Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous Podcast with iHeartRadio. Hey, Almost
- 0:06Speaker 1: Famous crew. It's Deanna and Joan, and we are jumping
- 0:10Speaker 1: in to take over while Ben and Ashley are out.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I am so excited. We have a lot to cover,
- 0:16Speaker 1: a lot of stuff going on in Bachelor Nation headlines.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I don't know, Joan. I am like buckled up. I'm
- 0:23Speaker 1: so excited.
- 0:24Speaker 2: This is really good because, like, you know, we get them, like,
- 0:28Speaker 2: right up to the second that they air. So we have, like,
- 0:31Speaker 2: the latest breaking news in Bachelor Nation, which is Taylor
- 0:35Speaker 2: Frankie Paul's ex-fiancee Doug Mason spills on an unaired Bachelorette.
- 0:41Speaker 2: about meeting her kids and proposing despite doubts. I listened
- 0:45Speaker 2: to this podcast. I happened to listen to this today
- 0:47Speaker 2: while I was in my car going to pick up
- 0:48Speaker 2: my grandkids. And it was a crazy podcast. I'm going
- 0:52Speaker 2: to give you some of the things that happened. And
- 0:54Speaker 2: then you and I need to talk about this because
- 0:56Speaker 2: it's a lot. So Doug Mason is not holding back
- 1:00Speaker 2: and not holding anything back. And I know he's doing
- 1:02Speaker 2: that because the winner of Taylor Frankie Paul's unaired season
- 1:06Speaker 2: of Bachelorette broke down. his experience on the show for
- 1:09Speaker 2: the first time on October 13th episode of Bachelor Happy
- 1:12Speaker 2: Hour with Charity Lawson and Rachel Riccia. The season was
- 1:16Speaker 2: pulled from ABC's schedule before its planned March premiere. We
- 1:19Speaker 2: all know that following the release of a video showing
- 1:21Speaker 2: a 2023 domestic violence incident involving Paul and her ex-boyfriend
- 1:25Speaker 2: Dakota Mortison. Okay, so we all know about that. We've
- 1:28Speaker 2: all been wondering if this is ever going to come
- 1:29Speaker 2: back and it looks like it's not because now they're
- 1:31Speaker 2: letting him speak. Okay, so to me that's saying it's
- 1:35Speaker 2: not coming back. Mason, who Paul confirmed on The Secret
- 1:38Speaker 2: Life of Mormon Wives she had gotten engaged to before
- 1:42Speaker 2: they split, said he was initially trying to be respectful
- 1:45Speaker 2: of Paul, 33, and the series by not speaking about
- 1:48Speaker 2: his experience, but decided it was time to address it
- 1:51Speaker 2: after he saw her watering the experience down on on
- 1:55Speaker 2: Secret Lives of Mormon Weiss, I realized that, okay, hold
- 1:58Speaker 2: on a second, I need to jump out here and
- 2:00Speaker 2: express to people that it was heartfelt and I leaned
- 2:03Speaker 2: in fully. Their connection on the show was gradual, but
- 2:06Speaker 2: from their first meeting, he said he felt a sense
- 2:08Speaker 2: of safety with Paul. I didn't want to go into
- 2:11Speaker 2: this experience judging her at all, so I feel like
- 2:14Speaker 2: I had a soft spot for Taylor. The Taylor that
- 2:18Speaker 2: I met during The Bachelorette was sweet. She was sweet
- 2:21Speaker 2: and kind and generous, Mason 28 said. I loved Taylor
- 2:24Speaker 2: for who she was during the show, but of course,
- 2:27Speaker 2: since then, I've realized that true love is and that
- 2:30Speaker 2: it wasn't. What me and Taylor had on the show
- 2:34Speaker 2: was not real love. His feelings grew stronger around halfway
- 2:38Speaker 2: through the season, through the filming, particularly after he met
- 2:40Speaker 2: her three children, Indy 9, Ocean 6, and Ever 2,
- 2:43Speaker 2: which he knew was an important moment. Things got even
- 2:46Speaker 2: more serious. I was terrified, he said, of how he
- 2:48Speaker 2: felt after meeting her kids, knowing that a future with
- 2:51Speaker 2: Paul would hold. I knew I was ready to meet them,
- 2:54Speaker 2: but it was exhausting, mentally draining, emotional. The emotional toll
- 2:58Speaker 2: that it took on me was a lot. So he
- 3:01Speaker 2: met all three of her kids. So, you know, her
- 3:04Speaker 2: kids are from two different people. They're from her ex-husband, Tate,
- 3:08Speaker 2: and then the ever is from Dakota. And she also
- 3:13Speaker 2: met Tate Paul. So her ex-husband, he met, it was
- 3:17Speaker 2: not apparently on camera, but he met Tate and Tate
- 3:21Speaker 2: said kind of like, are you ready for this? Which
- 3:23Speaker 2: was like the question he had been asked by many people. Like,
- 3:26Speaker 2: are you ready for this? Like everybody knows her life
- 3:29Speaker 2: is crazy. And he kept saying, I think I am.
