- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists.
- 0:07Speaker 1: This week, it's the cast of a brand new space show,
- 0:11Speaker 1: Space Spaceship.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Space, the final frontier, and Hollywood's favorite little gimmick for
- 0:18Speaker 2: a show. Many shows have been made about space, but
- 0:22Speaker 2: this new show, Space Spaceship, well, it's a little bit
- 0:25Speaker 2: different than what you're used to. We sit down to
- 0:27Speaker 2: talk with the cast of the newest show, Space Spaceship,
- 0:32Speaker 2: to see how their spaceship really doesn't space.
- 0:35Speaker 3: So beam yourself up, set your phasers to stun, and
- 0:40Speaker 3: get ready to argue about minute details that they just
- 0:43Speaker 3: made up.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Let's listen in.
- 0:48Speaker 5: Gosh, it's been like A year since we shot, I
- 0:51Speaker 5: feel like.
- 0:52Speaker 4: I know. And another six months or seven months before
- 0:55Speaker 4: it comes out. Yeah, it's crazy. We got a long time.
- 0:57Speaker 4: What do you guys even do with yourselves?
- 0:59Speaker 1: I know. It's sort of like we're living in our
- 1:02Speaker 1: friends moment where it's the time before. And at a
- 1:06Speaker 1: certain point, you know, this is going to drop on
- 1:09Speaker 1: Paramount Plus and we're not going to be able to
- 1:11Speaker 1: go outside.
- 1:11Speaker 5: Yeah, literally.
- 1:14Speaker 4: It's going to rock everybody's socks.
- 1:16Speaker 6: It's going to rock and it's going to also take off.
- 1:21Speaker 4: That's good. That's really good.
- 1:22Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Thank you guys.
- 1:24Speaker 7: It's going to rock and it's going to take off.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I think we've been told that we can just speak
- 1:30Speaker 3: however we want and then they'll edit.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Anything that kind of violates the NDA.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Okay, great.
- 1:35Speaker 4: So we can go free. Oh, good.
- 1:36Speaker 6: I love an NDA pass.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Yeah, they're going to do a strict NDA pass. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 6: That's nice. Okay, I don't even know where to literally begin.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I mean, should we introduce ourselves and we can just
- 1:49Speaker 1: go around?
- 1:50Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that's a great idea.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I mean, obviously we pay homage to the original space series.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, yes.
- 1:58Speaker 4: The first one being Space Ship.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Of course, now we are spaceship, a spinoff of the
- 2:05Speaker 2: original spaceship. And we were talking about this before, but
- 2:09Speaker 2: if you were to read it, it goes space. then space,
- 2:13Speaker 2: then spaceship.
- 2:14Speaker 1: And to clarify, the space in the middle is the
- 2:17Speaker 1: space you'd take when you're typing it. So space, space bar, space, ship.
- 2:22Speaker 4: So yeah, and as I mentioned, we don't even need
- 2:24Speaker 4: to be saying this, right? It's implied. Space, spaceship. And
- 2:27Speaker 4: you don't ever say there's a space when there is
- 2:29Speaker 4: a space in any other sentence.
- 2:30Speaker 1: So this is an audio medium, right? So I feel
- 2:32Speaker 1: like we have.
- 2:32Speaker 4: To be extra clear. Sure, but I'm not talking like
- 2:34Speaker 4: I blank, am blank, David blank, right? Well, no, you'd
- 2:37Speaker 4: say I space, David space.
- 2:39Speaker 6: You wouldn't say blank.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Yeah, well, by blank is implied as space. Blank seems
- 2:42Speaker 4: like there's a missing word.
- 2:44Speaker 8: I think there's also a chance that there's going to
- 2:46Speaker 8: be one of those... Krylons underneath or whatever that's called.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Kyron? Kyron. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Krylon?
- 2:51Speaker 8: Krylon is my character. Sorry to jump into it.
- 2:54Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 2:54Speaker 3: You thought they were going to have your own character?
- 2:57Speaker 4: I know. Sorry. Your own character bouncing around? You just
- 3:01Speaker 4: said it? What was the word? What's the actual word?
- 3:03Speaker 6: It's Kyron.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I'm a Krylon, obviously. I know.
- 3:06Speaker 8: Hey, I don't want to spoil it since, you know,
- 3:10Speaker 8: it's not coming out for a while, but when you had,
- 3:16Speaker 8: you know, Ted do such an amazing job as the
- 3:20Speaker 8: original Krylon. The fact that I got to also be
- 3:24Speaker 8: of that race is absolutely wonderful.
- 3:28Speaker 5: It's crazy that you're of that race.
- 3:29Speaker 4: I can't believe it. Did you get to sit down
- 3:31Speaker 4: with him, Ted? We got to talk through email. That's nice,
- 3:37Speaker 4: that's nice.
- 3:37Speaker 8: Because after the whole show, he kind of disappeared from
- 3:40Speaker 8: the world, moved to Madagascar, I think it was.
- 3:45Speaker 4: So then we talked through emails. The tips he.
- 3:48Speaker 8: Did give me were good luck, oh and that felt
- 3:52Speaker 8: good that's good good you know just for somebody like
- 3:56Speaker 8: that to um even respond is amazing um i wrote
- 4:01Speaker 8: this three-page email yeah if you would print.
- 4:04Speaker 6: It out it would be three pages how did you
- 4:05Speaker 6: know the.
- 4:06Speaker 9: Pages um i said if you'd print it out yeah
- 4:09Speaker 9: yeah well because it's just yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 8: Yeah i'm just kind of sick for information yeah yeah
- 4:12Speaker 8: no i mean and i'm saying like maybe the font
- 4:15Speaker 8: would be like 12.
- 4:16Speaker 4: So three pages. It's a lot.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Yeah, totally.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Double space. And he responded with, good luck.
- 4:23Speaker 8: And I think just from that was enough for me
- 4:28Speaker 8: to go like, thank you.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Did you feel like it was a friendly good luck,
- 4:32Speaker 1: or do you think it was a good luck period?
- 4:36Speaker 4: There was a period there. Oh, shoot. But like, If
- 4:40Speaker 4: that's the whole email, I would hope that you'd end it.
- 4:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:44Speaker 8: Because if he put anything else, then I'd think that
- 4:48Speaker 8: there's a second part of that email and he just
- 4:50Speaker 8: sent it before it was done.
- 4:52Speaker 4: That makes sense. This was done. It showed me that
- 4:55Speaker 4: that was all he was going to say. He shut
- 4:57Speaker 4: the door. That's nice. But thank you, Ted. I hope
- 5:02Speaker 4: I do our race, our alien race, proud. I feel
- 5:07Speaker 4: like you did. Oh, thank you. I feel like you did. Hey, listen.
- 5:10Speaker 8: Spending seven hours in a chair to make sure that
- 5:15Speaker 8: my brows were just perfect.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's just for the brows.
- 5:18Speaker 4: It was just for the brow. Well, the brows are
- 5:20Speaker 4: the nerve receptors for the entire body.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Right.
- 5:24Speaker 4: For that race.
- 5:25Speaker 1: The Krylon people, or the Krylon aliens, I should say,
- 5:30Speaker 1: they speak through their eyebrows.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So getting your eyebrows done is like a it's it's
- 5:37Speaker 1: it's a matter of communication.
- 5:39Speaker 8: Well, I mean, yeah, they have to, you know, get
- 5:41Speaker 8: rid of this whole one, put the mouth on that
- 5:43Speaker 8: one and then glue your mouth shut and then glue
- 5:45Speaker 8: my mouth shut.
- 5:47Speaker 7: It's fascinating, too, especially and I don't want to like
- 5:49Speaker 7: spoil anything. But at the end of the season, when
- 5:51Speaker 7: we do see the meteor coming, we see it on
- 5:54Speaker 7: your brow.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 4: It shines back. Do it, do it again. It shines back.
- 6:00Speaker 6: It shines back and we go, oh my God, check
- 6:02Speaker 6: the ship.
- 6:02Speaker 8: Well, the thing is, is we've done all these episodes.
- 6:06Speaker 8: In my email to him, three pages, 12 point. I
- 6:10Speaker 8: was like, hey, how did you express yourself so much
- 6:13Speaker 8: and then go back to do all the VO later?
- 6:17Speaker 4: It was a big question you wish he'd asked.
- 6:19Speaker 8: I wish he answered and he said good luck because
- 6:21Speaker 8: that made me go, oh, it's going to be.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Harder than I thought. And it was. It was great
- 6:26Speaker 4: to be on set with all of you.
- 6:28Speaker 8: It was tough to have my mouth covered, only just
- 6:35Speaker 8: dynamic breathing through my nose.
- 6:36Speaker 5: I would say it's hardest during lunch.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Oh, lunch was awful. We didn't ask you questions.
- 6:41Speaker 5: There was no way for you to really respond.
- 6:43Speaker 4: And have you noticed, like, my nose is pretty fucked up.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I guess his was fucked up after years.
- 6:48Speaker 8: Because, like, just trying to do all liquid and just
- 6:52Speaker 8: snorting the shit out of.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Stuff was brutal.
- 6:53Speaker 7: And that's why I kept hitting up the group text
- 6:56Speaker 7: every weekend. Because we were in Vancouver and I was like,
- 6:58Speaker 7: I'd love to see each other on the weekends, but
- 6:59Speaker 7: it felt like when we were shooting, and I know
- 7:01Speaker 7: we have long hours on Monday through Friday, but it
- 7:03Speaker 7: did feel like Saturday and Sunday is the time that
- 7:05Speaker 7: we could.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Have hung out a little.
- 7:07Speaker 3: And you were so active on the group text during
- 7:09Speaker 3: the shooting because you couldn't speak to us, but we
- 7:10Speaker 3: didn't have our phones.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Yes.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Yeah. So like, you know, essays I'd write. They're haunting.
- 7:17Speaker 4: I look back at them.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Looking back at some of those memes were really funny.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I wish I could have reacted to them and.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Built on them in real time. Wow.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Hey.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Hey.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Look at them now. They still hold up. But yeah,
- 7:31Speaker 4: it was tough, but good. I mean, I learned lessons
- 7:34Speaker 4: early on.
- 7:34Speaker 8: I wish somebody would have told me, Ted, or whatever,
- 7:37Speaker 8: would have told me, hey, don't you gum before they
- 7:40Speaker 8: cover your mouth.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Because then it's just like, wow, that's their day.
