- 0:02Hello, listeners. I am

- 0:09Today's story takes place in the town of Devil's
- 0:11Lake, North Dakota, a small, remote
- 0:14town in the middle of nowhere. The year
- 0:17is 1985. The date,
- 0:20August 19. This tale will bring with
- 0:23it mysteries in intrigue,
- 0:25lies, hidden realities, and
- 0:28the blending, uh, of fact from mythos.
- 0:31Join our hunters as they seek out the truth and
- 0:34find those who are missing in today's
- 0:36story of Music Mayhem.
- 0:41Welcome back to episode three of
- 0:44Music Mayhem. Um, hunters. Haven
- 0:47we find our three hunters? We've, uh,
- 0:50got Dennis, Denny Rogers in the house.
- 0:53We got Kenny professional, uh, kid
- 0:56detective.
- 0:56Kenny here, and then Bobby.
- 0:59I acquire things.
- 1:01There you go. I'm glad we all have our catchphrases.
- 1:05Um, catchphrase
- 1:08legolius perfection.
- 1:10That's pretty good. But I was
- 1:13expecting bigfoot's out.
- 1:16He's always watching. Um, so
- 1:19you guys have all awoken from your night's
- 1:22sleep. You've all met, uh,
- 1:24uh, Kenny, uh, did you pick up
- 1:27Dennis? Did you pick up Kenny in the morning or did you just drive over
- 1:30there on your mower and then Kenny has to just walk there?
- 1:34I picked him up, okay? You picked him up.
- 1:36He's got a sidecar on his m mower.
- 1:38Yeah, just specifically for Kenny and his
- 1:41bowling mate.
- 1:42Uh, Copenhagen definitely brought his
- 1:45bowling ball along.
- 1:47It's a weapon. And then, uh, you
- 1:50guys get to the bowling alley and you see Bobby sitting in
- 1:53her truck. She sees you guys and waves you on
- 1:56over.
- 1:57Hey there, Bobby. Hey. Look at that. She followed
- 1:59through.
- 2:02You can sit in the bed of my truck.
- 2:04You didn't hear me say that?
- 2:13I don't even know if Denny heard.
- 2:16He's too busy saying, hey there, Bobby.
- 2:18Hey there. Huh, bobby.
- 2:20You guys get out hey, dad.
- 2:22Mower.
- 2:22And then hop in the truck.
- 2:24I get out of the mower and I make the locking
- 2:27sound with my mouth.
- 2:33Sounds like Uncle Denny is a sound effects kind
- 2:36of guy. Stay there now. Don't
- 2:39go wandering up down there. Betsy,
- 2:44is this the same lawnmower that has, uh,
- 2:46the hood argument on it?
- 2:48Yeah.
- 2:48Okay. Nice.
- 2:50All right, guys, uh, where are we headed today?
- 2:53You tell me.
- 2:54Well, I've been thinking about that
- 2:57while I was lying awake last night
- 3:00trying to hum myself to sleep
- 3:03with a nice little lullaby. And that's when I
- 3:06realized that all those reports we
- 3:08read last night, uh, uh,
- 3:12every last one of them mentioned music
- 3:15of some kind.
- 3:16That's very astute, Uncle Danny.
- 3:18You think Cher had something to do with
- 3:22it's?
- 3:22I think it's too early to rule her out. She
- 3:25is a bit of a trouble.
- 3:27Causer I've never met her.
- 3:29Uh, who is this
- 3:31she's in?
- 3:32Is she new in town?
- 3:33Uh, well, uh, she's a music artist, Uncle
- 3:36Danny. She's kind of a big deal right now in the
- 3:39music industry.
- 3:40You don't see.
- 3:41Yeah. Uh, but, uh, all that
- 3:44being said,
- 3:46I suppose anything's possible at this point.
- 3:49Um, I just don't really know how we would investigate
- 3:52Cher, uh, without going down to her
- 3:55house, which I would assume is probably in the Hollywood
- 3:57Hills. Uh, and
- 4:00I don't think she would take kindly to us just questioning in
- 4:03and asking her a whole bunch of questions about mission kids.
- 4:06Well, uh, uh, what about some of our
- 4:09local stations?
- 4:11Yeah, we only got really one local station.
- 4:13No.
- 4:13Oh, we got more.
- 4:15There's way more than just one. There's three local stations.
- 4:18Well, instead of driving all over town, uh,
- 4:21what if we just called the
- 4:23houses and asked,
- 4:26I don't know what sort of music the
- 4:29kids listen to?
- 4:31We call it Houses of the Mission kids.
- 4:33Yeah. Where's the most, uh,
- 4:36payphone.
- 4:37Yeah.
- 4:38Maybe this music is inciting a
- 4:41rebellious spirit in these kids and they're just
- 4:43all ditching school to go
- 4:47live in one of those hippie communities.
- 4:51Maybe they are moving to North Dakota. Oh, my goodness.
- 4:54Yeah.
- 4:54I once signed a petition to ban.
- 4:57They'Re all in.
- 5:00The other direction.
- 5:01No, that's where the hippies are. It's warmer there.
- 5:04You've been through this.
- 5:05Actually, they're going to go wrap stones
- 5:08and wire.
- 5:09When you guys are talking about asking about the kids
- 5:12of today, you see a teenager walking outside of
- 5:15the car. He's walking around cleaning up
- 5:18the bowling alley parking lot, actually sweeping
- 5:20it.
- 5:21So can we just ask him what kids listen to
- 5:24so we don't have to waste our precious coins on a
- 5:26payphone?
- 5:27Uh, why do you think I just
- 5:30presented anyways? You can roll down the
- 5:33window.
- 5:33I roll down the window and say, hey, kid.
- 5:35What's?
- 5:39Calm down, it's just me, Kenny
- 5:42whitlock kid.
- 5:43Detective. Sorry, I got anxious
- 5:45real quick.
- 5:46It's okay, I'm just doing my job.
- 5:50I'm not looking at all these nice cars
- 5:53out here at nine in the morning in the bowling alley parking
- 5:56lot.
- 5:56Uh, no, that's fine and dandy.
- 5:58You do all two of them, friend.
- 6:00I just need to ask you a question, if you don't mind.
- 6:03Oh, sure, yeah. What's it for?
- 6:05What's? Everybody at the high school, what kind of music you guys listening
- 6:08to?
- 6:09Uh, what? That's a weird question.
- 6:12Well, yeah, but I mean, it could have been like
- 6:14inappropriate and I didn't go that direction, so I mean, it's
- 6:17worth answering.
- 6:18Goodness, you didn't?
- 6:19That's right. It would have been awkward for both of us.
- 6:21I guess the music that we're all really into is that
- 6:24new DJ oh.
- 6:26Uh, what's his name?
- 6:27DJ Re pip repip.
- 6:29Yeah.
- 6:30Playing all today's hits. Most of our local
- 6:33stations play like, that boring,
- 6:35like old timey music or
- 6:38it's local talk radio and it's
- 6:41like.
- 6:41Yeah, that's just boring.
- 6:42Annoying.
- 6:43Yeah. Ah, it's just politics.
- 6:44Like modern music. We have to go to
- 6:47the local, uh, uh, disc shop to buy some
- 6:50discs. But DJ Repip came to
- 6:53town and now everyone's been listening to his music.
- 6:56When you say he came to town, how recent was that?
- 6:59About a week and a half ago.
- 7:01Kenny just turns and looks at the.
- 7:03Other two in the car with, like.
- 7:04Uh, a look of incredulous.
- 7:05All the kids are talking about he.
- 7:07Came here a week and a half ago, and he already has
- 7:10his own show.
- 7:11I don't want to say came. I don't know where
- 7:14he's from. Uh, his radio
- 7:16station appeared on our radio about a week and a half ago,
- 7:19and us kids picked up on it pretty quick. The old folks,
- 7:22our parents and stuff, they're, like, turn that racket on, or when they have
- 7:25control of the radio, they turn it off or change it to
- 7:28the talk radio. But us
- 7:31kids, when we're alone, we can listen to the
- 7:33modern pop music and rock music,
- 7:36and it's great.
- 7:39Huey Lewis. I love it.
- 7:41Oh, yeah. Rock on,
- 7:43friend.
- 7:44Yeah.
- 7:45All right, well, you have fun sweeping up the rest of
- 7:48this parking lot.
- 7:49Can I have a tip?
- 7:51Um, for doing your job, uh,
- 7:53for.
- 7:54Being a good model citizen? And he holds
- 7:57out his hand.
- 8:00Just give him, like, a low five,
- 8:03okay?
- 8:04And he just walks back to sweeping up
- 8:06popcorn nearby.
- 8:09I'm trying to think of a good dad
- 8:12tip. I got a tip for you.
- 8:15He turns around.
- 8:17Don't, uh, pee into the wind.
- 8:21His face, like, drops.
- 8:22Learned that one at the lumber mill.
- 8:24Okay. And he gives you, like, a
- 8:27questioning look and then just goes back to sweeping
- 8:30up the popcorn.
- 8:31Well, guys, I don't know about you guys, but this sounds a little
- 8:34weird, right? Like, new DJ that all the kids are obsessed
- 8:37with comes into town, and immediately
- 8:40kids start disappearing. How weird is that?
- 8:42And it seems like quite of a big coinky
- 8:45dink for it to be a coinky dink.
- 8:47That's right. I think he might be responsible
- 8:50for that. I don't know how I don't know how yet, but
- 8:53I think he might have something to do with these missing kids. I
- 8:56think we should drive on down to, uh,
- 8:59his radio station.
- 9:00Does, uh, anybody know where that is, or are
- 9:03you just wasting my gas again?
- 9:05We haven't even started the car. Calm down,
- 9:08Bobby.
- 9:08It's true.
- 9:10Uh, do any of the files, the
- 9:13crime scene things mention repip?
- 9:16No. In terms
- 9:19of the music, they just mentioned that their
- 9:22speakers or radios were on. That's all they mentioned.
- 9:24They'll mention what it's on, though. Just they were on.
