- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Welcome back, Skip.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Thanks.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: He's gone, hasn't he?
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: What did he have done?
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Nah, listen, I edges.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: That forehead's not moving.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Can I uh now I want to address a couple of things.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Straight in.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Were you listening to the other?
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: Of course, I listened.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: It was very good by the way.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Murph's episode, really good.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Um come across really well.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: I haven't been able to get rid of him.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: Have you been hanging around with them on Saturday?
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Uh no, it was good.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: I listen obviously I listened to it over there.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: I listened to it.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: No, I watched half on YouTube and listened to the half on Spotify walking up the beach, and it was really good.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, and he came across really well.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Picked it up, wasn't it?
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: And like you said, like you said about Murphy should be involved in football, shouldn't he?
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: But what I wanted to address was this uh this little thing I get from the Chinese for the drive home.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah?
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: That's wrong.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: I've been with you.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: It's not six, it's ten.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: No, but listen, listen, it's it's ten because we used to share five each, but they're really small, these uh these spring rolls, but you spring rolls.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: I was laughing when he said aye.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: But Dolton to Brampton's a long drive, so.
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but do you remember when we used to order it and go right, we'll pick it up at half six?
- 1:04SPEAKER_03: So you get there at half six, never ready, and you pay, but then he gives the he gets the ticket and gives it the rank.
- 1:11SPEAKER_03: His head falls off.
- 1:12SPEAKER_03: So we have to go over across the road and have a pint.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's a shame, man.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: I know, I know.
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: Um shall we recap on Murph before we recap on your Holland?
- 1:21SPEAKER_03: Yes, go on, yeah.
- 1:21SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 1:22SPEAKER_03: So Murph got put right, 470 odd games.
- 1:25SPEAKER_03: More years service for Carlisle than was said on Wikipedia, but some important goals, wasn't it?
- 1:31SPEAKER_03: Uh conference playoff final, Johnson's paint's painting.
- 1:35SPEAKER_03: St.
- 1:36SPEAKER_03: Johnson and uh goal to clinch the title when we played at Rochdale away, left foot.
- 1:42SPEAKER_03: Played loads of positions, busy man, but knows his stuff.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Very, very good player.
- 1:48SPEAKER_03: Must have been tough for them, Ronnie Collins' days, though, to keep on side with that, but also be mentally strong enough in them days to be as busy because you used to get hammered for bitching.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Do you know what he I went I was listening to his talk about?
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: He was clever, you know, on nights out.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: He was there, but he was very like sort of in the background, never, never pissed, just like never on them.
- 2:10SPEAKER_04: I love VIP.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: No, no, it's that he's always but he he he he he did go out a lot because he did go out a lot, um but he was he was sensible.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: He was a good pro, and like I said, like I I was I played with him twice, Sallygnation and Carlisle, and he was brilliant.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Like was he?
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, very, very good player, suited to modern game we've seen, my man stepping out so clever, like just to step ahead all the time and stuff.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah, really good.
- 2:33SPEAKER_03: He wanted to play centre mid, but you know, he was playing uh no I remember one we didn't get into it, but we're willing coming back.
- 2:41SPEAKER_03: But one year he was sick of playing left back, left he left midfield filling in.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: He always wanted to be a centre half, so on purpose only Murph would do this on purpose.
- 2:51SPEAKER_03: He came back heavier, bigger built to say to like Neil MacDonald, I'm I'm a centre half now, I'm 26, 27.
- 2:59SPEAKER_03: This is where I want to be.
- 3:01SPEAKER_03: Instead of was it his height or not?
- 3:03SPEAKER_03: I mean, he's I know he's not small, but it's just massive.
- 3:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we had Kev Grey, we had Libsey, yeah, Grandy, but Murph got loads of games like left as I say, he played left wing all season in the conference.
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: Did he ever play centre mid for use or not?
- 3:15SPEAKER_03: He played a couple of times with me in centre mid sometimes of three, yeah, and then he'd go back on the left.
- 3:20SPEAKER_03: And then I remember one time he was finally playing centre half, and I crashed into Z go on Friday training.
- 3:27SPEAKER_03: Z Go couldn't play, so Murph had to go left back.
- 3:30SPEAKER_03: He's gone rich.
- 3:31SPEAKER_03: So as I say, he came back one year just to say nah, enough's enough.
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: I backed myself to play, and I think that was when Kev was either in his last year or Kev had left.
- 3:41SPEAKER_03: So really the shirt was there for Murph to grab, so he grabbed it, and then that was it.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: But that's like sort of his mindset, isn't it?
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: I think if he gets sets his minds on something, he doesn't he doesn't stop until he gets it.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Like yeah.
- 3:51SPEAKER_03: Well he knows like it's little things, you know, when he's in Annan for me, when he took over at Annan, like he tried like a full-time job, didn't he?
- 4:00SPEAKER_03: He was just like on the ball, made sure that he had got his staff in place, had four or five staff instead of just two.
- 4:06SPEAKER_03: Delegated, worked with Moxon a lot.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Um, it was interesting what you said about him as well, wasn't it?
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: The way you come on and stuff.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: It's the first time I've ever met him, to be honest.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: Obviously, the user've spoke a lot about him, do you know?
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: But you can tell like in the hour or two he sat there, the knowledge of the game and kind of that old school but intelligent.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Like um I enjoyed him putting up the microphone stand so I could prep.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: Well they mentioned the wording game, didn't he, about what you would say at half time, didn't he?
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: And we said like more of the same, but he wasn't having it, was he?
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Nah.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: I feel like somebody it's been a manager though, isn't it?
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Like for us sitting there, you just as kind of as a fan, as somebody that's played, you kinda you say things, but when you step behind, do you know what I mean?
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: And you're a manager and you're thinking of and you've probably he's probably seen it where his team have let teams off the hook, yeah, left it half time thinking, ah the boys are sound, yeah.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Came out of the second half.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: And it all changed.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: So it's all changed.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: So he's thinking, now when you've got your foot, do you know what I mean?
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: You put it down.
- 5:02SPEAKER_03: I saw I thought about this.
- 5:03SPEAKER_03: So anyone who didn't listen last week, it was kind of half time at the wording game, Carl L were dominating and weren't there.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: There were one nil up that hit the bar, hadn't they?
- 5:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they were massively in charge.
- 5:12SPEAKER_03: Um and we said as a manager you'd probably say more of the same, but Murph was like totally disagree because no two halves are the same, and Worthing can't be as bad.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: But I was thinking about this, and a Simon dressing room and a John Ward dressing room, and probably Peter Reed dressing room, they could have said that.
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: A new MacDonald dressing room, he would have said more of the same, and I think that dressing room at that time might have got a bit giddy, and as he said, we might have lost a few.
- 5:39SPEAKER_03: Um the Barnsley dressing room probably didn't have enough to carry on that.
- 5:44SPEAKER_03: So I get what he's saying.
- 5:45SPEAKER_03: Some players do switch off, but I think we had a couple in colour when we're like, right, let's just take it.
- 5:52SPEAKER_03: Nah, they wouldn't let it happen.
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: But uh it was good though, I like that he disagreed.
- 5:58SPEAKER_03: Typical nerf.
- 6:00SPEAKER_03: I thought he was gonna be an arse when I said Zorco or Bridges uh about who was better, because I thought he was just gonna say as well.
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: But I'll go back to that.
- 6:10SPEAKER_03: Hold on a skip, anything to report.
- 6:12SPEAKER_03: Did you wear flip-flops?
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Um crocs?
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: No, flip-flops, all flip-flops.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Um if you're so passionate about crocs, there's a hell of a lot of crocs about by the way.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they look well on people crocs.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: As I say, they're not a fashion state, and they're a comfort thing, aren't they?
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: But uh a few things, yeah.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: When we landed, um unfortunately my missus was part of this clapping the pilot.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: She did it.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Listen, my mother-in-law watches Mandy.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry about your daughter, but she clapped the the pilot.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: That's a straight head.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: I couldn't believe it.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: I looked at, I went, What are you doing?
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: But then Sophia joined in, which I guess she's seven.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Nah.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Seven.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Nah.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: Zara's getting launched.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: No, I don't mind that.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: I would encourage her later if you want to.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Who started the ripple?
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: It came from a little bit behind it.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: She joined in, and I just looked, I went, You can't be doing nothing.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: But you're not giddy pissed.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: No, just really I'm trying to help you out.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: I really enjoyed the landing, so that was the first thing I just sit around the corner and put things in bullshit.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: So that was that.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: And then um an airplane.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Obviously, the the the obvious one, the sunbed, getting the sunbed on the morning.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Did it was a torture?
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: So, have you seen them videos online where they all sprint towards the beds?
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Well, it that it wasn't that kind of hotel.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: You could go on the beds at any time, yeah, but you had to stay on them till seven in the morning to keep them.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: So if you put towels down and left, the guys were coming around just lifting the towels.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Love that.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: And putting them in the house.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: So I had to go down to get a decent one.
- 7:34SPEAKER_03: About what time?
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Six.
- 7:36SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 7:36SPEAKER_03: What in stay?
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: Till seven, yeah.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: But once seven hits, you can go back to bed.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: But we took sort of turns, but it's a pain in the ass.
- 7:42SPEAKER_03: Why don't they just say eight?