- 7:43Speaker 6: What a hard lesson to learn.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:45Speaker 4: I mean, I swallowed it within... Let me think.
- 7:53Speaker 6: No, take your time.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I swallowed it.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Okay. I can't remember exactly. That was a long day.
- 8:01Speaker 4: But I had to have swallowed it because that's it.
- 8:03Speaker 4: But you don't have it now.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Yep, yep.
- 8:09Speaker 4: I'm good.
- 8:09Speaker 1: No, you don't have it.
- 8:10Speaker 4: That's good.
- 8:11Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:11Speaker 4: That would have been a long time now. A year ago? Yeah,
- 8:14Speaker 4: a long time. If you still have that gum in there,
- 8:16Speaker 4: that would be amazing.
- 8:17Speaker 8: Hey, my mouth felt numb, but I will say, watching.
- 8:22Speaker 4: You all work, And enjoy it.
- 8:24Speaker 8: And only express it through my eyes and through my
- 8:26Speaker 8: texts that you didn't receive until later.
- 8:30Speaker 4: But I was gushing in those texts.
- 8:32Speaker 5: You were so nice.
- 8:34Speaker 4: So nice. I loved everything. You were a fearless leader. Oh,
- 8:36Speaker 4: come on. Unbelievable. Guys, come on. Captain. Captain.
- 8:39Speaker 6: America's heartthrob.
- 8:40Speaker 4: The captain. Yes.
- 8:42Speaker 1: In Captain We Trust.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Yes. I saw your action figure. They made it. Yeah.
- 8:47Speaker 4: They haven't leaked it yet, but I mean, they, they
- 8:50Speaker 4: leaked it. They haven't released it yet, but man, it
- 8:52Speaker 4: looks good.
- 8:52Speaker 2: A purposeful leak and then not a release yet, but yeah,
- 8:55Speaker 2: I love it. I mean, I, it's, it's always been
- 8:57Speaker 2: a dream of mine to see myself as an action
- 8:59Speaker 2: figure and it's so fun that it's come to life.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Yeah, Fangoria exclusive. They leaked it to Fangoria.
- 9:05Speaker 5: Yeah, they leaked it on Fangoria. And the people that
- 9:08Speaker 5: are commenting on Fangoria are.
- 9:09Speaker 4: Oh, my God. I can't believe he has wings.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Yes.
- 9:12Speaker 4: And I'm like, yeah. Watch the show. Guys, we're redoing it.
- 9:14Speaker 6: It's a reboot. He's got wings. I don't know what
- 9:17Speaker 6: else to say.
- 9:17Speaker 4: It's a spin-off reboot.
- 9:18Speaker 5: I've got wings.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Wings on a spaceship.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Yeah, wings on a spaceship. And God, the comedy that
- 9:23Speaker 2: comes from the wings on a spaceship. Be all constantly.
- 9:27Speaker 4: I mean, what's the classic line? You don't need a fly.
- 9:29Speaker 4: We're in space.
- 9:30Speaker 9: You know?
- 9:30Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:33Speaker 8: But it was something about having them just gave you
- 9:36Speaker 8: just like, I don't know.
- 9:38Speaker 4: You were so brash. Yeah. But then the wings brought,
- 9:42Speaker 4: you know, because they were like butterfly.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Literally.
- 9:45Speaker 4: They're butterfly ass.
- 9:45Speaker 2: But they bring out a certain confidence because I could
- 9:49Speaker 2: never see the wings.
- 9:50Speaker 5: I could only feel them on my back.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Interesting. Right.
- 9:52Speaker 2: So sometimes, you know, sometimes now I'm like, put those
- 9:55Speaker 2: wings back on me. Having a tough day, having a
- 9:57Speaker 2: big meeting, I'm like, put the wings back on me.
- 9:59Speaker 4: So I can become Captain Crutch.
- 10:01Speaker 6: Give you that confidence again.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Captain Crutch.
- 10:03Speaker 6: And you're so young. Thank you.
- 10:04Speaker 7: You are like so young. Did you just like graduate
- 10:07Speaker 7: theater school and just.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Immediately booked it?
- 10:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I graduated NYU.
- 10:11Speaker 4: That's so crazy, huh? Yeah, it's crazy. It's been a
- 10:14Speaker 4: great dream. It was so lucky to get that audition.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:17Speaker 2: My mom is a big producer on the show, so
- 10:19Speaker 2: it was just awesome that she put me in front
- 10:21Speaker 2: of all the producers.
- 10:21Speaker 4: That's so lucky that your mom was... And also, your
- 10:23Speaker 4: dad was the original captain. My dad is the original captain.
- 10:26Speaker 7: I forget that that's also how you got the job.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 2: So the thing is, I tweeted some tweets about my dad,
- 10:33Speaker 2: about how funny it is, kind of like.
- 10:35Speaker 4: working with him and being around him. And they were like, well,
- 10:38Speaker 4: we have this spinoff.
- 10:39Speaker 5: I think you guys should do it.
- 10:40Speaker 4: That's awesome. You just got a tweet or a DM
- 10:42Speaker 4: on Twitter. Isn't that crazy? It's crazy. I mean, especially
- 10:45Speaker 4: since we haven't seen you in like 26 years.
- 10:47Speaker 5: How long has it been?
- 10:48Speaker 4: Where have you been? Well, since the show went off
- 10:50Speaker 4: and then I'm back. You're back. I painted houses for
- 10:54Speaker 4: 25 years. Oh, my gosh.
- 10:55Speaker 8: Oh, my gosh.
- 10:56Speaker 3: The same color? I painted every house the same color.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Wow. If you needed white, you called Daryl.
- 11:02Speaker 5: I remember things.
- 11:03Speaker 7: The last time I think I saw you on my
- 11:05Speaker 7: timeline was like rumors of you maybe being in Dancing
- 11:09Speaker 7: with the Stars.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Yes, yes.
- 11:10Speaker 6: And then everyone in the comments was like, who is that?
- 11:12Speaker 4: Yes, yes.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Yes, I heard you were considered for Celebrity Jeopardy.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Yes, so I have been considered for every celebrity adjacent
- 11:20Speaker 3: reality show.
- 11:21Speaker 4: That's crazy. I almost did I'm a Celebrity Get Me
- 11:23Speaker 4: Out of Here in the UK. Oh, whoa.
- 11:25Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 11:25Speaker 4: How do people not know the original Doipy?
- 11:28Speaker 3: The cyborg you know I have my fans shout out
- 11:32Speaker 3: to the doyps I love you guys you guys are amazing.
- 11:34Speaker 2: I love seeing them at the conventions it's You can
- 11:37Speaker 2: always tell there's always two.
- 11:39Speaker 4: There's always two Doips.
- 11:40Speaker 3: And they're wearing the exact headset that they sold, that
- 11:44Speaker 3: one weird makeup company sold. Guys, stop wearing those. Those
- 11:48Speaker 3: were recalled. Those have mercury in them.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Stop.
- 11:52Speaker 6: Kids, go to bed. They have mercury.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Kids, go to bed. There's mercury in those. Don't put
- 11:56Speaker 4: them on your head or in your mouth. Take the
- 11:59Speaker 4: mouthpiece out. You're going to get sick. And they won't.
- 12:01Speaker 4: They won't. They love it. But Doipy 43, I mean,
- 12:03Speaker 4: this is like the 43rd version of Doipy.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:06Speaker 4: In this universe, I'm really excited for people to see
- 12:09Speaker 4: the difference.
- 12:09Speaker 5: I mean, how does it feel to bring something new
- 12:11Speaker 5: to an original character?
- 12:12Speaker 3: It feels like I'm almost stepping into a past life. Like,
- 12:18Speaker 3: almost as if I'm becoming Cleopatra. You know, I'm not
- 12:23Speaker 3: him anymore.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Well, you're also not 13 years old anymore. I'm also
- 12:28Speaker 4: not 13. And I'm also, you know, not a youth
- 12:32Speaker 4: extra small.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Right?
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yes. I got bigger. I got buffer.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 12:35Speaker 4: I got fatter. Yeah. I got a lot. There's a
- 12:38Speaker 4: lot of layers under here now.
- 12:39Speaker 3: And I'm a different type of doypy.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Yeah. And I hope you see the new doypy in
- 12:44Speaker 4: my performance. I mean, yes. I think you were incredible.
- 12:47Speaker 4: I loved the original series. I loved watching you as
- 12:52Speaker 4: this child actor.
- 12:53Speaker 8: I mean, you were.
- 12:54Speaker 4: You know, on every cereal box you were, you know.
- 12:57Speaker 4: So charming, so cute. I feel so lucky. I had
- 12:59Speaker 4: your toy. I had the original toy. Oh, my God, yes.
- 13:02Speaker 8: Because I was just like, man, this is so fun
- 13:06Speaker 8: to play with.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 13:07Speaker 1: And your grape juice jingle, it got me through preschool.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Yeah, grape juice jingle. Do you want me to do it?
- 13:13Speaker 3: Yeah, please.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 13:14Speaker 6: I can't imagine what it would be like now that.
- 13:15Speaker 4: You're old singing it.
- 13:17Speaker 6: I bet it sounds funny.
- 13:18Speaker 3: If you want to give a belch, drink a big
- 13:20Speaker 3: old glass of squelch.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Oh, man.
- 13:23Speaker 5: It doesn't sound as good.
- 13:24Speaker 4: It's good stuff. It just is a little lower than
- 13:26Speaker 4: I remember.
- 13:26Speaker 1: He was 13 at the time.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it was much higher.
- 13:28Speaker 6: It sounded sweeter.
- 13:29Speaker 4: I do remember that. Yeah, look.
- 13:32Speaker 3: You know, I am so grateful for what I got
- 13:35Speaker 3: to do at 13. There's so many actors out there
- 13:38Speaker 3: that won't be able to do that in their adult lives.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Do I wish that I was a child star in
- 13:44Speaker 3: an era where everything was a little more regulated and protected?
- 13:47Speaker 4: No, I don't.
- 13:47Speaker 3: I loved everything I got to do. Get me in
- 13:49Speaker 3: there as a kid, cover me in metal, put metal
- 13:51Speaker 3: in my mouth. Let's go for it.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Can I ask, did you just like, freak out when
- 13:56Speaker 6: you got the call that we were gonna do this again?
- 13:58Speaker 4: And you were coming back?
