- 0:00What's up y'all? You're listening to the extra
- 0:02point college football podcast. I'm your host Jacob Carter
- 0:05joined us always by my Co host Daniel Hammock.
- 0:07Daniel, Week 3 in the books. That means unfortunately, we're
- 0:1125% of the way through the college football season.
- 0:13I know some teams have played two games, but we're three weeks
- 0:15in. We're we're right at that 25%
- 0:17mark. And so we're learning about a
- 0:19lot of teams. Daniel, and mantra for this week
- 0:22is, hey, we've seen three games. Trust your eyes, like teams have
- 0:27through this point at least shown us a little bit or a lot
- 0:31of bit of who they are. Trust your eyes.
- 0:35And we have a couple more games, a couple more teams even.
- 0:37We're going to talk about today that I feel like haven't been
- 0:39tested yet. But man, after this week, it's
- 0:41kind of teams have put it on the field and it's time to trust
- 0:44what you know, trust your eyes, what they put on the field.
- 0:46We had a lot of good games this past weekend.
- 0:48Daniel, how you doing? Doing good.
- 0:51You said it, you said it correct.
- 0:53And there are a couple that snuck through the cracks,
- 0:55haven't played maybe anyone in their conference yet or
- 0:58something like that. We're going to need to kind of
- 1:00see that come out. But yeah, this has been this
- 1:04week was telling more good upsets, more, I mean, just some
- 1:08great games in every window where it was almost like you
- 1:12couldn't miss a possession. And that's honestly the best
- 1:15kind of football. So I was glued basically from
- 1:18noon until, you know, 11:00 at night, which is what I want to
- 1:22be. So it was awesome.
- 1:23I love it Daniel. Let's let's dive into our, you
- 1:26know our regular season, our show structure.
- 1:28If this your first time listening, we cover college
- 1:31football, it's a four quarter sport.
- 1:33Our end season show is 4 quarters as well.
- 1:36Here's we enter the first quarter of our show.
- 1:37Daniel, our first quarter, We go through one thing we learned
- 1:41this weekend. Daniel, what's one thing you
- 1:42learned after watching the games this past weekend?
- 1:44Yeah, I'm going to use a quote from head coach Brett Key of the
- 1:48Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. And he says when you see the
- 1:52Haines King gangster limp, then you're in trouble.
- 1:56And anyone who watches Georgia Tech regularly knows exactly
- 2:00what we're talking about. This man does not look healthy,
- 2:02ever. He is putting his body on the
- 2:04line he throws himself. If you see the meme of that kid
- 2:09from The Simpsons getting thrown through the window, that's
- 2:12that's Hank's king every game. With Hank's king face and a
- 2:17helmet on that kid, it was phenomenal.
- 2:19My gosh, yeah. So but they asked, they actually
- 2:22had Brent Key discussed that a little bit and he said, you
- 2:25know, he walks around normal and everything like that and he'll
- 2:28he'll kind of Sprint around in the game and be fine.
- 2:31But it's almost like it it locks him in when he gets banged up a
- 2:37little bit and he kind of locks in and really like hones in.
- 2:40And that's really where the game is 1 is when he when he's, you
- 2:44know, been touched up a little bit because he's he's that kind
- 2:48of guy likes to stick his nose in there.
- 2:50And he kind of grew up always trying to prove himself to his
- 2:52dad, who's a a football coach. So, yeah, impressed with the
- 2:55win, obviously, Georgia Tech over Clemson, kind of that fire
- 2:58drill at the end to kick that long field goal walk off.
- 3:02I mean, unbelievable, unbelievable.
- 3:04Great way to start our college football Saturday.
- 3:07And we talked about this, that Georgia Tech, when they hired
- 3:10Brent Key, I was worried about the hire because they had
- 3:15cheaped out and not, I mean, the biggest one was Willie Fritz of
- 3:18like Willie Fritz said, let me coach the bowl game.
- 3:21But allegedly, of course, you know, every coach is every
- 3:24school's first choice and only choice.
- 3:25You know, that he wanted away through the bowl game.
- 3:27Tech was like, no. And he wanted to, you know, pay
- 3:30raise for all of his staff to bring and they kind of didn't
- 3:33have the money. So they hire Brett Key and
- 3:35they've gotten Daniel just like a football coach.
- 3:38And that's what Georgia Tech needed was a football coach to
- 3:41come in and establish a culture, especially when, again, like
- 3:44your two rivals and teams you play every year are Georgia and
- 3:48Clemson. And so like, you need like
- 3:51physicality, composure, and like, I thought that that kick
- 3:55at the end to win was an encapsulation of that program of
- 3:59just, I mean, prepared. I think that's like when you
- 4:02look at Georgia Tech, like physical and prepared, which you
- 4:06have been able to say for years for Georgia Tech because that
- 4:08was perfect execution. I mean, I feel like that that
- 4:12program has embodied their head coach.
- 4:14And Daniel, you, you talk about Haines King and the the gangster
- 4:18limp. Is that what you said?
- 4:20Yeah, the gangster limp. That's what Brent Key called it.
- 4:23I'm looking at Georgia Tech schedule, man.
- 4:25They've got Temple at home, they go to Wake Forest.
- 4:28They've got a head coach was Virginia Tech at home.
- 4:31They go to Duke. They've got Syracuse at home.
- 4:35They go to NC State, they go to Boston College.
- 4:38After a bye week, they host Pitt and then they go, you know, to a
- 4:44neutral site in Atlanta and Mercedes-Benz to play Georgia.
- 4:48They're not going to have to use hangings King like that.
- 4:50I think into, I mean, maybe against again, I could be wrong,
- 4:54but like Duke on the road, maybe NC State, maybe, you know,
- 5:00Boston College looked awful. Syracuse doesn't look great.
- 5:02Maybe pit and then Georgia, like can you just get him healthy for
- 5:05Georgia? Can we be looking at
- 5:08realistically they're three, you know, like I think 9:00 and 3:00
- 5:12at this point should be the floor for Georgetown.
- 5:15Like that might be disappointing for sure.
- 5:17Nine and three. And last year, you look at it,
- 5:20when they were giving Haynes King some rest early on, they're
- 5:23putting in Zac Pyron, which was their initial backup before they
- 5:27discovered Aaron Philo, which is a very capable backup.
- 5:30So even if they play Philo, who's now the you know #2 guy, I
- 5:35I don't think they lose a lot in the sense that they can win
- 5:38games with him, especially Temple, Wake Forest, who's
- 5:43terrible, you know, NC State, a lot of these games, they should
- 5:46be in good hands. Not saying that they should go
- 5:49there, but maybe split the, you know, reps up a little bit.
- 5:53You don't have to give him the whole game.
- 5:55You don't have to run him so hard.
- 5:56That kind of stuff kind of play, you know, not necessarily, you
- 6:02know, with your left hand, but maybe you don't use the whole,
- 6:05you know, playbook because you don't have to.
- 6:06You just you got the win that most people were counting as a
- 6:10loss when they looked at the schedule.
- 6:12So you're already ahead of the game.
- 6:14So great job, Georgia Tech. I'm glad we talked about winners
- 6:17first, Daniel, because the one thing I learned is,
- 6:21unfortunately, Clemson's exactly who I thought they were.
- 6:24That's what I learned and I should have listened to myself
- 6:27for the past four years before being in on Clemson this year.
- 6:33And I'll excuse myself in that it wasn't just me, it was
- 6:36everyone. You know, I believed in them and
- 6:38you did them to everybody else. Because I think last year showed
- 6:41Clemson of like, OK, no longer a national powerhouse, but still
- 6:45owns the ACC right? Of like, which is exactly who I
- 6:49thought they were. And coming into the season, I I
- 6:51even said that line of I think they're going to go 12:00 and
- 6:541:00, but I don't believe for one second they can compete for
- 6:57a national championship. And it turns out I was right and
- 7:01wrong and that I'm right about their they can't compete for a
- 7:03national championship anymore. But man, I don't even know if
- 7:06they can run the ACC anymore given what they just did.
- 7:08The Georgia Tech. One thing we've been consistent
- 7:11about on this show is that hey, watch out for Clemson post 2020.
- 7:15Just went on a run of like one of the best quarterbacks in
- 7:19program history, Taj Boyd, generational talent, Deshaun
- 7:22Watson, one year of Kelly Bryant, generational talent,
- 7:25Trevor Lawrence. Like you hit three out of four
- 7:29quarterbacks in a row, which 99% of programs do not do in college
- 7:34football. And because of that, then you
- 7:36pair it with you had one top three class and really one top
- 7:41seven class for that matter, where you had this massive
- 7:44defensive line where you get all hits.
- 7:46It all clicked. You have the ACCS, all time
- 7:49leading rusher. It all clicked and it was
- 7:52covering up what we thought were some major problems for Clemson,
- 7:56which one of those being offensive line was consistently
- 7:58bad during that time period. But everything else is so good,
- 8:00it didn't matter, especially generational quarterback play
- 8:04and that they weren't recruit. They were developing great, they
- 8:07great evaluation, but they were not recruiting and adapting like
- 8:11other national title players. And again, the reason I'm
- 8:14comparing Clemson to other national title programs is
- 8:18because they won two out of three national titles.
- 8:21They slayed Saban and Alabama, Dabo raised the standard for
- 8:26this program and this I wrote all this down Daniel in my notes
- 8:30prior to Dabo going on his rant on Monday, which made it so good
- 8:34that I already had this ready. Because The thing is for Dabo
- 8:37complaining about people being like, you know, we, we, we won
- 8:41the ACC 7 out of 10 years. Is that good?
