- 0:33Speaker 1: what let's begin with Mike. It looks like Mike, Hello, Yeah,
- 0:38Speaker 1: what I Mike?
- 0:40Speaker 2: Oh, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Honey, we're doing a radio
- 0:44Speaker 2: show and worldwide.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Oh there you Mike, go ahead, start again, Mike.
- 0:49Speaker 5: That's a lot of pressure now and all you know,
- 0:52Speaker 5: streaming across the globe.
- 0:54Speaker 6: Yeah, oh I'm nervous.
- 0:57Speaker 7: No.
- 0:57Speaker 6: I want to talk about three eleven shows. Really good
- 1:00Speaker 6: and the opening band was I don't know if you
- 1:03Speaker 6: guys have ever heard Sitting on Saturn, but nope. I
- 1:06Speaker 6: was an instant fan like Jane's addiction. Uh, it was
- 1:10Speaker 6: like a James addiction, Boss Tones, Sublime Vibe, okay, real skater,
- 1:16Speaker 6: super good. And my comment after they were done was like,
- 1:20Speaker 6: that's the kind of singer that dies pretty quick. Oh
- 1:25Speaker 6: so hopefully, hopefully they stick around for a long time.
- 1:27Speaker 6: But man, it was a really really good concert.
- 1:30Speaker 8: Can I can I can I ask you why you
- 1:33Speaker 8: would say that of the of the singer.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Why why is he kind of uncontained, uncontrolled zoots like
- 1:42Speaker 5: super amounts of rockstar talent, and you know they always
- 1:44Speaker 5: just end up getting grind grinded up by the machine
- 1:47Speaker 5: and burning out way too quick.
- 1:50Speaker 6: He has all of a sudden so sitting on saturn.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Okay, all right, I'll look him up.
- 1:54Speaker 6: Yeah, they were really good, but there's a short guy
- 1:57Speaker 6: up front. It stole a guitar or a drum from
- 2:00Speaker 6: a tall kid. No end of the show.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Wow, good for him, short man. Yeah, that's it, no kidding,
- 2:09Speaker 1: all right, I know it. Thanks Maya. Bill steal stuff
- 2:12Speaker 1: all the time. I do from only from tall people.
- 2:15Speaker 1: That's right. Let's go to Yeah, what this is? David?
- 2:19Speaker 1: Hi David? Where are you calling from from? Okay? What's up?
- 2:25Speaker 9: I wanted to know why Katie's tagline is for shorts.
- 2:29Speaker 10: She always says Katie for short, So.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I just wondered, would you like to explain that, Katie?
- 2:33Speaker 7: I wanted you I wanted to see if you remembered.
- 2:34Speaker 7: Of course I remember, because you're the one that gave
- 2:36Speaker 7: it to me.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:37Speaker 8: You your name is Caitlin. Yeah, And I said, I
- 2:40Speaker 8: like that name, Caitlin, and Katie said, well, yeah, but
- 2:43Speaker 8: everybody just calls me Katie for short.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and I call you Katie for sure.
- 2:47Speaker 7: And I was twenty seventeen when I was an intern,
- 2:49Speaker 7: and it has stuck through.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Does anyone call you Caitlin? No, like your parents when
- 2:53Speaker 4: they're you.
- 2:54Speaker 7: I can date when people know me because people who
- 2:57Speaker 7: knew me back in high school know me as Caitlin
- 3:00Speaker 7: as soon as I hit college Katie, So I can
- 3:02Speaker 7: tell the difference between who knows me from what time.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I've always liked the name Caitlin. Yeah, and I so.
- 3:09Speaker 8: But when she said I'm Katie for short, that's so
- 3:12Speaker 8: that's where it came from.
- 3:13Speaker 1: There you go, good, thanks, I wondered for years. Well
- 3:16Speaker 1: there you go.
- 3:17Speaker 7: I appreciate it.
- 3:18Speaker 4: That's what we answer your question.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yeah, well hello, yeah, what is for exactly? All right?
- 3:22Speaker 1: There you go. Let's go to Judd John. Yeah, what Judd.
- 3:26Speaker 8: By the way, we have a couple of open lines
- 3:28Speaker 8: eight seven seven six oh two nine six nine six.
- 3:31Speaker 11: Where are you Judd, I'm in sull Egg.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Okay, what's up.
- 3:37Speaker 11: Hey, Yeah, there's a big event going on up at
- 3:40Speaker 11: the Neighborhood Hive on Saturday. It's called the Bonnie Ball
- 3:44Speaker 11: and Celebration of the Bumcleed Cutthroat Shout. And my band
- 3:47Speaker 11: is going to play called the Low Hanging Fruit. We
- 3:54Speaker 11: we uh. Yeah, it's like we picked songs that are
- 3:56Speaker 11: easily done.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I suppose I see a lot of Seven Nation Army.
- 4:00Speaker 3: You start with that, don't you.
- 4:02Speaker 11: No, No, nothing like that, kind of like a blue
- 4:04Speaker 11: grass but we'll do like we played like a cure
- 4:08Speaker 11: song and you know blue grass, so kind of a
- 4:12Speaker 11: new grass.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Okay, fun thing.
- 4:14Speaker 11: And where is this and the neighborhood the Neighborhood Hive.
- 4:18Speaker 11: It's on twenty first South and twenty first East. It's
- 4:20Speaker 11: this awesome micro store where people can like rent a
- 4:25Speaker 11: little bit of space, you know, if they're selling, and
- 4:28Speaker 11: there's you know, maybe they make a few loaves of
- 4:31Speaker 11: bread every day. And it's a really cool thing and
- 4:33Speaker 11: it's a great way to support local, local sellers and
- 4:38Speaker 11: and yeah, it's really cool. My friend Jed has a
- 4:41Speaker 11: he's also in the band, has a coffee roaster there
- 4:45Speaker 11: the bean Hole.
- 4:48Speaker 2: So yeah, he's Jed and you're jud and you're in
- 4:50Speaker 2: the same band.
- 4:52Speaker 11: And we and we've been in the same we've been
- 4:54Speaker 11: known each other since your kids, and we've been in
- 4:56Speaker 11: the many bands together. In the nineties, we had a
- 4:59Speaker 11: pretty good going driving around the whole West in a
- 5:02Speaker 11: big school bus in our band called the Donner Party
- 5:05Speaker 11: back then.
- 5:06Speaker 1: All right, thank thank you, and we'll check it out. Thanks,