- 13:59Speaker 6: Like, I can't imagine, like, you probably wished for that
- 14:02Speaker 6: every single day of your life.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Yeah, but I gave it up. You know, there was
- 14:05Speaker 3: a period where I was like, it's done. And then I,
- 14:08Speaker 3: the first response was no, no, no, not again.
- 14:11Speaker 4: I can't. I can't. You know, I just got rid
- 14:13Speaker 4: of the melanoma. It's so intense.
- 14:16Speaker 3: And that was an intense therapy that we got through
- 14:18Speaker 3: and surgery.
- 14:21Speaker 4: But now I'm back. You're back. It's cool because it's TV. Yeah. Yeah,
- 14:26Speaker 4: but I like that it's TV. I'm sure you.
- 14:28Speaker 8: Had fun painting houses white for a while, and it's
- 14:31Speaker 8: so good to see you again. Thank you.
- 14:33Speaker 4: I mean, I was cast pretty early, obviously after.
- 14:36Speaker 8: You, because you were the reason it was being made.
- 14:38Speaker 8: But I got cast pretty early, and I remember when
- 14:40Speaker 8: they said it was going to be digitally, that your
- 14:43Speaker 8: character was going to be digital now.
- 14:45Speaker 6: It made more sense when they first said that.
- 14:47Speaker 8: And then they were going to just hire a child's
- 14:50Speaker 8: voice to then be, even though it's, It's version 43.
- 14:54Speaker 8: It would still be the same size and age because
- 14:57Speaker 8: kids are going to love that.
- 14:58Speaker 4: I don't know if you guys have seen.
- 15:03Speaker 8: The toy for that character now, but it's not the same.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Doipy 43 is looking interesting. They weirdly didn't... They try
- 15:15Speaker 2: to cover you all in male, but.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Right.
- 15:17Speaker 2: And metal, but they just kind of left some pieces out,
- 15:19Speaker 2: like your stomach is kind of out.
- 15:22Speaker 4: And it's not covered, it's like flesh colored. We can
- 15:26Speaker 4: talk about it.
- 15:27Speaker 6: The metal is like, yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 3: It's flesh covered, it looks like you rubbed a pillow,
- 15:33Speaker 3: and then there's just makeup that has come off you.
- 15:36Speaker 6: It's like flabby metal, and I've never.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Seen something like that.
- 15:39Speaker 3: It's sharp metal, and then it does kind of force
- 15:42Speaker 3: this muffin top.
- 15:44Speaker 4: And I do wish they would give me something to
- 15:46Speaker 4: cover it. They said there's no metal that is shaped
- 15:49Speaker 4: like my muffin top. Well, it's so crazy, because when
- 15:51Speaker 4: we were shooting it, they were like, we'll fix this,
- 15:53Speaker 4: and we'll fix this in post. They really were saying.
- 15:55Speaker 4: They were.
- 15:56Speaker 9: They were.
- 16:06Speaker 4: They promised me.
- 16:07Speaker 8: We're going to fix it in post because this has
- 16:09Speaker 8: just got to be a problem or that's how you like.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Well, to be.
- 16:12Speaker 8: Honest, you always, in between setups, you would put the
- 16:16Speaker 8: robe back on.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Yeah. Do you blame me? Yeah.
- 16:19Speaker 8: And then you'd take it off and then it would
- 16:20Speaker 8: just be sitting in the middle area so that was rubbing.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Right, and then there was kind of lint and stuff
- 16:24Speaker 4: from the robe. Yeah, the makeup was kind of coming off.
- 16:26Speaker 8: Makeup was getting pulled off, and they were like, oh,
- 16:27Speaker 8: we'll fix it, because they were going to do the
- 16:29Speaker 8: whole thing in CGI anyway, so it's like, sure.
- 16:31Speaker 6: And now the toy's got the lint on it.
- 16:35Speaker 4: I would have shaved my belly. I would have shaved that.
- 16:38Speaker 6: It's gross.
- 16:39Speaker 4: It's male hair.
- 16:40Speaker 1: The toy maker was by your side day in, day out. Yeah.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I've never seen a toy maker on set like that.
- 16:47Speaker 4: I've never seen a toy maker call the shots like that.
- 16:50Speaker 1: The toy maker kind of said, you do what I say.
- 16:53Speaker 8: Well, to be honest, old cartoons used to be toys first.
- 17:00Speaker 6: Story second.
- 17:01Speaker 5: Story second.
- 17:01Speaker 8: So I think that's what they were going with. Now
- 17:04Speaker 8: when you're, action figure, when it does come out, it's
- 17:07Speaker 8: not really an action figure.
- 17:08Speaker 4: It's just a figure. And it's like, we're in action.
- 17:11Speaker 4: We're in action. We're also sitting. And the robot doesn't
- 17:16Speaker 4: even have a butt. They made him sit.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I think something happened with the Toymaker because we were
- 17:21Speaker 3: best friends for six weeks. We had one lunch, one-on-one.
- 17:24Speaker 3: He stopped talking to me. He was so cold to me.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I think I offended him.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Well, yeah, the toy maker said that you laughed about
- 17:33Speaker 1: his wife's job. Is that what the toy.
- 17:37Speaker 6: Maker said to you?
- 17:38Speaker 1: This is what the toy maker said to me.
- 17:40Speaker 4: The toy maker said you laughed at his wife's job.
- 17:43Speaker 1: So your wife, she works at Sephora.
- 17:47Speaker 4: His wife?
- 17:47Speaker 3: No, his wife is a secret shopper at Sephora, and
- 17:50Speaker 3: she got fired for eating all the lipstick.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Okay, that is, I'm glad I wasn't there.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Yeah, that's crazy. That woman sounds crazy. It does, but
- 17:59Speaker 4: you can't tell him.
- 18:00Speaker 1: That's just what the toy maker.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Said to me. You can't tell him that his wife
- 18:03Speaker 4: is crazy. Well, she's crazy though.
- 18:07Speaker 6: But look at your action figure.
- 18:08Speaker 8: I mean, it's not, I thought it was like a
- 18:10Speaker 8: pop figure at first, but then he realized it's just
- 18:13Speaker 8: a tube all the way down.
- 18:14Speaker 4: He fucked me. It's not like a big head. He
- 18:17Speaker 4: fucked me. It's not a big head and then a
- 18:19Speaker 4: small body. And do you understand? I know this. I'm
- 18:21Speaker 4: going to have to sign these. I'm going to have
- 18:23Speaker 4: to look at these every single bit.
- 18:24Speaker 6: Not that many people are going to want you to
- 18:26Speaker 6: sign it.
- 18:26Speaker 4: It's a tube, but then in the middle it pops
- 18:28Speaker 4: out a little bit.
- 18:29Speaker 8: It's like when you take a cupcake.
- 18:31Speaker 4: And you do the thing where you cut in half
- 18:33Speaker 4: and you put the bottom on top. That's exactly. what
- 18:35Speaker 4: it looks like. Thanks, guys. I know that.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Awesome.
- 18:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that's awesome. It's awesome.
- 18:38Speaker 6: Anyway, glad you're here and they made it work.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Yeah, happy to be here. Come on, let's jump into your... Okay,
- 18:43Speaker 4: let's jump into you.
- 18:44Speaker 8: Oh, okay.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Well, I'm in the hot seat then. Hi, I'm Chester Arthur.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I am, of course.
- 18:51Speaker 6: Chester A.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Arthur.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Yeah, Chester A. Arthur. I, of course, play Biggs the Hacker.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Biggs the Hacker.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I deal with a lot of sort of lengthy paragraphs
- 19:11Speaker 1: of technological exposition.
- 19:14Speaker 6: God, are you good at it.
- 19:15Speaker 5: We need you to be on set.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Yes.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 19:19Speaker 8: Man, the amount of times that I think my mouth
- 19:22Speaker 8: is covered, thank God, because I don't have to do
- 19:25Speaker 8: all of this techno babble.
- 19:27Speaker 4: It's all nonsense.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Can you do it for us?
- 19:29Speaker 6: Well, please.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Of course.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I was pretty off book for this section, so I'll
- 19:35Speaker 1: go ahead and do the arrival on the third moon.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:40Speaker 10: Yes.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I'll do the part where we're landing on the third moon.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Okay.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Captain, engaging vortex speed.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Go, go, go.
- 19:49Speaker 3: 15.
- 19:50Speaker 1: There's a problem. The third moon is putting out radiation
- 19:53Speaker 1: waves that are not congruent to the Y axis. We
- 19:56Speaker 1: have to double act the X axis in order to
- 19:59Speaker 1: get more hyperdrive. No, we're not going to get hyperdrive
- 20:02Speaker 1: that way. If we stay on the axis, we don't
- 20:05Speaker 1: get hyperdrive. We only get hyperdrive by putting the vortex
- 20:09Speaker 1: into 70 lock speed. 70 lock speed gets us into
- 20:14Speaker 1: the vortex that will get us black hole into the
- 20:17Speaker 1: gravitational pull. I bet my hat on that.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Nice. I bet my hat on that.
- 20:24Speaker 8: If you didn't have your sign-off or your catchphrase, I
- 20:26Speaker 8: was going to be like, this has to be it.
- 20:28Speaker 4: And when you said, I only know the part.
- 20:30Speaker 8: Where we already landed on there, I was like, please
- 20:32Speaker 8: don't do that part because you don't have it. This
- 20:36Speaker 8: was the part of us getting there that was very important.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Honestly, once we got on the moon, you didn't say shit.
- 20:42Speaker 4: I didn't say anything. when we get there.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I don't really say, when people are falling in love,
- 20:46Speaker 1: when people are having fights, I'm not really involved in that.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I am kind of just the break so that people
- 20:52Speaker 1: watching it know that something scientific is happening.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Just know that black hole could be a verb. Exactly,
- 20:57Speaker 4: get into black hole. 70 to black hole. And I
- 20:59Speaker 4: just wanted to, it's always been true.
- 21:02Speaker 8: If you watch some of the smaller episodes, the ones
- 21:05Speaker 8: that people don't know.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Of the original space show? Yes. Yeah. Of Spaceship? The original... Space.
- 21:12Speaker 8: But I call it Space Show now because since this
- 21:14Speaker 8: is Space, Space, Space Show, I call that one Space Show.
- 21:18Speaker 4: So that everybody knows it's the original. Yeah, yeah.
- 21:20Speaker 5: That's a good way to do it.
- 21:21Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Or Spaceship.
- 21:22Speaker 6: But the original, you're right. Black holes. There's a lot
- 21:25Speaker 6: more verbiage.