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: But you've got to think that's four o'clock in the morning, isn't it?
- 7:49SPEAKER_03: Uh yeah.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: I need to go places where there's enough sunbeds.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: See, I'd rather just go down whenever I'm ready and just make it walking and find somewhere.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: Someone took my towels off my bed.
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: Oh, nah.
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: Did they?
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: I was loving it.
- 8:04SPEAKER_03: I went out of love.
- 8:06SPEAKER_03: Straight over.
- 8:07SPEAKER_03: Oh, I loved it.
- 8:08SPEAKER_03: German, the words.
- 8:09SPEAKER_03: German, typical, but it was a long time ago.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: But I now you I've been to hotels where they assign you one and they just go, they're yours.
- 8:17SPEAKER_03: And if you want to move, like when the next because everyone leaves every other day, don't they?
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: And say, We'll come and see, do you just want to move?
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: But by the time you get the first one, first day, you think I'm settled now.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: Does it annoy you when you're at the I don't know if it's just me, but see when you're at the pool?
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: Because I just go down after breakfast whenever we're ready, two kids, it's difficult to get up on it.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: So go down and just try to get beds wherever we can and put a couple together, whatever.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: But see when you go down and like the same couple of the family have got the same beds every single day.
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: I don't know why, because I've got my beds.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: We're happy the kids are playing.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but see the fact that they I know that they're getting up so early.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, the grandparents are up and they're putting stuff on the beds, and they've got the same beds every day, it pisses me off.
- 8:55SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah, I used to go with a couple of families when I was like 11, 12, all the way up, like from 10 to like 15, 16, whatever.
- 9:02SPEAKER_03: And my sister used to just uh get the beds when she came back from clubbing from Iron Apple in the way back to us, so she just put them back, put on about half five, six.
- 9:10SPEAKER_03: But I don't that's not allowed these days.
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: No.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: So anything else, just one more thing up, you enjoyed yourself.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: I was listening I'm I'm probably sure.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: The suitcase got there this year.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, suitcase got there.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: I might show my age, but the gaff is involved with this because he's admitted it, hasn't he?
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Uh this double waistband thing, but it's always Calvin Klein's boxes under swimming shorts, and the Calvin Klein waistband is above the swimming shorts.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: You guilty of this, no?
- 9:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but do the kids no, so you're wearing the wearing swimming shorts now, they wear boxes underneath.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: But the Calvin Klein waistband has to be above the so I think they're the covering the kite or something.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: No, they're all just youngsters in some are, some aren't, but I was tempted about two years ago.
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: I don't get my head round it, mate.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: I just think like why would you why would you get wet boxers?
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: I know it can't be comfy, can it?
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: No, you're comfortable, but like why you get both both wet?
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: But it's it's very very common now.
- 10:03SPEAKER_03: Your mate used to play for Colour City, he's donated in the raffle, Tom Mahoney'll know.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: He'd look well though, wouldn't he?
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: We'll ask him why.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: I'll ask him why I he'll know.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: He knows all that cross but eye.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: No, but apart from that, it was a very enjoyable week away with with Dominus, so yeah.
- 10:19SPEAKER_03: Good.
- 10:20SPEAKER_03: Right, episode 29, 30?
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: 30.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: Right, so listen to this.
- 10:46SPEAKER_03: Welcome, welcome, I don't know, I don't know.
- 10:48SPEAKER_03: I've been I've been hip hammered for openings.
- 10:50SPEAKER_03: So call the United just say that they put the 05-06 um season on on Saturday before the game.
- 10:57SPEAKER_03: Comment on the big screen.
- 10:58SPEAKER_03: Well, I got out my we've got we went to the rugby club and I could hear the commentary.
- 11:02SPEAKER_03: I'm like, fucking get in.
- 11:04SPEAKER_03: Had a good season here.
- 11:05SPEAKER_03: As I walked around the corner, all I heard was commentary, and Lumsden gives it away again.
- 11:12SPEAKER_03: The next thing, as I've got closer, I've missed a sitter.
- 11:16SPEAKER_03: I'm like, this is absolutely killing me.
- 11:17SPEAKER_03: Like, but they only played half, they hadn't got to the bridgey bit, but it was kind of good.
- 11:21SPEAKER_03: You forget how good Carl Hawley was.
- 11:23SPEAKER_03: Ah, he was uh Psy Hackney, and then I was thought Rafael Nari had had a beast, but he there was some good highlights early on.
- 11:29SPEAKER_03: Brendan McGill flying down the wing.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: Now they was rapping.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: Somebody was at the fan zone spoke to me and said that every time they mentioned Lumston, you were like like standing up.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: Just kind of looking about, like to let everybody know you were there.
- 11:42SPEAKER_03: Not the first two, and then uh someone was going, I love it.
- 11:46SPEAKER_03: Because I'd done that.
- 11:47SPEAKER_03: I went, just wait till you see this pass in two minutes.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: You imagine him though he'd have been in New Zealand.
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: Oh, loving it, loving it, we're all good.
- 11:55SPEAKER_03: Uh so second part on Monday.
- 11:57SPEAKER_03: So is that when you won League Two?
- 11:59unknown: Aye, not bad, isn't it?
- 12:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it killed us to be fair.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: Dylan in hospitality.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, it was brilliant.
- 12:05SPEAKER_01: Thanks to the gaffer for the tickets looking after us, took the family along.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: Um I've been since obviously I'd left, what, just over a year ago?
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: So it was brilliant.
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: It was good to enjoy the experience of what goes behind the the match, if you know what I mean.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: Like a couple hours before getting breakfast and so I it was so it wasn't it was brunch, wasn't it?
- 12:23SPEAKER_03: It was twelve o'clock half twelve kick off.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: So you go in about ten o'clock ish and you've got croissants and yogurt pots and stuff like that, and then bring out a full English breakfast.
- 12:33SPEAKER_03: So yeah, I thought you were just getting croissants and that and then I seen the I went, yeah, let's drop that, isn't it?
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: Pre-order your drinks at half time.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: Ah, the kids loved it, and it was good.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: Go out and it's good seats.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: Comfy seats.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: Aye.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: Again, like we've all obviously experienced it and were said with the owners, like what they've done off the pitch.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's phenomenal.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: They match the experience, it's phenomenal, like with the fan zone and then the boxes and everything.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: So aye, it was good.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: Um the family enjoyed it, so I I think I'll try to get along there a couple of the games this year.
- 13:00SPEAKER_03: On to the game midfield for me, excellent.
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: Ellis Aziz, deep bunker, licence to get forward.
- 13:12SPEAKER_03: All of them got a bit of physical presence, all of them can handle the football.
- 13:17SPEAKER_03: It just worked.
- 13:17SPEAKER_03: Now I know Ellis will probably be like, well, we'll get McAdam or someone in for him or whatever.
- 13:22SPEAKER_03: But I think he just complimented the two.
- 13:24SPEAKER_03: Simple, effective, and I think that three away from home, especially will be decent.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: But will the midfield three be McAdam instead of Ellis when he's fit?
- 13:33SPEAKER_03: I don't know, but McAdam.
- 13:35SPEAKER_03: I like that the the choice of them four.
- 13:38SPEAKER_03: I know Wheelan's got to come into it, but let's be honest, it's it's it's not happened for him yet.
- 13:43SPEAKER_03: He's out for a while, but I just think in this division, what we said before the game on Saturday, we need a bit of muscle, we need a bit of power arriving from the box.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: That's bunker, three goals, and yeah, couldn't have gone any better for him, could it?
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's good at that to be fair.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: Did he did he do that at first screen?
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: I look his profile, he's a big player, he can get about a pit.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh, and he he looks to affect the game.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: That's what I like about him.
- 14:07SPEAKER_01: And they're plenty of strength, really.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: The ball goes wide, he comes and links up, but then the ball goes wide, he hits the box and he gets his goals.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: So um good start.
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: I like the boy as he's first thing I'd seen him in the flesh.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: Good player.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: I think he got a better kind of license to kind of get in the ball.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: First 20, the crowd were just on the turn until he scored, and then yeah, he was if teams gave him that much space and time in the ball, he hurt teams, but um you can see that he's got quality.
- 14:36SPEAKER_03: He looked much more comfortable, it looked like he was playing where he played for Morecambe because the other games he was relying on people to get him the ball and they weren't getting him it, but it was up to him.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: You can tell he's a good player though, just by you know it's like you can watch someone for two minutes, I think, and you think he's very comfortable.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: But you know that bunker he he he was desperate to get his third goal, wasn't he?
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I was listening just listened to on on the radio, um, and they were saying like he's not just content with getting two.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: I sometimes you could just say I've got two, I'll just last man, he was trying to get in there and get his third goal, which is which is good.
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: He um the defence let's go the keeper, keeper done very well, yeah.
- 15:10SPEAKER_03: Very loud.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: Seeing that save save.
- 15:13SPEAKER_03: They're saying it's one of the best saves, but it looks like it's in.
- 15:16SPEAKER_03: And you know, had the shot, he's been around for ages.
- 15:20SPEAKER_03: Who?
- 15:20SPEAKER_03: Got his name now.
- 15:21SPEAKER_03: Miles Weston, 38-year-old, played for Brentford.
- 15:25SPEAKER_03: I think he played in the final against uh Carl Eller, Murph scored in, but he just curled it, and you're like, that's in all the way.