- 5:36Speaker 9: but I've never gone across the pond.
- 5:38Speaker 11: We're trying to think of.
- 5:39Speaker 9: Everything we need to do to go across, Like, for instance,
- 5:44Speaker 9: I found out that they use different voltages there. What
- 5:47Speaker 9: are some of the things that maybe we're not thinking
- 5:49Speaker 9: of that we need to prepare for for international travel.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Uh, weird food. Weird food.
- 5:59Speaker 8: Kay, take you've got the voltage thing covered.
- 6:05Speaker 1: You know, it's really it's gotten.

- 6:15Speaker 8: they you know, things are.
- 6:17Speaker 1: A little difficult.
- 6:18Speaker 8: I would take a concurrency converter kind of thing, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 8: where you can like it's gonna like it says this
- 6:26Speaker 8: is going to cost you fifty kroners or whatever.
- 6:29Speaker 4: They there's an app for that. You know, don't need
- 6:30Speaker 4: a special thing.
- 6:31Speaker 8: Yeah, just make sure you have that available to you.
- 6:37Speaker 3: And if you use your credit card, it makes you
- 6:40Speaker 3: it converts it for.
- 6:41Speaker 8: You, and it saved It's good and it actually saves
- 6:44Speaker 8: you money to use a credit.
- 6:47Speaker 9: I mean, Kerry, when you went to Japan and Korea,
- 6:50Speaker 9: I mean, how do they treat Americans?
- 6:54Speaker 2: I was with I was with a bunch of Asians,
- 6:56Speaker 2: so you know they treated me fine.
- 6:59Speaker 8: I would say go with see if you can go
- 7:01Speaker 8: with the Norwegian Chris see.
- 7:03Speaker 2: If you're you go get you get to the Google
- 7:05Speaker 2: Translate app.