- 3:31Speaker 2: I think I am. But then when he was finally
- 3:33Speaker 2: kind of in her hometown, he started questioning things. Well,
- 3:37Speaker 2: I mean, what do you think about like this man
- 3:39Speaker 2: who has no kids now goes to Utah, He's a
- 3:43Speaker 2: California boy. He's moved all over the world, all over
- 3:46Speaker 2: the country. His dad was in the service, but he's
- 3:48Speaker 2: like a California boy. And now he's going to Utah,
- 3:51Speaker 2: which mostly Mormons, so not his religion. He's very religious.
- 3:55Speaker 2: All throughout this podcast, he talks about his faith and
- 3:58Speaker 2: about praying and about you know, his like, um, talks
- 4:02Speaker 2: with God and with Jesus, he talks about a lot
- 4:04Speaker 2: in this podcast. And, um, he says that, you know,
- 4:09Speaker 2: he got there and he was ready and then he
- 4:12Speaker 2: met her kids and saw her life and he got
- 4:14Speaker 2: kind of scared. And he also started doubting that she
- 4:17Speaker 2: was over Dakota and he had no reason for that.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Nobody suggested that to him, but all of a sudden
- 4:23Speaker 2: everybody was comparing him to Dakota. And he thought, am
- 4:26Speaker 2: I like a substitute for Dakota? It was crazy.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Okay, for starters, I'm a little hung up on what
- 4:34Speaker 1: he said. Okay, I'm a little hung up on, but
- 4:37Speaker 1: it was exhausting. Mentally draining, emotional. The emotional toll that
- 4:43Speaker 1: took on me was a lot. Is that in reference
- 4:46Speaker 1: to meeting him? her children, because he opens that quote,
- 4:50Speaker 1: I knew I was ready to meet them, but it
- 4:51Speaker 1: was exhausting, mentally draining, emotional. The emotional toll that took
- 4:56Speaker 1: on me was a lot. Is that in reference to
- 4:59Speaker 1: meeting her children? That's off putting to me as a
- 5:02Speaker 1: woman who has children like that just clearly shows it's
- 5:05Speaker 1: not a part that he was ready to take on.
- 5:10Speaker 1: But you know, I also, I'm like living this like
- 5:12Speaker 1: double-edged sword here because like he knew he got the
- 5:16Speaker 1: luxury of of knowing he was going on to meet
- 5:20Speaker 1: Taylor Frankie Paul. Okay. Everybody knows who she is. We've
- 5:24Speaker 1: all seen her on, you know, the show. We know,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you know, she's got these, you know, this whole thing
- 5:29Speaker 1: we all know, right.
- 5:30Speaker 2: He knew.
- 5:31Speaker 1: So to like, I kind of, I don't have a
- 5:34Speaker 1: lot of empathy when he's kind of like, oh man,
- 5:39Speaker 1: I was slightly overwhelmed. Like, I don't know, man, you
- 5:42Speaker 1: kind of knew what you were signing up for.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I know. And like we all know, and he talks
- 5:48Speaker 2: about in this episode that he knew that Like she
- 5:51Speaker 2: had all these lives that she was living. She had
- 5:52Speaker 2: her personal life, but like her personal life was aired
- 5:55Speaker 2: on TV. So everybody knows like kind of her background
- 5:59Speaker 2: and that that was going to be what he was
- 6:01Speaker 2: going to be going into. I mean, he knows that's
- 6:03Speaker 2: what she does. That's what she does for a living.