- 8:44Which we, we were talking pre show.
- 8:46By the way, if you've seen the Dabo rants, just go and find the
- 8:49question that was asked before he went on a 13 minute rant over
- 8:52an hour long press conference. By the way, the question that
- 8:55was asked was if you could have back one play on offense in the
- 8:59Georgia Tech team, what would it be?
- 9:00And then you got 13 minutes of a lot of the clips you've probably
- 9:03seen on social media. Well Dang of the reason people
- 9:07are comparing Clemson to that is because of the standard that he
- 9:10himself set at Clemson. And that's that's a compliment
- 9:12to Dabo and Clemson and that he's the greatest coach in
- 9:15Clemson history. He took that program from a good
- 9:20program to we should expect to compete for the national
- 9:23championship. That's what Dabo Swinney did at
- 9:25Clemson, build the statue. He could never win another game
- 9:28at Clemson and he's the greatest coach that program's ever had.
- 9:32But they went from regional to national like that.
- 9:35Overnight and again a program that everyone rooted for because
- 9:39again, when you have a dominant program, people want to root
- 9:42against Arth Vader. They want to root for Luke
- 9:44Skywalker and that's what Clemson was that they're going
- 9:46up against bam a year after a year and people are rooting for
- 9:49him. We're rooting for him right as
- 9:50fans growing up and look they ranked out of 68 power five
- 9:54teams power four teams. Excuse me, I'm they ranked 68th
- 9:58out of 68th and transfers over the last two years.
- 10:00Dabo has not adapted to the new wave of college football.
- 10:04They not only can't win a national title with OK G's, but
- 10:07it looks like they can't even win the ACC with OK GS.
- 10:11And I'll go to a program that's an old school rival of Clemson
- 10:14that does what Clemson should be doing.
- 10:16We've talked about this, and that's Georgia.
- 10:19Georgia's never going to rank top five in transfer classes,
- 10:22but look at George's win on Saturday.
- 10:26London Humphreys transfer, Colby Young transfer, Zachariah Branch
- 10:33transfer, Josh McRae transfer. In a game of margins, the
- 10:39players that made the biggest difference on offense and where
- 10:43Georgia was not good last year at receiver and not enough depth
- 10:47and different bodies at running back.
- 10:49Georgia went out and maybe, you know, Colby Young and Humphreys
- 10:52were two cycles ago, Branch and McRae were this cycle.
- 10:54Georgia went out and got pieces to add to their foundation of
- 10:58culture in high school recruiting.
- 10:59Kirby still says I want to get all my players from high school
- 11:02recruiting, but when some of those players leave, he's got to
- 11:05plug holes. That's what Dabo and Clemson
- 11:07should be doing because they had the foundation of national
- 11:10brand. Now I'm afraid they're losing
- 11:11that of now you're so far removed from those national
- 11:16championships that can players still going to believe Clemson
- 11:19can compete on the national title stage with Oregon and Ohio
- 11:22State and Texas and Alabama and Georgia.
- 11:24I think I learned is Clemson exactly who I thought they were
- 11:26for the past four years and I shouldn't have believed in
- 11:28coming into this year. They're one and two and sure,
- 11:31Dabo, you can go nine and three and go compete for the ACC and
- 11:34win a bowl game and say is that good?
- 11:36It is good. But what we've come to expect
- 11:39from Clemson is great because of what Dabo built and Clemson is
- 11:43not great. That's exactly who I thought
- 11:44they were. Trust your gut.
- 11:46Trust your gut, man. We jump into our two questions.
- 11:49We're in the second quarter now, 2 questions.
- 11:51We have my first question, Jacob, something that came as a
- 11:56result of this weekend's games. Is this smart to fire your head
- 12:01coach early or late if you're making that decision?
- 12:07I like to look in this a couple different ways, but you know,
- 12:11Virginia Tech fired Brent Pry after their abysmal start.
- 12:16Obviously they lost two SEC games, which somewhat could be
- 12:19excusable in the fashion they lost to Vandy.
- 12:21Maybe not. But the then they followed up by
- 12:24getting, you know, their doors kicked in by Old Dominion
- 12:27thought that was just a freight line that is not acceptable and
- 12:32then you add to it. UCLA also part part ways with
- 12:35Sean Foster their head coach after an O and three start as
- 12:38well. Jacob reason I'm even mentioning
- 12:41this. We're heading into week 4.
- 12:43The new transfer portal rules, NIL rules and red shirt rules.
- 12:49You could play in four games and red shirt once a coach is fired,
- 12:53there's an open window of 30 days for a transfer portal and
- 12:57all of these players are now eligible to go into the transfer
- 13:00portal And they are, you know, for whatever ones are are
- 13:04available, are able to red shirt and maybe keep a year of
- 13:08eligibility, go find a new home if they'd like to.
- 13:11It seems risky on one hand. The other hand is you want to be
- 13:15ahead of this. You don't want to just, you
- 13:18know, have a fake recruiting class and have a team have to
- 13:21figure it out, you know, all at all at once.
- 13:23Maybe your first one to hire somebody because you're the
- 13:26first one to fire. But I don't know, strategically,
- 13:29I would probably wait until after the 4th week just to get
- 13:34most of the players kind of locked in, not to be, you know,
- 13:38against player rights and everything.
- 13:39But I would probably as a stat, you know, try my best to just
- 13:44try to keep A-Team together and wait till maybe Week 5.
- 13:47What do you say? Yeah, I mean this is a business
- 13:50right? So sorry for the player rights
- 13:52but frights folks. But no one that added the NIL
- 13:55and transfer portal era and paying players is for player
- 13:58rights. This is all money they want to
- 14:00keep it sustainable. I mean, you had the most watched
- 14:04it was the most watched ABC 330 game since 2006 with George and
- 14:09Tennessee this week. So obviously the sports not
- 14:11hurting despite changes that even you and I are not a fan of
- 14:15like the expanded playoff, but sports not hurting.
- 14:18So it's a business that sucks. I would I think I'd wait.
- 14:23I just I've never been a part of these locker rooms, Daniel and
- 14:25so I you know, when the teams quit like Virginia Tech looks
- 14:28like they've quit. Is your hope that when you fire
- 14:31early that you know they're out on pry they've quit on him, but
- 14:37the linebacker coach who you're going to make into your.
- 14:40I don't know who they made into your head coach, but like they
- 14:43love him and he gets a spark. They get you to a bowl game or
- 14:47something right there where where players don't quit and
- 14:50you're doing it so that they do stay and that's going to be the
- 14:53only reason I see if the benefit of going early or having first
- 14:57choice at a head coach. But again, then it's like, if I
- 15:02mean, Virginia Tech's a really good example of how good is that
- 15:04job. CLAI think is just I don't know
- 15:08who's going to take that job. I don't.
- 15:10I can't even go near that. They're at least in the Big 10
- 15:13at least job like, you know, make money.
- 15:16You know, it's again, you're they're one of the ones getting
- 15:19cannibalized in the Big 10. But, you know, you can win at
- 15:23Virginia Tech, you can make money or you can, you know, have
- 15:27a stable program money wise at at UCLA.
- 15:30That's the thing, man, is UCLA's athletic department, you know,
- 15:33operated at a deficit. And someone said that, I think
- 15:36it was Bud Elliott on Twitter said like that.
- 15:39You know, at some schools it's hard to get either the fan base
- 15:42to buy in or the like, the school people, administration,
- 15:46the administration, thank you, UCLA, you're going to have to do
- 15:49both. Fans don't want it and the
- 15:50administration doesn't want. It it's the culture, yeah.
- 15:52It's a culture, man. And like, and then you've got
- 15:54USC across the street who is bought in from a fan base in an
- 15:58administrative perspective. So that's one thing.
- 16:02Virginia, it's actually interesting of how good of a job
- 16:04is it, because I've seen names like Clark Lee.
- 16:07Why would Clark Lee leave Vanderbilt?
- 16:09Number one is it's his alma mater #2 he's proven he can go
- 16:13make a bowl game, I think, and pretty consistently a
- 16:15Vanderbilt. He's in the SEC.
- 16:18Shane Beamer, again, You talk about the whole like floor
- 16:21stuff. If he can go average 7, you
- 16:24know, seven wins a year at South Carolina, they're not going to
- 16:26fire him. I don't think he does that.
- 16:28He averages eight wins a season. He'll go down as the second best
- 16:30coach in South Carolina history. So I just I'm curious.
- 16:34He's going to take a job like that because then you go to some
- 16:36of these high profile coordinators and I just think
- 16:38the current state of college football, they're smart to sit
- 16:41still, make a ton of money and wait for a dream job to open up.
- 16:44I mean, Kirby did it with Georgia, but I've been thinking
- 16:47about like a Shannon Dawson in Miami right now.
- 16:49He's going to be a name. It's that's how we talked about
- 16:52dude, he's smart to sit at Miami until the exact job he once
- 16:54opens up because they're just going to keep paying him.
- 16:57The Glenn Schumann at Georgia. They're going to keep giving him
- 16:59raise after raise after raise to keep him there.
- 17:01And he's not going to go take the Virginia Tech job.
- 17:04He's going to wait on. I mean, hypothetically, he's
- 17:07going to wait on an Auburn right in Alabama.
- 17:09He he's going to do what some of these other big coaches have
- 17:12done to wait on the big jobs to get back to you raised the
- 17:16question when's the best time to fire a coach?
- 17:19I'm just wondering what the advance like what's the they
- 17:22clearly did it for a reason. What's the advantage?