- 21:27Speaker 1: So science has improved just so much since then, you know,
- 21:31Speaker 1: and back then when they were doing the original show,
- 21:33Speaker 1: you know, people didn't know jack about black holes. They
- 21:36Speaker 1: thought it was a verb. They thought it was something
- 21:38Speaker 1: that you could do. You know, I think that there
- 21:40Speaker 1: was actually a term throwing around in frat circles where
- 21:43Speaker 1: it's like, dude, you're you're black holing me right now.
- 21:46Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:46Speaker 1: As in like, you're making me chug a lot of beer,
- 21:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna freak out.
- 21:49Speaker 4: You know? Oh, wow. That's where the verbiage started. Really?
- 21:53Speaker 4: That's interesting. I heard, yeah, this is what I heard.
- 21:54Speaker 5: It's like the whole X and Y axis is so
- 21:56Speaker 5: important to the show, too.
- 21:57Speaker 4: No, it's so important.
- 21:58Speaker 6: Can I just say, the glass.
- 22:00Speaker 4: The X and Y is.
- 22:01Speaker 6: The X and Y is.
- 22:02Speaker 8: The X and Y is.
- 22:03Speaker 4: The X and Y, we don't know where we are. No, no.
- 22:07Speaker 4: It's crucial to the show. You have to say it.
- 22:10Speaker 4: It's a two-dimensional... You have to.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Know where you are on a plane.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Especially when we're dealing with the pilot. If you look
- 22:20Speaker 4: at their screen, it's a grid.
- 22:23Speaker 6: It's a literal Y and X axis.
- 22:25Speaker 4: It's a Y and X axis. You don't need that
- 22:26Speaker 4: third dimension. You just need it to be.
- 22:28Speaker 3: X and Y.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Just get us there. Black hole is there. Just black
- 22:31Speaker 4: hole us there to the Y axis. At the end
- 22:33Speaker 4: of the day, bet your hat on it and black
- 22:35Speaker 4: hole us there.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Whenever I'm reading the script and I get to the
- 22:38Speaker 1: point that says I bet my hat on it, I
- 22:40Speaker 1: breathe a sigh of relief.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Thank God.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I love the writers, too, because every time I watch
- 22:45Speaker 3: some sort of sci-fi or fantasy thing, I always wonder,
- 22:48Speaker 3: why did they choose that word in English that we
- 22:50Speaker 3: all use.
- 22:50Speaker 4: And I love that your character has hats.
- 22:52Speaker 3: You're from the planet Zygog, and you guys still call
- 22:56Speaker 3: them hats.
- 22:57Speaker 4: It's so fun.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Well, we need something for people to latch onto, right?
- 22:59Speaker 1: In all alien species, you need something that we can
- 23:03Speaker 1: relate to. Sometimes it's love, sometimes it's parenthood, sometimes it's communication,
- 23:07Speaker 1: sometimes it's the societal expectation of hats. All species of
- 23:12Speaker 1: my alien race take off their hat when they're in
- 23:15Speaker 1: the presence of a lady.
- 23:16Speaker 6: And there you go, and that's relatable.
- 23:18Speaker 4: I love it.
- 23:19Speaker 8: Honestly, I know I just, because I'm just a bit,
- 23:22Speaker 8: I like collecting the toys of everybody. And seeing all
- 23:26Speaker 8: of the prototypes, I asked if I can get sent
- 23:29Speaker 8: all of them so I can play with them.
- 23:30Speaker 4: Obviously, I just looked at yours. Yeah, thanks. Appreciate it.
- 23:35Speaker 4: It's good to look at stuff.
- 23:36Speaker 8: The crazy thing about your character is it says, I
- 23:40Speaker 8: bet my head on it, but in order to make
- 23:42Speaker 8: it happen, you push on the neck.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Yeah. you push on the neck you have to like.
- 23:46Speaker 8: Push and like everything else is hard like a thing
- 23:49Speaker 8: and then there's it's a really soft neck and you
- 23:52Speaker 8: just push your two fingers.
- 23:53Speaker 1: You know and I think I got a little preview
- 23:56Speaker 1: of this happening because one time I awoke in the
- 23:58Speaker 1: middle of the night and the toy maker was standing
- 24:01Speaker 1: over my.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Bed oh yeah what did you say well.
- 24:03Speaker 1: I didn't say anything I was petrified by fear.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Don't talk about his wife and he.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Just you tell me brother he took he took two
- 24:12Speaker 1: fingers and he put them in my neck. And I said, what? What?
- 24:17Speaker 2: What?
- 24:17Speaker 1: What? What? What?
- 24:18Speaker 8: What? What?
- 24:18Speaker 3: What?
- 24:18Speaker 1: What? What? What?
- 24:19Speaker 4: What? What? What?
- 24:19Speaker 1: What? What?
- 24:20Speaker 8: What?
- 24:20Speaker 2: What?
- 24:20Speaker 4: What?
- 24:21Speaker 1: What?
- 24:21Speaker 8: What?
- 24:21Speaker 3: What?
- 24:21Speaker 1: What? What?
- 24:21Speaker 3: What? What?
- 24:22Speaker 8: What?
- 24:22Speaker 4: What?
- 24:22Speaker 1: What? What?
- 24:23Speaker 4: What?
- 24:23Speaker 3: What?
- 24:23Speaker 8: What?
- 24:24Speaker 1: What? What?
- 24:38Speaker 8: I would have done that now, too, if I think
- 24:40Speaker 8: about it. If I'm a toy maker, I would go
- 24:42Speaker 8: to some woman's house in the middle of the night,
- 24:44Speaker 8: push on her neck and see if she makes a sound.
- 24:46Speaker 4: See what happens. See, she talks. See, she talks. You
- 24:50Speaker 4: got to know. You got to know. You can't ask
- 24:52Speaker 4: him how to work that.
- 24:53Speaker 8: No.
- 24:53Speaker 4: You got to visit him at all costs.
- 24:55Speaker 6: No, you have to.
- 24:56Speaker 4: What's the inspiration for the hat? Can you tell us?
- 24:58Speaker 4: The hat? Yeah.
- 24:59Speaker 1: What's the inspiration for it?
- 25:00Speaker 4: What's it based off?
- 25:01Speaker 1: Oh, the hat is based off of, you know, those
- 25:05Speaker 1: tinfoil hats that people wear in conspiracy circles?
- 25:08Speaker 4: Sure.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Well, this alien type of people, they're very connected to
- 25:14Speaker 1: that line of thinking of everyone's out to get me.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I am paranoid. We're a very paranoid people. That's why
- 25:20Speaker 1: we make good scientists.
- 25:21Speaker 4: And thanks for using the right kind of phrasing around aliens.
- 25:25Speaker 5: We're alien type of people.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because we're all trying to be people.
- 25:30Speaker 7: Well, that's why she's wearing a hat, right? At the
- 25:33Speaker 7: end of the day, she's a girl on the computer.
- 25:36Speaker 4: I'm a girl on the computer. But of course, you're
- 25:38Speaker 4: not a girl on the computer.
- 25:40Speaker 11: No.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Far from it, even. Come on.
- 25:42Speaker 6: Thanks, guys.
- 25:44Speaker 7: Really, really grateful to be here. My name is Quinn Miranda.
- 25:50Speaker 7: And I play 2052.
- 25:51Speaker 6: Yes.
- 25:53Speaker 7: A little ball that flies through the space that's kind
- 25:58Speaker 7: of a girl figuring it out.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:03Speaker 5: 2052 is a girl figuring it out.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:05Speaker 2: It's like you think it's going to be this super
- 26:07Speaker 2: super intelligent species, but actually it's just kind of like
- 26:10Speaker 2: a sassy girl who's over it all.
- 26:12Speaker 3: She's the comic relief that teens can relate to that
- 26:15Speaker 3: can also sell toys.
- 26:17Speaker 1: In the original series, it was quite literally just a
- 26:21Speaker 1: ball of light that had some voiceover, but I know
- 26:25Speaker 1: that a lot of our fearless showrunner looked at that
- 26:29Speaker 1: and thought, you know, this could be a thing that
- 26:31Speaker 1: girls can relate to.
- 26:33Speaker 4: And thanks so much. You were there shooting with us.
- 26:36Speaker 2: You wear a blue suit and a special 3D kind
- 26:41Speaker 2: of capture on your head all day. So people thinking
- 26:44Speaker 2: that it was just all post, I want to give
- 26:46Speaker 2: roses to you.
- 26:47Speaker 4: Yes.
- 26:48Speaker 8: Because, Quinn, also you, because you were still playing it,
- 26:52Speaker 8: you moved around like a ball of light.
- 26:54Speaker 4: You ran around.
- 26:55Speaker 6: You were so fast.
- 26:57Speaker 7: Can I tell you, that's how my agents got me
- 26:59Speaker 7: in the room for this, because they went, she's a
- 27:02Speaker 7: ball of light at a dinner party.
- 27:04Speaker 6: You have to have her read for this. And it
- 27:06Speaker 6: was like such a blessing.
- 27:07Speaker 4: It's exhausting, right?
- 27:10Speaker 6: I'm running, right?
- 27:12Speaker 7: And I keep going like, I feel like we could
- 27:13Speaker 7: at least get a puppeteer in here or something because
- 27:15Speaker 7: the ball does sit on top of.
- 27:17Speaker 6: My head practically.
- 27:18Speaker 7: And I have to run, run, run, run, run, run.
- 27:22Speaker 7: But I can't sound like I'm running. I have to
- 27:24Speaker 7: sound like I'm just floating, which is hard.
- 27:26Speaker 3: You're wearing those little booties. And also, you're underselling yourself.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Running is an understatement. You're doing somersaults.
- 27:31Speaker 4: Yes. You're crawling up on the set. Because that ball is.
- 27:34Speaker 8: Moving up and down and all around the place. So
- 27:37Speaker 8: to get there, you were moving. And you had the
- 27:40Speaker 8: 3D helmet on. But then you had the ball here, which...
- 27:43Speaker 8: I will say, I ruined a couple of takes where
- 27:45Speaker 8: I'm supposed to be looking at the ball, but.
- 27:47Speaker 4: I was looking at your eyes instead, so then they're like, what?
- 27:49Speaker 4: Because I'm usually, yeah, I'm looking below. You look like
- 27:52Speaker 4: you're in pain. And you can see me. My favorite
- 27:54Speaker 4: thing is when you go, hey, my ball is up here.
