Transcript
- 0:00So Doge Staffer, ex-Doge Staffer, got pummeled and bloodied,
- 0:05and he lived up to his name.
- 0:07We're going to take a look at this. This is from the New York Post.
- 0:10It's ex-Doge Staffer, nicknamed Big Balls, left bloodied after savage D.C.
- 0:16Carjacking attempted by 10 juveniles.
- 0:18He's a 19-year-old former Department of Government Efficiency Doge Staffer was
- 0:23beaten and bloodied by a mob of 10 minors early Sunday as he thwarted a carjacking
- 0:28attempted in the nation's Capitol.
- 0:29According to D.C. police, Edward Corsistein, whose LinkedIn handle earned him
- 0:35the nickname Big Balls at Doge, was with a woman near downtown D.C.
- 0:39When he saw the group of juveniles approach their car and make a comment about
- 0:43taking the vehicle, according to
- 0:45a Metropolitan Police Department incident reported obtained by the Post.
- 0:49At that point, for her safety, Corsistein pushed his significant other into
- 0:53the vehicle and turned to deal with the suspects.
- 0:57The dramatic report continues.
- 0:59The suspects then began to assault Korsistein, the ex-Doge staffer.
- 1:05Told officers, who rolled up on the scene at the same time he was being attacked.
- 1:09So this is the picture of him right there, and you can see he got just destroyed
- 1:13and bloodied bad, but he lived up to his name.
- 1:17I'd heard about this guy when he was in Doge, where we didn't know who it was.
- 1:22It was just somebody behind the scenes.
- 1:23For the longest time, I thought they were referring to either Elon Musk or Donald
- 1:27Trump. I didn't know it was a specific person in the doge kind of crew.
- 1:33And, and so he is in there making cuts and all that, but I don't,
- 1:36this is not stem from anything with regarding to that. He, it was just a rant. He was out in the.
- 1:42Out in the city of DC, which is not a safe place. And a lot of things are going
- 1:46to be happening because of this event, bringing some, maybe some lockdown and
- 1:50maybe some safety to that area. Cause it's our nation's capital that this could happen. It's insane.
- 1:55So I don't know what you think about it, but just this, this event,
- 1:59it's just kind of almost emblematic of the time that we are in that it could happen to anyone.
- 2:04And your courage could be, it could be either proven or disproven in a moment.
- 2:10You don't know when any event's going to happen and you don't really know what
- 2:13your reaction is going to be when any said event happens.
- 2:17It's just like in a moment, you can talk big and act big, but in a moment's
- 2:22notice, you can be either, am I going to run into that burning building to save people or not?
- 2:27Am I going to put my life on the line without thanking? Is my natural reaction
- 2:31going to be other people's safety, protecting others, as opposed to my own well-being.
- 2:37And I think what this guy did was just, it just demonstrated that even though
- 2:42he might not look like the hugest guy, he's definitely not.
- 2:45He might, and he might not look like he brings a lot to the table,
- 2:48but it's like, there's a lot of courage inside of him to just step out and do that.
- 2:52So I think I applaud him for this.
- 2:55It just shows that you never know what's around the corner.
- 2:58You never know what day you're walking into right now. So it's like always being
- 3:02prepared. And I applaud him for his courage in standing up and protecting the
- 3:07young woman and even going against 10 other guys, you know.
- 3:12So it's a very interesting story. I hope he has a good recovery.
- 3:17And I hope this goes to change what's going to happen in the future for D.C.
- 3:23And bringing it, making it a safer place to be. It's our nation's capital. My goodness.
- 3:28All right. We'll leave it at that. Follow me on X and Instagram at Brandon Fogle.
- 3:32All right. Have a great day. Peace, everyone.
