Transcript
- Prashanthi Nuthi: Hello Friends Every time we went to a restaurant and ordered a sandwich or a burger and it came with a pickle, my husband would slowly slide it onto my plate. And I love pickles and I love eating them all. Once when we were casually talking with friends, I said my husband doesn't like pickles. And suddenly he corrected me and said He loved pickles. But he used to slide the pickles onto my plate because he knew how much I loved pickles. And suddenly I was speechless. All these years, I had conveniently told myself that he did not like pickles and that's why he gave it to me. This time when we were at Waffle House and the food came, there was a pickle on the plate. Even before he could move the pickle onto my plate, I moved it onto his plate. He seemed surprised, but then he ate the pickles and I enjoyed watching it. That's when I got curious. How many times have I overlooked these pickles at work, at home, with friends? Someone who stays up late to take my calls. Someone who ensures that there's my favorite coffee in the pantry. So here's the microboost for you today. Think about someone who does something regularly that you have gotten used to. In fact, you have even told yourself that they're okay doing it. Pay attention. Maybe this is the pickle you have been overlooking for years. Maybe this is the time when you move the pickle onto their plate. Remember, small actions, big impact. Until we meet again next time, let's keep making impact together. Thank you.
