Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous, Welcome back to the Give Them La La Podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 1: It is a bonus episode and we are still in Hawaii.
- 0:12Speaker 2: It's a Hawaii bono.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Oh I wish I thought it was fitting today since
- 0:21Speaker 1: we're on vacation again. If you listen to Wednesday's episode,
- 0:25Speaker 1: there was a little bit of chaos. There's going to
- 0:27Speaker 1: continue to be chaos because if you see in the video,
- 0:30Speaker 1: I've got a little munchkin back there begging for the
- 0:33Speaker 1: most phenomenal.
- 0:36Speaker 2: It's so seven brothers. They've got great ice cream.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Can I tell you? There's also a fruit stand here
- 0:45Speaker 1: and they have these bananas. You guys, there's one that's
- 0:47Speaker 1: an apple banana and they're like small. They have an
- 0:49Speaker 1: ice cream banana, and like, what does that actually mean? Though?
- 0:53Speaker 2: I think they're different trees, different trees, maybe different banana
- 0:56Speaker 2: I don't know how many banana trees or different banana trees.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I'm sure. I'm sure there's a lot, but I'm like,
- 1:01Speaker 1: an apple banana does that mean that like you planted
- 1:04Speaker 1: an apple and a banana seed and had them make
- 1:07Speaker 1: a banana apple. I don't know, because it does have
- 1:10Speaker 1: an apple taste to it.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Maybe who am I to say, I'm no farmer.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I know, by the way, the people out here know
- 1:17Speaker 1: what they're doing. East And yesterday drove up that's my
- 1:20Speaker 1: favorite thing neighborhood around food Land. If anyone's familiar with
- 1:24Speaker 1: where we are.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Right across the street from Shark's Cove.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it's a grocery store that we have lunch
- 1:30Speaker 1: at pretty often while we're here. And what did you
- 1:33Speaker 1: see when you drove up there?
- 1:34Speaker 2: I drove up and there was a dude like on
- 1:36Speaker 2: a four wheeler with like a trailer, and he was
- 1:40Speaker 2: driving up his backyard, beautiful home, huge yard, and he
- 1:44Speaker 2: just had coconuts, hundreds of coconuts. Wow. And then he
- 1:48Speaker 2: just so I drove by, and then I had to
- 1:50Speaker 2: see it again. Yeah, drove by again, and he was
- 1:53Speaker 2: just dumping the trailer of coconuts onto a tarp of
- 1:58Speaker 2: more coconuts, and that was that's just his daily you know,
- 2:01Speaker 2: he's just selling nuts.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Yeah. And I dig it out here because you literally
- 2:07Speaker 1: just drive past these little food trucks and then there's
- 2:10Speaker 1: just picnic tables everywhere, and you're like, that's so strange
- 2:14Speaker 1: because you don't see that in La obviously.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Well, the hours are all weird too. Like that's the
- 2:19Speaker 2: one thing about food trucks here that I do love
- 2:21Speaker 2: is like, we just had a pizza and his hours
- 2:25Speaker 2: are whatever, And I think pizza, he's just.
- 2:28Speaker 1: He's just done and you have to put your order
- 2:30Speaker 1: in before.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 1: But you you look at these and you're like there.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I wonder, like we're on such a small island. I wonder,
- 2:38Speaker 1: like how many people go there. You go and you
- 2:41Speaker 1: do your thing for the day, and then by lunchtime
- 2:43Speaker 1: you're driving back past it. Because here you wake up
- 2:45Speaker 1: at the crack of dawn and go to bed at eight. Yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 1: but every picnic table is a fill filled to the brim,
- 2:55Speaker 1: which is people getting garlic shrimp.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yeah. We passed a it's like ta tankash rip or whatever. Yeah,
- 3:01Speaker 2: and we were like, how does this place stay in business?
- 3:04Speaker 2: No one's ever here. We go one other day there's
- 3:07Speaker 2: like four tour buses and it is jam packed, and
- 3:10Speaker 2: we were like, there it is. No.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I could definitely live here, I think.
- 3:14Speaker 2: So.