- 6:05Speaker 2: She is a secret life.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Anyone can Google her name and find her on social media,
- 6:10Speaker 1: her TikTok, her Instagram, and see what kind of stuff
- 6:13Speaker 1: she puts out. Not to mention a lot of the
- 6:16Speaker 1: madness that has taken place. You know what I mean?
- 6:18Speaker 1: The swinging issues. the divorce, Dakota, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,
- 6:23Speaker 1: the other women on the show. I don't know that
- 6:28Speaker 1: I am necessarily buying it. I believe that it was
- 6:32Speaker 1: likely a very difficult situation for him. You know what
- 6:35Speaker 1: I mean? I'm not underestimating that. You and I have
- 6:37Speaker 1: both been there, Joan.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Yeah, we know hometowns are exhausting, but I think they're
- 6:41Speaker 2: exhausting for the lead. I mean, the contestant, you know,
- 6:44Speaker 2: the guys or the girls only have to do one thing.
- 6:48Speaker 2: meeting there you're just meeting there's they're just meeting her
- 6:51Speaker 2: family she now has to introduce you know her family
- 6:53Speaker 2: to a lot of people i know when i did
- 6:55Speaker 2: hometowns like you i had to go meet four different
- 6:58Speaker 2: families it was exhausting it certainly was every day i
- 7:01Speaker 2: had to be on my um you know i'm meeting
- 7:03Speaker 2: a whole new group of parents like my parents and
- 7:05Speaker 2: kids like i had like a whole group and it
- 7:08Speaker 2: was you so you you get it and we get
- 7:10Speaker 2: it but i can't imagine why his would have been
- 7:12Speaker 2: quite so exhausting and if he knew what he was
- 7:15Speaker 2: getting into. And we know that he knew what he
- 7:17Speaker 2: was getting into. So I think that he's playing this
- 7:21Speaker 2: game a little bit. Do you think that he is
- 7:23Speaker 2: trying to be the next bachelor? That's the question right now.
- 7:28Speaker 1: As just a regular old viewer, I didn't need this interview.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I did not need this podcast episode. So much drama
- 7:38Speaker 1: has gone on. We had such a lapse in time
- 7:43Speaker 1: when everything has been put off the, you know, into
- 7:46Speaker 1: the back burner or whatever. I didn't really need this
- 7:48Speaker 1: interview with him. I didn't need to hear the details
- 7:52Speaker 1: or where he stands. So it felt unfitting to me.
- 7:56Speaker 1: It felt kind of weird. I'm unsure if they're positioning
- 7:59Speaker 1: him in a place for like, okay, let's, Let's do
- 8:02Speaker 1: a temperature check to see if people like Doug and
- 8:04Speaker 1: want him to be the next Bachelor or not. We
- 8:07Speaker 1: know that they are set to record. I'm sorry. We
- 8:10Speaker 1: know that they are set to tape another season. That's
- 8:13Speaker 1: what we've been told. But I have to admit, I'm
- 8:16Speaker 1: not so sure that it's going to get to that point.
- 8:18Speaker 1: The backlash from the Bachelorette. season canceling with Taylor, Frankie,
- 8:24Speaker 1: Paul has been quite overwhelming. I know there have been
- 8:28Speaker 1: a few really great losses in this, this whole bachelor
- 8:33Speaker 1: and bachelorette franchise and her season being cut was a
- 8:39Speaker 1: huge issue. I just don't know that I see it surviving.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I mean, and it like it had like a ripple
- 8:47Speaker 2: effect because when you don't have a bachelorette season, you
- 8:49Speaker 2: don't have the guys that didn't get picked to go
- 8:52Speaker 2: on Paradise. I think it just has a ripple effect.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It sets everything back many, you know, at least one season.