- 9:27I mean, really? We could go to
- 9:32any of the local radio stations,
- 9:35and I'm sure they know where everybody else is
- 9:38at. So if we know
- 9:41one, even if it's not this one, they can tell us,
- 9:44like, oh, yeah, he's got his set up over here, and
- 9:47we could just go over there.
- 9:49Do we know anything about the town?
- 9:51Like, is there you guys would know where
- 9:54the local station is especially for that talk radio.
- 9:57An old abandoned radio station.
- 10:01Oh, yeah, anything like
- 10:03that.
- 10:04An old abandoned radio station.
- 10:06So let's just drive to the, uh,
- 10:09one known.
- 10:11There is no abandoned radio
- 10:13stations that you can think of.
- 10:15Okay?
- 10:16We'll make it abandoned.
- 10:18Okay.
- 10:18All right, so we drive to the.
- 10:20Inhabited radio local Tommy news
- 10:23station, where, uh,
- 10:26you go in, and you're greeted by the lady
- 10:29at the front door, the secretary. She's like,
- 10:31oh, hey, how can I help you guys today?
- 10:34Yeah, we're actually trying to find out.
- 10:37Uh, this isn't the studio
- 10:40where Repip does his show, right? We're hoping to get an
- 10:43autograph.
- 10:43Not a chance. No, we don't have that
- 10:46trash modern day music here. No, we play
- 10:49the important stuff here. Local
- 10:52news.
- 10:53Oh, yeah, local news. I would ask for
- 10:56an autograph, but it's not really
- 10:59how news work.
- 11:00From the secretary?
- 11:01Uh, no, not from her.
- 11:02Um.
- 11:05Do you by any chance know where it is that, uh,
- 11:08Repip does his show from, like, where in
- 11:11town?
- 11:12Nope.
- 11:13I mean, he's got to be transmitting a signal, which I assume
- 11:15he is.
- 11:16But no one really knows. Uh, we've been talking about him because he's
- 11:19a new commodity here in town, new competition.
- 11:22Um, but, um, no, we have no idea where
- 11:25he's working out of. We know he's got to be somewhere nearby, or else
- 11:28his signal would be pretty weak. But it sounds pretty strong, so we're
- 11:31assuming it's somewhere nearby, but we have no
- 11:34idea where.
- 11:34It's got to be somewhere nearby. Do you know any way that there
- 11:37is of, uh, finding that signal or
- 11:40tracking that signal in any way?
- 11:43Well, all signals do have to be
- 11:45registered, uh, for a local
- 11:48one, because they get taxed legally.
- 11:51Um, he would have to create a business. Uh,
- 11:54did the business have a name?
- 11:57I don't know, but I suppose if it had a
- 12:00name, then it would be registered with the
- 12:03local governance.
- 12:04Right. Yeah, I would check there.
- 12:06All right, thank you for your time. I really appreciate
- 12:08it. Uh, you've done the Devil Lake,
- 12:11uh, legal department a service today.
- 12:14I'm not part of the legal department.
- 12:15No, I am.
- 12:16Oh, okay. Well, don't
- 12:19mention it.
- 12:19Uh, have a nice oh.
- 12:22Oh, and I'm, uh, just legally
- 12:25obligated to say I've been recording this whole
- 12:27conversation, both with my
- 12:30camcorder and my audio cassette
- 12:33recorder.
- 12:34Did you get my good side?
- 12:36And I pull up the Polaroid picture.
- 12:43I didn't put on my blush first. Oh, dear.
- 12:46Hope I look nice.
- 12:48All right, with that, we head out, and we head towards
- 12:51the local the.
- 12:52Coolest building of them all. The local
- 12:55government office. Probably just go to town
- 12:58hall.
- 13:01I don't know why I couldn't think of the city hall is just going to have everything
- 13:04you need. All local government, I guess. Local
- 13:07chamber the coolest place in town.
- 13:10It's probably the oldest building in town, 100%
- 13:13is. And the mayor's here, too, so you got
- 13:16that going for you, but isn't.
- 13:18He out of town?
- 13:19No, that's the McCook M family who actually are getting back in
- 13:22town today. You're right. Later today.
- 13:23Okay.
- 13:24All right.
- 13:25We go walking in and we
- 13:28see the lines that are created
- 13:31with those.
- 13:31Like what?
- 13:31Uh, are those ticker tape? I don't
- 13:34know what you oh, okay.
- 13:35I'll be honest. No one's in line.
- 13:37All right.
- 13:37Monday at nine in the morning.
- 13:38Are we all in there?
- 13:39Need you come with us?
- 13:40Okay. All right, awesome. So the three of us are in there. We just make our way through the
- 13:43line up to the front desk.
- 13:44I don't I just walk right
- 13:47not.
- 13:48Be honest, I have no idea what department you would go to.
- 13:51Check like public records? Is that
- 13:53just public records?
- 13:54I would say, or chamber of commerce or something like that.
- 13:57Maybe they'd have maybe they're combined. How small this town
- 14:00is. Probably just combined.
- 14:01I feel like there's probably just one person and then she's just
- 14:03like there's.
- 14:04A few people that work the paper, but there's a secretary there
- 14:07sitting there to help you guys out while the others work in the back.
- 14:11She's like, oh, how may I help
- 14:13you?
- 14:14Uh, yeah, I mean, uh, we're actually here
- 14:17on detective business.
- 14:19Oh, how are you doing, Denny?
- 14:22Oh, hey there. I'm doing pretty
- 14:25swell.
- 14:25How's the wife and kids?
- 14:28Oh, they're doing, uh,
- 14:30know Doug's. He's on the JV football
- 14:33team this year.
- 14:34Oh, that's so exciting. My little Markey is on
- 14:37JV football team.
- 14:38Oh, I bet they're giving each other a good
- 14:41walloping.
- 14:42Oh, I hope so. That makes them better to take down Oak
- 14:45Hill.
- 14:46That's darn tooten.
- 14:49Yeah. Anyway, what brings you folks in here
- 14:52today?
- 14:52Yeah, we were just hoping if maybe you had some information on
- 14:55the business, um, registration
- 14:58that might have been put in place for a recent local, uh,
- 15:01DJ on the radio.
- 15:04You're going to have to be a little more specific than that.
- 15:06Uh, we're looking for repip, uh,
- 15:10DJ Re. I suppose you spell that.
- 15:12R e uh,
- 15:15P-I-P. Yeah, that sounds right.
- 15:18That sounds about right. But I know who you're talking about. But
- 15:21I'll be honest, I know his station. I don't know the name of the
- 15:24business. Maybe I can look into it, but
- 15:27I know where to start. Well, maybe well,
- 15:30it'd be a really.
- 15:31Recent business listing and it would be.
- 15:33Filed under have a name of the radio station,
- 15:36maybe?
- 15:37Wasn't that like Shaqs or something?
- 15:40Uh, it was a hits from the old to
- 15:43the today.
- 15:45But it had a name. The station had a name.
- 15:48Did it?
- 15:49It did. I'm pretty sure it started with an
- 15:52S. It did.
- 15:53Shaq.
- 15:55Shaq.
- 15:56Not Shaq. Not Shaq.
- 15:58Shaq.
- 15:59Not shaq. Do you guys need me to just say
- 16:02it? The name of the radio station was
- 16:04Siren Song.
- 16:06Oh, yeah,
- 16:09we dug deep in our memories for
- 16:11that.
- 16:13You got shock. You kept hearing shock.
- 16:18Siren song radio.
- 16:21Oh.
- 16:21Jiminy Christmas, fellas. You
- 16:24know what I just realized?
- 16:26What's that?
- 16:26When he was spelling out the old repip,
- 16:29well, if you take the letters and you put them
- 16:32backwards, it spills a, uh, paper.
- 16:35Paper?
- 16:36Like the paid paper.
- 16:37Oh, does he make pies?
- 16:41No, he led
- 16:44children away.
- 16:45What? Yeah.
- 16:51Well, I mean, originally it was about, uh,
- 16:54wasn't about the Children's Crusade or something, um,
- 16:57along those lines.
- 16:59I don't know what you're talking about.
- 17:01I also don't know what.
- 17:04Uncle Danny.
- 17:05I don't mean did you want me to look up that station or
- 17:08do you find something about Piper?
- 17:10If you could look up that station.
- 17:12Like Ron Piper, you know,
- 17:15the local owns, uh, the local gym.
- 17:18Ron Piper? Is that what you're talking about?
- 17:20No.
- 17:21Maybe. I don't know.
- 17:22Okay. But I can look
- 17:25up that siren song radio
- 17:28station. I'll go find, uh, Daryl. He'll
- 17:31probably find the file somewhere.
- 17:32Thank you so much.
- 17:35Okay, so what is this whole Pied Piper thing? I
- 17:38don't know anything about this. I don't mean to make you sound kind of
- 17:41aged, Uncle Denny,
- 17:44but, uh, I'm not really aware of what that
- 17:47is. That old story or some oh, it's been a
- 17:49while.
- 17:50Let me think here.
- 17:51Now, I know some guys, they
- 17:54use pipes.
- 17:56Well, I mean, the story of the pipe Piper is what,
- 17:59the guy with the rats? But wasn't that
- 18:01also based on something
- 18:04else beyond that?
- 18:05So it's kind of like there's way more than just the rats.
- 18:08I was going to say. So it's kind of like all the old
- 18:10nursery rhymes and stuff where they were kind of metaphorical
- 18:13for something.
- 18:14Was he the one that did snakes, too, or is that someone else?
- 18:17So the story of the Pied Piper, if you guys want
- 18:20it, is the guy was hired, or
- 18:23rather was hired to
- 18:26a town, was having trouble, a.
- 18:27Huge rap problem, right?
- 18:28So he came into town to solve the rat issue. A local
- 18:31dude who could lure the rats away by playing music.
- 18:34Um, the thing is, after, uh,
- 18:37he got rid of the whole rat problem and just
- 18:40led them out of town, and he led them off a cliff where they all
- 18:42died. Uh, he came back to town and they were
- 18:45like, oh, you got rid of the rats.
- 18:47Thanks.
- 18:47And he's like, where's my money? And they're like, what money?
- 18:50So they didn't pay him the money he promised them. So the next day, he
- 18:53played his music and lured all the kids out of town to walk off
- 18:56the cliff. And then he walked away from the town. And
- 18:59that's the story of the Pied Piper.
