton of injuries.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm curious to see what they throw out the
- 13:58Speaker 2: Eagles from a defensive standpoint, but I think the bigger
- 14:01Speaker 2: game within the game could be this, you know, reinvigorated
- 14:05Speaker 2: Eagles pass rush going against a Dallas offensive line that's
- 14:08Speaker 2: healthy and they're pretty formidable. So that's what I'm really
- 14:11Speaker 2: looking forward to seeing. And I think that could determine
- 14:14Speaker 2: the flow of the game because the past two weeks,
- 14:16Speaker 2: whether it was Jordan Love or Jared Goff, they've done
- 14:19Speaker 2: a nice job for harassing the quarterback and rattling them
- 14:22Speaker 2: early I.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Would agree with that, because you know, it's interesting if
- 14:26Speaker 1: you look back at week one, it is fascinating how
- 14:30Speaker 1: things have changed. Campbell no longer started. He started week one,
- 14:34Speaker 1: it was Hunt Noel Smith. Smith would later get hurt.
- 14:37Speaker 1: They didn't have Beja, they didn't have Phillips. It's just interesting, mcooba.
- 14:42Speaker 1: It had been pretty inconsistent, to say the least. But
- 14:45Speaker 1: now he's starting to play better. Jackson did start week one.
- 14:50Speaker 1: We know he's been in and out of a lot
- 14:51Speaker 1: of injury, not playing so well, and I was playing
- 14:53Speaker 1: a little bit better. Now you fast forward to hear
- 14:56Speaker 1: Gervonte Williams is still there starting running back. Kenny f
- 15:00Speaker 1: Mary is still starting. Jack Sanborn got hurt, he started,
- 15:02Speaker 1: and he had a concussion. Now overshrew and took his job. Anyway, Digaz,
- 15:06Speaker 1: it was obviously still starting. This is right around. They
- 15:09Speaker 1: remember they got Kenny Clark right for the season. Started,
- 15:12Speaker 1: Kenny Clark starting, Dante Fowler's a minor injury. But look
- 15:17Speaker 1: it's and Hooker's back now, so it's it's a fasting matchup.
- 15:21Speaker 1: You got it. Look, we'll see you mentioned the earlier.
- 15:23Speaker 1: You're not wrong. It's obviously the Coby's defense has but
- 15:25Speaker 1: mostly terrible this season, but this has also been part
- 15:28Speaker 1: of it. There's been health let's see how the matchups are.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Hey, Philly fans. Game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 15:36Speaker 3: long lines, We've all been there, But when it comes
- 15:38Speaker 3: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is
- 15:43Speaker 3: the dispensary for sports fans, just minutes outside of Philly,
- 15:47Speaker 3: with plenty of free parking. You'll be in and out fast,

- 16:21Speaker 3: service members, and healthcare pros can then Apothecary. Top quality cannabis,
- 16:26Speaker 3: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans twenty
- 16:30Speaker 3: one and up.
- 16:32Speaker 1: You know it Dallas. If they could protect they've had
- 16:35Speaker 1: some issues on the interior. If they could protect, Dak
- 16:38Speaker 1: could spend it. He's had a very good year, and
- 16:40Speaker 1: you know how good they are at receiver. But you
- 16:43Speaker 1: just nailed it. He goes depth is elite right now.
- 16:46Speaker 1: They can't even get to share on the field because
- 16:47Speaker 1: they don't have no they have no need for him.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You don't play vic. You mentioned it, by the way,
- 16:53Speaker 1: was that the year they got went to the Super
- 16:55Speaker 1: Bowl with the Niners, they only.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Put that may have been? That may have been? He
- 16:59Speaker 2: mentioned this earlier in the season during one of his pressers, and.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I probably Smith had to be one of them, right, Yeah,
- 17:06Speaker 1: how to be one of them? But yeah, that's a
- 17:08Speaker 1: I don't know how you do that. And the guys
- 17:10Speaker 1: don't get worn out.