- 3:14Speaker 1: We had Kelty on the podcast a few weeks ago
- 3:16Speaker 1: and she was talking about vision boards and manifesting, and
- 3:21Speaker 1: I loved the idea of if you don't conquer one
- 3:24Speaker 1: of the things on your vision board that year, you
- 3:27Speaker 1: can move it over to the following year. So what
- 3:29Speaker 1: I have, what I am going to add to my
- 3:31Speaker 1: vision board because we're going to do this before the
- 3:33Speaker 1: end of the year to take on twenty twenty five.
- 3:36Speaker 1: This is my new Year's resolution because everyone knows the
- 3:39Speaker 1: whole like I'm gonna work out more like we never
- 3:41Speaker 1: stick to it. Creating a vision board, it's like a
- 3:43Speaker 1: one and done thing. Like all you have to do
- 3:45Speaker 1: is like create a thing that you want, write it down,
- 3:48Speaker 1: put it on the vision board. I am going to
- 3:50Speaker 1: put on there that I want a mountain house in Park.
- 3:53Speaker 2: City ski and ski out.
- 3:56Speaker 1: But before that, I would like a place here. Oh yes,
- 4:02Speaker 1: So I'm going to add that and manifest it because
- 4:04Speaker 1: I could spend a lot of time here.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah. So what like I was saying, I could live
- 4:11Speaker 2: here for six months, not consecutive.
- 4:13Speaker 1: No, you just bop in and out and you keep
- 4:16Speaker 1: your clothes hair, so when you hop on a plane,
- 4:17Speaker 1: you literally don't have to put anything.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just your electronics.
- 4:20Speaker 1: It's literally it. So because we're still in Hawaii and
- 4:23Speaker 1: we stayed two weeks this year, I thought this bonus
- 4:27Speaker 1: it would be fitting to have most memorial vacations.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Most memorable?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Yeah, like which ones stick out in your mind? Because
- 4:35Speaker 1: during the regular episode you were talking about that is.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I'm not kidding you, that is my most memorable at Disney.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, like just the whole week, not just
- 4:46Speaker 2: that one day. But like though that trip And here's
- 4:49Speaker 2: what's crazy, I don't know if everything that I'm thinking
- 4:51Speaker 2: about is in that one memorable trip or if it's
- 4:54Speaker 2: over the years. I know because they we stayed in
- 4:57Speaker 2: the same beach house, the same hotels, So it's like
- 5:00Speaker 2: all of it kind of back to don't make an
- 5:02Speaker 2: effort to try to make it such a big deal
- 5:05Speaker 2: for your family to do, you know.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Well saying the pressure off.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Yeah, It's like I we went and the van ride
- 5:12Speaker 2: of Alec, my buddy, beating the shit out of his
- 5:15Speaker 2: brother Zach in the back of their van as we
- 5:18Speaker 2: were probably going one hundred and fifteen and the van's
- 5:21Speaker 2: just bomping and we're behind him, and my dad is like,
- 5:24Speaker 2: holy shit, we're going fast. That's all I remember, And
- 5:28Speaker 2: just in the window just a silhouette of Alec just
- 5:31Speaker 2: beating the shit out of Zach with like a lightsaber
- 5:36Speaker 2: and then you know that's a memory cause.
- 5:38Speaker 1: We were at the age where you took your toys.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Is because it's like we're going to see We're going
- 5:43Speaker 1: to see yours.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and then your parents are like, we'll bring it
- 5:46Speaker 2: because I'm not fucking spending another one twenty on you.
- 5:50Speaker 2: So like, yeah, beating, But like we were very young,
- 5:53Speaker 2: but I also remember, like I can't remember which trip
- 5:56Speaker 2: it was, but I'll never forget. I was boogiey boarding
- 5:59Speaker 2: with Zach and Alec. We run in and I grabbed
- 6:03Speaker 2: the styrofoam cup and chug and it is just vodka lemonade.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Oh and I about die And I'm young, I'm probably nine,
- 6:12Speaker 2: And Dad was like ooh booh, booh boo, not that one,
- 6:14Speaker 2: not that one.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Did she get buzzed?