- 17:24I would tend to wait till later because I don't think these
- 17:26other guys are going to leave any earlier.
- 17:29Like they're going to consider their options too.
- 17:31They're not going to jump at the 1st jump.
- 17:33So I don't see the benefit of firing early.
- 17:35But I'm also not, you know, I'm not in the I don't know if it's
- 17:38a money thing. I don't know, I don't see the
- 17:40benefit to answer your question. Great question, though.
- 17:42My first question, Daniel, is the Ireland curse real?
- 17:46Just quickly Raska in 2022 they lose Northwestern and come back
- 17:51fashion. They went four and eight for the
- 17:55state last year coming off of their thirteen and one season
- 17:59ACC champs, they lose last second to Georgia Tech.
- 18:03They go to and 10. Kansas State loses in last
- 18:07second fashion in Ireland. They've started one and three.
- 18:10I picked them to win the Big 12. One of my regrets of the
- 18:12offseason they were they were the highest power rated team in
- 18:15the Big 12 picked by a lot of the media.
- 18:17They've started one and three. Unless they have a huge turn
- 18:19around, looks like it's not going to happen.
- 18:21Is the Ireland curse real? Maybe.
- 18:22Yeah, that the more I've watched Kansas State, the more I've been
- 18:27like, OK, is this the Madden curse?
- 18:29Is this the same thing like you lose in Ireland and it just
- 18:32never gets you, gets you going? It's weird.
- 18:36Yeah, that's, I mean, cuz that like we've joked about the Big
- 18:4012 being, you know, we don't know, but there is something we
- 18:44do know. We feel like Kansas State's
- 18:46going to be in it and it doesn't seem like they're going to be
- 18:50now at this point. So that's tough.
- 18:54That is tough. All right.
- 18:55Well, I'll jump into my last question then, which is still
- 18:58related to those firings, but also I feel like this is a good
- 19:04weekend to mention it. Has there ever been a bigger
- 19:08fumble of the bag than Nico? I just can't.
- 19:15Obviously, the transfer portal is newish, 5 years old or so.
- 19:19Same with NIL. It's ramped up, obviously in
- 19:22recent years as people have started to kind of figure things
- 19:25out, navigate things, Rep share, starting all of that.
- 19:30He obviously overplayed his hand in the spring.
- 19:32Everybody kind of knew that and then there was kind of a, you
- 19:36know, posturing of, you know, well, he just wanted to get into
- 19:39more of a prostyle offense and I actually do understand that.
- 19:42Like if that was an argument truthfully, you know, that has
- 19:45been a criticism of the hypo offenses that maybe those that
- 19:48doesn't it's great for Saturday's, maybe not great for
- 19:52a Sunday quarterback, or it may be slow, slow plays their
- 19:54development on the Sunday, you know, gridiron.
- 19:57But yeah, I just you you factor in that you know, he probably
- 20:03lost all. He obviously lost all of all
- 20:06nation as far as any sort of a, you know, a network of people
- 20:11for afterwards. Like if you know, if he's ever
- 20:13got a volunteer person who's going to do any hiring at any
- 20:17point in his life, they will not consider him, unfortunately for
- 20:21his sake. Obviously the the lost revenue
- 20:25and the additional taxes he pays.
- 20:27Also, you're going to playing, you know, in the middle of the
- 20:30night in the front of nobody, whereas in the SEC you'd at
- 20:34least be playing in front of full stadiums.
- 20:36You'd be talked about weekly. Even if they lost a couple
- 20:39games, they'd be talked about weekly and he'd his name would
- 20:42be around, you know, in the air. But man, 1/3 on the season and
- 20:51then fired head coach. They're playing in front of
- 20:54nobody in the middle of the night.
- 20:57And you have to weigh it against basically the trade that
- 21:01happened because Joey Aguilar was at UCLA with the intention
- 21:05of being their starting quarterback and ends up back
- 21:07east at Tennessee. And even though Tennessee lost
- 21:11this weekend, I mean, my goodness, they pushed Georgia to
- 21:13the brink. Aguilar looks very much the
- 21:17part, looks like one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC and has
- 21:21revitalized this Volunteer offense.
- 21:23It's exactly what Josh Hypel wants to do back to like what
- 21:27Hinden Hooker was doing for him. And he just got to sit back and
- 21:30think like, it just looks like Aguilar and Tennessee hit the
- 21:35lottery and got lucked into something.
- 21:38And Nico, who was the all everything high school recruit 5
- 21:42star, you know, the original NIL spend that Tennessee did was on
- 21:47Nico and his package to get him there.
- 21:50And it all comes crumbling down like it's it's just the ultimate
- 21:53fail. And we're only three games into
- 21:55the season, Jacob. Yeah, this is a just a classic
- 21:58example of listening to bad advice.
- 22:00I mean, I feel part of me feels bad for him because at the end
- 22:03of the day, he is a 20 year old kid who got told some really bad
- 22:09advice by people who say they care about him.
- 22:11I think it's a great exam. Just a a life thing of the the,
- 22:15the here and now versus, you know, thinking about long term.
- 22:20Yeah, Nika fumble the bag bad. Tennessee definitely won the
- 22:23train. Aguilar looks unbelievable.
- 22:24What are the oddities in the portal again this next
- 22:26offseason? For sure he could be in now.
- 22:30And where does he go? You know, like, does he go to
- 22:33like, does he do the like Malachi Nelson thing where it's
- 22:36like he's a like Idaho State, you know what I mean?
- 22:39Where it's like, yeah, these big schools are like, and this is a
- 22:42good thing, I think is like the the coaching community's
- 22:44connected. No one's taking a jab at another
- 22:47coach by taking Nico at this point.
- 22:48It's like, hey, we've all seen what you you spurned some
- 22:51coaches. Clearly not worth the
- 22:52investment. You're probably going to make
- 22:53even less money now for 1/3 time.
- 22:56Yeah, for his sake, I hope he gets it turned around and is a
- 23:00great NFL quarterback one day and learns from this.
- 23:03But yeah, he definitely, definitely fumble the bag.
- 23:05And my second question, what other teams or how many teams
- 23:09can win when they're forced to play a different style of game?
- 23:14I saw I've seen 3 examples of this this season, 2 examples
- 23:18this past weekend. Georgia goes down 21, seven.
- 23:21We said it was going to be a low scoring game.
- 23:23I think I said 2714 in there. And very quickly you realize
- 23:27you've already given it more points on 1/4 than you have to
- 23:29Josh Hypel in the last five years of playing them.
- 23:32So it's very quickly this is not going to be a we shut them down,
- 23:36run the ball, hold the ball, score 20 points and get out of
- 23:40there with the win. They give up 200 passing yards
- 23:42in the fourth quarter quarter alone.
- 23:43They win the game 4441. Lot of question marks about
- 23:46Gunner Stockton and the Georgia offense heading into this game
- 23:49about vertical passing threat. I thought it was Mike Bobo
- 23:52called one of his best games first play.
- 23:54They get that confidence for the quarterback.
- 23:56They throw a 50 yard pass first play of the game to go vertical.
- 24:00I said the solid verbal guy said this.
- 24:02They said has there ever been a better throw on like with the
- 24:06game on the line than gunner to London Humphreys on 4th and six?
- 24:10Like he was like, I'm not brave enough to make that throw in the
- 24:13video game. Like the stones to make that
- 24:16call and throw to the end zone with the game on the line with
- 24:19two minutes left on the road was unbelievable.
- 24:22So Georgia proved to me they can win a different style of game.
- 24:25Texas A&M, same kind of identity as a program under my Calco.
- 24:29They want to go. They want to go in Notre Dame
- 24:31and win 21 to 20 and they go and win in a shootout where they
- 24:35have to score in the 40s to win. So they've proven to me they can
- 24:38win multiple ways. Miami has already won a game.
- 24:41You know where you know, I know they've played USF, but we saw
- 24:44what USF can do. They can.
- 24:46Miami can go score 50 when they need to.
- 24:48Miami can go win a game of the 20s against Notre Dame.
- 24:51They did. Miami show multiple ways.
- 24:54Can Texas go win in a shootout? Can Ohio State go in a shootout?
- 25:00Can Oregon win a slobber knocker, you know, 17 to 14?
- 25:04Can LSU go in in a shootout? So I'm looking at a few teams
- 25:10that have shown me already they come in multiple ways.
- 25:12And I'm wondering how many other teams that we think are
- 25:15contending for the national championship can go win a game
- 25:19that goes differently to their team identity this year.
- 25:22And that's my question as we as we head into this the next 3/4
- 25:25of the season. Daniel.
- 25:27Yeah, IILSU is one that I had circled when you said that
- 25:33because the perception going into the year was that they're a
- 25:36shootout kind of a team. The defense is going to be kind
- 25:39of late to the game. So far they've been winning with
- 25:42defense, so I am interested to see if they're going to be able
- 25:48to kind of turn that around a little bit offensively.
- 25:52But yeah, if you heard Brian Kelly's comments after the game,
- 25:55which were kind of spicy in their own right, he he talks
- 25:59about how they coached to win it this way, Punter being involved
- 26:04in kicking, punting the ball five times inside the five or
- 26:08whatever it was, which was obviously that's great.
- 26:10And field position is a great way to win the game, especially
- 26:13if you trust your defense. But you know, team throws 5
- 26:17interceptions, you probably should have more than 20 points,
- 26:21especially if one of those goes to the house.
