- 0:00Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Three O Take, where we talk
- 0:04all things Major League Baseball.
- 0:06Here's Kyle Corwin and Nate Reyes.
- 0:10It all starts. Right now.
- 0:16Welcome back to the three O take presented by a Sea Kick.
- 0:17This is episode four 152. I'll be your host Kyle Cordon.
- 0:22I'm here with my Co host Nate Reyes.
- 0:29Nate. 452 It's the number of runs the Red Sox gave up today.
- 0:38I'm not here to talk about that. Any other you want to try again?
- 0:43Can we try again? Any anything else you'd like to
- 0:45open with? Exactly exactly how I wanted to
- 0:47start. Any thoughts you want to share
- 0:50with the folks? Anything exciting to happen in
- 0:53your day? Anything but what you just said.
- 0:57Just. Bombs being hit all over the
- 1:00place and. Hey, that's baseball in Denver.
- 1:04That's baseball. I mean, look, if there's a place
- 1:06where there's just going to be nuke after nuke kid, it's it's
- 1:09Denver. So I'm not upset about it.
- 1:12There was actually some some pretty exciting news coming out
- 1:16of Boston today that really had me thinking that this game
- 1:21didn't even matter had frankly couldn't care less about the
- 1:24loss. As I told you off air, so your
- 1:27words, they don't hurt me today. They don't hurt me.
- 1:30No, honestly, they, I believe it was Brenton Doyle had a, a Grand
- 1:35Slam today. And then they loaded the bases
- 1:37again and this, they had like 18 runs at this point.
- 1:40I think I was hoping that they hit another Grand Slam because I
- 1:43was just trying to see how many runs they could actually give up
- 1:46because at that point, it's, it's, it's a, it's a, a feat.
- 1:50An L as an L. How many, how many wins was that
- 1:54for the Rockies today? How many?
- 1:56How many wins was that worth? I get that, I get that, but some
- 2:00sometimes losses are a little heavier than others.
- 2:06Look, all I'm saying is you don't need to come out of the
- 2:08gate swinging like that. There's there's no need, OK?
- 2:11Hey, I just felt like, you know, maybe we should get it out
- 2:14there, you know, maybe it's a little bit of a build up for
- 2:19this weekend. Little bit of a build up.
- 2:23Speaking of which, now that I remembered on the actual right
- 2:28side of a match up happening instead of remembering after the
- 2:33fact, maybe a little friendly wager, right?
- 2:38There's been some clamoring for maybe a little bit of a another
- 2:41friendly wager people. The people are saying we're due.
- 2:44It's been a minute since we wrapped up the the Oakland A's.
- 2:49I could be less. Confident in my team, but.
- 2:52Well, I mean, we just gave up twenty runs a day and we went
- 2:55one in five on the road trip, so I don't know how confident I'm
- 2:57feeling about it. What?
- 2:59Do you think? Just just think on it.
- 3:00Just think on it. We'll we'll get to it.
- 3:02We'll get to it. No, but the good news that I'm
- 3:06talking about, that I was hoping you would have been a little bit
- 3:10more excited for me for was the news of Alex Cora, the Boston
- 3:16Red Sox manager extended for three years at a clip of 21 3/4
- 3:30million. Dollars.
- 3:33Yeah. What's that about?
- 3:34I don't know what why. That's very arbitrary add on.
- 3:40Just round that up a little bit for for your world champion
- 3:46manager that's stuck. Through Hey, look, hey, the fact
- 3:50the fact is, is he's back. That's what that's what matters.
- 3:52That's what's important. No, but when I got this, when I
- 3:56got the news, when I got the update today, I like there, I'll
- 4:00say this. There are a few things baseball
- 4:04wise, update wise that were I've stopped what I was doing and sat
- 4:09there and and I'll admit, maybe even like shed a little bit of a
- 4:14tear of of happiness, tear joy. When I saw that I was like,
- 4:17there's no way this is true. This was supposed to be Alex
- 4:20Coors last year. He is in the final year of his
- 4:23contract was making it very clear that he had no interest in
- 4:28discussing extension during the season.
- 4:32And I just thought with the way the last few years have gone
- 4:35that he had just been fed up with the way that the front
- 4:37office was handling their business in terms of the on
- 4:40field product and what they're putting out there.
- 4:43But I, I don't know who came to him.
- 4:46I don't know if this was Craig Breslow coming to him and being
- 4:48like, hey, the Pat, what's happened in the past has
- 4:53happened. I, there's nothing to do to
- 4:54change that. But I can assure you that I'm
- 4:58going to fulfill XYZ on your wish list in order to keep you
- 5:02here as our manager. I don't know if it was Craig
- 5:05Breslow. I don't know if it was somebody
- 5:06else. I don't know if it was Alex
- 5:07Korra coming to his own realization that maybe it is
- 5:10worth sticking around for, for this young core and up and
- 5:16coming prospects that we've got in the hopper that are just
- 5:20waiting to contribute. I don't know what it was, but
- 5:23all I know is that I am happy to have Alex Korra still in Boston.
- 5:29Do you think this year's overachieving or ahead of
- 5:33schedule? Whatever lingo you want to use
- 5:36towards it, they're playing good ball.
- 5:38I'm not going to, I'm not going to argue that.
- 5:40Do you think that factored into changing his mind?
- 5:44I've, I've actually thought about that a lot as the season's
- 5:47gone on. I'm like, OK, they're playing,
- 5:50they're playing above their means right now.
- 5:52I think they're playing well and they're not showing any signs of
- 5:55I mean, minus the 20 run performance today, not showing
- 6:01any signs of letting up. Like this is a team that we that
- 6:04we need to make additions to at the deadline.
- 6:06This is a team we need to bet on like to to to count on doing
- 6:12something come the home stretch of the season.
- 6:18But I don't I I'd like to think that Alex Kora is more level
- 6:22headed than to let a handful of months of.
- 6:28Yeah. Determine his his immediate
- 6:31future for the next couple years.
- 6:34Well, yeah. I mean, in reality, did did you
- 6:41guys have let's like, let's just say that the alternate happened.
- 6:44Let's saying it it was a bad year, was the year that everyone
- 6:47expected and you're a dozen games out of first place and
- 6:53you're starting to sell off pieces.
- 6:55Are there pieces that would have been sold?
- 6:59And if those pieces got sold, does that like factor into the
- 7:03decision? You know what I mean?
- 7:05Does that mean that like if a if a Rafi Devers, which not saying
- 7:09he would, but like a Devers or Duran or any of these pieces, if
- 7:14they got moved, would Corbin like screw this man?
- 7:17Like I'm not sticking around for an entire rebuild.
- 7:23Well, I mean, I think I, like I just said I based on the way
- 7:28they've been playing and they've been playing well, they've been
- 7:30playing above what people expected them at a level that at
- 7:35a level above what people expected them to be playing at.
- 7:40And I know that I that I said that and I said that I don't
- 7:42think that Cora is going to let that determine his future.
- 7:46On the flip side, though, I think if they came out and just
- 7:50played flat, they played like bottom of the division level
- 7:54baseball. I do think that that influences
- 7:59his decision where he's like, I'm already on the fence about
- 8:02this and we're playing about as bad of baseball as you can play.
- 8:09This is no different than the last two seasons in which we
- 8:12finished last place. I'm out.
- 8:16So while I like I said, I don't think that he he let the the
- 8:21impressive start to the year impact anything.
- 8:24I think if things have gone S quick the way that people were
- 8:28expecting them to, I think he looks at that and goes, I'm
- 8:31going to I'm because I credit to him.
- 8:33I think he's a he's a smart baseball man.
- 8:36I think he's AI mean, he's loyal.
- 8:38We know this, but I think he would have, he would have at the
- 8:42very least finished out his contract.
- 8:43And like, I'll give you what I'm what I signed up to do, but I'm
- 8:46not signing on for anything beyond this year because you're
- 8:49giving me talking to the front office.
- 8:51So you're giving me no reason to to stick around.
- 8:57Yeah, I get it. I would.
- 8:59I would be excited too. It's just like when you think
- 9:02about it, how does it, how does it, how can you guarantee it
- 9:10gets better if you move in a different direction, as in the
- 9:13Red Sox moving on to a different manager?
- 9:16But what you're saying is that that hasn't been what's holding
- 9:20this up. It's more so that it seems like
- 9:22Cora was the one that was reluctant to stay.
- 9:25Yeah. I don't.
- 9:25I don't based on a lack of like a like a the lack of pulse or a
- 9:31lack of advancement. Obviously I'm not having
- 9:35conversations with the people in the front office, but my my
- 9:37guess would be that it's not that they wanted to move on from
- 9:42Quora. I think it was just them real
- 9:45realizing like, think of it this way, like you're a kid, you walk
- 9:51into a into a toy store. There's a thing up there that
- 9:54you know that you really want, but you can't really afford it.
- 9:57And you know that there's really not any reason to even consider
- 10:01trying to convince your parents to get it for you because you
- 10:05know that it's just, it just doesn't make sense.
- 10:07It's out of reach, whether financially or whatever reason.
- 10:12It just doesn't even make sense. So you kind of settle for what
- 10:15whatever is next in line on your wish list.
- 10:17That's kind of the way that I think that the front office was
- 10:20using it viewing this Alex Core thing.
- 10:21Not that they wanted to move on, but they realize we really
- 10:26screwed this up. We, we have, we have dropped
- 10:30sound bites that have really shot ourselves in the foot
- 10:33talking about going full throttle.