- 6:17Speaker 2: I mean, I maybe I don't remember, but like I
- 6:20Speaker 2: remember vividly, like with my red boogie board, yeah, running
- 6:24Speaker 2: up and just grabbing that, and I think it was
- 6:27Speaker 2: in that same but like my most memorable trip, yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 2: I don't know if it's trip or trips because we
- 6:35Speaker 2: did it for so many years.
- 6:36Speaker 1: It's definitely you're combining all of the memories into like
- 6:39Speaker 1: one trip, and that's totally normal. Because that's kind of
- 6:43Speaker 1: every year it was. We did that every year, and
- 6:45Speaker 1: we also I think my most memorable I remember taking
- 6:48Speaker 1: an acting class Easton and they they wanted. It was
- 6:52Speaker 1: with a bunch of older people, and it was like
- 6:54Speaker 1: me and Madison, and we were in high school, so
- 6:56Speaker 1: like pretty young sixteen, and she won us to lay
- 7:01Speaker 1: down and think of our happiest place. And I started
- 7:06Speaker 1: thinking about Lake Powell and I just started sobbing my
- 7:09Speaker 1: eyes out. For some strange reason, I don't know why
- 7:12Speaker 1: it made me cry, but I think Lake Powell would
- 7:14Speaker 1: be my most memorable. And I sometimes think of all
- 7:20Speaker 1: of the things that we did there, right Like, I
- 7:21Speaker 1: remember going with our cousins and I knew that tomorrow
- 7:26Speaker 1: they're gonna make me ski. They're going to try to
- 7:29Speaker 1: make me.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Oh, do you tell them what they would do? Do
- 7:31Speaker 2: you remember? No, so our uncle he would we'd all
- 7:36Speaker 2: have to ski. It didn't matter ski wayboard, no matter
- 7:38Speaker 2: what it is, you had to do it. It was that
- 7:40Speaker 2: type of family. And if you didn't want to, my
- 7:42Speaker 2: uncle would grab the board, throw it in the water,
- 7:46Speaker 2: just point at you and then point to the board.
- 7:49Speaker 1: And if you didn't and if you would just pick
- 7:50Speaker 1: it up by the life drive.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Would just throw you in, or he would just hit
- 7:54Speaker 2: in and just say I'm not moving until you get
- 7:57Speaker 2: in and that and the board would float. So it's
- 8:00Speaker 2: like either you get in so it's close to you,
- 8:03Speaker 2: or you have to swim two hundred yards to get
- 8:05Speaker 2: the board. Then once you got to the board, he
- 8:07Speaker 2: would circle you and then pick you up.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 8:11Speaker 2: So I was not going pro and slalom skar.
- 8:14Speaker 1: It had nothing to do with that. He just we came.
- 8:18Speaker 1: We were not a super active family. We were We've
- 8:20Speaker 1: always been chillers. But the rest of the family, the cousins,
- 8:23Speaker 1: it was like so freaking active. And I remember sitting
- 8:27Speaker 1: it was skis that were attached. They had like a
- 8:29Speaker 1: bar attachment so that you oh you were doing two
- 8:32Speaker 1: blitz yes, because they said that's easier to start with
- 8:35Speaker 1: and we'll let you do it behind the jet ski
- 8:37Speaker 1: so it's not so scary. And I just remember doing
- 8:39Speaker 1: it off the beach and I was like this, I.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Remember sawb Yeah. I think that's why because I to
- 8:46Speaker 2: this day I go up to like Jordan Ell and
- 8:49Speaker 2: Utah with all of my buddies and all of them
- 8:51Speaker 2: serve wakeboard all of this, and they're like, do you
- 8:53Speaker 2: and I'm like no, and it's because I'm so scarred
- 8:56Speaker 2: and every time, like it starts pulling me up and
- 8:59Speaker 2: then I'm going and I'm like, just as shitty as
- 9:01Speaker 2: I remembered it.
