  - We wanna start the topic by saying that

  - we ask God for something new,

  - but when new finally arrives, it can feel

  - unfamiliar.

  - Whether it's a new opportunity

  - that may bring responsibility,

  - a new relationship that requires vulnerability,

  - a new season that may require different habits.

  - A fresh start can be exciting

  - and uncomfortable

  - at the same time. And

  - we know how to function in what is

  - familiar,
• 1:15
  - but new beginnings require us to learn again.

  - And sometimes we're afraid we'll repeat old mistakes

  - in a new season.

  - But the comforting

  - thought here is that we don't need to

  - enter the new season demanding perfection from ourselves,

  - although we'll probably do it anyway.

  - But we can enter

  - into it being dependent on God.

  - We can ask him to teach us how

  - to walk through the season
• 1:46
  - with us,
• 1:48
  - and you don't need to know how to

  - do everything

  - one day

  - all at once.

  - The key

  - is to remain teachable,

  - prayerful,

  - most importantly,

  - close to God.

  - That being said, let's go to the throne.

  - Father god, thank you for new beginnings.

  - Keep past mistakes from making us afraid of

  - Give us wisdom to learn,

  - courage to grow,

  - and faith to walk into this season with