- 10:34We didn't go full throttle. We're not really given much of
- 10:39AA reason to believe anything is going to change in the near
- 10:42future. So he's already he's already got
- 10:44a foot out the door I think at least mentally where there's no
- 10:48sense in US even trying to convince him to stay.
- 10:50So it to me it was really Alex Coors decision on whether or not
- 10:54he wanted to come back. And I, if I had to guess, they
- 10:57are probably sitting back waiting, hoping like maybe we
- 11:01catch him on a good day and maybe things just that maybe the
- 11:04chips fall the right way and maybe he he gets convinced to
- 11:08come back. I don't know.
- 11:09But I think, I think the decision fell solely in the
- 11:15core's hands. What kind of money was he making
- 11:17before? I think I read somewhere today
- 11:22that he the most he had made in a year was like 2 mil and he
- 11:27this contract is for three-year 21, as I mentioned, 21, seven,
- 11:32yeah, 21 .75 mil, which for those for those keeping track at
- 11:42home will make him the second highest paid manager in the game
- 11:47behind only Craig Counsel, who I believe what was that contract?
- 11:50Was that five years? Four years?
- 11:52I. Don't remember.
- 11:58Yeah. But all either way, a huge, a
- 12:01huge raise for Cora. So I mean, certainly that helps.
- 12:05But I, I, my guess is that this indicates that things are, are,
- 12:13are going to happen. Things are imminent.
- 12:15And whether that's the deadline, the trade deadline of this year,
- 12:19whether that's this upcoming offseason or even the way the
- 12:25team is run or approached in terms of personnel next season.
- 12:30I think the next calendar year from pretty much from this day
- 12:35forward, you look at a full calendar year, I think a lot of
- 12:37things are going to change from how they were handled this past
- 12:41offseason and beyond. Yeah.
- 12:44At least that's the hope. Well good for you guy, you got a
- 12:49manager that isn't a complete idiot.
- 12:53Must be nice. It is nice.
- 12:56Yeah. Yeah.
- 12:59How's it, How's it feel to have Aaron Boone at the helm every
- 13:04like, night in and night out? That's got to get kind of
- 13:06tiresome, no? Just picking his nose, giving us
- 13:10the same like you might as well be a politician.
- 13:13The way he answers questions, it's insane.
- 13:18Yeah, that's, that's got to be a that's got to be a tired act
- 13:21Speak. Speaking of getting old, we'd
- 13:26literally just talked about it last episode.
- 13:27Mike Trout was set to make his return and he made his return to
- 13:34a rehab assignment and was promptly removed 2 innings in
- 13:40due to a soreness in the knee that had been surgically
- 13:46repaired. And now we just got the update
- 13:52that he's been taken off assignment.
- 13:54So back to square one for Mike Chop.
- 13:57But look, like I said, no, no, no, no.
- 14:01Don't shake your head. Did I not say this?
- 14:03Did I not say did I? Not even the last time we had a
- 14:06Mic Trout update? I didn't care because it's like
- 14:10you knew this was happening. This was going to happen at some
- 14:13point during the rehab stint. As soon as he got back.
- 14:17It's just like, for what? What are you coming back for?
- 14:22Go ahead. I was just going to say I, I, I
- 14:26can't say what I said last episode with the whole like if
- 14:29Mike Trout has has one fan, it's me.
- 14:32If Mike Trout has no fans, I'm I'm dead.
- 14:35I can't say that. And then the news breaks of him,
- 14:39the news breaks of him being removed two innings into his
- 14:42first rehab start and then go, oh, just kidding.
- 14:44I, I take it back. I can't do that and I'm not
- 14:46going to stand your ground. However, I I was, I was really
- 14:53hoping this this comeback effort would have lasted more than two
- 14:57innings. Where he punched out looking on
- 15:01a fastball well. I don't care, but I'm not
- 15:03looking at the the we are well beyond the point of caring about
- 15:08the performance of Mike Trout in a rehab stint.
- 15:12Like. I know.
- 15:14I mean at this rate he has to have like a full career spent.
- 15:18It's possible doing rehab stints, no?
- 15:22Like a full see, you like when you when they show like certain
- 15:26guys that have like crazy playoff numbers or postseason
- 15:29numbers, It's like a full year has been spent in the
- 15:32postseason. It's probably like that.
- 15:34A full year has been, That's what.
- 15:36Yeah, I think, I honestly think that's what we're dealing with
- 15:38here. It's pretty, pretty wild.
- 15:40Boy I saw some TikTok of someone sitting like 6 rows back
- 15:44watching him punch out and I was like imagine dropping 75 bucks
- 15:47to watch this and then find out he's pulled from the game.
- 15:54I can't imagine. I'm not trying to be mean.
- 15:57Like obviously the world of baseball is better with Mike
- 15:59Trout in it. It's just like, I'm I'm over it.
- 16:03I'm over talking about it. I'm over speculating.
- 16:06I'm over wondering like, will he be back?
- 16:10If he does come back, is he as good as he used to be?
- 16:13Is he a shell of himself? Is he still the GOAT
- 16:16conversation? Like I'm just over it.
- 16:20I'm over it. I was I, I started to become
- 16:24over it when he signed this angels deal because like I, what
- 16:32are we? What are we chasing?
- 16:36And my beef with with with him is that it's like you're
- 16:45committing that long to a franchise that's just not in a
- 16:48position at all, but in anywhere near a position.
- 16:54And it, and is it just loyalty or is it like, what's the
- 16:58overall goal? How much of your goal is winning
- 17:01a ring versus just being like in a comfortable position, playing
- 17:08slightly outside the spotlight and stacking up numbers?
- 17:15I don't know. That's, that's, that's my beef.
- 17:18That's where I'm at with this. And the injuries are just, it's
- 17:23making it worse. And I'm I'm just kind of over
- 17:26it. I'm, I feel like my my
- 17:30perspective on Trout and his career shift almost daily at
- 17:35this point, just with every update that we get.
- 17:38But I think what I as a fan, what I would want to know at
- 17:43this point, at this stage in the game, I just want to know what
- 17:47your motivation is like. I want to know kind of like what
- 17:51you were saying, like what, Like what?
- 17:54What are we chasing here? Are we chasing a career with one
- 17:58team, regardless how many or how few appearances you have in the
- 18:04postseason? Are we chasing a ring?
- 18:09Are we chasing the largest contract we possibly can?
- 18:14Multiple of the above? Like what are what is it that
- 18:18you're after? Because we I just feel like
- 18:19anytime that he he gets interviewed or he these types of
- 18:25questions get brought up to him. It's just the same old and we, I
- 18:30mean, we've, we've made jokes about it, but it's just so you
- 18:33know, like the, the wonder bread type answers where it's like,
- 18:36you know, I just want to, I want to play as hard as I can and,
- 18:41and give it my all for the Angels.
- 18:43It's like, OK, like I respect that.
- 18:47And, and we, we did the whole world Baseball classic thing
- 18:50where you and I are like, all right, maybe this is like a,
- 18:52maybe this is a shift in, in the winds here.
- 18:55Maybe maybe the sales are heading in a different direction
- 18:59now that he's gotten taste of what it's like to actually play
- 19:02on the biggest stage. I, it doesn't seem as though
- 19:07that really changed anything. We're a, we're a year and a half
- 19:10past that now at this point. I don't really know.
- 19:15I don't know if I've, I've gotten any answers, any of those
- 19:18questions. I don't know if we as baseball
- 19:19fans have gotten any answers to those questions.
- 19:21So I don't know, I, I just, I don't know, like what we're
- 19:25doing. Like, I don't know how this
- 19:26ends. Does this end with him in an
- 19:29Angel's uniform? Does this end with him playing
- 19:31somewhere else trying to take one last stab at getting a ring
- 19:35once he realizes like, oh, wow, my clock truly is running out.
- 19:39And I actually do kind of want to a chance to at the very least
- 19:43show up in the postseason. I don't know.
- 19:46And it's, it's getting frustrating because I just, I
- 19:50really want to support Trout and I do.
- 19:53And I'm like, I'm behind him and I'm, I'm going to as, as, as the
- 19:56slander continues of like, oh, like I'm seeing so many comments
- 19:59right now in the, in the replies like, oh, it's just washed up.
- 20:02He's done. He's it's over.
- 20:05It's like, no, he's not washed up.
- 20:09He just gets hurt a lot. It's, it's not a, it's not a
- 20:13skill thing. Here's the thing though.
- 20:15Here's because like, as much as we can sit here, we don't know
- 20:19the guy. Like as fans, we don't know the
- 20:22guy, right? Like we can pick certain, you
- 20:26know, little segments out of out of little sound bites, out of
- 20:29interviews and and moments. And and you can hear about other
- 20:33guys around the league talking about him, about his skill.
- 20:35No duh, we're there with the skill.
- 20:38But here's my thing. He signed his contract in 2019.
- 20:452020 is is where we had the the shortened season.
- 20:50Since then it's been nothing. It's been nothing. 36 games in
- 20:572020, 119 in 20/22/82 last year so far, only 29 this year.
- 21:05Outside of that, like why? Why were you so healthy before
- 21:09this contract? Why was your lowest game?
- 21:13I mean, is it was 139 one 57157 one 59159 one fourteen 14134.
- 21:20Like you were consistent, you were healthy, you were durable.
- 21:24The second you get your bag now we're having these issues and
- 21:29like the torn meniscus is a torn meniscus.
- 21:31I get that. But at the same time, like if we
- 21:35don't know this guy and we can all just sit here and peg, hey,
- 21:38he's a good guy. He's a, he's a baseball guy.
- 21:41He's just a want to win guy. We don't know that.