- 19:00So we're not going to get our money?
- 19:05I'm just saying that's the story. So now he knows the context. Uh,
- 19:08his brain just went oh, yeah, there it is.
- 19:11I can see.
- 19:14Explaining it to us.
- 19:17It was actually security guard Joe who was just standing
- 19:20nearby. He was like, oh, I know that.
- 19:22That's why you always pay the milk, man.
- 19:24All right. I'm m lactose intolerant.
- 19:27No, I'm just kidding. Wow. Doubly.
- 19:30Why the car, Uncle Denny? Is that like an old black and white movie or
- 19:33something? Is that like a horror movie? It sounds like a horror
- 19:36movie. Is that episode of The Twilight Zone?
- 19:39No, uh, it's something you got to read in a book there.
- 19:42Okay.
- 19:43All right, so anyway,
- 19:45the lady comes back with a file and she's like, oh, I got your
- 19:48address here.
- 19:49Oh, fantastic way.
- 19:51It's not near town. Anyway, it's actually a weird
- 19:54building. Um, no one really uses anymore. It's the old
- 19:56abandoned warehouse. The, uh, crook and borrow out
- 19:59in the middle of the woods out there near Devil's Lake.
- 20:02The crook and borrow.
- 20:03All right, is it because he's a crook and he borrows our
- 20:06kids?
- 20:07No, that's just the old name of the warehouse.
- 20:10He's now turned it into a modern radio station, but
- 20:13that's just the place that I guess that's honestly pretty impressive.
- 20:16House shop.
- 20:18All right, I think we should head out in
- 20:21that direction.
- 20:21Here's the address. And she just hands you guys the address
- 20:24on a piece of postit she hands to you guys. Is, um,
- 20:28that anything else, folks?
- 20:29No, I think that's everything we needed. We were just
- 20:32curious. Even the other radio stations didn't know where the heck
- 20:34these guys he's brand new. I see that here.
- 20:37To date here, he was established, what, August
- 20:4010.
- 20:41Oh, wow.
- 20:42Yeah, 1210 days ago.
- 20:44Out of curiosity, I don't know if you were here maybe when
- 20:47he came in, when he registered the business.
- 20:50I have a few folks. I do remember an OD fellow coming
- 20:53in out of town who registered a new place. I must have been
- 20:56this place, but we've had a couple of new places registered
- 20:59here recently.
- 21:00Do you remember anything about him when he came in and you saw him?
- 21:03Not particularly. Um,
- 21:06I'm going to be honest. He had a mask
- 21:09on. Like a mask? Like,
- 21:12um, a doctor's mask
- 21:16you see in the hospital. Like he was sick or something.
- 21:19He was worried about that influenza that's been going around.
- 21:22Oh, yeah. He's not the only one wearing the mask
- 21:25around town. I heard
- 21:27spreading, but it's a real bummer.
- 21:29They just got rid of smallpox and now this.
- 21:32It's always something, isn't it? Always something. But so I didn't
- 21:35recognize it. Could have been a local member. I'm just not too familiar
- 21:38with. But yeah, uh, I didn't
- 21:41recognize him. All I know is he, uh, registered the
- 21:44place and he gave us his name.
- 21:48All right, well, thank you so much for your
- 21:50help. And with that, I'm going
- 21:53to start leading out the door.
- 21:56You guys will leave. Any last questions?
- 21:59What was this lady's name?
- 22:00She never gave a name, but she knew me.
- 22:03She knew you? Yeah. You literally could say any name if you want. It doesn't
- 22:06really matter. Gene, jean George is in there.
- 22:10See you later there, Gene.
- 22:12See you, Dennis. Uh, give your loves to the wife and the kids for
- 22:15me.
- 22:15Will do. Take care.
- 22:21So you guys walk away. You hear her talking to Daryl in the back.
- 22:24He's like, oh, yeah, his wife's in
- 22:27my book club.
- 22:31So you guys all hop in the car and I'm guessing you're heading straight
- 22:34over to this abandoned warehouse turned radio
- 22:36station. So you guys all get there
- 22:39and board it up.
- 22:43Can we just bust it open?
- 22:45There's?
- 22:45Ah, a front door. Yeah.
- 22:47Do we notice any kind of, um,
- 22:49satellite dishes or anything like that that.
- 22:51Are there's weird
- 22:53homemade tower on top of it? Okay,
- 22:56it's very homemade. A lot of random metal pieces that all
- 22:59kind of point up.
- 23:01You have like a vehicle?
- 23:02There is a car out front. Actually, it's a red
- 23:05pickup. Uh, yeah, other than
- 23:07that, there's a car here.
- 23:10It looks like it's used, and it looks like he's got some weird
- 23:12makeshift radio thing going.
- 23:14Really hard to kidnap kids with a flatbed
- 23:17truck.
- 23:18What do you mean? There's so much space back there, people would
- 23:20see it.
- 23:21Oh, maybe he got a cover. Maybe in the back.
- 23:24Maybe he's got a tarp.
- 23:25Why you kidnap kids in a van?
- 23:28Take, uh, a picture of the license plate
- 23:31there.
- 23:32So you do that.
- 23:32Good idea.
- 23:33And as you get out of the car, uh, you
- 23:36hear in the background some, um,
- 23:39low, like bass.
- 23:40Um okay, guys, so we
- 23:43already kind of have this idea that maybe he might be involved.
- 23:46This could be our guy. And I mean, the kids could be
- 23:49in there too. I don't know if it's necessarily the best
- 23:52idea to just go busting in the door, uh,
- 23:55or even knocking on it. I mean, should we knock on the door
- 23:58and try to act all, like, nice and polite, like we're just
- 24:01curious or I don't know, we're just out.
- 24:03In the middle of the nowhere trying.
- 24:05To get an autograph.
- 24:08You're soliciting and maybe
- 24:11you want to play like the, uh, Jehovah's witness card or
- 24:14something. Oh, man.
- 24:16Okay.
- 24:18Uh, you got like a book with your
- 24:20stuff?
- 24:22Uh, it's a bigfoot book.
- 24:26Everything you need to know about Bigfoot
- 24:28and his feet.
- 24:31The title of the book is what sort of
- 24:34Creature is it?
- 24:39Dictionary. That's good. That's clever. Oh, that's
- 24:42good.
- 24:43Uh, yeah.
- 24:44I suppose we could try to pedal this book to him.
- 24:47Maybe he'll even let us inside. Maybe that's what we try to push
- 24:50for. Bobby, what are you going to don't
- 24:53think usually they come in twos.
- 24:55I mean, this author does have a whole set of other books.
- 24:58Yeah, there you wait.
- 25:00We're trying to get him to join our he.
- 25:02Are we salesmen?
- 25:04He sells this know, after we sell.
- 25:06Him this book, maybe I tell him there's been reportings
- 25:09of bigfoot in the area.
- 25:12Okay.
- 25:14Maybe you'd find that interesting.
- 25:17And then we just kind of improv from there.
- 25:19I know I do.
- 25:20How many of us should be involved in this?
- 25:23Just, uh, out of curiosity, because I feel like if all three of us
- 25:26come walking up to the door and try to get them to buy this book
- 25:29or tell them about listen, what.
- 25:31If we try to sell, um, them the metal, uh,
- 25:34detector, and then you need to
- 25:37do a demonstration
- 25:40in the house?
- 25:41Like a pretty good idea there.
- 25:43Yeah, I like that. I think that's
- 25:46great. Just looping back a little bit here. How many of us
- 25:49should be involved in that? Because it kind of feels like
- 25:52it's a one man deal. Too many salesmen kind
- 25:54of freaks the customer out. Maybe one of
- 25:57maybe, uh, Danny. I don't know if you feel good,
- 26:00you know that metal detector better than anybody else.
- 26:03Maybe you try to sell the metal detector, and then
- 26:06Bobby and I can go look around the
- 26:09outside, and maybe we can find where he's keeping the kids. Maybe he's
- 26:12got one of those weird, like, ice basement things
- 26:15s that they used to have back in the day where they kept all their big old
- 26:18ice cubes and stuff to make.
- 26:21They were, like, big ice chunks. You know what I'm talking about? Like A Little
- 26:24House on the Prairie. You guys seen Little House? I don't know if that's I think that came
- 26:27out by this point. I could be wrong.
- 26:29Little House on the Prairie came out.
- 26:31And, like all right, I suppose
- 26:34I could take a crack at it. So here.
- 26:36All right, let's do that. Um,
- 26:40yeah, we'll just get out. We'll go disappear into the
- 26:43area around it's a forest. So, I mean, it's not like there's nowhere
- 26:46to go. And then yeah, you do your thing.
- 26:50And with that, I hop out of the truck
- 26:53and Bobby joining me. And we go
- 26:56into sort of the wooded area to kind of are you.
- 26:58Guys like, hiding and watching him as he's going to yeah, I think.
- 27:01We're going to keep an eye on him until we feel confident that he's got
- 27:04his.
- 27:04I mean, it'd be nice to get a look at this guy, too.
- 27:07That's a good point, too. Yeah.
- 27:08Get a visual. Okay. So you guys go
- 27:11hide, and you're now in the bushes, like, kind of watching.
- 27:13So, uh, Denny's going to set his camera
- 27:16down, um, facing
- 27:19the truck just in
- 27:22case somebody runs out the back and gets
- 27:25in there.
- 27:26Okay.
- 27:27He's, um, going to turn it on record.
- 27:30Hopefully.
- 27:34He'S going to start his tape
- 27:37recorder, and he's going to walk up and knock
- 27:39on the front door.
- 27:44Hello there. Anyone home?
- 27:47No reply,
- 27:50though, being at the door,
- 27:53you hear music more clearly in the background.
- 27:57Hello.
- 27:59Mind if I come in?
- 28:03Nothing.
- 28:06Try the door.
- 28:07Handle unlocked.
- 28:10I look back towards you guys
- 28:14we're.
- 28:14Just giving you, like, a little hand motion.
- 28:16Awkward thumbs up, confused, but, like,
- 28:19go for it. All right.
- 28:20I poke my head inside.
