- 1:04Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 120.
- 1:07Sean McAllister: Big Vegas style grand openings are back.
- 1:11Sean McAllister: And we were there as the newest Cirque du Soleil show premiered.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: I've been in New York, uh working full time as a comic since 2008.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: Um just moved out here two weeks ago for this show.
- 1:22SPEAKER_02: It's the first time they've ever had stand-up comedy in their show, so I'm incredibly honored to be part of that.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: Uh, I'm doing a little bit of magic in the show as well.
- 1:29Dayna Roselli: More on what makes Cirque's latest Las Vegas show different from all the others.
- 1:35Sean McAllister: And hear about our very intimate conversation with the two-time Grammy winner Anderson Pac from Silksonic.
- 1:43Dayna Roselli: And it's a Jersey Shore kind of summer in Vegas as Vinny G returns for another sexy stint with the Chippendales.
- 1:50Sean McAllister: It's getting to summer months.
- 1:51Sean McAllister: How do you pull Vinny away from the Jersey Shore for Vegas again?
- 1:54Sean McAllister: Well, it's our show.
- 1:55Sean McAllister: He loves doing it.
- 1:56Sean McAllister: Like he takes it really serious.
- 1:58Sean McAllister: Plus, a new steakhouse with a familiar name is coming to the strip.
- 2:03Sean McAllister: Let's get right to it.
- 2:05Sean McAllister: Spin that wheel.
- 2:14Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 120.
- 2:17Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister here along with Dana Roselli.
- 2:20Sean McAllister: And Dana, we are fresh off a big party last night.
- 2:24Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 2:25Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 2:25Dayna Roselli: We usually, you know, taped the podcast a little bit earlier in the week, but we're doing it on a Friday because we had a Thursday night party.
- 2:33Sean McAllister: We knew we had a big shindig.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: Oh wow, we figured, yeah, we gotta talk about it on the podcast, right?
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: Mad Apple had its grand opening over at New York, New York.
- 2:40Dayna Roselli: It's Cirque du Soleil's newest show.
- 2:43Dayna Roselli: And boy, there was food and drink and dancers and costumes and tons of people.
- 2:49Sean McAllister: And even the photo booth had pyrotechnics.
- 2:52Sean McAllister: It was crazy.
- 2:53Sean McAllister: It was one of those 360 photo booths where the camera spins around you.
- 2:57Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 2:57Sean McAllister: And there were like sparks flying off.
- 3:00Sean McAllister: It was nuts.
- 3:01Dayna Roselli: I know, and there were hot dogs.
- 3:02Sean McAllister: There were lots of hot dogs.
- 3:03Sean McAllister: People were stuffing their faces with hot dogs.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: They were.
- 3:06Sean McAllister: It was New York very very New York event.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: The hot pretzels.
- 3:10Dayna Roselli: They had those too, you know?
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: And the cheese and yeah, all sorts of stuff like that.
- 3:15Sean McAllister: I just had chicken on a stick.
- 3:16Sean McAllister: There was that too.
- 3:17Sean McAllister: And it was good.
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: It was very New York.
- 3:20Sean McAllister: I loved it.
- 3:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, it was the first time in a while, though, that Las Vegas celebrated the grand opening of an all-new Cirque du Soleil show.
- 3:29Sean McAllister: Of course, we have tons of Cirque shows in town.
- 3:31Sean McAllister: This one, brand new.
- 3:33Sean McAllister: It's called Mad Apple, and it's over at the New York New York Hotel Casino.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's totally different from any of the other Cirque shows you may have seen.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: And we're gonna be getting into all that in a minute.
- 3:43Dayna Roselli: There were a lot of Vegas celebrities there, some NHL players, uh, entertainers from the strip, and two-time Grammy Award-winning a singer, rapper, yeah.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: He's a drummer, showman, singer.
- 3:57Dayna Roselli: Anderson Pock.
- 3:58Dayna Roselli: He was there.
- 3:59Sean McAllister: He was.