- 27:57Speaker 6: And we have to put that in the blooper reel
- 27:59Speaker 6: because it's so crazy.
- 27:59Speaker 7: But I mean, especially I want to give a shout
- 28:01Speaker 7: out to all of our props and our set deck
- 28:03Speaker 7: people because they have to build me all of these
- 28:06Speaker 7: green screen slides.
- 28:09Speaker 6: I'm going down slides.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Yes.
- 28:11Speaker 6: I'm going through tunnels. I'm just doing a lot.
- 28:15Speaker 7: But 2052 is such a blessing for me to play
- 28:18Speaker 7: and a great company of incredible actors I get to
- 28:21Speaker 7: be with.
- 28:22Speaker 6: Every single day I pinch myself after I like sit.
- 28:25Speaker 7: And I really detox and I have like four Gatorades
- 28:27Speaker 7: and I finally get the amount of electrolytes in my body.
- 28:30Speaker 7: I go, I am so incredibly grateful to be an actor.
- 28:35Speaker 8: I think about the fact that I would sit in
- 28:37Speaker 8: a chair for seven hours to have the makeup done.
- 28:40Speaker 8: And I used to look over at you and like, oh,
- 28:42Speaker 8: you just have to be in this blue suit, whatever.
- 28:43Speaker 8: But the amount of running and moving you have to
- 28:45Speaker 8: do and like the seesaw scenes where they put you
- 28:50Speaker 8: on that. a seesaw so that the orb goes up
- 28:52Speaker 8: and down was bonkers.
- 28:55Speaker 4: And they had Glenn, that giant grip on the other
- 28:58Speaker 4: side of the seesaw.
- 28:59Speaker 8: And he would just get off of it so that
- 29:01Speaker 8: it would land real hard.
- 29:03Speaker 4: Unbelievable. No bedside manner.
- 29:05Speaker 6: The night before.
- 29:06Speaker 7: When you get the call sheet and it says seesaw
- 29:08Speaker 7: scenes for the whole afternoon.
- 29:09Speaker 4: Oh, man.
- 29:10Speaker 6: I'll be honest, my heart stops. And I go, I
- 29:13Speaker 6: don't know if I can do that.
- 29:14Speaker 4: I know, I know.
- 29:15Speaker 8: Well, Glenn's heart did, and now he passed away.
- 29:17Speaker 4: Yeah, he did die. Rest in peace, Glenn.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Rest in peace, Glenn.
- 29:20Speaker 4: I mean, he was huge. He was huge. And we
- 29:22Speaker 4: were like, just do intermittent fasting. Eat at noon, bud.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Just do it. Eat at noon and eat until six.
- 29:28Speaker 4: I told him.
- 29:29Speaker 2: And he's always saying, the breakfast burrito onset is the
- 29:32Speaker 2: best part of the day.
- 29:32Speaker 4: So he'd have six. He would just eat them through
- 29:36Speaker 4: the day. And he wouldn't put it in the fridge.
- 29:38Speaker 4: It would just get warmer and warmer, room temperature and worse.
- 29:41Speaker 4: It's a hot room.
- 29:42Speaker 6: And you're always in the chair, glued up.
- 29:44Speaker 4: I've texted the shit out of that guy.
- 29:46Speaker 3: You would burrito report Glenn on those texts.
- 29:50Speaker 8: If anybody got Glenn's phone after he passed and see
- 29:53Speaker 8: the amount of texts that I sent Glenn... Some of
- 29:56Speaker 8: them seem real rude. I was tired at the end
- 29:58Speaker 8: of the day. I also want to say, so many
- 30:00Speaker 8: texts were just, enough is enough.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Dude, that's maple syrup, not water. And I don't want to,
- 30:06Speaker 4: I didn't love Glenn, but I don't. You can't even
- 30:08Speaker 4: swallow that. It was so thick.
- 30:12Speaker 1: I know.
- 30:13Speaker 4: You can't drink that. Bread was really covered in maple syrup. Awful.
- 30:17Speaker 4: You know what he'd do?
- 30:18Speaker 8: He would go to where the tea was and he'd
- 30:20Speaker 8: rip up the honey packets and put the honey packets
- 30:22Speaker 8: in his maple syrup.
- 30:23Speaker 11: So it was just totally thicker.
- 30:25Speaker 4: He was honeying up his maple syrup? It was just
- 30:28Speaker 4: sweet on sweet. And he'd say, that's my cup of tea.
- 30:31Speaker 4: And I'd go, Glenn.
- 30:31Speaker 1: That is sludge.
- 30:32Speaker 3: I'd be like, Glenn, it's 8 p.m. You should be
- 30:34Speaker 3: done eating already. Look, guys, I do think we're being insensitive.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Glenn did die in a plane crash.
- 30:38Speaker 4: Yes. That is true. What could have happened to anybody?
- 30:42Speaker 4: At a certain point, you have to wonder why that
- 30:44Speaker 4: plane went down.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:47Speaker 7: No, it was like a whole problem with the clouds
- 30:50Speaker 7: that day.
- 30:51Speaker 10: Yeah, I heard it was a whole problem with the clouds.
- 30:55Speaker 4: The clouds got in front of the pilot. They got thick.
- 30:59Speaker 4: Thick and heavy clouds. Wish they had you there so
- 31:01Speaker 4: they could get through.
- 31:03Speaker 6: X and Y.
- 31:04Speaker 1: If only I had had those numbers, we should have
- 31:07Speaker 1: been fine.
- 31:17Speaker 4: Well, let's talk about favorite episodes, maybe?
- 31:19Speaker 5: Yeah, let's talk about favorite episodes.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Oh, my God, favorite moments from episodes. I mean, there's
- 31:23Speaker 4: so many that come to mind. So many.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I mean, I think the moment where we landed on
- 31:28Speaker 1: that planet that was all disco ball.
- 31:32Speaker 4: I mean, do the opening of it when we landed.
- 31:34Speaker 2: All right, not.
- 31:35Speaker 4: If you want to do it, or how we got there. Yeah,
- 31:38Speaker 4: do how we got there.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I'll do how we got there, and then you guys
- 31:42Speaker 1: can talk about what we did once we're there.
- 31:44Speaker 5: We might have to stop down after you explain it, but.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Yeah, let's start.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I think it'll be pretty clear.
- 31:50Speaker 4: I think you won't be able to poke holes at
- 31:51Speaker 4: it at all.
- 31:52Speaker 1: No, I don't think, these writers really, they really have
- 31:56Speaker 1: my back here. Engaging system overdrive.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Engaging.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Locking in. Locking in numbers. 7, 45, 9. Hovering above.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Diving below. Pulling lever. Pulling lever up. Y-axis double across.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Entering hyperdrive into hyperspace. Black hole. Black hole.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Dodge. Weave. Weave. Weave. Dodge.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Locking in seven.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Locking in 45.
- 32:27Speaker 1: No, sir. 45 is too low.
- 32:31Speaker 4: That's what I said.
- 32:31Speaker 1: 45 is too low. No, we need to get the
- 32:35Speaker 1: hydrogen levels up to 15 before we can engage black hole.
- 32:39Speaker 4: Well, I'm doing it anyway.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Locking in. Locking in. Locking in.
- 32:43Speaker 4: Lever up.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Lever down.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Lever up.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Lever down. Button up. Button down.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Button up.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Button down.
- 32:48Speaker 6: Button down. Button down.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Y-axis across. Z-axis below.
- 32:54Speaker 4: There it is.
- 32:55Speaker 5: There's the third axis.
- 32:57Speaker 4: We introduced Z in the pilot. That's how you know
- 32:59Speaker 4: it's not the normal show.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Piloting across X-axis. Now Y-axis.
- 33:03Speaker 4: Hovering. We're close. We're close.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Entering atmosphere. I bet my hat on it.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Wow.
- 33:10Speaker 5: That was awesome because I didn't know what you were
- 33:12Speaker 5: betting your hat on.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Yeah. At a certain point, you know, I as an
- 33:16Speaker 1: actor had to figure out some of those lines because
- 33:19Speaker 1: sometimes what I'm betting my hat on is just sort
- 33:22Speaker 1: of like I chose to read it as.
- 33:25Speaker 4: See that? Yeah.
- 33:26Speaker 1: You know, and sometimes it's not clear in the dialogue
- 33:29Speaker 1: what I'm betting.
- 33:30Speaker 2: I mean, like the beautiful thing is I always thought
- 33:32Speaker 2: your role was exposition.
- 33:36Speaker 4: You explaining the movements and actions that you're doing.
- 33:39Speaker 8: Well, I'll be honest, reading the script, and I loved
- 33:45Speaker 8: what the showrunners did, and I loved how the writers, and...
- 33:48Speaker 8: Props to the directors who did all the episodes because
- 33:52Speaker 8: they look fantastic.
- 33:53Speaker 4: Yes.
- 33:54Speaker 8: When I was reading the script, I realized that she
- 33:56Speaker 8: was just saying the stage director in some of it.
- 33:59Speaker 4: But she was so locked in that even the writers
- 34:01Speaker 4: were like, we've got to keep all of this. Lever up,
- 34:03Speaker 4: lever down. I mean, the lever was so important.
- 34:05Speaker 8: Yeah, because the lever was just like what you were
- 34:07Speaker 8: supposed to do.
- 34:08Speaker 4: And then the fact that you had memorized it and
- 34:10Speaker 4: you had made it real. Mm-hmm.
- 34:12Speaker 1: I mean, guys, it's so tough looking at these final
- 34:16Speaker 1: draft scripts, you know, these script formatted scripts, because how
- 34:20Speaker 1: on earth do you tell when you're talking and when
- 34:24Speaker 1: you're moving?
- 34:25Speaker 2: It's all words. They're sending it in final draft format.
- 34:28Speaker 2: And so you're opening up a word. You're confused as hell.
- 34:31Speaker 6: It's so different.
- 34:32Speaker 4: That's my problem. Well, the fact that they even expected
- 34:34Speaker 4: us to have final draft. True.
- 34:36Speaker 6: I put it into a.
- 34:37Speaker 7: Word document, and I go, is this robot talk, or
- 34:39Speaker 7: is this just the transfer of the files?
- 34:41Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 34:42Speaker 1: They really got to figure out a way to get
- 34:43Speaker 1: us a PDF of the script.
- 34:45Speaker 3: And also, you think us saying space, space, spaceship is difficult?
- 34:48Speaker 3: They wrote space for every single.
- 34:49Speaker 4: Word in the script.
