Tova Noel Denies Being Orange Shape Seen Near Epstein’s Cell (6/8/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
0:03
Epstein Chronicles. Over the past twenty four hours, the House
0:07
Oversight Committee has released the transcripts from their depositions with
0:12
Touvin o Well and with Paum Bondi, and over the
0:15
next few days we're going to be diving into both
0:17
of those transcripts. But in this episode, we're going to
0:21
talk a little bit more about toven O Well and
0:24
the night of Jeffrey Epstein's death. And look, I've never
0:27
been of the mind that Tauvin Owell and Michael Thomas
0:31
were people that you know, were on Jeffrey Epstein's payroll.
0:35
This goes much higher than them. And I've never been
0:37
convinced of the official narrative. And now that we've went
0:41
through a lot of those OIG interviews that were given
0:44
by guards, that were given by people that were working
0:46
at MCC at the time, I don't believe for a
0:49
minute the official narrative. Nobody wants to take responsibility for
0:54
the fact that Jeffrey Epstein was supposed to have a cellmate.
0:57
Everybody knew it, and the people on high they were
1:00
the ones that screwed up at MCC. These guards, of course,
1:04
they should have done their job. But they're just a
1:07
cog in the machine. They're just a spoke in the wheel.
1:11
But the people who made these decisions, the people that
1:14
are even above the warden, those are the people that
1:17
have some explaining to do, as far as I'm concerned,
1:19
And of course those are the people that will never
1:22
ever explain themselves. Today's article is from CBS News, and
1:27
the headline correction officer testifies she was not the orange
1:30
shape seen near Jeffrey epstein cell the night that he died. Okay,
1:35
then who was it? What was it? And why have
1:37
we been told time and time again that it was
1:39
Tovin nowell, I mean, that was the official narrative for
1:41
how long? And now she's out here telling Congress that
1:44
it wasn't her. Okay, who was it? This article was
1:48
authored by Daniel Rutnik, a former correction officer at New
1:52
York Correctional Facility where convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein died
1:57
in twenty nineteen, testified before the House Versid Committee last
2:01
month that she was not the orange shape seen moving
2:04
up the stairs of Epstein's here the night he died,
2:07
furthering the mystery of what happened that night? Yeah, no shit,
2:12
The cameras just happened to be broken. The guards fall asleep.
2:16
Everybody forgets that ephrin Reyes is wab. People happened to
2:21
be out on sick leave. None of the guards remember anything.
2:26
Nobody can explain why Nicholas start tag Leoni's in a
2:29
jail cell with Jeffrey Epstein. None of it makes sense.
2:32
And now on top of all of that, we know
2:35
that it wasn't Tovin o Weel that was in that video.
2:38
So again I ask you who was it? Because somebody
2:43
was there, we saw the video. They can't gaslight us
2:46
and tell us that there was nobody in that video.
2:48
There was, so who was it? Well? According to a
2:52
transcript released Thursday, House Overside Committee members questioned Tovin no
2:56
Weel on May eighteenth about surveillance footage showing an unidentified
3:01
orange colored figure moving up a staircase at approximately ten
3:05
thirty nine pm on August ninth, twenty nineteen, the night
3:09
before Epstein was discovered dead in his cell in the
3:12
Special Housing unit of the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Lower Manhattan.
3:17
His death has been ruled a suicide, and people say Look,
3:21
nobody could get in that cell. Well, I'm not too
3:24
sure about that. What's the AC system look like? Could
3:27
somebody scurry through the HVAC? I mean we heard from
3:31
the securities guard that sometimes the doors were left unlocked.
3:36
Was one of the shoe doors accidentally and I'm using
3:39
air quotes here left open, so that what happened could happen. Look,
3:45
there's passive activity and then there's active activity. And even
3:49
if Jeffrey Epstein did take his own life, I believe
3:52
that that was all set up by the situation with Tartaglioni,
3:57
and then after that the government can just blame the
4:00
fact that things were systematically screwed up and that would
4:04
be their cover story. Look, this wasn't some kind of conspiracy.