- 26:23So all that would be said, yeah, LSU is one that I would be
- 26:26really interested if they could win a different way than what
- 26:28they've shown us so far. So far, they can lock you down
- 26:30defensively, play field position and the one with clutch plays.
- 26:35There's going to be a game where they're going to have to go toe
- 26:36to toe with somebody there on their schedule.
- 26:39We'll see. We'll see.
- 26:41That's a good question, Jacob. Thank you.
- 26:43Let's let's head to halftime. We've got our updated XPR.
- 26:46If you're watching on ET or Spotify, you can see it on
- 26:49screen. Daniel #1 Ohio State #2 Georgia
- 26:523, Oregon 4, Miami 5 Ole Miss. You can see the rest at the
- 26:57Extra Point pod on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or on
- 27:01Twitter at Deep South Daniel at Jacob Karns with AK Daniel the
- 27:05top five. I think Ole Miss I'm still
- 27:07waiting to see on Ole Miss, but the numbers are screaming Ole
- 27:10Miss on the computers. At least I'm I'm still waiting
- 27:12to see on Ole Miss. But again, also the resume looks
- 27:15good. They've got two wins over ICC
- 27:17opponents already, so the numbers are going to look good,
- 27:20including one on the road right now.
- 27:22I think oregon's the best team in the country.
- 27:24That's that's my take right now. As far as teams, I've I.
- 27:26Agree. OK, yeah, dude, I was about to
- 27:29say that. Dude I yes they've looked the
- 27:32most impressive. They've won like, yeah, they
- 27:35looked the most dominant and sure, you can say like, well,
- 27:37they haven't played a good opponent.
- 27:39Again, watch how they win. And regardless of how low I
- 27:44think of this program, what they did to Oklahoma State was really
- 27:47impressive and everything has looked easy, which is what Egan,
- 27:52when you're an elite team, that's how it should look, is
- 27:55easy. I mean, it looks like Dan
- 27:56Lanning again has brought in a transfer quarterback.
- 27:59It's worked. I think him being with the
- 28:01program last year. This is a former 5 star so this
- 28:04he got a full offseason watching a Heisman Trophy finalist and
- 28:08Dylan Gabriel work the offense. He's more talented than Dylan
- 28:12Gabriel. So again, and they've made this
- 28:14look easy. The new guys are receiver have
- 28:16looked unbelievable. Penn State's at 10 on our list,
- 28:18Daniel and I think we're way ahead of this right now.
- 28:21No one's watched Penn State play.
- 28:23They're still ranked two in the AP poll.
- 28:25And again, a lot's been said about the AP voters and how
- 28:28incompetent a lot of them are. But like, has no one watched
- 28:31Penn State play? Because things have looked
- 28:34really difficult to the point where there's Penn State fans
- 28:37looking over at Missouri, who we have at 16 and saying Beau
- 28:42Purbullo looks really good. Drew, our has not looked good
- 28:46this season. So I think the people haven't
- 28:48Penn State in the top 2, still have not watched Penn State
- 28:50play. And they just see the final
- 28:52scores and they see three and O and they're like, yeah, we we
- 28:55thought highly of Penn State coming in.
- 28:56They're a national championship contender.
- 28:59You know, I had them I think down at 15 on my personal
- 29:01rankings. They just have not looked
- 29:04impressive. And I think if you're going off
- 29:05of what you've watched this year, I think it's, I mean,
- 29:09everyone has an opinion. I think it's just plain wrong to
- 29:11think they're a top two team right now.
- 29:14Yeah, you see Tyler Warren doing his thing in the NFL.
- 29:17Obviously he was such a big part of the offense, specifically as
- 29:21the main primary target for Draller, and he balanced the
- 29:26offense. The offense has the run game and
- 29:29Aller needed his security blanket in Tyler Warren.
- 29:33We were told we were promised Jacob that these transfer
- 29:37receivers were going to be the difference.
- 29:39I bought into it. I say that they are my Clemson.
- 29:42I believed I have them beating Oregon or Ohio State this year.
- 29:47I said one and one. I I they still could do that.
- 29:50I said they're going to go one and one in those games.
- 29:53Oregon's a whiteout game, so a lot of people circle that one.
- 29:55But I I basically was like, hey, they're going to win one of
- 29:58those games because they're big time.
- 30:00And maybe they do. And maybe these first three
- 30:02weeks have been them trying to get calibrated with those
- 30:06receivers, those new transfer whiteouts.
- 30:09But I agree, Jacob, it just is hard.
- 30:12It looks hard. There's been years where certain
- 30:14offenses just don't click and a first down is hard.
- 30:18A touchdown is hard. It had to manufacture everything
- 30:21and the three teams they've played so far have been severely
- 30:24overmatched. So it's not come to fruition or
- 30:27anything for for Penn State. They're about to start league
- 30:30play here coming up. So we'll see as as that that
- 30:33that part starts. But yeah, good call there.
- 30:37You mentioned Oregon, which I agree.
- 30:39I have them listed. I've got that in my notes.
- 30:41They're right now. They're the top team in the
- 30:44country as far as the eye test. Dante Moore, if you look at that
- 30:49recruiting class of quarterbacks, the top ten, he's
- 30:52the only one that's, I think he's the only one that's having
- 30:56success this season. Arch Manning is in that list as
- 30:58well. Not throwing shade right now.
- 31:00Arch looks hurt, but Dante Moore looks like the best quarterback
- 31:04from that class and I think he was #6 out of 10.
- 31:07So tuck that one away. I mean, Speaking of
- 31:10quarterbacks, I already done two teams, LSU in Texas of what's
- 31:13you know, Brian Kelly went on his rant about someone asking
- 31:15what's wrong with the offense or whatever.
- 31:16The question was what is wrong with she's offense because
- 31:21they've got the horses at receiver.
- 31:23They've I mean, they've they should have had a Heisman
- 31:26hopeful in quarterback. They did say on Monday that Ness
- 31:29Meyer's been dealing with since before the season something
- 31:31torso, which sounds similar to like JT Daniels in 2020.
- 31:35One, I was going to say yeah of a bleed.
- 31:37Kind of like that messes and everything throwing wise, Josh
- 31:40Pate said. You know, I guess, you know,
- 31:43he's much more connected than we are of he knew that going into
- 31:46the Clemson game, which is why it was so impressive they were
- 31:48able to go in and do that with a limited and injured quarterback
- 31:52and then Arch Manning. What's like both of those teams
- 31:54are just kind of question marks of neither one of your offenses
- 31:57have been explosive. You should have had Heisman
- 31:59hopeful quarterbacks. I had both of the quarterbacks
- 32:01going to New York in my preseason picks.
- 32:04Yeah. What is wrong with both?
- 32:06We both had Dante Moore, dude. Yeah, we did.
- 32:09We were. We were right on that one.
- 32:11One for three, you know, 7:00 and 12:00, we have LSU and Text,
- 32:14respectively. OK, a couple of the teams.
- 32:16Vandy. What if Vandy's just good man?
- 32:18We've got him at 19. I think I had him at 16 or 17.
- 32:22My personal rankings, I felt like, wait, did you pick South
- 32:25Carolina? Did you pick Mandy?
- 32:27I picked we. Didn't talk about the game but.
- 32:30I think I picked South Carolina dude.
- 32:31I've I had that siren song still happen with Lenora Sellers man
- 32:35and he has drug me into the deep water and I am struggling to
- 32:40swim right now so. Yeah, it is.
- 32:43I mean, I looked at it and said they had a common opponent, Van.
- 32:47You played them on the road. South Carolina played on a
- 32:49neutral. And this is again, my theme of
- 32:51like, hey, just trust your eyes, man.
- 32:52But I watched both those teams play Virginia Tech and one
- 32:55obliterated them. One had a pretty good win.
- 32:57What if? Van like there's I think there's
- 32:59individual players better at South Carolina.
- 33:02Obviously we know certain names, but Vandy just looks like a
- 33:06tough, hard nosed SEC football team.
- 33:08That's like a good team. They're not like they got 3-4
- 33:13running backs. They can all get you first downs
- 33:15and score touchdowns. They got a good offensive line
- 33:18quarterback. Obviously everybody knows Pavia
- 33:20doing his thing defensively. They make plays.
- 33:25Pavia is something we've seen go away from the sport, which is
- 33:28you have these COVID air quarterbacks where you know it's
- 33:31they're they're in their sixth years.
- 33:32So you had several teams, the quarterbacks where it's like
- 33:35they have so much experience in college, which weren't used to.
- 33:38Pavi is kind of the last of that breed where he's got so much
- 33:41college experience. Dude, Zach Calzada still out
- 33:44there? OK.
- 33:45That's true. He's a Yolo player, man.
- 33:48I'm he does not he is. He throws so many Yolo balls
- 33:51that just get caught and he is so just, I mean he is perfect
- 33:55for Vanderbilt. Yeah, I agree.
- 33:58It's all I think might be a top ten team.
- 34:00They're going to have their first Test to speak against
- 34:01Texas Tech. We're going to talk about them.
- 34:04And I'll again say everybody's sleeping on USC.
- 34:07They are far and above the best opponent, adjusted EPA, net EPA
- 34:11per play team in the country right now.
- 34:14They're playing. And again, they're going to play
- 34:15at 11:00 PM this week. So nobody's going to see him.
- 34:18We'll see how the Indiana, Illinois game turns out this
- 34:21week. But then they make a trip to
- 34:23Illinois, which I think with the first game where everyone
- 34:25watches them play, and we'll see how good USC is.
- 34:27I think that's gonna be very telling for the rest of their
- 34:29season. Those are my takeaways from our
- 34:30rankings. Daniel, any any other ones from?