- 34:50Speaker 6: It's impossible. But here's the thing. As you say, I
- 34:52Speaker 6: take my hat off to that, and the ball is
- 34:53Speaker 6: just on the tee. And then the captain. I mean,
- 34:56Speaker 6: we should play the scene.
- 34:56Speaker 4: We gotta play the scene.
- 34:57Speaker 6: I love when you look at.
- 34:58Speaker 7: The view of when we land and you always look
- 35:00Speaker 7: at the view and it's just, it's, it's.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Of the disco ball planet? Yeah.
- 35:04Speaker 5: It's gorgeous.
- 35:05Speaker 1: It's gorgeous.
- 35:07Speaker 5: We've touched down.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Another planet. Another devastating catastrophe just on the bounds of happening. Captain,
- 35:16Speaker 4: should I, should I scan for life arms? Don't be.
- 35:23Speaker 5: Shut up already. I've got it from here.
- 35:27Speaker 6: Hey, wait a second. Are we talking shit about Doipy?
- 35:29Speaker 4: I'm over here. 2052.
- 35:34Speaker 6: Don't want to miss a session where we can talk
- 35:35Speaker 6: shit about my favorite dude.
- 35:37Speaker 5: Uh-oh.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Uh-oh.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Savage Reed from Klyron.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Klyron is non-stop.
- 35:47Speaker 4: That's what I did on the day.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Something I just realized about this show that's pretty interesting
- 35:52Speaker 1: in the dynamic is that you have almost no one
- 35:54Speaker 1: to talk to.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Because you stay on the ship.
- 36:00Speaker 6: Because I stay on the ship.
- 36:02Speaker 4: I'm in half the world.
- 36:04Speaker 1: You are a ball of light.
- 36:05Speaker 4: You're a robot.
- 36:06Speaker 1: And you can only talk through your eyebrows.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Once we get that ADR in.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Once you get the ADR in.
- 36:11Speaker 4: Once you get the ADR in. It's live.
- 36:13Speaker 6: It's live.
- 36:14Speaker 4: It shows that we're best friends.
- 36:15Speaker 8: Because when we did the chemistry reads, I was able
- 36:19Speaker 8: to talk during all of it.
- 36:20Speaker 4: It was awesome. We had such good chemistry. We had
- 36:22Speaker 4: a really fun time.
- 36:23Speaker 6: We've got to get the ADR in.
- 36:25Speaker 8: But once you get the ADR in, it's like, it's
- 36:28Speaker 8: weird that you guys just had to memorize, because we
- 36:31Speaker 8: were like, oh, can somebody off camera just.
- 36:33Speaker 4: Read his lines?
- 36:34Speaker 8: They said no, it'll mess up the dialogue, and it's like, no,
- 36:38Speaker 8: because he would be talking, I couldn't say, I texted
- 36:41Speaker 8: the shit out of you guys.
- 36:42Speaker 4: This doesn't make sense.
- 36:43Speaker 1: It just wasn't happening in real time. One of our
- 36:47Speaker 1: EPs was really hell-bent on, like, that wouldn't happen in space.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Nobody would be reading off camera in space.
- 36:54Speaker 6: He's an interesting hang.
- 36:56Speaker 1: He didn't like something. He'd just say that wouldn't happen
- 36:59Speaker 1: in space.
- 36:59Speaker 6: He's an interesting hang.
- 37:00Speaker 7: But I'll say this doesn't stop us from the amount
- 37:04Speaker 7: of incredible guest stars we have this season.
- 37:06Speaker 6: And you have some love interests.
- 37:07Speaker 7: You do have people to talk to that are from
- 37:10Speaker 7: other planets that I think we just have to shout out.
- 37:13Speaker 7: All of the amazing actors that are in this season.
- 37:16Speaker 4: Maisie Williams. Maisie Williams came in as my love interest.
- 37:22Speaker 8: Insane.
- 37:23Speaker 6: Gracie Abrams?
- 37:24Speaker 4: Gracie Abrams came in as that singing alien.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Sorry, alien.
- 37:29Speaker 8: Type of people.
- 37:32Speaker 10: Lacey Chabert. Lacey Chabert. Lacey Mosley. They played the twins.
- 37:39Speaker 10: And they were so dynamic.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Which one was falling in love with you is hilarious.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Millie Bobby Brown played Queen Europa.
- 37:49Speaker 4: Queen Europa. Bobby Brown. Bobby Brown. Of Makeup. Yeah, Bob
- 37:56Speaker 4: Brown makeup artist.
- 37:57Speaker 8: The makeup artist Bobby Brown came in just to work
- 38:00Speaker 8: on your tummy.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Yeah, that was more of a Hail Mary. What a
- 38:03Speaker 4: cool guest.
- 38:04Speaker 7: Star to get a makeup artist in there.
- 38:07Speaker 4: Yeah, so there's a.
- 38:09Speaker 3: We've labeled it a guest artist because we had to
- 38:11Speaker 3: move on shooting and she wasn't done.
- 38:14Speaker 4: So she's in the episode.
- 38:17Speaker 3: She's engineer Bobby Brown fixing my midsection.
- 38:21Speaker 4: She has a full kit. Thorax expert, which I didn't like.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Being told the head of Thorax.
- 38:27Speaker 7: My favorite episode of the whole season is when they
- 38:31Speaker 7: are all on the ship and they're going through that
- 38:33Speaker 7: long journey and they decide to have a birthday party
- 38:37Speaker 7: for your character.
- 38:39Speaker 4: Such an interesting episode.
- 38:40Speaker 6: And they all get a little wasted.
- 38:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:43Speaker 8: Well, I think we wanted to show, or they wanted
- 38:47Speaker 8: to show, the showrunners wanted to show, not an interesting
- 38:50Speaker 8: hang necessarily, but more of like, how this character has
- 38:56Speaker 8: a deeper personality and actually likes everybody else on the ship.
- 38:59Speaker 4: Because at that point, they were like, oh, does he
- 39:01Speaker 4: even get along with everybody?
- 39:03Speaker 5: I mean, the Clyron, yeah, it's so buttoned up.
- 39:05Speaker 4: It's so buttoned up.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Such a moral-based character. It's all about ethics and what
- 39:09Speaker 2: to do.
- 39:10Speaker 6: Let's see him lose control.
- 39:11Speaker 8: Yes, and I know for sure, on the original series,
- 39:16Speaker 8: Ted never lost control. They never showed that side of him.
- 39:20Speaker 8: of our race, so it was fun to see what
- 39:23Speaker 8: that's like because now that I know that this is
- 39:25Speaker 8: how the original series was shot and now this is
- 39:27Speaker 8: how we're shooting it where you don't hear the voices
- 39:30Speaker 8: you would think that my character was so buttoned up,
- 39:34Speaker 8: but it's just because everybody had to take a longer
- 39:36Speaker 8: pause to think, are the lines going to be done
- 39:39Speaker 8: by this?
- 39:40Speaker 2: Well, this is the scene, it's like we're celebrating your birthday,
- 39:43Speaker 2: and we've all off-book memorized your lines, and you were
- 39:46Speaker 2: just doing such a good job acting with your face
- 39:49Speaker 2: to kind of like let us know what the lines are.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Oh, thank you. I tried. I tried.
- 39:53Speaker 8: I mean, they did have to come in with the
- 39:55Speaker 8: menthol for my eyes to make me cry.
- 39:57Speaker 4: Yeah. Just because they always were watery because I was
- 40:00Speaker 4: breathing through my nose.
- 40:01Speaker 8: So they had to like get extra because they were like, oh, well,
- 40:05Speaker 8: this just looks like how he's usually doing.
- 40:07Speaker 4: Yeah. And that was me.
- 40:10Speaker 8: Texting you guys for help that I'm having a hard
- 40:12Speaker 8: time breathing.
- 40:13Speaker 5: Yeah, but we were also in the scene that we
- 40:15Speaker 5: could not see.
- 40:15Speaker 7: And they should have had somebody texting you like a
- 40:17Speaker 7: second AD or something for safety.
- 40:20Speaker 4: Yes. Yeah, it wasn't happening.
- 40:21Speaker 8: Especially when it was time to start eating the cake
- 40:24Speaker 8: and it was just like all in my eyes.
- 40:27Speaker 4: Well, let's watch the scene. Let's show them the scene.
- 40:28Speaker 5: Yeah, that's great.
- 40:29Speaker 4: Alert, alert. It is a very special birthday day for
- 40:33Speaker 4: our very own Clyron... Wow, Doimpie, saying something right for once.
- 40:38Speaker 7: I'll retweet that.
- 40:42Speaker 4: That's hilarious, 2052. Cliron, we had no idea it was
- 40:46Speaker 4: your birthday. How old are you turning? What? That's insane.
- 40:52Speaker 4: I didn't know Clirons could even get to that age.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Oh no. Oh no.
- 40:58Speaker 6: Is that tears I see?
- 41:00Speaker 5: I think so.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Clyron, unlocking freezer systems now. Is there a preference to
- 41:05Speaker 1: chocolate or vanilla space cake?
- 41:09Speaker 5: I knew it.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Oh, classic.
- 41:12Speaker 6: Fuck, I'm on a diet.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Analyzing appetite. I think we're all interested in some space cake.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Okay, Doinby, get out of the room. Please just leave
- 41:22Speaker 2: as we're talking here.
- 41:23Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Oh!
- 41:25Speaker 6: He's taking a shit! No, he's eating.
- 41:29Speaker 4: He's eating.
- 41:29Speaker 8: Oh, my bad.
- 41:30Speaker 4: Oh, he's eating. 2052!
- 41:33Speaker 5: Wow, what a powerful scene.
- 41:35Speaker 1: What a powerful scene. It's tough, because I know there
- 41:37Speaker 1: was a part in the script where you were eating,
- 41:39Speaker 1: and there was a part of the script where you
- 41:41Speaker 1: were taking a shit, and it's really hard to remember
- 41:42Speaker 1: which is which.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Yeah, it's tough.
- 41:44Speaker 1: When we don't hear the lines.
- 41:45Speaker 3: And I was supposed to introduce a whole villain in
- 41:47Speaker 3: that scene, too, but we had to cut that actor, too,
- 41:49Speaker 3: because you told me to leave the room.
- 41:51Speaker 4: Something about.
- 41:52Speaker 2: your voice just got under my skin in a way.
- 41:55Speaker 4: I'll be honest, it's just changed so much from the
- 41:58Speaker 4: 13 year old version.