- 8:59Speaker 1: So now.
- 9:01Speaker 2: we missed a bachelorette season, so now we're one less
- 9:04Speaker 2: bachelorette forever, and now we're going to move into a
- 9:06Speaker 2: bachelor season, supposedly. Those normally have good ratings, and they
- 9:11Speaker 2: usually do better than bachelorette seasons, but huh, people are
- 9:14Speaker 2: kind of sour to the bachelor franchise. They're like, eh.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Joan, I feel like they have to play it really safe.
- 9:19Speaker 1: They cannot throw in another wild card like Taylor Frankie Paul.
- 9:22Speaker 1: They have to play it really safe if they're going
- 9:24Speaker 1: to do it. Someone who is just like, I don't know,
- 9:27Speaker 1: super cute, well-rounded, yeah, like heart of America kind of deal.
- 9:32Speaker 2: You almost need to have somebody that's been in the service,
- 9:34Speaker 2: is like a hero in some way.
- 9:36Speaker 1: So they almost need to pick... Another Andy Baldwin. He
- 9:40Speaker 1: was like, I believe he was in the Navy. He
- 9:42Speaker 1: was super handsome, really fit, very charismatic, all around like,
- 9:48Speaker 1: like nice guy is what he came off as, you know,
- 9:51Speaker 1: very polished, very kind and polite and chivalrous. Like that's
- 9:55Speaker 1: almost what they need to get back to, you know.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been hearing there is a doctor and they
- 10:03Speaker 2: even like I think I saw a tease of a doctor,
- 10:07Speaker 2: like somebody wearing a lab coat or something. So, I mean,
- 10:12Speaker 2: that could be a good thing. I mean, you know,
- 10:14Speaker 2: women always like a doctor. You feel like they're going
- 10:15Speaker 2: to take care of you. I mean, that could be
- 10:18Speaker 2: a positive choice.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I'm not sure if they can come back for this.
- 10:22Speaker 2: You and I both would love it if they do.
- 10:24Speaker 2: We love our Bachelor family, and we'd hate for it
- 10:26Speaker 2: to end. And we love Bachelor Nation, and we hate
- 10:29Speaker 2: for that to fade away. So my fingers are crossed.
- 10:33Speaker 2: I don't think this is the guy. I felt like
- 10:36Speaker 2: the interview was very... You need to listen to it, Deanna,
- 10:39Speaker 2: because it was very... He had these catchphrases he used
- 10:41Speaker 2: over and over and over again about empathy and being
- 10:44Speaker 2: an empath and about feeling comforted by Taylor Frankie Paul.
- 10:47Speaker 2: And you and I both met Taylor Frankie Paul at
- 10:49Speaker 2: the mansion when they brought all of us previous bachelorettes back.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And I'm not sure if comforting is the word I
- 10:56Speaker 2: would have used. How about you?
- 10:58Speaker 1: No. I believe that... Man... I feel bad even saying
- 11:02Speaker 1: this because of everything that she's been through. But she
- 11:04Speaker 1: was like a deer in headlights. She was very nervous, very,
- 11:08Speaker 1: very nervous. Like I could feel the anxiety just like
- 11:12Speaker 1: oozing off of her. She looked uncomfortable in a room
- 11:16Speaker 1: full of all of us, right?
- 11:18Speaker 2: And we were like there to make her feel comfortable.
- 11:19Speaker 2: We were there to envelop her to say like, you
- 11:22Speaker 2: have the same red sweatsuit as we do. You're one
- 11:24Speaker 2: of us. We are here to answer any questions you have.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Like way more support than.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Any of us ever got. I mean, we were just
- 11:30Speaker 1: thrown to the wolves basically when we did it. Well,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I think the difference is like we were nobodies.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I use that word very kindly, but I had never
- 11:39Speaker 1: been on television other than The Bachelor before. So for me,
- 11:42Speaker 1: it wasn't a job, Joan. Like I've said it many times,
- 11:45Speaker 1: I didn't walk away with a big paycheck.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Yeah, me neither.