- 15:31SPEAKER_03: Then he shuffled his feet and got up.
- 15:33SPEAKER_03: But I like him because he's loud and he's a bit aggressive with the lads.
- 15:37SPEAKER_03: The defence need Feeney back in.
- 15:40SPEAKER_03: I thought Nicholson was a bit was it Nicholson?
- 15:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, left footer.
- 15:44SPEAKER_03: A little bit off.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: He'll make a massive difference, won't he?
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: You know what's off.
- 15:46SPEAKER_03: But Feeney can talk him through it.
- 15:48SPEAKER_03: Um DeRue again, good.
- 15:51SPEAKER_03: Galvin's little bit having a little bit of a spell, but I think he'll come good.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: He was alright last year.
- 15:57SPEAKER_03: What do you think he said to Harper?
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Well at centre midfield.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: Because he didn't do that much wrong, but he's just he just doesn't do like it.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: I think Harper will play, you'll play you'll no play every game, but you'll play the game.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: No, I'm not saying he should play centre-mid, but I'm just gonna hear Pullman said, just said, look.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: Saying that they'd not won out the soul they can't.
- 16:18SPEAKER_03: Well Harper's got a right to say, look, Galvin's struggling, isn't he?
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: So 100%, yeah.
- 16:25SPEAKER_03: And then Linny on the left, much better.
- 16:28SPEAKER_03: Much better.
- 16:29SPEAKER_03: Body language, the lot.
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: I know a lot of people were saying he was throwing his hands at the game, but he wants the ball.
- 16:33SPEAKER_03: Ellis took it off him at one point, he screamed, but I I get it, because he was on that little run and like mid-run, Ellis just nicked it.
- 16:41SPEAKER_03: Which is fine to go the other way.
- 16:43SPEAKER_03: But I much better.
- 16:45SPEAKER_03: I think this is the problem in the National League.
- 16:49SPEAKER_03: It's hard to find what the test is because you're gonna get a game where you win.
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: No matter what bad run you're on, you'll play a team where you're gonna win.
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: So there's another test.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: Friday we should win.
- 16:59SPEAKER_03: Scunthorpe should be a test, but they're struggling.
- 17:01SPEAKER_03: But if they take confidence from that, should be a different different atmosphere around the club now.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: I was looking at the fixtures today.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: They've got Boringwood away and then South End at home.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: Two things two games in a row.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: If you lose them two, we'll go to the game.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: That'll be yeah, that'll be uh that'll see where they're at, sort of.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, even uh even early doors, because them two them two look like they've set off like a house on fire, don't they?
- 17:20unknown: Yeah.
- 17:20SPEAKER_03: Well, it's good to talk about Carl winning.
- 17:23SPEAKER_03: So Friday night game and then Monday scunt up at home.
- 17:26SPEAKER_03: We'll see where we're at.
- 17:28SPEAKER_03: Now, we've spoken about him in one of the first pods, and I want to speak about him again.
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: What is Fulford and what is happening with Phil Forden?
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: This is not just because I said he'd have two shots on target.
- 17:41SPEAKER_03: It's something to do with it, but he's right basically right wing back.
- 17:46SPEAKER_03: The manager's got him like, why is he not in the 10?
- 17:48SPEAKER_03: And then he's having to chase their fullbacks back, and he can't actually get bullied.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, in them positions, he just looks weak.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: That's a proper 10.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, very good.
- 17:59SPEAKER_03: Or proper off the wing.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: He needs to find a system where he can put him in and that kind of eight, ten rolls.
- 18:06SPEAKER_03: Is he good enough to do that though?
- 18:07SPEAKER_03: Is he good enough to go right, we're gonna build our team round four?
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: See, it just depends what the manager plays, isn't it?
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: If he's got a identity and how he wants his team to play, if he doesn't play with that sort of player, then he's it's not gonna work, is it?
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: You're gonna try shoe horning somewhere, but he needs to play in that wee pocket where he's on the half turn and he's driving it back lines and making wee passes and scone what was this a couple of seasons ago he scored.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: When was the last time he was on actually on fire though?
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: It's a while ago now, you know, isn't it?
- 18:35SPEAKER_03: He's always been promising and then he comes to 26 and he had to he left got left out for a while and then he done all right at that season, you said.
- 18:42SPEAKER_03: But I'm sure he just signed another long.
- 18:44SPEAKER_03: He has seen another one, but I just I I I am of course I say it, but I'm not saying it.
- 18:49SPEAKER_03: Like he's not you're not going down as a Premier League great for what he's won.
- 18:52SPEAKER_03: You can't have him fighting for the ball at right wing back though.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: Nah, he couldn't.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: That's like David Silver and stuff like how good he was in the pockets.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: That's asking him to play right wing back.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: It's not gonna happen.
- 19:05SPEAKER_03: I thought City Wappo like Bombett.
- 19:08SPEAKER_03: I thought go and get another one.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: See, I only hadn't lost four.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: Four Sunder.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: About 18 games or something like that.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: I was talking to Julian this morning about um the games, obviously, and we're saying about Arsenal probably favourites to go and win easily.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: Who's second?
- 19:23SPEAKER_03: Right, who's your top four?
- 19:25SPEAKER_03: Oh, Arsenal won.
- 19:26SPEAKER_03: Arsenal won.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, uh Evelyn.
- 19:30SPEAKER_03: Um what I've seen off the weekend.
- 19:32SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna go Chelsea too.
- 19:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but what I've seen off the weekend, yeah, yeah.
- 19:35SPEAKER_03: But I just think they you know what Chelsea are like, but Alonso might be different.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: I think they'll they'll win like three, four games and then they'll go like three, four games with women or stuff.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: I just don't see it.
- 19:44SPEAKER_03: I I I I get you, but I don't think there's much I think Liverpool are miles off it.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: Man United bad?
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: But they're again the because they've got that much firepower up top, could Arsenal they'll win games, but they'll not be consistent enough to be chasing could Arsenal win it comfortably, do you think?
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: I think so.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: Good dude, couldn't it?
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: Nah, I don't see anyone getting close to it.
- 20:04SPEAKER_03: Right, I'm gonna go Arsenal and then I'm gonna win Man City.
- 20:07SPEAKER_03: Just because of the BNN done it and Harland wins you Holland and who's a goalkeeper now?
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: I don't know done or still.
- 20:15SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 20:16SPEAKER_03: They win your points.
- 20:18SPEAKER_03: Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: What about a Brain or something like that somebody outside?
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: Not a villa.
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you what, they get bad than a villa.
- 20:31SPEAKER_03: Not Newcastle.
- 20:33SPEAKER_03: Not Spurs.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: It's one game, isn't it?
- 20:36SPEAKER_03: Manu nah, not Man you.
- 20:39SPEAKER_03: Liverpool?
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: I think it's Liverpool or Man United.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: I think it's Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna go with.
- 20:46SPEAKER_03: Talk me through Isaac.
- 20:48SPEAKER_03: That's obviously I've got down here.
- 20:49SPEAKER_03: Verts and Isaac for Liverpool.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: See Gary Novell, he was harming him a bit, and he was like, when when he's like being really lenient with him.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: They've got to take some.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: I know Isaac had a bad injury, didn't he?
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: But the boy Verts, like, he just doesn't look interested.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: I know that's probably when he's at his best, where he's just been free.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: You just went for more, don't you?
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: You went for him to come alive, aren't you?
- 21:11SPEAKER_03: But he's just traveling.
- 21:12SPEAKER_03: My mates have been hammering Alanger and Wisa in Newcastle.
- 21:17SPEAKER_03: And then on Saturday, Alanger's still roar as hell, but he's but that's the last that's what he wants forever.
- 21:24SPEAKER_03: 18 yards to 18 yards.
- 21:26SPEAKER_03: Just sprint, did he sprint in front?
- 21:28SPEAKER_03: Left back.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, you would do it.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Imagine imagine that was one of us.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: Imagine.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: I'd just pull up, I'd pretend I'm hammy.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: Jimmy's grabbing.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: Do you remember Rodney Jack?
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Play it with him a crew.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: How fast was he?
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: I had to chase him up the wing, mate.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: I could hear people in the crowd laughing.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Julian Jo.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Is he running on the spot?
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: I think someone shouted.
- 21:47SPEAKER_03: He was fucking how he was running.
- 21:49SPEAKER_03: Julian Joe Chim, the whole of New Ferrens.
- 21:51SPEAKER_03: Do you know when you can't run?
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: Do you know when you can't run?
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: You've got to not get in them situations, haven't you?
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: You've got to use your you've got to lose your hidden.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: Even then the boy hang out.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: He's giving you 10 15 yards.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Still be that was quick by the way.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: You need to just like bulldogs in it.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: You still gotta just kinda go for the man instead of forget where the ball is.
- 22:06SPEAKER_03: Bottom three.
- 22:08SPEAKER_03: Ooh.
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: Hull.
- 22:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:11SPEAKER_03: Coventry and Ipswich.
- 22:12SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna say one of them's not gonna go down.
- 22:17SPEAKER_03: It's maybe Coventry.
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: I think why do I think Coventry though?
- 22:22SPEAKER_03: Because they've not really bought.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think Coventry will go down.