- 9:02Speaker 1: You know, I don't remember it being Can I tell
- 9:04Speaker 1: you when I stopped is when we went to Big
- 9:07Speaker 1: Bear and this was filmed and I was it was
- 9:14Speaker 1: Rob Valletta's boat. If you guys remember that was the
- 9:17Speaker 1: guy that she know was dating and they were gonna
- 9:19Speaker 1: name their baby Madison something. Valletta like, she was already
- 9:24Speaker 1: planning and you got water, okay, have fun. I love
- 9:29Speaker 1: you so much. What were we just talking about? Again?
- 9:32Speaker 2: I don't know. She's drinking water with shells in it,
- 9:35Speaker 2: That's all I can think about.
- 9:40Speaker 1: So oh with ice Easter shells.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I thought she went out there, got shells, came back
- 9:46Speaker 2: in just drinking some sea water.
- 9:48Speaker 1: That's okay, baby, you're drink that. Sorry, everybody chaos. No,
- 9:54Speaker 1: So I'm like in this zone, I'm still drinking at
- 9:57Speaker 1: this point in time, and I'm like, I'm gonna freaking
- 9:59Speaker 1: sh show these hose that I can. And it was
- 10:01Speaker 1: the first year that people actually liked me on the show. Yeah,
- 10:08Speaker 1: no one else, none of the other girls are doing it.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it, so I'm going and then I'm like,
- 10:14Speaker 1: I'm going to cross this giant wake and try to
- 10:16Speaker 1: get air. I caught mad air and then fell right
- 10:19Speaker 1: on my face and chipped chipped my tooth.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Well you know the hidding concrete, Well.
- 10:25Speaker 1: It chipped my tooth. And I have never been on
- 10:27Speaker 1: a wakeboard since all jeb see.
- 10:30Speaker 2: That was the other thing I've one experienced wakeboarding. I
- 10:33Speaker 2: caught air, landed funny, caught the edge forward head, didn't
- 10:39Speaker 2: chip a tooth, massive headache, and I thought, I don't
- 10:43Speaker 2: love this enough to do that again.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I think there are two groups of people. There's a
- 10:48Speaker 1: group that their their chillers, and they want to take
- 10:53Speaker 1: each day. It's one day at a time, right, like
- 10:56Speaker 1: if we wake up and feel like it, that's what
- 10:58Speaker 1: we'll do. Or there's the group of people that say,
- 11:01Speaker 1: when we go on a vacation, we have a plan
- 11:04Speaker 1: every single day. And I think that's why, like there's
- 11:07Speaker 1: no gray, right. I think that's why I gravitate towards
- 11:11Speaker 1: places chill because if you go to a place like
- 11:15Speaker 1: Paris or you go to Italy. I think you should
- 11:18Speaker 1: definitely go with someone who's well seasoned because you don't
- 11:22Speaker 1: want to fly over there and just chill. You want
- 11:24Speaker 1: to have things to do, you want to experience, and
- 11:27Speaker 1: the plan is and then this day, I just figure
- 11:30Speaker 1: we can wake up and we can play it by air.
- 11:31Speaker 1: There's always one day when you travel somewhere like that
- 11:35Speaker 1: where there's one day that you play it by air.
- 11:36Speaker 1: The rest of the time you have to have a plan.
- 11:39Speaker 1: So you got to go with someone who knows what
- 11:40Speaker 1: they're doing, like a Stossy Schroeder. She planned everything to
- 11:45Speaker 1: the nines. It was so freaking well thought out. We
- 11:50Speaker 1: shopped till we dropped. We saw the catacombs, we went
- 11:53Speaker 1: to Versailles like.
- 11:54Speaker 2: But those like when I'm going somewhere like that where
- 11:58Speaker 2: it could be a once in a lifetime I'm I
- 12:01Speaker 2: do want to schedule when I'm coming to a beach
- 12:04Speaker 2: or something that's where I want to relax. But I
- 12:06Speaker 2: do love having things structured when I am going somewhere
- 12:10Speaker 2: so out of my comfort zone that I want somebody
- 12:13Speaker 2: with me that knows it, but also a schedule around
- 12:16Speaker 2: it because I am lost.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Yeah. So like if they're like we're going here, I'm like, perfect,
- 12:22Speaker 2: that's great because I have no idea where i'd go.