- 11:48Speaker 1: It wasn't a job for me. And the difference being
- 11:50Speaker 1: is like now after seeing everything and the press and
- 11:54Speaker 1: Dakota and all of the other things, This was a
- 11:57Speaker 1: job for her. This was another paycheck for her. Do
- 12:00Speaker 1: I think that she was going to meet the man
- 12:04Speaker 1: of her dreams? Probably not, especially after seeing everything that's
- 12:08Speaker 1: taken place, the press, and then everything that happened on
- 12:12Speaker 1: Secret Lives of Mormon Wives this past season.
- 12:15Speaker 2: I watched that.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Her in the tub with what's-his-face and the mustache. I
- 12:19Speaker 1: was like, what is happening? It was like she got
- 12:21Speaker 1: a little taste of, I don't know, in her prime
- 12:26Speaker 1: and was really going to enjoy every second of that.
- 12:29Speaker 1: But I was going all in. We don't know Doug really,
- 12:33Speaker 1: because that season didn't get to air. So whatever the
- 12:37Speaker 1: interview is, if he is sharing whatever version of his side,
- 12:42Speaker 1: or if he is trying to look attractive to our
- 12:44Speaker 1: bachelor nation, bachelor nation, listeners and viewers, um, We don't
- 12:49Speaker 1: get the story with him because the season won't air.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So we don't really get to build a relationship with him.
- 12:56Speaker 1: So I don't know that he could actually carry a
- 12:58Speaker 1: whole season on his own.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, they have, you know, they have the season.
- 13:03Speaker 2: It's been produced, so it's ready to go. I mean,
- 13:05Speaker 2: they could watch him. They'll never get their reaction. Like,
- 13:09Speaker 2: they can watch it from their bachelor eyes because that's
- 13:12Speaker 2: all they have. They are not going to see the
- 13:14Speaker 2: public's eye.
- 13:15Speaker 1: So there's so much here, Joan. We could talk about
- 13:17Speaker 1: this forever and ever and ever. So we'll just have
- 13:20Speaker 1: to see how it plays out. And hopefully we get
- 13:22Speaker 1: another bachelor season to watch in the spring. Speaking of
- 13:37Speaker 1: our bachelor family, we have Peter Weber. I don't, not
- 13:40Speaker 1: sure if you know, he has a girlfriend who is
- 13:43Speaker 1: pregnant with twins, Jaden Carr. She was on social media
- 13:48Speaker 1: this week and she says womanhood is a superpower as
- 13:51Speaker 1: she prepares to welcome twins. Like I feel you sister.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I am with you with everything. Peter Weber's girlfriend, Jaden
- 13:59Speaker 1: Carr is reflecting on her pregnancy journey and The Bachelor
- 14:02Speaker 1: alum's pregnant girlfriend shared her candid thoughts on expecting twins. Carr,
- 14:08Speaker 1: who's expecting her first children with Weber, explained that carrying
- 14:11Speaker 1: her twins has been romantic for her. She says, pregnancy
- 14:16Speaker 1: is romantic, she wrote. I'm unsure about that one, Joan.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I don't know that I would describe pregnancy as romantic.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I've probably felt the less romantic in my entire life,
- 14:25Speaker 1: but that's neither here nor there. She says, quote, there's
- 14:29Speaker 1: something so precious and raw about what our bodies are
- 14:33Speaker 1: capable of, about how much we happily sacrifice for a
- 14:37Speaker 1: little soul we haven't even met yet. And I absolutely
- 14:40Speaker 1: agree with that. What a woman's body does is completely
- 14:45Speaker 1: fascinating and incredible, starting from conception and growing a baby,
- 14:52Speaker 1: growing twins in her case. She got two of them
- 14:54Speaker 1: in there.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Yeah. I feel like... the person that we're not talking
- 14:58Speaker 2: about here is Peter Weber, who is the worst person
- 15:00Speaker 2: I really want to know about. I'm like, how is
- 15:02Speaker 2: he handling, like, he can't seem to get out of
- 15:04Speaker 2: the headlines to save his life. Like, he was just
- 15:07Speaker 2: in the headlines because of the producer that wrote, you know,
- 15:11Speaker 2: the love producer, the one that wrote the book, about him, basically.
