  Speaker 1: I have been turning in tuning into the radio from

  Speaker 1: Al show for thirty years maybe more, and all of

  Speaker 1: all days. Fridays are by far my favorite day of

  Speaker 1: the week. I love Jimmy the Wine Guy. He is
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: great and he helps get me ready for the weekend.

  Speaker 1: But one of my favorite features is when Dave the
• 0:38
  Speaker 1: flower Guy comes in to announce boner of the week.

  Speaker 1: I don't spend a lot of time downtown, but if
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: I'm out and about, I always keep an eye out
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: for Dave in the hopes of spying his scooter and

  Speaker 1: having the opportunity to buy flowers from him. For years,

  Speaker 1: I've had no luck until this last Friday. My daughter
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: works at East Liberty tap House, rest out and bar
• 1:00
  Speaker 1: at Ninth and Ninth. I went into grab some lunch

  Speaker 1: and visit with my girl, and as I was walking
• 1:06
  Speaker 1: up to the restaurant, I noticed a scooter parked out
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: front with a basket full of flowers. I was suddenly
• 1:11
  Speaker 1: filled with such excitement, knowing that Dave was likely inside
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: and I know that is a place that Dave frequent.
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: As I entered, I spied him in the corner, finishing
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: up his lunch. I immediately made my way to his table
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: to introduce myself to him. This was a major fangirl
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: moment for me. I told him I was an avid
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: listener of the Radio from Hell Show and mentioned how
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: much I enjoyed his segment on Fridays. His face lit
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: up all and you could instantly see the pride he
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: feels in the responsibility you have bestowed upon him for
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: all of these years. My daughter asked how I knew Dave,
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: and I told her who he was, and she mentioned
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: that he used to mow their lawn and that he
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: comes in for lunch most Fridays. She often buys flowers
• 1:54
  Speaker 1: from him to take home to her girlfriend. So here
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: I am finally in the presence of Dave the flower guy,
• 2:00
  Speaker 1: and I don't have any cash. Oh man. I discreetly
• 2:03
  Speaker 1: asked my daughter if she could loan me some cash,
• 2:05
  Speaker 1: but I guess it wasn't as discreet as I hoped
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: it would be. Dave instantly piped up wait I just
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: lost my place. Dave instantly piped up and told me
• 2:15
  Speaker 1: he accepts VENMO, mentioning that someone had helped him set
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: it up some time ago. So what could have been
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: just an average Friday turned into a really great day
• 2:26
  Speaker 1: for me. Finally, flowers from Dave. My hat's off to
• 2:29
  Speaker 1: all of you at Radio from Hell for taking Dave

  Speaker 1: under your wing and being such true, kind friends to him.

  Speaker 1: I could really tell what a positive impact it has