4:08
Nobody was out to get Epstein. The facility was just shitty.
4:14
It was managed poorly, and the employees didn't do their job,
4:17
and all of that might be true. But if that's
4:21
the case, how come this didn't happen to more people?
4:24
How come more people didn't commit suicide while at MCC Look,
4:28
when the narrative doesn't match up with the statistical probabilities,
4:32
there's a problem in her testimony Noel steadfastly denied being
4:38
the individual in the footage and maintained that she was
4:41
not present at that moment. She offered no explanation for
4:44
what the shape could be. Well, of course not. She's
4:47
not going to be helpful. They're all in on it.
4:49
And when I say they're all in on it, I
4:51
mean covering their ass. That's what this was all about
4:54
with the guards. How many times during those interviews with
4:57
the OIG did we hear guards say I'm not trying
5:00
to throw anybody under the bus. How many times did
5:04
the union reps jump in? So it's been a big
5:07
problem as far as getting information from people that were
5:09
there in the first place. And then you have Tovin
5:13
Owel here. She's not going to say anything that incriminates
5:15
herself further. She already beat this rap. To be very honest,
5:22
I don't know what it is who it is, because
5:24
I never went back to the tier, and I was
5:26
never carrying anything orange at all, and I never issued
5:29
anything orange to anyone in the shoe, not just only Epstein,
5:33
just anyone, Noel said. CBS News had previously been the
5:37
first to report the presence of the shape, as well
5:40
as the FBI and Justice Department Inspector General's failure to
5:43
question her about it. The inspector General's report had noted
5:47
that it was likely her, but provided no evidence. An
5:50
FBI log of the surveillance video had noted that it
5:54
was possibly an inmate. The presence of an inmate outside
5:57
of a cell at that time would have been highly unusual. Yeah,
6:01
you think, why don't we have an inmate wandering around
6:04
at that time of night, especially in the Shoe. We're
6:07
not talking about GP, We're not talking about, you know,
6:10
an unmanaged ward. We're talking about the Shoe special housing unit,
6:15
you know, where everybody's supposed to be underguard, lock and key.
6:19
But I guess in this instance, we should all just
6:21
look the other way and chalk it up to a coincidence, right, Hell,
6:25
maybe the inmate was doing the rounds for Toven Noell
6:28
and Michael Thomas. Maybe that's what was happening. Yo. This
6:31
whole entire thing is fu bar and anybody who's trying
6:34
to pitch this bullshit as real and as the official
6:36
story is telling you fairy tales. Because something happened in
6:41
that Gail cell that is very different than the explanations
6:45
that we've received. This was also the last time someone
6:50
was seen approaching Epstein's cell tier the night of his death,
6:54
So the last time someone was near his cell was
6:57
a person that was carrying a bunch of l and then,
7:00
of course Epstein ends up quote unquote killing himself by
7:04
using linen to hang from the side of the bed. Okay, sure,
7:08
not a big deal. We don't need to know who
7:10
this person was. What are you a conspiracy theorist? Time
7:14
to move on, boys and girls. Because of a hard
7:16
drive failure, a majority of the cameras were streaming but
7:19
not recording that night, and the only available view of
7:22
the special housing unit and specifically of the eltier where
7:26
he was held, was from a camera on the other
7:28
side of the common area that showed a partial view
7:31
of the stairs leading to his tier, according to a
7:34
twenty twenty three report from the Department of Justice Inspector General.
7:39
And we all know that that Inspector General report is
7:41
a bunch of nonsense. Imagine writing up a report after
7:45
having a bunch of non responsive guards give you interviews.
7:49
And again, that's why we're going through all those transcripts.
7:52
That's why we went through so many of them because
7:55
I want you all to understand that this has never
7:57
been about getting to the bottom of anything. This has
8:00
always been about trying to close the door. And that's
8:03
been my biggest problem from the beginning. Noel acknowledged that
8:08
she failed to properly conduct or acquired inmate rounds and
8:11
counts on the night before Jeffrey Epstein's death, but denied
8:15
any involvement in his death. Look, I don't think she
8:18
was involved. Maybe as a useful idiot, but I doubt
8:22
whoever was behind the scenes reached out to Toavin Oel
8:26
and was like, hey, Tova, check this out. I think
8:28
it goes way above that. Whoever set it all up.