- 3:59Sean McAllister: We saw Anderson walking by us at the party, and we were like, we had heard that he was supposed to be there, and we were like, really?
- 4:06Sean McAllister: Is Anderson Pak really gonna be at this party?
- 4:08Sean McAllister: I mean, he has that big show with Bruno Mars over at Park MGM.
- 4:12Sean McAllister: So when we saw him walk by, we were like, oh wow, like that's a big deal.
- 4:16Sean McAllister: Yeah to have Anderson Pock at this party.
- 4:19Sean McAllister: Then we went inside the Mad Apple Theater for the show, and he was standing right next to us as we were waiting for drinks at the bar.
- 4:27Sean McAllister: And, you know, when something like that happens, I can totally count on you, Dana, to just strike up a conversation.
- 4:35Dayna Roselli: Well, I always feel like, you know, sometimes people get ner listen, there are, you know, A-listers out there that totally understandably people get nervous to talk to or whatever, but I always feel like, listen, they're doing what they're doing for a reason, right?
- 4:48Dayna Roselli: And it's because they enjoy putting on a performance for people, going to events and running into people and hopefully getting recognized.
- 4:57Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 4:58Dayna Roselli: So I feel like, you know what?
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna go up to Anderson and say hello.
- 5:02Dayna Roselli: So I did, and he was so wonderful to chat with.
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: Really down to earth, right?
- 5:06Sean McAllister: So down to earth and excited to be at the event and to be here in Las Vegas.
- 5:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you and I were telling him that, you know, we had gone to Silksonic, we did a whole episode on it, and we explained, you know, what is Silksonic?
- 5:20Dayna Roselli: Because people were confused, they're like, well, it's Bruno Mars, but he's with this Anderson Pac, and like, why is it different than just Bruno Mars?
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: And anyway, we have an old whole episode on that if you want to listen to it.
- 5:30Dayna Roselli: Go back about I think like eight episodes.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: But uh we were telling him, we went, we didn't know what to expect either, and how much we loved it, and we walked away just saying, Man, this was a Vegas show, and he was very appreciative to hear that and thankful.
- 5:46Sean McAllister: He was, and he was saying, Hey, you know what?
- 5:47Sean McAllister: Well, we have more shows coming up in August, so stick around for that.
- 5:53Sean McAllister: And you know, when he said that, I was like, Well, Anderson, you keep adding shows here.
- 5:58Sean McAllister: Um, the next evolution is just to straight up move here, right?
- 6:03Sean McAllister: And he was like, Yeah, and who knows, maybe if I do, I'll get my own show over at the Tropicana.
- 6:08Sean McAllister: That's what he said.
- 6:08Sean McAllister: He's like, I'll leave Bruno behind.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: It was so funny, right?
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: You can clearly tell he enjoys it.
- 6:14Dayna Roselli: Because even when I said our more, you know, are you doing more silksonic shows?
- 6:18Dayna Roselli: And he's like, You bet we are, kind of acts like he's having the time of his life.
- 6:21Dayna Roselli: And that's what we love to hear about anyone that's you know new to a regular residency in Vegas.
- 6:26Sean McAllister: Yeah, well, and that's what you were curious about, too.
- 6:29Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 6:29Sean McAllister: Is you know, coming in and oh yeah, you know, from somebody who who didn't have a residency before.
- 6:37Sean McAllister: Like, what is it like coming in and being a resident headliner and having such a big show?
- 6:43Dayna Roselli: Well, and then I just giggled because I remembered what he said to me.
- 6:46Dayna Roselli: Remember, I said that, and then he was like, it's great, I don't have to go to Albuquerque.
- 6:51Sean McAllister: Sorry, Albuquerque.
- 6:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, what a guy.
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: And he was, I remember when we all left the show, we were saying, like, wait, is he comedian or but like he's he's just got everything going on for him, and it was so much fun to see them win Grammys at the Grammy Awards this year and perform, and so we love it.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: Uh great to see Anderson at the Mad Apple opening.
- 7:14Sean McAllister: And again, you can see uh Anderson and Bruno Mars together in Silksonic over at uh the Dolby Live Theater at Park MGM.