- 28:22Uh, when you poke your head inside, you see a hallway
- 28:26that leads that's lit.
- 28:27It's a lit hallway.
- 28:28It's got, like, bright colors in it looks like you're in a
- 28:31club that leads down and you can see
- 28:33down the hallway. It looks like you see a lot of strobe lights and
- 28:36lights going down the hallway. And you hear that's where
- 28:39all the music's coming from? It's Take On Me by AHA, uh,
- 28:42is what it is currently playing.
- 28:44No. Yeah.
- 28:44So.
- 29:07So what do you do, Denny?
- 29:09Stick my hand back, our head back outside,
- 29:12and I wave, uh, those two towards the other
- 29:15two.
- 29:15Towards me.
- 29:16Towards you? Yeah.
- 29:17He doesn't want to go alone. Don't be a wimp.
- 29:20I guess since yeah, we didn't get the salesman angle,
- 29:23I guess it's the fair point to be just screw it
- 29:25and go in. Uh, yeah.
- 29:27Okay.
- 29:27I tiptoe really awkwardly and move up closer
- 29:30to him, and I say, uh, Danny, do you
- 29:33still got that walkie talkie I gave you the other day?
- 29:36Oh, yeah, you betcha.
- 29:38All right, perfect. Just in
- 29:41case we get separated again.
- 29:42You guys all head inside.
- 29:44Yes.
- 29:45Okay, YouTube, when you enter, you see the same
- 29:48thing I described Denny. You guys all walk
- 29:51down that hallway towards the right.
- 29:54Yeah. Yeah.
- 29:54Okay, you guys all head in. As you guys head in, you
- 29:57see a giant open room filled
- 30:00with lights and, uh, music and dancing
- 30:03people.
- 30:04People.
- 30:04Yes. You see
- 30:07123-45-6789
- 30:10kids dancing on the dance floor. They're all just
- 30:13boogieing down, getting up, and you look up. Above the kids
- 30:16is a glass window where you can
- 30:19see a man standing behind the glass window
- 30:21with some headphones on. He's wearing a black
- 30:24mask, and he's going, yeah, pump up
- 30:27the jam. DJ reap him in the
- 30:29house. And he
- 30:32looks down and he spots you. And your spotlight flashes
- 30:35onto you guys. Hey, new
- 30:38gas.
- 30:46Denny takes a picture.
- 30:51No flash photography, please,
- 30:55in the dance house.
- 30:57Kenny's, uh, got the police reports
- 31:00that he got from last night, and he just holds one of them up and
- 31:03kind of, like, compares the picture of the missing kid
- 31:06to the person, one of the people dancing in front of him.
- 31:09And he's like, guys, I think we just
- 31:12found $25,000.
- 31:14Also, you immediately recognized Tim? Oh, yeah, that's
- 31:17Tim Reddit.
- 31:18Oh, hey, there's Jeff's kid right there.
- 31:20Well, it's good to know that they're alive. Um,
- 31:23excuse me, Mr. DJ.
- 31:27What's going on here?
- 31:29Why, just the party of the
- 31:31century, of course.
- 31:36That's it. And he's going right back to, like, playing his DJ set, uh,
- 31:39on his ear.
- 31:40These kids should be in school there.
- 31:44Can we, uh, try to talk to the kids?
- 31:47Go right ahead.
- 31:48Yeah, like to try to talk to the kid nearest
- 31:51me.
- 31:51Does he say anything, or is he what'd he say?
- 31:54What are you doing here?
- 31:55He smiles and keeps dancing. Stares at you.
- 31:57Hey, Timmy.
- 31:59Timmy, tim looks over at you and he's got a big
- 32:02smile on his face. And he's busting down.
- 32:04Hey, come on over here.
- 32:05He comes on over to you. Side
- 32:08hustle, wobs the hips back and
- 32:11forth. And he walks over to you.
- 32:12Yeah, it's quite the move there.
- 32:13He's in the cha cha shake now right next to you.
- 32:18Uh, what are you doing here, Tim? Your dad's worried about
- 32:21you, I imagine.
- 32:23Gives you a big grin and just keeps on dancing
- 32:25while staring at you.
- 32:26Do these kids that have been here the longest, you
- 32:29mean Sally and did, how do they
- 32:32look? Have they wet themselves
- 32:35disheveled? I mean, are there bathroom breaks?
- 32:37Uh, so you look over at Sally. You don't
- 32:40actually know which one you don't know which one would
- 32:43be Sally. But you do recognize
- 32:46Sally because she unlike the
- 32:49other kids, tim and, uh, the other
- 32:52kids you tried to talk to, which was a younger
- 32:54girl, they look happy and fine, but then you
- 32:57look over a girl in the back and she's just, like,
- 33:00really slowly dancing. And it's like
- 33:03she's, like, slow dancing with herself. And she
- 33:05looks huge bags under her eyes. And
- 33:08she's just, like, falling apart in the background. And she's
- 33:11just like, to the side. Not in the main
- 33:14area. Everyone else seems pretty lively and going at it,
- 33:17but she's just, like, off the side with
- 33:20another guy kind of near her who's also kind of like, grudgingly, uh,
- 33:24long. And that guy looks kind of strong,
- 33:26athletic, but he's kind of, like, struggling to keep up with the
- 33:29rest of the kids. All the other kids, they're going to town. They're having a time
- 33:32of their life right now. The DJ's like, hey, you guys
- 33:35here to join the party with
- 33:37DJ
- 33:39Dennis?
- 33:40What? I don't even know how to describe what's going
- 33:43on here, but I don't know that's Sally over there.
- 33:46And then you got Lou and that's Carl. And
- 33:49then the six kids from the party. Uh, this is
- 33:52all the missing kids. And Sally's not looking
- 33:55good over there. I'm going to just say that I'm not trying to insult
- 33:57her. This isn't about
- 34:01my views of attractiveness in a person.
- 34:03I would hope that we're not talking about how attractive
- 34:06children I'm just really.
- 34:08Trying to emphasize the fact here that who's still stuck in I
- 34:11think she.
- 34:11Might all the pedophiles
- 34:14ever.
- 34:14She might be in some trouble over there. And
- 34:17these guys, they're not even talking to us. What the heck is going on
- 34:20here?
- 34:23I, uh, try to grab him and stop
- 34:26him from dancing.
- 34:28You hold him and he just kind of, like,
- 34:30shakes off your hold.
- 34:32Oh my gosh. He's having a seizure.
- 34:35He's, like, changed having a dance seizure. He's
- 34:38changed his dance. He's like he sees you. He smiles and
- 34:41he places his hands on your hips. And then I start
- 34:44trying to do a double dance. Do a
- 34:47little duo dance.
- 34:48Hey.
- 34:48Oh, dear, Tim. Uh, you need some chamomile
- 34:51tea.
- 34:53He smiles at you.
- 34:55He's hopped up on that new Coke.
- 34:58Yeah, this must be a drug thing, Uncle Dennis.
- 35:00Oh, I meant the soda pop.
- 35:04All those kids in their soda.
- 35:06Yeah, that new Coke's not great. Too
- 35:08sweet.
- 35:10I preferred the old Coke.
- 35:12I'm so glad they're going to bring that back. Uh,
- 35:15I take my walkie talkie and I
- 35:18turn it to that channel that's just like,
- 35:22uh, feedback and static
- 35:25because you have to hold the button to do it or something. I don't know.
- 35:28Maybe if you hold the two too close together or whatever, and I just put it up to
- 35:31one of their ears.
- 35:33You see them pull away from the sound you're
- 35:36doing. And then as you're doing
- 35:39that, you, uh, all of a sudden hear the
- 35:41music in the room starting to get louder. And you look up at
- 35:44the DJ and he's like, moving his hands up the panels while he's still,
- 35:47like, holding his stuff and going, there's no time to let
- 35:50the music die tonight. DJ
- 35:53music in the house.
- 35:55Guys, I don't know what's going on here, but I
- 35:58feel like this music is interacting with whatever
- 36:01drugs these kids have taken. We got to stop
- 36:04this music.
- 36:05Yeah, I can't seem to snap Tim out
- 36:08of it, or any of these other kids for that matter.
- 36:10I'm going to look around. Do I see, like, speakers?
- 36:13Yeah, everywhere.
- 36:14Oh, man, we got to start smashing speakers, guys.
- 36:18I wouldn't appreciate that.
- 36:19DJ Reaps over this music, man. He's got
- 36:22good hearing.
- 36:23I can hear all and he points at his headphones
- 36:26and you know what? It bumps up the music.
- 36:29Uh, I'm like, maybe we should
- 36:32step out of this room a little bit here when we talk,
- 36:36uh, when you.
- 36:36Say that, the door to the back of the room
- 36:39shuts. And you see Lou,
- 36:42the athletic kid who's looked really tired just
- 36:45shutting the door and putting, like, a bar
- 36:48over it while slowly
- 36:50dancing.
- 36:51Ah, nerds.
- 36:52Um, well, shoot, I was going to say that maybe you
- 36:55go get your bowling ball. That'd be a great
- 36:58smashing mechanism.
- 36:59Can I just start kicking one of these speakers?
- 37:02Yeah, go for children.
- 37:07I'm going to do that.
- 37:08Okay. Yeah, just start kicking it. And you're going to hear DJ Reapib
- 37:11like, hey, don't do that. That's
- 37:14not
- 37:16it.
- 37:21And you keep doing it. Uh, he's like,
- 37:24hey, you should stop that.
- 37:25I'm going to stop that.
- 37:27I like, stop that. And as he says that last
- 37:30line, two of the young guys walk over to you and
- 37:33they grab you and they start trying to pull you away
- 37:36from the speaker while dancing. It's like a
- 37:38pullaway shot.
- 37:42I'm going to help
- 37:44her get out of it. I'm going to try to wrench
- 37:47the arms off her.
- 37:49So you're doing help out? Yeah, go for help out. I think
- 37:52also, can you roll kick some ass for me, which
- 37:54is plus tough. You're going to kick some ass on
- 37:57that radio, on the speaker and then you're rolling.
- 38:00Cool.
- 38:00I rolled a four.
- 38:01Yeah, I got eight.