- 34:32You. Oh, I don't think so.
- 34:34Hold on. I'm just doing one quick pan
- 34:36over to make sure Yeah, no, I I like where we're at.
- 34:40I like everybody. I think I think this is a good a
- 34:43good mix. This is, this is exactly as, as
- 34:47I see it. I feel like we're, I feel like
- 34:49this is way better than anything the AP or the coaches poll can
- 34:52do. We're on it man.
- 34:54And again, these rankings are meant to be BCS like so Daniel
- 34:58and I have input. Think of it as the AP and the
- 35:00coaches pull on the BCS ranking. We we pulled from some of the
- 35:03best computer models out there, including Kelly Ford, K4
- 35:06ratings, Brian Freemail, FBI, Bill Conley, SU plus just in a
- 35:10few. But we pull from these models to
- 35:12give you a both like I test S resume, best computer rated
- 35:16teams to give you a ABCS like poll, which I still think is the
- 35:20best way to rank teams. We can all complain about when
- 35:23we had it. Now that it's gone, it's like,
- 35:25man, that really was really pretty good.
- 35:27So that's our that's our XPR Daniel, it's headed to the third
- 35:30quarter. Tough one this week.
- 35:32A lot of good games on this weekend.
- 35:34What are three games that we're watching?
- 35:36We've got our eye on that that we're not picking this week,
- 35:39Daniel. Yeah, so I cheated last week and
- 35:42mentioned five. I think I'm going to do the same
- 35:44thing. I'm going to still mention three
- 35:45is the main one, but I'm going to give 2 honorable mentions
- 35:48because my goodness, college football.
- 35:50All right, two quick honorable mentions because I'm not really
- 35:53going to watch these games. I'm going to watch a little bit
- 35:55of them, but the rival reason that happened in the week 3, how
- 36:00about Civil War and the Apple Cup?
- 36:02OK, anytime your rivalry has a name and it's in state rival,
- 36:06I'm going to I'm going to care about it.
- 36:08I'm going to mention it. These fans care.
- 36:10I will just throw it out there that this is the best
- 36:12quarterback that this Oregon defense has had to play against
- 36:17Malik Murphy for Oregon State. Granted, he's thrown 5
- 36:21interceptions so far on the young season.
- 36:22They are O and three, so maybe not the great team around him.
- 36:26He's trying to make things happen, but he's a very highly
- 36:29touted recruit. Should be a good challenge at
- 36:32least. But they are 3034 1/2 point
- 36:34favorite. So don't, you know, focus too
- 36:37much on that. And yeah, Apple Cup, always a
- 36:40good one. Used to both of these games
- 36:42being at the end of the year. They happen now early on because
- 36:46of, you know, conference realignment and all of the such.
- 36:49All right, three games I'm watching, I'm thinking at least
- 36:55one of these might end up on your uniform list.
- 36:59First one, Ole Miss at home against Tulane.
- 37:03The old SEC throw down. Ole Miss 10 1/2 point favorite
- 37:06over Tulane. This one Ole Miss I agree with
- 37:10the metrics so far and why Ole Miss is, especially after
- 37:13watching them against Arkansas. Arkansas came feel like came and
- 37:16punched him in the mouth and gave them a very good shot.
- 37:19And Ole Miss with a second quarterback who I think might be
- 37:22their first quarterback, Trinidad Chambliss did.
- 37:25They are explosive offensively. They can run it, they can throw
- 37:28it. Lane Kiffin is in his bag.
- 37:31All that if he said Tulane is not an easy out and 10 1/2
- 37:36points is a lot of points against the Tulane team that can
- 37:39score the ball. So I might like Tulane with the
- 37:42points, Miami and Florida. This is where college game day
- 37:45is going. If it wasn't for Florida losing
- 37:47to South Florida, they might still be ranked because LSU is
- 37:51at least a ranked loss and this might be actually a good game.
- 37:54I'm glad that this game's happening.
- 37:56It's in state rivalry that doesn't happen all the time.
- 37:59You always get Florida, Florida State and you always get Miami,
- 38:02FL State. You don't always get Miami and
- 38:04Florida. These are like, you know,
- 38:06enemies in law, if you will, because they both hate Florida
- 38:10State, but they also hate each other.
- 38:11So there's plenty of hate to go around in that great state of
- 38:14Florida. Miami's a 7 1/2 point favorite.
- 38:18What's what's going to break first?
- 38:19Like is Florida going to, they've got a great defense?
- 38:22Are they going to be able to hold Miami at Bay and like not
- 38:27throw 5 interceptions and maybe be in this game and maybe give
- 38:30the ball to Jaden Ball who's their best player and maybe
- 38:33don't drop their quarterback back 55 times and maybe give
- 38:37Ball more than 8 carries? I don't know.
- 38:39I don't call plays, Billy Napier does.
- 38:42Maybe he should do something like that.
- 38:43Also, I call this one the Protestant Bowl.
- 38:46I don't know what it's actually supposed to be called.
- 38:47SMU hosting TCU, Iron skillet. They just the Protestant bowl.
- 38:52Methodist versus Christians, whatever you've got.
- 38:55Dallas versus Fort Worth, Taylor's oldest time.
- 39:00These people hate each other. TCU is a 6 1/2 point favorite.
- 39:05Obviously. Sonny Dykes left T or less SMU a
- 39:09few years ago to take TCU job. SMU is in the playoff.
- 39:11Last year kind of had a rocky start to the year.
- 39:16I like SMU with the points at home 6 1/2, but that one should
- 39:19be a high flying fun game as well.
- 39:20So those are my three games, Ole Miss, Tulane, Miami and Florida
- 39:24and SMUTCU. Love it.
- 39:26I'll I'll be watching all those games as well.
- 39:29Since you cheated, I'll cheat here too.
- 39:31One I'll award my and if my third quarter 3U matchups we've
- 39:34got our eye on, one I will award our uniform matchup of the week
- 39:40for week 3 was Tennessee and Georgia.
- 39:43It looked amazing on the field. The white color white for
- 39:45Tennessee and in color white color for Georgia looks great.
- 39:49Check her kneel and looked unbelievable on the I'm sure it
- 39:52looks great in person. It looked amazing on TV.
- 39:54So that helped with that uniform vibe.
- 39:56So that that one gets the award for week 3.
- 39:59Daniel 3 for this week #1 Oklahoma and Auburn.
- 40:02Again, these are two of my like top five uniforms, your top six
- 40:05uniforms in the SEC playing against each other.
- 40:08So that's an easy 1 for me. #2 Nebraska and Michigan to both
- 40:13games. We're picking big brands.
- 40:15Michigan can wear either any of their pants, honestly, and this
- 40:19one's going to look good as long as Nebraska doesn't wear black,
- 40:21which they're not in all red, which they were last week, so I
- 40:24don't think they will. And this one should be a really
- 40:26good one. And then lastly, USC and
- 40:29Michigan State, this one they should play every year in like
- 40:32have a new trophy. It's like a Trojan horse or
- 40:34something since it's the Spartan Trojans.
- 40:36I think that's awesome. These are two I mean, one, USC
- 40:39is a classic look. It looks great under the lights.
- 40:42I don't think that uniform looks so good under the lights.
- 40:45And then Michigan State, they kind of read their template a
- 40:47little bit, but to me it's kind of a modern classic in that they
- 40:51don't have a normal pants stripe, but the I like it's
- 40:54almost for the state esque where the the pants stripe and the
- 40:56stripe on the sleeves. It's like a Spartan pattern.
- 41:00It's minimal. It looks really good.
- 41:02It makes it a little bit different and they've got kind
- 41:04of a modern blocky font. I love the Michigan State green
- 41:07and white. I love the logo.
- 41:09I think it's a really good looking uniform, green and red
- 41:11and gold. I think you're going to look
- 41:12really good in the field together.
- 41:14Yeah, looks good together. If you want to, I'll call it one
- 41:17individual uniform. Oregon is wearing a a Field
- 41:20Knight Nike inspired uniform this week that looks really
- 41:23cool. The helmet is asymmetrical in
- 41:25that on one side it's wings on both sides.
- 41:28One side it's it's wings inspired by the Nike statue,
- 41:35like the goddess of victory that I forget who made the statue.
- 41:38It's embarrassing. And the other one's the classic
- 41:40Oregon like duck wing. So it's asymmetrical.
- 41:43It looks really cool. It's kind of like a black and
- 41:46like bronzy gold kind of based on the the I wish I would have
- 41:50brought the book over here of the color scheme of Phil
- 41:52Knight's book, the Shoe Dog. And they're playing Oregon State
- 41:55and rivalry game. That's going to look really good
- 41:58almost in Tulane. You mentioned can look good.
- 42:01I'm in on Tulane like half the time.
- 42:04Some of their stuff doesn't look good.
- 42:05That's a really, it's a really unique color combination.
- 42:07So they have some that looks really good.
- 42:09Interested to see what they wear at Ole Miss CF in north in North
- 42:13Carolina. That can be a really good one.
- 42:15Miami and Florida can be a really good one if there's not
- 42:17too much orange. Washington State and Washington
- 42:21I think can look really cool when I like, I love a
- 42:23Washington. Washington state.
- 42:24Where is that like anticrete Gray?
- 42:28Yeah, like a red helmet or something that could look really
- 42:30cool this weekend if they wear that.
- 42:32I'll mention a few that like let's on the on the cutting room
- 42:34floor. Daniel, those are the uniform
- 42:37matchups I'm excited to watch. Will award the uniform matchup
- 42:40of the week for Week 4 on Saturday.