- 21:45We don't know that he could just as likely be a guy that was
- 21:48like, I got my bag and I don't feel like really pushing it
- 21:51anymore. He could just as likely be that
- 21:55guy or treading on real thin ice right now.
- 21:58I'm just saying I'm trying to play devil's advocate.
- 22:00No, I and I and I hear you and I hear you and that it's like with
- 22:05anything, sometimes the, the, the, the potential truth might
- 22:11hurt in this and. This and this wouldn't be the
- 22:13first time an athlete's done this we've.
- 22:15Seen it across all sports. But it's different with Mike
- 22:19Trout though, because we're talking about a generational
- 22:21player. So it's it's harder, I think for
- 22:23me and probably a lot of other people to, to take that, to be
- 22:29able to, to digest that possible truth to where Mike Trout maybe
- 22:32is a guy that just got his bag and was like, I'm cool.
- 22:36I'm like, I'm fine. I don't think he's that way.
- 22:39I don't either. I, I do think that when you the
- 22:42correlation of being durable your entire career and then the
- 22:46second you get a $400 million contract, we start to go down.
- 22:52I do have to admit I don't think I ever put that together because
- 22:55I I just thought it was like an arbitrary point in his career or
- 23:00like a certain age where things just started to fall apart.
- 23:03But when you put it, when you put it into that perspective.
- 23:06I'm harder game, I mean. That's interesting.
- 23:11He turned 29 in, in 2021 and that's, you know, that's two
- 23:17years, it's a year and a half into the deal if you're counting
- 23:20like the shortened COVID year. So I don't know, I, I'm not
- 23:26saying, I'm not saying he, he's that guy.
- 23:29He doesn't seem that way. I, I, I don't think he's that
- 23:32way, but like there is a point where you kind of have to start
- 23:36asking that question of like you got your bag and now and, and
- 23:43what are we doing now? Are you going to rehab starts
- 23:46and just to like show baseball or fans or your organization?
- 23:53They're like, Hey, I'm trying, but I'm a little sore.
- 23:58I don't know, because I can tell you that I felt my torn meniscus
- 24:05very much so felt it. So it's just crazy to be like I
- 24:10tore my meniscus and I didn't even know it and not be able to
- 24:15associate it to a specific movement or play.
- 24:20I it's just like that's, that's kind of rare to me.
- 24:22I, I don't know, big conspiracy theorist.
- 24:25So yeah, we're I. I wasn't expecting to open this
- 24:28this can of worms with with Mike Trout.
- 24:30I'm not trying to be a hater. I'm not.
- 24:32No, I get it. I get it.
- 24:34But I just, when you look at like if you remove the name and
- 24:37you remove any sound bites we've ever gotten from him, and you
- 24:40just look at stats, you look at numbers, whether it's contracts
- 24:45or timing or games played. You look at the timeline of and
- 24:50how things have panned out. Yeah, I get it.
- 24:53You kind of have to have to ask those questions and I just, I
- 24:57feel like he doesn't get those questions asked because of who
- 25:02he is, who he was. I don't like that we're already
- 25:12using the past tense now. I mean, it's, it's not over yet.
- 25:16I'm I'm holding that hope that and that and I don't I think it
- 25:19was back when he actually was it back when he tore the meniscus.
- 25:23I guess when this injury initially happened, I think my
- 25:26whole thing was like, just give us one more year, one more year.
- 25:30And I don't, I, I put a number to it.
- 25:32I think I was like, give it, just give us like 120 games,
- 25:36like 115 games. Played 119 in 2022.
- 25:42That's all I'm asking for, just one more so we can at least just
- 25:45get that last taste of like, you know, I'm not going to say prime
- 25:50trout, but like, give us a glimpse back into what it used
- 25:55to be before you call it quits. Yeah.
- 25:59I don't know. Depressing topic.
- 26:04Let's move on to another depressing topic.
- 26:05Christian Yelich to the IL possibly could, well, I could
- 26:10miss the rest of the year. We got that update just I think
- 26:14minutes before we hopped on was placed on the 10 day because of
- 26:20inflammation, a lower back. It's possible that he could
- 26:23require surgery. He's seen a specialist this week
- 26:27or I guess tomorrow, today if you're listening on Thursday,
- 26:30it's going to see the specialist Thursday to figure out what's
- 26:33next and determine whether or not surgery is required.
- 26:37So it sucks for a team like the Brewers, who, you know, we, we
- 26:47have our thoughts and opinions on the Brewers, but they're
- 26:50they're in the picture pretty much year after year.
- 26:54It seems So like for a team that's more often than not in
- 26:58the picture, like what it what does this do?
- 27:01What does this do to a team like the Brewers?
- 27:03This kind of news. This is a tough, this is a tough
- 27:09blow. This is a gut punch.
- 27:12It prompted, it prompted Pat Murphy.
- 27:15I don't know if you saw his quote where he was like, what do
- 27:17you want us to do, go out and get Vladdy Junior?
- 27:21And I think Brewers fans are like, yeah, maybe that'd be
- 27:24nice. Yeah, that could work that.
- 27:26Could I did see I saw a comment where I was like this is low key
- 27:29Pat Murphy trying to ask the front office if they could.
- 27:34What do you want me to do? Oh.
- 27:35Boy, what do you want me to do? Or like, what do you want us to
- 27:38do? Go out and get Derek Scubal and
- 27:40Vladdy Junior? I mean, come on now.
- 27:43Oh. This one hurts man.
- 27:46I, I feel for this guy and just looking at his BR page, you
- 27:55could kind of see that it seemed like it was coming back.
- 27:58Like you could see that like that skill set that we saw in
- 28:02the 2018-2019 years hitting over 321 dot OPS, like league leader
- 28:11in in categories MVP year. Like you saw this starting
- 28:18starting to creep back, man. I mean, he's sitting 3:15 this
- 28:21year. He's got a nine O 9 OPS, 153 OPS
- 28:24plus. You know, I think that I think
- 28:29the 40 home run days were weren't ever going to be a thing
- 28:32again. But I think you you, it seemed
- 28:37like it was over. It seemed like this, this part
- 28:41of his career was done. But like backs never get better.
- 28:43You know what I mean? Ask Hershaw.
- 28:47Backs never get better, they just keep getting worse.
- 28:49But I really do feel bad for the guy.
- 28:58Not the same way as I'm not. I'm not.
- 29:00Just apples and oranges here. So.
- 29:02Don't get me. I'm glad you knew that I was
- 29:04thinking it. I was thinking, I was like
- 29:06trying to track here. I'm like, OK, now what's the
- 29:09what's the difference here? Not a $400 million guy.
- 29:12And also if you looked at the amount of games he missed, he's
- 29:16he's missed, you'd be like, I'm actually pretty impressed. 144
- 29:22last year, 154 twenty 22117 in 2021.
- 29:27Only missed two games in COVID year 1:30 one 47156.
- 29:31The guy doesn't really miss time.
- 29:33That. All things considered, it's just
- 29:36been just been like this unhealthy thing and when you see
- 29:40like the numbers that he was doing pre back injury, you're
- 29:43like this guy's capable of being a stud and then this back stuff
- 29:48comes in and you're like, well at least he's still powering
- 29:52through and playing. It's not up to the standard that
- 29:55we thought he was, but he has been showing up still.
- 29:59Yeah. I mean, there are different
- 30:00tiers of players across baseball or you have guys that are just
- 30:05routinely missing time. You have the tier of guys that
- 30:09are playing through nagging injuries that don't really give
- 30:13you a much output, but they're just out there.
- 30:16So you could make your argument of like, OK, well, like what
- 30:18value are they really bringing if they're just kind of taking
- 30:20up space? Not to say that that's what's
- 30:23happening with Yelich, but I'm just saying there's different
- 30:25category. Like to to kind of to kind of
- 30:31summarize our conversation about guys like Trout and Yelich
- 30:34there. There's different categories
- 30:36that these guys fall into and it's just a matter of which one.
- 30:39Like if you're going to get injured in your career, it's
- 30:41just a matter of which one you're lucky enough to fall
- 30:44into. Are you are you going to be a
- 30:45guy that just cannot shake injuries such as a guy like Mike
- 30:49Trout, or are you going to be a guy like Christian Yelich, like
- 30:54you said, who doesn't really miss time, but is more often
- 30:58than not fighting something like another guy that comes to mind
- 31:01is like Raphael Devers with the shoulder.
- 31:02He it's something that he just is constantly, constantly
- 31:07dealing with and he just more often than not plays through it.
- 31:11I mean, he'll have his stint every now and then, but we'll
- 31:15play through it. And it just sucks for a guy like
- 31:19Yelich and a team like the Brewers, who they, I mean,
- 31:23you're we're talking about an All Star here, like a literal
- 31:262024 All Star. And like you said, hitting over
- 31:30303 fifteen. I, I think it just it's a big
- 31:36blow, especially we we talked about it a handful of episodes
- 31:40ago. We're talking about a, a
- 31:42postseason field coming out of the National League right now.
- 31:46That could not be more dense. Yep.
- 31:50I mean, I don't, I'd have to, I'd have to check it again.
- 31:53But the last time we talked about it, we were talking about
- 31:57all but I think 2:00. I think 13 of the 15 National
- 32:01League teams at the time were six games out or less.
- 32:11And that still seems to be the case.
- 32:12The Nationals are 5 1/2 back of a wild card spot, so like it.
- 32:20It's just it's unfortunate when, I mean, they've got a little bit
- 32:24of a cushion in the division, which is helpful, but it doesn't
- 32:28help that you got quite literally the rest of the league
- 32:32breathing down your neck. If if you go with the MVP and
- 32:39really emphasizing value, that conversation, the value of that
- 32:46guy to that specific team, this is a big blow.
