on to sports. Keaton Wagler has been drafted

by the Los Angeles Clippers. In other news from
• 3:54
the Big Ten, Eleni Isaac and Robby Nardini from
• 3:57
the Champagne Room are joined by Alex Key from

• 4:03
this draft pick. They also touch on Dusty May's
• 4:06
departure from the Big Ten, along with other
• 4:09
significant updates from the conference. For
• 4:12
those seeking insurance solutions, consider State

Farm agent Brian Hansen for a quote on home.

auto, business, and life insurance needs. In
• 4:22
local sports, tonight the Red Sox host the Yankees
• 4:26
at Fenway in game one of a four -game series.
• 4:30
Connelly Early faces Cam Schlittler with Boston
• 4:33
looking to steady a rotation that's been shaky
• 4:36
lately. The Sox sit at 32 -46 after dropping
• 4:41
yesterday's series finale to Colorado. They'll
• 4:46
need to find some offense against a division
• 4:48
threat. First pitch is 7 -10. Roman Anthony remains
• 4:53
sidelined with no clear return timeline. The
• 4:57
young outfielder's right -hand injury from early
• 4:59
May hasn't progressed meaningfully. He's still
• 5:03
working with a lighter bat in practice and hasn't
• 5:06
advanced to hitting progression, a significant
• 5:08
loss for an organization desperately needing
• 5:11
offensive help. Meanwhile, the Celtics are actively
• 5:15
shopping Jalen Brown on the trade market. ESPN's
• 5:19
Shams Charania reported today that Boston is
• 5:23
engaged in talks with multiple teams surrounding
• 5:26
the 2024 Finals MVP. This comes after the failed
• 5:31
Giannis Pursuit, where Brown was the centerpiece.
• 5:35
The team appears willing to move him to land
• 5:37
a center, with Houston among interested teams.
• 5:41
Brad Stevens left the door open for Brown's eventual
• 5:44
departure, though his Supermax deal complicates
• 5:48
any move. On the ice, GM Don Sweeney addressed
• 5:52
the Bruins offseason, saying it's been busy league
• 5:56
-wide with more transactions expected through
• 5:59
July. Boston signed several prospects and dealt
• 6:03
Andre Gasso to San Jose while acquiring extra
• 6:06
draft picks. The draft wraps up this weekend
• 6:10
in Buffalo with seven selections ahead for the
• 6:13
Bruins. In top news, Frank Caron, a forward chief
• 6:19
of staff to ex -New York Mayor Eric Adams, was
• 6:22
arrested Wednesday in a federal bribery case
• 6:25
related to a migrant shelter contract. The indictment
• 6:29
alleges that Caron accepted more than $120 ,000
• 6:33
in payoffs to steer the contract to an unsuitable
• 6:37
hotel. Assistant United States Attorney Sarah
• 6:41
Winnick stated, Frank Caron was entrusted to
• 6:44
run our city government and instead put his own
• 6:46
wealth and status above duty. Caron, along with
• 6:51
three others, pleaded not guilty to various charges.
• 6:55
  Separately, federal authorities searched the
• 6:57
homes of current and former New York Police Department
• 7:00
leaders in connection with a different bribery
• 7:03
investigation. In business news. Tesla and Waymo
• 7:08
are engaged in a fierce competition in the robo
• 7:11
-taxi race, but the company spending the most
• 7:14
money builds no cars at all. Uber is quietly
• 7:18
writing checks totaling $500 million to secure
• 7:22
robo -taxes, as Waymo threatens to leave it behind.
• 7:25
If you own Tesla stock, much of what you are
• 7:28
paying for above the value of a carmaker is a
• 7:31
bet on autonomy and artificial intelligence that
• 7:34
is barely reflected on the income statement.
• 7:37
This spring, the Robotaxi network consisted of
• 7:40
about 20 driverless Tesla Model E vehicles in
• 7:44
Austin, Texas, Dallas, Texas, and Houston, Texas.
• 7:48
In crypto movement, Bitcoin is down 3 % to about
• 7:53
  $61 ,000. Ethereum is down 2 .5 % to just over
• 8:00
  $1 ,600. And XRP is down 3%. to $1 .07. Moving
• 8:08
on to a more local vibe. In our community spotlight

Hingham, Brookline, and Framingham, just be sure
• 8:48
to tell them, sunny morning sent you by. And
• 8:52
now, back to the show. Let's talk science. The
• 8:57
painting has been authenticated, but not revealed.
• 9:01
Reports suggest it is one of Picasso's portraits
• 9:04
of Marie -Thérèse Walter. French police recently
• 9:08
raided a house outside of Paris during a drug
• 9:11
  trafficking investigation. They found bundles
• 9:14
of cash, cannabis, designer clothes, and a stolen
• 9:18
Picasso painting. The artwork is worth tens of
• 9:22
millions of euros, according to France's police
• 9:25
force. The raid occurred last week in Champigny
• 9:28
-sur -Marne. The house reportedly belongs to
• 9:31
the aunt of a suspected drug dealer. Four people
• 9:35
were arrested, with one confessing to stealing
• 9:37
from a storage facility in Paris. And in entertainment
• 9:44
news, 25 years after Band of Brothers, this two
• 9:49
-part World War II series is officially crushing
• 9:52
streaming. Numerous films and television shows
• 9:55
depict World War II events. highlighting the
• 9:59
brutality, sacrifice, and chaos of the battlefield.
• 10:03
Yet some stories defy belief, showcasing missions
• 10:06
that change history. That is what made Band of
• 10:10
Brothers a benchmark and Rogue Heroes a delightfully
• 10:13
entertaining watch. The show follows David Sterling
• 10:17
and his regiment as they conduct sabotage missions.
• 10:21
While some events are exaggerated, historian
• 10:24
Joshua Levine confirms that many are true. Ultimately,
• 10:29
Rogue Heroes offers a complex portrayal of war
• 10:32
and heroism, available to stream on NGM Plus
• 10:36
in the United States. Well, alrighty folks, it's
• 10:41
time for the quote of the day. And today, our
• 10:45
quote comes from the American diplomat and peace
• 10:47
advocate, Ralph Bunch. And he said, There are
• 10:52
no warlike people, just warlike leaders. And
• 10:56
that's a wrap for this morning. You can check
• 10:59
out our Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok for some
• 11:03
captivating aerial videos with local news and
• 11:06
the weather reports. Have an amazing day, my
• 11:10
good friends. We'll see you tomorrow with another

episode of Sunny Mornings in Boston.