- 7:31Speaker 8: try try all the local stuff and you'll have fun.
- 7:34Speaker 2: But you know, maybe uh maybe maybe get a Canadian
- 7:38Speaker 2: flag pin.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Just a thought. Yeah, just the thought.
- 7:44Speaker 8: Or wear a big T shirt that says on it
- 7:47Speaker 8: I'm from Canada, elbows up.

- 8:19Speaker 1: that you know? Haven't used them? I don't know.
- 8:21Speaker 2: I think we heard from some people who have, but

- 8:26Speaker 2: Muffins from Stan, that's right. Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 8:30Speaker 1: They didn't go very far but did no.

- 8:36Speaker 3: Our sales guys Stan brought us Muffins one day.
- 8:39Speaker 4: That would be a.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Band name. Actually, if you so many good band names
- 8:45Speaker 1: out there.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Yeah, if if you've taken one of our suggestions for
- 8:48Speaker 3: a band name and haven't let us know, let let
- 8:50Speaker 3: us know.
- 8:51Speaker 1: So we can charge you. We need we need to
- 8:53Speaker 1: get our fee for that. So uh.

- 9:07Speaker 4: Bands, kids, dogs, run it past.
- 9:10Speaker 8: Run the names past us. Well, well we'll give you

- 9:14Speaker 1: All right, Thanks later, Neil, I forgot about Lane is here?
- 9:23Speaker 3: Hello? Yeah?
- 9:24Speaker 1: What hello Lane? Lane? What's up?
- 9:28Speaker 10: Well? As an employee of Holiday Oil, which is the
- 9:32Speaker 10: number six place the best places to work in the
- 9:35Speaker 10: state of Utah, we are doing a promotion right now.
- 9:39Speaker 10: There are tools for schools and you can round up
- 9:43Speaker 10: and that money goes directly to the teachers. It does
- 9:47Speaker 10: not go to the legislature. Yeah, so round up with
- 9:53Speaker 10: Holiday Way to find sponsors and also, Holiday oil kicked
- 9:59Speaker 10: in fifty thousand dollars for the teachers.
- 10:03Speaker 8: She nice, So does that go just like into the UEA,
- 10:06Speaker 8: the Utah Education Association?
- 10:07Speaker 1: Is that?
- 10:09Speaker 10: And we got a teacher that works I work at
- 10:11Speaker 10: the one on one hundred and twenty six and thirteenth
- 10:13Speaker 10: US and we have a teacher that works there. And
- 10:15Speaker 10: she says, no, Lane, that that money does go to
- 10:18Speaker 10: the teachers. That doesn't go to the legislature to be
- 10:21Speaker 10: diverted to pave some road or something, goes directly to
- 10:25Speaker 10: the teacher.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Okay, all right, good to know.
- 10:27Speaker 10: Let me even give me started on the legislature.
- 10:29Speaker 8: Okay, all right, all right, all right, Lane, Lane, settle down,
- 10:33Speaker 8: settle down.
- 10:34Speaker 1: We understand you feel the same way. We understand. Settle down.
- 10:37Speaker 8: Yeah, thanks for letting us knows.
- 10:41Speaker 10: Holiday round up?
- 10:43Speaker 8: Okay, all right, yeah, how do you feel about the
- 10:45Speaker 8: legislature though, La, No, no.
- 10:48Speaker 12: Any.
- 10:50Speaker 10: Down and have a drink someday and talk about it.
- 10:52Speaker 1: All right, see you later, Lane, right, coming in hot Lane?
- 10:57Speaker 1: All right, Susan is here, Susan? Hello, Yeah, what hello? Hello?
- 11:04Speaker 1: Where are you calling from?
- 11:06Speaker 12: You know, I'm heading out to go to the Shakespeare
- 11:09Speaker 12: Festival today.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Oh, really, what are they doing this year?
- 11:14Speaker 12: They're doing Anthony and Cleve Patra and she's performed very often,
- 11:19Speaker 12: and they're doing Macbeth, and they're doing As You Like It,
- 11:23Speaker 12: And then I think they're doing non Shakespeare Steel Magnolia's
- 11:29Speaker 12: Gentleman's Guide to Murder and Love.
- 11:32Speaker 8: And always kind of bugs me when I say, you know,
- 11:34Speaker 8: I said, so you tall Shakespeare Festival, as you like it, Macbeth,