- 32:52This is a big blow. I think just his presence, he's
- 32:57he's like he's he's a superstar without being a superstar.
- 33:03It's he's he's like the perfect Milwaukee energy.
- 33:13I guess like, you know what I mean?
- 33:14Like it's it's this is a tough blow.
- 33:18This ain't easy when you're you can argue that you're probably
- 33:25still flying under the radar by leading the division by six
- 33:29games and you're in a legitimate chance, like a strong spot to
- 33:36make a post season run is a big blow.
- 33:41And you can't just sit there and say like you're going to join
- 33:45the sweepstakes of some of these bigger bats in in the trade
- 33:50market. I have no idea what their farm
- 33:54looks like, but let's face it, like the Brewers are almost the
- 33:57middle of the road in every category all the time.
- 34:01So like your ability to attract certain things or certain trades
- 34:06or certain players, it's never easy.
- 34:09There's a reason why we still talk about like the CC move, you
- 34:13know, like that's like their one great big move for the decade
- 34:19and you're just wondering if if they can pull some out of their
- 34:24pocket. You know, I mean, it just
- 34:26happened to be one of like the best acquisitions in in baseball
- 34:29history. So they like quite literally.
- 34:31Stumbled into like, that's what I'm saying.
- 34:34Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So like, I'm just wondering if
- 34:37if there's anything, if there is something else out there like
- 34:40that, it's going to be found by luck, especially when you have
- 34:46all of these big teams like Dodgers and, and, you know, like
- 34:52bigger teams that are willing to go get something that they're
- 34:57already rich in. I don't know.
- 35:03Well, talking, talking about other National League teams in
- 35:09the hunt now, I'm just kidding. Paul Skeens got dealt his first
- 35:19loss of his career. I'm not going to.
- 35:21We're not going to hype that up. I had you thinking though, like,
- 35:25oh whoa, whoa, I. Thought I was about to check my
- 35:27phone. I was.
- 35:28What happened with What happened with the Pirates?
- 35:30Now? Pirates, unfortunately, couldn't
- 35:32muster up enough run support to keep the impressive streak from
- 35:39Paul Skeens or or four Paul skeins from continue.
- 35:45They they fell, they fell short. Paul skeins through eight and a
- 35:50third in his most recent outing on Tuesday against the
- 35:53Cardinals. And there are a lot of people
- 36:00being like, welcome to the big leagues, buddy.
- 36:02This happens. I saw I saw some some comps
- 36:06being made to Jacob degrom and I'm like, we're not there yet.
- 36:11He hasn't put up like an entire career with no run support Like
- 36:15this is just one game. I understand that.
- 36:18But what's interesting is I I read that it's it was his first
- 36:27lot. This this most reason out
- 36:28against the Cardinals was his first loss since May 25th of
- 36:322023 when LSU dropped their game to Arkansas in the SEC
- 36:39Tournament. Crazy.
- 36:44It was also the first time he had pitched into the ninth since
- 36:47June 2nd of last year for LSU. Well, I mean, yeah, just is what
- 37:00it is. What do we?
- 37:02Hey, Parson had seven hits. They left seven guys on base.
- 37:06So to only get one run, Yeah. You got to be able to cash that
- 37:09in. It's it's Ace Day, you know what
- 37:11I mean? You got to score on Ace Day.
- 37:15This is Ace day. This is All Star Starter day.
- 37:20This is future Cy Young, multiple Cy Young winner day.
- 37:26You got you got to capitalize on on these on these days.
- 37:30How do you feel about that streak, though?
- 37:32Lost for the first time in 12 starts.
- 37:35And I know wins and losses are fluky.
- 37:37I understand. But for Paul skins to and I'm
- 37:42not saying his his season's over just because he got hit.
- 37:45He got dealt with a loss, but like for him to come up with all
- 37:50the hype and to be able to string together that that that
- 37:54lengthy of a streak without getting handed a loss, that I
- 37:58think that speaks volumes about. It speaks, it speaks volumes
- 38:01that this is how the loss went is a 21 ball game that he went
- 38:05in the the 9th. Like sign me up for that every
- 38:09damn time. Like, like it's not like he went
- 38:12through five and gave up six earned.
- 38:14You know what I'm saying? Like he took it into the 9th on
- 38:19to earn like sign me up every day.
- 38:22Every day. Yeah, He's such a freak, man.
- 38:26It's absurd. I don't I don't understand.
- 38:35Sorry, we had trivia from the I already knew the answer, I
- 38:40didn't even have to present it to the group.
- 38:42The trivia question from the sister found out, did some
- 38:46digging around, found out that she's actually my Co
- 38:51sister-in-law because she's the she's the wife of Meredith's
- 38:56brother. So she's not my she's not
- 38:59Meredith's sister because that would be my sister-in-law.
- 39:01She's the wife of the brother of my wife.
- 39:08Anyway, the trivia question from my Co sister-in-law was the Co
- 39:11chair of The Carlyle Group bought what MLB team this year
- 39:16for 1.7 billion? All right.
- 39:22I already knew the answer. Good stuff, it's a quick one.
- 39:27She still just texting under the table at trivia night?
- 39:33Or have you asked her about this?
- 39:36Does everyone else turn their phone in and she's I?
- 39:40Called her out on, I said. Mine's in the car I.
- 39:44I said I, I called her out and I said, why are you, why are you
- 39:49getting answers from me during trivia?
- 39:51And she goes, oh, well, it's just she's trying to like stump
- 39:53you guys, just trying to see like, if you know them.
- 39:55And I'm like, if that's true, then I appreciate it.
- 40:00But I'm not not so I'm not so certain that you're not feeding
- 40:03these answers to your team. Just like, you know, oh, the
- 40:08Orioles. What was that?
- 40:09What was that over there? Look at the TV.
- 40:11Yeah. I think there's somebody there's
- 40:14you got to be some people on the team that are in on it.
- 40:18I'd really I'd really like to know like maybe who is is
- 40:21running the trivia? Who's the host?
- 40:25Are they just that that lacks about everything you know?
- 40:30Maybe. Maybe questions?
- 40:32I need to ask her. Maybe she's like Ryan in the
- 40:34office when they go to trivia night and they're like, Sir,
- 40:37we're going to need your phone. He's like, I can't not touch it
- 40:41like a crack at it, 'cause I can't not.
- 40:43Touch it. That's true.
- 40:45I don't think it's that bad, but I, I, yeah, some answers need to
- 40:48be provided. Questions need to be answered.
- 40:53Yeah. Good for Paul Skeens, though.
- 40:54Sucks that you had to get dealt to Jacob degrom treatment so
- 40:58early in your career, but let's hope this doesn't last.
- 41:01All right, let's hope that this doesn't happen often.
- 41:08I've just mentioned this team, the Orioles, a team that is
- 41:11currently linked to Terex Scubal.
- 41:16How do we feel about that fit? I texted Ryan today and I was
- 41:21compiling some notes and I said give me, I can just read you
- 41:24directly what he told me. There we go, if you'd like and
- 41:28then I'll get your thoughts on the fit.
- 41:31I said give me your super abbreviated Cliff notes on what
- 41:34you believe the OS would have to give up for Scubal and then I
- 41:37said I'll be sure to credit you for your contribution.
- 41:39So this is directly from the man himself.
- 41:41Ryan there we. Go.
- 41:41There we go. He said one of the three holiday
- 41:46Basalo Mayo and and then a pair of the next tier.
- 41:50So maybe Norby Stowers cursed at etcetera.
- 41:54The OS could go deeper, but the problem is the Tigers don't want
- 41:57the deeper yet talented prospects.
- 41:59They want at least two guys. They can see his future All
- 42:02Stars. I think that's fair.
- 42:06I think that's fair. And being on Twitter with like
- 42:11following Ryan means that I have a stupid amount of Orioles stuff
- 42:15coming up on my timeline. Drives me crazy.
- 42:19But the amount of Orioles fans that are like this, like greedy
- 42:23prospect hoarding going on, like understand where your holes are.
- 42:29You need starting pitching the Basalo kid or Basalo, whatever.
- 42:35However you say his name, you have, I don't know, arguably the
- 42:39best catcher in baseball already.
- 42:41So maybe that's one of the names that could go, I don't know,
- 42:45Jackson Holiday, well, do you have a, a All Star and an MVP
- 42:50playing up the middle? So maybe we have room to, I
- 42:54don't know, go move somebody to get someone else where we need
- 42:57it. So I don't really understand
- 43:00what the issue is here. I don't understand.
- 43:03I, I think the Orioles are just in this weird position as a fan
- 43:07base where like there's so many huge prospects that so many of
- 43:13the fans are aware of. When you look across baseball on
- 43:17on average, like we don't really know prospects like, you know
- 43:22what I mean? You could maybe pick out one or
- 43:24two top prospect names, but for a fan base that's, you know,
- 43:32seeing so many names, so many first rounders, so many
- 43:38potential All Stars in this batch.
- 43:40It's like you go get that lefty who, I don't know, has better
- 43:47numbers than your ace and has control left.
- 43:52What are we talking about? Sorry Jackson Holiday like go.
- 43:59I've I always put a tweet out the other day, but I didn't want
- 44:03to come across as like just super negative and salty, but
- 44:07I'm, I'm just so over the mock trade culture that exists on
- 44:14social media, I guess specifically Twitter, but I see
- 44:19these I see these graphics all the time.