- 42:00Speaker 7: It's just such a bump, and you see us get
- 42:03Speaker 7: bumped during the scene.
- 42:05Speaker 8: It's almost 43 versions later of this character has just
- 42:10Speaker 8: made the character feel a little bit more curmudgeon or
- 42:14Speaker 8: useless on the show.
- 42:16Speaker 4: It's like no real need for a Doinby 43. I
- 42:19Speaker 4: would love the original. Oh my God. And that is me, right?
- 42:24Speaker 4: That is me. I am the original. But that kid.
- 42:27Speaker 4: The kid is me.
- 42:28Speaker 6: We're finding a kid that has that essence.
- 42:30Speaker 4: But it wouldn't be that. It would be me. I
- 42:32Speaker 4: would have it. But the fun thing was is it
- 42:34Speaker 4: felt like any 13-year-old at the time. That's why. The
- 42:38Speaker 4: youth is the character.
- 42:39Speaker 1: It literally is anybody.
- 42:41Speaker 6: Anything but you.
- 42:43Speaker 3: One thing I will say when it comes to episodes,
- 42:44Speaker 3: one of my favorite things is classic in spaceship show form.
- 42:50Speaker 3: We tackle current issues through a sci-fi lens.
- 42:53Speaker 4: Yes. If that is not maybe the most important thing
- 42:56Speaker 4: of sci-fi. Oh, my gosh. Talk about today's issues.
- 42:58Speaker 3: There's a very, very, very powerful episode of the original
- 43:01Speaker 3: spaceship about apartheid that was really, really incredible.
- 43:04Speaker 5: Really amazing.
- 43:05Speaker 2: And we try to tackle a modern-day issue on our
- 43:09Speaker 2: own show.
- 43:10Speaker 4: It's a little different.
- 43:10Speaker 7: I find that the showrunners kind of put a bunch
- 43:13Speaker 7: of modern-day issues in one episode if I'm like– Maybe
- 43:16Speaker 7: I'm overstepping, but I will say there was a lot
- 43:19Speaker 7: going on in that episode.
- 43:20Speaker 4: We tried to do it all in just one, rather.
- 43:22Speaker 8: Than just kind of teasing her or tackling everything throughout.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Yeah, we went to this planet called Vulpexia, which is
- 43:30Speaker 4: kind of a irreversible, has an irreversible curse on it,
- 43:34Speaker 4: and we handled a lot of the modern day issues.
- 43:37Speaker 5: Kind of a one fell swoop.
- 43:39Speaker 7: Let's play that really big, beautiful, full cast scene at
- 43:44Speaker 7: the end of that episode, if you guys don't mind.
- 43:46Speaker 6: I think it's just beautiful work.
- 43:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:48Speaker 4: Alert, alert. I would like to make an announcement. I
- 43:53Speaker 4: am bisexual.
- 43:57Speaker 6: Well, that just happened.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Yeah, could have called that one years ago.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Captain, Captain, there's a problem with the levers. We're dumping
- 44:07Speaker 1: too much pollution into the stream, into hyperdrive.
- 44:11Speaker 2: Well, why do you think I'm tied up to this
- 44:13Speaker 2: Volpixian high school? It's because it's on stolen land. That's
- 44:17Speaker 2: why I'm tied up.
- 44:18Speaker 4: They're stealing the land and dumping chemicals into the high school. Exactly. Exactly.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 44:26Speaker 4: Alien type of people. You're right.
- 44:30Speaker 9: Guys, I got to tell you something. I just took
- 44:35Speaker 9: a pregnancy test. I'm pregnant and I have no access
- 44:38Speaker 9: to getting rid of the baby. And I'm a ball
- 44:40Speaker 9: of light.
- 44:41Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 44:43Speaker 5: Well, you should keep it. And I don't want you
- 44:45Speaker 5: to get rid of it.
- 44:50Speaker 4: Alert, alert. There are other options, though.
- 44:53Speaker 5: I don't think there are.
- 44:54Speaker 4: Yes.
- 44:54Speaker 1: The X and Y axis. There is a facility where
- 44:58Speaker 1: you can get care. But unfortunately, space health insurance is
- 45:03Speaker 1: so expensive.
- 45:05Speaker 6: Chiron, your old your family used to speak of these places.
- 45:09Speaker 5: Chiron.
- 45:12Speaker 4: Speak. What?
- 45:14Speaker 1: Wow. Oh, my God.
- 45:16Speaker 5: That's what your people had to go through.
- 45:19Speaker 4: Unbelievable. But I'm a ball of light.
- 45:21Speaker 6: How am I going to get an abortion?
- 45:22Speaker 4: You won't be getting an abortion. Alert, alert. There is
- 45:28Speaker 4: a very, very, very evil alien race named the Glumps.
- 45:34Speaker 4: The Conald Glumps. Oh my God. They think it's all
- 45:38Speaker 4: right to dress up as animals and have sex? Yes.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Wait, an anomaly on the screen. It appears that There's
- 45:48Speaker 1: a group of children aliens and they have step parents
- 45:54Speaker 1: and that's okay.
- 45:57Speaker 4: Wow. What a powerful episode. Amazing. Rewatching it. I think
- 46:03Speaker 4: they wrote my character anti-abortion.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they did.
- 46:06Speaker 4: I don't think it's a thing.
- 46:07Speaker 6: I think they do.
- 46:08Speaker 4: I was just so into it that day.
- 46:11Speaker 5: Anti-furry, anti-abortion.
- 46:12Speaker 4: Anti-furry, anti-abortion. And whenever we talk to the showrunner about it,
- 46:15Speaker 4: who's a terrible.
- 46:16Speaker 8: Hang, we'd have to go visit him, and he's always
- 46:20Speaker 8: on that swing.
- 46:21Speaker 4: Remember that swing he set up?
- 46:23Speaker 8: Yes.
- 46:24Speaker 4: Inside.
- 46:24Speaker 8: He's always wearing sunglasses, swinging back and forth with dirty soda.
- 46:30Speaker 6: And you go, this is not a good hang.
- 46:32Speaker 4: You're in a swing.
- 46:33Speaker 8: Anytime you walk up to him, he'd just point to
- 46:35Speaker 8: the fact that he's swinging and you can't talk.
- 46:38Speaker 6: Like, oh, I'm on the phone.
- 46:39Speaker 4: I'm on the swing.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Somebody couldn't swing and talk.
- 46:44Speaker 4: Swinging takes up so much mental space you couldn't possibly talk.
- 46:47Speaker 4: The only way you could talk to him is if
- 46:49Speaker 4: you pushed. Also, I tried to... And they would only
- 46:52Speaker 4: be on the way back. Then we'd talk. Terrible.
- 46:58Speaker 1: Alert, alert, emergency alert. There's a Patreon you need to
- 47:02Speaker 1: subscribe to.
- 47:03Speaker 6: Hold on, pause the episode.
- 47:07Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 47:08Speaker 6: How fun would it be to just hang out with us?
- 47:09Speaker 9: Like maybe at weird times of the day, like 7am
- 47:12Speaker 9: or 1130 PM.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Little peek behind the curtain. This episode was recorded between
- 47:16Speaker 1: nine to five, but if you want to see what
- 47:18Speaker 1: we're like after hours, you got to join the Patreon.
- 47:21Speaker 6: We'll recap episodes. And then also we'll do weird stuff
- 47:24Speaker 6: like bully Jeremy.
- 47:25Speaker 1: We bully Jeremy. We make him do 12 weeks of
- 47:28Speaker 1: dancing in a row. We made Patrick write an entire
- 47:30Speaker 1: screenplay in one day and we're doing an Oscars draft.
- 47:33Speaker 1: So come on by. It's three bucks.
- 47:35Speaker 6: See you there.
- 47:36Speaker 4: Bye.
- 47:37Speaker 11: I was trying to talk to him too because I
- 47:41Speaker 11: think he thought a really big hot button issue was
- 47:44Speaker 11: not recognizing step parents as parents.
- 47:47Speaker 6: We have to talk about that part.
- 47:49Speaker 1: I do think that he recently became a stepdad. I
- 47:53Speaker 1: think it was, it sort of trickled into the work.
- 47:55Speaker 1: He's like, and I have something too.
- 47:56Speaker 4: Because that was so specific to end on that one.
- 48:00Speaker 7: I do, I would be remiss if we didn't, before
- 48:02Speaker 7: we leave, show one more scene.
- 48:05Speaker 6: When, Clyron, you get hacked.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Yes.
- 48:08Speaker 7: And your eyebrows speak, and you have that insane monologue.
- 48:10Speaker 5: And I think, actually, they added the ADR for this
- 48:12Speaker 5: one already.
- 48:12Speaker 10: They did, yeah.
- 48:13Speaker 4: So we have you doing it. So we can hear it.
- 48:16Speaker 6: And we just really love to see that one.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Oh, yes. Yeah, so this is when we're landing on... Oh, yeah,
- 48:22Speaker 1: we're landing, so please.
- 48:23Speaker 4: We're landing. We're landing. Let's go, let's go, let's go.
- 48:28Speaker 4: Let's get this set up to land. So we're about
- 48:31Speaker 4: to land. Let's get there first.
- 48:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 48:33Speaker 4: And then after we get there, we arrive.
- 48:37Speaker 6: We'll get there first.
- 48:38Speaker 4: We'll get there first and then we arrive and then
- 48:39Speaker 4: you're hacked.
- 48:40Speaker 8: We're hacked so that I can actually talk, but we
- 48:43Speaker 8: had landed on my planet.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 48:45Speaker 4: And I finally get to see Cliron. Planet Cliron.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Yes. Captain engaging Cliron system activator. Engaging, engaging, hovering, hovering above,
- 48:56Speaker 1: hovering below. Locking in. Fan swiping.
- 49:00Speaker 4: Swipe dissolve. Swipe dissolve. Checkerboard.
- 49:04Speaker 1: Checkerboard. Valencia filter. No, it's Instagram. Exposure up. Saturation down. No,
- 49:14Speaker 1: saturation split the difference. Saturation to 50. Lower contrast, up shadows.
- 49:19Speaker 1: too far brightness up no push brightness down push whites
- 49:24Speaker 1: up no blacks down swipe dissolve fade to black flash
- 49:30Speaker 1: to white we've landed and I'd hand my.