- 38:04Okay. So you get to
- 38:07do some damage to it, whatever
- 38:10kicking it. So like one damage. You do one damage to the
- 38:13speaker system. Actually, that one. You see some sparks after you
- 38:16get some good solid kicks in it. You wearing your boots, right? So you actually
- 38:19go to town on it. You see some sparks.
- 38:21I do have my steel toes.
- 38:23You can't tell if that one's gone bad
- 38:26because there's so many of them. The music is still quite loud,
- 38:29but you did see some sparks. So you do know you
- 38:32were starting to make some progress before these guys starting to drag you.
- 38:34Is there any wiring? Is there like a hub
- 38:37somewhere?
- 38:38Oh, yeah. No, there's some wires. So as you look around,
- 38:41as you're being dragged away so as you get dragged
- 38:44away, after you're away from the speaker and
- 38:47looks like you're stopped kicking it, they let go of you and
- 38:50they go right back to dancing. So there's
- 38:53that. And then you look around and you
- 38:56see some wires and there's like looks like the speaker system's wires
- 38:59all go up to the ceiling and then they all lead
- 39:01to, um, the glass room.
- 39:05You also see a door that's like, to the side of
- 39:08the glass room.
- 39:09I was just about to ask if there was any way to get up there.
- 39:11We could go beat the crap out of DJ
- 39:14repip, I suppose, and
- 39:17just turn it off manually up there.
- 39:20Let's just do that. Let's start heading for that.
- 39:22I'm not exactly a fighter guy. Uh, I'm more
- 39:25of a kid detective. But,
- 39:28uh, yeah. Uh, Denny,
- 39:31you're the adult here?
- 39:32Yeah. Maybe we can just are you.
- 39:38He'S fully immersed in the he does not see himself
- 39:40as the adult here. This is his uncle.
- 39:43He's older than him. He is a family
- 39:45man and therefore a man.
- 39:48We can, uh, rule it out that this guy can be
- 39:51reasoned with. So let's just go talk to him
- 39:54here.
- 39:54Yeah, he put that's a good point here. We can tell him to
- 39:57turn off the music.
- 39:58So you guys all head over to the
- 40:01door. Excuse me? Knocking on the window.
- 40:04Please turn it down. You guys walk over to the door
- 40:07and as you guys do, um, some of the kids who are
- 40:10nearby all stand and block the door from
- 40:12getting walked through as they're still dancing. They're like making a wall.
- 40:15Push these kids over.
- 40:17Go for it. Roll. Uh, act under pressure.
- 40:20This seems actually or
- 40:24kick some ass, honestly, whichever one seems more
- 40:27fitting to you.
- 40:281111.
- 40:30Um, yeah. Do you want to just knock them all over like
- 40:33a bowling? Yeah, sure. They all line
- 40:36up, and you just go to the side of them and hip
- 40:39check them. And then 1234, they all just come fall
- 40:42into the ground. And they're like, whoa.
- 40:46They're, like, trying to do this weird, like, dance,
- 40:49but standing up at the same time. So they're trying to make it
- 40:51look smooth as they're trying to stand up, but no.
- 40:54Strike.
- 40:56Good one, Bobby. And you
- 40:59see, the door is unblocked.
- 41:00We rush towards the door through the.
- 41:03Gap, and you open it. And there's a little staircase
- 41:06that leads up to the left, uh, towards the.
- 41:07Glass room, usher those guys in. And
- 41:10I close the door behind us.
- 41:12Nice.
- 41:12And you hear hands trying to open the door behind
- 41:15you. Do you hold it or hold the door or
- 41:18lock?
- 41:18Hold door.
- 41:19Yeah, hold it and then lock it.
- 41:21And then you let go. And the locks holding as
- 41:24you two run up the stairs.
- 41:26Yes.
- 41:26A woman steps out.
- 41:28Holy crap.
- 41:29Holds her hand out, and she ah. Uh,
- 41:32I'm gonna stop you right there.
- 41:34Who exactly are you?
- 41:36My name's Penny.
- 41:38Nice to meet you, Penny.
- 41:38I'm the Co DJ. I actually
- 41:41own this place. And I need you
- 41:44guys to leave and
- 41:47allow, uh, me and DJ Reed Pip over there to
- 41:50continue with tonight's performance.
- 41:52How about a counteroffer? You turn
- 41:55off the music and you let these kids go home.
- 41:58How about a counter? Counteroffer. You leave
- 42:01now. Alive.
- 42:03Can I push her?
- 42:05Go for it.
- 42:07Maybe down the stairs. She's in front of
- 42:10you on the pull her down.
- 42:12That makes more sense.
- 42:14Eight.
- 42:15You and whoever you're harming inflict harm on each other. The
- 42:18amount of harm is based on whatever your damage is.
- 42:21Both go down the stairs.
- 42:22You both go down the stairs.
- 42:25That gives me an opportunity. You can go up on
- 42:28running.
- 42:29Yeah. But you need to roll under act
- 42:32under pressure to make sure you don't get taken out by the two
- 42:34ladies rolling down the stairs in front of you.
- 42:38It's a very narrow chance.
- 42:40Don't ruin your chance.
- 42:41Don't blow it. You blew it.
- 42:44That's like a three.
- 42:47Yeah.
- 42:47No, you definitely got taken out with this. Uh,
- 42:51maybe you can fall down the stairs.
- 42:54Dennis looks over as this new lady
- 42:57has shown up with the two people on
- 43:00top. She's on top of two of your friends. And you're like, oh,
- 43:03what's going on here? And she stands up
- 43:06and rises and goes, that's it, mama's. Uh, got to
- 43:09do what mama's got to do. And she
- 43:12flashes her fingers.
- 43:13Oh, I was worried what you were going to say.
- 43:15Sorry.
- 43:15No.
- 43:17She shows her fingers, and as she.
- 43:19Does, she's doing jazz hands.
- 43:21Giant claws come out of her hand.
- 43:23Holy crap, she's got giant
- 43:26it's curl a thousand plans.
- 43:29And she says, I can't. And she points a
- 43:31really long nail at you guys. Goes I can't let
- 43:34you live. I've got business to
- 43:37do here, and you guys are in a fight.
- 43:40Can we break her nails?
- 43:45I reach in my pocket. In my
- 43:48stressed situation, there's one specific thing that
- 43:51calms me down, and that is a
- 43:53Cougle Cracker. And so I
- 43:56pop a Cougle Cracker into my mouth
- 43:59and chew it and swallow. That was
- 44:01weirdly descriptive. But the key
- 44:04thing is that that's my Power Snack.
- 44:07And whenever, uh, I take a moment to eat
- 44:10and enjoy my Power Snack, I get plus one forward,
- 44:13and I desperately need it.
- 44:15So you're underneath this dog pile here? Well, she got
- 44:18up. She got up. Yeah, but you still yeah, Bobby,
- 44:21uh.
- 44:21And I are pulling each other off.
- 44:22Of each other, and you're just, like, sneaking a
- 44:25man.
- 44:26I really need a Cougle Cracker right now.
- 44:29Dude, do you have diabetes?
- 44:31I have hypoglycemia.
- 44:35You'll hear about it when
- 44:37Google crackers before.
- 44:40It's supposed to be like Scooby Doo.
- 44:42Yeah, I get it. Anyways, you pop the Cougle Cracker
- 44:45and you go puppy pout. Noah
- 44:48okay.
- 44:49Uh, gotta recenter myself. Okay. She's
- 44:52got claws.
- 44:53What the hell you're doing?
- 44:55Like, a nerdy
- 44:58kid version of, like, the Sherlock Holmes thing where
- 45:01he, like, plans out.
- 45:02Oh, yeah.
- 45:03If I strike her in the ribs, it's going to cause
- 45:06three, uh, pristine fractures.
- 45:09Three months to unlike Sherlock Holmes, where he
- 45:12follows through with the attack. He just thinks them through
- 45:15and then goes, man, kids.
- 45:21So, Bobby, what do you do?
- 45:24What can I do something to you?
- 45:26I offer her a Kugoo cracker.
- 45:28Okay. It's not going to help her,
- 45:32but.
- 45:34I want to try to, like, sweep her legs.
- 45:37Sure, go for it. Kick, uh, some ass again.
- 45:40Not really much you can do here. I
- 45:43got seven lands again, but
- 45:46she falls right on top of you again.
- 45:48All right, you guys, make it count.
- 45:50You both take one damage.
- 45:52Okay.
- 45:53What are you doing there?
- 45:54I'm going to say a lady. Say
- 45:57cheese. And I flash her with my
- 46:00Polaroid camera. Helping out Kenny
- 46:03with a help out action.
- 46:05Yeah, roll for that seven.
- 46:07And there's enough help grandson plus one.
- 46:10To their role, but also expose yourself
- 46:13to trouble or danger.
- 46:14Uhoh, she skits
- 46:17flashed. And as she does, she
- 46:19waves her hand out in front of you
- 46:22and, uh, to kind of hit away at the thing. And
- 46:25she hits the camera with her extended claw, and it goes
- 46:28flying into the wall.
- 46:31Oh, no, I didn't buy the
- 46:33warranty.
- 46:36But this is the Polaroid, though, not the
- 46:38JVC.
- 46:39Yeah. Okay, well, thank goodness.
- 46:41JVC. I left.
- 46:45Recording a truck.
- 46:47That's all happening inside. It's just recording a
- 46:50truck.
- 46:52Distant. Rick Ashley is
- 46:55playing uh, mind you, that is what's currently
- 46:58playing right now. It's Never going to Give you up by Rick ashley
- 47:00that's awesome.
- 47:01I am going to take a risky chance
- 47:04now that she's kind of, like, out of sorts, I'm going to
- 47:07do something that my
- 47:10character would only do in a hard, intense, anxiety
- 47:13driven situation where his friends are being attacked
- 47:16or family, I guess. Friends and family. Is he's going to take
- 47:19his flashlight and trade a whopper on the head? The
- 47:22back of the head.
- 47:23Hard as he possibly go for it. Yeah. In
- 47:26hopes that he can get plus two forward on this.
- 47:28I have plus one and a, um, minus one of tough.