- 44:21Saying names that I think we should get, but I don't love the
- 44:26mock trade of like I I'm going to choose the 26th prospect and
- 44:30the yeah, like you have no idea. Stop.
- 44:32It's a stop. They have no idea.
- 44:35No, well, it's it's not Even so much the the names that are
- 44:38presented. It's the response every time.
- 44:41Like because I see these graphics all the time where it's
- 44:43like thoughts on this trade and for all intents and purposes,
- 44:47it's like AI mean it's not a great trade.
- 44:49It's probably not a realistic trade that a front office
- 44:51executive is going to look at and go, yeah, we should do that.
- 44:54It's I think it's really more so just for like entertainment
- 44:56purposes, just like start a conversation and the response is
- 45:00every time or just like, lol, no bro, crying emoji, crying emoji,
- 45:05crying emoji. And I'm like like relax.
- 45:09Like, for example, the an Orioles fan could be like or no,
- 45:17I'm trying to think of an example like, yeah, an Orioles
- 45:22fan in this scenario with the Terex Google situation, they
- 45:25could be like, we're going to give you Jackson Holiday.
- 45:30We're going to give you, in fact, we're going to blow the
- 45:33lid off this thing. We're going to give you Jackson
- 45:35Holiday. We're going to give you Gunner
- 45:36Henderson, Adly Ruchman, Kobe Mayo and Colton Cowser.
- 45:42And then the Tigers fans chime into they're like, lol, bro,
- 45:45wishful thinking. You think you're going to get
- 45:47Tarek Scubble? And it's like, are you looking
- 45:49at the names that are being proposed?
- 45:52Like I get, I get that you want to get like protective over your
- 45:55guy, but like, let's loosen the reins a little bit.
- 45:58And I know that that was an exaggeration, but sometimes I
- 46:01look at these mock trades and I'm like that, that seems like a
- 46:05decent conversation starter. But then you get these people
- 46:07that clearly just don't understand baseball.
- 46:10They're like lol bro good good try.
- 46:14Here's. What I have to say, we're going
- 46:15to have to up the ante a little bit.
- 46:17I am, I am in the camp that I I don't know why the Tigers would
- 46:20move on from him. What it?
- 46:27I mean, what are you trading for?
- 46:31Are you trading for someone that's going to have this same
- 46:33impact? Are you?
- 46:36Are you you're? Trading for.
- 46:38People that equal this same impact.
- 46:40No, I mean, from what it sounds like they're trying to, they're
- 46:44trying to retrieve a hall that's going to be greater than what
- 46:47Tarek Scubble. If if you're the if Tarek
- 46:49Scubble's on the Royals, I'm asking that question, what do
- 46:53you like? Why are why are you entertaining
- 46:56shopping Tarek Schuble? But he's on the Tigers.
- 46:59And I think myself included, I was of the belief a year or two
- 47:04ago where I'm like the Tigers are are kind of they're on the
- 47:07they're on the doorstep didn't pan out necessarily the way I
- 47:11thought it was going to and probably tigers fans were hoping
- 47:13for. But I can understand it because
- 47:18if you're the tigers, you're you're more than a couple pieces
- 47:22away, I think from from taking that next step.
- 47:27So like what? What good does it do to keep
- 47:30scuba around? Why not get because his his
- 47:34trade value is not going to get any higher like the the I mean,
- 47:37he is he is peak value in terms of what you're going to get in
- 47:43return. So like, why not just offload
- 47:46them? And especially for one of these
- 47:48teams that's maybe a little extra hungry for that deep run
- 47:52in October, such as the Orioles, Phillies, whoever else is linked
- 47:56to them, I suppose. Dodgers, Dodgers in there.
- 48:02Dodgers I. Suppose so.
- 48:03I just think with the years of control, I think they're in a
- 48:08position where they can ask whatever they want.
- 48:12I think they can. I think they can stand firm and
- 48:18assume that'll probably be in the next.
- 48:20Like if you're not getting the offers you want this year, wait
- 48:25out till next year. You're probably in the same
- 48:27boat, you know what I mean? But.
- 48:28That's what I'm saying. Do you run that risk though?
- 48:30Like you can, you can hope that he he reciprocate or he
- 48:35replicates this year, but I does it get better than what he's
- 48:41giving you right now? Wouldn't it make sense to just
- 48:44offload him now again, especially since there are teams
- 48:46where it just seems like such a perfect fit at this very moment
- 48:50in time? I guess I just don't pay enough
- 48:52attention to them, but I mean like, why not move Riley Green
- 48:58then too, you know what I mean? Why?
- 49:04I mean, I think if you're the like, to your point, keeping
- 49:08controllable guys around makes sense like for the future.
- 49:12But in terms of a guy like Scubal, again, going back to the
- 49:16value thing where that like this is, is presumably as good as
- 49:22it's going to get, why not go get just a massive haul to
- 49:26supplement those other pieces that you would be better suited
- 49:29to hang on to? I'm just.
- 49:30Struggling, man. I'm struggling specifically with
- 49:33the Tigers and the amount of names that they've had
- 49:38throughout the last 15 years. And you're like, at what point
- 49:43do you just commit and build? And I understand that all things
- 49:50kind of have to fall into place at the right time in the right
- 49:54way. But and, and guys like Torkelson
- 49:56have to pan out. Guys like Baez have to play up
- 49:59to their contract. Guys like, you know, Akil Badu
- 50:02have to play up to what they thought they were going to be
- 50:04like. You got to have some guys that
- 50:06performed. But at the same time, I'm like
- 50:08you, you've had so many names and you've moved on from them
- 50:12and you're just in this weird limbo status over and over.
- 50:19I'd be super frustrated if I were the Tigers.
- 50:24And that's why for me, like it has to be Jackson Holiday.
- 50:28I understand these other names are great, but like that guy, I
- 50:33have a good feeling about it's a good name.
- 50:35It's it immediately sells jerseys and and gets people into
- 50:40the sands. Like, I have to have that name.
- 50:44And if you're the Orioles, you've got to understand that,
- 50:47like, you're already pretty rich in the infield.
- 50:55And as much of A blow as it would be, this solves a big
- 50:59issue. And burns Scubal Grayson, 123 in
- 51:07the postseason. I got to do that move, bro.
- 51:14I would do that move right away. I hate to say it, but I I think
- 51:22I got to stay consistent with my beliefs.
- 51:24I've always said that I'm going to side with proven talent over
- 51:32prospects. And I think 100% as we're
- 51:34talking about this, that I, I, I, I have to believe that I have
- 51:39to apply that same line of thinking even to somebody like
- 51:42Jackson Holiday where it's like he could go on to win multiple
- 51:45MVPS, Who knows? You already have that guy.
- 51:51You already have Gunner that's going to have, you're so rich in
- 51:55the infield and just with prospects in general, like,
- 51:58yeah, it's, it would suck to lose Jackson of, of, of all of
- 52:01those guys. But like you have a real chance,
- 52:05like you said, to address an issue, to fill a hole and to
- 52:08realistically put yourself in a in a position.
- 52:13So win a World Series like. This is why you tank for so
- 52:17long, you know what I mean? It's to be able to move.
- 52:20Oh my. Gosh, some of those pieces for
- 52:22some some actual true stardom. He's a star.
- 52:29So Jackson, whoever this Basalo catcher kid is who I've heard
- 52:37great things about, move them both.
- 52:42Moving both I get. I think if you send Basalo to
- 52:45Miami, get yourself Tanner Scott and you send Jackson Holiday
- 52:49plus something for Tarek school. I genuinely don't see how this
- 52:55team doesn't get to the World Series.
- 53:01I don't know. They might be playing.
- 53:03If they do, they might be playing the Dodgers, a team that
- 53:07is reportedly in on Randy Rosarena.
- 53:13I feel like this calendar year, this past calendar year, the
- 53:21Dodgers, I think have legitimately been linked to
- 53:24every name, whether it be free Asian or trade target that has
- 53:29come across the dash. So this doesn't surprise me
- 53:34because as I mentioned, they're also linked to school as well.
- 53:39But how do we feel about Randy possibly in LA?
- 53:42I don't care. Randy's giving me Javi Baez
- 53:46vibes. It's really getting to that
- 53:49point where you play loud enough and you're enough of a fan
- 53:53favorite that we somehow forget your numbers are very, very
- 53:57below average. Let's let's look here, shall we?
- 54:05Because I feel like it. Are we dealing with a little bit
- 54:07of recently bias here? It's been a few years now.
- 54:16I guess you're right, because now that I think about it, I'm
- 54:18like that World Series was what, four years ago at this point?
- 54:22Right. And even then, like I don't, I
- 54:24don't know about that year, but like he has these flashes of
- 54:28like showing up in big moments. And that's what we remember.
- 54:33That's what sticks to us. These like big.
- 54:36Streaks I mean he's he's given you like he's given you above
- 54:48league average performance at the play like 2021, like post
- 54:52World Series run. He's he's given you seasons of
- 54:562020 and 20, three home runs, OPS pluses of 1/29, 1:23 and
- 55:071:21. So I mean, I don't I don't want
- 55:13to go as far as I mean, he was a All Star last year.
- 55:16I don't want to go as far as to say like below average, It's the
- 55:19Dodgers. What do they need?
- 55:22They don't need anything, but they're going to bring guys in
- 55:24anyway. Isn't he just like a poor man's
- 55:27Tay Oscar? It's not a bad cop, but like,
- 55:34like we. Talked about Oscar but like.
- 55:36But like but like we talked about.
- 55:38Is Hayward we're down? I'm so confused.
- 55:41No, but he would provide. What was that reading?