- 12:24Speaker 2: But here it's like I want to go to that
- 12:26Speaker 2: little fruit stand not there, so I'm going that.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but we're just not activity people like I think
- 12:32Speaker 1: that's why going to a place like that Paris is
- 12:36Speaker 1: because you're like, I'm going to walk through a museum
- 12:38Speaker 1: and see out here. If you're going to go do something,
- 12:41Speaker 1: it's like we're gonna go parasailing?
- 12:44Speaker 2: No, or people are Is it skydiving where they jump
- 12:48Speaker 2: out of the plane.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Do they do that here?
- 12:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I told you. You saw someone the
- 12:53Speaker 2: other day well like seven eight nine. Yeah, they all
- 12:57Speaker 2: just jump out and then they just land at this
- 12:59Speaker 2: little runway over by wy Ame.
- 13:02Speaker 1: As I get older, I start factoring in the ways
- 13:06Speaker 1: I could get hurt, Like going to Lake Powell. I
- 13:09Speaker 1: it seems in my mind like I was jumping off
- 13:12Speaker 1: of huge cliffs because I was so young. They could
- 13:14Speaker 1: have been not that high up, but for a child
- 13:17Speaker 1: like I think my most memorable vacations are like going
- 13:22Speaker 1: to Lake Powell, going to Yellowstone and camping. However, things
- 13:27Speaker 1: change in your mind when you're like, I want to
- 13:29Speaker 1: go and do that. I remember during the pandemic we
- 13:33Speaker 1: rented an RV and we kind of did the same
- 13:37Speaker 1: thing that we did when we were kids, and I'm like,
- 13:40Speaker 1: I hate this. Well, I think it's because you were
- 13:42Speaker 1: the per person I was with.
- 13:44Speaker 2: You hated the energy around you.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I did. Yeah, I think I hated it a lot.
- 13:49Speaker 2: But also Jim Gaffigan says it best. He's like, when
- 13:52Speaker 2: you were a kid and you went on vacation and
- 13:54Speaker 2: you're wondering, why is dad always in a bad mood? Now,
- 13:58Speaker 2: I know I'm stressed about getting from A to B.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I'm the one driving the car, putting people to know
- 14:04Speaker 2: in it as well as you. But like I'm it's
- 14:07Speaker 2: I'm stressed if they're liking their food because she never eats.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Like I'm just being like I'm an overprotective uncle. But
- 14:15Speaker 2: it's like, now I get it. Why is dad always
- 14:17Speaker 2: in a bad moon? I fucking get it. It's very
- 14:21Speaker 2: Then you're just like, holy shit, we gotta do it
- 14:23Speaker 2: all again.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Yeah, And there was a night here that Causosa kills
- 14:28Speaker 1: it at sleep. But there was a night where she
- 14:29Speaker 1: was just off and she woke me up at two,
- 14:32Speaker 1: then at five, then at six. This is a lot
- 14:38Speaker 1: and those were full wake ups. But she was like
- 14:40Speaker 1: fussing throughout the whole night. She didn't need to burn.
- 14:42Speaker 1: But I'm like, there there is a version of a
- 14:47Speaker 1: vacation where you don't think you're like so excited to
- 14:51Speaker 1: get away and you don't factor in. Oh, I have
- 14:52Speaker 1: to ask this kid twenty seven times, please eat your burger.
- 14:57Speaker 1: You see your burger, Please have a bite of your burger.
- 15:00Speaker 1: It becomes exhausting, I will say, though, he said, you're
- 15:02Speaker 1: like an excellent co captain.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Thank you. Now, we do well in this this little
- 15:07Speaker 2: family dynamic we have. We we do well and you've
- 15:11Speaker 2: got great kids. Though it's very easy, I know.