- 47:31You have plus one from oh, and I got a plus one from him.
- 47:34So I do have a plus one at the end of the day.
- 47:36Nine.
- 47:37Yeah. I didn't mention at the start, but I was going to give each of you one
- 47:39luck for this adventure.
- 47:41Then I'm not going to use my luck right now.
- 47:43Yeah, just one luck for this adventure. Got it. That actually makes sense.
- 47:46It's basically you make any roll of ten.
- 47:48Okay. I will not use my luck. I
- 47:51will just deal the one damage I believe it is, and of
- 47:54course, I'm going to take a damage.
- 47:55Oh, yeah. No, you bonk her in the head. But again,
- 47:58you guys are still in this very narrow hallway. And
- 48:01as she gets bonked, she moves her hand up
- 48:04to go for her head, and she slashes you through the
- 48:07chest for two damage,
- 48:11and you kind of pull back and you're, like, holding your
- 48:13stomach. Oh, gosh.
- 48:15My last Jedi t shirt.
- 48:18It's all torn up and bloody.
- 48:20We'll go back in the order to bobby, what are you
- 48:23doing in this contained situation? It's a very
- 48:26weird fight where we're in a very tiny
- 48:29hallway with this lady
- 48:32slashing about with her long claws.
- 48:35Also, as she's fighting, uh,
- 48:38she is slowly becoming
- 48:41a werewolf. Her woman persona, her
- 48:44woman like features of a human are starting to fade
- 48:47away, and her face is starting to become more
- 48:50narrow, and her back is starting
- 48:53to like her back is starting to form like little
- 48:56mini wings behind it.
- 48:59I don't know what to do. I don't roll.
- 49:02Good.
- 49:03Do whatever you want. Any of us have really rolled.
- 49:05Well, if you haven't noticed, I don't think
- 49:08this party has no fighters.
- 49:11Bunch of sleuths. No.
- 49:13I want to take you back to basics. Can I just punch your
- 49:16in the face?
- 49:17Yeah, just punch her right in the face.
- 49:20Yeah. Looking for this? Nice, solid connection.
- 49:266789.
- 49:29Okay, that's good. You get a nice, solid punch right in the
- 49:32face. Does damage to her, and
- 49:36she, um, responds back by just straight up
- 49:38kicking you right in the chest. And you go
- 49:41flying back into the wall and, like, coke cower into the
- 49:44ground. You're like, oh, that hurts.
- 49:47And you take two damage. Nice, solid connection.
- 49:50Guys, we're gonna die.
- 49:51Honestly, uh, I look over at Danny and I say, danny
- 49:54Danny. And I'm clutching the door that we came in,
- 49:57uh, that has the people wait, did you bar it no, I
- 49:59just locked just locked it. I'm like I hold the
- 50:02knob so I'm, like, ready to unlock it. I'm like,
- 50:05Danny, push her through the.
- 50:06Oh, that's just what I was thinking.
- 50:08And which way does it open out? Oof.
- 50:11Okay. I gotta really push on this one.
- 50:13For this help, because there's currently some people trying to get
- 50:16in. Step back. I'm trying to let you
- 50:19in.
- 50:21I
- 50:26wouldn't you think they're going to respond? They responded
- 50:29once tonight.
- 50:30I'm just imagining this as a help out. I don't know if that's what
- 50:32you.
- 50:33Who'S opening the door? I'm opening the door, and then he's going
- 50:36to push her.
- 50:36Yeah.
- 50:37Okay.
- 50:38And then I'll have to close the door as well.
- 50:39I think you're going to need act under pressure.
- 50:41Okay.
- 50:41That's the same thing. Yeah, that's totally fine.
- 50:44Well, I do have a plus one because of my snack. Yes, that's
- 50:47seven, but then it would just bring it right back down to a six.
- 50:50Um, unless does
- 50:53his plus one still apply?
- 50:55Sure.
- 50:55Okay.
- 50:56She's still blind. She got blinded, and then
- 50:59she got hit in the top of her head and then punched in the face. She is very
- 51:02much well, that only.
- 51:03Puts me at a seven.
- 51:04She's just flailing around this.
- 51:06I'm going to have a choice down.
- 51:07I'm going to give you a hard choice here.
- 51:08All right.
- 51:08So you're going to have to push this door, and you're going to have to push it really hard, because
- 51:11as you go to open it, you feel the bodies of
- 51:14the other people on the other side of trying to open it. So
- 51:17you think, oh, jeez. If I want to get this
- 51:20door open, I'm going to have to just ram into it.
- 51:23Okay.
- 51:23And because of that, not only will I be out there on the
- 51:26outside of the door with her, but I'm also
- 51:29going to take a damage because I'm going to have to ram this as hard as I can with
- 51:32my shoulder.
- 51:32That's fine.
- 51:33So you're willing to do that?
- 51:34I'm willing to do that.
- 51:35Okay. So you bust down the door, shoulder
- 51:38first into it. It goes flying open. The four people are
- 51:41trying to get into the door. Odo. Sprawling backwards, and they all fall
- 51:44over on top of each other, and they're like a dancing mess
- 51:47on top of each other. And then you
- 51:50are holding onto the door and sliding to the
- 51:53outside, and you're just, like, holding the side of the door and kind of
- 51:56fall to the ground right next to it, holding your shoulder.
- 51:58Push her out.
- 52:00Denny grabs this creature
- 52:03like a log at the lumber mill
- 52:07and heaves her towards the door.
- 52:10Okay, that is definitely going to be some, uh kick some
- 52:12ass. You are seeing how much you can
- 52:15teach here. Oh, my.
- 52:18There we go.
- 52:19Finally, the good roll.
- 52:23Dad strength just showed up there. Oh, no, it's
- 52:26eleven. Uh, eleven. That's still good. That's still
- 52:29ten plus. So you get to do the normal effect, which
- 52:31in this case is throwing her out the but you get to add an
- 52:34extra effect. What do you want to add to it?
- 52:37Um, so I do what?
- 52:40Choose one extra effect?
- 52:41Yeah, it's one of those
- 52:44I want.
- 52:45To force them where I want.
- 52:47Perfect.
- 52:47Which is on top of all of.
- 52:49The you really gave a good
- 52:52throw.
- 52:52She, like, rolls like a log
- 52:55right on top.
- 52:56Bowl strike.
- 53:00Dinny always gets the spare.
- 53:02There you go. And then you roll. She falls
- 53:05onto the pile and she goes as she does
- 53:08that, uh, she does slash at you as you're holding
- 53:11it. She like, slashes you as you finish the throw. And you take two
- 53:14damage as, like, her claws go ripping into your arm as
- 53:17you release her. But through the pain, you still finish the
- 53:19throw and she goes rolling out the door.
- 53:22Bobby, what do you, um
- 53:25I'll I'll.
- 53:26Help Kenny get back
- 53:29in.
- 53:29So you're gonna quickly run out, help him up, and then bring him back
- 53:32in?
- 53:32Yeah.
- 53:33Okay, you do that. I don't think you really need a roll. You just go
- 53:36ahead and grab him and you guys shut the door behind you and lock it.
- 53:39One of you going to hold it.
- 53:42Uh, I can't okay, you're going
- 53:45to hold it.
- 53:45Okay. You're going to hold it and you're going to hear slash. You're going to
- 53:48hear the people trying to get it, but you're mostly going to hear the
- 53:51lady screeching, like, let me
- 53:54in. You're going to hear, like, claws. And you're seeing, why would
- 53:57we do that? Her claws starting to rip into the
- 54:00door and going through the door. And you're like, having to hold
- 54:03it while ducking away from it, like the
- 54:06claws that are slashing through.
- 54:07Okay, well, you guys should hurry.
- 54:09You two, what are you doing?
- 54:12All right, let's get up there. Come on, Kenny.
- 54:14I grab Kenny, like, give him a steady hand
- 54:17as we run up the stairs.
- 54:18Gotta stop this guy. We
- 54:21gotta save these kids. We go running up to the is
- 54:24there another door or no.
- 54:26DJ repip's right there.
- 54:27He's just, like, straight accident.
- 54:28He's just, like, turned sideways to you guys as he's, like,
- 54:31controlling his DJ booth. And he's just like,
- 54:34hey, stop right there. DJ
- 54:36Reap says, so.
- 54:41I don't think so. Uh,
- 54:44as we come up the stairs rushing
- 54:47towards him.
- 54:48And then he takes a fighting stance.
- 54:50Oh, boy.
- 54:51And he goes, oh, I've been practicing for
- 54:54this. DJ reef knows
- 54:56karate. He, like, leans
- 54:59over to the mic and repeats
- 55:03out.
- 55:03I look over at Denny and I just give him a
- 55:06fast nod, like, you get him. And I pull out my
- 55:09flashlight and I just flick it on right in DJ's
- 55:12face.
- 55:12Yeah. Blind accent.
- 55:13Uh, I want to read a bad situation.
- 55:15Roll.
- 55:18Nine.
- 55:20You, uh, could ask one of the questions there.
- 55:25Um, so I'm looking at the control board.
- 55:28I want to see what's most vulnerable to
- 55:30me.
- 55:31It's,
- 55:36uh, plugged in by a single cord.
- 55:39Oh.
- 55:43But it's like but it's like cleverly master
- 55:45cable. It's like cleverly disguised behind
- 55:48him. It's just like little to the side, like it's
- 55:51underneath a power strip, like one of those trip
- 55:53protectors. But it then goes weaves into the back
- 55:56wall where there's a single outlet it's plugged into.
- 56:00Okay.
- 56:01It's a really strong outlet.
- 56:03Oh.
- 56:04You know it well.
- 56:06And to be fair, the speakers can.
- 56:09All be plugged into other outlets. Huh.
- 56:11But they can't play music. If the thing that plays the music.
- 56:14To be fair yeah. That just works for the DJ box.
- 56:17I say, kenny, catch.
- 56:20Take this.
- 56:22I'm standing right next to yeah.
- 56:24So actually, I reach into my back pocket. I
- 56:27say, Kenny, take this
- 56:29and cut the cord. And I hand him
- 56:32my multi tool.