- 22:27SPEAKER_03: Hull or Ipswich will stay up.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: I don't think the Hull will stay up.
- 22:32SPEAKER_03: Fulham were alright last night.
- 22:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they'll be back.
- 22:34SPEAKER_03: I thought Fulham will be alright now.
- 22:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they'll be alright.
- 22:39SPEAKER_03: Tough on that.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Probably them three.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:41SPEAKER_03: Sunderland?
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: They'll be fine.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: You've seen it loads of times, haven't you?
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: No, when they have a right good season.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: And they've got Europe.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they could be done with that.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: Chelsea haven't got Europe, have they?
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: No.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: I've seen Carriger slotting Sunderland basically last year.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: It was in the last minute, they can see there was something in the goal.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: He had the ball in his hand and he throws it out the centre half.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: And he's like, if that was last year, first year in the Premier League, last minute, everybody's up to take the point.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: He's like, now you've got centre half dropping to go on the ball.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: He gives them it, plays a straight pass, three seconds later, the ball's back in the neck.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: He's like they're starting to kind of feel like they belong there and it's costing them.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: Instead of doing what the bottom team sort of should do.
- 23:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah, got it right to go in about playing out from the back.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: Or a little mate, Russell Martin's at it again.
- 23:24SPEAKER_03: Oh Burton, I'll be in.
- 23:25SPEAKER_03: In fact, let's go on to it.
- 23:27SPEAKER_03: Leicester beat it home.
- 23:29SPEAKER_03: I've saved this.
- 23:30SPEAKER_03: So Russell Martin on the worst 25 minutes of his life.
- 23:34SPEAKER_03: He says I'll take responsibility as manager or Leicester manager.
- 23:37SPEAKER_03: I'll take responsibility because I've prepared the team psychologically well enough.
- 23:41SPEAKER_03: Then we have to look at why.
- 23:42SPEAKER_03: We have to make sure that's our worst 25 minutes this season.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: I've went straight to the comments.
- 23:48SPEAKER_03: He is so so good at talking shit.
- 23:51SPEAKER_03: Heard it all 12 months ago at Rangers and 20 months ago at Southampton.
- 23:55SPEAKER_03: How he got the job is beyond me.
- 23:58SPEAKER_03: There's a different one there.
- 24:00SPEAKER_03: Does he think he gets Leicester back into the championship after that performance against Burton?
- 24:04SPEAKER_03: Honestly, that performance, all they do is pass, pass, pass, lose the ball, goal in their own box.
- 24:10SPEAKER_03: Tippy tappy football for hours on end, and then you'll lock go up the other end and score with two passes.
- 24:16SPEAKER_03: It's what Leicester do.
- 24:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 24:19SPEAKER_03: One second immediately.
- 24:20SPEAKER_03: And there's the same kind of quotes on the Rochdale about Mike Williamson's assistant.
- 24:28SPEAKER_03: Ian Watson.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: How much of a disaster he was at Rangers, though?
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: How does he get the Leicester job?
- 24:34SPEAKER_03: It was a disaster at happen in a way.
- 24:36SPEAKER_03: He got them up through a class run and then he wouldn't bend.
- 24:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's right.
- 24:40SPEAKER_03: And then he said, I will bend and he didn't, and Rangers he didn't.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: No, these won't.
- 24:45SPEAKER_03: They're done it in that country.
- 24:46SPEAKER_03: They won't change.
- 24:47SPEAKER_01: They won't change.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: It's got to change.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: They believe in it so much that the only way it will work if they believe in it 100%.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: The players don't know.
- 24:55SPEAKER_01: Disney always worked, do you know?
- 24:58unknown: Aye.
- 24:59SPEAKER_03: I can't remember who it was on Talk Sports.
- 25:01SPEAKER_03: It was one of the journalists on a Sunday.
- 25:04SPEAKER_03: The two journalists do a bit of class, Ian Custis and someone else.
- 25:07SPEAKER_03: And they said this could be it for him, Lester.
- 25:11SPEAKER_03: This could be him done for a while.
- 25:13SPEAKER_03: Aye.
- 25:14SPEAKER_03: You've got to get Lester have got the best players to just play attack and fight.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: That's probably where they're thinking, isn't it?
- 25:19SPEAKER_01: It's like, well, they've got a way of playing and a style.
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: If you give them better players, they should win playing this certain way.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: But now teams just know that they're no doing anything different.
- 25:30SPEAKER_01: So now the whole game plan for the week is they might play through us once or twice, but out of the ten times they do it, if we nick one or two, we'll fucking we'll clean in.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: So I'll be getting beat off Burton on your first home game.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Then ten men.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm always thinking.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Then they go back to C1, didn't they?
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: But I've done Leicester and that place can turn.
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: Can it?
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: The training ground in that as well at Leicester.
- 25:52SPEAKER_03: It's like oh, it's amazing.
- 25:54SPEAKER_03: They live there, half of them.
- 25:56SPEAKER_03: I would gotta stay over training again tomorrow.
- 26:00SPEAKER_03: Thought you were off.
- 26:00SPEAKER_03: Nah.
- 26:02SPEAKER_03: Mean again.
- 26:03SPEAKER_03: Got an update from Ian Heslop last week.
- 26:06SPEAKER_03: Remember the Stag do?
- 26:07SPEAKER_03: He wanted to start a stag due up in New Castle, and he was asking, does the stag pay for himself?
- 26:14SPEAKER_03: Oh yes, I heard this.
- 26:15SPEAKER_03: And we said he shouldn't.
- 26:16SPEAKER_03: He shouldn't.
- 26:18SPEAKER_03: So an update from Ian Heslop, who's seen our day out was going to arrange a stagdue in the castle, but should the groom pay?
- 26:24SPEAKER_03: And we said no.
- 26:25SPEAKER_03: But anyway, watch the podcast last night.
- 26:28SPEAKER_03: Always delivers a good watch.
- 26:29SPEAKER_03: I was on I was on Murph in the Johnson Payne final at 33 to 1 as well.
- 26:34SPEAKER_03: So everyone's backing them.
- 26:35SPEAKER_03: If you are serious about coming on the stag do, you're very welcome.
- 26:39SPEAKER_03: I'll keep you in the loop.
- 26:40SPEAKER_03: Make sure you bring Millie with you.
- 26:41SPEAKER_03: Oh Christ, we might just bow out now.
- 26:44SPEAKER_03: I'm up in Carlisle this weekend visiting, and I've got a bottle of gin somewhere I'd like to donate as a raffle prize.
- 26:49SPEAKER_03: Not sure how I'll get it to you as I'm busy all weekend, but I would make my it would make my brother-in-law's day if Lummy knocked on the door to collect it.
- 26:57SPEAKER_03: Depends what gin.
- 26:58SPEAKER_03: He is the granddad of Ollie, who there's the lad who skipped mentioned during the commentary during the Worthen game.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: Or Stu Ferguson's boy at the operation.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, so there it is.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: By the way, he's home and he's on the road to recovery.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: He's doing well, so good on him.
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: Let me know if he's up for it and I'll leave him there to collect.
- 27:16SPEAKER_03: Leave it at Stu's, then.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: Leave it at Stewart.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: He lives opposite Morrison's.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: Leave the Stewart.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: The only man that touched the blue and white Christmas tree.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: Is that Madame Carlo?
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: So it's Stu.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Stu gets angry.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: Does he?
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: He gets angry.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: Nothing's allowed in the paddock anymore.

- 40:46SPEAKER_03: Oh, is it that old?
- 40:47SPEAKER_03: Because now it's back out on Netflix.
- 40:49SPEAKER_03: It's not the English one.
- 40:51SPEAKER_03: Someone walked off.
- 40:52SPEAKER_03: A kid walked off after two days when I can't detect it.
- 40:55SPEAKER_03: There's some lads just going there, I'm sure they're like just pretend they're with someone for a year and they get in, they're like, Learn it.
- 41:01SPEAKER_01: It's the thought, though, isn't it?
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: See the thought.
- 41:03SPEAKER_03: They've all all the lads have got to come up and introduce themselves, but in front of the lads, and they're all ripped.
- 41:08SPEAKER_03: And he's going, I'm going to take your bird off you.
- 41:10SPEAKER_03: And these lads are like one of them's just drink second kidney punch.
- 41:16SPEAKER_03: Right, Chelsea, Bristol City, Swansea City, Aston Villa, Roma, EC Milan, Bisquitas, Aston Villa.
- 41:27SPEAKER_03: Oh, the big lad up front.
- 41:28SPEAKER_03: What's he called?
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, what's his name?
- 41:34SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 41:35SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 41:36SPEAKER_03: Yes, let the punters.
- 41:37SPEAKER_03: We'll give it another 30 seconds.
- 41:40SPEAKER_03: I know you know you know it.
- 41:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 41:42SPEAKER_03: I know that you know that.
- 41:43SPEAKER_03: I know that you know that.
- 41:44SPEAKER_03: I know that you know.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: And I just can't think of his name.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: When I missed the pen against Joe.
- 41:49SPEAKER_03: When I missed the pen against Joe Hard, Dennis went.
- 41:51SPEAKER_03: He knew that you knew that he knew that you knew that he knew that you knew.
- 41:55SPEAKER_03: Get what I mean?