- 42:43We into the fourth quarter that we've gone long on this one.
- 42:45I'm telling you, it was a great week of college football.
- 42:48Fourth quarter picking four games against the spread.
- 42:51I told you pre show I've got data, I've got notes because we
- 42:55have three games for most of these teams.
- 42:58Can't wait this first game. Really tough to pick though.
- 43:03Utah in Texas Tech Daniel, by my eyes, an estimation so far
- 43:08through three games, these are the best two teams in the Big
- 43:1112. We get the game in Utah.
- 43:13They're a three-point favorite, which depending on how you know
- 43:16which book does what with home field advantage, basically
- 43:19saying this, these teams are pretty evenly matched.
- 43:22This game is at noon, So what is that like 10 AM mountain time
- 43:27pre Utah early game? Who do you like in this match up
- 43:30between Utah? Texas Tech could be could very
- 43:32well decide the Big 12 Championship.
- 43:33Yeah, this is definitely, definitely in that realm.
- 43:38And now that we've had a few weeks to kind of let things let
- 43:41things play out, one of the media darlings, I'll say with
- 43:45Texas Tech because of their money spent and people starting
- 43:48to recognize them as a a big player potentially in the Big
- 43:5212, Utah, kind of just that old, you know, old head in the group.
- 43:57Everybody's like, ah, you know, they're probably washed.
- 44:00You know, we're going to wait and see.
- 44:03You know, that Winningham's not going to be there for very much
- 44:06longer. Is this his swan song season?
- 44:08You know, what's he what's he doing, dude?
- 44:11Dampier, Devon Dampier, quarterback for Utah has been
- 44:16very impressive this year. I know that they've I mean, I
- 44:19say they haven't played anybody That would include UCLA was
- 44:23their first game at UCLAAK Roseville match up and then just
- 44:29a couple of smaller teams after that that you look at Texas
- 44:32Tech, they started with a couple of smaller teams and then end,
- 44:35you know, with Oregon State. Both teams have dominated
- 44:39everybody they've played this year.
- 44:40So from that aspect, I feel like this is both of their first real
- 44:45tests of of anything. I like both quarterbacks in this
- 44:50game. Morton for Texas Tech, 11
- 44:53touchdowns already on the young season, almost 1000 passing
- 44:56yards. So they've definitely, you know,
- 45:00accumulated stats. One thing that's just rings true
- 45:04over and over when we make these picks, it's like Utah just
- 45:08doesn't really lose at home. So I'm just going to kind of
- 45:12hang my hat on something. I do know I'm going to trust my
- 45:14gut. The sexy pic is Texas Tech.
- 45:17They're, you know, very flashy. They've gone in the 60s twice
- 45:21already so far this year. You know, the lowest point total
- 45:25was 45 S Offense has definitely been there.
- 45:28I just something about Utah, man.
- 45:31I just feel like they're built for this.
- 45:34They're it's in their DNA. It's in their pedigree, their
- 45:37head coaches used to this kind of a game.
- 45:40He's not going to run, you know, if he was to get scored on a
- 45:43little bit. And I think they can make Texas
- 45:45Tech play a game that they don't really want to play.
- 45:48And I also did Dan Pierre being the leading rusher right now for
- 45:52Utah. Sometimes that worries me from a
- 45:54quarterback. But on early on in the season,
- 45:56all it tells me is that they just relied on him to get them
- 46:00out of some bad stuff. And if you've got a guy who can
- 46:03make plays with his legs, plays with his arm and you've got a
- 46:05pretty good defense at home, that's a lot of check marks for
- 46:09me. So I mean, Utah is what we got
- 46:12it at 4 1/2 for the points. Three, this is sorry.
- 46:15Three, it's come way down. Three, OK, OK, it's it's moved
- 46:18since I wrote earlier on my other so 3 I feel even better
- 46:21about so I'll take three. I don't need to lay 4 1/2 Let me
- 46:25lay three with Utah, the utes at home.
- 46:29Big new kickoff. For what it's worth, Utah the
- 46:32last three years, 15 and 5 is the home team.
- 46:34Straight up 13 and 7 against the spread as the home team to to
- 46:42support your claim here you were.
- 46:44You dive into some stats, Daniel, because this is a game I
- 46:46had a really hard time figuring out.
- 46:49It's a number three team and net EPA per play in the country #2
- 46:53net success rate in the country. Texas Tech number 7 and yards
- 46:59for play #4 net success rate. So both teams have been
- 47:02efficient, beaten bad teams. Well, Texas Tech you mentioned
- 47:06is the number one scoring offense in the country.
- 47:08They're putting up a lot of points.
- 47:10Doesn't always tell the full story.
- 47:11But that that success rate in the Archer play tells me being
- 47:14very efficient on a down to down basis, not just scoring a bunch
- 47:17of points on bad teams. Utah though #8 scoring defense
- 47:21in the country. So I'm actually going to start
- 47:24with Texas Tech's offense versus Utah's defense.
- 47:26So when Texas Tech is passing the ball, do you think this is
- 47:30about an even kind of game here? This is strength on strength.
- 47:33When Texas Tech is running the ball, I think this is a spot to
- 47:37pick. Can Texas Tech run the ball on
- 47:39the road to win? That's what travels.
- 47:41I think this absolutely can be the difference in the game.
- 47:44Texas Tech is 88th in the APA per play when running the ball.
- 47:48The Utah defense very, very good on early downs.
- 47:51They're first and second down when Utah's on offense, Texas
- 47:55Tech on defense, the opposite strength on strength is running
- 47:58the ball and that Utah's been very good running the ball.
- 48:00And you mentioned quarterback run as well, which does give you
- 48:03an extra hat, which leads to some of that efficiency.
- 48:06Texas Tech's rush defense has been very good Week on week is
- 48:09going to be when Utah's passing the ball.
- 48:11You also in Texas Tech is defending the pass.
- 48:13I don't trust Texas test secondary.
- 48:15Dimpier hasn't really had to test.
- 48:18Can he like throw the ball to win?
- 48:21Can Utah be explosive in this game to win?
- 48:24That's my question because they rank 113th so far in explosive
- 48:29pass plays and again, hasn't been a grip against great teams.
- 48:33Has this been by design or is it because they can't be explosive
- 48:37through the year? That's my question.
- 48:39Going into the game. I think we're going to have an
- 48:41answer. I think it's a very close game.
- 48:43You mentioned something as a home favorite.
- 48:45It's not just a home team. As a home favorite, Utah was 14
- 48:48and two straight up, excuse me, 15 and two straight up 11 and
- 48:52six against the spread. That's a 65% winning percentage
- 48:56against the spread. Give me Utah by 4 to cover.
- 49:00I think it's a close game. Give me Utah 3127 ish.
- 49:03Lay the points. I like the utes That felt really
- 49:07good to just start naming some stats in the season.
- 49:10It just felt. So freaky.
- 49:14All right, we're both on the we're both on the Ute side.
- 49:17That first one, let's go to Norman, OK, the return, Daniel,
- 49:22the return of Jackson Arnold. So Norman, a lot will be said
- 49:25about that. It may or may not decide the
- 49:27game. These are two good teams.
- 49:29Oklahoma's look very good to start the year.
- 49:32They've had that game against Michigan.
- 49:34Auburn's had their game on the road against Baylor to kind of
- 49:36prove they're they're a good team this year.
- 49:38They're both ranked in our XPR. Auburn at 22.
- 49:41Oklahoma all the way up at 6:00. Oklahoma's favored by 6 1/2 out
- 49:45of this morning. Daniel, who do you like in
- 49:47Norman? Yeah, this one.
- 49:48I mean, this is the ultimate like ex-girlfriend and you're
- 49:53showing off your new girlfriend. We all run into each other at
- 49:56the movies. Like that's what's going on
- 49:58right now. Auburn with Jackson Arnold, the
- 50:02Oklahoma cast off, if you will, and Oklahoma just claiming, hey,
- 50:07John Matier is what we were missing.
- 50:09And so far it looks like that looks like both of them improved
- 50:13with the transfer quarterbacks. Obviously it's not all only
- 50:16about quarterback, but that's definitely the highlight here.
- 50:20Jacob, this one's at 3:30. This feels like a classic like
- 50:23SEC, like last week, Tennessee and Georgia was at 3:30.
- 50:28And even though the, you know, ESPN puts the main attraction
- 50:32technically at 7:30, we got the best game at 3:30 last week and
- 50:37then this week is the best games at 3:30 again, I think.
- 50:41Love it. College game day.
- 50:42Missed out by not going to this game.
- 50:44I think it's because they just went to Norman.
- 50:46Yeah, you know, two weeks ago when they played when Michigan
- 50:50came to town. So I get it.
- 50:52I get they want to spread the wealth a little bit.
- 50:54I'm not mad at it. But dude, this one's going to
- 50:57be. This was going to be a big time
- 51:00classic. I think I, I think you're going
- 51:01to, there's going to be a lot of quarterback run that's going to
- 51:05decide this game on both sides. I think Metier with his legs
- 51:09outside the pocket, scrambling, throwing the ball down the
- 51:11field. Also his ability to scramble and
- 51:14get, you know, points, get in the red zone is going to be big.
- 51:17And then Jackson Arnold so far still has not really been tested
- 51:22through the air. He's not had to, He's been able
- 51:24to run the ball. They've been able to kind of
- 51:26win, you know, kind of the way they want to because they've had
- 51:31lesser opponents. Obviously that first game
- 51:32against Baylor, they were able to just run the run the rock and
- 51:36I, I feel good about Auburn's running game.