- 11:37Speaker 8: Anthony and Cleopatra, Steel Magnolias, what's.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Coming down for Steel Magnolia's.
- 11:44Speaker 1: The hell with the Shakespeare? Right, Jeans yeap. Macbeth is
- 11:47Speaker 1: one of my favorites anyway.
- 11:48Speaker 12: You it is true it gets more people down there,
- 11:51Speaker 12: because everybody does.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm more people.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:54Speaker 8: So so, Susan, you you had a comment you wanted
- 11:58Speaker 8: to make go ahead.
- 12:00Speaker 12: I wanted to talk about that surgery to make people
- 12:02Speaker 12: taller because I thought it was not true. I'd never
- 12:05Speaker 12: heard of it before. But I saw a movie called
- 12:08Speaker 12: The Materialist, and I don't know if you guys saw that,
- 12:11Speaker 12: but it has Dakoda Johnson. She's like a high end matchmaker,
- 12:18Speaker 12: and so like her requirements for men, they have to
- 12:22Speaker 12: be over six feed and they have to make you know,
- 12:25Speaker 12: six digits. Yeah, come whatever. But she starts to date
- 12:30Speaker 12: Pedro Pascal, and she's just in love with him, and
- 12:34Speaker 12: she's laying in bed with him and she touches his
- 12:36Speaker 12: legs and she fills these scars on his legs. And
- 12:41Speaker 12: then in the morning she confronts him, Oh, have you
- 12:44Speaker 12: had this surgery? And I've never heard of it. I
- 12:46Speaker 12: thought it was just made up for the movie. But
- 12:49Speaker 12: he says, yes, I did have surgery to make me taller.
- 12:52Speaker 12: And she's kind of surprised by that or something. And
- 12:56Speaker 12: then he sends his knees so that he's like small,
- 13:00Speaker 12: smaller than her, like he bends his knees to get little,
- 13:03Speaker 12: and then he says, would you date me if I
- 13:06Speaker 12: look like this? And and then she kind of temmed
- 13:11Speaker 12: and hot and.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Anyway, he's still Pedro Pascal.
- 13:16Speaker 12: No matter how, even Pedro Pascal as the Smotherers.
- 13:20Speaker 8: And I think, I no, I don't I think, I think,
- 13:23Speaker 8: I don't think you. I don't think you want to
- 13:24Speaker 8: date a teeny tiny Pedro.
- 13:27Speaker 1: You do pick him up and put him in your pocket.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Pedro Pascal.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true, all right.
- 13:33Speaker 12: She did end up, She did break up with him,
- 13:36Speaker 12: and then she ended up getting together with Chris Abans.
- 13:39Speaker 8: So I know I know a guy, and I won't
- 13:41Speaker 8: mention who it is. Carrie knows the person too. I
- 13:43Speaker 8: was going to bring this up. And he had some
- 13:46Speaker 8: sort of his parents subjected him to some sort of
- 13:50Speaker 8: I don't know if it was leg lengthening or or
- 13:53Speaker 8: some other hormone treatments because he was very small and
- 13:57Speaker 8: they was an attempt to make him tall or and
- 14:01Speaker 8: he suffered very greatly going through all of that when
- 14:04Speaker 8: he was a kid, and he didn't get any taller. Yeah,
- 14:08Speaker 8: and and he was pretty bitter about the whole thing,
- 14:12Speaker 8: I think, And uh, and.
- 14:15Speaker 12: Sometimes they get his growth hormone and things like that.
- 14:19Speaker 12: When but I mean, I'm small, I'm only spy foot too, and.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I'm well, but it's different. But you, but you're a woman.
- 14:28Speaker 12: But then you want a small guy. I mean, if
- 14:30Speaker 12: I'm only fo to, why would I want a six
- 14:33Speaker 12: foot two guy that would break my neck?
- 14:35Speaker 4: Hand?
- 14:35Speaker 1: Well, what if he well what if he looked like
- 14:37Speaker 1: p put you in his pocket? All right, all right,
- 14:42Speaker 1: see you later, thank you? All right, that's a hello. Yeah,
- 14:46Speaker 1: what for today