- 56:36All right? Kenny takes it in his hand. He's like, you
- 56:39got it, Uncle Dennis.
- 56:40So what are you going to do, Uncle Dennis?
- 56:43Flips out the serrated knife.
- 56:45Oh, okay, Uncle Dennis.
- 56:47I, uh, reach into my case
- 56:50and pull my jacket and pull out this
- 56:53case, pop it open,
- 56:56and pull out two OD, uh,
- 56:59looking rods, which are actually
- 57:02not a weapon, but they are my dousing
- 57:04rods.
- 57:07Oh, my word.
- 57:11Are you just going to go wildly swinging?
- 57:13Uh,
- 57:16they're like L shaped metal pieces.
- 57:18So I kind of take them.
- 57:22They're just, like,
- 57:24gripped, like, in a stabbing position.
- 57:27Oh, my word.
- 57:29I say, let's get groovy.
- 57:33And he says, Right back at you.
- 57:35Uh, and then you guys start going at each
- 57:38other. I need you to roll some kick some ass, and I
- 57:41need you to roll act under pressure there, Kenny.
- 57:46There we go.
- 57:48Hey, finally, you guys go, look, I got a
- 57:51nine.
- 57:51Great roll there.
- 57:52I got a ten.
- 57:55Perfect. I wasn't making that up.
- 57:57I just had to do the math in my head.
- 57:58Uh, so first off, we're going to wait. I got an eleven. Technically, we're going to start with
- 58:01Dennis six plus five. Dennis, you just go straight
- 58:04at him and you just start whacking him away. I'm assuming the
- 58:07damage number low. It's like one,
- 58:10right?
- 58:11I mean, technically it's nothing because they're not actually
- 58:14weapons.
- 58:16Yep. We'll do one in this case because DJ
- 58:18Repip's not like Monterey. He's literally just a human.
- 58:21So he does take damage, but you take some
- 58:24damage back because
- 58:27he's bigger dude. He is a big, burly dude. So he
- 58:30just starts full up walloping you, and you're just taking a couple
- 58:33of jabs of stuff. You take two harm to your
- 58:36ribs, but you're just like
- 58:38buying time, because as you do, you see out
- 58:41the corner of your eye, your nephew go running by, and he just
- 58:44goes just quick.
- 58:48Slice.
- 58:49And as he does, immediately all the
- 58:52music goes, what song was you said wasn't, uh, it rick
- 58:54Gasly is never going to give you, never going to give
- 58:57you, never going to watch you.
- 59:02And then all the music stops.
- 59:06Oh, crap. Does that turn off the lights too? No.
- 59:08Okay. Just controls the music. And
- 59:11you guys see, uh,
- 59:14uh, DJ Repip, who's now got you in a
- 59:17chokehold, mind you, he's holding you. And then he just
- 59:20stops and looks down at
- 59:23you and goes, oh, whoa, sorry, dude. And he
- 59:26releases his arm from you and releases the
- 59:29chokehold. He says, whoa, what's
- 59:31happening? Uh,
- 59:34and as that happens, the door you're holding
- 59:37breaks down as this lady
- 59:40pushes through and finally pushes through. And you go
- 59:42scrambling up the stairs, uh,
- 59:46with these guys. And this lady comes running out. By this
- 59:49point, she's just full, unchanged, and she's got full on
- 59:52wings, claws, and her face has become beak
- 59:54like. And she's like, you'll pay for
- 59:57this. My mission, my goal,
- 1:00:00my I
- 1:00:02kenny.
- 1:00:03Turns to look at her holding this multi tool in
- 1:00:06one hand and his flashlight in the other. And he
- 1:00:09says, no, we're getting paid
- 1:00:12for this.
- 1:00:15Shines the light directly into her eyes.
- 1:00:18I don't know.
- 1:00:18For some reason he thinks that works and hopes that it
- 1:00:21blinds her. And then the other two can actually
- 1:00:24do something.
- 1:00:25Okay. Yes.
- 1:00:26Roll.
- 1:00:26Help out.
- 1:00:27I guess the key thing was his special.
- 1:00:30Oh, that's not bad.
- 1:00:31And then are you two going to fight her?
- 1:00:32Um, I have a gun.
- 1:00:35I was going to say I have.
- 1:00:36Been thinking about that as the person that helped you make that character this
- 1:00:39entire freaking time. Like you went to go smash the speakers.
- 1:00:42And I'm thinking to myself, she's got a baseball bat.
- 1:00:46Oh, that too. But that's probably in the truck. Honestly,
- 1:00:48that's probably in the truck. She's got a knife.
- 1:00:51That doesn't really help. I guess when you mentioned the cables, it's like, oh yeah, you have
- 1:00:54a knife that could work. And then nothing happened there. And then this entire
- 1:00:57time when we've been fighting, I'm like, she has a gun.
- 1:01:00I know, but to be fair, in that hallway,
- 1:01:02that gun would have been a poor choice because there's a lot of
- 1:01:05close quarters combat. But right here, it's very
- 1:01:08clear. She's standing there wide open. And
- 1:01:11did you I got a seven. Okay.
- 1:01:14My cough cracker is literally just negating. It
- 1:01:17provides you plus one. But because you stuck out your hand
- 1:01:20to flash blind her, she again does the, uh, instinct
- 1:01:22thing, swipes at it and hits it out of your hand,
- 1:01:25causing it to fly into the wall, breaking it. And also your
- 1:01:28hand takes one damage. But
- 1:01:31now you pull out the gun.
- 1:01:32I have a gun.
- 1:01:36I'm going to try to shoot her.
- 1:01:37Okay, go for it.
- 1:01:38So what do I have to do?
- 1:01:39You're going to roll, kick some ass, and you get a plus one. Because she's
- 1:01:42blinded.
- 1:01:42She comes charging at us.
- 1:01:46Oh, yeah.
- 1:01:48And you have a plus one on.
- 1:01:50That for that one. Kick
- 1:01:52some ass is which one tough. I got
- 1:01:55a plus two.
- 1:01:56Yeah. And then plus one. Huh? She rolled an
- 1:01:591114.
- 1:02:01Technically, the machine gives look at
- 1:02:04ten plus you got to add an effect. So on top of what
- 1:02:07your gun does, you get to add
- 1:02:10on the, uh oh.
- 1:02:12So the advanced only gets used if.
- 1:02:15You level that up? Yeah, if you level that up. So how
- 1:02:17much damage does your gun do?
- 1:02:19Two.
- 1:02:20So you add an effect. What effect do you want to add?
- 1:02:22You inflict terrible harm.
- 1:02:24Okay, so what's that do?
- 1:02:25Plus one harm.
- 1:02:26Okay, so you're doing three damage.
- 1:02:28Woohoo.
- 1:02:30Okay. Um, she looks bad out
- 1:02:32of place, but
- 1:02:35she's blinded. She can't really respond, but she hears the
- 1:02:38fire of a gun. She sees like a second light flash in front
- 1:02:41of her and then feels and she just like, double like it
- 1:02:44sweeps both her arms down and sends your gun falling
- 1:02:47to the ground as she swipes your arm. You take one
- 1:02:50damage as well as your arm gets ripped apart
- 1:02:52by these outstretched claws. And then we
- 1:02:55go to Dennis.
- 1:02:57All ah. Right.
- 1:02:57Dennis is on his feet now
- 1:03:00after being almost choked out by
- 1:03:03DJ repip.
- 1:03:05I am unstable, gentlemen.
- 1:03:08Yeah, that means you're bleeding out. Uh, I think I might be, too.
- 1:03:11I think all of you are. I'm doing all right. Hey,
- 1:03:14there you go.
- 1:03:14Well, it's on you.
- 1:03:16I mean, I'm dying, but I still got
- 1:03:19some marks left.
- 1:03:21Is it even worth the money at this point?
- 1:03:23Yes.
- 1:03:23Um, so he's dropped.
- 1:03:27I think it's funny, though. It's not about the helping the kids. It's
- 1:03:30all about the money for you guys.
- 1:03:33His dowsing rods have fallen to the
- 1:03:36ground somewhere in the scuffle. Maybe one still lodged
- 1:03:38in the back of that guy. He
- 1:03:41reaches around to his back and grasps
- 1:03:44his camera. Zooms in on
- 1:03:47his candy apple red
- 1:03:50coin computer. You see the mark
- 1:03:53one, uh,
- 1:03:55Ltd on the side
- 1:03:58of his metal detector.
- 1:04:00And he grasped it like a baseball bat
- 1:04:03with the handle at the base.
- 1:04:06Um, oh, no,
- 1:04:08says, oh, this will
- 1:04:11leave a mark.
- 1:04:16A step one, two to the
- 1:04:19left. One, two to the right.
- 1:04:22Three steps forward, one step back.
- 1:04:25A little chacha. And
- 1:04:28with a swing on his hips, he winds up
- 1:04:31and gives like an upper cut nice.
- 1:04:34Right to her chin.
- 1:04:36Nice.
- 1:04:36And she's going to try to kick some ass.
- 1:04:41And he got
- 1:04:44his help at um all yes.
- 1:04:46She's still blinded, so plus one.
- 1:04:48Okay, that's going to be a nine, uh, just
- 1:04:51short. Unless
- 1:04:54oh, yeah, her luck.
- 1:04:55I'm going to use my luck.
- 1:04:58I mean, it's very fitting here. I would definitely give, like,
- 1:05:01inspiration for this. Yeah, you give all this wind up. You give the
- 1:05:04perfect bowl
- 1:05:08sacrificing your, um, metal detector, and
- 1:05:11you whack her in the chin and she just
- 1:05:14solid. You see a stream of blood come out as she just
- 1:05:17saw the connection. And you see her sprawl like arms
- 1:05:20waving in the air as she steps back. One, two
- 1:05:23as she's losing her balance and then falls down the stairs.
- 1:05:25And you just hear right
- 1:05:28into the back of the wall, and her head just
- 1:05:31slunks down, and
- 1:05:34she's presumably knocked out or
- 1:05:37dead.
- 1:05:37Are we going to finish her off? What are you doing?
- 1:05:40I approach this downed
- 1:05:42creature, and I grab
- 1:05:46does she have hair? Yes. Okay.