- 15:14Speaker 2: It was a little bit about her, mostly about him.
- 15:16Speaker 2: And kind of throwing him under the bus a little bit,
- 15:18Speaker 2: or throwing herself under the bus, really. And, you know,
- 15:22Speaker 2: he just keeps ending up in our headlines. peter slow
- 15:26Speaker 2: down stop i don't know yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Yeah well more will be revealed about peter weber but
- 15:33Speaker 1: like congratulations to them babies are what a gift and
- 15:36Speaker 1: what a blessing you know and it's good to see
- 15:38Speaker 1: them being so excited about parenthood you know we live
- 15:43Speaker 1: vicariously through our social media these days.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Yeah and she's beautiful so i'm sure they're gonna make
- 15:48Speaker 2: some beautiful babies two of them Okay, let's move on
- 15:52Speaker 2: because this is a really good one, something I really
- 15:54Speaker 2: am excited about. Ezra Freck, who's one of my favorite
- 15:57Speaker 2: people on Dancing with the Stars, he's the Paralympic gold medalist,
- 16:01Speaker 2: reacts to calls for him to be the next bachelor.
- 16:03Speaker 2: So speaking of our next bachelor, hey, how about Ezra Freck?
- 16:07Speaker 2: Ezra Freck, the two-time Paralympic gold medalist who has quickly
- 16:10Speaker 2: become a fan favorite on Dancing with the Stars, is
- 16:12Speaker 2: drawing calls to be the next bachelor. Pop culture podcaster
- 16:16Speaker 2: Morgan Page posted an Instagram video in support of the idea,
- 16:19Speaker 2: calling Freck the fresh start the ABC dating franchise needs.
- 16:24Speaker 2: So true.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Now I can get on board with this, Joan. Me too.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I love him. Doug, I'm unsure, but, like, we love Ezra.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I'm not sure if you've gotten to listen to our
- 16:33Speaker 1: Dancing with the Stars recap, but, like, let's make him
- 16:36Speaker 1: the next Bachelor.
- 16:37Speaker 2: And it said it would save them for sure. Everyone
- 16:40Speaker 2: loves him, she commented on her post. And then, I
- 16:42Speaker 2: love the idea. He would be perfect, added another. However,
- 16:46Speaker 2: many replied that 21-year-old is too young for the job,
- 16:49Speaker 2: including the fellow Dancing with the Stars castmate, alum, Bachelorette
- 16:53Speaker 2: Taylor Cameron. He would know. I agree with him. 21
- 16:56Speaker 2: years old is generally too young, but... I think Ezra Freck,
- 17:02Speaker 2: because of his disability, is actually a really mature 21-year-old.
- 17:06Speaker 2: He's been through a lot in life. He hasn't lived
- 17:09Speaker 2: the life of a normal 21-year-old, and he's a brave guy.
- 17:15Speaker 2: With his disability, he has become a gold medal Paralympic,
- 17:18Speaker 2: so he has a great work ethic. Hear me out.
- 17:21Speaker 1: This could be the change in the franchise that we
- 17:24Speaker 1: all need. I was honestly, and again, I'm watching Dancing
- 17:27Speaker 1: with the Stars every week. I don't remember that he
- 17:30Speaker 1: was so young.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I didn't either.
- 17:32Speaker 1: He seems incredibly mature, but it could be the change
- 17:36Speaker 1: that we need in the franchise. Yes, he's young, but
- 17:39Speaker 1: instead of it being this like run off into the sunset,
- 17:42Speaker 1: get married thing, like why can't we allow them to
- 17:45Speaker 1: date and have a natural relationship? Like he seems really mature. Yeah.
- 17:50Speaker 1: He's very well-rounded. He seems very kind, like a golden boy.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Like he could save it.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I freaking love him. Listen to what he says, though.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Freck was blindsided when told by the Post that his
- 18:01Speaker 2: name has been thrown around as a contender for the
- 18:03Speaker 2: coveted role. He says, really? Wow. I did not know
- 18:06Speaker 2: people were saying that. That is really, really funny, he said.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 18:10Speaker 2: That worries me a little bit. He said, I don't know.