- 49:33Speaker 4: Hat on that oh I'd hand my hat you'd hand
- 49:38Speaker 4: your hat on that and your half you've been hacked
- 49:44Speaker 4: yeah well we're here Clyron that's your home planet hey
- 49:50Speaker 4: best friend how are you feeling it's so different here
- 49:56Speaker 4: what do you mean everybody's dead what well let's go
- 50:04Speaker 4: Clyron what are you talking about your whole civilization has
- 50:07Speaker 4: been wiped out so that means I'm the only one
- 50:09Speaker 4: left Wait, we're leaving? Analyzing, analyzing.
- 50:13Speaker 5: Could you just shut up for a second?
- 50:15Speaker 4: But there's one life form still out there. What? Yeah,
- 50:17Speaker 4: it's you. You stay here forever by yourself. I do
- 50:22Speaker 4: not understand.
- 50:23Speaker 8: You stay here forever by yourself because we're never coming back.
- 50:28Speaker 4: Duh! That is not in the script. We're never coming
- 50:30Speaker 4: back to this planet. But you're acting kind of hacked
- 50:33Speaker 4: right now. And you need to stay here.
- 50:36Speaker 5: Maybe it's for the best.
- 50:37Speaker 4: He's acting irrational. He has been hacked.
- 50:39Speaker 5: I don't know what your deal is, but I can
- 50:42Speaker 5: smell you.
- 50:44Speaker 4: I am a robot.
- 50:45Speaker 6: Hey, bro, coming from another robot, get out.
- 50:49Speaker 4: They can't do this. They can't make me.
- 50:54Speaker 6: All right.
- 50:55Speaker 4: You did good.
- 50:57Speaker 8: When you were small, you did better. But now you've
- 51:02Speaker 8: done good. Thank you for everything you've done. Make this
- 51:07Speaker 8: planet great again.
- 51:08Speaker 4: Bobby, Brown, get off me. We're leaving.
- 51:10Speaker 5: Make this planet as great as you can.
- 51:16Speaker 4: Okay.
- 51:17Speaker 5: Wait a second.
- 51:18Speaker 2: What's that beetle attached to your ear, Clyron? Now that's
- 51:25Speaker 2: the Clyron I know and remember.
- 51:28Speaker 4: And I'll stay. That just happened. No, I think you
- 51:31Speaker 4: should stay here. Make this planet great again. Dump the swamp.
- 51:41Speaker 5: Dump the swamp. See how it's all swampy? He's clearing.
- 51:46Speaker 5: Clear the swamp.
- 51:47Speaker 4: All right.
- 51:49Speaker 5: Okay.
- 51:50Speaker 4: Wow. That was... You know, I noticed more... I'm kidding.
- 51:55Speaker 4: in that, like, they wrote you a very specific way.
- 51:58Speaker 8: I think so. And I didn't think about that until, like,
- 52:00Speaker 8: some of the possible future episodes where.
- 52:04Speaker 4: Like, you have a UFC fight on the ship? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 52:07Speaker 4: It was a UFC fight on the ship.
- 52:08Speaker 2: They got like a, they had like a, they were
- 52:11Speaker 2: trying to hire that guy that was going to be like,
- 52:13Speaker 2: my second, and he was eating worms the whole time.
- 52:17Speaker 6: Isn't that why.
- 52:18Speaker 4: You kept saying quiet piggy to me too? They kept
- 52:20Speaker 4: on writing quiet piggy. Interesting. And every time you shook hands,
- 52:24Speaker 4: you turned your hand over. Pull as hard as I
- 52:27Speaker 4: could to prove that I was the best captain. I
- 52:32Speaker 4: tried to talk to the showrunner, but he just kept swinging.
- 52:35Speaker 4: I couldn't. I would try to catch him on the
- 52:38Speaker 4: way back. He's like, hey, so what is the, and
- 52:39Speaker 4: you go, you will not talk on this one.
- 52:42Speaker 6: He won't talk on the swing.
- 52:43Speaker 1: That's what's really hard.
- 52:44Speaker 6: Just a beautiful way that the scenes just fizzle out.
- 52:46Speaker 4: I hate to skip.
- 52:48Speaker 6: They just slowly fizzle. I love what I love about
- 52:50Speaker 6: this show. It puts you to sleep. It slowly goes on.
- 52:54Speaker 4: The editing is crazy. There's so much dead space. They
- 52:59Speaker 4: leave a lot in.
- 53:00Speaker 6: And it goes slow until out of nowhere you go,
- 53:03Speaker 6: nothing's going on.
- 53:06Speaker 4: And then credits. You'd assume some sort of action sequence
- 53:09Speaker 4: or some compelling drive.
- 53:11Speaker 6: No, and all of a sudden it's a lullaby putting
- 53:13Speaker 6: you to bed.
- 53:14Speaker 4: But I'd be remiss to skip.
- 53:16Speaker 2: The new catchphrase coming out of this episode, I hand
- 53:19Speaker 2: my hat on that one.
- 53:20Speaker 4: I hand my hat.
- 53:21Speaker 1: I hand my hat. Now, that was actually a misprint
- 53:24Speaker 1: in final draft.
- 53:25Speaker 9: Really?
- 53:26Speaker 1: I believe it was, because I say everything that's written.
- 53:31Speaker 4: Yes.
- 53:32Speaker 1: I'm not deviating. I trust that the word is God,
- 53:35Speaker 1: the script is God, the writers are the Bible. I
- 53:38Speaker 1: am not going to say anything that they didn't tell
- 53:41Speaker 1: me to say. So I hand my hat on that.
- 53:45Speaker 2: Sure. Amazing.
- 53:45Speaker 4: I love it. I hand my hat on that. I
- 53:47Speaker 4: hand my hat off.
- 53:49Speaker 6: Speaking of, I'll see you all at the Comic-Con.
- 53:53Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 53:54Speaker 1: Very excited for Comic-Con.
- 53:55Speaker 4: We got Space-Con. We're doing Goofy-Con. Are you guys doing Goofy-Con?
- 53:59Speaker 4: I'm not.
- 54:00Speaker 3: No.
- 54:00Speaker 4: I think that's in Des Moines. It's in Des Moines.
- 54:03Speaker 1: He's doing Goofy-Con in Des Moines. You guys are all
- 54:06Speaker 1: doing UFO-Con, right?
- 54:07Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 54:08Speaker 6: Wait, what is that?
- 54:10Speaker 1: Oh, it's Area 51. You're probably busy.
- 54:12Speaker 4: Yeah, you're probably busy. Yeah, UFO-Con, it's like... Seven days.
- 54:16Speaker 4: It's awesome. They put you up at the best place.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Five star resort.
- 54:19Speaker 6: I didn't know they had no-boos outside.
- 54:23Speaker 4: You wouldn't think they could. In the desert? With the
- 54:25Speaker 4: fish that they're serving, you wouldn't think they could have
- 54:27Speaker 4: a no-boo outside.
- 54:28Speaker 6: You wouldn't think they could have a no-boo.
- 54:30Speaker 4: In the middle of Nevada. But they do it.
- 54:32Speaker 8: They pump in the air or something to make it
- 54:36Speaker 8: cool enough.
- 54:36Speaker 4: And they have that Vegas air, so it smells good.
- 54:39Speaker 4: Pump in the good Vegas air. I'll be there for
- 54:43Speaker 4: season two.
- 54:43Speaker 3: Because you guys are going to watch Space Spaceship, and
- 54:46Speaker 3: it's going to go to the top.
- 54:48Speaker 4: If you're searching for our show, it's Space.
- 54:50Speaker 5: Space, Spaceship.
- 54:52Speaker 1: So make sure to type the space, but when you're
- 54:54Speaker 1: telling your friends to say it, don't say the other space.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Only say verbally Space Spaceship.
- 55:00Speaker 3: To be clear, Space, Space, Space Spaceship is another show.
- 55:05Speaker 2: It's another spinoff that's Space, Space, Spaceship if you were
- 55:07Speaker 2: to read it. And if you were to explain how
- 55:09Speaker 2: it's read, Space, Space, Space, Space, Spaceship.
- 55:13Speaker 7: And if you have Apple TV, we're noticing if you dictate,
- 55:16Speaker 7: if you hit the microphone to dictate what to type in,
- 55:19Speaker 7: you should say two spaces.
- 55:20Speaker 2: Yes.
- 55:21Speaker 7: But if you have YouTube TV, you shouldn't say double spaces.
- 55:25Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 55:26Speaker 8: And if you are coming to UFOCon or any of
- 55:28Speaker 8: the cons we're going to, I will not sign Funkos anymore.
- 55:33Speaker 8: I'm just sick of everybody's using the blue ink pen,
- 55:36Speaker 8: and I know you're just pushing that on the other
- 55:38Speaker 8: ones to make multiples. And that's taking away from the
- 55:42Speaker 8: artist's money.
- 55:43Speaker 6: Thank you for saying that.
- 55:44Speaker 2: And for me, I'm not going to be signing any
- 55:46Speaker 2: more breasts. It was an awesome time, but I'm happily engaged,
- 55:49Speaker 2: and I've been told that's not a cool thing to
- 55:51Speaker 2: do anymore.
- 55:52Speaker 4: And I should be clear, I'm not signing any more
- 55:53Speaker 4: rolls of cookie dough. Split open, right? Lightly split open
- 56:00Speaker 4: and pressed.
- 56:00Speaker 1: With peanut butter.
- 56:01Speaker 4: All over it? But then the container is painted silver?
- 56:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 56:06Speaker 4: So that it just looks like... They paint it silver.
- 56:10Speaker 3: And sometimes they push it in the middle of a pipe.
- 56:12Speaker 3: Sometimes they put pipe around the middle of a roll
- 56:14Speaker 3: of cookie dough and they cut open the end. I
- 56:15Speaker 3: just won't sign that anymore. I think those are kind
- 56:17Speaker 3: of harsh and rude.
- 56:18Speaker 4: But you will still sign... The cupcakes that people have squished.
- 56:22Speaker 4: I'll sign the right way to eat a cupcake. Chrissy
- 56:24Speaker 4: Teigen or whatever.
- 56:25Speaker 7: I won't be signing any boxes of Plan B. My
- 56:28Speaker 7: 2052 doesn't get an abortion.
- 56:32Speaker 4: It's just incorrect. It's just not what she does.
- 56:34Speaker 6: She wouldn't do it.
- 56:34Speaker 4: You didn't watch the whole episode or you fell asleep.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Yeah, literally.
- 56:37Speaker 4: But it's beautiful when your kids come out in their
