  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit be able to speak through this mic

  Speaker 1: and go through the listeners' ears and be able to
• 0:15
  Speaker 1: reach their hearts and minds and be able to apply

  Speaker 1: these verses to their lives. In the Lord Jesus Christ's

  Speaker 1: name I pray. Amen. And we're going to be in

  Speaker 1: 1 John chapter 4, verse of the day, and then
• 0:28
  Speaker 1: we're going to kind of let Spirit take it away.
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: And it's been an interesting day for me emotionally, but
• 0:37
  Speaker 1: I'm okay mentally. I'm okay with my faith. And I
• 0:42
  Speaker 1: always know that everything I go through, whether it is
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: good or bad, whether it is from God or Satan himself,
• 0:51
  Speaker 1: it's all temporary. But that internal Holy Spirit, joy, comfort, peace, patience,
• 1:01
  Speaker 1: Those things can never leave me. And that's by having
• 1:05
  Speaker 1: that relationship with Jesus Christ. Amen? So let's really jump
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: into it. I want to talk a little bit about
• 1:11
  Speaker 1: 1 John chapter 4 verse 19 in particular. And it states,
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: we are able to love God and other people because
• 1:18
  Speaker 1: God loved us first. There would be no love if
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: there was no God. There would be no love if
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: there was no world to love in. So we must thank... Him.
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: Not by just saying... Oh thank you God. And then
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: go about your day... And do what you love to do.

  Speaker 1: The truth of the matter is... Glorifying God. Here. On earth.
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: In result being glorified with Him... When we do pass over...
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: Into the next life. Because there will be life. There
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: will be jobs... We're not just going to be praising Jesus.

  Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong, that's going to be the biggest
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: harmony that you've ever experienced. Just imagine being at a gathering,
• 2:19
  Speaker 1: a family reunion, and you really feel at home. You're
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: excited before and during and even after you talk about
• 2:26
  Speaker 1: it and how that gathering was. It's like that in
• 2:30
  Speaker 1: heaven times infinity. Maybe I just made up a word,
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: but let's just say that there is no level of
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: comprehension of how great heaven really is. We can all
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: sit here and talk about it. But you want to
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: know something that Jesus talked about more than heaven? He
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: talked about hell. And you want to know why Jesus
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: talked about hell? Because he was preparing himself to go there.