- 7:23Sean McAllister: They have more shows coming up later this summer in August.
- 7:27Dayna Roselli: And now back to Mad Apple.
- 7:28Dayna Roselli: As we mentioned, this is a new kind of show under the Cirque de Soleil umbrella.
- 7:33Dayna Roselli: And we spoke with Daniel Lamar, who is the CEO of Cirque, and he told us about this new direction.
- 7:40Sean McAllister: How did you uh put your creative minds together to come up with this concept that has such a mix that we've never seen on stage from Cirque?
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: You know what's important for us is to always bring new creators that bring us to different destinations.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: So here by bringing Neil and Simon Painter, that was our entry to the comedy world.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: So it's a fun show, and uh so far we have a great feeling that it's bringing Cirque to a different location, and we're very happy about that.
- 8:11Dayna Roselli: And I was gonna say, I love that it actually fits the hotel that it's in, right?
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: Totally, totally.
- 8:16Dayna Roselli: I mean, because sometimes you have you know shows that don't necessarily have a theme or its own theme, but for this to be in New York, New York, I feel like it's gonna really be a destination spot for people.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: Totally.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: And uh I think people will discover a a new side of Cirque du Soleil, which is a cabaret show where you're it's going to be intimate and also it's a place to party.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: So I guess people should stay around after the show and just party and enjoy themselves.
- 8:41Sean McAllister: Well, that sounds very vague.
- 8:42Sean McAllister: And is Mad Apple, is this whole concept kind of a glimpse into the future of the sh type of shows that that Circ is going to be developing?
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: For me, it's a new category of show.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: It's the cabaret show.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: And we we think there is a huge potential for us to develop around the world with that type of show.
- 9:01Sean McAllister: It's nice to get some insight from the people who are like at the top of these organizations, right?
- 9:07Sean McAllister: And he's a big deal, you know, CEO.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: He's a huge deal, yeah.
- 9:10Sean McAllister: And we also chatted up some of the performers in the show, including Harrison Greenbaum, who's a stand-up comedian, and listen to what he says about bringing an all-new element of entertainment to a Cirque Show.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: I've been in New York, uh, working full-time as a comic since 2008.
- 9:29SPEAKER_02: Um, just moved out here two weeks ago for the show.
- 9:32SPEAKER_02: So yeah, I'm trying to bring that New York style.
- 9:34SPEAKER_02: It's fast, it's in your face, uh, it incorporates the crowd quite a bit.
- 9:38SPEAKER_02: Uh that there's like a New York rhythm.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: Um I, you know, my home club is in the comedy seller, and we're all it's all about like getting in there and just giving as much comedy as you can.
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: I can see you in like a few episodes of Sex in the City.
- 9:49Dayna Roselli: Doesn't it seem like you'd be in the good?
- 9:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: Very New York, very New York.
- 9:53Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: What do you look forward to over the first couple years in New York?
- 9:56SPEAKER_02: It was just and the city.
- 9:57Dayna Roselli: And the city.
- 9:59Dayna Roselli: Oh my god, that's so much a joke.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: Be the comedian in the show.
- 10:04Sean McAllister: You're hired, you're hired.
- 10:06Sean McAllister: So listen, Roselli here has an entire stand-up act that she has never tried out in front of a crowd.
- 10:14Sean McAllister: What are your tips to getting up and performing material for the very first time?
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, uh, don't do it.
- 10:20SPEAKER_02: Um, no, uh, it's like jumping out of a plane, honestly.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: So, like the hardest part is that first second when you jump out.
- 10:25SPEAKER_02: I've never jumped out of a plane.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: These are all assumptions.
- 10:27SPEAKER_02: But uh it's it's like jumping out of a plane.
- 10:30SPEAKER_02: Like you, you just gotta do it, you just gotta put yourself out there.
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: It can be really hard at first.
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: Um, but the reason the highs are so high are because the lows can be so low, especially in the beginning.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: And it's there's nothing like it.