- 15:14Speaker 1: And that's why I think when I go back to
- 15:16Speaker 1: like my most memorable vacations, they're always the one. This one, well,
- 15:21Speaker 1: this one is I call.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I feel like this is without being said,
- 15:24Speaker 2: but I have to say it like this right here
- 15:26Speaker 2: is probably last year was my most memorable, but this
- 15:30Speaker 2: has now become my most like memorable trip. It's what
- 15:33Speaker 2: I look forward to once we land in La Yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 2: for the next year, Like this has been my everything
- 15:39Speaker 2: and I love just how it's our little family we
- 15:41Speaker 2: have Nick and Joe Hey went and got dinner with
- 15:44Speaker 2: him yesterday.
- 15:45Speaker 1: It's just we've basically had dinner with them every night
- 15:47Speaker 1: except one.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yeah, but no, it's just like that. I this probably
- 15:52Speaker 2: is my most I'll put it this way. My most
- 15:55Speaker 2: memorable trip as an adult is this. Yeah, most memorable
- 15:59Speaker 2: trip is a kid either Newport, and I think Newport,
- 16:03Speaker 2: but then when you bring up Lake Palell, I think
- 16:05Speaker 2: the floods. Yeah, so many.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Things, so many memories, and I want to create that
- 16:10Speaker 1: for Ocean. But there are certain things that like don't
- 16:12Speaker 1: make sense anymore, right, Like the whole family lives in
- 16:15Speaker 1: La Yeah, well.
- 16:16Speaker 2: And that and that's the thing. And I love staying
- 16:19Speaker 2: in the Atrium hotel, leaving the beach and going to
- 16:22Speaker 2: our hotel, like not in as shout out. We're in
- 16:25Speaker 2: a beach house. So I love them. But like there's
- 16:28Speaker 2: sand everywhere I have to do my laundry. Like there
- 16:30Speaker 2: was something about getting in our car and just driving
- 16:34Speaker 2: to our clean hotel, and just like those little things
- 16:37Speaker 2: like those are memorable for me.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Well, here, would you rather be staying in a hotel here?
- 16:42Speaker 2: No? No, because I was a kid, so that's the thing.
- 16:46Speaker 2: But now I'm an adult and like for having them
- 16:48Speaker 2: the last thing like dad getting two sandy fucking kids
- 16:53Speaker 2: into the.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Car to getting us bathed and dressed.
- 16:56Speaker 2: But like maneuvering all of that sand from the beach
- 16:59Speaker 2: to the car, to the hotel that was clean, into
- 17:03Speaker 2: the all of that, and it's like, now I'm the
- 17:05Speaker 2: person who's like I have to deal with the kid.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Let's just truck you through the beach house.
- 17:10Speaker 1: So next year is gonna Mom's gonna be sixty five,
- 17:12Speaker 1: because we just celebrated her sixty fourth, so happy birthday
- 17:15Speaker 1: to my mom. M hm. And I'm like, I want
- 17:18Speaker 1: to take her on a really spectacular vacation. So we
- 17:21Speaker 1: were thinking of like Bora Bora, and I'm like, okay,
- 17:26Speaker 1: I want to take Oceans. Sosa is gonna be almost
- 17:30Speaker 1: a year and a half and it just sounds like
- 17:34Speaker 1: so much work. And I'm asking my mom like, what
- 17:36Speaker 1: are you thinking? What do you want to do? Do you
- 17:37Speaker 1: want me to take you to Italy? Do you want
- 17:38Speaker 1: me to take you here? And she's like, no matter
- 17:41Speaker 1: where we go unless it's Hawaii, Like we're gonna have
- 17:44Speaker 1: to keep the baby at home. We're gonna have to
- 17:46Speaker 1: keep Sosa home because it's just gonna be.
- 17:48Speaker 2: But also, let me put it this way as well,
- 17:51Speaker 2: she won't remember if I am Sosa. You mom, dad
- 17:57Speaker 2: all went to Russia, all these schools, Scandinavian places. I
- 18:01Speaker 2: didn't go because I was too young. I don't you.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Don't remember staying home.