- 17:12Speaker 2: If you remember, I think in the postseason they went
- 17:14Speaker 2: down to the last season with the Eagles, they went
- 17:16Speaker 2: down to a three player of rotation out of necessity.
- 17:19Speaker 2: But he'd done it before, so he probably felt comfortable.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Right. So that that's the Cowboys' injury report. Now let's
- 17:26Speaker 1: get back to you on this. So locker room Wednesday,
- 17:30Speaker 1: you got a little bit of practice. What did you
- 17:31Speaker 1: learn on Wednesday from being with Eagles Wednesday practice.
- 17:36Speaker 2: We're out there five or ten minutes, So the first
- 17:38Speaker 2: player you're looking for is is Cam Jurgen's out there?
- 17:41Speaker 2: He was not. There was no sign of them, nor
- 17:43Speaker 2: Lane Johnson wasn't out there either, and that was to
- 17:46Speaker 2: be expected. But in the locker room we heard from
- 17:48Speaker 2: Fred Johnson, Jordan Davis. I talked to a couple of
- 17:52Speaker 2: players for a story that I'm working on. I needed
- 17:54Speaker 2: a couple quotes. It's a story about Brett Toth and
- 17:58Speaker 2: his leadership behind the scenes with two of the younger linemen,
- 18:01Speaker 2: Drew Kendall and Jake Majors, and kind of what he
- 18:04Speaker 2: provides from that area. And you know, I talked a
- 18:07Speaker 2: little bit to Jahad Campbell.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Uh.
- 18:09Speaker 2: He has a funny nickname Megatron, and I wanted to
- 18:12Speaker 2: know that. I was curious about the origins of that,
- 18:14Speaker 2: so he enjoyed sharing that background. Yeah, I mean it
- 18:17Speaker 2: was Wednesdays are always the busiest day in the locker room.
- 18:20Speaker 2: It's the first day back. There's always a lot of
- 18:22Speaker 2: cameras and things like that there.
- 18:26Speaker 1: And then you've got so you've got first obviously the
- 18:29Speaker 1: daily to check o's and you've got the Mac mcwilliam's
- 18:32Speaker 1: rookie Diary. Mac was a guy, Andrew, I think we
- 18:37Speaker 1: all would say we were really impressed at times with
- 18:38Speaker 1: him in training camp, and and you know, he just
- 18:42Speaker 1: he's he's been active, what once or twice for four games?
- 18:47Speaker 1: Four four? Did he play on specials at all?
- 18:50Speaker 2: Barely? He played seven snaps on defense against the Giants
- 18:53Speaker 2: in that blowout. But I think just the eleven combined
- 18:56Speaker 2: snaps this season, if I got on that just not
- 18:58Speaker 2: a lot.
- 19:00Speaker 1: So we talked a little bit of this on the
- 19:02Speaker 1: WBCB Shoe by the way, folks, you can hear it
- 19:04Speaker 1: on all our platforms. We put it up as Andrew
- 19:06Speaker 1: and I. But how is Mac like? Because I know
- 19:11Speaker 1: you talked to him a lot, I don't know what
- 19:14Speaker 1: was his expectations coming into the season. I'm curious.
- 19:18Speaker 2: I don't know that he had any expectations. Just show
- 19:20Speaker 2: up for work every day, try to improve, and let
- 19:23Speaker 2: the chips fall where they may. He has the right
- 19:25Speaker 2: mindset for a rookie, and especially for a defensive back.
- 19:29Speaker 2: He said, I'm just taking everything one day at a
- 19:31Speaker 2: time and trying to keep my head down. In fact,
- 19:33Speaker 2: his favorite quote the most impactful quote in his life
- 19:36Speaker 2: is keep your head down and keep working. And he
- 19:38Speaker 2: said his brother Fish told him that, and I think
- 19:40Speaker 2: that kind of shed some light on his ability to
- 19:45Speaker 2: kind of keep everything in perspective and be where his
- 19:48Speaker 2: feet are.