- 10:41SPEAKER_02: I mean, uh, comedy is a sense is a drug, and I'm addicted to doing it.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love it.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:46Dayna Roselli: Last question what do you look forward to doing in Las Vegas on your off time?
- 10:49Dayna Roselli: Anything you've been like eyeing?
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: Oh man, uh, we've been so hard at work at this show, so sleeping would be great.
- 10:55SPEAKER_02: Um, no, I love Las Vegas.
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: Um, there are so many great comedians and magicians that I'm looking forward to hanging out with in this town.
- 11:03SPEAKER_02: Um, I love escape rooms and there's some really good ones.
- 11:06SPEAKER_02: So I'm excited about that.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: Uh and uh yeah, I'm just excited to explore this town to have a pool, maybe.
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: That would be very exciting.
- 11:12SPEAKER_02: I've been living in a tiny apartment uh with my fiance the entire time, 500 square feet.
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: So the idea that we're gonna have more than one room is spectacular.
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: Do you know what we're gonna do?
- 11:23SPEAKER_02: We're gonna have one room just for stuff.
- 11:24SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be mind-blowing.
- 11:26Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 11:26Dayna Roselli: Enjoy it and welcome to Vegas.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: We look forward to seeing you.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: We will.
- 11:30Dayna Roselli: We will take care.
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: Harrison was funny in the show, got a great response.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: He did, he did, he was funny.
- 11:37Dayna Roselli: Everyone was laughing.
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and Matt Apple also has a freestyle rapper as part of the cast.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: His name is Chris Turner, and he takes requests from the audience.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: Like he asks for people to shout out words and he makes it into a rap.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: It's really cool.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: Well, he gave us a little bit of a taste of his skills on the red carpet.
- 11:56Sean McAllister: You take requests from the audience, but do you take requests on the on the red carpet here?
- 12:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, give me three.
- 12:02Sean McAllister: In the show, we do like seven words, but give me three because we've only got you know, uh podcast, banana, beer.
- 12:09SPEAKER_04: Okay, podcast and banana beer.
- 12:11SPEAKER_04: That's uh that's cool, okay.
- 12:13SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 12:14SPEAKER_04: Just gonna wait.
- 12:15SPEAKER_04: Three words, that's the trio, banana and beer.
- 12:17SPEAKER_04: But starting up, the noise that you get through your ears with the airpods.
- 12:20SPEAKER_04: Got the guys with the bear pods.
- 12:21SPEAKER_04: If you didn't see before, the chip andels are hot, they're on the carpet.
- 12:24SPEAKER_04: I start it, make it hazy like an IPA crazy.
- 12:27SPEAKER_04: Getting so drunk and I'm feeling no fear.
- 12:29SPEAKER_04: Dutch courage when I'm knocking back the beer and the last thing.
- 12:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you know I'm a charmer.
- 12:33SPEAKER_04: Come from the aisle where we don't get bananas.
- 12:35SPEAKER_04: Gotta ship them in much faster from Honduras or Madagascar.
- 12:38SPEAKER_04: If you want to get a nice little banana feel, pull it right back.
- 12:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I give it a peel, give it a feel.
- 12:43SPEAKER_04: Say what I do.
- 12:44SPEAKER_04: I don't eat bananas if they have the bruise.
- 12:46SPEAKER_04: You know, like the little like bits inside that like, yeah, I don't eat when they got the bruise.
- 12:49SPEAKER_04: And that is a callback to beer, which is brewed.
- 12:51SPEAKER_04: So there you go.
- 12:52Dayna Roselli: Love it! Amazing.
- 12:54Sean McAllister: Vegas revealed exclusive right there.
- 12:56Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 12:57Sean McAllister: I'm impressed whenever anybody can do stuff like that, Dana, because I I'm gonna admit it, my brain does not work that fast.
- 13:05Sean McAllister: No.
- 13:05Sean McAllister: And that's hard because you gotta rhyme it.
- 13:07Sean McAllister: You do, right?