- 55:45It would be it would likely be right-handed pop.
- 55:50Yeah, it would be right-handed pop to where you would have
- 55:53Hayward as like a roaming kind of fill in the gap as a lefty,
- 55:59give guys a day off type role. You would have, you'd have Tay
- 56:07Oscar, you'd have a Rose Arena as like I said, right hand of
- 56:15pop. So you would be able to you'd be
- 56:16able to slot Hayward in to to balance that out a little bit
- 56:21from the other side of the plate, which I I can understand.
- 56:23But like we talked about when they, when, when Mookie went
- 56:27down, the thing you have to remember is it's easy to get
- 56:30lost in the dollar signs. It's easy to get lost in the in
- 56:33the the flashbulbs that surround that franchise where you go.
- 56:38Why? Like, why do they need player X?
- 56:42The reality is a guy like Mookie Betts, it doesn't matter how
- 56:46much money he's making. He's a player that goes down
- 56:51that then creates a need. So it's like it, I don't care
- 56:56how much money the Dodgers are paying Shohei or Mookie or Will
- 57:01Smith. If one of those guys goes down,
- 57:04it creates a, it creates a hole that would exist on any other
- 57:07team that loses a guy that you just have to fill.
- 57:12And the Dodgers just happened to be they're just willing to spend
- 57:18money to get the bigger name replacements more often than
- 57:22not. But like at the end of the day
- 57:24though a need or there's still a need there, the has to be
- 57:27filled. Doesn't add up for me.
- 57:36I under I guess I I guess ready pop is because like is it looks
- 57:47like Pahis is playing center mostly.
- 57:55Yeah, it's more of a, it's more of a corner outfield thing.
- 58:00I, it's just like I it's, it's just weird.
- 58:03Like, are there other names? Are there other center fielders?
- 58:07Like, I don't know, can't think of anybody right now.
- 58:15Why are you asking about center field?
- 58:17Just like Pahas isn't doing anything, Tay Oscar's in left,
- 58:21Jason Hayward's in right. Is this was the whole point to
- 58:24like have less like Platoon Jason Hayward more And is Mookie
- 58:31like Dun Dun? No, he'll be back next month,
- 58:36but. So what are we?
- 58:39Well, you. Tread water for a month like.
- 58:41Oh, Mookie's in your infield. Mookie's not part of this, this
- 58:44equation. I I think the latest that I saw
- 58:47was that if. He's going right back short.
- 58:49No, if anything like worst case he goes back to 2nd to to fill
- 58:56that hole and leave Rojas at short because I guess Rojas has
- 58:59been playing like. So Lux is going to be enough.
- 59:01Lux is going to be in whatever deal.
- 59:03Lux would be the odd man out of that scenario.
- 59:05But that that's what I'm saying. Mookie doesn't isn't relevant to
- 59:10the outfield conversation here that like this is independent of
- 59:13Mookie. This is more I think to your
- 59:16point getting getting Hayward to platoon more and to be more of a
- 59:24plug in and play as a lefty bat type situation.
- 59:32I think we fall too much. We were The game is too in love
- 59:35with the ready lefty crap. I agree, but it's.
- 59:39Created we've created this, this narrative to we've overblown it.
- 59:46I would look at Jazz personally, if I was the Dodgers, I'd look
- 59:49at jazz. You can play centre, you can
- 59:51play second, you know what I mean?
- 59:54And like if the days that the days that if Mookie, if say you
- 59:59don't want Mookie back at 2nd and you put him in right, Jason
- 1:00:02Hayward's played centre before then you can keep Jazz at second
- 1:00:05like I. I think we fall too much in love
- 1:00:08with like the the righty lefty stuff.
- 1:00:10That makes more sense to me. And I did, I saw a report come
- 1:00:15out recently that said the Yankees were like wary of how
- 1:00:18Jazz would fit in, which I, I mean, I can understand, I don't
- 1:00:23maybe necessarily agree with the whole conversation, but I can, I
- 1:00:25can see that point of view. But Lai mean, that's a great fit
- 1:00:32for a guy like Jazz. Yeah, yeah, I I think jazz makes
- 1:00:37a lot more sense than. Because that center seems like
- 1:00:41more of an issue than your corner outfield.
- 1:00:43I don't know. I could see it.
- 1:00:49I do it. To your point, though, I like
- 1:00:50the flexibility of having Jazz be able to bounce around to give
- 1:00:57guys days off at at times. So yeah, that's that's that
- 1:01:03would be helpful. The Braves.
- 1:01:09Boy. How the player players only
- 1:01:12meeting this week? Really not much to go into
- 1:01:16there, but I just thought it was worth noting given our our
- 1:01:19chatter on the Braves last episode.
- 1:01:23How do we how do we feel about the players only meeting?
- 1:01:26Do we think this will benefit them?
- 1:01:31Maybe not like, you know, in the coming days, but do we think
- 1:01:35this could be, this could serve as a moment in the season where
- 1:01:38they look back on and go, you know, that served as a turning
- 1:01:41point for us long term. Do we think that players only
- 1:01:47meetings are a little overblown at this point?
- 1:01:52It's funny how they always come out in media, always.
- 1:01:59Anytime there's a player meeting, it's always coming out.
- 1:02:05My buddy Colin texted me and I haven't like confirmed these
- 1:02:09numbers, but he texted me the other day and he said guess how
- 1:02:16many fantasy points Matt Olson has in the last 30 days?
- 1:02:23And this was two days ago. Four.
- 1:02:28He had four fantasy points in 30 days.
- 1:02:35I don't know, man. Like I said, I think they're
- 1:02:37cooked. There's there's only so much you
- 1:02:39can do with with those names going down.
- 1:02:42But like Matt Olson, Sean Murphy, Austin Riley, Ozuna, all
- 1:02:51these names need to step up like that.
- 1:02:53That's still when you name that. If you put that out there, I
- 1:02:56think there's a lot of teams in baseball.
- 1:02:57It'd be like, I'll take that middle of the of the lineup any
- 1:03:00day and I can figure it out from there.
- 1:03:08I just thought of the name, by the way, for the Dodgers, Louise
- 1:03:11Robert has to be the guy. A right-handed center fielder.
- 1:03:15Done. Why are we talking about Randy
- 1:03:18or Rezarina? Go get that.
- 1:03:20Go get that done. I would love, I mean, it's not,
- 1:03:25it's not realistic. I would love to see Crochet and
- 1:03:29Robert package together. I would love that too.
- 1:03:32I don't. I don't care where they end up.
- 1:03:35I would just love to see that duo head like take over a city
- 1:03:39for this last stretch here, I mean.
- 1:03:42Talk about clear out your farm. That would do it anyway.
- 1:03:45Yeah, yeah. I don't know, man, but it's
- 1:03:48whatever. I player meetings just start
- 1:03:55winning games. I just start playing better.
- 1:03:58I don't. I'm so over Atlanta.
- 1:04:03You got man, I'm just you're over for everything.
- 1:04:08You're over everybody. Is there anybody?
- 1:04:10No legitimate quite actually, this is fun.
- 1:04:13This is a fun little exercise because you're over your own
- 1:04:15team that you're currently repping.
- 1:04:17I am. Is there somebody that you're
- 1:04:20like not over? I'm not over the Phillies.
- 1:04:26I'm not over the Guardians. I'm impressed there.
- 1:04:32I'm not over the Astros. I'm not over the Royals.
- 1:04:39Yeah, but like I could see the, I could see a team like the
- 1:04:42Guardians going on like a one in six stretch over the course of a
- 1:04:45week. Dude, it's the, it's the
- 1:04:48Guardians. What did you think was going to
- 1:04:50happen? What did?
- 1:04:51What did we expect? Yeah, you said at this moment
- 1:04:57you didn't say in the future. That's fair, That's fair.
- 1:05:01No, the Braves. Weird spot.
- 1:05:05Just run it back. You don't need to sell anybody.
- 1:05:07You don't need to buy anybody. Just accept this.
- 1:05:12Just just wear this one. Accept your mission of needing
- 1:05:17to finish ahead of the Mets. That's it.
- 1:05:20That's all you're trying to do. Try not to embarrass yourself
- 1:05:22this year. That's it.
- 1:05:24There's no pressure. No one wants, no one needs you
- 1:05:26to go win a trophy. Just don't embarrass yourself.
- 1:05:30Just remember the injuries comments to everybody had
- 1:05:33everybody deals with injuries. I don't care.
- 1:05:36No, no, I I understand no, I, I get it, I get it.
- 1:05:42I know the names that have gone down, but like we've seen teams
- 1:05:49figure it out otherwise. And I, and I'm not, I'm not
- 1:05:53saying, like you said, you don't have to go out and win me a
- 1:05:55trophy, but I think even having lost what you've lost at this
- 1:06:00point, you can at least finish with a respectable year like
- 1:06:02you, you can put together a season that you can hang your
- 1:06:05hat on. Don't just just don't go out
- 1:06:08there and fall on your faces and, and, and do it under the do
- 1:06:13it behind the veil of well, we had we had a lot of injuries
- 1:06:16this year. It's like you're a good enough
- 1:06:19team to where you can figure it out with what you've got.
- 1:06:25And nothing's stopping you from going out and adding at the
- 1:06:27deadline. You're you're a team that's
- 1:06:29proven that you're not afraid to make a move.
- 1:06:32Go out and go out and make something happen.
- 1:06:36Go out and and. Go get Louise, Robert and and
- 1:06:40like you said, go get him. Just don't embarrass yourself,
- 1:06:43that's all I'm asking, please. Speaking of a National League
- 1:06:49East team or specifically a pitcher, is Luis Severino soft
- 1:06:55for walking back his comments about the Yankees?