- 41:55SPEAKER_03: I went, ah! I'll just blast it next time.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: Oh, we're having a bad week here with this.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: Um got him, Adam, and I'm Tommy Abraham.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: Of course he is.
- 42:08SPEAKER_03: Last one.
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: Glad you're here.
- 42:10SPEAKER_03: Everton, Chef Wedd, Leeds, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Nice, Luton, Aston Villa.
- 42:18SPEAKER_03: Easy.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: Ross Barkley.
- 42:19SPEAKER_03: Correct.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: Seen him on his holidays.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: Seen the video.
- 42:22SPEAKER_03: No, it's happened.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: He's smashed.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: He's just filming himself.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: Doesn't know what dates.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: He's got his cap on sideways.
- 42:27SPEAKER_03: When's this that's a man?
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: I've just seen the video this.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: I think it's in the last week or two.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: Or maybe the last few weeks, but looked like he was enjoying himself.
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: I played against him when we were like 15-16.
- 42:37SPEAKER_01: Jesus Christ.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: How big was he?
- 42:39SPEAKER_01: Well, I decided now he was that size.
- 42:41SPEAKER_03: I didn't know he was that big till Carl L played them in 2016 in the FA Cup and he was only 1718 and he ran the show.
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: Honestly, you don't realise how big.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: Who was the game against where he celebrated before he scored?
- 42:52SPEAKER_03: He scored, tapped it in.
- 42:54SPEAKER_03: You can't be I couldn't do that, mate.
- 42:55SPEAKER_03: I'd miss.
- 42:56SPEAKER_01: No, I would see him arms in the air.
- 42:57SPEAKER_03: Barry Bannon nearly done it and he missed.
- 42:59SPEAKER_01: I told you about that, didn't I?
- 43:02SPEAKER_01: He runs round it, he's to get a tap on his right foot and he runs round it and tries to tap it on his left and drags it wide.
- 43:07SPEAKER_01: Literally a full goal.
- 43:08SPEAKER_03: Who was it?
- 43:09SPEAKER_03: England v Scotland.
- 43:10SPEAKER_01: Victor the Shield, aye.
- 43:12SPEAKER_01: And then you had like your Connor Wickham, who's yeah, 6-4.
- 43:15SPEAKER_03: Honestly, like he went for millions at six.
- 43:17SPEAKER_01: Ah, he was at 12 million at Liverpool or something.
- 43:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Wickham went suddenly down.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: He was on the preseason camp with me last year.
- 43:28SPEAKER_03: Aye.
- 43:29SPEAKER_03: They reckon he was great.
- 43:30SPEAKER_03: I think you're gonna offer him a job, apparently.
- 43:32SPEAKER_03: Um they played a youth academy and him and helping the younger.
- 43:39SPEAKER_01: That was this year.
- 43:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 43:41SPEAKER_03: Apparently Wickham's went in, done some coaching.
- 43:43SPEAKER_03: Is it Fulham Academy?
- 43:44SPEAKER_03: It might be in Fulham Academy.
- 43:46SPEAKER_03: Who was the youngest player ever to score a hat trick in the Premier League?
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: Mike Owen.
- 43:51SPEAKER_00: Age 17.
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: Next.
- 43:55SPEAKER_03: 18 years and 62 days against Chef Wedd.
- 43:57SPEAKER_03: Chef Wedd with a whip for the biggest.
- 43:58SPEAKER_03: I just thought it was Robbie Fowler.
- 44:01SPEAKER_03: Right, you've got two more questions.
- 44:04SPEAKER_03: Cristiano Arnaldo, career path.
- 44:06SPEAKER_03: You've got what he says it's talk amongst yourselves.
- 44:12SPEAKER_03: Talk loud loud.
- 44:14SPEAKER_00: Born Lisbon.
- 44:15SPEAKER_00: Manchester United.
- 44:17SPEAKER_00: Real Madrid.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: Real Madrid.
- 44:21SPEAKER_00: America?
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: No.
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: America?
- 44:23SPEAKER_00: No.
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: Didn't open America, no?
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: Juventus.
- 44:31SPEAKER_01: Juventus too.
- 44:33SPEAKER_03: Don't give him now.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: He went back to Man United, didn't he?
- 44:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, was it?
- 44:36SPEAKER_01: From Juventus or was it?
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: No, I didn't.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: Man United?
- 44:39SPEAKER_01: No.
- 44:40SPEAKER_01: He went Man United and then Saudi.
- 44:42SPEAKER_03: Come on then.
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: So Sport in Lisbon.
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: Man United.
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 44:48SPEAKER_01: Real Madrid.
- 44:48SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 44:49SPEAKER_01: Juventus.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: Juventus.
- 44:51SPEAKER_01: Juventus.
- 44:55SPEAKER_01: You threw me off now.
- 44:56SPEAKER_01: Uh back to Man United.
- 44:58SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 44:58SPEAKER_01: And who?
- 45:00SPEAKER_01: Is it Alness?
- 45:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, Nassau.
- 45:01SPEAKER_03: Good.
- 45:02SPEAKER_03: Excellent.
- 45:02SPEAKER_03: Well done, Dylan.
- 45:03SPEAKER_03: Well done.
- 45:05SPEAKER_03: Right, I got this because he won me a few quid on a Paul Thurwell stagdu.
- 45:10SPEAKER_03: Who was the only player to score in four FA Cup finals?
- 45:13SPEAKER_04: Four?
- 45:15unknown: Okay, no.
- 45:16SPEAKER_03: 2007, 2009, 2007, 2010, 2012.
- 45:26SPEAKER_01: See, the plan is.
- 45:27SPEAKER_01: You act shipping at the start.
- 45:29SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
- 45:30SPEAKER_02: Well, you've done a bloody good job.
- 45:31SPEAKER_01: And you're coming to your end, do you know what I mean?
- 45:33SPEAKER_03: That's class that.
- 45:35SPEAKER_03: Right, what's the crack?
- 45:39SPEAKER_03: Daz Gaffney.
- 45:41SPEAKER_03: Cheers for the question again, lads, because he's quite a few in.
- 45:44SPEAKER_03: Great show with Murph.
- 45:45SPEAKER_03: Great player over the airs, another great cast and pod.
- 45:49SPEAKER_03: Question mainly for Lummy.
- 45:50SPEAKER_03: Referring to the colour Leeds playoff game at Ellen Road.
- 45:53SPEAKER_03: I know I've spoken with Lummy before about it, but just wanting to know what the game was like to play in.
- 45:58SPEAKER_03: Obviously, Leeds were the big boys at the time and that atmosphere.
- 46:02SPEAKER_03: What was that dressing room reaction after Friedman scored later on?
- 46:05SPEAKER_03: What was the feeling on the second leg after that goal as it changed the whole tie, really?
- 46:10SPEAKER_03: Also, could you involve Skip and Dylan if they played in any similar type play-off two-legged cup ties?
- 46:16SPEAKER_03: I know Dylan probably has, and I know Skip did for Barrow.
- 46:20SPEAKER_03: Uh, where one moment can sometimes change the whole tie.
- 46:24SPEAKER_03: Thanks again, lads.
- 46:25SPEAKER_03: You didn't.
- 46:27SPEAKER_03: Alex Neal, it was before you Alex Neal when you managed Hamilton, Hibbs were 2-0 up, weren't they?
- 46:33SPEAKER_03: And Hamilton was.
- 46:34SPEAKER_01: Was it Jason Cummins interview?
- 46:35SPEAKER_01: You remember I heard this?
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: So he came on the scene just at the end of that season, Jason Cummins, it hits.
- 46:40SPEAKER_01: They played the first leg away to Hamilton.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: And they won 2-0.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: Jason Cummins scored like a 25-foot yard or and he does like an interview after the game.
- 46:48SPEAKER_01: And you can imagine the way he is now, but even when he was like 18, yeah, like how stupid and stuff he was.
- 46:54SPEAKER_01: And they're like, oh, how did that feel now?
- 46:55SPEAKER_01: He's like, eh, my left foot's like a tin of beans and all that.
- 46:59SPEAKER_01: Like it could hold my tin of beans and I like the way he talks.
- 47:01SPEAKER_01: Get it up, mate.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: Honestly, it's legendary.
- 47:04SPEAKER_01: But that was after the game, yeah.
- 47:05SPEAKER_01: And they've still got their the second leg guy, the second leg.
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: And then they come at Easter Road.
- 47:10SPEAKER_01: I think it was two each, and then they beat them in penalties or something.
- 47:13SPEAKER_01: Alex that's when Habs get relegated.
- 47:16SPEAKER_03: Did you know um Alex Neal when he went up?
- 47:19SPEAKER_03: So he was just manager, player manager of Hamilton, because he had been in Hamilton for years.
- 47:24SPEAKER_00: And uh so they just like fall into that job because he was a player, yeah.
- 47:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and then he'd done a write with him.
- 47:28SPEAKER_03: I think he started that season in the Prem and they were about mid-table, which was fine.
- 47:32SPEAKER_03: And uh Alex Ferguson rang Norwich and went, take Alex Neal.
- 47:37SPEAKER_03: And Alex Neal was watching a youth team and they rang, Norwich rang, and like I'm not being funny, he was on a certain amount of money in Hamilton.
- 47:45SPEAKER_03: And he went down there and they went, This is what we'll give you if you go in the uh if you get us back in the Prem.
