- 0:04SPEAKER_02: And and his family owns a pool.
- 0:06SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm curious about something as he makes his way down here.
- 0:09SPEAKER_02: Jordan, you coming?
- 0:10SPEAKER_02: I got here you come.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Give him a minute.
- 0:13SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry, the 30 feet.
- 0:14SPEAKER_02: I guess it was great.
- 0:15SPEAKER_02: I got a really quick question for you because your family owns a pool.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: Is the i i we had the heat dome, which I'm sure did great things for your uh for your pool temperature.
- 0:25SPEAKER_02: Have the overnight temperatures where it's dropped down to like 50 some degrees, has that started to mess with your pool a bit?
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: Like this is the dead of summer.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: Like is it dropped in temperature or what?
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Uh slightly.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, last night checked the pool temperature during the heat dome was what like in the mid 80s.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Now it's warm.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, that's a bathwater.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: It's great.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: Now now it's more like high 70s-ish.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's okay.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I still think that's comfortable.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Don't you guys think?
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: If it was a hot day.
- 0:50SPEAKER_02: If it's not a warm like yesterday, I wouldn't have been in a pool yesterday.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know if I would have, except for to clean it.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: I used to always love when I own I owned a pool for two years.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: So I would get in almost every single day and just like walk around and clean it.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know why it was so therapeutic.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: No, I just say the question.
- 1:07SPEAKER_02: Do you ever do the cleaning of the pool?
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Uh here and there if if they need help with it.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Do you have one of those robo vacuums?
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Your parents seem like they would have one of those.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: My my my dad actually does have one of those.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: We had one too at the time.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: And also, there's always one person in the house who's very anal about keeping the pool clean.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: And I was always that person.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: There's all it's always a dad.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: A dad's like, I gotta be out there every single day.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, there's a leaf at the pool.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Get the leaf out of the pool!
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: I'm not mowing alone.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: I gotta be cleaning the pool.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: It's fine.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: I was I was just trying to figure that out because that's the thing.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: We've had, and we're gonna have it again today.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: I mean, today's gorgeous.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: 85 in sunshine.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: What are you doing today?
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Anything fun?
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: Uh no, the kids are hanging out with uh their summer uh care lady, and uh she goes, let them stay later today to go swimming.
- 1:52SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I'll do some work.
- 1:54SPEAKER_02: You know you should do what something that you don't do very often.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Go home, take a nap, do something, you know.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Fridays are kind of busy though.
- 2:00SPEAKER_02: I got I got things I do, I have to.
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: Oh 10 30, see a losers.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: All right, well, you pretty much got me covered there.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: I was wondering if that was the case where, you know, because I again we're not even the 60 yet this morning.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: It is that time of year.
- 2:16SPEAKER_02: Look, I'm not complaining.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: Understand, NYSEG can kiss my ass because I don't have to have the AC rolling.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: Oh, I turned it off.
- 2:22SPEAKER_02: But I I will say if you have a pool, you know, but kids don't care.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: That's the thing.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: I I told you this yesterday.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: Remember, I I said Gavin and Lydia went swimming on Monday, and I asked them, well, how was the pool temperature?
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: And uh Gavin's like, oh, it's kind of cold.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: Lydia's like, you gotta move around.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, right, right, right.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: It's like, okay, so all right, well, that's good.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: Thank you very much.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: I appreciated that.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: I want to hit some text messages really quick, and then I have to tell you the weirdest and best thing that I ate from the the Corning Farmers Market yesterday.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Sure, yeah.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: So 3490, good everyone, T G I F Lawrence here, T G I FGIF from Eliana.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: I do love Doug's text.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: He says, Things not to do on the Scott and Allie show, Bible quotes, math.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: Uh, let's see, Canadian wildfires and days of the week for you, Allie, since yesterday.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: You thought it was Friday.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: It was so weird.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: And I don't know why.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: I think it's just because I haven't been sleeping very much with my dog.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: He woke me up at 10 30 and 11 30 yesterday.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Last night.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: Yes, exactly.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: So finally Which was Wednesday, right?
- 3:17SPEAKER_02: Which was just I'm Saturday.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: I'm kidding.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: Saturday, yes.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: So then I finally, and I know this sound maybe I don't know if this sounds mean to you or not, but Junior always sleeps in the bed with me, and last night Zach wasn't there.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: So I at 11 30, I was like, I can't, I can't do it.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: So I put him in his bed in the living room, shut the door.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I don't care.
- 3:37SPEAKER_02: I sometimes you have to.
- 3:38SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: So you said yesterday you had started putting a like a night light on for him.
- 3:43SPEAKER_02: Didn't work, huh?
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: Um, well, at first when he's in my room, like in my bed, I don't have a night light because I don't want it.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: And I thought, well, maybe that's what it is.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: So that's when I moved him to the living room and I put a little, I put the leg lamp on for him.
- 3:55SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh, very good.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: But best thing I had yesterday, Corning Farmer's Market.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: So I they have the Amish chicken barbecue.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Now the chicken barbecue is delicious.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: That wasn't the best part.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: The beans were fantastic.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Also, not the best part.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: The best part, and when I saw it, I'm like, what the heck is this?
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: It is, think of potato salad, but shredded potatoes.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: So it was like shredded potatoes, of course, man.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: With ash brown potato salad?
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Dude.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Whoa.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: It was so good.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know if this is an Amish thing or what, but at first, because they have a cooler and they're just scooping it out, and I was like, What am I getting like Aldi potato salad?
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: I thought that's junk, right?
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: But then when we sat down, we went to spare.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: When we sat down, I was like, what what is it?
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: This is no this isn't from a store.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: Shredded potato salad.
- 4:45SPEAKER_02: Did you ever have that, Jordan?
- 4:47SPEAKER_02: No.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was amazing.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: And of course it's got the other, you know, uh accoutrements of a potato salad.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: Did was the flavor like even better because the shredding?
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: You know, like sometimes I feel like it was.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: The cubes.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: Because it wasn't, it wasn't like, you know how Scott, you always say when you eat certain potatoes and things like that, like mashed potatoes, that you're always like, Yeah.
- 5:08SPEAKER_02: When sometimes tasty.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you eat potato salad and it's like, Wow, this is a big chunk of a dry potato.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: No, no, not at all.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: It was the best thing.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: And then the other thing that happened too was so Spare Park is obviously named.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Well, if you guys don't know, maybe somebody's new to the area.
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: This is a possibility.
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: I mean, this has been a few years.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: So Spare Park is named after a um policeman who was shot in the line of duty.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: So we for some reason we were like on this romantic picnic.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: We're here under the gazebo, and then we move over to the benches, and Zach's watching the birds while the Amazon trucks are like beep, beep, beep.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: I'm like super romantic.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: But also, what didn't make it romantic?
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's romantic though, because when they show up at your house, you're like, Yeah, beep at me again.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right, exactly.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Give me a double honk, honk, honk.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Uh, but it was we we started talking about that, and he's like, Oh, do you remember the other officer, Officer Gleason?
- 6:03SPEAKER_02: And I was like, Wow, this this Whoa, he really remembers a lot of the details.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Well, apparently, Officer Gleason is more from his side of where he was raised, like Hornell into Dansville.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: And so I'm like, man, this this kid this little uh picnic is getting just so romantic.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: That story's getting Yeah, right.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: You're really talking about all the the good things.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: And then I told him about the story with the uh the woman who gave her husband laxative and and glued his butt cheeks together.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: Uh I need to cover that in just a second.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: I I um that story is I I you know what?
- 6:36SPEAKER_02: This chicken barbecue is delicious.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this is trying to potato salad anyone?
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: Hmm.