- 13:08Dayna Roselli: And it reminds me of you and I recently went to a uh charity golf event, and they had hired a rapper at one of the holes who would basically look at some notes about the next golfer that was gonna come up and do this random rap, and we were so impressed by that.
- 13:23Sean McAllister: I mean, that was so cool.
- 13:24Sean McAllister: And he would like make observations about their swing, how far their shot went, that kind of stuff, and incorporate it.
- 13:30Sean McAllister: But yeah, uh, Chris Turner, he does the same kind of thing.
- 13:34Sean McAllister: And my god, I'm lucky if I'm introduced to somebody and two seconds later I still remember their name.
- 13:40Sean McAllister: Oh my god, I'm a terrible with names.
- 13:42Sean McAllister: I know.
- 13:43Sean McAllister: And to remember, like in the show, Chris has a string of like seven different words, suggestions, phrases, topics that he has to remember and then come up with this whole wrap around.
- 13:55Sean McAllister: It's an impressive skill.
- 13:57Dayna Roselli: It is impressive.
- 13:58Dayna Roselli: We loved the show after we said, you know what, it was kind of for us, it was our thing.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: We loved the dancers, the costumes, the high energy, the fun, the live music, the comedians, the rapper.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: I mean, there was a lot, you know, and then the super talented acts that were in between.
- 14:16Dayna Roselli: I mean, for me, I thought it was really entertaining.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: I was very impressed, and a show that I would return to.
- 14:22Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 14:23Sean McAllister: And and the theater is very intimate, so the acts are pretty up close.
- 14:28Sean McAllister: Um, if you go to Mad Apple over at New York, New York, make sure you get there early because there is an entire pre-show vibe.
- 14:37Sean McAllister: The stage turns into the front of the stage, it turns into a bar.
- 14:41Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 14:42Sean McAllister: So there's people down there mingling.
- 14:44Sean McAllister: There's two bars on either side of the stage, actually on stage, so you can go up there, which is what we did.
- 14:51Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 14:51Sean McAllister: And got drinks up on stage.
- 14:54Sean McAllister: So it's cool to you know look out into the theater and see what the performers see.
- 14:59Sean McAllister: And really cool that they allow you to do that.
- 15:02Dayna Roselli: I know, it was.
- 15:02Dayna Roselli: And they had great popcorn too.
- 15:04Sean McAllister: Oh, did they?
- 15:05Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: I went I went for a quick restroom stop, and on the way back I got some popcorn, and it was delicious.
- 15:12Sean McAllister: Good theater popcorn is always a plus.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: Mad Apple is now open at New York, New York on the Las Vegas strip.
- 15:21Sean McAllister: All right.
- 15:22Sean McAllister: Well, summer in Las Vegas is always hot, but it's about to get a little hotter.
- 15:28Sean McAllister: Because Vinny G from Jersey Shore is back in town on stage with the Chippendales.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: He kicks off this weekend, Memorial Day weekend, and goes through July 3rd.
- 15:40Dayna Roselli: So you got plenty of times to see him.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: He's listen, I uh we did a whole podcast on that too.
- 15:45Dayna Roselli: I went to that show, it was the 20th anniversary.
- 15:48Dayna Roselli: He's looking better than ever.
- 15:49Sean McAllister: He does that whole shower scene.
- 15:50Dayna Roselli: He does the whole shower scene.
- 15:52Sean McAllister: Shuts hanging out.
- 15:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, all sorts of things.
- 15:54Sean McAllister: Along with other stuff.
- 15:55Sean McAllister: Other stuff.
- 15:56Dayna Roselli: But they do it in such a way that it's uh fun to see the reveal.
- 16:02Sean McAllister: It's in, you know, uh silhouette in shadow.
- 16:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, in in tasteful fashion, but you get enough, okay?
- 16:10Dayna Roselli: Vinny's in the show.
- 16:11Dayna Roselli: Uh, he gets such a great response that they love to bring him back.
- 16:14Dayna Roselli: So he is back in town leaving the Jersey shore and heading to Vegas for a little over a month.