- 18:13Speaker 2: I'd have to see. So, you know, obviously he's busy
- 18:17Speaker 2: training for the 2028 Summer Olympics, which is going to
- 18:20Speaker 2: be in L.A., so his hometown. And, you know... I
- 18:24Speaker 2: feel like maybe he's kind of talking like a 21-year-old
- 18:28Speaker 2: in those statements. Like, oh my gosh, that's so weird
- 18:31Speaker 2: and how funny. He's not saying, oh boy, what a
- 18:33Speaker 2: coveted role and how lucky I'd be to have that.
- 18:35Speaker 2: So maybe he doesn't really know. Maybe he doesn't know
- 18:37Speaker 2: anything about The Bachelor. He might not watch it.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Maybe he's never seen it because when you and I
- 18:41Speaker 1: were on, he was in kindergarten.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Well, I was on like three years ago, but I'm
- 18:46Speaker 2: the oldest person that's ever been on the show, so... Okay.
- 18:49Speaker 1: So he was in kindergarten when I was on Joan.
- 18:51Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 18:51Speaker 1: It's fine. It was like 20 years ago. And if
- 18:53Speaker 1: he is 21, I'm sorry. He was, he was a baby.
- 18:56Speaker 1: He was an infant. Oh my God. I don't feel
- 18:59Speaker 1: old a lot, but that just made me feel so old.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Whatever. He didn't close the door on it. He said,
- 19:05Speaker 1: I don't know. I'd have to see. So we like
- 19:08Speaker 1: our options, right? Bye. So I just saw this Instagram
- 19:21Speaker 1: reel of JoJo Fletcher. She reveals she was blocked from
- 19:25Speaker 1: going on Dancing with the Stars. You know, from Hannah
- 19:29Speaker 1: Brown to Joey to Tyler, Dancing with the Stars has
- 19:32Speaker 1: seen more than a few Bachelor Nation alums waltz their
- 19:35Speaker 1: way through the competition. But there's a reason JoJo Fletcher
- 19:39Speaker 1: hasn't made it to the dance floor yet. This is
- 19:44Speaker 1: a little scoop, she says. I was asked to do
- 19:47Speaker 1: Dancing with the Stars after my Bachelorette seat but this
- 19:51Speaker 1: was obviously 10 years ago. I was not allowed to
- 19:54Speaker 1: go on. I got asked and then got blocked by
- 19:58Speaker 1: The Bachelorette to not go on, which I was so
- 20:01Speaker 1: devastated about. Fletcher Tells Stylecaster at Mucinex Tampa Buccaneers tailgate
- 20:07Speaker 1: promoting the brand's 12-hour cold and fever multi-symptom.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Listen.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I feel you, JoJo. I also was presented with the
- 20:17Speaker 1: opportunity and was told I could not go on Dancing
- 20:19Speaker 1: with the Stars. I don't know what it is about
- 20:22Speaker 1: like they, you know, they want us to be seen
- 20:23Speaker 1: and not heard. But why do they allow some people
- 20:26Speaker 1: to go on and do really awesome opportunities, but not I.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Think so much has changed in Bachelor. So I was
- 20:35Speaker 2: actually interviewed for it. So, you know, it's come around, obviously,
- 20:38Speaker 2: since Hannah and Joe, like a lot of people are
- 20:41Speaker 2: allowed to go on now, like people that come right
- 20:43Speaker 2: for this. I mean, Charity Lawson went on like three
- 20:46Speaker 2: days after she stopped filming or I mean, practically after
- 20:49Speaker 2: they aired. So, and Kate and Caitlin Bristow won and
- 20:52Speaker 2: Joey won. I mean, we've had some really great bachelor
- 20:55Speaker 2: contestants on Dancing with the Stars. I was interviewed to
- 20:58Speaker 2: go on. I wasn't picked. So maybe it'd be better
- 21:00Speaker 2: if I was just told I couldn't go on.
- 21:03Speaker 1: No, at least you got the opportunity, Joan.
- 21:05Speaker 2: At least you got the opportunity.