- 47:51SPEAKER_03: But there were favourites.
- 47:52SPEAKER_03: That was when if we went down, you were practically going back up, you know, the balance of the payments, yeah.
- 47:57SPEAKER_03: But um he went and watched them against Bournemouth his first ever game, and he went down at half time and sorted them out, and they were 1-0 down, one, two, one.
- 48:04SPEAKER_03: And the reporter went after went, so you start next week, and he went, No, no.
- 48:08SPEAKER_03: He went, that's on my record.
- 48:09SPEAKER_03: I've won a game, like started tonight.
- 48:12SPEAKER_03: Um, the Leeds game, so we didn't get promoted automatically, blew up a bit, but we got to the playoffs, and we had like stuttered in, and then we went to Island Road, and there was like sell out, and it was on the sky, I remember.
- 48:25SPEAKER_03: And because we had stuttered, the manager was a bit like four-five-one, keep it tight, and all that, and then we had a huddle before the game, which always done.
- 48:32SPEAKER_03: I just went, listen, guess how we've felt the last four weeks.
- 48:36SPEAKER_03: Let's just go all out.
- 48:37SPEAKER_03: I said, if we're gonna fall on my sword, let's do it how we want to play.
- 48:41SPEAKER_03: And Leeds just froze, and we we were past them off the park.
- 48:45SPEAKER_03: Kira made a couple of worldly saves early on from Beckford, but apart from that, we went 2-0 up.
- 48:50SPEAKER_03: And I remember at half time, um, we went well up at half time, and John Ward said half time, and don't be frightened to go and win this three or four.
- 48:57SPEAKER_03: And we scored quite early in the second half class goal, and then they scored in the 97th minute three minute, and you know what it's like.
- 49:04SPEAKER_03: Second, I've been I got beat off all the shots in the first leg of the playoffs in the National League.
- 49:08SPEAKER_03: I'd rather that, yeah.
- 49:09SPEAKER_03: Because when you come back, you know what you've got to do.
- 49:11SPEAKER_03: You know what you've got to do.
- 49:12SPEAKER_03: So when we lose at our home game, I was like, right, if we score, we've practically won it again, but we've got to keep the back door shut, yeah, and then House and score after eight minutes or something, and you're like stick it to it.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: They they knew what that to do all week, whereas we were going should we, should we not?
- 49:28SPEAKER_00: That Ellen Rodo, I mean, obviously packed out with some atmosphere, but it's a bit a bit tent.
- 49:33SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say, just gonna say, I can imagine it gets a bit desperate because of the league they're in, they've always been in the top legs, haven't they?
- 49:37SPEAKER_00: And when they're in league one, when they go like one or two behind are like.
- 49:41SPEAKER_03: Beckford walked off, and the fans were going mental at him, absolutely mental.
- 49:46SPEAKER_03: I was like, We've got him, we've got him here.
- 49:48SPEAKER_01: Similar to Sunderland as well, like the stadiums are amazing, like when the crowd are on side.
- 49:52SPEAKER_01: See there's a manager going there, like the opposition, see if he can get a goal or keep it keep it closed, they can turn because they've they're so used to being at the the top level, do you know what I mean?
- 50:02SPEAKER_01: And then it like frustration the way down.
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: Are we bit a colour somewhere?
- 50:06SPEAKER_01: Well, awesome.
- 50:06SPEAKER_03: Was a minute away from it that's a good one.
- 50:08SPEAKER_01: Like, see if they take see if the boy scores or whatever, and yeah, aye, the crowd are sitting there waiting to be entertained, you know what I mean, and one games and the frustration you can you can it can turn quickly.
- 50:18SPEAKER_01: Did you win the league with Hibs, didn't you?
- 50:20SPEAKER_01: So you win playoffs?
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: Um I we won the league eventually, but we got we got beat the year.
- 50:25SPEAKER_01: So see the year we won the Scottish Cup 2016.
- 50:28SPEAKER_01: We get beat in the playoffs like the week before, two weeks before, off Falkirk, literally the last kick of the ball, didn't you?
- 50:33SPEAKER_01: Oh, it was sick.
- 50:34SPEAKER_01: We was were they so we went through the playoffs?
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: Um we were in a championship trying to come up.
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, us we were like second, I think Rangers or Hearts won the league that year, and then we were second versus like fourth, the playoff, and then see who plays on the way down.
- 50:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so Scott.
- 50:51SPEAKER_01: You would have played so if we beat Falk, we'd have played whoever came 11 in the Scottish League, Premier League.
- 50:56SPEAKER_01: So literally got got to like the last minute.
- 50:59SPEAKER_01: I think well, we were winning 2-1 or something, and then they scored to put us out.
- 51:03SPEAKER_01: Literally, the last kick the ref blew the whistle, but it's like oh nightmare.
- 51:06SPEAKER_01: And then we've got a cup final in the week later.
- 51:08SPEAKER_03: Must take some pulling around.
- 51:10SPEAKER_03: At least the cup final was there though.
- 51:11SPEAKER_03: Housing scored in the last kick of the game.
- 51:13SPEAKER_03: I went the ref, how long was left?
- 51:14SPEAKER_03: He went six seconds.
- 51:15SPEAKER_03: No.
- 51:15SPEAKER_03: I went, Livesy, just go up.
- 51:17SPEAKER_03: I said, just give it to Kieran, and Kieran hit it, and it half fell, and you thought, Oh, we're gonna get another half a second.
- 51:24SPEAKER_03: Ah, and he just blew just like that.
- 51:25SPEAKER_01: That's a killer.
- 51:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, hate them games.
- 51:28SPEAKER_01: See the the Scottish Cup final.
- 51:30SPEAKER_01: You've if you've ever seen it, like Liam Henderson asked the referee how long's left, because we were obviously getting beat two each, and then Dave Gray scored in the last second, but he asked the ref they had a throw-in and he asked the ref how long's done, and he said that's it.
- 51:44SPEAKER_01: So see see before the like the throw-ins getting took the Rangers player, Liam Henderson literally just like runs away the opposite the opposite direction.
- 51:51SPEAKER_01: Ah, you watch it honestly like literally runs away for like a second, and then the you hear the whistle going.
- 51:56SPEAKER_01: Uh I mean, because he's asked them as soon as he throws it, it's done.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: Um we we um we played Telford Memster White.
- 52:05SPEAKER_03: What in the just in the final?
- 52:06SPEAKER_00: No, we so we played them in the semis, they'd finished, they were fighting for the league, and I think they lost the league on the last day.
- 52:12SPEAKER_00: Best place, the best people.
- 52:14SPEAKER_00: Um we sneaked in the playoffs on a 23 game on beaten run.
- 52:18SPEAKER_00: Ah, yeah, so the last game of the season, and we played them at home.
- 52:22SPEAKER_00: How could you just play them at home then?
- 52:24SPEAKER_00: Erm because I don't know, that's they've probably just done a drive.
- 52:28SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 52:30SPEAKER_03: Before all the like home advantages.
- 52:31SPEAKER_03: Well it was two legs.
- 52:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 52:32SPEAKER_03: Oh, sorry.
- 52:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, it was two legs.
- 52:33SPEAKER_00: So we played them at home, we beat them 4-0, we absolutely annihilated them, and that was just through like momentum.
- 52:37SPEAKER_00: You know, I just first leg.
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: First leg.
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: So what did you just do for the second?
- 52:41SPEAKER_00: They had a goal for about 20 minutes, but they're just that deflated off getting beat.
- 52:44SPEAKER_00: We we took got nil-nil at half time in the second half.
- 52:47SPEAKER_00: They just didn't really have a goal, they thought it's over, and then we scored.
- 52:50SPEAKER_00: I think it ended up being five-nil.
- 52:52SPEAKER_03: Barnsley beat um Birmingham in the championship to go to the Premier League, the first leg of the playoff, four-nil at St Andrews.
- 52:58SPEAKER_03: I said, What did you do on the way back?
- 53:00SPEAKER_03: Like at the home game, Chris Boggman.
- 53:02SPEAKER_03: I well with my flip-flops.
- 53:05SPEAKER_03: They just stepped, kicked off, and they just stepped back and went, Come on, then.
- 53:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and they just made it the worst game in the world.
- 53:12SPEAKER_03: And then Birmingham went all out.
- 53:14SPEAKER_03: I think Baldi scored a couple early on, just killed them.
- 53:17SPEAKER_00: Do you know when because we went 23 games and beaten?
- 53:20SPEAKER_00: Not for one minute did I not think we were going to beat them.
- 53:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's awesome.
- 53:22SPEAKER_00: Even though they were so, we will beat these at home.
- 53:24SPEAKER_03: We won 14 games on the trot in that league one season.
- 53:27SPEAKER_03: You just feel invincible, don't you?
- 53:29SPEAKER_03: It's even 2-0 down, Gan, not probably come back confidence.
- 53:34SPEAKER_01: You feel we said that, didn't we?
- 53:35SPEAKER_01: When the league last year, with the teams that just miss out and gone up automatically, how tough it is for them.
- 53:40SPEAKER_03: That's why thingy done well, didn't the um York?
- 53:44SPEAKER_03: York Rochdale and that York Rochdale.
- 53:48SPEAKER_03: I don't know how Rochdale got themselves going again for that.