- 18:05Speaker 2: No, I don't remember anything. If anything. The one thing
- 18:08Speaker 2: that I do remember is Brandon, our brother, and that's
- 18:12Speaker 2: another experience.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Because he watched you.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I would give like cool, I'm glad that you
- 18:17Speaker 2: guys had that, But like there was a very like
- 18:22Speaker 2: it's something that I hold like very close of like
- 18:24Speaker 2: getting like Brandon would get me in the he would go, okay,
- 18:27Speaker 2: now take off, I'm gonna leave. Take off your shorts
- 18:30Speaker 2: and then get in the shower. He'd start my shower
- 18:31Speaker 2: in Dad's room. He would get me dried. He slept
- 18:34Speaker 2: in the bed with me. So like there were a
- 18:35Speaker 2: lot of things where I'm.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Like, good, I remember that, But I don't remember you.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Guys being gone. Yeah, I don't remember you guys being gone.
- 18:42Speaker 2: I just remember hanging out with my brother and getting food,
- 18:45Speaker 2: playing video games, just hanging So like that's the thing
- 18:49Speaker 2: of like Ocean or even if we had to leave both,
- 18:51Speaker 2: they're going to have these experiences away from you that
- 18:55Speaker 2: could be beneficial for them.
- 18:56Speaker 1: That's true.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Well, what is your kid getting out of staying at
- 18:59Speaker 2: home and learning from other people and maybe understanding that
- 19:04Speaker 2: she really loves being with you and that two weeks sucked?
- 19:07Speaker 2: And I'm going to change who I am around you?
- 19:09Speaker 1: Right?
- 19:09Speaker 2: But you know who knows how I was after? Yeah?
- 19:12Speaker 2: Because never know. But I don't think we need if
- 19:16Speaker 2: they don't go. You don't put it on yourself of
- 19:19Speaker 2: I'm a bad mom because they didn't come.
- 19:20Speaker 1: No, And I'm not thinking that at all. I got
- 19:22Speaker 1: that out on the last episode of feeling like a
- 19:24Speaker 1: bad mom. I've now regained that I'm a great mom.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Yes you are.
- 19:30Speaker 1: But I think it's about creating a really memorable vacation
- 19:35Speaker 1: that you do every single year. Because I don't really
- 19:37Speaker 1: remember going to I remember little bits and pieces of
- 19:40Speaker 1: like going to Greece, going to Turkey, going to Russia.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I don't My core memories are the things that we
- 19:48Speaker 1: did every single year. For Ocean, like I want Hawaii
- 19:53Speaker 1: and for Sosa to be every single year, and then
- 19:56Speaker 1: I'd like to implement one more thing that we can
- 19:59Speaker 1: do every every year that we just got really sorry
- 20:02Speaker 1: the sun went down the one bridge.
- 20:06Speaker 2: The one thing that I would like to implement into
- 20:09Speaker 2: it is going to Utah for like a week.
- 20:12Speaker 1: See, that's what I want to do.
- 20:13Speaker 2: And I would love to go over like my birthday
- 20:15Speaker 2: just because I feel like in that area, or just in.
- 20:17Speaker 1: February seen snow.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Right, So that's where I'm thinking, Like we do this
- 20:22Speaker 2: in December. We're home for January to get everything situated,
- 20:25Speaker 2: get or we're going, and then we have February just
- 20:28Speaker 2: a week away celebrate me hey, and then just do
- 20:32Speaker 2: a ski and ski out house. And I think doing
- 20:34Speaker 2: that every year because I would like for them to
- 20:37Speaker 2: see where we were from. But I love ski and
- 20:41Speaker 2: ski out and I love there's nothing better like at home,
- 20:45Speaker 2: even sitting by the fire, a good movie on making
- 20:49Speaker 2: hot chocolate, and just like little things that I want
- 20:52Speaker 2: them to kind of do that you can't get anywhere else.
- 20:55Speaker 1: That you can't get anywhere else.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Right, So I do want a snowy vacation to implement
- 21:01Speaker 2: every year.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I love that. So now that we've discussed what you,
- 21:07Speaker 1: myself and mom are going to implement for Ocean and
- 21:10Speaker 1: SOSA like the every year moments because for me in
- 21:14Speaker 1: Newport Beach, what I remember the most is having like
- 21:19Speaker 1: hot dogs on the beach or going.