8:33
If somebody set it up, they had Michael Thomas, who
8:36
wasn't you know, somebody that was used to being in
8:39
the Shoe, And they had Touven Noel, who was relatively
8:42
new to the Shoe as the two guards on duty
8:45
that night. No senior officers. So who's in charge of
8:49
the roster, who put together the schedule? And why did
8:52
they do it the way they did? Now they'll tell
8:55
you it's because there were staff shortages. Oh we needed
8:57
this one, we needed that one. This one's not even
9:00
a CEO. But they're going to pull overtime the whole thing.
9:04
But the truth is, none of it looks good, and
9:07
I don't think that the OIG report that they came
9:10
up with even comes close to explaining what really went on. Noel,
9:14
an Antigua born immigrant and former National Guard member who
9:17
served in Kuwait during Operation and during Freedom, testified that
9:21
she had recently returned to work after a workplace injury
9:24
and was working mandatory overtime during her first overnight shift
9:28
in the specializing unit. Yeah, who set it all up?
9:33
Can't ask the warden anymore because well he's dead. But
9:36
the whole entire situation about fren Reis leaving WAB and
9:40
nobody putting another CELLI in the cell with Epstein is
9:44
Hella's suspect. So maybe nobody actively went into that cell
9:48
and killed Epstein. But like I told you before, I
9:51
think Tartaglione sent him a message. So if the circumstances
9:57
were set up for Epstein to do what he did,
10:00
in my opinion, that makes the government culpable. They wanted
10:03
him gone, They set up the perfect circumstances for that
10:07
to occur, and this was the end result. That's certainly
10:11
a possibility. What I don't believe for a second is
10:14
that Epstein just decided that he's going to take his
10:16
own life one day. That's very out of character for
10:19
who Jeffrey Epstein was. Noel said she didn't know who
10:22
Epstein was when he was moved into the shoe, and
10:25
she was unaware of several special conditions associated with his confinement,
10:29
including that he required a cell mate. I don't believe
10:33
that for a minute. Sorry, she knew. Everybody knew, and
10:36
they chose not to do anything about it. Whether that's
10:41
incompetence or whether that's something that came from the top,
10:44
we don't know. But to think for a minute that
10:48
anybody didn't know that Jeffrey Epstein needed a sell mate,
10:51
that's crazy. She also said she had not seen her
10:55
posted notice requiring mandatory thirty minute rounds on Epstein. Everybody
10:59
got thirty minute rounds, not just Epstein. This notice had
11:03
been printed on an orange paper and attached to the
11:06
computer monitor at her desk. She testified that she learned
11:09
about Epstein's prior alleged suicide attempt from his cell mate
11:12
Nicholas Tartaglioni the day after the incident occurred and had
11:16
never seen a note reportedly connected to that incident. Well, yeah,
11:20
Nicholas Tartaglioni. He was the one passing the narrative around.
11:24
Everybody just believed it, no real investigation, to hell with
11:28
what Epstein said. And you know why, I think that
11:32
occurred because they wanted it to occur. They put Tartaglioni
11:36
in that gel cell for this specific reason. Pass the
11:40
message on to Epstein either you do it or we will.
11:44
And I think that's the most logical explanation for the
11:46
whole thing. Now, does that mean it's definitely true? No,
11:49
of course not. I don't know. I wasn't there, But
11:51
when you piece together the evidence, it seems like this
11:54
is the likeliest of outcomes. This was in reference to
11:58
the purported suicide note oft tip by The New York
12:01
Times last month. To our Taglioni had been Epstein's roommate
12:04
when the alleged attempt occurred, and has made claims to
12:07
have saved his life that night. Oh yeah, who believes that.