- 53:50SPEAKER_03: That's the moddest game I think I've ever witnessed.
- 53:52SPEAKER_03: The final was a joke, though.
- 53:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was a joke.
- 53:57SPEAKER_03: Malik or whatever.
- 53:57SPEAKER_03: I went like that when he scored.
- 53:59SPEAKER_01: Aye, they're blowing the subside.
- 54:00SPEAKER_01: Don't do that.
- 54:01SPEAKER_03: And then when they took him off, I went, shouldn't have took him off because I've got no ball carrier now.
- 54:06SPEAKER_00: Uh that was uh but he when we played that final in the conference rock final, we played Stalybidge at Burton Albion's.
- 54:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Burton Albion Matt Henney header.
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: No, he tapped it in.
- 54:15SPEAKER_00: Um big Steve McNulty's headed it.
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: I think keepers padded and Matt Henny scored.
- 54:19SPEAKER_03: Why'd you call Steve McNulty big?
- 54:23SPEAKER_00: He was physically horrific, but what a sense of we'll get a picture.
- 54:28SPEAKER_00: He's what what like he does.
- 54:30SPEAKER_00: He couldn't look like that.
- 54:30SPEAKER_03: That Abdul Malik's just come up on my thing, think he's gone.
- 54:34SPEAKER_01: Was it sitting house?
- 54:35SPEAKER_01: Grey hair.
- 54:35SPEAKER_03: Look at that.
- 54:37SPEAKER_01: I have seen this.
- 54:38SPEAKER_01: What a player.
- 54:39SPEAKER_01: What a player.
- 54:40SPEAKER_01: What a player.
- 54:40SPEAKER_00: I saw he's he's uh the kite hanging out.
- 54:45SPEAKER_00: That's a big Conrad Logan that is my big goalkeeper.
- 54:48SPEAKER_00: But Matt and he used to do that week in week out, score from a yard.
- 54:50SPEAKER_00: Um but uh we we would we didn't play very well, but just because you were winning, winning, winning.
- 54:55SPEAKER_03: Finals are awful man.
- 54:56SPEAKER_03: We did finals are awful, right?
- 54:59SPEAKER_03: Next one, got two questions left, and we're done for the week.
- 55:02SPEAKER_03: Love the pod lads, always a great laugh.
- 55:05SPEAKER_03: Always a great laugh.
- 55:06SPEAKER_03: The Murph episode was class.
- 55:09SPEAKER_03: Question for Lummy Who'd win in a fight between Kev Grey and Kev Ball?
- 55:14SPEAKER_03: Also, to everyone, anybody you've played with that you'd step in the ring with them.
- 55:20SPEAKER_03: Miss the days of football hard men.
- 55:22SPEAKER_03: Why don't we have them anymore?
- 55:23SPEAKER_03: Cheers, Simon from Costadel Blythe.
- 55:25SPEAKER_03: Just a throw from me, Marms.
- 55:27SPEAKER_03: Kev Grey and Kev Ball fight to the death, wouldn't want to be any part of it.
- 55:31SPEAKER_01: Nah, I couldn't watch Kev Ball was still at Sunland when I was there, like the Batroom stuff.
- 55:36SPEAKER_01: Hardy guy, hardy guy.
- 55:37SPEAKER_01: But I don't know who the other guy is to be honest.
- 55:39SPEAKER_03: He was intense, man.
- 55:40SPEAKER_03: He was just intense, like got everything out of his career.
- 55:44SPEAKER_03: Everything when Peter Reid and Bobby Saxon took over, he was a centre half.
- 55:48SPEAKER_03: In the end, I had him as like midfielder, but rating, but also he had quality as well.
- 55:52SPEAKER_03: But he was nearly what a captain.
- 55:54SPEAKER_03: What a captain.
- 55:55SPEAKER_03: Like me and Thur laughed because we used to go fucking busy bastards.
- 55:58SPEAKER_03: And then 10 years down the line, we're seeing the same things in the Carlell dressing room as him going, Harry Paulie.
- 56:04SPEAKER_01: You mature, don't you?
- 56:06SPEAKER_01: You go, Do you know what?
- 56:06SPEAKER_01: He was actually right.
- 56:08SPEAKER_03: He was oh, what a captain he was.
- 56:09SPEAKER_03: But he was intent, like even tick, he would sort the tickets out, he would sort your family out, he was just on it, and he was perfect.
- 56:15SPEAKER_03: He was he was like anal about everything, but fight while he would just go to the death, he would go to the absolute death.
- 56:21SPEAKER_03: Kev wasn't really Kev Grey, never really you just Kev just give you the luck, Kev Grey, and you just knew if you get hold of you, you've you're dead.
- 56:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Gaz Medina's in a foxing fight.
- 56:30SPEAKER_03: Gary Medine's gonna be there's quite a lot of ex football.
- 56:33SPEAKER_03: Someone's put under is it the boy Stack?
- 56:34SPEAKER_03: Is it getting stacked was gonna tick?
- 56:36SPEAKER_03: He's aye I've heard some mad stories.
- 56:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, everyone's like anyone's getting announced, it's like, oh, should be good.
- 56:42SPEAKER_03: Someone like they put like Gary Medine up and loads of people that put underneath no one wants this score.
- 56:48SPEAKER_03: You don't be against him because he boxes anyway.
- 56:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, uh anyone else?
- 56:53SPEAKER_03: He wants to go in the misfits, then he wants to win and get on.
- 56:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, does he like do you know what I bet he's good to listen to, you know, like in press conferences as well.
- 57:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, um hardest player you played with?
- 57:06SPEAKER_00: Probably she wasn't meant to be rock hard, he was just solid, wasn't he?
- 57:12SPEAKER_00: But for me, Mac Nulty was up there like hard.
- 57:14SPEAKER_00: Oh mate.
- 57:15SPEAKER_00: Looking Bayliss was I was petrified of him.
- 57:17SPEAKER_03: Billy Whitehurst and Mick Harford, you just hear stories about them all the time.
- 57:21SPEAKER_03: Billy Whitehurst and Mick Harford said that the hardest thing was that battle though, Dave Bayless.
- 57:25SPEAKER_00: Dave Bayliss was like, obviously, we had joint managers, him and Dan and Sheridan, they were both lunatics.
- 57:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there wasn't just one like it'll go mad copy, it'll be a bit, they were just like both on you.
- 57:34SPEAKER_00: Like, oh my god, this is fucking ridiculous.
- 57:36SPEAKER_03: You'd think like someone like Vidich, because of his upbringing, will kill you, like you're from where he's from and that he gets his hands on it.
- 57:42SPEAKER_03: Like, say he was fighting all Paul Ints or somebody who was like, Oh, they'll be tapping out because they just go to the end.
- 57:48SPEAKER_01: Like Daz McGregor, I played but I was a hardy boy, was he?
- 57:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but he used to run about like he didn't play.
- 57:55SPEAKER_01: I might be wrong, I don't think he played like professionally till he was about 24 or something.
- 57:58SPEAKER_01: Like aye, he ran about the streets and with his mates and stuff.
- 58:01SPEAKER_01: And do you ever remember playing against Neil Briscoe?
- 58:04SPEAKER_00: Aye, like the Chef Word, um, no, no, he played for uh uh with a support really just he wasn't a footballer, he was just a hard, hard man.
- 58:12SPEAKER_00: Is it him?
- 58:14SPEAKER_00: Aye, he was Was he hard?
- 58:15SPEAKER_00: Looked a bit of a geek tell him that uh he was bitter so he just the way he used to tackle and head and you know, like just bully people.
- 58:25SPEAKER_00: I thought, I'm glad you're on my team.
- 58:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Dobbs is handy.
- 58:28SPEAKER_00: Is he Dobbs?
- 58:29SPEAKER_00: Scott Delby.
- 58:31SPEAKER_01: Dobbes is handy.
- 58:32SPEAKER_01: See, that was me with Daz McGregor on training that I was just honestly go like to stay away from because he was he was raw as a player, like he knew that he knew that he saw he'd say, but see like tackles and running back and see if we get close to you.
- 58:42SPEAKER_03: I've seen it ragdoll, you mean I've seen throw it back.
- 58:45SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, I wouldn't say I think someone well known in town.
- 58:48SPEAKER_00: I can imagine he's got that in his head.
- 58:50SPEAKER_00: I'll tell you, remember Steve Brooker?
- 58:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, center forward.
- 58:54SPEAKER_00: And I was laughing laughing because I was listening to Bradley Ord's podcast, and him and Leroy Lita fell out.
- 58:59SPEAKER_00: Lita's easy.
- 59:00SPEAKER_00: But Leroy Lita's is like isn't he a black one?
- 59:02SPEAKER_00: He says you were out, he was just throwing round houses trying to kick his head off.
- 59:06SPEAKER_00: Flattened him, they went out and had a screen.
- 59:08SPEAKER_03: I tell you, he was trying to do me and uh Kevin Muscat and Robinson, Carl Robinson used to play centre mid for Wolves.
- 59:16SPEAKER_03: When Lummy honestly, like just get in that dress room as quick as you can.
- 59:19SPEAKER_03: Chris Ball went, Don't worry, Lummy, I'll be there.
- 59:21SPEAKER_03: I went, get him in Morgs.
- 59:23SPEAKER_01: Remember the big um striker uh Akenfla?