- 1:06:59Yeah, bro, what's? I was not a fan of that.
- 1:07:02Like stand your ground a little bit.
- 1:07:04You were right in what you said. Back it up.
- 1:07:08Yeah. Give me a little bit of spark to
- 1:07:11the whole the Subway series, man.
- 1:07:14Like, give me a little, give me a little juice there. 100%.
- 1:07:18But instead he walked it back. And if you have no idea what I'm
- 1:07:20talking about, he said back on, it's like close to a week ago at
- 1:07:25this point. I think it was like July 19th.
- 1:07:27He the story came out that said Luis Severino was in like a
- 1:07:33group text with some of the guys on the Yankees and said they
- 1:07:37they were telling him that he was afraid of the Yankees for
- 1:07:40not starting in the first part of the Subway Series.
- 1:07:46And his response was, I'm not afraid of you guys right now.
- 1:07:50You only have two good hitters. That's just, that's just factual
- 1:07:54information. There's no, that's not
- 1:07:56speculation. That's not, that's not
- 1:07:59subjective. That's very much objective
- 1:08:01information. And then it of course, you got
- 1:08:06guys on the Yankees getting their feelings hurt.
- 1:08:08I think. So Soto came out and said
- 1:08:12Severino and the Mets can think whatever they want.
- 1:08:15We dominated the first half. So I don't think it's about one
- 1:08:20or two players wrong. You're wrong.
- 1:08:26I don't to say dominated first of all, I think is a little bit
- 1:08:32of a stretch like let's check the, let's check the standings
- 1:08:36here, Juan. It was a good first half.
- 1:08:40I wouldn't say dominated. It was a good first half.
- 1:08:43Domination was lacking, but he's not wrong.
- 1:08:50It's Juan Soto and Aaron Judge and that's it.
- 1:08:54They're the only, I think I read today they were the only two
- 1:08:57guys on the team that are hitting over 300.
- 1:09:00And then I think Giancarlo Stan is the only other guy in
- 1:09:03addition to those two that's slugging over like 400.
- 1:09:08It's it's rough, yeah. So that's it?
- 1:09:11Yeah, that's literally it. Your your ace Garrett Cole has
- 1:09:15been less than impressive generally.
- 1:09:19Speaking Home runs tonight. So there you go.
- 1:09:22And I know he missed time, but like, it's Louis.
- 1:09:24Six runs and five and 2/3 innings.
- 1:09:28There you go. Luis Severino was correct in
- 1:09:30what he said. I'm sorry that it hurts your
- 1:09:32feeling, Mr. Soto, but he's right.
- 1:09:35But the fact that he walked it back and was like, yeah, I was
- 1:09:37just joking. It's.
- 1:09:39Like yeah, that's weird. No dude, just like.
- 1:09:44That's weird. Just.
- 1:09:45Plant your flag, man. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:49I mean, it could, it could have been just be like, I feel like
- 1:09:52him and Glaber boys. Glaber would have been like, yo,
- 1:09:55what about me? Why would you say that about me?
- 1:09:58Thought we were friends. That's probably what happened.
- 1:10:03I don't know, I get it. I mean, it's at the end of the
- 1:10:06day, it's not even like a big deal, but I'm just like.
- 1:10:08Tell me he looks good with a beard, I'll give him that.
- 1:10:10He does, and he looks good. He's looked good this season.
- 1:10:14He sure has, generally speaking. So I don't know.
- 1:10:18I just thought maybe this could have served as like some little
- 1:10:20bit of a spark for something. Got the boys fired up a little
- 1:10:23bit. But yeah, in in in typical
- 1:10:28modern day fashion. Everybody's friends.
- 1:10:32Everybody's, everybody's buddies.
- 1:10:34I would just love a good just give me a good rivalry.
- 1:10:37Just somebody to a couple teams out there.
- 1:10:39Give me give me something to tune into.
- 1:10:41You know, like we don't all have to be friends.
- 1:10:43We don't all have to be dapping up at first base every game.
- 1:10:47Like, come on, just give me a little bit of, give me a little
- 1:10:50bit of a competitive edge. That's all.
- 1:10:53That's all. Simple as that.
- 1:10:55That's all I ask closing the book here.
- 1:10:58Mets have reportedly agreed to a well, this was as if I guess
- 1:11:03yesterday. I'm sure it's official at this
- 1:11:05point have agreed to a minor league deal with Jackie Bradley
- 1:11:09Junior. It's about as I I see you
- 1:11:16rolling your eyes. It's about as insignificant of a
- 1:11:18closing the book item as as we could probably have.
- 1:11:23And honestly, if he hadn't played in one of World Series
- 1:11:25with the Sox, I probably wouldn't have even included it.
- 1:11:29But I just thought it was interesting because he was
- 1:11:31playing. He'd been playing for the Long
- 1:11:33Island Ducks and tearing it up, by the way.
- 1:11:36But I I know that they don't really carry much weight, but I
- 1:11:39just thought it was interesting. Just thought I'd include it in
- 1:11:41the list in case anybody was out of the loop.
- 1:11:47So we move on. Weekend series talking about
- 1:11:55what? I really don't want to make a
- 1:11:57wager. Well, I'll give you a second to
- 1:12:01to maybe think on it and I'm going to run through my series
- 1:12:06talking about two teams of we've already touched on and two teams
- 1:12:11that's or, or one team in particular that I've already
- 1:12:15said. You better hope and pray that
- 1:12:18you finish above this other team in the standings or else you're
- 1:12:21never going to hear the end of it from me.
- 1:12:22The Braves at the Mets, you got a four-game series starting
- 1:12:26tomorrow or today if you're listening on Thursday, Chris
- 1:12:29Sale verse the aforementioned Luis Severino.
- 1:12:33That's his seven 7:10 PM Eastern game two.
- 1:12:36I honestly think that's going to be a good game.
- 1:12:38Like, I know Severino hasn't been pitching up to sales level
- 1:12:41this year, but I think that'll be, that's a, that's a strong
- 1:12:44match up. Yeah, with the way Felice has
- 1:12:47been pitching this year. Game 2C Morton versus Kodai
- 1:12:50Sangha. As we mentioned last episode,
- 1:12:52Kodai Sangha making his season debut at the 7:10 PM Eastern.
- 1:12:58That's on Friday. On Saturday we got Spencer
- 1:13:02Schwellenbach versus TBD. Cool name.
- 1:13:06Big match up there, 4:10 PM Eastern and game four Ronaldo
- 1:13:09Lopez versus David Peterson at 1:40 PM Eastern.
- 1:13:15I like it. I think the first two games line
- 1:13:17up well for the Mets and looks like they're coming off of two
- 1:13:22wins against the Yankees, so rolling in hot.
- 1:13:25Well, I don't, I don't know if I'd say they line up well for
- 1:13:27the Mets. I mean, you're, you still got to
- 1:13:29go up against Chris Sale, even though Luis Severino has been
- 1:13:31like better than than expected. You still got to take down Chris
- 1:13:35Sale. That's that's a tall.
- 1:13:36That's a tall ask. Well, I guess let's talk about
- 1:13:42it. The red hot Yankees are going to
- 1:13:50are going to Fenway. We never we never do these
- 1:13:53matchups. But let's face it, I mean,
- 1:13:55they're within what, four or five games of each other?
- 1:13:58So this is a pretty big series, whether you guys like it or not.
- 1:14:04We're going to be tuning in because it is this is a big
- 1:14:09moment in the season. So.
- 1:14:11Yeah, the dominant Yankees that Juan Soto was talking about,
- 1:14:14they only have 4 fewer losses and six more wins.
- 1:14:21Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, Red Sox.
- 1:14:24And it's about to be even less 'cause I'm assuming the Yankees
- 1:14:26are going to drop tonight's game.
- 1:14:28Yeah. Dominant.
- 1:14:32Series starts Friday I think. Yeah, Friday.
- 1:14:40That's 726, right? Friday.
- 1:14:44Nestor going against Baio If if you're a betting man, just peep
- 1:14:51at what Nestor does on the road. I would probably lean my bet
- 1:14:58towards the over. The man's atrocious on the road.
- 1:15:03Game two Saturday, Marcus Stroman going against Cutter
- 1:15:06Crawford and game three. I think this is the one to
- 1:15:11watch. And of of course, it's Yankees,
- 1:15:14Red Sox. So you know it's Sunday Night
- 1:15:15Baseball Rd. Don against Tanner Halk.
- 1:15:21I don't I I couldn't be less confident in making a bet right
- 1:15:24now. The only thing if if somehow the
- 1:15:28Yankees are making a trade either today or tomorrow in
- 1:15:32rejuvenating whatever this is in the clubhouse as far as energy
- 1:15:39goes, It's the only way I would feel confident.
- 1:15:42Otherwise, I have no idea that doesn't.
- 1:15:48If you told me that the Red Sox got blown out by 20 and then
- 1:15:56still swept this team at that. If that was a recap and we're in
- 1:16:002025, you're like, hey, remember that time in 2024 this happened?
- 1:16:05I could see it, I could see it, I could hear it.
- 1:16:09I hate this team right now. I don't.
- 1:16:14I don't get you sometimes. The lows are low, pal.
- 1:16:17The lows are real low. This is a low.
- 1:16:22I mean, you're 17 games over 500.
- 1:16:27The way they lose games in the lineups they roll out, it's
- 1:16:32embarrassing. I have no idea how this this
- 1:16:39this. They're one of the worst teams
- 1:16:40in baseball since like, June. That that is true.