- 21:20Speaker 2: To yeah, Jane's Jane's corn Dogs.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Yes, and when we would go to Lake Powell, my
- 21:30Speaker 1: core memories are going through the channel and sleeping on
- 21:33Speaker 1: top of the boat and yes, so when we come here,
- 21:41Speaker 1: what is the one thing we do that we did
- 21:43Speaker 1: last year and we have done this year? Sharks Cove
- 21:47Speaker 1: is like, that's what.
- 21:47Speaker 2: You're gonna remind Yeah, sharks Cove is what I remember
- 21:51Speaker 2: because I did we I mean it's the only.
- 21:53Speaker 1: It's really the only place ocean swim.
- 21:55Speaker 2: That's why. And because they're too young to do anything
- 21:58Speaker 2: like obviously I would love to go to Koala Ranch
- 22:01Speaker 2: and do like horseback riding with them, but they're not
- 22:04Speaker 2: old enough. But that you know, could be in place
- 22:06Speaker 2: you want to know what now, it's sharks Cove.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I think for me the place that I want to go.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I mean, Foodland obviously sticks out of my mind, but
- 22:16Speaker 1: the as far as eating goes, I loved the tacos
- 22:19Speaker 1: that we had the other day in that little uh
- 22:22Speaker 1: It's like right next to food.
- 22:23Speaker 2: So if you go if you are in the North
- 22:26Speaker 2: Shore on a Wahoo, if you go up to Sharks Cove,
- 22:30Speaker 2: you'll see a food land and right next to it
- 22:33Speaker 2: is a like a shrimp. It's just a food truck
- 22:38Speaker 2: and it says and they're why yes, And it says
- 22:41Speaker 2: Hawaii's best shrimp tacos. They don't even need to say
- 22:45Speaker 2: shrimp anything.
- 22:47Speaker 1: It was all so goody God. And we didn't go
- 22:50Speaker 1: there last year, So I want to go every to
- 22:53Speaker 1: that place every single time we're here. And I think
- 22:58Speaker 1: the other thing, ocean is going to be old enough
- 23:02Speaker 1: next year to do what you're talking about and the
- 23:04Speaker 1: next My other goal is I want to find someone
- 23:07Speaker 1: who I love on the north Shore who can watch
- 23:10Speaker 1: so so for us, just come and chill with her,
- 23:12Speaker 1: someone that I trust, and she's gonna.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Like, I'm gonna put that out. Anybody on Oahu contact us.
- 23:19Speaker 2: We'd love to have a number.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I know, yeah, because that's my next thing. I was thinking,
- 23:24Speaker 1: who could I reach out to that has young kids,
- 23:26Speaker 1: who has someone to watch.
- 23:28Speaker 2: I guarantee there's somebody or yeah, I guarantee there's somebody
- 23:32Speaker 2: that would number one love to do it. Yeah, and
- 23:34Speaker 2: number two that does it right now.
- 23:36Speaker 1: No, there's kids on this island baby all the time,
- 23:40Speaker 1: because you saw them surfing.
- 23:42Speaker 2: No, I was driving and I was just driving by
- 23:44Speaker 2: a school and I was like, how cool just to
- 23:46Speaker 2: go to school, and like I wrapped around it. All
- 23:48Speaker 2: the kids are outside with just their teachers. And I
- 23:50Speaker 2: was like, and I immediately thought, like back to mine.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I was like, I was usually like shooting baskets with
- 23:56Speaker 2: a pretty mountain, like I even, yeah, preaking that for granted.
- 24:00Speaker 2: It's incredible to just see like these kids that I
- 24:03Speaker 2: took for granted this mountain that I was going to school.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Law, Yeah, I don't even askak about that.
- 24:07Speaker 2: They're just like playing and I'm looking around. I'm like,
- 24:09Speaker 2: you guys don't even know what you got right now.
- 24:12Speaker 2: But yeah, no, there's so many. Yeah, so we can
- 24:14Speaker 2: there's gonna be a plethora of people that would be
- 24:17Speaker 2: willing to do what we're asking.
- 24:19Speaker 1: All right, That's what I'm going to start looking into
- 24:20Speaker 1: as well. You guys, thank you so much for tuning
