Elbert Jones at Magnolia Cemetery
Were off to San Francisco, not really, but were off to visit a man from San Francisco who found his final home in Charleston. Elbert Jones and his family minus one member made their final resting spot in Magnolia Cemetery. Elbert Jones sold tools and supplies to Gold Minors in San Francisco. HIs wife Sara was from Cuba and was pregnant at the time and was traveling to Charleston from Havana with her mother to go back home to San Francisco to deliver their daughter. Unfortunately Elbert never made it, yellow fever won. So there lay Elbert to make Charleston his forever home.