- 1:16:44Yeah. Last two months, horrible.
- 1:16:47That is a fact. Well, I mean, it's no fun if
- 1:16:52you're only going to if you're only I don't know what's going
- 1:16:54to make a wagers if you're like fully confident, like I could
- 1:16:57not be more confident in this scenario that like that's it.
- 1:17:04Maybe you need something like this.
- 1:17:06Maybe you need a little a little little wager, a little gamble
- 1:17:09here to get the competitive juices flowing again.
- 1:17:12Because right now you look like you just found out your dog died
- 1:17:15or something. Like you got to.
- 1:17:17Feels that way, feels that way. I'll turn this off.
- 1:17:21Yeah, I'm sure watching this this get down at the hands of
- 1:17:24the Mets probably isn't helping. Yeah.
- 1:17:26Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know.
- 1:17:30What do you want to do? Are you that confident in your
- 1:17:33team? Your pitching lines up well.
- 1:17:37To your point, it's a very intriguing scenario where it's
- 1:17:40like we did just let up 20 to the Rockies of all teams, which
- 1:17:46by the way, I saw our, our guy that Justin Havens, the, the
- 1:17:53Nugget chef. Yeah, he, he put up something
- 1:17:57today. I, I can't find it at this
- 1:17:58moment, but it was something to the effect of only the, the
- 1:18:02Rockies and the A's have put up. I think it was 16 runs this
- 1:18:06season. That's cool.
- 1:18:09How crazy is that? No, What's your point?
- 1:18:13It's a very intriguing situation where it's like, yeah, we just
- 1:18:16gave up twenty, but I could very easily see them sweeping the
- 1:18:19Yankees, and I'm not it's not like a bit.
- 1:18:21I legitimately could see that happening.
- 1:18:24Yeah. So I am a little confident.
- 1:18:28Yeah, I'm not. I'm not at all.
- 1:18:30I don't even think it helps that if if it was in Yankee Stadium,
- 1:18:35I wouldn't even feel more confident.
- 1:18:39I think it's just a good thing that Cole isn't pitching.
- 1:18:48So what do you think? I don't know.
- 1:18:54Since June 15th, the Yankees have a record of 10 and 21.
- 1:18:58Yeah, there you go. See love that insanely bad.
- 1:19:11So what do you think? Are we, are we doing this or
- 1:19:13not? Are you just going to roll over?
- 1:19:16I'll make a bet I just you just get it.
- 1:19:18Depends. No, if your heart's not going to
- 1:19:21be in it, I don't want to do it because then it's just not even
- 1:19:23going to feel like it's not even going to feel like a win for me.
- 1:19:25It's just going to just be like, all right, well, they just doing
- 1:19:28this thing because we said we would.
- 1:19:34It's fine. We have, we have some time.
- 1:19:37Is there another is do they match up again in like
- 1:19:39September? OK, just keep pushing this back.
- 1:19:44They probably do because I think wasn't it like super deep into
- 1:19:48the season the first time they matched up?
- 1:19:55Let's see, September, Yeah, September, September 12th, 13th
- 1:20:03and 14th. But that's on.
- 1:20:06Oh, and 15th, that's a four-game.
- 1:20:08All right, how about this? How about a delayed bet that
- 1:20:12combines this series with that series?
- 1:20:18All right. So that's seven.
- 1:20:19Is it this a three-game set on this week?
- 1:20:22Yeah, I think yeah, Friday too. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:20:24They start Friday. Yeah.
- 1:20:24So seven games, that's A7 game. Next one is 4, so yeah.
- 1:20:30Do they not play in August? No.
- 1:20:33Oh, they sure don't. Oh, so this is it?
- 1:20:34These are the last two series. Yeah.
- 1:20:37OK. How how's that feel that that
- 1:20:41allows me at least because I do. I genuinely think this is
- 1:20:46Cashman's last ride and and he's going to make moves.
- 1:20:50He's going to this roster is going to at least get some
- 1:20:54additions. Now, Cashman, Cashman will be
- 1:20:57back. You and I know that, you know as
- 1:21:00well as I do he'll be back. All right, so seven game series.
- 1:21:04What kind of what kind of wage are we looking at here?
- 1:21:08We talking like food wager. We talking like clothing wager.
- 1:21:13I'd rather not do anything with like facial hair.
- 1:21:15I know there's there's some people tripping on that.
- 1:21:18Yeah, I'm not into that. Yeah.
- 1:21:22Not into that. I don't have any hair on my head
- 1:21:26so can't do anything there. What do you think?
- 1:21:45You got some. No, I got to make it good
- 1:21:51though. This is because this will be,
- 1:21:54this will be fun. We'll have, we'll have, we'll be
- 1:21:56able to stretch it out over the course of two months.
- 1:21:59We'll be able to tap back into this back in September, up in
- 1:22:02September. Yeah.
- 1:22:11Dang, we need to figure this out.
- 1:22:13Take on it, we got one more day. Yeah, I can even put out like a
- 1:22:19little video if I need to. I can.
- 1:22:20I can tweet it out or something. Oh thank God we can.
- 1:22:23Cook something up a little bit. I just need to get I, I need you
- 1:22:26to, to get into the spirit here because if you're just going to
- 1:22:30if you're going to be talking about how much you hate your.
- 1:22:31Team that will allow me if you're.
- 1:22:33Just going to be talking about how much you hate your team the
- 1:22:35whole time. It's not going to be an
- 1:22:36enjoyable bet. I hear you.
- 1:22:38I might lose. I hopefully I'm hating them less
- 1:22:41at that point in September, like very well could be hitting them
- 1:22:46more. I don't know, but I, I will.
- 1:22:48This is this will allow me to to do that.
- 1:22:55Could we? Could we could go with like a
- 1:22:58good old Waffle House challenge, You know what I mean?
- 1:23:00I'm not doing Waffle House. There's not even one close
- 1:23:03enough to me to where I can make that happen.
- 1:23:05We could do a different kind of challenge.
- 1:23:07We could do a Taco Bell challenge.
- 1:23:09You got to hang out in Taco Bell.
- 1:23:11That's terrible. Hey, you know how many tacos
- 1:23:16would that be? 50 What about a I'm.
- 1:23:19Not eating 50 tacos, dude, I'm not eating 50 tacos.
- 1:23:27I could I could get on board with the with the food related
- 1:23:30challenge. Well, like a nugget.
- 1:23:31What about a nugget like McDonald's nugget Challenge or
- 1:23:34something? What would that look like you're
- 1:23:38saying like in the in the Waffle House style challenge, like in
- 1:23:41the in that vein? You got to sit, you got to stay.
- 1:23:44One of our wives is unfortunately going to have to
- 1:23:47sit across the table and and film it you.
- 1:23:50Wouldn't need to do that, just set up the phone.
- 1:23:52You could. You could even live stream that
- 1:23:54thing if you needed to. I don't.
- 1:23:55Want to go in there alone? That's where that's where the
- 1:24:00embarrassment comes into play. It's so tough there.
- 1:24:05I think there's a there's like a thing where you can get, I think
- 1:24:10it's like 50 Nuggets and like 4 medium fries or something like
- 1:24:15that. I would, I would probably.
- 1:24:21I'd probably die. Depends on the time.
- 1:24:26I could house that. That's tough.
- 1:24:35It's all old. That's part of the challenge
- 1:24:37too. We'll think on that, but maybe.
- 1:24:40Old thing on it. I don't know, I think like a
- 1:24:45Taco challenge could really do wonders.
- 1:24:48Taco Bell though, that's, I mean, we talk about food all the
- 1:24:56time though, so maybe the food is the way to go.
- 1:24:58Yeah, who knows? We'll we'll think on it.
- 1:25:00We'll come up with something good.
- 1:25:01I mean the the, oh, the Billy Bean fit that was we thought we
- 1:25:04sat on that for a minute and came up with something good.
- 1:25:06So. Yeah, we'll cook something up.
- 1:25:09We got a day. We had a, we got a day.
- 1:25:11We'll figure it out. All right, That's all I got.
- 1:25:15I hope you folks enjoy the rest of your week.
- 1:25:18Enjoy your weekend. And I think the next time you
- 1:25:22hear from us will be Sunday. Yeah.
- 1:25:26When's the deadline? When's the trade deadline?
- 1:25:28It's next week, right? What's the Thursday?
- 1:25:32Thursday. That's twenty 24th is it
- 1:25:39Thursday? I can never remember.
- 1:25:41They switched it to August 1st, right?
- 1:25:42Yeah, so it's that's Thursday, so hopefully stuff will be
- 1:25:47happening by Sunday, at least a couple.
- 1:25:51Yeah, well, hold on. The MLB trade deadline is
- 1:25:56Tuesday, July 30th. What?
- 1:25:59Oh, I thought it was the 1st. What?
- 1:26:02How are things not happening yet?
- 1:26:06Stuff's definitely going to be going down this weekend then.
- 1:26:09When did they change this to July 30th I.
- 1:26:14Don't know, I don't care. Wow, OK.
- 1:26:16I just want things to happen. Oh, so that's great.
- 1:26:19July 30th will be Tuesday, which means we can do a little,
- 1:26:23little, hopefully things will have happened by Sunday.
- 1:26:26We can do a little update on that and then we can do a full
- 1:26:30deadline recap Wednesday. Love that, love that.
- 1:26:36Cool. It's stuff awesome, awesome
- 1:26:41blossom. Don't go chasing curve balls.
- 1:26:46We love you all and as always, looking forward to talking more
- 1:26:48baseball with you guys soon. Until next time, say Filthy.