- 1:05:48It's more feathers at this point.
- 1:05:49Uh, okay. Well, I grab a handful of these
- 1:05:51feathers, and I say,
- 1:05:55well, I think we all can
- 1:05:58agree that the supernatural doesn't
- 1:06:01exist. The reality
- 1:06:03behind this monster is that she's
- 1:06:06actually and I'm going to use my move
- 1:06:09unmasked, which is
- 1:06:11that, uh, when you have a monster
- 1:06:14captured or at bay, you may explain it's not a
- 1:06:17monster after all, but a specific person in
- 1:06:20a mask. You must explain the real reason for all the
- 1:06:23seemingly supernatural events that you have seen
- 1:06:26and how the villain was behind them. Uh, and
- 1:06:28then I roll for Sharp. I'm just going to tell you right now, I'm
- 1:06:31just going to use my luck.
- 1:06:33Yeah, I kind of feel that's what you're going to do.
- 1:06:35You're not going to roll just for funsies.
- 1:06:37I mean, what's the point if you.
- 1:06:40Really desperately that's not bad.
- 1:06:41Oh, that's actually not terrible, but not.
- 1:06:43As good as it and I was.
- 1:06:44Going to give him plus one
- 1:06:46ongoing.
- 1:06:48Because you got the plus one. It technically would have worked.
- 1:06:51There you go. There you go. Why not
- 1:06:54funny? Because I knew you had that ability, and I prepared it
- 1:06:57for it, but not for this character. I prepared it for, uh,
- 1:07:00DJ Repep.
- 1:07:01Oh, that's fine. I can go up to him who.
- 1:07:02Has a mask as well.
- 1:07:06I was fully prepared for DJ Repept, but it
- 1:07:09does make sense for her because she is more supernatural than
- 1:07:12him.
- 1:07:12But, I mean, I can leave that. I can go for the other thing.
- 1:07:15And we can just reset from no, just go. All
- 1:07:17right. You, uh, clearly had a person in mind,
- 1:07:20so who was it? You have
- 1:07:22to explain it.
- 1:07:25I'm here on the edge of my seat, too.
- 1:07:27I say all of this was an
- 1:07:30adult beverage induced trip.
- 1:07:33They've been using some sort of strange
- 1:07:36drug like chemicals, probably from the
- 1:07:39forest that we live right next to. And there's
- 1:07:41only one person that we know that has
- 1:07:44access and knowledge of everything that happens in
- 1:07:47this forest and everything inside of it.
- 1:07:50And that is and as I pull back the mask, I
- 1:07:53say, Bigfoot.
- 1:07:58Is he not a mythical.
- 1:08:01He is a local fauna that
- 1:08:04we all know and love.
- 1:08:06But he's obviously had a misguided
- 1:08:08attempt.
- 1:08:11I don't want to step on some toes here
- 1:08:14and be like, it's not Bigfoot, actually.
- 1:08:16No. You know, it's funny because as
- 1:08:19you're doing this, I realized, oh, I know the perfect person that
- 1:08:22this would be. And then you said bigfoot. I went, oh,
- 1:08:25that's nowhere where I was thinking this is.
- 1:08:27Here's the thing. The, uh, luck and me spending it and everything, I
- 1:08:30mean, I can say what I say about this ability is
- 1:08:33that that, um, was really just me
- 1:08:36spending my resources to do the whole bit.
- 1:08:38But if it turns out that
- 1:08:42there's a second mask no, there's a
- 1:08:44mask. She's not a mask, but rather
- 1:08:47it's a real person.
- 1:08:49Okay? So I take the mask off and underneath there's a
- 1:08:51Sasquatch mask. And I'm like, nailed it. And
- 1:08:54then the Sasquatch mask, which has been completely
- 1:08:56disrupted from me pulling the mask that was on it
- 1:08:59off, falls off.
- 1:09:02And the reality is and, uh, Kenny.
- 1:09:04Uh, has no idea who it is.
- 1:09:06This was a win for him.
- 1:09:07You have actually no idea who it is?
- 1:09:09No, I don't.
- 1:09:10Um, it's the the chick from the
- 1:09:13city hall.
- 1:09:14It's the gym. No, it is someone
- 1:09:17you don't recognize.
- 1:09:18Actually, I don't recognize this person until.
- 1:09:21You so I'm completely you rip off the second mask. And
- 1:09:24it's a woman.
- 1:09:26And mind you, all the kids have stopped
- 1:09:29dancing. And they've been watching this fight, and they're all looking through the
- 1:09:32door with horror. And as you see this woman, like,
- 1:09:35bent over dead. She's not breathing anymore. You
- 1:09:38hear one of the kids yell, mom.
- 1:09:41And they go running over. And it is
- 1:09:44Tony McCook running over.
- 1:09:46And he looks over, and then beside you,
- 1:09:49DJ Rip PIPP rips off his mask. And he
- 1:09:52goes, Taylor. And he goes running down
- 1:09:55and he's Bill McCook. And
- 1:09:58these were the McCooks all along.
- 1:10:01They never left town. And I say they were just
- 1:10:04disguised this whole time.
- 1:10:06What's going on here? Why would you guys do this to
- 1:10:09your own kids?
- 1:10:10I didn't do this.
- 1:10:10I got bamboozled.
- 1:10:14Bill McCook turns around, goes, she
- 1:10:17brainwashed me. I don't know how she was doing
- 1:10:20it.
- 1:10:20And why the heck would she do it? Also, is she
- 1:10:23dead?
- 1:10:24I think so. We need a call. Where's the
- 1:10:27phone?
- 1:10:28Yeah. Ah. We need a, uh crap.
- 1:10:30Uh, guys, you're bleeding out. She's bleeding
- 1:10:32out. He's bleeding out. I'm
- 1:10:35bleeding. We got to go. We got to go, guys.
- 1:10:38Over the course of the next hour or so, and he's
- 1:10:41going to pick.
- 1:10:42Up his wife and start carrying out to his
- 1:10:45truck in the front. And then all the kids are like,
- 1:10:48with you guys? He goes running away and his kid
- 1:10:51goes with them. Um, you guys are all just left
- 1:10:54here bleeding out with these kids? What are you guys going to
- 1:10:57do here?
- 1:10:58I would like to lead them off a cliff.
- 1:10:59No, wait. What an
- 1:11:02ending.
- 1:11:03Uh, we put them in the bed of my truck and
- 1:11:05we drive to the police station.
- 1:11:07There's one thing we know.
- 1:11:08So we can get our money.
- 1:11:10North Dakota. Yeah, we'll do a clean wrap on
- 1:11:13this. You guys
- 1:11:16get these kids, you guide them to the truck. And good thing you
- 1:11:19have a truck bed, because all of them fit back there. Uh, some
- 1:11:22of them aren't the best. So you, uh, Dennis, help Sally
- 1:11:25out to the car. Who's really struggling right now. You mostly
- 1:11:28are carrying her out to the car, but you're not doing too well, too.
- 1:11:31But it's that dad strength coming through. You don't
- 1:11:34care about your own safety. You care about her right now. You guys
- 1:11:37get her out to the truck. You always hop in. You guys head down the police station.
- 1:11:40But first, you don't head to the police station. You head to the
- 1:11:43hospital. Because not only are you guys in bad shape, but these
- 1:11:46kids are in pretty poor shape, too. Go to the
- 1:11:48hospital. You tell them to
- 1:11:51tell the cops as you show up there, their parents will show up. They're
- 1:11:54all happy. Thank you. You guys get that $25,000
- 1:11:56that's promised. You also all get your pictures taken in the
- 1:11:59newspaper. And two, uh, days later, front page story. The three of
- 1:12:02you are the town heroes once again. Kid
- 1:12:05detectives redeemed his name. Finally,
- 1:12:08after, like, 15
- 1:12:10years,
- 1:12:14denny's Digs becomes a hit success
- 1:12:17in the town. Soon after, everyone wants to read the
- 1:12:20hero's story.
- 1:12:21There's, like, a front detector, front page.
- 1:12:23Feature of his version of accounts, like
- 1:12:26what he found with his metal detector.
- 1:12:29And it's all these really bad pictures. Uh,
- 1:12:32and it's like, one final picture of the broken metal detector
- 1:12:35that saved the hero of it all. I also
- 1:12:38like the idea that you.
- 1:12:39Get, like, a really nice one, and shortly after, you
- 1:12:41find something insane that was
- 1:12:44buried somewhere or something, like some really cool thing.
- 1:12:47Also follow up article about that. Also people
- 1:12:50a bigfoot artifact, your
- 1:12:52bigfoot stories. People will start believing them a lot
- 1:12:55more, uh, because of your newfound success.
- 1:12:58I hire a cameraman.
- 1:12:59As for body, I don't know how much of the limelight
- 1:13:03you were looking for, but you got your money, you
- 1:13:05smiled for the picture, and then you beat it out of town before
- 1:13:08they matched the plates to I didn't want.
- 1:13:11To announce that I won the lottery.
- 1:13:14Yeah, they make you anyways. Uh, as for
- 1:13:16the McCooks, um, well,
- 1:13:19Taylor McCook did pass away after it, and
- 1:13:22she was actually a real life
- 1:13:25harpy who made it through
- 1:13:28time. Uh, her name was
- 1:13:31Pessini.
- 1:13:33Pessini. And she came back. She
- 1:13:36was waiting until the perfect time
- 1:13:38to strike. She
- 1:13:41was slowly taking the souls of
- 1:13:44the kids through dance, is what she was
- 1:13:47doing. Uh, her husband had nothing to do with it. He was
- 1:13:50the first person she, uh siren
- 1:13:52songed took over mentally. And she
- 1:13:55got familiar. Correct. And she took him over to be
- 1:13:58DJ repip, who would be the face of the
- 1:14:01organization. Basically, the
- 1:14:03faceless face, though, because he had a mask. Um,
- 1:14:06other than that, though, you guys saved the day. You saved the
- 1:14:09sleepy town of Devil's Lake. And that
- 1:14:12is the end of Music
- 1:14:15Mayhem. Thank you for joining us today.
- 1:14:18That was a great adventure.
- 1:14:19Thanks for running it.