- 19:49Speaker 1: So now that you know the Eagles are healthy, you know,
- 19:51Speaker 1: other than laying offsets major and you talked to Fred Johnson,
- 19:56Speaker 1: how do you because the Cowboys offenses is really really
- 19:59Speaker 1: good in terms of the passing game, how do you
- 20:01Speaker 1: see this game playing out? We know a little bit
- 20:03Speaker 1: more information obvious after Wednesday. How do you feel about
- 20:06Speaker 1: this game for the Eagles?
- 20:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think it will actually be a
- 20:09Speaker 2: back and forth affair, a higher scoring when I think
- 20:12Speaker 2: George Pickens for Dallas is going to have a major
- 20:14Speaker 2: impact in this game. Dak Prescott's playing at a high level,
- 20:17Speaker 2: but the Eagles are playing in optimal conditions. They're playing
- 20:20Speaker 2: inside there. You know, you had two games where you
- 20:25Speaker 2: can look at the Green Bay and the Fridgie conditions
- 20:28Speaker 2: or the wind with the Lions, and regardless of what
- 20:30Speaker 2: you may hear, the win definitely had an impact on
- 20:32Speaker 2: both teams. I think you're going to see more of
- 20:36Speaker 2: the offense that they've shown in Spurts they should be
- 20:38Speaker 2: able to score twenty to twenty four points in this game.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I don't think that's a big ass And.
- 20:43Speaker 1: It's funny you say it because with our Patreon level
- 20:45Speaker 1: three members on Wednesday, Waite a wild one. It was
- 20:48Speaker 1: funny because I said, wouldn't be funny because you've seen
- 20:50Speaker 1: this with Hurts over the years, the Pittsburgh game, other
- 20:52Speaker 1: games where he's really feeling it that they're geting to
- 20:55Speaker 1: throw fest. We know the Eagles don't like to play
- 20:57Speaker 1: that way. It's the way that they win, right, wouldn't
- 20:59Speaker 1: be great? It was like forty eight forty four and
- 21:02Speaker 1: somehow the egos won the game for the Eagles. Fans
- 21:04Speaker 1: listen obviously, but you're like, wow, where's this because the
- 21:07Speaker 1: defense will go where they're gonna say where's this bin?
- 21:08Speaker 1: But just just I'm with you, I see it as
- 21:10Speaker 1: a super high scoring game because honestly, at some point, Andrew,
- 21:15Speaker 1: some team is gonna say we're going after Joey Jackson
- 21:17Speaker 1: all game, because no one's really doing that. I don't
- 21:20Speaker 1: no one could kind of figure out why. I mean, yes,
- 21:22Speaker 1: they got a Dory on the crosser one other play,
- 21:25Speaker 1: but after that he was fine. Obviously the pressure helped.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Yeah, but the pressure played a big part.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Yes. Now obviously the wind, let's face it, Gop does
- 21:32Speaker 1: not have a strong arm like Heart's hurts Art. It's
- 21:34Speaker 1: got a strong arm. But because as you said, there
- 21:37Speaker 1: are no conditions you have to worry about. I am
- 21:38Speaker 1: so fascinated it safe to be a throw fest. I
- 21:41Speaker 1: would love that just from a visual standpoint, because it's
- 21:43Speaker 1: hard to watch this offense. Man, I'm sorry, I'm just
- 21:45Speaker 1: being honest. From a visual standpoint, I want to see
- 21:49Speaker 1: what more more pass the game? But uh, based on
- 21:52Speaker 1: the way George Pickens's you know he's playing for a
- 21:54Speaker 1: new contract. See, he's a great player. Jake Ferguson very
- 21:57Speaker 1: underrated tight end. Do you like coming in? By the way,
- 22:01Speaker 1: before we get out of what were your expectations for
- 22:02Speaker 1: the Cowboys this he's coming in.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I thought that they were gonna start out fast and
- 22:07Speaker 2: then sort of fizzle out like they tend to do.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I didn't know that they were built to sustainably be
- 22:12Speaker 2: a team that was gonna be able to stack wins
- 22:14Speaker 2: and things like that. They're just very inconsistent. But Dak
- 22:18Speaker 2: Prescott's a good quarterback, and I liked the pieces that
- 22:20Speaker 2: they had offensively enough so that I thought that they
- 22:23Speaker 2: might be able to generate some early momentum. And then
- 22:26Speaker 2: ultimately the Cowboys typically are going to Cowboy, and that's
- 22:30Speaker 2: where they're just not able to They're they're just not
- 22:34Speaker 2: able to put it all together, whether it's off the
- 22:37Speaker 2: field or whether it's injuries or whatever. They just seem
- 22:40Speaker 2: to have sort of a dark cloud over them and
- 22:43Speaker 2: for whatever reason, they can't really string anything sustainable together.