- 16:20Dayna Roselli: If you want to go see Vinny in Chippendales, we saw the Chippendales on the red carpet of Mad Apple, and that's why we bring this up.
- 16:26Dayna Roselli: They too were saying they're excited to have Vinny back in the show.
- 16:30Dayna Roselli: But something I wanted to know, Sean, and you too, we both kind of said this, like, because I feel like the last show that I went to, which was kind of like post-pandemic-ish, like the crowd seemed a little crazier.
- 16:42Dayna Roselli: So we asked the Chippendales, is that true?
- 16:45Dayna Roselli: Is everyone a little bit more wild these days?
- 16:48SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: And we're saying that, yeah.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: That's an uncle.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think so.
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: I think I believe so.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: People was missing something, and now they they get it back and uh Chip on this year for them.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: Like for sure.
- 16:59Dayna Roselli: Just seems a little crazier.
- 17:00Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 17:01Dayna Roselli: That was my take on my last visit.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it is.
- 17:03Sean McAllister: Uh COVID did something to everyone, and yeah, it's a good thing.
- 17:06Sean McAllister: We love it.
- 17:07Sean McAllister: The energy's great.
- 17:08Sean McAllister: So that did not surprise me at all.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: No.
- 17:11Sean McAllister: That the audience is just a little bit crazier than it was before.
- 17:14Sean McAllister: And before it was already crazy.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 17:17Sean McAllister: So you know, I can only imagine what those guys see when they're uh putting on the show when they look out in that audience.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: True.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: And sometimes they do back-to-back shows, so it's a lot.
- 17:28Sean McAllister: Did it uh it's a lot of energy.
- 17:30Sean McAllister: That's a ton of energy.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: Oh my goodness.
- 17:33Dayna Roselli: All right, well, why don't we get to some tips?
- 17:38Sean McAllister: And Dana, our first tip, um, this is something that you are really interested in.
- 17:44Sean McAllister: One of our casinos on the strip is getting a name change, but there's kind of a tasty addition coming along with it.
- 17:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I noticed this came in our inbox, and I thought, oh, first of all, I was happy to uh always spread the news that someone's hiring.
- 17:57Dayna Roselli: So they are hiring at the brand new steakhouse uh that is gonna be at Bally's, which is transforming, and we've talked to you about this before, it's transforming into the horseshoe Las Vegas.
- 18:10Dayna Roselli: And now Jack Binion Steak is set to open there at the resort next month, uh, just in time for the World Series of Poker.
- 18:19Sean McAllister: Because of course Binion's has a long history with the World Series of Poker.
- 18:24Sean McAllister: That was the original location.
- 18:25Sean McAllister: So now that Bally's is turning into the horseshoe, which is a you know binion property, right?
- 18:33Sean McAllister: Um it makes sense to have the World Series of Poker there and some good stakes to go along with it.
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so the Steakhouse named after Jack Binion, who is the former president and COO of Horseshoe Casino and son of the original horseshoe club owner, Benny Binion.
- 18:48Dayna Roselli: Um it ties into the rich history of the horseshoe.
- 18:51Dayna Roselli: I I just know it's gonna be great.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: Uh Jack Binions is hiring for all positions right now.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: You can go to Caesars.com backslash careers if you're interested in working there.
- 19:01Dayna Roselli: But boy, that will be great over there.
- 19:04Dayna Roselli: I'm so glad to hear there'll be a Binion Steakhouse.
- 19:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, that will be good.
- 19:07Sean McAllister: I love a good steakhouse.
- 19:09Sean McAllister: Me too.
- 19:10Sean McAllister: Alright, so uh maybe you're out on the strip and you're walking around and just looking for a a cocktail where you don't have to, you know, elbow your way up to the bar, which is something that happens really anytime you go into a casino, right?
- 19:26Sean McAllister: Right.
- 19:27Sean McAllister: Well, we have a bar for you where uh you'll be able to step up to the bar and really kinda have an entire experience to yourself.
- 19:40Sean McAllister: Now, it's a hidden gem as of us telling you about it.