- 51:39This Oklahoma defense is different.
- 51:41Oklahoma will be able to make Auburn throw the ball and we're
- 51:45going to finally see we're going to see if Jackson Arnold has
- 51:48developed. He's got the receivers to do it.
- 51:51So we're going to see if that's the case.
- 51:52Oklahoma, I like their, their tight end, Kanak, Jaren Kanak,
- 51:57he's he's a been a big time playmaker already, you know, 245
- 52:03yards on the young season so far.
- 52:05He's their leading receiver. Actually.
- 52:07I I want to see who rises to the occasion for this moment.
- 52:11I like that the game's in Norman because that way Arnold gets to
- 52:14come back to where he was. It's not just playing his former
- 52:17team, is playing his former team at, you know, his former
- 52:21stadium. It's got all the makings for a
- 52:24classic. I trust John Matier more.
- 52:27He seemed that he's able to do both.
- 52:30He's able to be prolific in the past and the run game.
- 52:33I think that's what's going to be difference in this game.
- 52:36And I think the Oklahoma's defense is better than Auburn's
- 52:39defense overall. So give me Oklahoma.
- 52:41I'm going to lay the points. Actually, I'm going to lay the
- 52:44touchdown. So I'm just going to take
- 52:45Oklahoma straight up to win, but win by that touchdown to cover
- 52:49as well. But I I think we're we're in
- 52:51this one for the long haul. I think it's a four quarter
- 52:53game, yeah. This is which by the way, I
- 52:58might have not updated the sheet here I need to make, I'm going
- 53:00to check the line real quick, but it's 5 1/2 or 6 1/2.
- 53:03I don't know if it's come down. I don't care for what it's
- 53:05worth. Give me Oklahoma to cover as
- 53:07well. I what's the best unit on the
- 53:10field? Daniel?
- 53:11It's Oklahoma's defense. That's the, you said it like
- 53:14that's, that's the, the best unit on the field is Oklahoma's
- 53:16defense. You know, if you want to go top
- 53:18level stats, they're they're the number 4 scoring defense in the
- 53:21country #4 in points for play #4 in total defense, but they're
- 53:24also third and yards for play allowed #4 in 3rd down
- 53:28percentage. They're really good on 3rd down.
- 53:31So in Auburn's offense on the field, I think of Auburn can
- 53:35like hold on to the ball and run the ball.
- 53:36It's how they win the football. As much as football has changed,
- 53:39football hasn't changed. If they can slow the game down
- 53:43on time of possession, they're number Auburn is #4 in EPA per
- 53:47play, running the ball. Oklahoma's defense is 37th in
- 53:50that same category. Auburn passing.
- 53:53This is how they lose the game, Daniel.
- 53:54They're they're they're 64th and EPA per play passing against the
- 53:58most efficient passing defense in the country in Oklahoma
- 54:02against their former quarterback.
- 54:03Auburn has an incredible wide receiver duo in Cam Conan, Eric
- 54:07Singleton, probably one of the best wide receiver rooms in the
- 54:09SEC. They're going to have to win
- 54:13one-on-one because I think Oklahoma might have one of the
- 54:15best secondaries in the country. They're also number one in 3rd
- 54:18and 4th down success rates. Auburn's going to have to win
- 54:22one-on-one because I think Oklahoma can put more guys in
- 54:28the box to defend the run and then force Jackson Arnold to
- 54:32like, hey, we're going to leave guys one-on-one outside.
- 54:36We don't think you can beat us with your arm.
- 54:38And so I think they're going to put seven and eight in the box
- 54:41the whole night and just say we're OK giving up four
- 54:45hundredth of the air because we don't think you can do it.
- 54:48And I think that's how Oklahoma wins, especially if you know,
- 54:51like, hey, we we haven't been amazing with four guys to defend
- 54:54the run. Michigan was able to run the
- 54:55ball a little bit. That's how they win.
- 54:58On the other side, Oklahoma's offense.
- 55:00I think when Oklahoma's running the ball advantage and it goes
- 55:03to Auburn, they're outside the top 75 in the country in total
- 55:06rushing yards per carry, online yards and explosive runs.
- 55:10I think Auburn can run a light box and try to defend the run
- 55:13here. Auburn top ten in all this
- 55:14categories when passing the ball, though advantage OU.
- 55:18This is where Auburn secondary is not as good.
- 55:21So it's the it's the opposite problem in that they're going to
- 55:24have to put more guys. You know, they're going to have
- 55:28to run out and extra. They're going to have to run
- 55:29nickel and dime all night to different the pass and run a
- 55:33light box, which I think is going to allow Oklahoma to be
- 55:36more balanced on offense. I think this is just a bad spot
- 55:38and bad matchup for Auburn, especially being on the road.
- 55:42Auburn allows too many explosive plays.
- 55:46Auburn Alaska makes what's it plays Oklahoma forces Jackson
- 55:48Arnold to win through the air. All I can buy a touchdown,
- 55:51though I think lower scoring like 2720.
- 55:55And maybe it's you know, it feels like it's been Oklahoma's
- 55:58game the whole time. You know, like it's it's been
- 56:01it's been 27 to 13 for a while. And Auburn scores late to make a
- 56:062720. Yeah, lay the points with
- 56:09Oklahoma, similar to Utah. They're fourteen or two straight
- 56:12up at home over the last three years and 11 and 60 gets the
- 56:15spread as a home favorite over the last three years.
- 56:18So give me the Sooners. Also at 3:30 we go to the Big
- 56:2210, Nebraska and Michigan, the bus and bowl.
- 56:27Yeah, yeah. Look, Michigan on the road, 2
- 56:311/2 point favorite is Matt Ruin. Year three, the play Daniel.
- 56:35Who do you like in Lincoln? Yeah, if this is truly the
- 56:39busting with the Boys bowl, you know, do you like Taylor Luan or
- 56:44Will Compton better? I'm a Will Compton guy myself.
- 56:48He's what, you know, the straw that stirs to drink on that
- 56:51podcast. I think without him, Luan is,
- 56:55you know, jobless right now because Compton is the man great
- 56:59content. He's been a little too much of a
- 57:02believer in Nebraska, which he can't fault him.
- 57:04He loves his his alma mater that rule year 33 and O so far.
- 57:10This is the game. This is a huge game for both
- 57:14teams. Nebraska from the sense of if
- 57:18they've truly arrived, if they have arrived as a program, they
- 57:22will win this game. If this is truly like we're, we
- 57:27are part of the story of the Big 10 this year.
- 57:31When we are in the mix, we're not only going to be 9 and
- 57:36three, we're going to be 10 and two.
- 57:37This is the game that matters if you're in Nebraska.
- 57:41On the flip side for Michigan, this could be Bryce Underwood's
- 57:46like, announcement of like, I'm here and I'm here to stay.
- 57:51He could have had that moment in Norman.
- 57:53OK, he definitely didn't shrivel up, but it was you just saw a
- 57:57much better team, a really good defense.
- 58:00Michigan hasn't quite been ready for that moment so far this
- 58:03year. I like Michigan in this spot.
- 58:06I like, I think the pressure is on Nebraska, the home team, and
- 58:10I think Michigan's going to come in and, you know, Nebraska's
- 58:14like, oh, we've been building, we've been building, we've been
- 58:16building. And Michigan's like we had one
- 58:18bad year because we had the greatest year ever the year
- 58:20before that. And now we just paid a bunch of
- 58:22money and Bryce, Bryce Underwood is here and he just kind of, you
- 58:27know, steals the show. I think he can do that in this
- 58:29game is 2 1/2 point spread. I like Michigan by a touchdown.
- 58:33So give me new Wolverines, lay the points on the road.
- 58:38I I like this. I like the spot for Michigan and
- 58:41I think it's a vibes play. I think you're going to see a
- 58:43tight Nebraska team and I think you're going to see a loose
- 58:46Michigan team. It's ultimately going to lead to
- 58:49Justice Haynes running the ball, getting big first downs, and
- 58:53you're going to see Underwood just being a star.
- 58:57And he's going to have a moment in this game where it's going to
- 58:59make everybody remember his name, and he's going to be part
- 59:02of college football lore, you know, from this moment on.
- 59:05You've almost got, I'm taking Nebraska.
- 59:07You've always got me to change my pick here, Bryce Underwood.
- 59:09So I I went into it just thinking vibes, same thing.
- 59:13Nebraska's tight, like Michigan has nothing to lose.
- 59:18Nebraska's like clamoring for a big win like this.
- 59:20All the pressure in the world on them, none of it Michigan Matt
- 59:27rule your three man. It's it's really hard not to see
- 59:29the improvement. The Cincinnati game scared me.
- 59:32They've played a lot better the last two weeks.
- 59:34The opponents have been bad, but their efficiency has been really
- 59:36good. Maybe they needed that that game
- 59:38away from home in Week 1 to just against the Big 12 team to get
- 59:42the jitters out. You go win, you win your
- 59:44clunker, you move on. Chris Underwood ran the ball a
- 59:47lot more last week in the Connor Stallions Bowl.
- 59:50Michigan versus Central Michigan went he carried about 9 times
- 59:55for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
- 59:57Like, can he do that against Nebraska?
- 59:59Nebraska's offense has like a lot more In Sync since the
- 1:00:02sensei game. Again, Akron, Houston Chronicle.
- 1:00:07For what it's worth, when Nebraska's on offense, like
- 1:00:09they're number six in the country in EPA per pass attempt,
- 1:00:13Michigan's defense #51 huge advantage.