  Speaker 1: And defeat Satan... In a way that where... When you
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: have that relation... With Jesus... Satan cannot touch you... Meaning
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: his enemies... I mean meaning... His demons... The enemy... Cannot
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: touch you... The fruits of the spirit... There's also... Not
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: so fruits... Of the spirit... And I want to break
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: that down... Because I've lived both lives... And I'm not
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: here to convince you which life to choose. I just
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: know what really resonates with me knowing that even though
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: I'm following Christ, it's not 100%, right? We all have
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: our own different journey, our own different way of proclaiming
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: and transforming And it's so interesting that the Spirit just
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: went off on this on just one verse. And it's
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: all about love. We're talking about love, not just lust.
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: The other L word. We've all gone through it. Now,
• 4:15
  Speaker 1: I can't say that lust can't turn into love because
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: look at us, right? Look at us as not so
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: good people. Being raised not in heaven, not in hell,
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: but here on earth. Having a mixture of seeing sin
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: and seeing good and seeing bad, seeing good. So then
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: we have the understanding of what really love is going
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: through life. A mother's kind of love for her children
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: is a different kind of love. The love that a
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: woman has for his For her man, it's a different
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: kind of love. Vice versa on that. The love for
• 5:06
  Speaker 1: what you are passionate about is a different kind of
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: form of love. But when we're talking about God's love,
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: there is no comparison. So being tapped in with that, right?
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: Let's dive a little deeper. Someone might say, I love God.
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: But if he says that and he hates another Christian,
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: he is telling a lie. He does not love other
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: believers that can see. So he surely cannot love God
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: when he cannot see God. This is the command that
• 5:47
  Speaker 1: God has given us. Anyone who loves him must love
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: other Christians too. Not the ones that just go to church.
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: Not just the ones that volunteer. Not just the ones
• 6:01
  Speaker 1: that just follow. It says all Christians. Everyone that believes.
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: Doesn't necessarily follow. And what I. Want to. Kind of
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: put into this context. As. A person that. can love
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: too much that can cling too much I'm not ashamed
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: to admit my shortcomings because as the Holy Spirit continues
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: to work on me because I release that I'm not
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: holding that in anything that is not his I'm going
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: to talk about I'm going to talk about how I
• 6:53
  Speaker 1: had alcoholism I'm going to talk about how I had
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: drug addiction. I'm going to talk about how I've had
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: toxic relationships. Not only did it take seven years for
• 7:07
  Speaker 1: me to heal from a relationship. But it also took
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: me seven years to follow Jesus. When I should have
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: been doing it over, we're talking 20 years. Yeah, 20 years.
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: I've been a believer in Christ. I accepted Jesus as
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: my Lord and Savior when I was 17 years old.
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: I am now 37. 36. This transition of just mediocre
• 7:47
  Speaker 1: kind of faith. I made it work because I was
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: living a double standard life and For me to be
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: able to not only say that, but understand someone that
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: is doing such, trying to hide it in, it must
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: be released. Whether you think it's going to hurt others,
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: it's really to relieve you from the bondage of holding
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: on to that grudge, that lie, that secret. That you
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: want to keep so sacred is actually holding you down.
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: It's holding you back. So sometimes when we really get
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: into it. I want to jump back into the verses.
• 8:37
  Speaker 1: And I want to go to actually 1 John chapter
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: 4 again. Verse 3. But if someone does not agree
• 8:47
  Speaker 1: to say that about Jesus. He does not have God's spirit.
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: That person has a spirit that comes from the enemy
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: of Christ. You have heard this. You have heard that
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: this enemy of Christ would come among us. Now this
• 9:02
  Speaker 1: spirit is already here in this world. We've all encountered
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: the enemy. And made friends with the enemy. We listen
• 9:18
  Speaker 1: to the lies. And that moment of pause is just
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: kind of gathering my thoughts. Gathering what's really here. What's
• 9:35
  Speaker 1: in these words of the Bible. Basic instructions before leaving earth,
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: of course, is something that we can abbreviate. But this
• 9:45
  Speaker 1: is being the instruction manual that God's people wrote. Now,
• 9:58
  Speaker 1: I don't understand the whole Bible. but what I do
• 10:02
  Speaker 1: know is that I believe it and the more and
• 10:09
  Speaker 1: more that I read it the more and more I
• 10:13
  Speaker 1: realize that it's a form of medicine Just like praising
• 10:20
  Speaker 1: with the worship music. And deep prayer and meditation, which
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: I've been able to obtain as well, it's so intimate
• 10:34
  Speaker 1: and it's so personal. And there's no matching it when
• 10:42
  Speaker 1: it comes to the relations that we have outside of
• 10:45
  Speaker 1: Christ's And this is just my experience. Because I can't
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: always be around people. People can't always be around me.
• 10:59
  Speaker 1: But you want to know who's always with me? That's
• 11:01
  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. Amen? So I got about four minutes.
• 11:06
  Speaker 1: And I kind of want to just do this randomly
• 11:08
  Speaker 1: and go back into the Bible. And then I'm just
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: going to pick out on my Bible app. We're going
• 11:14
  Speaker 1: to go into Hebrews. Hebrews. And verse chapter 7. And
• 11:22
  Speaker 1: I'm going straight to it as the Spirit would want
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: me to. Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2. As we run,
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: we must always look towards Jesus. He is the one
• 11:33
  Speaker 1: who trusted God completely. Our faith starts with Him. And
• 11:39
  Speaker 1: He will help us to trust God all the way
• 11:42
  Speaker 1: to the end. That even rhymes. Jesus accepted punishment on
• 11:46
  Speaker 1: the cross. He chose to receive much pain. He did
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: not think about being ashamed to die like that. He
• 11:55
  Speaker 1: knew that God had prepared something very good for him
• 11:58
  Speaker 1: that would make him happy. Now he has sat down

  Speaker 1: at the right side of God to rule with him

  Speaker 1: in heaven. So if God is going to put even

  Speaker 1: his own son through something of this magnitude... And pull

  Speaker 1: him out of it. He's going to pull you out
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: of whatever you're going through. That you think that is
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: so big that God can't fix. Surrender and be able
• 12:28
  Speaker 1: to give it to him and let him do it
• 12:30
  Speaker 1: on his time. You open up the door for peace, joy, happiness,
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: the fruits of the spirit. This doesn't need to be complicated.
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: It's not about just going to church. It's not all
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: about just reading the Bible. It's not all about just
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: praising and worship music. It's more about prayer. And how
• 12:57
  Speaker 1: we have that relationships with one another. We have to
• 13:01
  Speaker 1: have that same kind of relationship on a different form
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: of love with Jesus. And be able to understand that
• 13:18
  Speaker 1: that kind of relationship needs maintenance over and over and
• 13:22
  Speaker 1: over again. It's not just something that's going to be built.
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: Jesus is the foundation. We are the builders. So we
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: have to build on the foundation that the Holy Spirit
• 13:42
  Speaker 1: Is doing for us. What we could not do for ourselves.
• 13:50
  Speaker 1: It goes past. The mind's. Comprehension. And capability of understanding.

  Speaker 1: How much God really does love us. Even when. We
• 14:09
  Speaker 1: feel like it's all. It's all done. It's over. How
• 14:16
  Speaker 1: many times have you been in a situation where you
• 14:19
  Speaker 1: have somehow made it through when you thought and you
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: felt and you even said it that you couldn't? And
• 14:29