12:12
Maybe that lady that has a substack page that's in
12:15
love with Tartaglioni. Nobody with a brain should believe that
12:19
a four time murderer is going to help a child
12:22
molester in jail. Okay, cool, I guess. And for my
12:27
next trick, I'm going to put an Aryan Brotherhood member
12:30
with a Mexican mafia member in a jail. Selling California,
12:34
Noel was asked about the twelve cash deposits beginning in
12:38
April of twenty eighteen that had been previously identified by investigators.
12:43
She said the money came from her personal savings and
12:45
had no connection to Abstein or anyone associated with him.
12:49
She repeatedly denied receiving money from Abstein or any affiliated individual,
12:54
but refused to disclose the source of the funds. Oh, well,
12:58
of course not. And it's not like Congress can make
13:01
her disclose that, because it's a dog and pony show.
13:06
Like I deposited my money into my bank account and
13:09
that's from my personal savings plan and no one has
13:11
ever approached me about money or given me money in
13:14
reference to mister Epstein at all. Ever, Noel testified that
13:18
she first spoke to Epstein on August ninth, twenty nineteen,
13:21
and that she and a fellow corrections officer delivered his
13:24
dinner that evening, but she did not enter his cell.
13:27
She stated that despite failing to complete required rounds, she
13:31
believed Epstein's death would have occurred even if the checks
13:34
had been properly conducted. I mean maybe, but we don't know.
13:40
That's quite the lead. I mean, there's a reason that
13:43
that protocol is in place. She also denied intentionally searching
13:47
for information about Epstein on a prison computer, explaining that
13:51
she clicked on a news article link that appeared on
13:54
a homepage regarding the discovery of Epstein. Noel testified that
13:58
she never entered the cell, did not see the body initially,
14:01
and only observed Epstein's feet while another corrections officer, Michael Thomas,
14:06
performed CPR. She said that she first saw the body
14:09
when it was removed on a stretcher. She recalled the
14:13
inmates chanting, y'all in so much trouble after Epstein was found,
14:17
and she said that she waited for others to respond
14:20
when asked about an email released by the Justice Department
14:23
records alleging that she and Thomas were paid sixty five
14:26
hundred to neglect their duties to so that a man
14:29
named Michael Rose could enter Epstein's sell and kill him.
14:32
Noell denied any knowledge of Rose and rejected the allegations. Well, look,
14:38
I don't know anything about that. We've heard about that
14:40
guy before, but who the fuck knows. What I do know, though,
14:44
is that the story of their pitchion unbelievable. Throughout the testimony,
14:48
she maintained that while procedural failure has occurred, she had
14:52
no role in any conspiracy related to Epstein's death. There
14:56
have been numerous conspiracy theories that Epstein was killed because
14:59
of his connection to wealthy and powerful people. Oh, because
15:03
that's so hard to believe, big time conspiracy there. You
15:07
might as well be talking about chowpacabra and Bigfoot. Meanwhile,
15:11
people who believe that there's aliens all over the place
15:14
are the same people telling you that Jeffrey Epstein's a hoax.
15:18
In a statement, Noel's attorney told CBS News Thursday that
15:22
Noel voluntarily appeared for an interview by the House Overside
15:26
Committee because she wanted to assist in providing clarity to
15:29
the victims of Jeffrey Epstein ensure that the Oversight Committee
15:32
has all the facts known to her, not based on
15:35
speculation or conspiracy theories about the circumstances surrounding the death
15:40
of mister Epstein and bring closure to her involvement in
15:44
this tragic situation. CBS News has reached out to the
15:48
FBI and the Justice Department Inspector General for comment, but
15:52
has not received a response. Well, look, we haven't read
15:56
the testimony yet itself, the transcripts, so I'm not gonna
16:00
say one way or the other what I believe in
16:01
what I don't believe as far as the exact words
16:04
that touven Noel said, but the overall story very unbelievable.
16:10
But what we'll do, like usual is dive into the
16:13
transcripts and then you can all decide for yourselves. So
16:17
with that said, that's going to do it for this one.
16:20
All the information that goes with this episode can be
16:23
found in the description box.