- 1:00:16Nebraska in in that area. When Nebraska's running the
- 1:00:18ball, they're number 57 in EPA, per Rush Michigan. 24 allowed on
- 1:00:23defense, third down success rate.
- 1:00:26This is this is a huge red flag for me for Michigan is Nebraska
- 1:00:29desert 19th in the country and 3rd down success rate.
- 1:00:31Michigan's defense, 99 in the country.
- 1:00:34And I think a big reason for this is the defensive flying has
- 1:00:37taken a huge step down from what they had the last three or four
- 1:00:40years there in that program. And you saw that against
- 1:00:42Oklahoma where the Oklahoma offensive line dominated up
- 1:00:45front when they had to go on the road.
- 1:00:47Michigan's offense, I guess the Nebraska defense, when Michigan
- 1:00:50is passing the ball, they're 53rd in the country and EPA per
- 1:00:53pass, where Nebraska has been really good in that area in
- 1:00:56defending the past #12 here's another like lopsided thing that
- 1:01:00Daniel is. Michigan's offense number 27th
- 1:01:03in the country. It's the top 30 in EAPA per run.
- 1:01:06Nebraska's defenseman 126. They've been terrible against
- 1:01:09the run. So I think Michigan's path to
- 1:01:12victory is a lot of running the ball because honestly, they've
- 1:01:16got terrible receivers. Like they've got nobody at
- 1:01:19receiver. So it's a lot of Justice Haynes.
- 1:01:22It's a lot of Bryce Underwood. It's doing 9 carries again for
- 1:01:25114 yards. And maybe last week was settling
- 1:01:28more into what their game plan is going to be moving forward
- 1:01:31this year. If they can keep Bryce Underwood
- 1:01:33healthy, the Michigan defensive line is not as good.
- 1:01:36They're going to have to commit more guys to stop the run.
- 1:01:39I think that's going to give Riola opportunities to have
- 1:01:41explosive plays and in a game of margin, I think it could be 1
- 1:01:45explosive play or Nebraska has better receivers for them to
- 1:01:48actually pull this out and win their underdogs at home.
- 1:01:52Michigan wants to run the ball. I think Nebraska can leave their
- 1:01:55corners on an island and just put it guys in the box and say
- 1:01:58we're going to stop you no matter what.
- 1:02:01And when a low scoring game, Nebraska wins. 2423 by 1, their
- 1:02:07dogs by 2 1/2. Give me the Corn Husker straight
- 1:02:10up, but I'll take the 2 1/2 points.
- 1:02:13Nebraska wins a big one and we start to look and say, oh boy,
- 1:02:17could you know is Nebraska back what you talk about in the
- 1:02:20offseason? So give me Nebraska in this one.
- 1:02:25We go to another Big 10 game, Indiana, Indiana and Illinois.
- 1:02:29Indiana college ball playoff team last year.
- 1:02:31Illinois high hopes coming into the season to be a team that
- 1:02:35gets into the College Football Playoff.
- 1:02:37This game could determine one of these teams getting into the
- 1:02:41playoff this year. Big big game Indiana at home. 5
- 1:02:46point favorites. Daniel, Who do you like in this
- 1:02:49game in Indiana? Yeah, I, I'm looking at, you
- 1:02:55know, their schedules so far, both of them haven't really
- 1:02:58played anybody, but I guess Old Dominion ended up being
- 1:03:01something in Indiana, you know, because Old Dominion beat
- 1:03:04Virginia Tech, Illinois beat Duke on the road.
- 1:03:08You know, that's that's really the best games so far that
- 1:03:12either one of these teams have played.
- 1:03:13They both dominated their lesser opponents.
- 1:03:15I really like both quarterbacks in this game.
- 1:03:18Fernando Mendoza was a a top transfer target by a lot of
- 1:03:23people and him in a landing with Kurt Zignetti in Indiana, I
- 1:03:27think it's a big deal. I really like his poise and
- 1:03:30composure in the pocket. I think that he raises the level
- 1:03:34of play of guys around him and I don't think a lot of stuff
- 1:03:36surprises him. He seems very like calm, cool
- 1:03:39and collected with the ball in his hand.
- 1:03:41I think that his leadership is going to do well for any end of
- 1:03:44this year. Illinois is one of these teams
- 1:03:46that's kind of like built in the coach's image.
- 1:03:48And like, Luke Altemeyer's been there for this is I think his
- 1:03:51third season after his transfer from Ole Miss.
- 1:03:54And then I think just, you know, this coaching staff, this team
- 1:03:59is just a rough, you know, you know, hard nosed team that
- 1:04:04mirrors something maybe from the SEC.
- 1:04:06And I know Indiana, you know, Kurt Zignetti had some choice
- 1:04:09words in the offseason about, you know, the SEC specifically,
- 1:04:14even though he's from the SEC as well about scheduling and
- 1:04:17different things like this. And then, you know, if he wants
- 1:04:20to see an SEC team, Illinois is it's kind of close the way
- 1:04:22they're built. Brett Bielmos from the SEC has
- 1:04:25had his time there. Obviously, you know, after after
- 1:04:29he left Wisconsin back in the day, but all that to be said, I
- 1:04:32kind of I, this is a 5 point spread from what I, I see on our
- 1:04:36sheet here, Indiana should win this game if they're at home.
- 1:04:41I'm taking points though. That's where my mindset's at.
- 1:04:44I like Illinois with the points. Illinois can win this game
- 1:04:47outright and I think that's why I prefer to just take the points
- 1:04:50in this one. I think it's going to be that
- 1:04:52that good of a game. I think this is going to be
- 1:04:54something that Illinois challenges Indiana's strength
- 1:04:59and their toughness and you're going to see them kind of lean
- 1:05:02on them over the course of four quarters.
- 1:05:03So it's two different 2 clashing of styles.
- 1:05:06But give me Illinois, give me the points, and we'll see how
- 1:05:09things shake out Saturday night. Very similar here, Daniel.
- 1:05:12I, I have no idea what's going to happen in this game.
- 1:05:15Both teams have played like, you know, Indiana was, played three
- 1:05:18high school teams and looked great.
- 1:05:20That's what Indiana did last year in these games.
- 1:05:22They just ran the score up on these teams that really didn't
- 1:05:25belong in the same playing field.
- 1:05:26I wouldn't always play Duke, but again, a high turnover game
- 1:05:29where they had less yards by like 200 and less of a success
- 1:05:33rate. But hey, when Duke throws you
- 1:05:35the ball four or five times, you just take it and go run up the
- 1:05:38score. College football rolled angle
- 1:05:40tails all this time. A good running game and a
- 1:05:43defense will travel well. Illinois 30th in the country in
- 1:05:46EPA per rush versus Indiana team is 49th on defense in that
- 1:05:50category in Indiana, third in EPA per rush against an Illinois
- 1:05:53defense that's 17th in that category.
- 1:05:54So yeah, I wanted to go into the game leaning Illinois of like
- 1:05:58hard nosed team, kind of rough up Indiana in this game, but
- 1:06:03Indiana's just been really efficient, man.
- 1:06:06You talk about loving the quarterback from those have been
- 1:06:07on fire. They have great receivers.
- 1:06:09They've looked really, really good through three games.
- 1:06:11I think it's a really close lower scoring game.
- 1:06:14Here's another stat I thought was going to go in the way and
- 1:06:16actually didn't go in the other I had in my head and I was only
- 1:06:19able to look at this for 2024. It's kind of hard to hard to
- 1:06:22see. If anyone out there has any
- 1:06:23websites to do this for me, please tell me.
- 1:06:25I wanted to see Daniel. When a team is ranked higher in
- 1:06:27the AP poll, but it's the underdog in the game, what's the
- 1:06:32record of those teams? In my head I'm thinking Vegas is
- 1:06:35smarter than you. So like for example, Illinois is
- 1:06:39ranked in the top 10. Indiana's what like in the
- 1:06:42teens, but Indiana's favored by 5.
- 1:06:44So like not just a 2-3 point spread, 5 in those games.
- 1:06:47Daniel, the team that is ranked higher but underdogs are worth
- 1:06:51the last year with three and one straight up three O and one
- 1:06:55against the spread. Notre Dame was ranked higher
- 1:06:58than A&M, but A&M was a three-point favorite.
- 1:07:00Notre Dame one outright. Utah was ranked above Oklahoma
- 1:07:03State. Oklahoma State favored by three,
- 1:07:05Utah 1 outright. Louisville was ranked the 100.
- 1:07:08Notre Dame by 1. Notre Dame was a 7 point
- 1:07:09favorite. That was the push against the
- 1:07:11spread. Notre Dame one Illinois and
- 1:07:12Michigan. Michigan was ranked lower, 3 1/2
- 1:07:15point favorite. It went over ranked higher.
- 1:07:16It went only one outright. So I'm going to middle this one
- 1:07:19with you. I'm going to say Indiana wins
- 1:07:21the game 2724 ish by three. I will take the five points
- 1:07:26because I have no idea what's going to happen when you have no
- 1:07:28idea what's going to happen. There's five points sitting
- 1:07:30there. I think you just take him and
- 1:07:32hold on to him. I think we're going to learn a
- 1:07:34lot about both teams in this game, so this will be really
- 1:07:36good for future picks and to see what these teams are going to do
- 1:07:40this season. That was our most packed episode
- 1:07:44so far in season and for good reason.
- 1:07:46We had some of the good games to talk about this week or XPR is
- 1:07:49really coming into shape. We've got big games this week.