- 21:07Speaker 1: You were allowed to go through the process. Like it
- 21:08Speaker 1: was almost like a gut kicker to be like, hey,
- 21:10Speaker 1: we'd like you to be on there. And then for
- 21:12Speaker 1: Fleiss and team to be like, absolutely not. Go back
- 21:15Speaker 1: to Georgia and hide in the bushes where you're from. Yeah,
- 21:17Speaker 1: go back.
- 21:18Speaker 2: To where you belong. Well, now they allow people. I mean,
- 21:20Speaker 2: then they even allow other things in vaccination. I mean,
- 21:22Speaker 2: Taylor Frankie Paul was posting on Instagram all throughout filming.
- 21:26Speaker 2: I mean, we couldn't even have our phones. We couldn't
- 21:28Speaker 2: even have our phone in our hand to like check
- 21:30Speaker 2: on our families. She's posting. So things are very, very,
- 21:34Speaker 2: very different now.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it sounds like it's absolutely changing.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm in love with the times. Okay, so we
- 21:39Speaker 2: have another Dancing with the Stars. story. Tyler Cameron reveals
- 21:43Speaker 2: fiance encourages flirty moves with Dancing with the Stars partner
- 21:46Speaker 2: Sharna Burgess. Dancing with the Stars contestant Tyler revealed that
- 21:49Speaker 2: his fiance gave him the green light to get down
- 21:52Speaker 2: and dirty on the dance floor with his partner. She's like,
- 21:55Speaker 2: touch her, touch her leg. Do what you're supposed to
- 21:58Speaker 2: do in the dance. Don't be a prude little middle schooler.
- 22:02Speaker 2: I like her. Which I tend to ask sometimes. Cameron
- 22:05Speaker 2: at 33 said, Tuesday during a rehearsal break. She's about
- 22:08Speaker 2: the performance of it all and making that come to
- 22:10Speaker 2: life because she was a dancer. So she understands this
- 22:13Speaker 2: is one of her dreams, he added. So she's watching
- 22:16Speaker 2: this thinking, come on, I want you to win. And
- 22:18Speaker 2: you got to do what you're supposed to do in dancing.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Dancing's sexy. I think that like he has to treat
- 22:23Speaker 2: it like that. And she's given him the green light. Yeah.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I mean, she sounds super supportive, which is like what
- 22:27Speaker 1: she should be. We've watched each week and she has
- 22:30Speaker 1: been there In the front row. I think it was
- 22:32Speaker 1: last week. He like goes over there and gives her
- 22:33Speaker 1: a rose. And I'm like, oh my God, they're the cutest. Oh,
- 22:36Speaker 1: I know. But right? We love to see them be
- 22:37Speaker 1: supported by their significant others.
- 22:39Speaker 2: I know. I'm a little worried that Tyler is going
- 22:41Speaker 2: to go much farther. Yeah.
- 22:43Speaker 1: No, don't you say it out loud, Joan. We love Tyler.
- 22:46Speaker 2: I vote 10 votes every single week for him. I
- 22:48Speaker 2: lose all my votes on him, but I'm just worried.
- 22:50Speaker 1: He's not. He's going to go far. Our young one, Tyler,
- 22:54Speaker 1: he's going far. We'll be there every step of the
- 22:57Speaker 1: way to watch him.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I'm with you. But I figured if he doesn't make
- 23:00Speaker 2: it all the way, then he'll make it to the
- 23:01Speaker 2: Bachelor cruise. And I want to hang out with him
- 23:03Speaker 2: on the cruise.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Why wasn't I invited?
- 23:06Speaker 2: You should be invited. Why the hell aren't you invited?
- 23:08Speaker 1: I don't know. All right.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Deanna, that was so much fun. I can't believe you've
- 23:11Speaker 2: never done headlines before. You're a natural. I hope we
- 23:14Speaker 2: get to do it again together sometime.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Joan, this was so fun. I was so excited to
- 23:17Speaker 1: do this with you today. We should absolutely do this again.
- 23:20Speaker 2: I'm in. Bye, Bachelor Nation. Bye.