- 22:47Speaker 1: It's funny, that's what Jason and Viot like, Cowboys are
- 22:49Speaker 1: going to Cowboy. They chargers are going to charge her,
- 22:53Speaker 1: And Jason would say cowboys are going to Cowboy. They
- 22:55Speaker 1: just something always seems to happen. This has the makings
- 22:59Speaker 1: because it's as you said, indoors and we know Dak
- 23:03Speaker 1: Dak could spin at him and he's he's got a
- 23:05Speaker 1: good year.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Yeah he is.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Brad Scheimer super aggressive as a play called Church of
- 23:09Speaker 1: the Past game and Hurts has these games where you
- 23:12Speaker 1: never know what it's coming. When it comes, it could
- 23:14Speaker 1: it could be Wow, Pittsburgh game is really the one.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Last year obviously was the big one. We'll see what happens.
- 23:19Speaker 1: But I'm looking forward to this one. This is good.
- 23:23Speaker 2: So going into the Lions game, Adam, I sort of
- 23:25Speaker 2: equated that to the game that the Eagles had in
- 23:28Speaker 2: Baltimore last season, where it was an ugly game. It
- 23:31Speaker 2: was a defensive slug fest. Much was made about the
- 23:35Speaker 2: Ravens and their physicality, and that game kind of mirrored
- 23:38Speaker 2: that and this game. Funny you mentioned the Steelers game.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I could sort of see it taking on that kind
- 23:44Speaker 2: of a personality, although I think the Cowboys will be
- 23:47Speaker 2: able to move the ball a little bit more effectively
- 23:49Speaker 2: than the Steelers did that day.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Yes, obviously the Eagles were at home, and I just
- 23:55Speaker 1: remember saying, like you could tell what Hurts is feeling it.
- 23:59Speaker 1: There's just I don't know what it is when you
- 24:00Speaker 1: watch a quarterback when he's on, there's just something they go, Okay,
- 24:04Speaker 1: there's this is going to be pretty interesting today. I'm
- 24:07Speaker 1: really hopeful that the game will be like that because
- 24:09Speaker 1: we kind of need that, having to watch the Eagles
- 24:10Speaker 1: every week in the past. Game fans owe it, you know,
- 24:13Speaker 1: all the Hurts fans and everyone else who watches this
- 24:17Speaker 1: team like us, you know, and just nationally because everyone's
- 24:21Speaker 1: asking about all these stories that are coming out and
- 24:23Speaker 1: I know you're doing it. People are asking you for interviews.
- 24:24Speaker 1: They are actually me like crazy for interviews. I'm like, okay, hey, listen. Anyway,
- 24:28Speaker 1: it is what it is, and Eagles need to break.
- 24:30Speaker 1: They need to be on the road and get in
- 24:32Speaker 1: a pass fest. We'll see what happens, but good stuff
- 24:34Speaker 1: from you, my friend. Most will be back for the
- 24:36Speaker 1: next show for inert to checko. I'm Adam Kaplan. Thanks
- 24:40Speaker 1: for listening to Inside the Birds.