- 59:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was on Soccer M and all that hot we played um where was he at again?
- 59:30SPEAKER_03: Oh, everywhere, Gillan and Wimbledon, you would have played against him for Sunland, yes, Wimbledon, I think.
- 59:36SPEAKER_03: Was it Wimbledon?
- 59:36SPEAKER_03: No, it wasn't Northampton.
- 59:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, I can't remember.
- 59:39SPEAKER_01: Wickham.
- 59:40SPEAKER_01: That was Wickham.
- 59:41SPEAKER_01: It was Wimbledon.
- 59:42SPEAKER_01: And something happened on the side.
- 59:43SPEAKER_01: I think the ball came in, they were looking for a go or something, or we were, and the boys came out to one of the staff members at Sunderland, and he's kind of grabbed the ball, and their their their kitman ran over and tried to so it was ended up like a tussle with Cookie and the other kitman who made the ball, and the refs come over, and next minute the the benches have all got together, so it was a big 30-man scrambled, and um we're all pulling each other, but I was at the back holding the jackets.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_01: I look at him, but um and I remember like I can find him I was like on the bench at the time, he was kicking off, and they were all holding back and that and he's like so.
- 1:00:16SPEAKER_01: The game's kicked on again.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_01: I'm sitting like kind of watching it, and he's like, Don't worry, lads, and he's hanging on for like the the dugout, he's hanging the dugout doing pull-ups.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_01: He's like, Don't worry, lads, I've got these uh the final whistle goes, I've I've got these lads, and I'm don't worry, boys, and I don't worry.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking how like is it where's the fire exactly?
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_01: So I'm knocking down that tunnel.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_01: Remember Jonah Santos.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_00: Remember Danny Shit who I've talked about.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_00: We play QPR away, mate, and he he shoulder barged Billy Purner.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_00: He nearly ended up in the top tier, mate.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: I thought he killed him.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_00: Why he got involved?
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_00: Shoulder barge just went over.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_01: They're coming near me.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_01: I'm like, no, letting them have it or like chatting that room.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_01: No, I'm not getting involved with that.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_03: Just following on from that Lord Pike, this is from one for the pod in your best teams.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_03: Who were the arseholes and who didn't get on?
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_03: Because we're saying not all best teams get on, do they like Terry Sheranum and Andy Cole and stuff?
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_03: I could be a bit of an arsehole on the pitch.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_00: No way.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_03: Danny Livsey could be, we could all be arseholes on the pitch to each other.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_00: But you need it, don't you?
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_03: As long as you you leave it on the pitch, it's alright.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_03: It's just some of the stuff Kieran Westwood used to say, like the old lads couldn't get away with because he's like naturally like massive type.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_03: You'd have his we should go tax is killing us.
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_03: It'd be like, that's like you get taxed because he was just a young lad, yeah, but he's a good lad though.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_03: But I see could lose his rag.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_03: But there were winners, Tom Coward were all winners, so you can lose your rag with people.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, so baliers would go back to it.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_03: Changing room, Neil Quinn, nicest man in the world.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_03: But if you won't do it, I always like cheer.
- 1:01:47SPEAKER_03: I always getting like onto Nobby Slano and Lauren Romere going fucking cross it.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_00: I always know, I mean, I go back to my barrow days.
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_00: There was a lot of scouses in the team, they could uh tear strips off each other, have each other by the throat, but see after the game, it's forgotten.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like but properly forgotten, like there's no no mention of it or anything.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_00: That's how it should be though.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_00: Like you want to wait.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_03: It's not worse than someone holding a grudge against you because you've called them shiny.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_03: Or waiting three weeks to bring it up because you're gonna be a little bit more than a good manager, get them off, get them off.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_03: Gym, yeah.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_03: I've just been to the gym, and there's a lad in there who goes in every day practically and does like these little forearms, and it gets to like I think he does a hundred, and you doesn't matter where you are, if you can't see him, all you hear is yeah, baby, and like doing it.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_03: But today I've heard him talking about that's all this lad's done is walk past them, say I'm going to Poland.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_03: He's given the whole history on Austria, Poland, what you should talk about, what you shouldn't talk about.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_03: Um, how he needs to watch himself on the back streets, and then he's teaching them jujitsu, and he's going, Duce do this.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_03: And this kid's like going, I didn't really want to.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_03: He went, just come at me.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_03: It's Kev Adam, they've done a roll and they've fucking raked us down the carf they've done a roll in the gym.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_03: Ah, in the gym floor, they've got freaking knee burns and they've raked me down the carf.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_03: I was just like, what are you doing?
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_01: Is this the boy that goes in and does like uh the with the bag?
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_01: Like and the correct, yes, yeah.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_01: I've met him a few times in the sauna and that when I was back in Valentine's.
- 1:03:14SPEAKER_01: He's a character, isn't he?
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_03: Just give it away.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_03: Um he is a character.
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_03: I fucking just rake my car off there.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_03: Um anything else?
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_03: What's on this week?
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_03: Um airport.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_03: Dealers about the airport.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, the way back.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_00: What?
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_00: Dalaman Airport in Turkey.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_00: Large Big Mac Meal, mine, medium Big Mac Mill, missus, and a kid's meal.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_00: You know, how much do you think it was?
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_00: Just a go and rate, isn't it?
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_00: £69.80.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_00: Dalaman Airport.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_00: Did you know that?
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, I I I got told it was overpriced.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_05: Fuck me.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_00: That's unbelievable, isn't it?
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_00: So if he left two nuggets, they didn't quid each.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_00: So they didn't get wasted.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_01: Aye.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_01: Aye, 69 quid, 80 pounds.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_01: To use a McDonald's, I would like a like something on the side, like surely.
- 1:04:05SPEAKER_01: But fish fish.
- 1:04:10SPEAKER_03: I fancy Philip.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_03: Philip fish are outrageously good.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_03: What's the biggest you've done?
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_03: I don't think we can be mates.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_03: I've done what's the biggest you've done after a night out?
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_03: 33 quid.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_03: Your man came in water mana we have went day in it.
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_03: So that's fair.
- 1:04:23SPEAKER_03: 33 quid on your own.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_03: That's a big old water ball.
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_03: We're from McDonald's.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_03: Aye.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_03: And that's what, 10 years ago.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_03: What was in it?
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_03: Got two of the big tasties, but I don't think they call that.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_03: I've got a big Mac, I've got the McChicken Sandwich Chaser, cheese big on its own.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_03: I think I'm and the chips, and I'd done it.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_03: I was like, I just put a film on like 11 o'clock, just going through to like was it cold by then?
- 1:04:47SPEAKER_03: Oh aye.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_03: I think I was sick.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_01: A fella fish.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_01: Like, who gets a fillet of fish?
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_03: It's upset, isn't it?
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_03: Aye, I'm not happy with it.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_03: They reckon no one's ordered one since 1984.
- 1:05:00SPEAKER_03: They're still selling.
- 1:05:02SPEAKER_03: There must be a uh there must be a market for it if it's still on.
- 1:05:05SPEAKER_03: Tell you what's open.
- 1:05:06SPEAKER_03: The McRib.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_00: Burger King.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but the standards gone.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_01: What do you mean?
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_03: Well, it just seems the standards gone.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_01: They change the chips, because see, back in the day, the chips used to be the best.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_01: Like property.
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_03: KFC have KFC have changed the chips for the better.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_01: Like Cajun kind of ones, aren't they?

- 1:05:28SPEAKER_03: Friday night in the house, Monday going.
- 1:05:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_03: Wheelstone away.
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_01: Is it an early kickoff Monday?
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_03: No.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_03: Just non should have been 12 again.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_03: What was the reason for the 12 o'clock half too?
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_03: Because the zone have promised four games before the start of the season.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_03: So if they had it at three o'clock.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_03: I don't even know.
- 1:05:50SPEAKER_03: Explain it then.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_03: He's just talking about it.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_03: His mouth's just moving.
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_03: No, it is.
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_03: He's just talking.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_03: But I thought if the Premier League, yeah, so Premier League kicks off at three, you can't have so you can out you can't you have to have a blackout.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_03: But because they put it on at twelve, so the fourth, this'll be the third and fourth.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_03: Isn't it?
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_03: That'll be the third and fourth.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_03: Put that in your pipe.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_00: So what on Friday's just three o'clock?
- 1:06:11SPEAKER_00: Seven o'clock, seven forty-five?
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_00: Seven forty-five.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, Wheelson.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_00: I think it's Astro.
- 1:06:16SPEAKER_00: Is it?
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, is it?
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_00: One there last year, didn't they?
- 1:06:21SPEAKER_00: Luke Armstrong.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_00: Is that right?
- 1:06:23SPEAKER_00: Scunthorpe.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_00: That started well.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_00: That started well.
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_00: 2,000 down on the crowd?
- 1:06:29SPEAKER_00: Why was that?
- 1:06:29SPEAKER_00: I think obviously because I got beaten, I'd imagine, but because Dylan was doing corporate.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_03: Um right, subscribe on YouTube, get their numbers up.
- 1:06:39SPEAKER_03: Better guests, better than Murph.
- 1:06:41SPEAKER_03: No, he's done well there.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_03: Right, cheers.
- 1:06:43SPEAKER_03: Thank you very much.