- 19:45Sean McAllister: Um once word gets out, I have a feeling it's gonna be really hopping.
- 19:49Dayna Roselli: Well, and we've kind of mentioned it before, because we talked about our experience at Fly Over Las Vegas and that there is a bar inside, and you know, the adults can do that while the kid, you know, fam then you can the families as a whole with the kids and everything can go on the ride.
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: But in our recent visit, we were there doing some work over there, uh, you were chatting with folks that work there who were saying people love to dip in here because it's A, easy, B kind of away from the hubbub in the crowd for a minute, and the cocktails are great.
- 20:20Sean McAllister: They have an incredible cocktail menu.
- 20:23Sean McAllister: And uh they told me what what has been happening is people will come in one day to actually ride the ride, do the flyover Las Vegas attraction.
- 20:33Sean McAllister: But then once they get in there, see the bar, have a couple cocktails, they're like, wait a second, why are we not just coming back to this bar?
- 20:41Sean McAllister: Right, and so they come back every day for the rest of their trip to just hang out at the bar.
- 20:47Sean McAllister: Right.
- 20:48Sean McAllister: And it is a it's a great space in there.
- 20:51Sean McAllister: The bar is beautiful, the bartenders are great.
- 20:54Sean McAllister: Um, it is they have an entrance right off of the strip, right by if you are familiar where like Eminem World is, there's an entrance that says flyover, they have a big sign right there.
- 21:06Sean McAllister: Um, you walk through this hallway, it's nice and air conditioned, it's got really cool lighting, so it's a cool vibe.
- 21:14Sean McAllister: And then you get into the big open area where they have the bar, and it's great.
- 21:20Dayna Roselli: It is great.
- 21:21Dayna Roselli: And we were looking just recently at their Instagram page where they show all the different kinds of cocktails that they make.
- 21:28Dayna Roselli: So uh huge variety.
- 21:30Dayna Roselli: Check it out.
- 21:30Dayna Roselli: It's fly over Las Vegas on Instagram, and you can see uh some of their smoking cocktails.
- 21:37Dayna Roselli: They got all sorts of kinds.
- 21:38Dayna Roselli: You wouldn't think it, and I think that's why we decided to talk about it as a tip because it wouldn't cross your mind.
- 21:43Sean McAllister: Right, you know to think to go there just for the bar experience.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:48Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: So fly over Las Vegas, uh, right near the Hard Rock Cafe on the strip as well.
- 21:54Dayna Roselli: A semi-new attraction, but uh head there for the experience and the flyover of Iceland and the Wild Wild West.
- 22:01Sean McAllister: Stay for the drinks.
- 22:01Dayna Roselli: And stay for the drinks.
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's our second tip.

- 22:51Dayna Roselli: I've never been so excited to see a movie, and it delivered.
- 22:54Dayna Roselli: It delivered.
- 22:54Dayna Roselli: And we got we got commemorative pins, and I wore my t-shirt, and we had food, and the crowd was cheering from the beginning to the end.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: It was everything.
- 23:03Sean McAllister: It really was.
- 23:04Sean McAllister: It was it builds on all that nostalgia and addresses everything that you would want to be in that movie is in that movie.
- 23:14Sean McAllister: And uh Tom Cruise looks great.
- 23:18Sean McAllister: He I mean, Maverick is just Maverick is back.
- 23:22Dayna Roselli: He just picked up right where he left off, right?
- 23:24Dayna Roselli: It was like 30 years in a blink of an eye.
- 23:27Dayna Roselli: So we don't wanna give any spoilers out because we know people are still uh just getting to the theater to watch it.
- 23:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, for the holiday weekend.
- 23:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:35Dayna Roselli: Get to the theater and watch it.

- 23:38Dayna Roselli: You can do that, watch it again at home, but go to a theater, you gotta do it.
- 23:41Dayna Roselli: No CGI, all the flying is is done.
- 23:44Sean McAllister: Do I it's worth it to do IMAX, XD, whatever like the the premium viewing experience is near you.
